Places to stay in Maple
Deer Haven is a tiny house (192 sq feet) located in my backyard, overlooking acres of woodland. The space is small and simple. Get to the queen bed in the sleeping loft by climbing the tug boat ladder. Bathroom has a toilet and stock tank shower. The kitchen has basic amenities - fridge, microwave, dishes, etc. Best spot in the house is on the couch, where you can see the fireplace and the gorgeous woods out the patio door.
Much of the space was built using reclaimed materials - you’ll find a port hole and ladder, reclaimed from a historic twin ports tug boat, rails made from poles from a Lake Superior ore dock, and shelves that used to be beams from a house build in the early 1900s, and lots of reclaimed corrugated steel.
  • Rena's place was exactly what we needed for late winter weekend get away. We loved being deep in the Brule River forest and having Bayfield an hour or so away.

    Byron2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is truly a gem! Rena was so kind and welcoming and had everything we needed. The space was so cozy and relaxing. We went hiking at local state parks and spent the rest of our time in the beautiful tiny home. We cannot wait to go back!

    Lindsey2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had a phenomenal stay at Rena's! I was only disappointed that I wasn't staying longer. Rena is a friendly host, who offered suggestions for hikes and activities in the area. My stay was incredibly comfortable - I would return without hesitating.

    Kyla2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Rena’s place was so quaint, quiet, and clean! You could tell she put a lot of love in that tiny house and it was just as described! She had a hot plate and griddle and pots and pans for you to cook intimate meals and she has the coziest gas fireplace and couch to lounge in. There are no problems with being cold in the winter in this tiny home and we were pleasantly surprised by how cozy it all was. We would definitely recommend coming to Rena’s tiny home no matter the weather outside!

    Haeree2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Rena's tiny house is truly magical. Her place is homey, off-the-beaten path and the perfect getaway to enjoy a quiet and relaxed weekend. The home itself is incredibly charming and cozy, with a nice fireplace, comfy couch, nature views and plenty of space (considering it's "tiny"!). Definitely would recommend or consider staying there again. We went in winter and snowshoed, but I imagine summer is lovely.

    Brikken2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great little getaway in a nice quiet corner of the world. Stayed in winter, so fireplace was warm and welcome after snowshoeing around Amnicon Falls and Pattison State Parks. If you need provisions, the c-store in town is well stocked (groceries, liquor). Unit is in a backyard, but feels very private with its own entrance. Thanks, Rena!

    Darin2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Rena is such a warm and gracious host - we felt so welcomed by her! She was willing to help with anything that we needed, and was very responsive. The tiny home is adorable - everything about the decor is intentional and has its place. Rena did such a great job creating this little haven. We loved the view from the back doors, looking out into the woods. We drove to Duluth, a really cute town about 40 min away, and Rena gave us so many great tips on places to eat, coffee shops, breweries, etc. It was such a peaceful getaway for us, and we definitely hope to come back. Highly recommend this place!

    Josh2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The sweetest home with the sweetest touches and sweetest host! Thank you for the cozy, wintry stay, Rena! :)

    Lake Nebagamon, WI, United States

A very cozy and rustic tiny house situated on 10 acres mid-way between Duluth and Two Harbors and a short (one mile) hike to the shore of Lake Superior.
A cozy tiny house with twin size bunk beds, a desk, a dorm-sized fridge and a collection of comic books. Coffee and tea is provided with a pour over filter and electric kettle. The place also includes an outdoor shower, hammock and fire pit. It's on a 10-acre lot with a main house, pole barn, blacksmith shed (currently being converted to a kitchen for the tiny house) and a workshop. This property is the home of a skilled woodworker who has built much of what you see on the site. We have another AirBnB rental on the same property. The “Blue Pine” which is located on the back side of the main house. The Lucky Buck is fenced off to provide privacy and allow our separate guests to enjoy their space with minimal intrusions. This is a heavily wooded lot within a one mile walk to the shore of Lake Superior. For those looking for a quiet place, please be aware that along with the sounds of birds, frogs and crickets you may hear the hum of highway 61 and the occasional train whistle in the distance.
If you’re in the mood to get out and about, Two Harbors is 12 miles to the north and Duluth is under 20 miles to the south. There are also many beautiful sites nearby. Gooseberry Falls State Park is just over 20 miles north along the lake. And the famous Split Rock Lighthouse is just 10 more miles north of Gooseberry. There are lots of great hiking trails in the area, including access to the Superior Hiking Trail that traverses from Duluth to Canada. You can also walk to the lake from our place and find a number of little hideaway places to explore along the lakeshore. It's about a mile walk on gravel roads but you do need to cross highway 61 to get there.
  • Solid place to go. Don’t be intimidated by an outdoor shower it works just as good as the rival indoor shower. Good location only a quick drive from Duluth and two harbors.

    Jacob2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • I have wanted to experience a tiny house for years, and this was great! The beds were comfortable and cozy, and the out door fire pit with the strung up lights were a nice touch! Thank you for a wonderful getaway!

