  • Debra's place is the perfect spot for a getaway. The hot tub, hammock and private deck were much appreciated. The bed was comfortable and the apartment had everything we could possibly need. Debra had great local suggestions and she was quick to respond. If you have a dog, this will be your paradise. There is a beautiful trail down to the river and away from the road. Our border collie loved his off leash walks on the property with one of the friendly resident dogs.

    Katelyn2018-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • The accomodation was gorgeous! Debra was very friendly, and there were two perfect dogs to greet us when we arrived. The location is close to Wye Marsh for hiking and feeding birds, and we received excellent tips about a pizza place in Midland that was the best dang pizza I have tasted. Would stay here again!

    Maggie2018-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay with Debra. The Appartement was super cute and we felt like at home. Also the farm and the area around are really cool. We would definitely recommend a stay with Debra.

  • We had an amazing time! Cozy, welcoming and very clean apartment, a nice home away from home. The property is great; we had nice, long walks to the river with a friendly dog leading the way. Debra was very kind and knowledgeable about the area ; and the Art (Website hidden by Airbnb) one of the most amazing things I have ever seen! I spent hours browsing among the beautiful artworks. Paula was super nice and her cheerfulness made my day! Thank you for everything!!

    Judit2018-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at this homely apartment. It couldn't have been better. It's cozy, nicely decorated and very well equipped! We'd definitely recommend it to anyone. (-: We were also provided info material and helpful advice.

    Renate2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a genuine place to stay and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. The vibes are friendly with more than enough space to enjoy your own peace of mind. But if your up for more adventure there's the art barn on location, wood trails in the backyard, possible snowstorms in the winter, and a pair of super cool dog dudes if you need an ounce of canine companionship. The apartment has everything to feel right at home. Thanks to everyone for making such a great place to stay great!

    Luka2018-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a great place to spend your holidays. Very clean and nicely decorated. Unit located on a second floor (not like usually guest suit in walkout basement). With lots of green space surrounding we felt very private and secluded. We will be back Tetyana, Dennis & kids

We have lived here for 23 years. We are located on a quiet no exit street that ends at the YMCA and North Simcoe Recreation Centre and our property backs onto Little Lake Park. We love the peace and tranquility of the neighbourhood but within 5 minutes of walking can be downtown Midland. We enjoy the outdoors and frequently bike, rollerblade, hike around the park or on one of the trails along Georgian Bay.
  • Teresa and John's place is amazing! 10/10 would stay there again. It was spotless and gorgeous, very well-decorated and had everything we could possibly need. It was less than a 10 min walk to entertainment downtown and to the Midland waterfront. I also loved the walking trails at the end of their street, and the view of the lake! Thanks again!

  • We had a wonderful time at the cottage. The house was provided with everything we needed and had an incredible view to the lake. Suzanne and Jim were very welcoming, provided us with everything and made our cottage stay unique. Will try and come back next year! Highly recommended!

  • The Loon is a beautiful cottage with lots of windows and the beds are very comfortable. Jim and Suzanne were very friendly hosts. The area is very interesting - with the Big Chute Marine Railway and the Severn River. I enjoyed the kayaks that were available to borrow and spent a wonderful morning paddling and watching 3 loons make their way across Tea Lake.

    Pamela2014-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanne and her husband were fantastic hosts. Nice Cottage. We had a great time over there.

    Chantal2013-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a great cottage! Suzie and Jim were fantastic, and the lake was wonderful. I look forward to booking another week here sometime soon.

    Susan2015-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here, good location right on the lake, cottage is bright and well laid out, Sobey & Apurva were helpful, everything was great!

    Sean2018-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely rustic cottage. Water was nice and warm for swimming. Jim & Suzanne were very nice hosts.

    Nathalie2015-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience at the cottage! Hosts were welcoming and made us feel at home. Situated perfectly on the lake, at the end, so it is quiet. No sandy beach; next time we would bring water shoes for the kids, but completely access to boats and life jackets. The cottage itself was very very clean! We had to move furniture to fit the playpen and it was so nice to find it all very taken care of. Stove and BBQ were older but cottage-y. The only problem we had was the well water. One day the owners treated it and our 14 month old wouldn't drink it because of the taste. Perfectly fine to drink and it was good for us, but he wouldn't so a bottle of water fixed that. Would hope to come again!

  • Unique style interior with music filled living room! It’s totally an artistic escape and definitely a home away from home, We had bbq outside, pool time, an evening with John and Lori at Balm beach (enjoying the sunset, took pictures). We had a very warm welcome in midland and they gave us sightseeing tips and dinner ideas, ! Can’t thank them enough for all the good things they have done for us!

    Anu2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • I would definitely recommend John's place! We had a great stay and everything was perfect.

    Martijn2017-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • John was very friendly, and took it upon himself to make us feel at home, we were given a great tour around Midland which made our stay easier. The little notes around the place made it easier to remember what switches did what, and the complimentary fruit, popcorn, tea and coffee were much welcomed. That red couch was super comfy for Netflix nights, as were the bed. Definitely one of the cleanest airBNB’s we’ve been to. If you are an environmentalist you will love the toilet- the compost toilet was a little intimidating at first, but honestly is a much better alternative. We are looking forward to returning one day!

  • Bill was a warm and welcoming host who was helpful and always happy to answer our questions. His place was very clean, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the morning and used the bbq a couple of evenings. There was also everything we needed to make a few meals in the kitchen. I stayed there with my sister, my mother and our little dog and we all had a good time. There are lots of parks, trails and beaches to enjoy in the area. The waterfront is very nice and though the main street in Penetang had a lot of construction going on while we were there, it was an easy 10 min drive to Midland.

  • The cottage is amazing. We went as three couples (plus a dog) to a little winter getaway weekend, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. All rooms have lots of natural light during the day, and the view of the lake is perfect for relaxing and de-stressing.

