  • A fun getaway place. We felt rested and relaxed after two carefree days at the Black A-Frame. Clean and comfortable. We loved the new heated chairs on the deck...perfect for late night drinks and star gazing.

  • House and amenities were exactly as described! We loved being cozy by the fire and cooking. Bed was super comfortable. Jeremy responded to our messages (before and during stay) lightning fast. Really couldn’t ask for anything more.

  • A beautiful A-Frame Cabin in the woods that was exactly as depicted in the pictures on AirbnB and Instagram. Stunning natural light through the windows, a lovely fireplace. This is the place to decompress, chill and enjoy time together. We had a lovely weekend away! A few helpful pieces of feedback for fellow travelers: - I was impressed by how clean the place was, particularly bathrooms & kitchen (by far the cleanest I've seen an AirBnb) - The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots & pans, dinnerware etc. Only thing missing was supplies such as aluminum foil or plastic wrap etc (no biggie) - Water - as the cabin is on a well/septic system you can't drink the tap water and when we arrived there was only a small amount of drinking water left in the Brita system in the fridge. The spring water tap isn't a far drive and was easy to access but we definitely wish we had been made aware to get some before arrival and/or that the Brita was full. - Clean and comfy beds & bedding - such a treat! - Fireplace was lovely and such a central point of our evenings with firewood supplied. - As the place is booked continuously, we had the cleaning company knocking on the door at 12:00pm sharp on our checkout day. We were a bit surprised by the promptness right at noon and having people appear before we left, but as checkout is noon we were packing up our bags to leave anyways as we should. I would definitely recommend the cabin for anyone looking to escape the city! Thank you Jeremy!

WE HAVE WI-FI! IF YOU'RE GOING TO SHUT IN, WHY NOT DO IT IN NATURE AND AWAY FROM CROWDS? Sleep staring at stars in wine country! Just 90 mins from NYC, but a world away. 30 acres of rolling hills give total privacy & isolation as glass walls open up onto endless views of vineyards, orchards, & wildlife. Modern comforts (WiFi, A/C, loaded kitchen) mean you don't have to give anything up. (Please click the button below to expand & read full listing BEFORE booking! You'll see why I ask at end!)
Hi! If you're thinking of booking, please message me BEFORE putting a booking request in to confirm, and also please read the entire listing to the end as it likely answers any questions you may have... Welcome to The Glass House. Come see what the press called "The World's Most Beautiful Tiny House" and The Today Show called an "off-grid oasis." Sleep staring at the stars and feel the stress melt away in this glass-enclosed tiny house (just 180 square feet!) retreat, just 90 minutes from NYC, but a world's away. This is a truly special place, and most people find it surprising that it can exist so close to New York. With all sorts of wildlife coming within inches of the house (don't be surprised if you see coyotes, families of deer, and every type of bird you could imagine--not to mention more butterflies than you've ever seen, depending on the season), this is a truly immersive experience into nature. But despite its small size and isolated location, it is surprisingly luxurious on the inside. The listing includes: -A 180 square-foot glass-enclosed tiny house, offering spectacular 360-degree views of the Hudson Valley and surrounding vineyards and apple orchards -Lots of privacy on a 30-acre farm, featuring a modest lavender field! (Super special/rare for the region) -Outdoor dining and lounging furniture, along with access to a fire pit that you can definitely grill on. -A plush queen-sized bed with a super-comfy memory foam mattress and insanely comfortable pillows -A dining table with two chairs for sitting and eating and/or working. -A modern stainless-steel kitchen with a mini-fridge, induction cooktop for cooking, microwave, and electric kettle. Despite the small size, it has just about everything but a range oven. -Wi-Fi for keeping in touch with the real world and streaming shows on your personal devices. Also note that while the house is tiny and has a maximum occupancy of two people, I am sometimes able to accommodate larger parties for those bringing tents and willing to camp outside. Please inquire about pricing for such scenarios. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Q: Can I get to the house without a car? A: The house is about 20-minutes driving from the Beacon Metro-North train station (about 90 minutes from Grand Central). If you choose not to drive the whole way there are Zipcar pickups at the train station (reserve in advance!) and Uber JUST launched in the area (roughly $20 for the ride from the train). A car is highly recommended (especially if you want to explore the area), but this definitely makes things possible for the car-free—just be sure to show up with everything you need for the stay as the farm is in a rural area that is not particularly walkable. Q: Do I need to bring towels or linens? What about a hairdryer? A: Nope! I provide all these things. Same with basic toiletries (unless I happen to be out, which is very rare). Q: Is this house really off the grid? A: Yep! It features solar panels for power, a propane HVAC system for heating and air-conditioning, and a unique dry-flush toilet (more on that in the "Other Things To Note" section below). One exception: You absolutely have working Wi-Fi. Q: How will I receive the key? A: The house features a keyless entry system with a code that lasts as long as your stay. This allows for effortless check-in and entry. Q: Is the place professionally cleaned between guests? A: Yes, and I take pride in providing a clean home for guests. Take a look at my reviews—I think you'll find my guests agree! Q: What's up with the cleaning fee? A: I get a lot of questions about this, so I'll just break it down so you understand why it is what it is: All but $10 of that goes directly to my cleaner. She is a professional who does a great job and who I insist on compensating fairly for her work. The dry-flush toilet cartridges cost me about $20 apiece, so the remaining $10 lets me split that cost with guests. (Of course, if you happen to use more than one cartridge, I cover that cost alone). Q: What's my total booking price? A: I honestly have no idea. With fees included, Airbnb only shows the guest, and not the host, the total cost. This figure should be present after you enter your dates. Note that, pricing varies on a daily basis, and Airbnb actually uses some crazy algorithm to adjust it automatically, so I don't actually control this. Q: I am looking for a last-minute stay. Can I make a same-day booking? A: If you're looking for a same-day booking and the place is free, please inquire and I'll try! It depends on whether my cleaning crew can spring into action at the last-minute, which isn't a sure thing. Check-in may also have to be later than the listed time in order to make sure the place is ready. Still, can't hurt to ask. Q: I know it says "No Animals". Can I bring my small/well-behaved dog? A: I love dogs, but there is a farm dog who gets very nervous when other dogs are around, and so we can not allow animals. This is also for your dog's safety, as there are coyotes in the area. Basically: Please don't try to sneak one in--this really doesn't end well. Q: I'm a blogger/YouTuber/influencer. Can I stay for free? A: No. NEW: There's now a second tiny house at the farm. If you have a larger group and are looking to rent both (the new one can hold three people), definitely inquire. ONE LAST THING:I really, really appreciate that you followed directions and read the whole thing. Please put the phrase "Don't throw rocks at glass houses!!" at the top of your message so I know you did so as such bookings tend to go so much smoother! And thanks for hanging in there!
The Glass House is situated on a 30-acre farm in the rolling hills of the Hudson Valley. Guests have total privacy, but are joined on the farm by the main farm house, a smaller residence with live-in caretakers that can help out in case of an emergency, and one other tiny house. Around the farm are views of rolling vineyards and apple orchards—many of which are absolutely worth a visit. Downtown Marlboro is minutes away and has a few nightlife and dining options, and the hopping town of Beacon (home of the Dia; Beacon) is about 20 minutes away. Storm King Art Center (a must) is also about 25 minutes away. Also near: New Paltz, Cold Spring Poughkeepsie, and countless other Hudson Valley gems. While it is far easier to reach the Glass House by car, guests can also take the Metro-North train to Beacon, and then take a taxi or Uber (20-minute ride). As this is a rural area, it is not walkable and guests who arrive without a car should arrive with all the supplies they will need for their stay. UPDATE: Uber recently launched in the area, which makes things MUCH easier for the car-less. It should cost you around $20-$30 to ride from the Beacon train station. A car is still recommended and you'll still want to arrive with all the supplies you need, but the train is now a definitely real option.
  • Staying in Seth's tiny house was truly a unique experience! The house is very clean and stylish, as well as highly functional. We were able to cook a full meal with all the kitchen amenities. Seth also provides a number of activities of the stay, including games, a puzzle, and books. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay at the tiny house and would definitely stay here again.

  • A cozy and intimate atmosphere. A relaxing environment to enjoy time to yourself or with a friend/partner. Amenities are well kept and clean. The layout of the home creates a spacious environment while still giving the experience of downsizing. Nice view at night of the moon and stars.

  • Amazing!! My best friend and I decided to take a spontaneous trip somewhere upstate and stumbled across this cute little house on Air BNB. Not only did Seth respond to us in a timely manner, he was attentive off us throughout our stay there. Checking in was super easy (which was amazing since we got there around 12:30AM) and checking out too. If you’re considering staying here DO IT! You won’t regret it. I just wish we had more time. We’ll definitely be back!

  • Amazing stay! Would recommend to anyone. That's it!

  • We've had an amazing stay at the tiny house! It's super cute, the big glass windows make it amazing during both day and night. Seth was a very attentive host, super helpful and quick to respond. The local tips provided in his manual were very useful. Highly recommend!

  • This tiny home is AMAZING! My wife and I spent the night here and loved that secluded, back to nature feeling. It makes your realize what you take for granted in a typical home. Seth has created a special place in this tiny home. Go check it out!

  • The tiny glass house is such a delight - so much that this is our second time back! Seth is as always, a consummate and attentive host. I also happen to know him personally and he responds to his Airbnb messages faster than text or email (it's that much of a priority to him and I think he puts it on a special alert)

    David2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny glass house is a little slice of heaven. Don’t miss the opportunity to reset, relax, and unwind with this unique and beautiful hone!