    Sasha2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The North Shore has been my favorite place for a few years now, and I wasn’t sure how it could get better, but then I found this tiny house. It’s the perfect alternative to camping, because it allowed us to not worry about lodging but also still be in nature. I needed this break, and I feel truly recharged after spending time in this tiny home away from home!!

    Haley2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • I booked my stay just a few short hours before checking in. Everything was perfect and a charming little stay in the woods!

    Jeannine2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Tiny house is super cute and cozy. The beds are very comfortable. Steven and Jeannie add lots of special touches. It was very cold when we stayed and I was impressed with the little heater in the cabin. We stayed warm all night. I would note that staying in the fall, the bathroom can be very cold. We weren't brave enough to use an outdoor shower in 30 degree temperatures. I'm sure it's a great experience in the summer months.

    Miranda2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very charming place! If you are looking for a simple getaway, this is the place. You really get a good north shore experience, but also super close to all the activity that Duluth has to offer. The best way to describe the listing is a step up from glamping. The tiny house is very cozy and has great amenities. The kitchen and porch they are building will be an amazing addition for future guests. Overall I was very pleased with my stay. The best part about this place is you have so much privacy for such a great price. Highly recommend staying here

    Margaret2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is my third stay at Lucky Buck and I think it gets better every time. Steven and Jeannie have a great place filled with many small, but mindful touches that makes everything even better. You won't regret staying here, ESPECIALLY with the dreamy outdoor shower!

    Kaleigh2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Tiny House is amazing! Steven and Jeannie were fantastic hosts - so kind and easy to communicate with. Great location, great value and lots of fun things to do all around. The cute touches and fun amenities made it extra special. Can't recommend it enough!

  • Amity and Doran’s place was perfect for a quiet getaway in Duluth. It’s located up on the hill close to hiking/biking/snowshoeing trails with great views of the Harbor and lift bridge. The place was clean and quiet and my kind and friendly hosts had lots of ideas for trails and activities nearby. I’ll definitely be back!

    Nancy2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy, very clean space. Not as close as I had expected to restaurants and other amenities.

    Mary Jo2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The space was larger than expected and the perfect size for us to spend the night! The full kitchen was great for making dinner and breakfast and the granola bars and coffee were a nice touch as a supplement. It felt very private from the main house and we loved the views and location!

    Hudson2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay while visiting Duluth. Had everything we needed and was very clean. I would highly recommend to others!

If you're looking for an enchanting getaway, getting lost in the twinkling lights of Duluth, or desire to look over the majestic lake Superior, this loft is for you. Walking distance from Chester park and a few local hiking spots. Close to other Duluth "must see's" such as Hawks ridge, downtown (5-7 min drive) , the port, and even Point Park. This centrally located BnB is perfect for any Duluth adventure you could want. Book today! (And is pet friendly-see below details)
What makes our space unique: This is a quaint 1920's home. The space has been updated but keeps its old home charm. There are unique points of furniture such as our lake superior driftwood coffee table, propagated (grown from a piece of an adult plant) succulents, and a variety of antiques. The biggest drawback of our space is the slanted ceilings. The middle tallest part of the ceiling is 6' 1". I do not want to discourage any of our taller humans from experiencing this cozy space, but would not feel right about not giving any notice! I wish I could make the ceilings higher-however- it has been described as "cozy, quaint, and comfortable". What you have in your Airbnb Loft: -water boiler -toaster oven -electric cooking pan -mini-fridge -6 gallons fresh water (Duluth water is the tastiest water ever!! no lie.) -plates/cups/utensils -bowl with dish soap and sponge (if desired to wash dishes in bnb) -double/full size bed -space heater -ironing board (in closet in living space) -iron (in closet in living space) -bath towels and washcloths -extra blankets (in the black cabinet-not pictured) -TV with built in DVD player (in closet in bedroom) -access to wifi -access to welcome book. You will have a key-locked door at the bottom of the stairs (for peace of mind if you desire to lock up your belongings while you are away) and your bedroom will have a separate lock to it (from the inside). Parking is readily available (usually), free, and on the street. (Will just need to park on same side of street as the other cars- since here in Duluth we have wonky parking rules for snow removal) What is shared: - "the worlds tiniest bathroom" - main kitchen (if you prefer to your private kitchenette) - main living space - dining room -main entrance This is a pet friendly Airbnb. If you are looking to bring your beloved furry friend please see below for pet guest house rules. Side note: We have two lovely pets that are not allowed into the Airbnb space. If you have allergies, the space is cleaned very well between guests and should not be an issue (if you are concerned about the space being hypoallergenic please contact the host to let us know what can make the space a better accommodation for you).
Beautiful residential neighborhood. Hilltop with view of lake superior. Chester park is a 10 minute walk and there are other local trails 5 minute walk from the house. Less than a mile from the College of Saint Scholastica main campus. 10 minute drive from downtown Duluth.
  • Very small but absolutely adorable! Im 5' 7'' and it was pretty cramped so I'm sure my 6 ft partner had an interesting time lol. Pets are very friendly and cute as well 🐶🐱

    Racheal2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was short, as I basically just slept overnight and left in the morning shortly after waking, just one night. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating and it was evident they wanted me to feel at home, which I appreciated very much. The listing's description is quite accurate, no surprises from my perspective. The private room is the entire upstairs area, which really feels like two separate rooms - one with the bed and one with the kitchenette. The stairs are certainly steep, which means each step is short so only the front portion of your foot touches the step, unless you navigate the steps with your feet sideways. And the ceiling is certainly low as described. I'm 5'11" and I mostly moved around crouched, kind of felt like I was in a fort. These things are mentioned in the listing, just providing my experience. I would definitely visit again. :)

    Mark2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • It was so clean, communication was prompt, everything was easy. Thanks!