Charming, quirky 3-bedrooms getaway with own private access to the the beach, surrounded by fragrant trees. Ecologically mindful setting, with minimum use of toxic substances on the ground or in the house. Comfortably fully equipped, BBQ, patio table, fire pit on the beach (when not banned), close to the amazing Midland and Penetanguishene attractions. NOT SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WITH ALLERGIES (spores in Cedar, pollen, etc. are present! Lots of live organisms). Please, no parties, or pets.
This is a unique little cottage entirely made of Cedar, in 1966 (year in which Tarver was born). The location cannot be better: it is right on the lake (cove), with a view to the lake at all times through very large windows. The cottage is furnished with vintage wooden furniture, and appliances (working, but do not expect new, and shiny) and plenty of folk accents from the Old Country. Its name is Mokotow, like the suburb in Warshaw. NOTE: it is NOT close to the ski resorts, although many people choose to stay with us as a budget option. You have one hour of beautiful drive all around the lake to get to the Blue Mountains.
Enjoy the colors of the fall in one of the many trails nearby. See the information above. You have your own direct access to the beach (the property goes up to the lake). This beach is mixed: cobblestones/sand and at cove beach 200 m. away, with beautiful colorful little boulders. If you prefer a sand only beach, it is just a couple of blocks!
  • We had an incredible time at Mokotow cottage by the lake! Our booking was easy and Maria and Tarver provided lots of information about the cottage. We had access to a charcoal grill which was great to cook our pork chops on. The cottage itself was beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice. I love that the bedding and towels were provided and there was plenty of space for the four of us. A great cozy escape from the city with a warm fireplace!! I would love to come back in the summer and take advantage of the walk out right to the beach. Thank you Maria and Tarver for such a lovely stay!

    Nicole2016-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Maria and Tarver's cottage, Mokotow, is the paradigm of a cabin by the lake. It would be impossible for me to design anything more ideal, even in my mind. Quaint, cozy, and very relaxing place to unplug. Felt like home right away. They're also great and very communicative hosts. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.

    Martin2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • An exceptionally charming and cozy place. Very hospitable hosts that go above and beyond to make you feel confortable.

  • I had a great stay at Maria and Tarver's cottage. It was super relaxing and had great views from the beach. Highly recommend if someone is looking to get away for some quiet time.

    Jordan2018-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • A great getaway. Perfect for the eight of us. Neighbours were home but were very pleasant/kept to themselves. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed! The beach is lovely :)

    Jenifer2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is our friends first trip and we are all enjoying this joyful experience. Actually, We did not have chance to meet Maria or Tarver in person, but we did get a reference letter from Maria which is very detail and include everything we want to know. Moreover, they also provide all different kitchen tools and BBQ stuff that really make ourselves at home. Most interesting part is Tarver and Maria look like enjoying dish-collection. They have different plates, bowls and cups which made from all over the world, like Japan, Korea, England even in West Germany. Anyway, this is lovely experience for all of us, even had a little accident but I glad we figure that out. And I would absolutely recommend this cottage to my friend.

Modern cottage with sunset views of Georgian Bay and right on the Tay Shore Trail for running and biking. Completely renovated in 2018 from top to bottom! 500 sqft deck with year round hot tub, bbq, sun loungers and patio table. Fire pit in the backyard. The house is on a good size lot surrounded by trees for lots of privacy. Across the trail you can access the water, 5 min walk to a sandy beach. 1.5hrs from Toronto, 30mins north of Barrie, 12mins to Mt St Louis Moonstone for skiing.
Rustic chic! Our cottage was completely renovated this year, with modern amenities including central heat and Air Conditioning, washer/dryer, a Hot Tub, big screen TV, high speed internet and Netflix. We brought the outdoors inside with pine walls and rustic decor while making sure you can stay as connected as you want. Take in the stars at night from the hot tub or make s'mores around a campfire :) The cottage has 4 bedrooms with double or queen beds and a great loft area. It is perfect for a couples getaway and a wonderful option for a vacation with friends or family, or both! There are activities nearby for people of all ages, or just get away from it all for a peaceful nature retreat. The kitchen has gorgeous quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances (french door fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave and dishwasher) and features a kettle, toaster, Tassimo coffee maker (bring your own discs!), as well as sugar/oil/salt/pepper. We provide clean bedding, towels, shampoo, body wash, soap, and toilet paper for all of our guests - just bring yourself and a few essentials! The cottage is not waterfront, but you can access the water across the trail from the cottage, a few meters from the backyard. There you can take out a canoe - the canoe with lifejackets/paddles on the property belongs to the owners and is the be used at your own risk. A 5 min walk down the trail takes you to a cute little sandy beach on Georgian Bay. There are several additional beaches a short drive away. Waubaushene is a very small town with about 950 permanent and seasonal residents on the shore of Georgian Bay. It's a quiet nice place to vacation!
  • Clean, modern, and functional space. We spent thanksgiving day weekend at this beautiful cottage. Spent lots of time outside in the hot tub and sitting by the fire pit. It fit 6 people (three couples) comfortably. Accommodations were lovely. New Washer/dryer which was convenient to rewash clothes and towels. Environmentally friendly. What a memorable weekend and Jess & Luc’s cottage definitely made it easy to relax and have fun.

  • Had a great time at this cozy modern cottage for a weekend! Beach access is about 10 minutes away, but we spent most of our time at the cottage playing games on the lawn, making stores at the campfire, bbq'ing, and sitting in the hot tub :) The hosts were incredibly friendly and answered very quickly! I would definitely recommend this cottage. I would just recommend bringing some extra sleeping pillows!

  • Lovely spot on the unique Tay Trail - perfect for walking/running, biking and rollerblading.

