Liam and Debs were very kind and sociable, they made us feel very relaxed and at home. They offered us walking advice, weather updates, lifts, beautiful breakfasts with excellent views out onto their garden with lots of wild birds and they were great company. We had interesting chats about their adventures canoeing in Scotland, ecology and sociology. All round very impressed with them and their lovely home.

Liam was a great host, friendly and approachable. He left us to our own devices and although we were in his house, due to the location of the room, it felt private

For a hygge hideaway in the misty mountains look no further than this snuggly spot. The room was wonderfully homely, spotlessly clean and very quiet. The location is perfect for exploring Snowdonia and is a lovely place to come back to after a wet and windy hike in the mountains. Liam and Debs were full of wonderful ideas for our stay and gave us lots of insider tips and tricks which made our trip really special and truly memorable. They are very knowledgeable and we loved chatting to them over breakfast. Liam's famous porridge was just as delicious as previous reviews have suggested and will become a firm favourite! We had a fantastic time getting a taste of what it's like to live in this beautiful National Park and very much hope to return!

Just came home from a long weekend stay at Liam and Debs beautiful home! We absolutely loved it! They made us feel exceptionally welcome from start to finish. Their home was in a brilliant location for climbing Snowden and also to the lovely beach you can drive along, and a nice local village, all of these places we knew of because of Liam and Debs wealth of knowledge. The weather was absolutely awful but they had loads of ideas on things to do and always had a warm, welcoming, cosy home for us to return to after our days out getting soggy, so we still had an amazing time thanks to them! The room was perfect. Decorated beautifully, with very homely touches. There were tea and coffee making facilities and fresh towels in the room, and your own shower/toilet facilities in a very modern bathroom. And of course, last but not least, breakfast was always lovely, with a variety of delights available including Debs making fresh muffins, and Liams famous porridge was the best!! I will definitely be returning if they will have us! Thank you Liam and Debs! X

Liam and Debs were brilliant hosts. They made us so welcome and we found their advice regarding the local area and recommendations for good places to eat invaluable. For breakfast Liam made us his renowned porridge, which was just what we needed before spending a day on the mountain. The accommodation is pristine, including the wet room and to wake up in the morning to the birds singing was just the best start to the day. There was parking available at their home and with our own entrance we could come and go as we pleased. Debs beautiful garden was a haven to sit in and we would highly recommend anyone thinking of booking to go ahead. We are already sure that we will go back again next year.

This has to be one of our favourite places in the world. Every morning we were spoilt with Liam's "hipster porridge" and watching the magic window whilst Debs taught us every bird and leaf that we saw. The room is beautiful, clean and the views are spectacular. Liam and Debs gave us brilliant directions to climb Crib Goch and they always know a more scenic route whether it be driving, hiking or walking home drunk. We love the house, beautifully decorated by Debs' art or a picture of one of the family doing something adventurous. If you truly want to experience how to live locally whilst being spoilt by two of the coolest hosts, this is where it's at! Thanks for having us Liam & Debs, hope to see you again soon!

Brilliant picturesque cottage nestled in a beautiful valley in the heart of Snowdonia right at the base of Snowdon! Perfect as a place to relax with family or friends, we enjoyed our stay immensely!

This place is utterly stunning. If you want to be away from it all, then this is the place for you. You are submerged into deep Snowdonia, surrounded by the best of Welsh countryside. The cottage has everything you could possibly want and feels like a home, rather than a holiday cottage. It is remote but the directions provided by Richard were great, and in a world surrounded by mobile phones, it was bliss to have no signal and no wifi. It is ideally placed for climbing Snowdon (just ten mins away from the car park for Miners Track), and Zipworld is around 20 mins away. There were plenty of other activities all within a 30 minute drive but we couldn't fit them all in! We stayed as a family group of six adults and the house was a perfect size. For us the best bit was sitting around the kitchen table whilst preparing dinner, as the heart of the house for us was the kitchen. Every amenity had been thought of by Richard - from dishwasher tablets, logs for the fire and even board games/DVDs! Richard is a lovely chap, and made us feel very welcome during our stay. We all agreed that we would be back again in future and we cannot thank Richard enough for allowing us to use the cottage as our base for the long weekend.

I love north wales it's one of my favourite places to visit. We normally camp here but decided for my 30th to rent Richards house. I would love to come and stay again the house is beautiful it's in a stunning location and is homely and inviting. The kitchen has everything you need and the bathrooms are modern and clean.