    Meagan2020-03-07T00:00:00Z

    Megan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

  • Michael and Deanna's place was the cleanest, most outfitted Airbnb experience I have had! Close to ammenities, and close to some of the most beautiful country in the state. We love it up here and this spot will be sure to be on our list for next time.

    Signe2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for our stay, clean, thoughtful touches and information about the local area was exceptional, will definitely be back

  • Cozy place with privacy and quick communication! Will DEFINITELY book again if I'm back in the area! Thank you guys!

    Jarrod2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Mike & Deanna’s place is a great base camp for hunting, fishing, hiking or just plain enjoying the sights. I can’t wait to be back next year.

    John2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was a 10 out of 5 experience and surpassed expectations by quite a bit! Walking in, the the first thing noticed (besides a super clean and cozy, warm open space) was a plate of homemade, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies fresh baked (still warm!) Now I don't eat that much sugar and I'm a cookie snob-but these were excellent!! The thoughtful little surprises just kept getting better, from the super clean well water, to the premium optional freezer food that you could buy (at less than retail price) in case you got hungry (note, there was also complimentary coffee, eggs, tea, etc. as well, not to mention the fresh baked cookies). The beds and blankets were super comfortable, and it was extremely quiet sleeping environment. They really went the whole nine yards to make the experience the best I've had yet at an Airbnb!

  • This was the best AirBnb experience I've had! Nancy and her husband had the fire going when we got there, and they came out to greet us right away! They showed us around and gave us some fun ideas of things to do while we explored Duluth! They were available for anything we needed, and even started the fire for us when we were on our way back from Duluth, so it was nice and warm when we got there! The tiny house was better than expected, and we even had some DELICIOUS pumpkin bread waiting for us. I would love to come back here again in the summer to experience the lake.

    Lexi2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much for such a lovely stay. The cabin was beautiful and warm, perfect for a cozy slow weekend in the snowy woods. Nancy and John were really quick with communication and extremely hospitable and welcoming. We had an amazing stay and hopefully can come back and enjoy it in summer time as well!

    Isabel2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • John has already started the fire for us upon arrival. After we arrived they walked us through the cabin and showed us how to start the fire back up again and gave us a map of hiking trails near by. Great cabin tucked in the woods on the lake, 10/10 would stay here again

    Travis2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second trip to Berrywood Acres and had another great weekend! Such a cute cozy cabin for a winter weekend getaway!

    Natalie2019-11-10T00:00:00Z

Enjoy easy access to world class mountain bike trails, The Superior Hiking Trail, the Lincoln Park craft district, and the natural beauty of Duluth. This bungalow style house, has a private upper level space with a queen bad and enough room to set up an optional cot or portable baby crib(provided upon request).
Guests can expect that their space will be clean, quiet and private. Guests share a bathroom and kitchen with the hosts (two responsible adults and 1 very friendly dog). Feel free to bring food and beverages as you may also cook, make coffee, etc. we just ask that you clean what dishes you make dirty. Even though our dog is very friendly and loves other animals and people, at this time we do not allow pets.
The proximity to Piedmont and Brewer multi-use trails, the Superior Hiking Trail, make this a must stay for an outdoor enthusiast. We are also about 5 minutes from 2 grocery stores including a WholeFoods Co-op and about 15 minutes from the mall area, downtown Duluth, Canal Park/ Park point. If you are a mountain biker I can give you plenty of planned route suggestions and am well connected to the trail condition reports at any time of year.

A smaller pine log cabin (24 ft x 20 ft) with rustic look-and-feel. Only minutes away from Iron River, yet far enough to provide seclusion and variety of recreational opportunities. Perfect for a family with small kids. The cabin sits on a wooded lot; it does not have access to a lake, but there are plenty of lakes around the area to enjoy. We have two decks, one with table and chairs for 4 people. There is a charcoal and gas grill available for you to use as well as a fire-pit with chairs.
We wanted our place to look like a cabin - not a stick frame with log siding, but a real log cabin. That's why we built it ourselves in 2014 with D-shape white pine logs. The cabin is all wood inside. It's small and cozy and just big enough for our family to enjoy when we come visit the area (2 adults and 2 kids). This is our vacation home. We enjoy this area and visit often in the summer.
A wooded lot close to town, yet far enough to experience the Wisconsin wilderness. The skies offer a great view on clear nights, and it's not unusual to hear coyotes howling close by as you're sitting by the campfire.
  • This cozy cabin is a great place to stay when exploring the Bayfield area. The cabin is well built with great use of the space including an outdoor deck with grill and fire pit. The cabin has easy access as the it is right off a road on a beautiful wooded lot. We had to contact Igor and the response time was very quick. We recommend this as a clean nice place to stay. If in the area we will definitely stay again.