    Kristin2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jess and Luc’s beautiful home exceeded our expectations. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that anything you may require over the duration of your stay was available to you. The location is very peaceful and the perfect getaway spot. We would return in a heartbeat.

    Linda2018-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jess & Luc's place is in a great little area, with small beach within walking distance and a great fishing spot just a little further away. We did tons of bike riding with kids and everyone had a great time. The cottage was nicely renovated and upgraded and the huge balcony was a great spot to hang and eat meals. 1 washroom got a little tight with all of us but we made it work just fine.

    Carly2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • It's no surprise that Jess and Luc are superhosts. The space was sparkling clean, exactly as described, and communication was extremely quick and easy. The space is thoughtfully designed and furnished so you feel right at home upon arrival and are easily able to find and use all household items. This was an ideal space to achieve our goal of unwinding outside the city. My previous trips this area were to Wasaga Beach. Waubaushene has far less light pollution than I'd expected based on those trips and our views of the night sky were truly spectacular! If your group is able to travel with bicycles, I'd suggest bringing them as we would've loved to explore the local trails more.

    Erin2018-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Such a gorgeous space with comfy beds and modern touches. Had a friend who was a first time cottager that said "I could live here!" :) Jess and Luc were quick with communication and I appreciated them accommodating last minute requests. We all slept very well on clean beds, and towels were provided (one less thing we had to carry). The trail is perfect for biking/long walks - wish we had brought bikes up. And the hot tub was the cherry on top a wonderful weekend stay!

    Raquel2018-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • The place is beautiful decorated and very welcoming. The location is perfect for getting away from the city and the hot tub under star couldn’t be better. Thank you Jess and Luc for a wonderful stay!

Located in a quiet area of town. Waterfront of Georgian Bay is 3 blocks from home. Most houses on the street date back almost 100 years old. • A modest little upstairs apartment offering a good bang for your buck. Barbara has provided a lot of little unexpected amenities that makes you feel welcomed and at home. Barb was a great host. Note some ceilings are low. Offers everything you need while away plus more.

    Victor2018-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara's place is very cozy and clean, my boyfriend and I had a lovely stay. The kitchen had all the tools we needed to cook meals and the bathroom was well stocked with towels and soaps. One highlight of our stay was having a fire, Barbara kindly set us up with everything we needed to have a fire in her beautiful backyard. We would love to stay at Barbara's again next time we are in the area.

    Jess2017-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara is a jolly lady and has a kid friendly space. We loved our stay. Only the time of week we chose did not have much local events going on.

    Sweta2018-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Barb is an attentive, responsive, thoughtful host. She answered questions before we arrived, and the house had little notes, like pop-up tooltips, to guide us through our stay. The house feels like an old farmhouse, with the quirks and charm that come with that. We were visiting friends, so we barely used the facilities other than to sleep and wash, but there was WiFi, a kitchenette, and a couch. It's not modern and it's not fancy. It more than met our needs, though, and we would have loved to stay longer. Outside was wonderful, and we wish we had more time there so we could have had a fire in the firepit, or relaxed in the hammock, both in a giant back yard. We would highly recommend Barb and her home.

    Simon2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a great spot if you are looking for some quiet time with family and friends. Barbara does well to check in with guests to see if anything is needed above and beyond what she has already provided.

    Gladys2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Barb is an amazing host, loved her attention to detail on everything in the house, and was so nice that she kept on asking for anything that we might need, we found a very clean place to begin with, a part from that she kept notes in all areas of the house to make it easy for us. she is definitely my favourite host so far.

The point is named after Charles McGibbon, previous owner, former Warden of Simcoe County and the Mayor of Penetanguishene from 1905 to 1907. All of the floors are the original pine and the iron railings We are also located along the snowmobile trail and welcome riders! we offer ice fishing charters or guided tours upon special request. In the summer months tours or fishing by boat are also available.
  • This place is fantastic. Location is great - right by snowmobile trails and close enough to town to walk to shopping and restaurants. Becky is such a welcoming host - super clean and comfy spot. Loved the soft sheets, comfy beds, the fireplace and the soaker tub! While we were there a lot of snow fell, and Becky ensured the driveway was cleared and walkways were shovelled. We were even able to connect with contacts of Becky’s who kindly fixed our broken down snowmobile. You couldn’t find a better spot for a winter escape.

    Lori2018-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, cozy and clean place to stay. Becky was awesome at responding to us whenever we needed her. Because there are no doors on the rooms, I would highly recommend this place for solo travellers or couples! Other then that, the location is great and the house is gorgeous. Thanks for everything Becky!

  • This was the perfect space for a winter getaway. We were surprised with fruit for breakfast with yogurt and granola, milk, Baileys, and cream for our coffee and got chocolate! Becky left us a map and a schedule of winter events in the area. We loved that the space was within walking distance and how clean and comfortable it was. The only thing would be that the photos were a bit deciding of the bedrooms as we weren’t aware they didn’t have doors. However they were further enough away in separate floors for enough privacy. I would highly recommend this space and would definitely come back.

    Kristen2018-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Becky's place was perfect for a couple's getaway, within walking distance of the waterfront and downtown. We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast items left in the fridge and fresh fruit on the counter. This home is tastefully decorated with many neat artifacts and antiques.

  • The host was very friendly and left some thoughtful touches. We drove up later in the evening to find breakfast treats ready for the next morning. The view was very scenic and overlooked Penetanguishene Bay. All the rooms were warm and cozy with TVs close by. I would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway.

  • Beckys guest house was truly lovely. Cozy and architecturally very interesting! All furniture is lovely and comfortable. Master bed very comfortable and the towels are so luxurious. There are too many welcoming touches to mention but this was a wonderful surprise home. I really appreciated Becky providing fresh muffins, orange juice, fruit, cream/milk etc. I did not have to run to the market immediately ! Pictures and descriptions do not do it justice. It really was a delightful stay.

