Wonderful clean, well equipped and spacious apartment in a fantastic location super close to the Monister de Montserrat. My wife, two daughters and myself had a great stay here and hiked from the apartment door to the monastery and beyond on easy hiking trails accessible from the village.

A comfortable apartment with all amenities and located in a privileged place in the quiet old Monistrol. With a privileged view of better profile of Montserrat. Ideal to go for a visit to the mountain and make excursions. The hosts were very friendly and also provided all the necessary information in the area. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend this apartment. The apartment itself was very comfortable and clean, and the host provides all the basics you might need to start your stay. As an extra, there is a wonderful view of the mountain from the balcony. Monistrol de Montserrat was a lovely little town. We wished we had planned to stay longer.

Definitely stay here to visit the monastery. The old world European style villages with its winding alleys is very fun to walk.

We needed a place to stay on the night before flying out of Barcelona, and this was a perfect option for our family of five. The view of the mountain from the living room was lovely, and it was a great perk to be able to walk to the rack rail line to tour the abbey in the afternoon. Check-in and parking was easy, and both a small grocery, restaurants, and playground were nearby. A quick 35 minute drive to the airport meant we had no stress on the morning we flew out.

A great place to visit Montserrat from. A newly renovated 2 bedroom apartment, large and comfortable with a sunny terrace that has views of the mountain. In a good position in the town being 10 minutes from both the railway station and the rack railway. Had a great stay.

It was very thoughtfully designed. Oddly enough in travelling for a month through out Spain, this remote spot was the only time we found TV programs in English.

They should consider that he has to check in at the hotel and restaurant Guilleumes. They serve a good menu. We got a discount for staying on the floor.

The host did not have the apartment available as agreed but had still kept a room within the hotel Guilleumes, this hotel is well located for visiting the monastery and the regon. The welcome and the room was very good as well as the accés.

Lovely place in the near suburbs of Barcelona. Very peaceful, nearby the Montserrat monastery, which is more than worth a visit. We all had a great time, and the swimming pool was more than welcome and used in the mids of July, under 35+ degrees ... An ideal place to be in if you have a car to travel and get by. We stayed for one week with two of my friends while climbing in Montserrat. Elies was truly fantastic host that took care of anything we needed - from late arrival, to infinite coffee supplies to help with local orientation. His place is a real gem - very comfy, clean and quiet.. And the morning view over the mountains is simply unbeatable. Recommended!

Elies was an incredible host. From his amazing house with the perfect view and wonderful book selection, to his recommendations for our short overnight stay, Elies went above and beyond to make sure his guests were comfortable and had everything we needed. We got back to the house late on a Monday night, and though most restaurants close early, he went as far as polling some of the people around the town for a place for us to have dinner. Elies, thanks so much for taking care of us in your beautiful, well equipped home. We hope to come back soon.

Elies is a very very nice guy! It's true, we had a language barrier which made it difficult to communicate, nevertheless he was an amazing host! In the entrance to his apartment stands a old gramophone (that still works!), when we asked him about it he played it to us and then offered to show us the town. After a quick trip (after all it is a small town), he took us to the neighbor building which apparently he also owns, and we've entered and discovered a fully 19 century apartment with the entire furniture still in place that had belong to his ancestors. With a lot of music instruments laying around (guitar, harp, piano, buzuki, accordion, and more). According to Elies he owns around 1000 instruments! That was very unexpected for us, and made the trip an amazing experience! Thank you very much Elies!

Collbato' pleasant stay in the house of Elies, old and completely renovated inside, is very beautiful and is located in a charming part of the village. Tenants have the large top floor, from where one has through the large bay window great views of the mountains of Montserrat, beautiful hiking site. Despite a premium home first a little cold, we were pleased with our stay.

We enjoyed our stay in this warm and spacious apartment. Comfortable beds and great location within the old part of town. We found free parking each day about 80 meters from the apartment which Jordi pointed out to us. Very kind hosts. Our stay at Jordi&Montse's place was fantastic. The apartment is located in the heart of Collbató right next to the Montserrat mountain and has everything that one needs for even a longer stay: well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bathroom and all the amenities. Montse was so wonderful friendly and helpful giving us hints about the apartment and tips for our journey, so we felt like home during our stay.