**The house consists of 4 pods as is in the Bali tradition and there they are connected by walkways , all off which we have enclosed to protect from the elements. However the halls being not heated / insulated so walking from the bedroom to the kitchen/ dining in the inter you might feel cold. Our family & many renters are totally ok with this but please consider it for yourself:)** Enveloped by 7.5 acres of woodland, private pond and grassy pasture,it will lull you into its haven. It's the perfect marriage of the organic materials , handmade craftsmanship and the location that set you up in the peaceful state of mind when you spend some time here. After few hours here your body clock settles into a restful pace. I'm still not sure wether it is the memories of vacations in Bali or Thailand that get waken up while I'm here or the serene location or maybe there are some magnetic fields deep under ground, but I tell you, I sleep better here than anywhere else. Comfort, serenity & feelings of well being radiate in this place...Of course the super fast internet, Apple TV, 55" HDTV, luxurious bathtub next to the fireplace, the chefs kitchen : You should find in the kitchen most everything you could possibly need to create memorable meals. The pond is spring fed ( go for a swim ) , there is place for all your vehicles , your mobile phones will work just fine . With imported materials from Indonesia, it was built by hand by the inhabitants of Bali. I think we have covered everything but if you are our guest or just browsing and see something missing or think it can be improved , please let us know...Piotr and Kay. Don't forget the farm stands and swimming holes and Lake Minnewaska. The premises are equipped with exterior security cameras. Cameras are not monitored for guest safety in any way and should not be relied on by guests for personal security or security of their belongings. Cameras may be used to enforce and verify compliance with rental policies. Any damage caused to cameras by guest may result in a partial or complete loss of security deposit funds.
Please respect our home and our neighbors, The Bali House is a quiet sanctuary, if you are planning to party, carry on loud gatherings or any other excessive noise activities, this is not the house for it. Hiking, fishing, rock climbing, antiquing or getting pampered at Mohonk Mountain House Spa. The house is located in the middle of a completely private lot, you drive down a tree lined road and then turn into a 1000' driveway further lined with mature trees & lawns. The property is a home to abundance of bird species and you'll hear them singing as you drive in.
  • My friends and I had a great time in Piotr and Kay's home. The design and environment of their house was exceptionally special. I would definitely return again and recommend this to anyone interested in a unique experience.

Place is exactly as pictured, is clean, and fully stocked with amenities as described. Had a wonderful time and will be back!! Thank you very much Piotr and Kay!

  • A woodland sanctuary. Absolutely stunning and peaceful place to stay with an incredibly unique design and atmosphere. Owners are also wonderful and quick responders. Thank you so much for our stay!

  • Absolutely amazing. Cleanliness: Great. Everything was clean and organized. But what I really loved was that they provided extra supply so that we can help keep it clean! Some places just offer the bareboned accessories but wont leave any supplies to clean, which ends up in a much bigger mess. Thoughtfulness: They left a nice gift as a surprise for us when we arrived. We really appreciated that. Amazing location. Beautiful house. We came in the winter and everything was appropriately warmed. It was a nice quiet NYE indoors, with a working fireplace and a jacuzzi. Answered very promptly every time a question came up. Very reliable. Would absolutely recommend this place!

  • Very unique home in a beautiful, quiet setting. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire place! The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook big meals and there was lots of space for our group of 8. Piotr and Kay were very easy to get in touch with. We enjoyed the stay very much!

  • Beautiful unique home, perfect for our weekend artist retreat birthday celebration. Piotr and Kay were super responsive to any questions. We hope to return sooner than later!

    Mitsuko2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • its exactly as advertised but worth nothing that its a significantly enhanced experience in warm vs cold weather, which is what we had. highly recommend visiting during the warmer months.

    Allie2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Piotr and Kay’s place is a magical escape. The house is full of beautiful details like carvings on the doors and columns out on the patio. From large, well equipped kitchen and a grill to make large meals to a hot tub facing a lake-the amenities are great! Before our stay, Piotr and Kay have been very helpful and sent us a comprehensive list of things to do in the area and during our stay they have been very responsive. Would recommend this special place without hesitation!

Starting April 2nd, we're looking for guests who can stay for at least a month or more. The house now has wifi. Michelle and I's house shares 5-acres with the tiny house, so it's a beautiful and secluded setting. Nearby: Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Preserve, & Rail Trails. Any weekend or short-term instant bookings for April & May will most likely be cancelled to accommodate a long term guest. We wish everyone safety and love during these times. Reach out for pricing.
With our goal of healthy living, the house is equipped with an organic king mattress (yes! king bed in a tiny house!), organic sheets, and organic pillows. The couch futon is also organic wool with natural latex. No off-gassing materials in the home. All the cabinetry and woodworking is custom--we hope you'll enjoy the love that was put into our first home. We're so excited to add that the tiny house is now solar-powered! Thank you to all our guests for staying with us and supporting our family and homestead!
Tranquil and quiet 5-acre setting with 250 ft of Wallkill River frontage. Luckily situated on a river bend.
  • My boyfriend and I absolutely enjoyed our stay! The tiny house is super cozy and has just about everything we needed for a nice weekend away. The location is great; a quick drive from New Paltz and near some great hiking spots.

  • I went up to T’s space for a short trip with my partner and our pup. It was such a great getaway. The Yurt is very cool, very warm, very cozy. We loved it. Our pup had a great time running around and exploring with the other dogs on the farm. We also spent some time with the farm animals and hanging out in the hot tub. It was as private as we needed and I appreciated how open and communicative T was. Thanks for a great trip!

  • The farm is a truly special place and our stay at the yurt was absolutely lovely, especially right after the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Tim was a most gracious host, along with all of his animal counterparts and Cal (one of the pups on the farm) was great company during our stay! There's lots to explore right on the farm, as well as a bunch of great hikes nearby and New Paltz is a quick ride away for some delicious bites and beers! Can't wait to head back!

    Stephanie2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt is magical.

  • An absolutely peaceful and beautiful place to visit. Just a wonderful accommodation, wonderful hosts, and farm animals! I have visited before and am genuinely sad each time I leave to head back to the city. Staying here really gives you such an appreciation for nature and the stars! You can't see a third as many stars in NYC. Such a blissful place. I can't wait to visit again.

    Gabrielle2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Drove up to the Catskills during a snow storm and still had an absolute blast. We stopped at the Hannaford’s to grab groceries and were able to make a roasted bacon wrapped pork and veggies for dinner! We also baked cookies and stayed cozy inside until we braved the snowy walk to the hot tub (worth it). We also brought my dog, who is still in training, and had a great time running through the snow and playing with the other dogs. For all the reviews talking about kitchen amenities, there’s plenty of salt 🙄 and everything was very clean. TLDR: we will definitely be back.

The house has been renovated to a very high standard, creating a comfortable and peaceful place. Start the day with a mug of coffee curled up on the window seat watching the sunlight sparkle in the stream. Some breakfast items are provided for your first morning. The kitchen is fully equipped for everything. Delve into the vintage vinyl collection and snuggle up by the fireplace at this character retreat near the breathtaking Shawangunk Ridge. Hike or Bike one of the many trails and then return for a soak in the claw-foot tub.
This is a 200-year-old stone and clapboard house, just one mile outside of New Paltz, an historic and vibrant college town, settled beneath the breathtaking Shawangunk Ridge, just 90 minutes from NYC. The 1807 Stone House was built by our ancestors for tenant farmers and now, after an extensive restoration, provides a very comfortable vacation house full of historic character. The house forms part of a 12-acre property of woods and streams that has been in our family for 10 generations and is also the site of our 1826 Federal style home that is listed on the National Historic Register. The Stone House is very peaceful and private - see the guest reviews for endorsement! The property is adjacent to a 23-mile rail trail, which is an easy hike or bike into town. We have a selection of bikes that you are welcome to borrow. In the late 19th century, the Wallkill Valley Railroad ferried fresh produce and vegetables from the farmlands of Ulster County to the streets of New York City. The railroad may have gone, but the area is still abundant with apple orchards, small independent farms and wineries. There is an organic farm just a 3-minute walk from the property where, in season, one can buy fresh vegetables, artisan breads and local cheese. Accommodation is on three levels, so we would advise against choosing our house if you are elderly or infirm. There are stair gates available for young children if required. The house has a modern zoned heating system that makes for cozy winter visits. In the summer there are AC units in the kitchen, living room and both bedrooms. The house is foam insulated so it is cosy warm in winter and keeps it's cool in summer. At the top are 2 bedrooms, one with a Queen bed and the other with 2 twin beds. The emphasis is on comfort, with ironed linens and plenty of pillows and throws. There is one full bathroom with claw foot tub and rain shower and limitless hot water. There are two living rooms on the second floor; one has white washed stonewalls, with a large gas fired stove set in the original open fireplace. There is a large sofa and armchair, TV for Netflix and DVD with movie selection Please note that there is NO cable TV, but there is fast Wi-Fi connection throughout the house. The other room is full of light and looks out over shrubs, trees and a stream. Stairs lead down to a full kitchen, with wide board maple floor and large open fireplace with propane stove. The kitchen is outfitted with stone countertops, European eye level oven and the basic necessities including a variety of quality cookware, coffee maker and blender. A range of spices, olive oil, coffee and selected teas are provided. The table can seat six and there is also an armchair and window seat. We provide complimentary breakfast items for your first morning. A Dutch door leads out on to a private terrace with picnic table and propane grill. This is a wonderful place to watch the abundant bird life. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer. The house sleeps 4. *Please note that on holiday weekends there is a 3 x night minimum stay *We have a strict No smoking and No Pets policy. *We will always try to be flexible on our check in and check out times if we can, so please ask! **Minimum 3 x night stay on holiday weekends**
The house is surrounded by nature, yet just a mile from the vibrant college town of New Paltz. The property is close to a 23-mile rail trail for hiking and biking. We have bikes! The surrounding area is abundant in apple orchards, small independent farms, and wineries.
  • This cottage is incredibly perfect. I had the perfect weekend. The house of comfy and full of character. It had everything you need. Not far from the town and close to beautiful trails. I will definitely be back very soon.