Visit our yurt overlooking Georgian Bay’s blue shores on our horse farm. Cozy-up with life’s little luxuries for an adventure outdoors in this off-the-grid yurt. Explore the trails with guidebooks and binoculars or go into town for foods, shopping, and shows. At night, watch lights twinkle across the bay from Blue Mountain ski hills, and stargaze through the skylight. Insulated felt walls and a wood stove will keep you warm while snuggling up in a custom made queen sized bed with fine bedding.
  • Thank you so much for your hospitality! We were looking for a mini staycation out of the city and this was just perfect. It was super cold and snowy leading up to the day so we were a little worried but we brought lots of layers and made sure to get up in the night to feed the fire. Overall, there were so many little touches that kept us stay cozy such as the multiple battery-operated lamps, the wonderful tea and coffee selection, extra seating, fresh eggs for breakfast from the farm, the playing cards, portable phone charger, slippers, the entire dining set up.. it was all so wonderful! Since there was so much snow we even got shuttled to the yurt on the snowmobile! Thank you again for having us! TIP: Make sure if it's winter to pack some layers and give yourself a lot of time to drive up through the smaller roads if you're from the city.

    Jess2018-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • All of Cady and Gavin's extra special touches - the warm welcome, slippers under the bed, an adventure bag, puzzles, and delishous local eggs - made my stay at the yurt even more wonderful! The property was beautiful and peaceful. It was the perfect escape for a few days and I hope to make it back someday!

    Jacqueline2018-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Gavin and Cady's was amazing! Spending a weekend in their yurt was a truly unique experience and we would absolutely do it again! The only thing you have to take care of is to keep the fire in the stove going, which is also a part of the charm. Otherwise, the yurt is so cozy and thoughtfully equipped that you won't miss a thing! We really appreciated a comfy bed with a sky window and all the kitchen supplies available including some delicious tea. It was fun to heat up the water on the stove and to read a book all snuggled under the blankets listening to the wind outside! Gavin and Cady, and also Gavin's parents, who we met at the end of our stay, were simply great hosts. Helpful, fun and caring, they even helped us jumpstart our car as it was really freezing during our stay. And you can buy some delicious fresh farm eggs on your way home! All in all, this wasn't our last time here and we recommend this place to everyone!

  • Cady and Gavin’s yurt is an amazingly unique experience. Their hospitality is fantastic. They provided us with a in depth tour of the space as well as great tips about the surrounding area. The close proximity to the nearby beaches is an added bonus as well. The yurt comes with everything you could think of and has a great deal of privacy. The bbq is provides an easy cooking experience and the fire pit has a great view of Georgian Bay. After our first experience we plan to make many more trips back in the future to experience what the yurt has to offer in the fall and winter months.

    Brendan2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay Cady and Gavin’s yurt - it was incredibly comfortable and well equipped. They set everything up with thoughtful little touches. We can’t wait to go back and would absolutely recommend visiting!

  • Gavin and Cady's yurt is pure magic. It is situated a bit away from the farm (but you can still see the horses and fields) with total privacy, and an insane view out to the bay. You can actually see it from inside the yurt! The BBQ is really convenient for cooking, as well as just being super well-stocked in general - they really thought of everything. We are definitely coming back next year!

    Bridget2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Gavin and Cady's yurt! We only met Gavin on our trip as Cady was at work - Gavin was an excellent host. He gave us a lovely tour of the stables and provided us with all of the information we needed including a map of the trails in the area for snowshoeing. Gavin was very responsive and available for any questions we had. The yurt was so cozy and comfortable! Gavin and Cady provided everything we needed and we loved cooking on the wood stove. We caught a beautiful sunset overlooking the Georgian Bay - highly recommend!

  • Simply one of the best experiences of my life! No amount of pictures or descriptions can explain how wonderful your getaway at this beautiful Yurt will be so just book and see it for yourself! Inside the Yurt is sparkling clean, the bed is super comfy, there’s every kitchen supplies you can think of, as well as whatever is needed to make your stay cozy, the view outside the Yurt is breathtaking, the farm and the horses are so beautiful, that you might not want to ever leave, and there are a few quiet and small beaches close by that are all so so beautiful and will make a perfect summer day just amazing. Cady & Gavin were the sweetest hosts, they took the time to show us around, tell us about everything and give us some tips on what to do in the area. I’m so in love with this place that just can’t wait to go back!

The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. We loved walking along the deserted beach and waking up to views of the Bay was serene. We would definitely look to return in the summer months. This is a great option if you're looking for an escape from city life.

    Alyson2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place was gorgeous and romantic and the pictures could not do it justice. We had a great time in Tiny and touring the surrounding area. The hosts sent a handy welcome letter with all the information we needed. Only issue was that the internet connection did not work, and when we tried to contact the property manager he never got back to us. It ended up only being a mild inconvenience for us - we were on vacation - but that could be a concern for some folks. Also, the dog in the parking lot... Teddy? Eddy? Wow, such dog! Amaze. So friendly. Such soft. 5/7 would dog again.

  • Great spot on GB for my wife and I for a week of recharging. Property managers very helpful.

  • A nice quiet getaway from the city....only 45mins to Collingwood

    Amit2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The place was small, but really cozy and comfortable. The fireplace, BBQ and couch was exceptionally great. Great view and balcony too. The kitchen has minimal appliances, i.e no big knife found, part of tongs was melted when we came.

    Crislita2017-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • It was the most relaxing and beautiful weekend getaway I could ask for. With daily sunsets, warm winds and a great view, the cabin was a slice of heaven.

  • Our stay was great. We felt lucky to get this AirBNB on the night of the butter tart festival. Just when we were tired of walking and overheated, we snuck into The Nest (which was a surprise for my husband). The space itself is gorgeously designed and furnished, and every detail has been considered. It was spotless and all the beds very comfortable.