A really special spot. Great for groups. House was described and easy to find with Richards directions. Would certainly stay again. Only thing would be Wifi would be a bonus, but very much a place to be cut off.

This spacious farmhouse offers a wonderful opportunity to stay in a secluded, quiet, beautiful setting. The views from the lounge, patio and bedrooms were wonderful. Each of the bedrooms was nicely furnished and clean. Both showers in the bathroom and wetroom were good. The huge kitchen had everything we needed with a lovely big dining table. The second lounge is full of character, but we didn't get to use it much as the weather was so good that we spent most of our time on the patio outside, but it must be really cosy in winter. We particularly loved watching the beautiful sunsets over the mountains and the changing light throughout the day, not to mention the visiting sheep up to the gate. We would definitely want to stay again.

Fantastic escape to this beautiful cottage. Evenings spent happily in front of the wood burner. Kitchen is great for cooking so we stayed in and enjoyed the unique surroundings. You are right in the heart of Snowdonia so it's easy to access walking and adventure. Nick and Charlotte were fantastic and recommended some good walks. Would recommend to anyone wanting escape to beautiful North Wales.

Directions were good as cottage is off the beaten track. Nick was welcoming and helped us with local knowledge. Loved the fire and hot tub after a hard walk up Rhyd Ddu path.

Our stay in North Wales was really fantastic. Six adults stayed at the cottage and even the ones in the bunk beds slept very well. The cottage has a well stocked kitchen and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We went for a terrific 8.5 mile walk right from the front door which gave us wonderful views of the mountains, rivers and beautiful wild flowers. On return the hot tub, which is located in a little out house, was fun. Nick was a really friendly and helpful host. Highly recommended!

We had such a wonderful stay at Buarthau. The cottage is beautifully done and well kitted out. Nick and Charlotte really have thought of everything and were fantastic hosts. While the cottage is cosy, we didn't feel cramped (and we had six plus a baby and a fat dog!). It wasn't the weather for the fire pit and swims in the river, so instead we spent many a snug night by the fire inside. The walks in the area are stunning. A very special spot. Wish we'd stayed longer. Thank you!!

We loved staying in this traditional, rural cottage in the stunning Snowdonia National Park. The accommodation was clean, very homely and the directions and tips we were given prior to our arrival from Nick and Charlotte were really useful! We would thoroughly recommend the cottage and would love to stay again in the future.

Nick & Charlotte made us feel very welcome the moment we arrived at this stunning, isolated cottage. I only have positive remarks for the long weekend we spent there and now, some fantastic memories. The cottage was well maintained with plenty of little details to make it feel unique, especially enjoyed the fire pit area and the hot tub too.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the cottage for 3 nights with our dog. The cottage was lovely, cosy and very nicely decorated. It had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen. The location was perfect for walking the dog and for climbing Snowdon. The cottage is a 10 minute walk out of the village which is perfect as you can walk along the river to get to the village. Here there is a very well stocked village shop and multiple pubs.

Hen Tan Rhiw cottage was a great place to stay in the lovely village of Beddgelert, a really convenient location for Snowdon and Caernarfon. The cottage was well equipped, clean and lots of local details (maps etc) were provided to use during our stay. We would highly recommend staying here and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The communication with Steve regarding directions and key pick up were very detailed.

This is the perfect location for all the nature lovers out there! The quiet town is simply perfect, with beautiful rivers, and trails. The cottage was perfect for our small family and came with everything we needed. The hosts responded to all our questions and concerns very promptly.

I was there for a race and the house was on the half way point of the bike course. It had everything i needed ad for my friend who was supporting me. Lovely clean and warm house with shops and pubs near by in a great location for exploring the area.

The location of the house is perfect for travelling around Snowdonia. Because the house is in the center of Beddgelert, we could walk around a beautiful footpath of the village . Communication with Dave is good and helpful. We have to bring bed linen and towels , which are not included in the prize. And the house is a little shabby.

David's cottage was in the perfect location to allow us to explore the region. Free Wifi was a godsend since mobile coverage is generally not great given you are in a national park surrounded by beautiful mountains. David was great with tips and communication to help us make the most of the holiday. I would definitely recommend the cottage to my friends and family who want to visit Snowdonia since it is clean, tidy, cosy and reasonably priced.

This was my first experience of booking and staying in an airbnb and what a lovely experience it has been. Sian our host was extremely efficient, helpful and available to any queries. The cottage itself was very well equipped, clean and in walking distance of all the local amenities and some beautiful walks down the river and up the mountains. It is also a short drive to get to Snowdon which was our particular aim for this trip. I would have no hesitation in booking this specific accommodation again and all I can say is the experience has been all positive. Thank you so much for a fantastic few days.