We decided to stay in Collbató instead of Montsarret at the last minute when our other airbnb cancelled on us - which turned out to be a great experience. Collbató was a very quiet town, which was a nice change of pace from Barcelona. It has a few restaurants and access to a less traveled hike up the Monsarret mountain. Jordys place was very comfortable, well worth the value and as previously Mentioned in other comments - the pictures do not do it justice. All in all it was a great retreat and I would gladly stay there again if given the opportunity and recommend it to anyone who would like to take the road less travelled. Thanks and enjoy!

Unfortunately, after our family stay (1 couple + 2 infants + 1 adult) on a long weekend. David is absolutely charming, smiling and very available to make the stay enjoyable (inviting us to use the toys and books available). The house is a little on the edge of Collbatò but has 50m from a nice bar / bakery, 300m from a perfect leisure center for our eldest (3 years) and 300m from a supermarket. Well placed also to walk around Montserrat. On the other hand several sources of disappointment. First the house is located on a strange place very noisy all night (car passage, mobile homes) and you can also hear the TV programs of the neighbors. In addition, the description of the house is incomplete: it is not specified that the bed of the parental bedroom is only 1m80 in length (very unpleasant when doing 1m85 ...) or that the second bathroom is. .. at the back of the courtyard (knowing that the first upstairs is tiny and quite unhealthy). Last point, the house is an old family home with this stamp proper to grandmother's houses and the small flaws that go with it. But the charm of the old does not exclude cleanliness / storage (poor bedding in all rooms, lots of dust everywhere, strong odors on the floor around the bathroom, things hang inside The house and in the garden including the linen of previous guests, a breakage of bicycles etc). Sorry for this comment David. I hope it will encourage you to make changes.

We loved our stay in Collbato! David's place is very comfortable, well equipped, and easily accomodated the five adults in our family. The ambiance was wonderful, with thick stone walls, a vaulted ceiling, and beautiful furnishings. Easy access to wifi made it very convenient to plan outings. A supermarket is a short drive and we enjoyed several meals in the back yard. We loved exploring the old town, hiking around Montserrat, exploring Cova Freda, and seeing the Abbey. L'illa Restaurant in Collbató is a short walk from the house and had great food. David was very helpful in suggesting restaurants, places to visit, and providing topo maps for hikes.

This is very remote and I would recommend coming with some supplies as the nearest shop is 1hr walk. Having said that this is probably the best airbnb experience I have had. You are right in the middle of nature, and Monserrat itself has an incredibly restorative energy. Monica welcomed me like a family member, and insisted I treat the place as my own. She was very communicative before my stay, and made sure I was sorted with trains, etc. The house has a very rustic vibe, and forms part of an ancient hamlet. I met some of the other residents, who were all very friendly. I also enjoyed tasting various teas Monica had prepared herself from local plants. I went on a walk up the hill one evening, which gave fantastic views over to the monastery and local countryside. As long as you know this is not the Hilton, I really couldn't fault it in terms of location, friendliness and general atmosphere. I would definitely return.

Monica's home is so beautiful, I was blown away. Really feel like we found a gem here, and would recommend anyone who wants something a bit different from their stay. Monica was a fantastic hostess - it felt like staying with a friend. She picked me up, took me to the supermarket to buy food, shared meals and introduced me to neighbors and showed me around the fascinating ancient hamlet. I loved her home - it was full of so many beautiful artisanal touches. I highly recommend staying with her, walking to the Montserrat cable car and visiting the monastery. Listen out for the sound of the bells on the way back - they sound incredible as they echo and resonance across the valley. If you get the chance, ask for a massage from one of her neighbours - really special. If you're looking for somewhere rustic, surrounded by nature and great views and to meet some interesting people, this is a wonderful place. The only downside was the distant sound of traffic. I hope to return.

Was a dream stay for some days in monica's house, its very artistic and interesting to look around. If you like nature and good people thats may be your place . I was not excpecting anything of what i had the luck to experience in can tobella . Was a cultural exchange be around monika and her friends. I hope you will love it us much as i did.