    Julie2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • It was great for a girls’ weekend away! Thanks for everything.

    Ang2018-06-24T00:00:00Z

  • Very central to the downtown with walkability to the waterfront and local shops. Parking is right outside the unit which is also very handy. The unit is extremely clean and tidy and very nicely decorated inside. Would highly recommend if staying in Midland. My wife, children also enjoyed an evening sail within a 5 minute drive to the Yacht Club!!

    Cristina2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sue’s place was fantastic! The place was beautiful, clean, spacious, and in such a convenient spot - just steps from the water :). Sue accommodated a very last minute request and was able to have the place ready for us when we arrived! She was friendly and communicative, giving us clear instructions and recommendations of places to check out in town. It was the perfect evening in midland :) I would stay here again myself and recommend it to anyone looking to stay! Thanks again for the great stay Sue!

This log cabin is less than two hours from Toronto. Waterfront, hot tub, beautiful gas fireplace, 80" Smart TV, XBOX ONE, NETFLIX, Satellite, WIFI, Dishwasher, deck, BBQ, dock, fire-pit and Muskoka chairs. An open kitchen with island - seats 8, dining area– seats 8. Nothing is cozier than staying in a log cabin on the lake.
  • This cabin was a perfect weekend stay. The hosts were really quick at responding back if you did have any questions. Loved the hot tub. Would recommend it to anyone.

    Agalyan2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience! The cabin is stunning and situated right on Georgian Bay but you can already see that from the photos which are 100% accurate. The bonus touches provided by the host are what makes the experience there so much more enjoyable. No need to bring anything other than a change of clothes and your groceries. The cabin is fully stocked with everything else. You won’t miss a thing as they have it all available for you. Paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, towels, spices, cookware, firewood. It’s all there in abundance. Thank you DeAnn & George. You have a wonderful place that we enjoyed very much.

    Danny2018-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • DeAnn was a lovely host! When we arrived at the cottage with our family, DeAnn was there to give us a warm welcome. The place was spotless, very well equipped, cozy fireplace, great view, jacuzzi,... We felt we would have an amazing holiday and we absolutely did! So amazing that we've already booked again :) Thanks DeAnn and George!

    Jan2018-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely cottage was perfect for 8 adults looking to getaway for a few days. My parents, siblings, and I loved every moment! It is incredibly comfy and cozy - it's evident that a lot of thought was put into the design and decor (extra blankets, all the cooking hardware you need, big screen TV with two large couches, large deck and dock with plenty of Muskoka chairs to go around, large dining table, open concept kitchen, and blackout drapes for those mornings you want to sleep-in). To top it all off, DeAnn was a great host. I would highly recommend this cottage!

    Priscilla2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, amazing inside and out, amazing host!

    Kate2018-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this cabin as a surprise getaway for my husband's birthday. The photos do not do the cabin justice; the decor and furniture work together so well to create a rustic and homey atmosphere. We arrived on a late-November evening and DeAnn was there to greet us and give us a full tour of the home. She was wonderfully welcoming and we instantly felt at home. Everything from the cookware to the toiletries was meticulously organized and abundant. The home was cleaner than my own home and cleaner than most hotels that I have been to in my life. We could not have imagined a more perfect place to spend the weekend. 100% will be trying to come back for another visit. 100% would recommend to friends, families, and strangers.

    Sarah2017-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at DeAnn and George's cabin. It is a wonderful combination of rustic with modern amenities. DeAnn met us on our first day and provided us with a tour. She has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. She was a great host and was quick to respond to any of our inquiries yet provided us with privacy. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We loved watching the boats going by from the dock. The hot tub was a nice bonus. We were a little surprised when we arrived that the cabin was quite close to a busy road. You could hear the traffic from the deck and dock but it is easy to turn your focus on the tranquility of being on the water.

    Joan2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • DeAnn is a thoughtful host and anticipates everything for your comfort. Her (and George's) cabin is lovely and perfectly appointed for relaxing in front of the fire, soaking in the tub under the stars, and cooking while entertaining. I am sure its great in the summer but the log cabin and appointments are everything you want to feel cosy and warm on a crisp winter's day. Every attention to design and detail is warm yet elegant including a array of gourmet teas and coffee. Wonderful place to rest and rejuvenate!

  • Peter's cottage was the perfect family getaway! Very clean, modern and spacious. Much more spacious than I imagined as our 12 guests had more than enough room to lounge around, sleep, and have dinner all together. There were plenty of dinnerware and just about everything you would need in a kitchen. There's a shed full of water activity equipment like kayaks, a canoe, stand up paddleboard, life jackets and fishing rods. Also a hot tub and firepit with Muskoka chairs to relax in. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Peter was quick to answer any questions I had and helped resolved any issues. Would love to visit again!

    Chaya2018-08-30T00:00:00Z

    Gabriela2018-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • I have rented numerous cottages from the past and I can definitely say that this is one of the best ones that my family and friends have rented. Peter was accommodating and helpful in every way. • Craig was very helpful and prompt in his communications. His check-in instructions were very clear. His place is clean, nicely decorated and is very roomy and cozy. This is very close to Collingwood/Blue Mountains/Wasaga region and also near the harbor. Overall we had a great experience

    Devi2017-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • The house of Craig was the best place on our tour through Canada (out of 7). If I knew how good it is, I had booked a longer stay there. He gave us a lot of information about places to go and things to visit. We used as much as we could in the limited time we had. Craig offers a top rental and is also a very good host.

    Axel2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Craig is an amazing host who will make your stay at the Manse feel like you never left home!