This beautifully refurbished cottage was everything we could have wished for. We spent almost a month here, it was cosy, clean, generously-equipped and Sian could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Sturdy children's toys and books were a bonus for our 2-year-old grandson. We would love to return, many many thanks for such a great place to stay.

Spent a lovely week at the cottage. Siân was very helpful but was on holiday at the time of our stay. Despite this she did everything possible to make sure we had all we needed for the week. The location is amazing, gorgeous views and so many nearby walks - the dogs loved it just as much as we did! Cottage was clean on arrival and cupboards stocked full of books, maps, games and anything else we may have needed.

My boyfriend and I chose Sian's cottage as we were looking for a base from which was could climb Snowdon and explore the surrounding area. Sian was very helpful in the lead up to our stay giving us all the required information about the cottage. When we arrived, the cottage was absolutely spotless and exactly as pictured. We found it very cosy, especially with the wood burning stove and the cold weather outside! The kitchen was well equipped with everything we could need and everything was beautifully clean and easy to use. All of the bedrooms were lovely, and we were very comfortable. We drove to Pen-y-pass from the cottage which took only 15 minutes and allowed us to start out Snowdon climb. It was the perfect place for our holiday! Thank you.

The pictures don't do the cottage justice, it's a lovely space in the perfect location. Lora was very responsive and communication was easy. We had an issue with the bath leaking and the single bed was very unstable, however it really didn't effect our stay and we had a wonderful time. Would highly recommended this cottage for a nice quiet break.

This house in a perfect location for Snowdonia walks and for relaxing in charming Beddgelert. We spent Christmas week here, and Amy was so lovely to put up a christmas tree and decorations for us! Unfortunately we didn't find the firewood (it is in a cupboard that joins the neighbours' house), so we had to stock up. Also, despite our conservative usage, we had to top up the electricity key. The house was really spacious and very clean! The kitchen had the essentials, but if you are planning to cook big meals, then you might find bringing an extra knife, chopping board and teatowel useful because there is only one of each. A fantastic Christmas holiday, and we hope to be back in beautiful Beddgelert too. Many thanks Amy for sharing your house.

We had a wonderful stay in this perfectly situated home, just a short 3 minute walk from the heart of Beddgelert, and approx 20 minutes drive to mount Snowden. The home was well equipped for our 2 night stay, including logs for the cosy wood-burning fire. The 3 bedrooms were all spacious and comfortably fit our party of 6. Lora was great to communicate with and check-in was very smooth...I would definitely recommended to others and would love to stay again!!

Absolutely fabulous stay! Callum was amazing in answering any questions and very quick to respond! The house is great if you have a large group. We had 14 all together and allowed us to find our own spaces within the house for quiet time! In a lovely area but would be great within season as there would be more to do! Overall was an amazing experience and would highly recommend!

Amazing cottage at the foot of Snowdon, and Lisa attended to our every need. Have never stayed anywhere with a waterfall in the back garden either and our boys had great fun paddling and dam building! Cottage warm and comfortable and the WiFi worked well. Thanks for a great stay.

Ty Maen is an absolute gem of a find with incredible views and access to hiking and any other outdoor activities one could possibly dream of! The cottage was so graciously stocked with enough necessities to get us started and the fresh free range eggs were delightful! Lisa and Chris gave excellent suggestions for hiking and sightseeing in the region, but even just hiking in the area right around the cottage would have sufficed, especially since coming back to the cottage and the boulder perch right outside my bedroom window were my favorite times! An experience not to be missed for sure!!

Wow! We loved every minute we spent at Lisa's cottage and found that 4 days was not enough! The scenery is absolutely stunning and provides a tremendous perspective of Snowdon Mountain. A gorgeous waterfall flows down the mountain along the side of the property. The cottage was cozy and romantic, clean and welcoming. We did not want for anything. There was plenty in the area to keep us occupied.. the local pub was wonderful and within walking distance. We were able to take a hike right from the cottage up the side of the mountain along well marked paths where the sheep roam freely. Most attractions were with in about 30 minutes in any direction, which makes the cottage a great central location to castles, ruins, train rides, etc. We couldn't have found a better place to call home and can't wait to go back.

