Super great place, friendly, accurately described and also a well decorated place.

Eric's basement is spacious, clean, and beautifully remodeled. The bedroom is plenty big. The mattress is firm, lots of blankets. The ceiling fan is perfect. Minimal noise from upstairs. Dogs were friendly and adorable but we are dog lovers. My favorite part was the bathroom. The heated floors were a nice touch along with the shower with jets. The cost of this place was fair and affordable. Allowed us plenty of extra spending money to explore and do multiple activities. Very friendly host and family and they allowed us to come and go as needed. Would love to stay again sometime! Thanks again Eric!

Basement pretty stylish and bathroom is great

Great night at Eric’s place.

Eric’s home was a perfect place to lay my head while visiting family in the area. The space is huge, with soft and warm immaculately clean carpet. I had the place to myself, but there is plenty of space for more people to sleep with privacy, if needed. The twin bed alcove is separate from the queen bedroom, and separate from the sofas. Clean and spacious walk in shower, and toiletries in a basket available, which came in handy. Bed and bedding were very comfortable. Easy and friendly communication. And of course Cooper!!! Very sweet dog. Thank you!

Eric’s place is clean, quiet, and comfortable with lots of space. The town is quaint with nice places to eat and drink. Also easy access to shopping and restaurants near by. This was our second stay but not the last

Alex’s and his fiancées house was very clean and comfortable. It’s near downtown DeKalb and near NIU. They are both very friendly and will try to make you feel as comfortable as possible.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. I arrived later in the evening and never got to meet Tanya. But she always felt close by, with all necessary communication and later she quietly dropped off some things I needed but had forgotten to ask for. Self check-in was smooth and flawless after finding wide open parking on the street just outside the front door. The house is in a charming old small town American neighborhood, the kind that coaxes you to take a good long walk around the blocks after a demanding drive. The room is a good size and airy, with screened windows that slide open easily—plenty of fresh air. The bed was super comfortable for me, including extra blankets on the shelf for the cool October night. I got the good night’s sleep I so much needed. There were some good things to read while sitting in the dormer window seat with first coffee of the morning, looking out the front windows into tall trees not quite yet in their full autumn colors. I enjoyed the swimmers pattern on the bath towel. And thanks, Tanya, I very much appreciated the good selection of shampoos and body wash in the shower. All in all, very charming, comfortable and appropriate to my needs.

Beautiful home and pleasant neighborhood for a weekend getaway. The park is very pretty to see when you look out the windows. The hosts Sara and Pablo were also very responsive and checked in to make sure everything was good. This is the perfect home if you have a dog! Huge backyard fully-fenced and a large room off the kitchen that is tile, has a door if needed, and a very practical spot to keep the Pup especially if you are going out. Back door to the yard is in the same room too. Comfy bed and very soft sheets, blankets, and pillows. A very relaxing weekend. Thank you Sara and Pablo!

Our stay at Sarah’s & Pablo’s House was great. The location is super, close to downtown and NIU. House was very clean, yard was awesome for the dogs. If you have a pet and looking for a great place to stay, we highly recommend this house.

Sara & Pablo are wonderful hosts! Their house is beautifully decorated and very clean. The location is perfect with open space and a cute park right across the street. Anything you could need to cook with is available in the kitchen. The beds are so comfortable and the sheets are incredibly soft! My friends and I look forward to staying there again soon.

Ron and Mary were incredible! This was our first time using Airbnb, and we will absolutely look to stay with Ron and Mary again, and to use Airbnb again. The reservation was easy, as was the checkin when we arrived. The room was spectacular and we felt right at home. The location in Sycamore was fantastic, and their home is gorgeous. And not only was our room and bathroom sparkling clean, they provided so many fine touches that made our stay enjoyable. You can't go wrong!

You will sleep in a lovely brass bed, have your own private bathroom with white fluffy towels, be greeted with fresh baked cookies, and be invited to join the family or not as you wish. Exceptionally clean. Description does not even do it justice!!

We recommend this place because 421 Somonauk is located a quiet neighborhood in a pleasant community which is only an hour's drive or less from Chicago. We found the hosts friendly and helpful, and the place was clean, with some special snacks to welcome us upon arrival.

This is a beautiful Victorian home with a charming Air Bnb space. Mary and Ron are so welcoming and provided us with yummy snacks and lots of info about the area. We will definitely come back here again!