  • This was our fourth visit to this lovely home. We adore everything about it!

    Raquel2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • I love the wonderful grey floors, white walls and comfy couches and beds. The location overlooking the creek and woods and the visit by the red cardinal is so rural. The road has a dead end so little car traffic. And so close to the rail trail you can walk and admire the Shawangunk Ridge in the distance.

    Dina2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We came to celebrate my daughters 30th birthday the cottage was warm ,cozy and super clean. Our host made sure we had everything we needed. I would come back for sure

  • This was certainly one of the nicest airbnb's we have stayed in. Kate and Mark carefully prepared the arrangement of the furniture, amenities and decor in this beautiful home. Not only did they have fresh fruit and brownies when we arrived, but also had fresh bagels, milk, butter and cereal for us. All the rooms and amenities were extremely clean. The house is adorable and spacious for our family of 4. We all loved the record player and the many wonderful books throughout the house. The house was built in the early 1800s and Kate & Mark even have a book that shows pictures of the extreme gut renovation to the house to make it the adorable luxurious farmhouse it is today. Our family and kids loved playing in the creek in the back as well as taking a nice walk on the Walkill river trail that is directly behind the house. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    Akhila2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kate and Mark created a beautiful experience that went well above our expectations. Not only did they provide a place with deep historic roots but they combine it with contemporary luxurious and their own eye for style to form an truly unique experience.

    Markus2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute cottage! Exactly what we wanted for a weekend getaway. Warm and cozy place w 2 fireplaces. Walking trails right outside. Great restaurants nearby too. Would love to come back again!

    Deena2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Kate's cottage was so warm, cozy and inviting. It was the perfect place for my family and me to spend Christmas. The attention to detail was very impressive. From the plate of cookies, delicious coffee, and local bread, to the tasteful holiday decorations the entire house is thoughtfully appointed, and beautifully decorated. I loved the local art, books, and references everywhere. The beds were comfortable, and the gas fireplaces made for cozy winter nights. It's a great combination of historical/original details and modern comfort and amenities (even gates on the stairs which was essential with a 1 year old. )

Take a leisurely walk under the towering trees in the quiet wooded acre surrounding this cozy, alpine-inspired cabin with contemporary bohemian touches. Sleep in upstairs under deep-set skylights, or curl up by the fire in the rustic screened porch. Pets welcome with additional $25 cleaning fee.
While the outside of the cabin is reminiscent of a quaint alpine cabin, the inside is uniquely modern and incredibly functional for sleeping up to six guests in just under 500 sq feet. Nestled in the pines of the Kerhonkson woods at the base of the Catskill Mountains is this tiny little cabin that is more than meets the eye. Recently updated from it's 1970s rustic lodge interior, the cabin now features a farmhouse kitchen and comfortable furnishings. We are pet friendly but do charge an additional $25 pet cleaning fee for those bringing their furry friends. We do not have cable but we do have a smart television to use with your Netflix or other streaming apps. You may also use the HULU TV application which will allow you to watch live and streaming content from most cable and sports channels.
The cabin is nestled in the pines of the Kerhonkson woods at the base of the Catskill Mountains. Get back to nature at Minnewaska State Park around 20 minutes away, or explore the nearby local towns of New Paltz and Woodstock
  • Can't recommend this place enough. The peace you feel on the property and in the cabin is indescribable. The hiking trails are nearby and exceptional. My boyfriend and I LOVE to cook and we found the kitchen to be extremely usable and had everything and more that we needed. The entire set up is incredibly comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • Cozy, comfy, and cute. Highly recommended for an escape from the city.

  • I booked this cabin as a Christmas gift for my fiancé for a weekend getaway and it was perfect! Nestled right in the woods, with just enough privacy. Emily was extremely kind and quick to respond to any question or needs I had. We loved the tiny cabin decor and everything she lists is exactly what is presented in the cabin. We did bring food for ourselves but she had good treats and coffee/tea! It’s super super cozy and heat works awesome in the winter. We hiked locally (within 15 min of cabin) and went to a great lunch spot (the eggs nest - 15-20 min from cabin. Emily even provided a list of places to try out which is always a plus in an unfamiliar area. The best way to describe her cabin is homey and quaint. With all the right decor and comfortable feelings it was perfect. The hosts definitely care about their guests enjoying their stay and it showed. We definitely want to return in the future!

    Elizabeth2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Best Getaway we have Had! The rustic outside has a real earthy feel like it belongs in a movie and once you step inside the modern yet homey vibes make you feel warm. It really felt like it could be my home. The layout was perfect for us and loved how open the space felt. The kitchen yet “small” was absolutely perfect for our stay. Overall I can not wait to get back. Might be the new home away from home.

    Robert2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to disconnect from everything. From the screened porch with chimney, firepit and all the way to the inside of the cabin was perfect. Accommodations where super comfy and you have everything you'll need just need your food and drinks. Definitely will be returning!

    Mo2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was super cozy and located in a quaint setting. We loved the skylights and waking up to the sound of rain. We had everything we needed to cook our meals and spent the evenings huddled by the fireplace and chilling with Netflix. The host was super helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend.

If you don't know yet, you will soon find out how special this area is. Whether it is Climbing, (trad, sport, or ice), skydiving, cycling (Mt., gravel, or road), trail running, or hiking let me know if I can be helpful.
Fall foliage in this area...stunning. Antique store recommendations on request. Restaurant recommendations on request.
  • Our stay at Jule’s place was incredible. The photos on the listing don’t even do the property full justice. The house is lovely, perfectly laid out, and spacious. The rooms are sparsely furnished (which, to me, is a positive) with comfortable furniture and touches to make for plenty of comfy lounging space. The kitchen is stocked with the basic necessities, which is helpful, and the bedding and towels are high quality. The house had a historical feel but was newly renovated, and the resulting aesthetic was pleasing. Staying here, you are perfectly located within a short drive from Main Street Gardiner, New Paltz, a grocery store, a mini mart, and the mountains. We couldn’t have hoped for a better stay.

    Kristen2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay in this comfortable, sparkling clean stylish home. We appreciated the thoughtful touches such as milk, tea, butter in the fridge which got us through our first morning after a late evening arrival. Jules was incredibly responsible and flexible. One of my best Airbnb experiences.

    Frances2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a sweet old farm house with modern updates to the kitchen and bath. It was immaculate and very comfortable. Our 2 year old grandson was free to play all over the house and loved it. My only complaint was lack of WiFi and phone reception. That would have helped had we had an emergency. Otherwise, food in the fridge and cupboard was great. We used it for condiments, coffee and a snack for the 2 year old. Thank you! Nancy

    Nancy2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Jules's place. A modern well-supplied kitchen let us make great meals and the location was very central to everything we needed to do. Jules was super responsive with all of our questions and offered great suggestions.

    Ting Ting2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jules house was perfect for us! Very cool house with historical touches and all the modern amenities. The location was amazing for our first outdoor climbing trip and to explore the area. Definitely will return!

  • Loved our stay here! The house is clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated. Everything we wore looking for in a weekend getaway. Conveniently located close to vineyards, breweries, downtown New Paltz, and hiking. Highly recommend.

    Christine2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This turned out to be perfect for our family. The bathrooms and kitchens were clean and modern in this rustic house and setting. The beds were extremely comfy and the rooms spacious and plenty of closet space. Towels and linens were all of nice quality. We appreciated the simpleness of the decor. It was easy to just.“Be” and relax because upkeep was easy. Washer and dryer were available if needed. The property has plenty of space to enjoy being outside and running around or hang out on one of the two porches. We look forward to coming back in warmer weather. Close to town and the mountains and parks

  • Where do I begin? This place far exceeded our expectations. Tammy our host was nothing short of hospitable and accommodating! We were greeted with a bottle of wine and fresh warm muffins. (Mmm) Everything was so spotless and oh so welcoming. Truly a home away from home. Just minutes away from town and everything New Paltz has to offer. Tammy was also very helpful in her suggestions of places to go and always very responsive. We cannot wait to plan another trip here. Thanks again and God bless!

  • This charming little farmhouse has so much character! It was warm and cozy with the fireplace and hot tub. Tammy and Mike have everything neat and labeled with clear instructions for your stay, it made everything a breeze! The bathroom and decor in the private room made it feel like a 5 star suite. The bed is comfy and the hosts provide extra blankets, pillows, coffee, and snacks. You will love this place!