This Place is beautiful! It is just exactly as shown in the pictures. Lisa is a wonderful host, always helpful when you need her. She had some very good advice for us and the kids, for hiking in the surroundings. We enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast in the beautiful garden. Especially the kids loved to take a bath in the very refreshing little river just behind the house. It is the perfect place to calm down, relax, enjoy Snowdonia and be active in the mountains. It is almost too nice, we actually could have spent all day just there with the sheep, chicken, garden and river. Thank you for this wonderful week Lisa!

Wow, what a fantastic place to stay. The location of this cottage is absolutely perfect if peace and tranquility is what you are after. If you are into hill walking, you can walk out of the door straight onto the Snowdon range or the Glyderau. The cottage itself is well furnished with great sized bedrooms and a cosy living area. The bench outside the front door is a beautiful place to sit and take in the spectacular scenery. Lisa and Chris were great hosts and advised us of routes up the local mountains and places where we could wild swim. The plunge pool just 2 minutes walk from the cottage made a perfect place to cool down after a strenuous days walking (and occasionally first thing in the morning to wake us up). All of this plus a supply of free range eggs from Lisa and Chris's chickens made for a fantastic break. Can't recommend highly enough.

We really enjoyed our stay, despite the very wet weather. The location was perfect - right on the edge of the Mt Snowden so you could walk straight out the door and the surrounding scenery was stunning. The hosts were very helpful - and the free range eggs for breakfast were delicious!

A perfect place for a retreat from the city with a most amazing view. Chris and Anita are the most welcoming hosts. The house is comfortable and not too difficult to access by car. If u are looking for somewhere away from city life. This would be the best choice. With its greenery and mountainous scenery accompanying you throughout. House was really cosy and clean. I had my best sleep during my stay with Chris and Anita.

My wife and I had a wonderful, tranquil stay at Anita and Chris' cottage. A short drive out of town - or enjoyable stroll down a wooded path- the large cottage offered space and privacy close to the town and hiking. Directions were perfect- very clean, well stocked - nice amenities-under floor heat, wood stove and comfortable bedding made this so homelike. Great manual and advise on local hikes and dining. Staying here really made the trip.

We had the most enjoyable stay at Chris and Anita cottage. It's located right in the middle of nowhere.. I mean Snowdonia of course! and if you are looking for a break from city life it's just a perfect place! There are amazing views on Snowdon and other mountains around with forest starting at the doorsteps, so a quick walking/hiking trip is always an easy option. Cottage itself is just wonderful. We've got everything we needed. Nice comfy beds, amazing modern kitchen with dining table and nice living room with sofas. We would definitely recommend stay at Mountain Magic and we hope to come back there soon!

We had a great time at Mountain Magic, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, walking up Snowdon despite the weather, Mountain Biking in Coed-y-Brenin and generally ambling about. Chris and Anita are excellent hosts.

The cottage was absolutely lovely, spotlessly clean and the homely extras such as shampoo, shower gel, Welsh cakes, were extremely appreciated. Do make sure you read the guidebook for tips about the area and be aware of the strict recycling in Wales! The location is beautiful, a car is vital to get around but every where is within easy reach and it is a lovely walk to the village for afternoon tea. Thank you both for having us!

The hosts Chris and Anita were very friendly upon arrival, they showed us round the accomodation and there was even eggs, milk, bread and a few other bits for us to use which was much appreciated. The location is stunning, views of Snowdon and the surrounding forest and other mountains are spectacular. The actual accomodation itself was fantastic...everything you need in the kitchen for cooking, and a nice log burner complete with logs and kindling to use in the living room which was a nice thought. The bedrooms and bathroom were also spot on. Will definately want to return as I don't think it gets a lot better than this! Mitch

The Beddgelert house is superb. Very modern and open space that can easily fit a family of 4 or even 6. No issues checking in or out and everything was well prepared for us. Beddgelert is a very lovely little village and lots of gorgeous scenery. Take a steam train ride right from the back gate or climb Snowdon from only minutes down the road. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely time in Beddgelert House. It's very clean, tidy and cosy with the wood burner providing that extra warmth when you return from a day's walking and exploring. Beddgelert is the perfect location to travel around Snowdonia and there are lots of pubs, cafe's and shops in walking distance. We didn't take the train from the station behind the property but would recommend booking when you are there - we will be back to do that one day for sure. The tea & biscuits on arrival was a treat after a long journey.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Jackie's home in Snowdonia. It was very well appointed, stylish and cosy. Situated in a beautiful village, it was close to many excellent walks. We also enjoyed visiting Portmeirion, only 20 minutes away. Very easy living, and well protected from the weather! A good place to hunker down with our family.