    Charlene2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful place and well worth the cost! My husband and I took the grandchildren and we all enjoyed our stay. Location is key! It had everything it claimed and then some. The host was quick to respond to any and all questions. I would stay again and recommend it to all!

    Ann2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great little cabin with beautiful wood interior, and very clean! Nice loft space with twin beds upstairs, and comfy furnishings. Igor was so helpful and kind to offer us an extended day since we were not able to arrive until a day after our reservation began. Would definitely recommend staying here!

    Laurie2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a peaceful cabin in the woods, you found it!! Everything about this place was great! The cabin was perfect, and you couldn't ask for a better location.

    Jessica2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay! It is right on a road, but we didn't even know it once we were inside. The outside area is pretty too! The cabin was really nice and clean with added touches. Igor was great with communication! We had a wonderful stay and if we are in the area again, wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

    Holli2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Igor’s place was great!! It was simple and clean, and close to town. We have family nearby, and it was the perfect place for us to rest our heads! I’d recommend it to anyone looking to spend time in Bayfield Co!

    Kent2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This quaint cabin was perfect for a relaxing weekend. It has everything you’ll need for a nice stay with a bit of cooking, grilling, and sitting by a campfire. If you forgot to bring something, there is a nice little grocery store just a couple of miles away.

    Gina2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin is small, but has everything you could need in a small log cabin. Running water, heat, small kitchenette, comfortable beds, linen & towels, nice fire pit outside & nice patio set to use if weather permits (it was quite cold, so we didn't sit outside much). The cabin décor is great. Communication was prompt (although did not have many issues or need to contact owner except check-in & check-out). A great place to stay! Beautiful area!

Cozy cabin within walking distance ( 1 block) to public beach and boat landing. Very close to local restaurants, bar, store, bank, post office, laundry mat & library. Interior all redone less than two years ago. Sure to enjoy the cabin and the community!
And welcome to the Hartje cabin! For a small town, there is quite a bit to see and do here and in the area. This should help you find your way around. In Lake Nebagamon itself: If you go out the front door & turn left, you’ll see Bridge’s Bar. (They do have live music some nights.) Just to the right of that is Lakelife, which has souvenirs, ice cream, etc. (They are open Sat. & Sun.) From the front of Bridge’s, look left for the swimming beach & dock. At the top of the hill is a Dairy Queen (open during summer months only). Next to that is the Auditorium, then Patti’s Dockside, a bar and restaurant. A little further down is the main boat dock. Turn right from in front of Bridge’s and you’ll see the Chippewa Valley Bank & the post office on your right. Across Hwy. County B is Midland Market Place, the Cenex gas station and convenience store. Next to that is a basketball court and skate park. Up one more block on S. Lake St. and to the right is the laundromat and car wash. In the opposite direction on Hwy B is the Imogene McGrath Memorial Libray, a nice place to pick up a book or log on to a computer. (You can see the back of the library from the front of the cabin.) Next to that is St. Anthony Catholic Church. (There are other churches in town & around the area also.) Down a couple blocks on the right is the Village Inn restaurant. If it is golf you are looking for, there are a couple of courses very nearby, Norwood or Botten's Green Acres, or other in easy driving (no pun intended) distance. And that’s just in Lake Nebagamon! Less than ten miles up Hwy B going east is the town of Brule. In Brule you can dine at Twin Gables Café-Lounge, Round Up North, or the Kro Bar & Grill. You’ll also pass through the Brule River State Forest; great fishing and kayaking/canoeing on the famous Brule River. Go west on Hwy. B to P and you’ll head up to Poplar (Hwy 2), where there is a BP gas station, Ace Hardware store and grocery store. Go back out Hwy. B to Hwy. 53 and you’ll find the Roadhouse & Covered Wagon restaurants and two gas stations. Plenty places to visit within ten miles of the cabin. Want more? Keep going west on Hwy. B and you will arrive at Pattison State Park, a nice place to picnic & view the waterfalls. On Hwy. 2 past Poplar is Amnicon Falls State Park. South on Hwy. 53 will take you to Solon Springs, with a Dollar General store and Lucious Woods County park. Of course, north on Highway 53 will take you to Superior and Duluth. There is too much to see here to even begin to describe. As a taste, there are: • Tall Ship Fest • Blues Fest . Apple Fest • The Whale Back Ship • Richard Bong Memorial • Canal Park Then there is Bayfield, Madeline Island, Hayward, and Iron River in the area. There are dirt track trails and snowmobile trails. Or… in the cabin itself, enjoy local TV, Roku, games, read a book, or just snuggle! Find whatever tickles your fancy. In any case, thanks for staying at our AirB&B. We know you’ll love it and want to come back again!
The cabin is very near the downtown area. Everything you need is within easy walking distance. There is a brochure listing things to see and do in town and in the area.
  • The cabin us very cozy and the location is hard tp beat. The amenities are excellent and the host provided a very generous amount of snacks and breakfast items!! We had a great time!!