    Jake2018-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • The Manse is a spacious, stylish and well-appointed property. Bright sunroom, large living room, large dining room, fully equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. Check-in and check-out was a breeze and the place was sparkling clean for our arrival. The location is great - we used this rental as a base from which to make day trips - to Beausoleil Island and to Balm Beach, both lovely.

    Sarah2018-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as expected and the location is great. Walk to town and just a short drive to Midland.

    Carla2017-07-05T00:00:00Z

    yong2016-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Craig's place was clean and had everything we needed. Some of the beds are in tighter quarters but overall the stay was very smooth and we were glad to come back to Craig's place. Would recommend!

  • We were 5 friends staying for 4 nights over New Years weekend. This house was perfect for us. Within walking distance to restaurants and a great Irish pub. Also within walking distance to the lake front. We went snow shoeing every day in Awenda which is a provincial park about a 10 minute drive. It is very clean and spacious. Although only 2 bedrooms it has an extra bed in a back entrance space which is quite comfortable with a door that makes it private. Spacious dining room for meals together. Good size eat in kitchen with large fridge. Driveway long enough for 3 cars. Host was very responsive to our inquiries and made it easy to book and stay at his house.

  • Maria made the whole experience seamless and the cottage was beautiful for our stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- communication

    Alexey2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Maria's Place may look great on the website,...but the continuing plans she has to renovate it in the near future will make it even more "SPECTACULAR!"

    Wayne2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Maria was lovely and easy to communicate with and that made the process enjoyable. She was very patient as we tried to organize our group and I very much appreciated that! Most of the home was lovely (though some areas were old and had been well used)...the kitchen and living area were very big and cozy and the view out the windows was so pretty! The beds were all comfortable and new, and there was lots of space for our family. Thank you for sharing your home with us, Maria! :)

  • Loved staying at Maria's cottage! We fit 20 people comfortably and had a fabulous time. The kitchen is great and the deck has a fabulous view.

    Alex2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space. Many bedrooms. Front of the cottage isn’t anything to look at, but the back is what makes it special. The deck over looks the water and was great for photos. Large windows face the water and let all the light into living room and kitchen. The green space in the backyard is so spacious for activities. The water is shallow and was warm despite being June! Unfortunately the dock was not on the water. Lots of seating inside for guests. 2 fridges were a life saver! Didn’t need any coolers. The basement with pool table is spacious as well.

Our recently renovated cottage is 1 hour 45 min drive from Toronto on beautiful Six Mile Lake, you can drive right up to our back door. This is a family oriented cottage, we welcome family’s of all sizes into our property. There is a canoe, kayak and a paddle boat for use. If you have a boat there is a public launch right across the bay. In the winter months we can host as many as we can in the summer. The snowmobile trails are right down the road from our driveway.
Our cottage is located on the northwestern part of Six Mile Lake on Crooked Bay, in the region of Muskoka. The lake was named this because it is roughly six miles north from the closest town, Port Severn. Six Mile Lake has been popular with anglers and families since the 1800’s because of it’s bountiful fishing and clean, peaceful waters. There are several structures on the lake that date back to the early 1900’s. Welcome! You can enjoy our big dock and deck with great views of the lake. At night you can enjoy a beautiful fire in our fire pit and some wood is supplied to get you started. There is a BBQ full of propone for your use. Our cottage has 3 bedrooms and a big bunkie that is heated. The bedrooms have 2 queen bed and 1 double and 1 bunk bed in with the double bed. There are 3 bunk beds in the bunkie, great for kids. Our guests like to relax on our dock there is paddle boat, canoe and kayak there for your use. We do recommend you wear life jackets while using them we do not provide life jackets so please bring your own. If you have a boat there is a public launch right across the bay. For the Winter months we welcome guests into our cottage for sledding, hunting and ice fishing or just relaxing and maybe going for a skate on the lake. Mount St louis is also just a 20 MIN drive away. Snow mobile trails are just down the road from cottage.
There is a marina right down the road for amenities if needed and port severn is only 15 min from the cottage and has great places to have breakfast and enjoy the cottage life. Mount saint Louis is only a 20 min drive, if interested in the winter months.
  • Wonderful time at this beautiful cottage . Great hosts and great times with the family. Thank you Steve.

  • The place was beautiful inside and out, in a wonderful location and there were several amenities that made it perfect for a weekend getaway! We had a great time!

  • Steve and Sarah's cottage is beautifully located in a bay close to Port Severn. The cottage had plenty of room to fit 3 families comfortably, and the bunkie was an additional bonus. Our kids enjoyed swimming, canoeing and fishing, with plenty of wildlife around. We truly enjoyed our family get-together!

    Annick2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our family enjoyed our stay tremendously. As soon as you get there the cottage is clean and ready for you. You literally don't have to bring anything except for bedsheets and pillowcases, they have everything for you. Six mile lake offers so many different things for the family. We enjoyed tubing, jumping off the cliffs and visiting the rapids. You should get a chart of the lake (you can buy one at the marina) as there are some shallow areas but the chart will tell you where all of the rocks are. The kids enjoyed the bunkie and there was enough space in the cottage that your not tripping over each other. Thanks again and we will definitely be looking to come back next year

  • We really enjoyed our stay, it is a very beautiful cottage and you can find everything you need for your stay. The water was beautiful and we were lucky it was a sunny weekend

    Paniz2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was a suitable cottage for a gathering of 15 friends (no children) for a couple days of fun on the lake. Equipped with a good kitchen, many beds to sleep in, and some toys for the water it has mostly everything you need to host a weekend get away. I would come back in the future.

    Bryan2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage looked so much better in person, the pictures don't do it justice. It was beautiful inside and out and me and my guests really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely be coming back. The views of six mile lake were impeccable and Stephen was extremely quick to answer all of our questions when needed.

