I'm afraid my French isn't good enough to write this review, so it will have to be English. To non-French-speaking travellers -- Françoise and Gilbert can speak a decent bit of English, certainly enough to muddle through (along with our broken French), so you needn't worry about misunderstandings. The village, although we did not have time to explore, was very pretty, and as noted above did have somewhere to eat if you arrive early. This was without doubt the best Air BnB I've stayed in. You should jump at the chance to stay here if you're in the right area and passing by! Me and my partner loved it here and only wish we could have stayed longer. Françoise and her husband Gilbert were extremely welcoming. Our journey to them had been delayed at the Channel Tunnel, and so we arrived late; but they were very relaxed about it, and even helped us to an impromptu dinner -- there is one bar-restaurant in Neuvy-le-Roi (and a pizza van that stops in the square), but unfortunately both had closed by around 9pm. However, the dinner of cheese, bread, and salami was perfect, and it was very kind of them indeed to accommodate us (that they gave us dinner is best taken as a signal of just how hospitable they were, rather than something future guests ought to expect). The description of the house is accurate: it is a beautiful 18th century house with a lovely garden. Guests are treated to their own small apartment, with a living room, bedroom, and bathroom to themselves. The bed was very comfortable, the village was quiet at night, and there was a good view from the window. Breakfast was delicious: a selection of bread and jams, pastries (and a frangpane!), apricot tart, and macarons. It was the kind of thing you would expect from a 5* hotel! Overall, to reiterate, you should definitely stay here if you get the chance. Françoise and Gilbert were wonderful hosts, the house was lovely, and we couldn't have asked for more. What a lovely beginning to our holiday.

On recommande chaudement !