Downstairs Victorian style bedroom in old stone farmhouse filled with mid 20th century art work. Easy access to outdoors & bathroom. The room was cozy and comfortable. The room, front hall, and bathroom can get cold in the winter however, there are space heaters that work well. Our apartment is 6 miles from downtown New Paltz on a quiet and private setting only 1.5 hours from New York City, in the heart of Hudson Valley's Wine Country and apple/peach orchards. Just renovated. Sleeps 2-3. Fridge is stocked with local eggs, bread, cheese, coffee, wine. 7 miles from Mohonk Preserve and 10 miles from Gunks climbing area, and great Cross-country skiing. Quiet street on a 4 acre, only a quarter mile from Adair Winery
Just renovated 1 bedroom apartment located in the back of our 1850' Federal house. The apartment is on the first floor with its own entrance. We mow the yard in the summer and feel free to use it for picnics, but we don't have any gardens and it grows pretty wild.
Our road is part of the Hudson Valley Wine trail and one of the wineries is one quarter mile down the road (Adair Winery). A grocery store is 3 miles away, and down town New Paltz is 6 miles away. Minnewaska State Park is a 22,275 acre state park perfect for winter activities like cross country skiing, snowshoeing and ice climbing. Minnewaska is a 25 min. drive from the apartment Mohonk Preserve has 8,000 acres for cross country skiing, snow shoeing, ice climbing and iceskating. Mohonk is about a 20 minutes drive away. Hunter Mountain, Belleyre and Windham are great areas for downhill skiing and are all approximately 1 hour drive north of New Paltz.
  • Well-decorated with lots of thoughtful touches. When we were there, there was a bottle of wine in the fridge, liquors and mixes, fresh bread, and coffee. The place is really well decorated and quiet. In the late afternoons and early evening there were lots of deer in the yard. a great place to stay for a few days to get away from it all.

    James2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the space! All the homestyle touches like the eggs, milk and coffee were welcomed after our cross country flight and long drive from NYC. Thank you for a restful and adventurous start to our New York visit.

  • Space was lovely! We very much enjoyed our three night stay there, felt like a home away from home. Perfect for a romantic getaway. The restaurant recommendations our hosts made were spot on ( Schatzi’s, Main St Bistro) and we also got Thai food from Lemongrass that was very good as well. Hosts were very kind and offered for us to check in early and check out late since they had no guest coming after us. Very thoughtful and we appreciated that. Will definitely be back!

    Lucca2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed having a warm and private space to relax after both a long day in the mountains and a long night of travel. This place had everything you’d expect (fresh towels, clean dishes, WiFi, etc) plus a bunch of extras like fresh eggs and bread for breakfast, GOOD coffee, and a really environmentally friendly feel some of us appreciate. Only 10 minutes from New Paltz too which is great! Your guests, Sean and Alex

  • Anna’s place was exceptional- clean, cozy, and stylish! We had a terrific time in New Paltz and were able to just enjoy our time and relax in the mornings at the apartment. Victorian Haven is located near the Shawangunk Mountains that extends for over 20 miles and reaches 2,200 feet in height at Sam's point, the highest elevation on the ridge. In addition, the Wallkill River provides unspoiled and picturesque spots for hiking, fishing and/or picnics. Gardiner has a beautiful rail trail that follows the path of the 1860's railroad and provides a great opportunity to hike, bike or ski.
  • Adorable space, incredibly clean and well thought out. Lovely deck looking over the Wallkill river and fabulous hosts. We are already booked again for this place for later this year. Highly recommend it!!!

  • Victorian Haven - quiet, cozy, and quaint! Such an adorable hidden gem in a small community. Had everything needed from morning coffee to dinner making! The small intimate touches like the selection of coffee with multiple options for creamer and added notes and information about the place and local areas of interest made it stand out! The wildlife was amazing - seeing 50+ deer just hanging out and the many birds on/near the river. Perfect place to stay while seeing a concert and just wanting to get away for the weekend. Definitely recommend for a couple trying to unwind and relax!

  • What a sweet cabin! It is cozy yet also very spacious. There were great kitchen amenities and appliances that made cooking a breeze! Also there were games, pens and markers in the living room that made nights by the fire even more fun! The sunset was gorgeous at the outdoor deck and town was a quick 10 minutes away. We highly recommend and want to return with our dog soon!

  • Second time back, and we still found it cozy and the perfect winter weekend getaway. Love the fireplace, and lounging on the comfy chair in the living room, and loved having our dog there too! Went for a lovely walk down the road with our dog and saw a beautiful sunset and lots of deer. :-)

Built over 100 years ago as a chicken hatchery, this gorgeous little gem has been fully restored as a two-story guest cottage. Located in New Paltz just minutes off Exit 18 on I-87 in a very private, quiet, country setting. Only ten minutes from New Paltz Village & SUNY New Paltz and set back on a lightly traveled road for those long summer strolls. You don't even need a car to get here! It's just 12 minutes by taxi from the New Paltz Bus Station or bring your bike up and cycle everywhere!
The Little Yellow Cottage displays much of it's original construction including post and beam, stained glass in the cupola (even an original stained glass portrait of Abraham Lincoln!) and a screened in porch for breakfast with a view or just hanging out. Inside you’ll find a spiral staircase and all the 21st century amenities you’d expect, including radiant in-floor heat, AC, TV, wi-fi and laundry in the full kitchen (Note: there is a stovetop but no oven). One queen bed sleeps two on the ground level and one Murphy bed sleeps a single on the lower level. Private picnic table right outside. And the postal code may say Highland, but the Little Yellow Cottage is really in New Paltz!
Check out the funky art hub of New Paltz or SUNY New Paltz just 10 minutes away or climb the Shawanagunk Mountains 15 minutes away. You don’t even need a car! Bring your bike up on the bus or train and take a taxi ($12) to the Little Yellow Cottage. Cycle the 20 minutes into New Paltz or even spend a day on the Hudson Valley Rail Trail also just 20 minutes away. Talk a long walk on a quiet country road and snap a selfie at the tranquil Black Creek just a minute away.
  • Excellent. Just as advertised.

  • Justin’s cottage is lovely. Plush bedding and cozy bed, super soft towels and bright bathroom, spacious kitchen loaded with all the usuals, and a bug free screened-in porch for coffee or brunch. You’ll need a car or a Lyft to get around, but it’s not too too far from Poughkeepsie and New Paltz. Pack some groceries and some hiking boots and you’ll be set. The only part of the cottage I didn’t love was the fact that it’s right next to a road that surprisingly sees a decent amount of traffic. But if it rains, you’ll be able to hear it on the roof!

    Frank2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • I LOVED staying at this little cottage! It was sparkling clean like a nicer hotel but was cozier than a hotel could ever be. I would recommend this stay to anyone who is in the area.

    Kira2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I booked our stay for two nights to get away from the city life and celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday as I wanted to bring groceries to cook during the stay. We checking in around 7pm with no problem and Justin had a parking spot available for us. When walking in, we instantly got warm cozy vibes and spot on cleanliness as everything in the cottage looked exactly and matched the pictures posted on the profile. Everything we needed was already included as we didn’t have to ask for any assistance. I was able to cook all my meals with the pots & pans provided including extra amenities which helped during our stay. This is by far my best getaway experience and will absolutely rebook. Thank you Justin for the all hospitality!

  • A great getaway spot. Tiny and comfy and fun.

    Tron2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Justin's place is so cute! Perfect for a weekend getaway with a significant other. The floors were heated which I thought was awesome! There is a picnic table outside and even a screened in porch. The place was very clean and cozy. There is a stove and microwave (no oven) and TV with cable as well as WiFi. It looks newly renovated and especially homey, you'll love it!

    Sara2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute little cabin! Me and my partner just wanted a little get away from the hustle and bustle of NYC. This was perfect. The bed was super comfy and the cabin was so nice and cozy. There was so much beautiful sunlight every morning. I work remotely and was able to get all my work done. Justin was super quick to reply when I had issues connecting my laptop and fixed the issue immediately. Highly recommend this spot I wish it would have snowed I'm sure this place is magical when it does.

30' Travel Trailer In Wallkill. Near Stewart Airport, New Paltz, Newburgh, and Rail Trail. Even though the space can sleep 9, it is a small space, small bathroom and is ideally suited for six. Front bedroom has accordion folding doors, with a Queen bed that sleeps two. Back bedroom has a curtain door, and sleeps 4: two on top bunks and two on the folding floor sofa. The living room sofa also opens to sleep two, and the dinette table drops to create an additional sleeping area.
We want to offer you an affordable, clean, and comfortable stay. Think of the space as a small hotel suite. It has a sitting area, and two separate sleeping areas. The kids will have their own space, in the back. If your concerned about the bunk beds, the floor sofa opens up and becomes a comfortable sleeping mattress. The space has central heat and air. You have access to the thermostat to control the temperature. There is running water all through the winter months, even on days when it's below freezing. There is an outside sitting area with a fire pit. We provide seasoned fire wood for free. Our property is a little bigger then an acre, and there is a swing set that you can use. The property is surrounded by woods on three sides, and in the morning you may see deer. The woods around our property don't belong to us, so please no hiking. If your looking for hiking, Chadwick Lake is close by. Wifi is available along with Sling TV and Netflix. Basics, such as sheets, pillows, towels, frying pan, pots, plates, coffee maker, and coffee pods are provided. No pets, or Smoking allowed. Legoland is 27 Miles, approximately 30 minutes by car. West Point is 32 Miles. If there is something else we should include to improve the stay, please let us know.
Located in the swangunk wine trail. Many local farm to table restaurants, Angry orchard and the beautiful Monhok mountain are all in the Vicinity. The following are 15-20 minutes away, Orange County Choppers, Newburgh Town, Monhok Mountains, New Paltz, Rail Trails, and Chadwich Lake.
  • George was an amazing host! The camper was so nice and affordable. If you are looking for a cheap stay to explore NY state, book here. Only about 20 minutes from the Beacon train station to visit the city too!