La maison de Carmen est super ! Très bon emplacement, pas trop loin de Barcelone et surtout très intéressant pour ceux qui aiment le vélo, courir ou faire de l'escalade (très beaux paysages du mont Serrat). L'hôte a été très à l'écoute et très gentil, et a répondu à toutes mes questions même plus ! Il y a plus de ce qui est annoncé sur la page (wifi, machine à laver, lave-vaisselle, etc.) Que de bonnes surprises ! Je recommande très vivement ce logement et cet hôte !! Encore merci !!

The stay was very nice. Jaume and Alina were very hospital and told us where to go and what we should see in the neighborhood (for example a beautiful hiking tour). We definitely recommend the place to others who want to have a few relaxed days out of Barcelona.

I loved every minute of my time at Alina's home! The house is located in a super-sweet little village minutes from gorgeous hiking trails in the Montserray mountains, with a wonderful bakery and grocery store less than a minutes walk from their front door. My bed was incredibly comfortable- I slept very well! And my room had a gorgeous balcony overlooking the mountains! But best of all was Alina's family: I felt like I was visiting beloved friends. They told me where to find the best hikes, shared their wine with me, invited me into their dinner with friends, and I was. Fortunate enough to receive a beautiful acupuncture treatment from Jaume! I left their home filled up with their generous love and care! Thank you!

We had such a lovely stay at Alina's with her family. The room was very spacious, and the house was beautiful and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Looking out to the mountains from the balcony was the perfect setting for our time in El Bruc! We will definitely return!

Alina and Jaume are the warmest and friendliest hosts I have ever had during my stay in Spain. I felt like being among friends and got help and support to all questions and concerns. We had a lovely stay in this magical place. The natural environment is unreal and our host, Nathalie, very welcoming. We wished we could have stayed longer to exchange stories but as we say in Spanish: "de lo bueno poco" ;)

Nathalie was a lovely host. My friend Matt and I had the pleasure of staying in her cabin and the view was stunning. Will have to come back and visit someday! We had a beautiful stay at Nathalies place. It's very calm and nice with a good atmosphere. The lunch and breakfast (muesli) was rich and tasty.

We stayed in the cabin for one night a week ago. We found it thanks to detailed instructions from Nathalie and printed (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps directions - otherwise we would most likely be lost. The location is remote... the cabin sits on the mountain with a fantastic view of Montserrat. Unfortunately, we haven't met Nathalie but she's sent us details of how to get there and anything we needed during our stay. We were able to use the facilities in the house (bathroom, kitchen and wifi) and it felt that we had Montserrat to ourselves. The cabin is a simple small room, clean and cosy. We had no issues and a great experience staying at Nathalie's place and would highly recommend to those who want to escape from civilisation and reconnect with the nature.

This is such a beautiful place it's difficult to put into words. First of all the back and forth communication was excellent: I was picked up and dropped off at the railway station without a hitch. I was also picked up from Montserrat Monastery after a day's hike on the mountain. This a beautiful family with 3 lovely cats (one who is the most affectionate cat I've ever encountered in all honesty). The sunrise, sunsets and views from the cabin are spectacular: you have a clear view of both east and western horizons and the cabin is positioned on the foothills of Montserrat Mountain. The cabin was warm, quaint and comfortable. I used a gas heater during the night. There was the smell of gas coming from the heater although there is a ventilation hole at the top of the wall where it stands against. If anything I would say use it sparingly and don't leave it on full blast for long periods of time. If you love the peace and quiet of nature and truly exceptional scenery then I believe you will love this place. Don't hesitate, just book.

We were pick up at the Monistary, fed wonderful meals and dropped off on our way out. They are a beautiful loving family who have provided local information. A great location if you like hiking in the mountains. Beautiful location!

This is our dream house! Absolutely stunning views, private garden and terraces to just watch the stars or see the sun set. A comfortable bed, cuddly cats walking around and just very good vibes all around. Nathalie and her family are very warm and welcoming people, we wish we could have stayed there for longer!