  • Mary's place was by far the best Airbnb we have stayed at!

    Heather2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's place is everything described and more. There were a lot of amenities, and it was the perfect size for our small family. It is in a great location, though it was pretty cold, so we didn't get to enjoy the lake this time. We did get to use the provided wood to build a fire to cook some s'mores, which everyone loved. Thank you, Mary, hope to stay again!

    Dan2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our time at this cozy cabin. It was clean, in a good location, and Mary was a great host. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who is interested in staying in the area.

  • We loved staying at Ed's place. It was a larger property than we expected, so that was nice for our dogs and for privacy. Lots of mature trees and beautiful views. The rock fireplace is a work of art. Amenities were also great. It faces west, so sunsets were really nice. It was also not so far from town (Lake Nebagamon) that running in for a grocery item or pizza was no big deal. The two bedrooms are also far from one another, so there's lots of privacy. Ed was laid back and helpful, which we appreciated.

    Kerry2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Second time staying here and it was wonderful. So quiet and peaceful. I almost hate leaving it a good review cause I don't want everybody to know about this great place. Appreciate all the cookware and stuff in the kitchen, it makes it easy to prepare meals.

    David2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful experience! The place was clean, there were lots of kitchen utensils/appliances, and the place was well heated even though it was below zero outside. We brought our 2 dogs and we all felt at home right away. It was a nice retreat and I would definitely return!

Fully private with lock and key. Great location just ten minutes walking to UMD, on bus line, and only a few minutes drive from downtown/Canal Park or the mall area.
The apartment is fully renovated and everything in it is new.
Residential setting great for guests wanting to be close to UMD or CSS. Very close to Hartley nature center and Bagley nature center, both with great trails. Ten minutes walking from grocery store, two convenience stores, library, post office, 6 restaurants, and Starbucks. We can also help with tourist info/planning and can offer local tips.
  • This apartment was very nice. It was clean and personable; a nice place to come back to at the end of the day. There was more noise than I expected; the upstairs people had a dog and I could hear him running around. Still, an excellent place to stay.

    Tessa2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This little basement apartment is new, in a great location and pretty private from the rest of the house. You have a private door to get in this house which was nice. The towels were fluffy, the style of the place was very modern and overall was a great place to stay in Duluth!

  • Our stay here was fantastic! The property was actually much larger than it even appeared in the pictures and the price was great. Kurt and Sarah were incredibly responsive and hospitable, and were very forgiving when we were a little late on check out. The property was very clean, well equipped, and incredibly comfortable. They even left us some treats to enjoy, which was much appreciated. Would absolutely stay here again in the future and recommend it to others! Thanks for the great experience!

    Karly2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was SO cute and was by far the best Airbnb we've stayed in while visiting Duluth. It was private, clean, cozy, and included thoughtful touches and amenities.

    Sara2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and cozy lower level studio apartment that is accessed through a shared entry. The space has an insanely comfortable bed plus lots of thoughtful touches. We didn’t actually do any cooking but it would have been easy in this large, functional kitchenette. The bathroom was clean and inviting. The hosts were responsive and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

    Cassandra2020-01-12T00:00:00Z

  • This place worked perfect for a weekend getaway for my scout troop. The Shabin was nice and toasty and very comfy. We had a blast and would stay there again.

  • Exactly what I hoped for escaping for the weekend. I hung out in the kitchen and front porch area a lot and watched it snow Saturday morning. The snow fort I made next to the picnic table was special to me, and I really had a moment with the alpaca neighbor. Easy walk to Lake Superior and a perfectly equipped tiny house. Cheers to many relaxing 2020 stays in your hunting Shabin!

    Nicholas2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Super cozy & super charming! Loved the wood burning fire place and cute decor! Even in the winter, the place still heated up quickly!

    Bradley2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy space with ample coffee, firewood, and a million blankets. Take a 1.75-mile walk down the road and you'll come across a sweet, secluded Lake Superior beach. The wood stove is the primary source of heat for the cabin -- Troy & Heidi left thoughtful instructions for how to operate it.