  • George’s place was great, easy to find and a nice spot to get our daughter off campus for a little break. It was clean and comfortable. Plenty of wineries and a cidery near by. George and his wife were awesome hosts.

  • We had a great stay! The space is very comfortable, cozy and nicely fits our family of 4. Arrival was super smooth, and the space included everything that we needed to make basic meals (bring your own Tupperware, foil, etc if you need to get deeper in to cooking/storage). In addition to great accommodations, we felt very safe here. We are lucky to be well acquainted with navigating RV accommodations, however George and Kelly were available immediately any time we had a question. We come to town regularly for military reserve duty, and plan on booking stays here any time we can. Thank you again!

Just listed! One of two beautifully appointed loft apartments in a 19th century Barn Hayloft! Located in New Paltz just minutes off Exit 18 on I-87 in a very private, quiet, country setting. Only 10 minutes from New Paltz and set back on a lightly traveled road for long summer strolls. You don't even need a car to get here! It's just 12 minutes by taxi from the New Paltz Bus Station! And book the South Hayloft here https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/41910407 to sleep a total of 10 guests!
This 19th century barn has been lovingly restored to it's former glory and is ready for you to arrive for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Walk up to the second level and you'll find all the 21st century amenities you’d expect, including AC, TV, wi-fi and washer dryer. One queen bed sleeps two in the master bedroom, one single bed is in the second bedroom and one sofa queen bed sleeps two in the living room. And the postal code may say Highland, but the 19th Century Restored Hayloft North is really in New Paltz!
  • Had a fantastic time at the North Hayloft. Incredibly clean, thoughtful touches and wonderful location in the Hudson Valley. Hope to return!

    Reed2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend the location. All needed for a full kitchen was available and easily accessible. Actually cooked 3 full meals. I was a bit scared we'd be cold since it was 23 degrees but with each room having it's own unit, we were all very comfortable. Everything was labeled and easy to follow. What you see is what you get. Absolutely, no misrepresentation.

    Joanna2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • I came from NJ to immerse myself in some work and get outside of my home office as I work remotely. Justin's place was right outside New Paltz - 10-12 mins to town for coffee and shops, a few trails for walks, and all the shopping you can imagine. The space was immaculately clean, super quiet and I loved the windows, and all the natural light. Bed super comfy. Shower hot. WiFi golden. Great little kitchen area as I cooked all my meals in. AND laundry, which was a huge bonus! There are stairs to get up to the space so that should be noted if you have a handicap situation. It has two bedrooms, one small bed, one large, so great for a friend or if your spouse is snoring ;) Price wise was a little steep for what I usually pay but it was in the range of places I was looking and he was already a super host so I trusted airbnb judgement, they did not disappoint! Highly recommended!

This fully-furnished, country studio sits on a farm with drop-dead views of the Gunks. It is minutes from Mohonk, Minnewaska, and Peterskill Trailheads and all the fun things to do outdoors like hiking, rock climbing, swimming, biking, bird watching, rock scrambling, skiing, snow-shoeing, etc. Hike early and often. Then enjoy the Mountain Brauhaus or one of many restaurants/bars/wineries in New Paltz and Gardiner (5-6 miles away). For those inclined, enjoy great art and history nearby, too.
Seven windows on three sides offer great natural light to this second floor studio. Inside, there is a queen bed, a cozy couch, a kitchen equipped with a gas stove & oven, and an expandable dining table if want to make more of a work space. There is a smart, flat-screen television, cable, and wifi. The bathroom has a full bath and shower Guests will appreciate easy parking just outside the studio and for longer stays, the shared laundry/dryer facility. Guests will also enjoy hiking the carriage trails on the farm, meeting the horses, ponies, and two donkeys. During the winter, the house is heated geothermally and in the summer, it is cooled the same way. The farm has solar panelling to reduce the energy footprint and we appreciate guests' efforts to recycle.
New Paltz is the best...especially for those of us who love the outdoors, good food, and the culture inspired by all of the nearby colleges, Hudson Valley artists, history, and agriculture. The studio is a ten-minute drive to New Paltz and to Gardiner.
  • This place is so beautiful and I highly recommend it. Host is extremely kind and the horses/donkeys are so cute. Beautiful views of mountains right out your window, also peaceful and quiet. Feels like home

  • We had a perfect weekend out of the city in this beautiful apartment. It was clean, cozy and it was such a treat to be starting so close to so many beautiful animals! Super close to Main Street and Tom and Julie gave us amazing tips on where to go and what to do! Highly recommended.

    Samantha2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Stunningly beautiful vistas and a comfortable, homey studio provided a deliciously peaceful and relaxing getaway. Tom and Julie were warm and friendly hosts, who went above and beyond with tips, and who were very quick to respond to questions. I suffered a minor medical emergency during my stay, and they were compassionate and generous in their help - lovely people! I'm already looking forward to returning!

  • We loved our stay at La Luna farm. The studio was wonderfully decorated, had excellent natural lighting, and overall felt very comfortable and homey. We look forward to potentially renting from Tom & Julie again in the future!

  • The little red schoolhouse studio space was just right for us. It was spotless, peaceful, cozy and comfy. We were really happy to meet the horses and have a warm spot during a big snowstorm close to lovely New Paltz. Thank you Tom and Julie!

  • My stay at Tom and Julies place was great. The place is exactly as pictured, very comfortable and clean. They were great with communication and provided great local tips. If I ever came back to the area I would stay here again!

  • My boyfriend and I spent the weekend here for a mini getaway and it was just spectacular from start to finish. We accidentally locked ourselves out in the middle of the night and Tom was so sweet and gracious and woke up to help us back in. The farm itself has gorgeous views and all the animals are beautiful. The apartment itself was the sweetest, cleanest place as well. We will definitely be back!!

Wake up to views of the Hudson River, and then have coffee on the balcony while enjoying the view. Take a stroll by the river, or head to Jones Farm - where you can see the free roaming chickens while eating brunch and picking up a pie or fresh apple cider donuts. A perfect home base for exploring the Hudson Valley. Take in the arts at Dia Beacon and Storm King art center. Go kayaking to Bannerman Island. Or if you want some retail therapy, check out the world famous Woodbury Common outlets.
This is a private apartment with its own entrance, in a two family house.
We are very close to the Hudson River. There are many fine restaurants in the area some have beautiful views of the Hudson and the rolling hills . We are fortunate because many of our restaurants are staffed by chefs that are culinary institute graduates ,the CIA is located not far from here. You will be able to walk the Newburgh Beacon bridge from the house or take a lovely jog down the road.

A beautifully done costume made tiny cabin! It is located on a private road with a stream at the end of it, and just a few houses on it, each seating on an acre of land. The back of the house is all woods and in front is the gunks. This private property is a heavenly getaway from your busy life.
The cottage has everything you may need! The kitchen is fully equipped, there are plenty of towels and bedsheets. The property is 10min away from new paltz and 2min to Gardiner town. Please not:THIS IS A SOFT OPENING! the front yard is still under improvements, it’s open and a bit bare. You can see a few houses of the neighbors on the sides of the house at the moment. The rate is discounted accordingly.
    Just 10min from new paltz
  • Amitai was responsive and polite. He was flexible and very nice in general. The place is very cute and comfortable. It has everything you may need for cooking and dining in. Perfect for a solo get away or with your +1. Nice hikes and lakes nearby. As advertised, the entrance is in construction but it did not bother me at all. Good deal for the price. The fireplace and the Sonos system made my day.

    Camilla2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

    Nayali2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amitai's cabin is a great weekend stay from the city. It's under two hours from Manhattan and feels isolated in spite of that. Though it's a small cabin it feels large and all the appliances are full sized so you can cook a full meal easily. The fireplace, candles and incense were a thoughtful addition and makes the place feel very calm and cozy. Also the snacks were great and the bathroom had premium products! We stayed over a three day weekend.

    Jessica2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amitai’s cottage is a piece of heaven. The design of the cottage is wonderful, it was sparkling clean, and created the perfect ambiance for a romantic getaway. The fireplace warms up the whole cottage and with the candles turned on you truly feel relaxed. The house also has a speaker system that plays music from his personal playlist which helps set the mood perfectly. Not even 10 minutes from the cottage is also the park which has amazing hiking trails and scenic views! Make sure to check it out. Amitai also provided water, soda, snacks, towels, robes, slippers, and coffee. One of the most giving and helpful hosts. We will definitely be back!!!

    Hazim2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is an elegant, relaxing little place close to beautiful hiking locations, but also near a lovely little town. I comfortably weathered a rain/ice storm, and also felt like I was able to treat myself to a classy stay for New Years.

    Kristen2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is pure bliss for anyone looking for a little getaway to a quiet and peaceful place. Amitai's place is equipped with everything you'd need for a sweet escape. Also, Minnewaska state park preserve is only 10 minutes away. The trails for Minnewaska lake and Awosting falls is great! All in all, it was a very satisfying and amazing stay.

This is an old, renovated milk barn on a working farm. Both of the sleeping spaces are lofts that require climbing stabilized, vertical wooden ladders. There is a wood stove, running water, kitchen, living room & bathroom.
The space was originally lined with stainless steel & was a walk-in cooler for milk storage when there was a dairy farm on the land in the 40s. It was renovated by master carpenter, David Raponi, who lived here for 7 years and suffused the space with various quirks of comfort and creativity. It has a wood stove and we prepare the fires for our guests if requested. It is fully insulated & the original vaulted ceiling is intact. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, sink, and composting toilet similar to an outhouse.
This is a rural neighborhood. The property is adjacent to the Mohonk Preserve & the trails are within walking distance to our land. Minnewaska State Park is 7 miles away. We are 8 miles from the college town of New Paltz and 3 miles to the village of High Falls. There are many restaurants, antique shops & other interesting shops in the area.
  • The milk barn is a very cool building on a unique and secluded eco-friendly property 5 minutes outside of New Paltz. We enjoyed exploring the property, relaxing by the wood-burning stove, and talking with Toby, as well as other guests staying elsewhere on the property. It was a great community to be a part of, if only for a brief time. Cell phone reception was spotty, which was appreciated given the goal of our getaway. We would certainly stay again.