My family and I recently stayed for the weekend at Jackie's home in Beddgelert over a weekend when we climbed Snowdon. The home is lovely with three good size bedrooms, two bathrooms (one shower, one bath), a well equipped kitchen and large living room. The home was perfectly situated for this with a local (very cheap) bus to a suitable car park from which to start a couple of the walks. Beddgelert is a very pretty village with restaurants, pubs and a great pizzeria and ice cream shop! We also visited Portmeirion on the day we weren't climbing Snowdon - this was only a 20 minute drive away and a lovely day out. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Jackie's home!

This was an excellent location and very cosy cottage in the heart of Snowdon! Ian sent perfect instructions to get into the cottage including plenty of information about the surrounding area. The cottage is located in a small village with an excellent pub nearby with great tasty food! The cottage is cosy and comfortable with everything you would need and is excellently located to explore North Wales! We would love to stay again

We had an amazing three days in Snowdonia. Ian's cottage was as described, we had everything we needed. Ian even provided us with BBQ, so we had a nice evening cooking a meat after climbing Snowdon. Cottage was also very warm and clean. Thank you very much Ian.

Great little place in a fantastic location at the start of two paths to Snowdon summit.

Ian's cottage was the perfect stay for us. We wanted to be in a more isolated area of Wales and also convenient to Mount Snowden and local hiking. His communication was superb and the place was spotless and very inviting. We especially enjoyed the spacious upstairs sleeping area. The local pub and restaurant took care of all our food and drink needs, especially after a great day of hiking. The fully equipped kitchen area was a plus.

Ian's place is such a cosy, clean, comfortable little cottage; perfect for a couple's break. The bed is comfy, the shower powerful and hot. There's plenty of info on the local area in Ian's welcome info provided prior to arrival and on also in the cottage. For walking snowden it's ideal with the Rhy-ddu and Ranger's path stating right by the back garden. I thoroughly recommend and would love to return.

Incredible location. at the foot of snowdon - perfect for the Ryd Ddu walk. B&B across the road which is wonderful! And a very smart and lovely pub/restaurant a stones throw up the road. A phenomenal place for exploring and relaxing. The cottage itself was perfect. Arrival gift was really thoughtful, plenty of games for an evening in, maps and local info readily available for a day out. Ideal kitchen and superbly comfy beds. Would love to stay again.

Lovely cottage in an excellent spot for climbing Snowdon. The facilities are excellent and it felt like coming he after a day in the hills. Would certainly recommend

We spent a great few days here. The listing and photos are accurate. Importantly we woke up warm even in mid-February! Katrina was great and quick to communicate with, posting the keys well before we were due to leave. She also left a file with the local information and set up of heating and wifi etc. The pub was great, open during the day, serving 9 ales and with roaring fire. Would use again :)

Beautiful little cottage in a superb location. There was a lovely welcome pack waiting for us when we arrived and the cottage felt very cosy, with superb views from the top of the back garden. The local area is stunning with the Rhyd Ddu path to the top of Snowdon as you walk out the door. The pub across the road is definitely worth a visit, as is the nearby town of Beddgelert. Katrina was very helpful, sending the keys and instructions in plenty of time for our stay.

Great pub just across the road and incredible landscapes around. Katrina provides all essential info for the cottage and a really nice welcome pack. We got that feeling of staying forever there. We had a lovely stay at this cosy & comfortable character cottage. Communication with the owner was good & she posted the keys (to Australia!) well in advance of our trip. The welcome pack left for us was much appreciated. The location was beautiful & the back garden was lovely. There were plenty of games & dvds for the kids.

This is a surprisingly spacious cottage in a fantastic location at the foot of Snowdon, ideal for walks. Quite enjoyed having a daily bath instead of the usual shower, although the hot water did run out fairly quickly. The only downside was not having any phone signal at all and only being able to use the landline phone in emergencies, so we couldn't call ahead to restaurants or to enquire about activities unless we drove a few miles away, so I would advise making any phone calls before you go if possible. That said, the WiFi was really good so was easy to browse the net for info. You can watch the steam train from the back garden and the café opposite does gorgeous cakes! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a quiet break in the beautiful heart of Snowdonia.

The 'Grooms Quarters' was not very well described on the website. It could show some better images of the rooms. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived late Friday night. I would suggest studying it's location on '(SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps' and 'Street View'' - then, if you arrive tired in the dark- you will find it easily .