Located in the heart of Canal Park, one of Duluths' most vibrant neighborhoods. Steps away from Lake Superior and The Duluth lakewalk, where you will find fantastic restaurants, bars, boutiques, coffee shops, art galleries, and so much more. Room 3 is a cozy room with a queen-sized bed, a small office desk, and a coffee bar.
Luxury suites with a community sauna, a large deck with a fire pit (seasonal) and five rooms available for rent. Our unique building was first a passenger depot and train station. Tied to the historic brewpub, Fitger's Brewhouse, Endion Station Inn will provide vouchers to local craft beer during your stay on the shores of the largest freshwater lake in the world. Spend a day on the water and experience the mighty Lake Superior, our personal favorite of the Great Lakes. Local "brew-tique" decor coupled with comfortable furnishings creates a unique, cozy feel in this five bedroom boutique hotel. All rooms are equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, TV (with cable), a Nespresso machine for slow mornings, clothes iron, hair dryer, private bathrooms with large showers, towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Each room also comes with extra warm blankets for those ultra-cold northern nights. Dog lovers don't have to leave their best friends at home either--you can bring along your dog in rooms 1, 2 and 3 for an additional charge ($25 per dog). Sorry, due to allergies, we do not accept cats. **PLEASE NOTE** Starting in the middle of January the city of Duluth will be having thousands of trucks of stone delivered to the gravel beach directly behind Endion station. They will be used in the shoreline reconstruction project along Canal Park shoreline starting in early spring. This will be between the hours of 9:00am and 7:00pm. We see this as a great opportunity to be one of the first to witness the incredible new Canal Park Shoreline! Please keep this in mind when booking. All parking spots in the lot are available to guests, and free during the winter.
Distance to popular destinations: 0.1 miles to Canal Park // 0.1 miles to The Duluth Lakewalk // 0.4 mile to Duluth Pier Lighthouse // 1.3 miles to Bayfront Festival Park // 10 minute drive to Park Point Beach House // 15 minute drive to Miller Hill mall // 1.5 miles from downtown Duluth // 20 minute drive to DLH Airport
  • My stay at the Endion Inn was wonderful! Rianne communicated all expectations & information well, which made checking in & out a breeze. The room was stylish, pretty and clean, although I would recommend not booking a ground-level room if you’re a light sleeper. Our room was next to the front door, which meant a lot of loud banging throughout the night - but this could also differ depending on the other guests staying at the time of your stay! In addition to the lovely room, the sauna and community fireplace were great bonus features and the location can’t be beat.

    Meg2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Rianne's Airbnb is absolutely amazing!! I didn't realize that was right down in the Canal area - it's the perfect location. The location is quiet and convenient. The sauna is an amazing added plus!! The rooms are much bigger than they seem - plenty of space for two people! This will definitely be my go-to place to stay in Duluth!

    Samantha2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place in a great location. It had everything I needed for my stay. Rianne was responsive and kept the place clean and fully stocked of items I needed. 10/10 would book a stay at Endion Station again in the future.

    Ia2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • A great property in a very good location. The sauna is OUTSTANDING! Rianne does a great job with communication. My unit was pristine when I walked in the door.

Tucked away on 2.5 acres in the middle of Duluth, this one-bedroom cottage has breath-taking panoramic views of Lake Superior, the Aerial Lift bridge and the St. Louis River. With the large property and surrounding trees, the home feels secluded but has wonderful access to hiking and biking trails, parks, beaches and all that downtown Duluth and Canal Park have to offer. License PL 17-099
This property includes two dwellings and guests are welcome to reserve both or just the main home. The main home is a single-level home with an open floor plan and everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay for up to four people. The bedroom has a full-size bed and the living room has a new, very comfortable queen-size sleeper sofa. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom and a washer/dryer. The second dwelling is available as an add-on for groups larger than four or for groups who would simply like a bit more space or privacy. This second cabin is a cute little A-frame about 75 yards away from the main home. It has a double bed in the loft and a double futon down below. The loft is accessed via ladder and so it not suitable for small children or guests with limited mobility. The A-frame is fully wired with electricity and has a ceiling fan, coffee pot, fridge, etc but no running water, just a composting toilet and a 2.5 gallon water dispenser. Adding the A-frame to your booking is an extra $100 a night. Please inquire at the time of booking if you would like to reserve both spaces. Please note that if you choose to only book the main home, we will NOT allow another group to book the A-frame during your stay. Ben, the property owner, may be in the A-frame at times to work on projects when it isn’t occupied by guests. We will notify you in advance if we need to be on the property or in the A-frame.
The unique neighborhood provides complete privacy, tucked in a small wooded area above scenic Skyline Parkway. Enjoy the seclusion while being just a few blocks from downtown and Canal Park!

  • A lovely little oasis at the top of the hill with great views and all you need for a cozy retreat. We hope to stay there again!

    Meg2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I loved this space. It was the perfect spot for my solo get away, but I could see it work equally well as a launching pad for all your Duluth and North Shore adventures. The views of Lake Superior were stunning. I don't think I'd ever tire of seeing the sun come up over the lake. The roads were slushy coming in and Emily and Ben quickly sent an alternative route to make the traveling to their Airbnb easier. Highly recommended.

    Perrin2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ben and Emily's place was perfect! We didn't want to leave! Such a cute space with everything we needed for a relaxing get away. The views are stunning. This was an amazing place to spend some time while exploring Duluth. Thanks for the coffee and thoughtful touches! Highly recommend.

  • This cozy cabin far exceeded our expectations for a girls get away trip in Duluth. Very close to the city but far enough away for peace and quiet. The space itself is lovely - well decorated, clean, and well stocked. We can’t wait to stay again in the summer months.