    Jarrett2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • As a New York City native, I found that this beautiful gem gave us so much more than we expected to get out of the trip. The barn fits perfectly for two people looking to get away from the city or share moments of intimacy. We brought some little personal touches such as string lights - which I recommend to future guests for romance - but all of Rio's other touches really gave off good vibrations. Quaint, cozy, romantic, tender. Something else to appreciate is how environmentally friendly this barn was. It will be different from what many people are used to, but it truly adds to the charm. The composting toilet was an interesting experience, especially. There is a good amount of space outside for people to wander off, and I imagine it is more beautiful during the summer, where people can have bbq's. Great location close to a couple of hiking destinations, which one of the reasons we took this little trip. New Paltz isn't far either, and it is a cute little town worth visiting. I highly recommend this place. It's affordable, beautiful, and unique. <3

    Amany2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic three night stay at the Milk Barn. So nice to escape from the city for a unique relaxing experience and with our large dog in tow. The mattress was comfortable, the composting toilet is a breeze, and lighting a fire each night added to the ambiance and fun. The ladder up to the larger bed is a little awkward, but is doable. Recommended items to bring: house slippers, wipes for dogs feet. Thank you to Rio and Toby - we'll be back!

    Stephanie2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in the milk barn, so cozy and charming. A unique stay for anyone looking to unplug and relax. Would love to come back in the summer.

    Cheryl2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • I brought my large dog here for a mini mid-winter getaway, and we couldn’t have had a better stay! Rio and Toby were beyond accommodating, friendly, and communicative. The little milk barn was even cozier than I’d imagined, and we spent most of our time between there and roaming their beautiful grounds, just as striking in the rainier weather as in the sunshine. There are some permanent neighbors on the same property in other converted barn spaces, but you still have all the privacy you need. There were plenty of lovely little towns within very short driving distance in which to grab a bite to eat, as well as gorgeous scenery and tons of nearby trails for hiking and other outdoorsy activities. However, for our purposes of laying low and unwinding, it was perfect :)

    Sam2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely wonderful!! We came here to get away from NYC for an evening and escape to the countryside and nature - This place was perfect for that! We found the barn incredibly romantic and had a lovely evening there - quiet and super cozy with the wood stove. The place is really close to tons of trails, so we were able to hike in the evening and again in the morning. Rio and Toby were also super hospitable! Brought us wood and helped us light the fire, shared lots of details about the MilkBarn itself as well as cool things to do in High Falls. My partner and I adored this place and will definitely be back!! ☺️

    Allyson2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This location is lovelier than I could have imagined. Clean, quiet, the perfect size, and unique with thoughtful details in its design. The hosts were great. They greeted us when we got there, checked in to see if we needed anything and answered all our questions. They also showed us how we could easily create a fire in the wood stove which kept us warm and toasty. I hope to be back soon! It is perfect for a romantic getaway! 10/10

    Suzana2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful even in freezing temperatures. The wood stove kept us and our two doggies warm the whole night and day. Rio accommodated our late check-in, he had the place warm when we arrived. He was readily available and continously made sure we didn't need anything. The surroundings are beautiful and you are about a 15 minute drive to New Paltz. We were curious about the experience with a composting toilet. It did not have any odor or make us feel uncomfortable to be in the space. We experienced deep rest, exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely come back!

Old Mill Cottage offers a perfect setting for an upstate getaway for 2-4 people. Enjoy an evening in, watching the sunset over the Gunx from the back deck or walk over to the Gunk Haus for the "best burger in the Hudson Valley". If you're more in to a night out, New Paltz is only 10 minutes away.
Boutique style duplex cottage with all new construction and unbeatable mountain views.
Clintondale is a hamlet set in the middle of beautiful apple orchards. We are close to mountains, rivers and lakes and every season has something to offer. The spring is perfect for hiking, mountain climbing, cycling on the rail trail, antiquing (the closest antique store is Grandpa's vintage attic, just steps from the cottage) and driving around finding yard sales. In the summer we swim in lakes, rivers and pools and go to fairs. In the fall we go apple picking, hay riding, stuff ourselves with cider donuts from the farms, shop for fresh local produce at the open air markets and enjoy the spectacular colors of the leaves. In the winter we sled in the backyard or drive to mountains close by that offer skiing. New Paltz is less than 10 minutes away and has a lot of coffee shops, bars and restaurants, ranging from American to Thai to vegan. There is a wonderful selection of unique stores with local craftsmen. Destinations within half hour include Kingston, Rosendale, the Mohonk preserve, Lake Minnewaska, High Falls, Saugerties. Tell us your interests and we'll help you plan the perfect stay!

This spacious suite is peaceful, & wooded with separate entrance, patio, wifi, full kitchen, bathroom (brand new shower), one bedroom with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa, TV (uses fire stick, wifi, no cable). Seasonal sites: Walkway over the Hudson, FDR Home (Hyde Park, 14 mi.away), Culinary Institute (11 Mi), Vassar & SUNY Colleges, Highland Landing Park, Old Kingston (original site of NYS Capital), Antique stores of NP, Huguenot Village, Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Mtn House.
This Suite is not a separate building, it is the downstairs of our house but is totally independent, with it's own entrance, kitchen, bedroom and shower. We are unique also because we live in a rural setting, yet are within a few miles of - Mohonk, apple orchards, vineyards, 5 colleges, The Walkway Over the Hudson, and we are 10 minutes from the train to NYC.
We fondly call our neighborhood, "the Outback," because we're in the woods. 1. The biggest plus is the peacefulness and we are centrally located near SUNY New Paltz and Vassar Colleges. There are also 2 community colleges nearby as well. 2. We regularly have a family of wild turkeys, deer, and red tailed hawks coming through the yard. Of course the usual chipmunks, ground hogs and squirrels. We even had a huge, beautiful large Owl land right outside the Suite window this past spring.
  • This is my second time staying at Kits home and it did not disappoint. Our weekend getaway was perfect and Kits place had everything we needed! HIGHLY RECOMMEND if traveling to New Paltz!

  • Kathen's place is a comfortable, quiet getaway that was perfect for us. Communication is easy and friendly. There are plenty of amenities (stocked cupboards and fridge, shampoo, games, local information, etc). We hope to be back again sometime.

    Deb2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Kit and Mark were excellent hosts and very personable. Their communication was great from start to finish, from providing details/descriptions throughout the space to giving recommendations on local spots and things to do in the area. The space was neat and comfortable, and they provided more than enough amenities to make the stay enjoyable. We visited in the month of March, so the following might not apply at other times of the year: Since it is a basement suite, the temperature is a bit cooler. While there is a separate heating control, when it kicks in, the basement registers/vents do make noise, which could pose a problem for light sleepers. However, what is appreciated about Kit and Mark is that they explain this and many other things beforehand, so you'll know what to expect (it's called "country living" for you city folks). Please check them out if you're ever in the Highland NY area. You'll be glad you did!

    Byron2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Such a peaceful area to get away from the city yet still close enough to some charming town (new paltz/highland) Kathen was helpful answering any questions we had. The house is so cozy, so easy to cook and just have a relaxing evening in the woods

    Aaron2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Kathen is great host. Her place was sparkling clean with lots of great amenities including frozen food. The check in was very easy. The host came to greet me upon arrival. I would highly recommend Kathen's place.

  • A lovely space, very warm and comfortable. Kit and Mark are very welcoming, hospitable, and responsive.

  • Kit and her husband were great hosts, very responsive and welcoming. Check in was easy, the place was great in the woods and quiet. Plenty of information too on stuffs to do in the area. Overall great stay , we recommend it!

    Sarah2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and cozy space, with large kitchen and comfortable bedroom. Kit and her husband were very welcoming and quick to respond. Privacy is ample as you have the entire lower floor to yourself. Would definitely stay here again when I'm Iin the he area. ,

Cliff Top retreat with a one hundred mile view of the Shawangunk's and the Catskill Mountains, surrounded by thousands of acres of ancient forest. Conveniently located in the Hudson Valley Wine and Orchard country. Twenty minutes from Beacon and New Paltz. Furnished with mid-century and 18th century period furniture and art work, yet with all the modern conveniences. Uber and Lift an easy five minutes away. The ancient forest contains many Stone Age rock shelters and calendar sites.
Handicapped accessible. Smoking is permitted on the screened porch only.
Cliff top retreat surrounded by old growth forest only seventy miles from Manhattan. This is truly a special place, with ancient Calendar sites, petroglyphs, burial mounds, rock shelters and caves, some of which date back over five thousand years. Undisturbed for centuries in the ancient forest, they can all be seen on guided hikes. Cliff Top itself, with its all encompassing views, was used as a gathering site for ancient peoples, as attested to the many fire pits found while digging the beds for the rose bushes along the cliff twenty years ago.
  • Mary and Dr. Ned are wonderful hosts and the view is even better than in the pictures. This place is perfect for people who love hiking, exploring small towns or wineries, or people who just want to sit on the porch and read in front of a breathtaking view. We 100% recommend going here. Dr. Ned is extremely knowledgeable on well, everything, and was really friendly to us as Mary made sure we had everything we needed before we got there and was great at communicating! Thank you both for the hospitality. We hope everyone enjoys their stay as much as we did :)

    Valerie2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location! Beautiful views and the space is lovely, comfortable and full of incredible paintings and furnishings. We had a delightful time!