    Danila2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • we expected that Stephen were always ready to help us if we wanted. The house is perfect for big family or big group. We had fun together. Many thanksss to my host

  • This is a lovely biddle hidaway and the hosts are gracious - great value

    Wendy2017-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • I was here 5-10 mar 2018. It was very good stay because Richard and Jenny helped to make it so. This couple is so friendly. It seems they do not see strangers. As soon as they meet you, they behave like they've known you forever. They are so generous. My internet access on my phone did not work up there, and Jenny gave up the use of her phone every night when I come in so that I could use it as a hotspot. I have been to quite a number of airbnb but never went to one with the host in house, so I was quite concerned about how things would go with strangers sharing the same space but Richard and Jenny dispelled any concerns I had with that. The bed was comfortable and the house was clean. The bathroom served the purpose very well. I had use of the kitchen, and I was made to feel comfortable using it. Richard was there to welcome me. Before, I arrived, Jenny already made space in the fridge for my things. When I arrived and needed a bit more space, Richard made it happen. They also offered me the use of the enclosed garage which was so helpful because it was still winter. The house is about 10 minutes drive from downtown, so it is a bit more rural. You are surrounded by nature here. And it is just beautiful out here. It snowed a little bit while I was here and of course the trees around formed a winter wonderland. I would use this airbnb again if I am in the area and would recommend it to friends also.

    Nkeiru2018-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • It's a beautiful home and very comfortable bed, much recommend staying here. Jennifer and Richard are very nice and welcoming too. I'd love to go back sometime

    James2017-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer and Richard were the bests hosts one could wish for. They have a beautiful home. The bed was so comfortable and they are really nice people. Great hospitality and enjoyed my stay. I will definitely plan another trip your way and if your looking for a place in this area look no further! Very quiet neighborhood with mature trees and nice nature setting.

    Derek2017-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer and Richard are very marvelous people and their accomodation is very good. They are always helpful but not intensive. Very recommendable.

    Ludger2018-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Rich and Jennifer were super friendly, accommodated our needs, and were easy to get along with. The space was ideal. Private, clean, spacious and comfy. Everything we needed was available and it was a pleasant surprise to be offered breakfast as well. Maggie, the dog, is adorable. We would definitely go back.

    Nicole2018-01-14T00:00:00Z

  • The beach and property were so lovely! The kids loved the climber, tree swing and trampoline. The weather was perfect!

    Amanda2018-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • A great property on the water. Shallow, sandy beach that is safe for our young children. Modern amenities -- there's everything that you could need for cooking and cleaning. Having access to laundry was a bonus. Our children enjoyed the trampoline and climber. The huge stuffed animals were a big hit. There are also nice shaded trails for walking and biking. Kerry answered all our questions and concerns promptly -- a great host.

    Linda2018-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in Kerry and Shelley's home with our three small children. The location and property are outstanding. The trampoline, climber, swing, swim dock and beautiful sandy beach kept the kids entertained. Midland is a short five minute drive away and has great amenities. And of course, the hosts were kind and welcoming. When asked what my daughter wanted for her birthday she replied "Move to the cottage!"

    Anna2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
Merci :)

Tourist town with many attractions and events. The buildings in the area are amazing. Theatre by the bay, Martyr Shrine, lake shore with fishing and swimming, amazing water park, restaurants, bingo, grocery store, liquor store, and so much more in walking distance. Next door to the public library. Friendly safe community.
The church was built in 1833. This building is an old Methodist church that doubled up as a hospital when the town was hit with the Spanish flu. At some point it was turned into an apartment building which over the years became “unloved”. We bought it with the intentions of fixing it up a renting out apartments again, but as we got into it realized there was too much character and beauty to just simply paint and update. We’ve removed boards and drywall covering original windows, took down to original hard wood flooring where we could, and in some apartments the original wood ceiling. This building is very old. Despite the updates and renovations please expect the perfect imperfections of staying a building that’s almost 200 years old. This unit has quite a few stairs. So here we are in this lovely tourist town with such a unique building that over looks the water and unlimited options... an Airbnb seemed fitting. On the main floor... A kitchenette with a stove, fridge, microwave, kettle , coffee maker, toaster, and cooking pots and pans. Bathroom with sink, shower, mirror, and bathroom basics A cozy bedroom with twin bed, dresser, lamp ,and skylight. A very comfy open area that’s great to visit in with table and chairs to eat at, pull out sofa bed, tv with smart DVD player and neflick account and coffee table. On the top floor there is a large beautiful room with queen size bed and skylight. The parking is around the back. There’s parking on the road in front closer to the entrance, but in the winter by midnight vehicles need to be on our Lot to avoid a ticket.
Wow! We love this area. It’s a perfect mix of peace and quiet close to everything. We stay here often. It’s such a break from being in the city. It’s the kind of place you can really relax with a coffee on the deck. From our place you can see the water. It’s just a few blocks away. The main st is the next st over and is full of unique stores, restaurants and beautiful amazing buildings. There are a lot of different places to dine. There is fishing, a free water park, a beach, and all sorts of water activities within minutes of walking. For those who like a mainstream fix there is also Timmies, a convenience store, liquor store and groceries within walking distance too. The public library is next door. If the kids like Pokémon go this is the place to be.
  • This space was so large - it could easily host four individuals. It was also located within five minutes of everything - restaurants, native shops, docks, local ice cream, you name it! Great space.

  • Fantastic stay, Becca and Colin were very attentive hosts and it's a great space to stay in! We had a great stay and would definitely return.

  • My husband and I were the first guests to stay here. All I can say, outstanding. We will be returning in the summer as this unit sits high enough that you can see the lake from the deck. Rebecca and Colin are wonderful hosts, going above and beyond to make our weekend away a wonderful one. If I could rate above 5 stars, I absolutely would. Thanks guys, and see you in the summer:)

  • Becca and Colin were excellent hosts - check in was so easy and they went out of their way to make sure that we had all amenities and anything extra we needed. Their lovely guest suite in the church is interesting, clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay! Highly recommended!