    Alexandria2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Ben and Emily’s place is so perfect! It was quiet, clean, cozy, and had a spectacular view. They were very communicative and gave us simple instructions for check in and check out. I can’t think of a better place to spend a couple of days recharging in Duluth!

    Woody2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the cottage and hope to be back soon! The view was beautiful and location couldn’t have been better. The cottage felt secluded but was only a 9 minute drive from downtown and Canal Park and only 5 minutes from a grocery store. The space was cozy and we loved having full use of the kitchen and a washer and dryer. The owners were also very responsive whenever we needed anything.

    Kelsey2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Super cozy! The view is as good as it looks in the pictures. Sunrise right over the lake. Lovely little gas fireplace. Nice amenities. And so close to town, while feeling tucked away on the hilltop. You’ll love this place.

  • Is an excellent place to be relax. The cabin is beautiful, super clean and warm. Jason and his dad Scot are excellent host. We had a wonderful time with our family.

  • Great place that we stayed at. Would recommend

    Bee2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • I love staying here! This was my second time at the cabin and will definitely be returning. The space is very clean and had everything we needed to rest up and warm up for a weekend of fishing. It is a perfect space for housing a group of anglers. Lots of comfortable and clean sleeping space, a nice porch for grilling and changing in/out of waders. The kitchen had everything we need to cook three meals/day.

  • A very nice place to stay. We enjoyed our time.

    Trever2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful location on the Brule River with a warm and open cabin feel. Plenty of beds - larger groups share rooms and one bathroom. The hosts make it super easy to find and to get into the cabin, with a full compliment of home amenities. There's local history to read, trophies to admire, fire pit to enjoy, and the river right down the steps! We enjoyed our family visit immensely.

    Becca2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say enough good things about this property. The location was perfect, the hosts helpful, and the cabin itself was exactly what we wanted. We had a fantastic trip to Brule and really enjoyed the local outdoors. We did some hiking, fishing, and even booked a canoe trip while we were there. Used pretty much all of the amenities of the cabin and everything worked great. Hopefully they will have us again in years to come!

    Ryan Nick2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place. Very clean, accessible, and private. The property is huge and within a few minutes of driving to all the lower Brule has to offer. Very recommended.

    Adam2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is everything you would expect and more. They put a lot of thought into what might be needed in a cabin (extra coffee, bug spray, playing cards, extra blankets, among other things). Perfect for a few days away from stress.

Our property was renovated in 2012 as a wedding venue, but our couples loved the Cottage so much they kept asking to come back. It's a cozy one-bedroom house set up against the treeline. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on the private porch, go snowshoeing around Brule River State Forest in the afternoon, then watch a few movies in the evening with your sweetheart. Check out our other listing "Farmhouse at Brule River Barn"
The Cottage is a small cottage with an open living area, single bedroom, and a full bathroom. During the summer months, it serves as a place for couples to stay as they get married on the property. For the rest of the year, it's a quiet hideaway for couples or a small family to get away from it all. We strive for 5 stars, so please let us know right away if anything is amiss so that we may rectify the situation as soon as possible. We want your stay with us to be memorable in the best way possible!
Even though Brule is a town of 600, there's no shortage of things to do. Whether you're drinking coffee on the porch, kayaking the Brule, or shopping in Canal Park, you will never be bored. The Bois Brule ("Burning Wood") River is the best-known river in the Lake Superior watershed. This river is famed especially for its trout fishing, revered for its prolific mayfly and stone fly hatches. The lower river (near Brule, WI) falls 328 feet over 18 miles through the rocky Copper Range region. Here, flashing cascades tumble over rocks and ledges and between steep river bluffs forested with aspen and balsam fir. This makes the Brule especially good for canoeing and kayaking, with a number of available runs that vary from short and flat to longer and more adventurous. Duluth is only 40 minutes from this quiet getaway, and boasts many local shops with unique offerings, as well as a thriving arts and entertainment culture. There are also many top-notch eateries in Duluth. Enjoy Duluth during the day, and relax at the house at night.

  • The cottage is along the ideal Superior scenic highway, just off the road in a little secluded neighborhood with very easy access to Duluth and the many outdoor activities the area has to offer. Inside is spotless, and super cute! The cottage is the ideal getaway location, my wife and I very much enjoyed spending our one year wedding anniversary weekend there this January in the snow!

    William2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect! My wife, 3yr old son and I stayed here for an event happening downtown. It was very clean and had everything you could ask for. It was also in a perfect location which allowed us quick access to downtown Duluth and Two Harbors. I would highly recommend staying with Cassie and Cole as they are very gracious hosts who checked in with us to see if we needed anything.

    Nic2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Cassie & Cole's cabin is truly a gem. It's a great fit for a family of four. Although the owners live about 50 feet away, they'll respect your privacy. We're not as concerned about that, though, and our son enjoyed playing with their dogs. The king bed is a foam mattress, which is a huge plus to anyone used to sleeping on foam. Overall, a delightful place!