  • My experience with Mary and Dr. Ned at Turtle Rock was by far the most pleasurable of any Airbnb I have stayed at. They are beyond hospitable and the apartment and surrounding area are gorgeous. If you are a lover of history, art, and culture you will find so much here.

    Matthew2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Mary provided exceptional hospitality and thoughtful amenities. Dr. Ned was superb- showed us around the landmarks of the area while sharing fascinating archeological and historical info. The Airbnb itself is perfectly cozy and beautiful inside, with beautiful artwork all over the walls and warm blankets for the nighttime. Thank you to the both of them for being so welcoming ans generous. We're already planning our next trip back to Turtle Rock.

  • Beautiful view on the clifftop. We came during the winter after it snowrd. It was wonderful to watch the sunset, covered in blankets and enjoy some snacks while sitting next to the electric heater. There is a breakfast nook with cereal, milk, fruits available. Mary was very considerate in her hospitality and it was a peaceful and relaxing trip.

Big studio loft with tons of natural light, vaulted ceilings and a private deck! Vintage mid-century style! The studio is a 700 sq/ft stand-alone unit with a full kitchen and bath. It is nestled on 3.5 beautiful acres in the heart of Hudson Valley farm country and stands adjacent to an 1890 farmhouse where your hosts, Nila and Frank, live. We recently remodeled: new floors, queen bed, 48" tv, fridge and couch. All these new things live alongside some of our favorite old vintage finds.
The studio is totally separate from the main house, above our garage. Your hosts Nila and Frank understand how valuable privacy is when you're trying to relax away from home. However, if you need anything, be it a cup of sugar or a restaurant recommendation - please don't hesitate to ask! ****************************** A note about Coronavirus… Health and safety (both yours, ours, and that of our community) are very important to us. In light of the Coronavirus, we want to inform you of our cleaning protocol… We wear gloves while cleaning. We use disinfecting wipes and/or Lysol spray on all hard surfaces. We wash all towels and linens (including sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases and pillow protectors) with soap and hot water. We have switched to antibacterial soaps. The studio is now equipped with antibacterial wipes, Lysol spray, and a bleach-based cleaner. In order to be extra safe, we are no longer accepting bookings that would mean a same-day turnaround between guests. This means that when you arrive, the studio will have been unoccupied for at least a full day. We generally don’t meet our Airbnb guests in person, but we still feel it is important to say that we are both healthy and neither of us have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19. In return, we ask that you inform us if you are displaying any symptoms. We have made our cancellation policy very flexible during this time. If you are not feeling well or need to cancel for any other virus-related reason, you are free to do so up to one day before your booking and receive a full refund (minus Airbnb’s service fee). Stay safe and wash your hands! Thanks, Frank and Nila
We are nestled in beautiful Hudson Valley farm country. Rolling hills, an apple orchard and hemp fields surround the property. The setting is idyllic, peaceful and gorgeous. In the fall, enjoy the many pick-your-own apple farms in the area, the closest of which is just down the road. We are only 10 minutes from New Paltz, a funky college town with a multitude of restaurants, bars, shops, yoga studios, a movie theater, the Trailways bus station, and the SUNY New Paltz campus. We’re only ten minutes off the I-87 thruway. 90 minutes from New York City 80 minutes from Albany 20 minutes from The Gunks/Mohonk 20 minutes from Poughkeepsie 20 minutes from Kingston 30 minutes from Newburgh
  • Frank and Nila were so wonderful to stay with. We didn’t personally meet them because we only stayed one night and our paths didn’t cross, yet through their online (very timely) exchanges, we felt like we did meet them in person. You can just tell they’re such great people. The space was immaculate and so spacious. The bed is top notch nap and sleep-in material. We definitely would love to stay here again. Thanks for everything, F & N!

  • it was the perfect open studio for a great stay in upstate new york. loved being so close to the farms, amazing views from all sides. very easy to get in touch with and super helpful if we needed. would definitely come again for future stays!!

    Rebecca2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect spot, whether for a week or a month! As a long-term stay, I truly enjoyed my time at Frank and Nila's place. The large, open space is fantastic for reading, working, or cozying up to watch a good film, while outside, the porch and yard beyond were incredible even on the chilliest of days for taking a walk, having a cup of coffee, or gazing at the stars. One of my favorite parts of this space are the expansive windows providing views of sunrises, sunsets, nature in motion, and the moon and stars at night. It was incredible experience to be so immersed in nature at any moment in time: from the comfort of the bed (so comfortable and cozy!), making a meal in the kitchen, and from the couch in the sitting area... It's an incredibly special place with thoughtful and responsive hosts in an ideal setting and location - highly recommended!!!

    Beth2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Neat and comfortable space to stay, private but easy to communicate with the hosts who were very responsive. We stayed in the winter - the patio is a wonderful place to spend time in the right weather. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

    Arnabh2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • I was looking for a relaxing getaway from the city, and Frank and Nila’s place offered just that! The location of the standalone studio feels like you’re in the middle of the country, yet you are just a few miles from anything you’d need - restaurants, groceries, etc. Watching the surrounding nature from the incredibly comfortable bed was a treat. Can’t wait to return!

The Barn’s private *yet connects to the main house*. The Barn has its own PRIVATE ENTRANCE not shared with the main house. Tempurpedic Queen mattress in the loft; full kitchen & circa 1861 copper tub & shower attachment. The water heater’s small. Extra hot water can be made with the 2 litre electric kettle by the copper tub... The Barn has a NO SHOES policy Wash all dishes, or incur $30 fee. Backed up to 45 acres on the mountain, just minutes from the village. Couch sleeps 1 small kid.
The Barn has hand-hewn pine beams, plenty of skylights and a copper fan hangs from the high ceiling. Sliding glass doors with screens look out onto the quiet road and forest. **The Barn doors can be shut at night for complete privacy or be left open so you can watch the stars.** **The Barn is in the woods. Please bring your allergy medicine with you.** The Barn is shaded by trees and stays cool in the summer. There is a window air conditioner, available June through September. The copper ceiling fan and fan in the loft will keep your days & nights cool. In winter, the Barn stays toasty with electric heat. It warms up in 5 minutes! And now the Barn has a lovely ambient fireplace with the lovely illusion of logs burning in the fireplace. It is a romantic addition to this peaceful space....
This property is right on the mountain going up toward Mohonk on a quiet dead-end road. We are surrounded by some of the most oft-pictured scenes of The Gunks, yet New Paltz, with its specialty grocers, clothing stores and movie house, is minutes away. In the Fall, you are minutes on foot, by car or via bike to the stunning foliage of Butterville Road. In Winter you are in the midst of ski country, with ski resorts just miles up the Thruway. Alternatively you can cuddle up with a good book on the couch.
  • The Barn was amazing. Marthe is an amazing host we will definitely be staying here again. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a cool getaway in the Gunks.

    Brian2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect cozy winter getaway. I loved sleeping under the skylight and getting to see all the stars. It was so nice to have fresh butter, milk, coffee and eggs in the morning.. plus the copper tub was like the cherry on top. So relaxing!

    Teresa2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to help disconnect from busy everyday stress.

    Rachel2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying at this location. The location is very convenient for activities in the New Paltz area. Host responds quickly.

    Philip2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cozy stay! Marthe had very thoughtful touches throughout the space. This is a really quiet place to just go and get away for a few days. I grew up with well water, so I didnt mind it all! The bed and pillows were really soft and comfortable. Definitely recommend staying here for a few nights :)

    Veronica2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the barn! The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful for a hike or even just a scenic drive. The barn is nestled away from any hubbub in a heavily wooded area but not far from downtown which has restaurants, all types of shops, gas stations and a 24 hour super market. Marthe was more than accommodating, yes the barn is attached to the house but it is very private and cozy. It was a perfect couples getaway and we are missing it already!

    Danielle2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • The barn was a cute little getaway. Very close to the town market and at night, you can hear the wolves howling and see the night sky full of stars. Keep in mind there aren’t any curtains so maybe don’t parade around naked BUT the road isn’t busy and it was quiet. It’s attached to the house in a separate space but Marthe didn’t bother us a single bit. In fact, we were woken up by her two cute pups coming to the door which was rather delightful and she wasn’t there until super late at night. Quick to respond. The bath required a few kettle runs to maintain a constant heat but it was a fun experience otherwise, especially since there is an electric kettle set up beside it. Spacious cooper tub for two. The water does have a sulfur smell, thanks fracking! But that’s not an issue at all. If anything, made for an interesting experiment regarding the water and a tiny amount of red wine. Try it out for a fun chemistry surprise. I would certainly rebook a stay here. Perfect for a day or two trip getaway with someone you wouldn’t mind being around for that long.

