Great place, well furnished, clean and cozy. The hosts were extremely helpful with check-in, cleaned up the rooms during the second day. Complimentary snacks and muffins were extra nice touch. Overall its a great place, located in a train depot, next to a great restaurant, we got priority seating for dinner, and vouchers for breakfast on Sunday. Great stay!

Kelsey and Eze were terrific hosts! I was in my way back from work and wanted to go to Treehouse Brewery on my journey home. Their place is about 15 minutes away from the brewery and easy to get to! The house itself was immaculate! I don't know how they keep it so clean, but it was amazing. Beautiful house inside and out. Wonderful people, could not have asked for better at my first AirBnB.

What a wonderful first airbnb experience! My mom and I stayed at Kelsey and Eze's beautiful historic reproduction home while exploring the Brimfield antique fair and couldn't have been happier with our stay. The home is immaculate and beyond clean. Kelsey was very communicative and check in was a breeze. Our room was equipped with wifi, a Keurig and some snacks- which were all nice touches. Great place to stay.

Another reviewer described this cottage as "magical," and I couldn't agree more! I'm from coastal Massachusetts, and my best friend from college lives north of New York city. We decided to meet somewhere halfway to celebrate the first weekend of fall with hiking, apple picking, and farm festivals. We rather randomly found Wales on the map, and found this cottage, and I feel like it was less by chance and more by fate that this happened. There is something very special, very peaceful, and very rejuvenating about this place, and Catherine could not have been a nicer person or more communicative and helpful host. As other reviewers have mentioned, she left us goodies in the fridge and gave us a lot of great suggestions for things to do in the area, tailored to our interests. The cottage itself is clean, cute, and cozy. There are books, videos, and board games, if you end up spending time inside. The deck is lovely, as is the lake at the end of the street. Beds were phenomenally comfy, and shower pressure was fantastic. The pictures of the cottage accurately convey its appearance, but can't begin to convey the special feeling you get when you stay there. My friend and I both highly recommend it, and hope to go back when we have more time to really sink in to life at the lake cottage in Wales! :)

I can't even begin to say how much we loved our stay! Catherine is the most gracious host and prides herself on her vintage cottage. It is clear how much love is put into the decorations and care of the cottage. From the moment you walk in you feel relaxed. Love the outdoor shower, kayaks, deck, and overall peacefulness of the cottage. Exactly 5 miles from Brimfield, and close too many other attractions. Anyone wanting a relaxing peaceful vacation should consider staying here. We will be back.

This little cottage is so charming! It retains its 40s design but is updated for today. The addition (sleeping porch) is perfect: beds are good, it's quiet, and you can either let in the night air or use the combo A/C-heat unit (there's another one in the living room). The place is very very well equipped with everything you might need, and your hosts will make sure you get anything else you require. Highly recommend.

As soon as we Arrived Catherine was there to meet us, and what a wonderful host she was! The cottage was clean and just as seen in the photos. If we needed anything during our stay, Catherine was there as soon as possible to take care of it. very friendly and safe neighbourhood. Great place to come back to after many hours in the sun shopping in the towns antique market, that was just minutes away! Hope to be back again soon! Highly recommended!

Truly a log cabin, with wooden character throughout the place giving it a distinct charm. All the areas are super clean, and up-to date. It's secluded but not too far from neighbors or the towns so it's a perfect middle ground- quiet and peaceful!

WOW !! We absolutely loved this cozy cabin in the woods, like other reviews the pictures don't do this house justice. The space was spectacular in every way. Right from the minute we drove up and opened the door we knew that it would be hard to leave ! It was cozy, and clean plus the serene location can not be beat ! We felt cocooned by the surrounding woods and the wrap around deck provided a much needed connection with nature. The home was equipped with everything needed for a relaxing vacation but mostly we enjoyed the homey feel and family photos. We are so grateful to our host for sharing this beautiful place and can tell how much she loves it too ! Sandra is by far the sweetest host we have ever had ! We texted back and forth all the way up until she knew we were settled in comfortably and then she respected our privacy ( actually missed talking with her and hope we will be able to meet next time ! ) To us Sandra and her cozy cabin in the woods is what AIRBNB is all about. My friends and I chose this place because it was secluded and quiet. Neighbors aren't too close but it was also pretty easy to get to. The home is a beautiful log cabin that looks just like the pictures. The home was very clean and Sandra left us condiments to use as well as a lovely blueberry bunt cake! If you're looking for a weekend away from the city and noise, this is the perfect place!