Located in the heart of Canal Park, one of Duluths' most vibrant neighborhoods. Steps away from Lake Superior and The Duluth lakewalk, where you will find fantastic restaurants, bars, boutiques, coffee shops, art galleries, and so much more. Room 2 (ADA-accessible) is a bit larger than room 1, with a deck view, large coffee bar, queen-sized bed, pull-out full-sized sofa, and a large bathroom.
Dog lovers don't have to leave their best friends at home either--you can bring along your dog in rooms 2 and 3 for an additional charge ($25 per dog).
Endion Station Inn is located right on the lake walk, in the heart of Canal Park. You will find an abundance of local shops, breweries and restaurants all within walking distance! We encourage walking, biking and enjoying the close hiking trails located towards the end of Park Point.
  • A great location if you have events or business over the DECC to attend. You can walk to the DECC or most places in Canal Park in less than 10min. The room was very cozy with high ceilings and was kept very clean. The large barrel sauna is a great amenity and Nescafe machine was a nice perk, a much better cup of coffee than Keurig IMHO.

    Ben2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a must stay place for Duluth. We loved the quick access to everything we needed and wanted to do! The room was absolutely adorable and sooooo fun! High ceilings and Antique Beer memorabilia scatter through out the room was a perfect touch given Duluth and allll the local brewery’s around. Its wonderful now and it’s going to be even better when all the shore restoration is complete, as they have the boardwalk pulled till the project is complete. We still got out and walked the shoreline. Rianne was quick to respond when we had questions. Check in was easy. Parking was a bit tricky at first but we got it all figured out. Rianne provide a binder with info on the room and local things in town. Thanks again for having us!!

    Erin2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Clean space, could hear another room through the vents which was weird, but would stay again!

    Rj2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The space was perfect size, clean and the outside sauna was a great touch! You are right on the lake and have a great view. Location is perfect— close to restaurants, pubs, etc... lots of options right around the corner. Rianne was very responsive right off the bat and throughout my stay.

    Jillian2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Host was super attentive and very responsive. Very clean and cute room. Sauna was the best part! If you have never been to Duluth, the location is awesome, perfect view of the lake.

Quaint and charming apartment on the backside of a seasonal art gallery/gift shop. Enjoy a much needed break from the hustle, and slow down in the beautiful village of Knife River. There is so much to do outside, but staying in can be cozy too! You're just 12 miles north of Duluth, and 8 miles South of Two Harbors. Surrounded by natural beauty of Lake Superior, Knife River, waterfalls, trails, skiing, fishing, paddling, sailing, or just kicking back.
Please park in front of the two story red/white/tan garage in the back yard, on Central Ave. Turquoise garage is not part of this property. Parking is available in front of building January through May. There is a permanent tenant who lives upstairs.
Emily's Restaurant, Great! Lakes Candy Kitchen, Kendell's Smoked Fish Shop, the Knife River Marina, Knife River Beach, playgrounds, trails, and park. This is an old fishing village, and if you get down to the marina early in the morning, you can spot the commercial fishermen bringing in their herring catch. The Scenic Railroad passes through most weekends, chugging it's steam engine and blowing the horn. Watch the ore docks out in the distance in Lake Superior, or watch sailboats and kayaks near the shore.
  • Michelle was accomadating and a great commuter. Lots of artistic touches and excellent location. Would certainly come back!

  • It met all 3 C’s- clean, cozy, comfortable. Would stay here again. I appreciated the affordability as well, it can be pretty cost prohibitive to visit the north shore as much as I would like but places like this help me enjoy my favorite place on earth without charging an exorbitant fee to do it.

  • Michelle’s place is cute and cozy. It has a lived in feel with lots of decorations and art. You’ll find a few lovely amenities like puzzles, books, and a fully stocked kitchen (including a juicer?!). Worth checking out her shop next door if you’re interested in handmade jewelry and art. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful space for a weekend or trip to the North Shore.

  • This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here, and it was just as wonderful as the first! Michelle is a wonderful host, quick to communicate and full of tips and ideas for places to eat, hike, and visit. She's so kind and friendly. The apartment is charming and cozy, perfect for snuggling by the fire, cooking tasty meals, and a great jumping off point for enjoying the North Shore. Highly recommended!

  • Our stay at Superior Bay was wonderful! We were impressed with the coziness and the thoughtfulness of each item. The keypad entrance made it smooth when we got to the location. We had everything we needed in the room. It was also a close location to Canal Park, where we went a few times. We would definitely stay again!

  • I highly recommend staying here. Bill was attentive and had great communication. It was fun reading through the guestbook and seeing the stories from other people that stayed. We had a weekend trip here and it was just want we needed. Spent time outside, went golfing, enjoyed the grill, hopped in the mouth of the river. All in all everything was great.

  • This cabin is nestled in a private setting with gorgeous views and ample access to all nature has to provide. The house is immaculate, well appointed and the hosts were gracious in answering questions about local fishing. Bill even was kind enough to leave my husband a fishing rod and reels! Anyone seeking a respite from the intrusions of daily life should seek out this beautiful home and environment---we loved it. Only downside was that we didn't stay longer.