Just 75 minutes from NYC, this home is a short drive to the Newburgh Waterfront and Liberty Street's hip new shops and restaurants such as Ms. Fairfax, The Flour Shop, Liberty Street Bistro, Mama Roux, The Newburgh Brewery, and more. Close proximity to the Beacon Ferry and a short drive to the Beacon train station.
The space is a cozy 2nd floor apartment with views of the Hudson River and surrounding mountains. The street is quiet with Hudson River and Mountain Views and is just a short drive away from many tourists attractions such as Beacon, DIA Beacon, area hiking trails, kayaking, West Point (22 minutes), Storm King Art Center, Woodbury Common Outlets, and more. Newburgh is a beautiful, historic city that is in the midst of a Renaissance. Please read more about the area in the neighborhood section below.
Newburgh is experiencing a Renaissance after many years of economic decline. The architectural details are gorgeous and the area is filled with history, as seen by George Washington’s Headquarters just down the street! There are new hip shops and restaurants in the immediate area with more coming in the next couple of years. While driving around town, it is noticeable that there are store fronts, buildings and homes undergoing renovation on nearly every block. Our renovated home is situated on a quiet street with families living in the surrounding homes. They are very nice and keep to themselves. There is a large mix of homes in the area that are renovated, homes undergoing renovations and houses that are still in quite rough condition that you will notice driving into town. Homes that are in rough condition could be alarming to some. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! We will not accept cancellations upon arrival.

  • My family bad I loved the space so much! Clean, beautiful, and amazing space! Definitely will want a car if staying here in the winter as it would be quite a walk to the ferry to beacon or downtown but can imagine the summer being amazing! So many thoughtful touches and the beds were so comfortable!

    Meaghan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, clean, safe & conveniently located apartment at an incredibly good value! I stayed here alone as a single female, completely unfamiliar with the area & without an itinerary, & felt safe, at home & thoroughly entertained. The only drawback, as mentioned clearly in the listing, is the noise. The train & city sounds were no problem for me, but this is an old (stylishly renovated) home & thus, you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing. Be mindful!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Kathleen's Airbnb. The room is cosy, but everything is perfectly laid out. Good sized bathroom too. So many lovely (and unexpected) touches in the room to make us feel at home. The location was tranquil, and perfect to go cycling straight from the property (we brought our own bikes) with many hikes nearby, as well as restaurants and cafes for breakfast. Kathleen is so responsive and was very accommodating - nothing was an issue. Thank you Kathleen, we would love to stay with you again next time we're in the area!

We love our neighborhood and we hope you do too. It's a fabulous road to walk, run, bike, etc with amazing views of the ridge all along. -Mohonk Preserve, Mohonk Visitor Center and Minnewaska State Park are close by and easy to access for hiking, biking, climbing, swimming, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, etc. -We love visiting Robibero Winery with a picnic lunch in hand - it's a short 3 min drive! They often have live music and are family friendly. -Another short 4 min ride will get you a great meal at the Mountain Brauhaus, Lombardi's, and now dessert at the Stone House Creamery. -If you're heading to the ridge or coming off it, stop at the Mountain Harbor Deli for a quick sandwich or any misc grocery items. -The Village of New Paltz is a 10 min drive, as is the Village of Gardiner. The Wallkill Rail Trail connects both Villages and is a fun, scenic bike ride. The new River to Ridge Trail has opened connecting the village to the ridge trails with minimal time spent on the roads. -Jenkins-Lueken Orchards is a 3 min drive. They have a farm stand and U-pick apple, pumpkin & berry picking. This is our "go-to" for maple syrup, honey, apple cider donuts, pumpkins, beautiful plants and trees and all sorts of other things I'm forgetting :-) -The Wallkill View Farm Market is close by as well (8-10 min drive). They have a large nursery along with fruits and veggies and in the fall they have hay rides, a corn maze and pumpkin picking. -The Ulster County Fairgrounds is a quick 6 min drive. They have events schedule almost every weekend during the summer and fall months.

Old style Pioneers tent, yet still providing you with today`s luxury. Such as a mattress heater, camping stove and electricity to charge your modern devices. We just swapped out the potbelly stove for a pellet stove making the tent much warmer than before. Located in a private area, on the edge of our high hill with nothing but trees surrounding you. You have access to downstairs bathroom, Hot Tub, fire pit, BBQ to make that perfect s’more. Horses, chickens, goat, puppies, roaming and fenced in.
Mary queen of England granted approximate 400 acres to the Davenport family in 1689. The original homestay location was lost. A Dutch home and barn were build during the pre-industrial revolution. Unfortunately the home was lost to a fire in 1979, you can still see the stone foundation. The diary barn was converted to a home in 1984. 20 acres remained landlocked with pittoresk class A trout stream running trough pastoral setting. Located in the Hudson Valley, 2 hours North of NYC, our 20-acre Farm is home to horses, chickens, bunnies, dogs, cats and other farm animals. Enjoy our walking trails, creek, bonfires, wood fired pizza oven and luxurious hot tub. Our property is far from any large roads and is perfect for couples wishing to have a romantic weekend surrounded by nature.  About our Pioneer tent: Old fashioned pioneers tent, 150 sq. ft. front porch/deck that will take your breath away. Located on the edge of our high field, facing nothing but trees, this tent is the perfect luxury camping experience. Old style metal Queen bed, antique Pot Belly Stove, a rocking chair, and storm lanterns. But still providing you with today`s luxury such as a mattress heating pad, and electricity so you are able to charge your modern technology. You have access to our downstairs bathroom and are able to walk in and out any time a day. Nearby is a shared fire pit and BBQ, so you can sit by the camp fire and roast marshmallows.  To preserve the natural experience of the pioneer’s tent rural setting, cars are parked on the main driveway about a 1-minute walk away. If needed, we will assist you with a pull cart in getting your luggage out to the Tent. Please contact us to inquire about single night bookings. When available we may be able to accommodate you. In winter our property becomes a "Winter Wonderland"; SNOW SHOEING or CROSS COUNTRY SKIING, ski right on our property or drive 10 minutes to Minnewaska or Mohonk and ski their well groomed trails and ICE SKATE at Mohonk's beautiful Ice Pavilion. We have 6 other accommodations on the same 20-acre farm each one tucked away. We keep our calendar up to date, if it says we have availability go ahead and instant book it. We get excellent cell service.
  • The tent is a great space! The farm property is fun, unique and beautiful. After a day spent hiking in Mohonk, this was the perfect place for a night’s rest. One of the farm workers, Jan, was helpful and friendly in getting us checked in. Would absolutely stay here again!

    John2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Tim's place was a breath of fresh air. Beautiful land and animals.

    Danielle2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay, the tent is magic and the whole experience was a needed fresh change from our urban life in NY. Everyone was super easy going and friendly, the dogs are an extra joy. They have different type of accommodations, we’d love to explore a few of them! Highly recommended

    Matteo2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Really fun place to stay! There’s tons of animals and Tim is a great host.

    Madison2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to go to get out of the city for a while! The property was very homey and rustic and the bed warmer and the pellet stove in the tent kept us nice and toasty. Tim was incredibly welcoming and had great tips for what to do in the area. The animals were a plus too! I would definitely come back in the future!

    Julia2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay in the pioneer tent. Even though it was January, the pellet stove and heated blankets made it very cozy. The farm has lots of wonderful and friendly animals, which made walks around the premises very enjoyable. To round it out, couldn't have asked for a friendlier host. Would definitely stay again!

    Theo2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Tim is such a great experience! He’s very welcoming, easy going, and so open with sharing his spaces. We stayed in the cabin and then the pioneer tent and can not recommend both enough. He’s built everything on the property himself and you can very easily see the love, care, and detail that went into crafting it all. We stayed at the end of December during a cold rainstorm and still found it to be a very comfortable stay. The pioneer tent is adorable and atmospheric, with a pellet stove keeping it very pleasantly warmed. We enjoyed two very nice nights in the hot tub as well. Can’t wait to return!

    Jeremy2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place looked very nice for the price! The living room was very comfy and relaxing, which is exactly what I needed. Definitely will come back to use the wood stove

    Justin2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. What an amazing experience. Needed to escape NYC for a few days and decompress so I popped on Airbnb. Was between here and a place in Woodstock but intuition told me this was it. And I’m glad. Sergey is an amazing host and person who helped me with suggestions for places to go and things to experience. Also awesome that he’s a skydiving instructor so I will be back for that. The area itself is amazing, serene and powerful. Didn’t go hiking this time around but got to see the beauty of it all. I highly suggest you check out Sergey’s DReAM house in the gunks.

    Greg2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great space about 2 hours from NYC. Sergey was great and set us up with everything we needed. Would come back for sure.

This spot is truly one of a kind. Enjoy stunning sunsets on the lake from the enclosed porch, just 10 feet from the lake. Just renovated, small from the outside, spacious, brand-new and bright inside, with a "Cook's Kitchen". The natural beauty of the lake, creek, and woods, with the cozy modern feel, make this the perfect place to relax, play, regenerate and enjoy. An ideal getaway. See below "Other things to note" for cleaning, health & safety measures.
This is a classic 1930's lake cottage, given a new life for 2020. It's been redesigned and renovated (in 2019) to create a bright, contemporary feel. It has brand new heating, plumbing, and A/C systems for comfort and security and yet keeps its character with hints of the original style and structure left behind - an homage to it's past. Inside features a full-sized stove, oven, dishwasher and lots of space for dining, watching the 60" 4k TV, and cuddling in front of the fireplace. Outside you can take in amazing views as you sit by the fire pit or on the wrapped porch, at the edge of Orange Lake, at the head of Bushfield Creek. A truly rare and beautiful spot.
This is a little-known, completely private Lake Community just 3 minutes from civilization - 61 minutes from the George Washington Bridge. No need to go for hours and days to get away.
  • Great place for a weekend getaway, great location right on the lake. Everything was very clean and Thomas is a wonderful host, would definitely come back.