A comfortable room! Very cute with train artwork around the facility and room. We were welcomed warmly and taken to our room promptly. The Inn was extremely clean and very roomy. There were other families staying at the inn and we didn't hear one other guest the whole time we were inside our room. Coffee and muffins in the morning. They also own a restaurant that is walking distance and very good called the Steaming Tender. I'd go back!

We could not have had a better experience; the host met us and made us feel right at home. We later had dinner in their fine restaurant (their Jack Daniels bread pudding is to DIE for!). The room is especially well-equipped with ultra-nice bedding. We highly recommend this as a place to stay!!

Definitely a destination. I felt really lucky to have found this place, and the communication and cleanliness could not have been better, and Robin went out of her way to accommodate our every need, including giving us a bigger room when there was a system glitch for the same price and helping us find a sitter from her waitressing staff!. It was nicely decorated and the bonus of getting free dessert each night at the very cool restaurant owned by the same people kept us coming back for more! Will definitely want to stay here again when I next go to Brimfield/Sturbridge Village.

We absolutely loved our stay at the inn! The place is comfy and welcoming, with a motif of lovely dark-wood trim and railroad-inspired furnishings throughout. It's also conveniently located near area attractions like The Big E (25min) and Treehouse Brewing (10min). Our spotlessly clean 2nd floor king room with its beautifully appointed sitting area and bath provided all the amenities you'd want from a hotel room (TV, alarm clock, hair dryer, etc) but managed to feel more like a cozy bedroom suite than a hotel, which is exactly what we wanted for our weekend stay. Both Robin (the proprietor) and Scarlet (the innkeeper) made themselves available for any needs, and were so warm and accommodating in all our interactions, including the aftermath of a good-sized drink spill. The continental breakfast items were fresh and delicious - we also enjoyed dinner at their associated restaurant (The Steaming Tender) so much, we came back for their Sunday breakfast buffet which was also great. I would definitely stay here again next time my travels take me in that direction, and would recommend it to others without hesitation.

My wife and I stayed the night @ Trainmasters Inn because of it's proximity to Tree House Brewing Co (10 minute drive!). Robin met us at the Inn and from the first minute there we knew we'd be back. The people here are so friendly, the Inn is spotlessly clean and all the neat little train things really make it one of the nicest places we've stayed. We're already looking forward to a return trip in the future.

Good place to stay in Monson!

We wound up needing a place to stay in Massachusetts at the last minute, on our way to Maine, and we had our dog and two kids with us...not easy to find a place, right? But Airbnb to the rescue! Michelle, the host, made it easy and seamless. Her communication was quick and friendly. The house was ADORABLE and absolutely perfect for our needs. Warm, clean, inviting, and comfortable. She and her husband have great taste too, so it was an added bonus! The decor is really lovely. We were walking around the yard and discovered the outdoor shower! Who knew! It was awesome! We stayed at this quaint home for the Brimfield antique market, which was only 5 mins away from everything - even better - was in the opposite direction of Sturbridge so we didn't hit any traffic congestion. Michele was such a gracious host providing everything we needed and more. Thank you for such a terrific experience!

We stayed here the weekend of the Brimfield Antique Show in May, and I highly recommend Michele's place for other people interested in Brimfield! The location is perfect, just a 10-15 min drive from the show! And because this house is west of the show, we managed to avoid a lot of traffic heading east at the end of the day. On top of that, Michelle is a great host! She accommodated our late arrival Friday night and left a very helpful note with information about the house and the area as well as some wine and chocolate (which we definitely indulged in after a long day antiquing!). Her house is very clean and provides all the comforts of home as well as some fun extras like the rope swing and hiking trails. We didn't have a chance to use the bikes or kayaks, but the fact that they are provided for guest use makes this place a fun little country retreat!