*Great* location for access to NIU. All is comfortable. Very nice to be able to use the whole kitchen. Plenty of utensils, even for measuring and cooking. Host and other guests were all easy to communicate with and helpful.

Gwendolyn's place is incredibly homely and spacious. The Safari room had the best touches and I couldn't have booked a better Air BnB. I was working at NIU and it was a five minute walk to get on to campus, never mind the beautiful scenery that encompasses the walk. Absolutely stunning house to stay in and such a value for money. Gwendolyn was a great host and responded immediately and helped me out when I notified her I’d misplaced the keys, which were safely found in my SUB. The home is very cozy and the stay was very relaxing her variety of coffee and teas make the perfect morning kickstart.

This place is adorable. The only thing that I would say was a little bit tricky was figuring out where to park but after some analyzing we noticed the lines on the driveway but it was very close quarters for parking. we would stay here again !

Wow, where do I even start?! we opted to stay at Gwendolyn's because the room looked very clean, the price was very reasonable and it was close to where we wanted to be. little did we know it was MUCH more than we expected! she has thought of everything. We enjoyed every nuance of this beautiful old home. We thoroughly enjoyed the oppertunity to cook our own meals sit out in the screened porch area or even sit in the large sitting room and play games. but best of all, the beds are soooooooo comfy! Thank you for a wonderful stay! we will be back!

This was an awesome place to stay for a very reasonable price. They had toiletries there for you that you may have forgotten and left out snacks and drinks as well. It was clean and quiet. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Thank you for being a super host!! Since we often stay in airbnb, we had no expectations as we knew the photos always do match the property. She surprised us when we saw a personalized handwritten note with a bottle of wine, which made us feel welcomed. She also made sure to place some food, snack and water which you mostly won't find in any airbnbs. The house was cozy stacked with articles and it was ideal for our gathering to spend a fun filled new years night. We have listed this house for any of our future gatherings. Happy new year!!!!!!

This place is very spacious and decorated nicely. Will sleep quite a few people and even two kitchens. There were balconies and room to park and hang outside. Most of all she was very accommodating and easy to get a hold of when I had a question.

Adorable farm house felt like staying at our grandparents. Our group of 11 ladies in town for an NIU alum event found it a perfect place to spend some quality time together.

My sisters and I loved our stay at this charming 19th century farmhouse. With two full baths, a full kitchen, a spacious living room, proper dining room, lots of large windows, and large bedrooms with comfortable beds, all our needs were met. Despite being out on the windy prairie in November, we were very warm. The house was well insulated, and the floors hardly creaked. So quiet and peaceful. We loved the antiques too. Even though the house is just outside Cortland, it’s only a ten minute drive from downtown DeKalb. It was easy to find and checking in & out was a breeze. A phenomenal bargain!

Cynthia’s property is very cozy and clean. She had great communication with us and even accommodated us on very late notice. We would definitely stay here again!!

Wonderful home. Very comfortable in a quiet neighborhood. Beautiful view from the deck. Kids will love the fireflies. 25 min to the Aurora Metra station. 45 min express train to Union Station Chicago. Grocery stores 10 min away. I had a great visit.

This was a great place right by Northern Illinois University to be able to have a group of people hang out and have dinner together and be able to play games. Only an hour and a half from downtown Chicago, this place was awesome! We had a blast!

Clean bed sheets, clean shower and bathroom, clean organized home. Accurate photos of the area. I feel my privacy was well respected. Brian was welcoming and made sure I was aware of where everything the add stated I had access to. Very pleased all in all.

This is a wonderful value. Nice, residential street right next to NIU campus. Plenty of good areas for walking. There’s a big whirlpool tub on the second story. plenty of tea and coffee, hot chocolate.

I usually commute to class but needed to stay closer to campus while working on some big assignments. It's a twin bed in a kid's room with a small private bath. I was able to study on the desk, it was exactly what I needed and the hosts were very nice.

Very much enjoyed my stay at Melanie’s place! My hosts were very accommodating and interesting. Their home was sparkling clean, uncluttered and tastefully decorated.

We spent only one night at Melanie's place and had a restful stay. Everything is as discribed. Upon our arrival Melanie had already prepared an airmatress as the bed is pretty small for two. Last but not least the two kitties are very cute and cuddly. :)

This was a great space. So close to campus. Very clean and easy to find. We were unsure about parking but with Visitor's Parking lot and Campus Life Building so close there was no major hassle.