  • Becca and Colin are wonderful hosts who were completely communicative in the days leading up to our stay and during out stay. The location is great and the building is very unique and was able to accommodate our group comfortably. Even though we were in Midland for work, both Becca and Colin's hospitality and the location of their place have given us all desire to go back for a visit. Would recommend to anyone!

  • My daughter and I have stayed at Marco & Laura lovely house, it's really nested in a beautiful wild and on the borders of Awenda Park. The host is so responsive and send you all the details you want to know, the house is modern and clean with a very good deal of details everywhere. We have enjoyed a lot and thank you for Marco & Lauren for great hosting.

  • The place was great! It is fully furnished and looks beautiful. The kitchen and bathroom was stunning and the shower has a high end design with 5 nozzles! It was perfect for our trip as it was only 15 minutes from Awenda provincial park. The A/C was a big bonus as well. We kept cool the entire trip which helped us stayed comfortable all weekend.

    Richard2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Marco and Laura's place was easy to find, but you need a car to get around. It is close to Awenda Provincial Park. It was very clean and spacious. As describe inside has been recently renovated so it is an nice modern space. The kitchen was well equipped and had a dishwasher. Communication was quick via email and entrance was by a lock box so no issues getting in when we arrived. There was a large fire pit that we put to good use. Overall a nice place!

  • We really enjoyed our short weekend getaway at Marco & Laura’s place! They are great hosts that reply quickly to any questions or concerns we had. The place is exactly described and was spotless when we arrived. Highly recommend!!

  • Great house, very clean and quiet. Beautiful garden and peaceful place to explore from.

    Mandy2018-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our family stayed at Marco & Laura's place which was very close to a provincial park and a friend's cottage in the same scenic neighbourhood. The place was modernly furnished inside with a beautiful back porch where one can enjoy their morning coffee. We used the home as a base camp for our daily excursions in the area. It was a very clean and comfortable experience which we would consider again if we visit the area again.

    Vince2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great service!

    Slava2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Marco’s place is very clean with stylish furnishing. I would rate the place a 5/5 if the AC could be more functional. We stayed at this place during the hottest days of the season. The AC has been running, however the temperature would not go lower than 25 degree with numerous attempts. Communication is very efficient and Marco was able to reply us on timely manner.

  • Although we didn't see our hosts they had left everything in place that made our stay feel like a home away from home. There was nothing we wanted for that hadn't been thought of. A tiny piece of heaven not to far from home . The view is wonderful too. Thanks !

    Cheryl2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Coming to the cottage in the winter time you are welcomed by a majestic winter wonderland, the feel is of communion with nature as the waterfront has now turned all white and there is an immense feel of tranquility around you. One learns to respect nature in such conditions, you have to conform to its rules, but once you stepped into the cottage the warmth of the fireplace and the coziness of the place helps one feel comfortable and at home. The cottage is very well equipped and organized, it's easy to settle in and start enjoying your stay. We certainly have made our trip a family memory to take away over the years, and can only imagine how beautiful it can also be in the summer. Lots of reasons to have us return, and leaving now with a big thank you towards our very helpful and friendly hosts Victoria and Domenic.

    Andrei2018-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had the most amazing time at the cottage! The waterfront is gorgeous, the sand is it clean, the rooms were perfect! Though smaller then we thought it was very cozy and perfect for our long weekend getaway. Thank you for allowing us to pend an amazing and relaxing weekend at your cottage!

    Karin2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Victoria's cottage over the weekend. We wanted a quiet place to unwind & get out of the city, this was the perfect place to do it. It was very cosy & welcoming, we arrived to the fireplace on & Victoria had left us a lovely welcome basket. The cottage itself is gorgeous, it has everything you need for your stay, in beautiful surroundings looking out across the lake. We've already requested to stay here again during the summer, can't wait to see what the weather transforms it into. Would highly recommend.

    Alex2016-03-07T00:00:00Z

  • A great place and a great host! The place was amazing, and the location couldn't be better. Hope to be back soon!

    Brent2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • The beach was awesome ... at 300 feet from shore we were still standing on soft sand in 6 feet of water - a gentle sandy slope all the way out that is perfect for children. The shallow nature of the bay meant warmer water than I expected and kept us in the water for hours at a time. The shallow nature of the bay also meant fish ... and therefore loons, ducks, blue herons and even a baby otter - we joked that the ducks had organized a morning power swim as approx. a dozen of them circled the entire bay every morning as we had breakfast. What wasn't detailed in the property description but represented another bonus is that both water and sewage are municipal services - so you can drink the tap water and don't have to worry about where a septic bed is so as to keep your kids off of it. The view is beautiful, the area and neighbours are nice and all the stores/supplies you might need are within a 15 minute drive - many within a 5 minute drive. This property rocks.

  • Best cottage experience I've had in years! Upon arrival we we're greeted with treats and toys for my dog and a lovely greeting note! The hospitality was absolutely incredible, from the modern adorable decor inside to the view in the backyard with the most perfect fire pit! All the comforts of home with the serenity of a cottage. Will for sure be going back. P.s also left us some of the cutest gold covered lollipops ever!

  • This cottage truly is a Georgian Gem. It was absolutely spotless with many personal touches that made us feel welcome and at home. It was extremely relaxing sitting outside listening to the waves lap at the shoreline and watching the sunset over the beautiful view of the water. Candice and her family truly go above and beyond.

  • Candide's cottage is an ideal place to spend a holiday. It is clean and bright. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The place is exactly as shown in the pictures and a few steps from the lake. Candice provided us with very useful information before and during our stay. The area is delightful. Grocery stores are located 10min drive which is very convenient. I would definitely come back there and I recommend this place if you are looking for a charming cottage.