Lori's cabin was exactly as described and just what I was looking for. Lori was an excellent communicator and host. I intend to stay there again. Thanks!

What a great week! Lori's cottage was wonderful. It's quaint, efficient, perfectly appointed and totally delightful. The lake is directly across the street and ready for swimming, kayaking or fishing. Lori has set up a beautiful outdoor area and welcomes you to share it. Although the bathroom is not inside the cottage, it is literally 6 steps away and was not even a second thought. Access to the washer and dryer and anything else is all there. Lori is a perfect host. I will definitely stay again.

Good location....close to the race track, great water front view, and our hostess was very thoughtful. Communication was quick and Lori was very flexible as our plans changed regarding check in. We will be back later in the summer.

Lori's cabin is really quite adorable, and located in a peaceful area. My only suggestion is that you read the description carefully and understand: it's very small; the bathroom is not attached, it is inside Lori's home; Lori lives only a few steps away and prefers to meet you in the daylight and show you around. These are not criticisms, they are to make you aware that if you want little or no contact and the ability to blow in late and out early this might not suit your needs. Otherwise, it's great!

We couldn't believe our luck in finding this little gem, when even the nearby motels were booked for Brimfield Antique week. The cabin was immaculate and the surroundings can't be beaten. When you wake up, you don't even need to sit up to have a lake view. There is a pretty good restaurant with outdoor dining just up the road. We will look forward to enjoying this serene retreat again.

Robin is extremely friendly, honest and helpful and this was a great place location for the Brimfield Flea. (It is exactly 1 mile--I walked it, though with all the walking at the fleas, it can seem a bit far!) If you are expecting a hotel atmosphere, this is not it--there are 2 young boys and lots of animals, parents that work full-time, so expect a bit of family chaos/noise. There is some noise/light that leaks in from the kitchen in this room and early risers, but should be fine if you want to hit the fleas early! The tables/dressers in the room were pretty dusty, but wet wipes and clean towels were provided. Bathrooms are shared, room doors do not lock, but it is charming--goats, chickens, ducks, cat, dogs and a nice front porch & beautiful kitchen area.

Farmer's paradise is correct, there are a few extremely friendly goats and chickens grazing the property. It's a bit surreal. The option to purchase farm fresh eggs is an added bonus. So close to Brimfild, was perfect.

We were so glad to have our accommodations accepted for our same day stay. Robin left us a note on the door for our 9pm arrival, her family still awake. However, we were quite disappointed to discover the listing was not accurate. The bedroom is private, however the bathroom is shared. It was very unclean and we woke in the morning to urine on the seat and floor. Robin explained in her note on the door that the heat isn't turned on until November 1; temperatures dropped to below 40 during the night and we hardly slept we were so cold even with the extra blanket, one of which appeared unwashed. I was woken before 6am to the sound of the TV and shortly after unpleasant exchanges between what I assume to be family members. Our bedroom door was opened twice, before we got up for the day at 8:45am. The best part of our stay was the friendly goats behind the house when we quickly left to find the nearest restroom.

We stayed with Robin while we shopped at the Brimfield antique shows. The location was great and we were made to feel right at home. We enjoyed our stay with Robin.

Robin and her family were very accommodating for my sister and me while we were at the Brimfield Flea Market. The farm setting was so quiet and relaxing; it was perfect. We had a great stay at Carolyn's cottage. It was clean and cozy. Nice back yard with fire pit and barbecue. Only a few steps from the lake, we took out the kayaks a few times. Overall a great experience!

Everything was great! We definitely came more prepared than we needed to be. Carolyn had everything you could need for a quiet weekend away. We hope to come back again.

We had a lovely stay at Hope Cottage, stopping there mid-way between our home and a family member's for a couple of nights. Originally we intended to check out Old Sturbridge Village but the cottage was so relaxing we just enjoyed coffee by the lake, a nap on the porch and lounging on the comfy couches instead. We enjoyed a walk through the neighborhood where there are at least two historic cemeteries. (My partner is a history buff so he enjoyed this aspect). The cottage is homey and lived-in. And Carolyn left eggs and even home-made cookies! We recommend bringing food to cook as dining options in the area are limited without taking at least a 20 min. ride.

Carolyn was very kind and flexible to my specific requests for this trip. She also left us some delicious breakfast food and helpful notes. We'd be happy to rent Hope Cottage again.

My husband and I took our two young daughters to stay at Hope Cottage at the end of August. We loved the very short walk to the beach (three houses away!) and the homey feel. The location is perfect for relaxing, visiting Old Sturbridge Village, or Brimfield, of course. We also loved our visits to Westview Farms for dinner and ice cream, the Wales Irish Pub, and Treehouse Brewing Company. Highly recommend!

Very nice was the reception with homemade cakes. The cottage is beautifully situated on a calm lake, lake for swimming. Beautifully also the garden. Couple has plenty of space. We could even have each his own bedroom. For breakfast everything was provided, coffee, tea, water, cereal, eggs. We have the cottage also used to drive for a day to Boston. In Ca. 1 hour you are at the Riverside Park and Ride Terminal and can from there take the subway to the center. We would return.

Upon arriving, Beth, Dave (& Cooper -their loyal lab) welcomed us to their lovely home. Communication before, during, and after our stay, either by text, written note or email/etc., was fabulous. Beth had coffee, fruit, muffins, cereal, & yogurt ready each morning and both her and Dave were very helpful with tips/directions to the fair. What a pretty house -it wasn't pictured in the listing so I was surprised at what a gorgeous home it turned out to be. it was like a mile or two from the first field at Brimfield antique show so it was super easy. I avoided all the Brimfield traffic which was great. The room was just as pictured - very clean and cozy with a shared bathroom right next door. The hosts dave and beth were lovely. Beth gave me some great recommendations for dinner spots near by. They had coffee ready early in the am for me to take with, and also fresh fruit and water to take out for the day. I would definitely stay here again (I might book for July?!) and recommend it to anyone who needs a nice and easy place to stay.

Wonderful hosts, extremely comfortable beds with charming decor in a beautiful home, minutes from the Brimfield fairs. We received the best hospitality from Dave and Beth. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit with them, breakfast, and of course their sweet and friendly dog. We will definitely return!

Beth and Dave have a beautiful home, very close to the Brimfield Antique Show. It is not walking distance, but a very short ride. Cooper the dog was very sweet. The mattresses were excellent, and everything scrupulously clean. A lovely breakfast of berries and muffins was included; I don't know if they do this for all guests or if we were special. ;-) Thanks for a comfortable stay.

The host was friendly, helpful, and very responsive. The space is as shown in the pictures. No surprises. It has high ceilings and open concept. Like it a lot. Parking is convenient. Less than 50 ft from front door. The location is peaceful and safe. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed over Christmas with another couple and our dog; everything was super easy and we had a great stay. Directions for checking in were clear and simple. Space was very clean, it's very new feeling. I think recently remodeled. Wifi was fast and adjusting thermostat also very responsive. We made use of the kitchen, making breakfast one morning. Also enjoyed the tv that had netflix and the internet radio. (Signed into those with my own accounts). Bathroom has an epic tub. Communicating with the host was fast and straightforward. We would definitely book again.

Our stay was very short but the Artist Common was perfect for our family of 5 + dog. The location was just off the Mass Pike and close enough to Amherst for us. There were plenty of food options in Palmer which was a quick 10 min drive. Our 3 kids loved the bunk beds and the fact that we were staying in the basement of a church. The master bed was plenty comfortable for my wife and I. The bathroom was very clean. We would stay here again.

A very funky spot with lots of room for folks to sleep and well equipped for cooking (thus, great for families with a bunch of kids). Julia was very responsive and helpful.
