  • This was our third visit to Luckenbach Lodge. Our cabin was spotlessly clean and was the perfect place to stay so we could easily get to and from the shows at Luckenbach Dance Hall. We can't wait to go back!

Take a step back in time in this Fredericksburg landmark. Built in the 1940's, Hotel Kitsmiller on Main has been around for much of Fredericksburg's storied past. Originally a motor court, it's is a throwback to the days of old and a simpler time.
All of our units have a laid back retro vibe and are equipped with all the modern day amenities your heart desires. Every room has a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, WiFi, and flat screen TV with on demand cable. We have an ice box on site for guest use and complimentary parking is available close to your room. There is a communal patio out back with tables and chairs underneath stringed lights and a beautiful view of the Texas hill country (and maybe even a goat or two)!
  • Matt was super responsive when we needed a last minute place to stay. The bed was comfortable and room was cute.

  • Great stay! Would highly recommend!

    Gabrielle2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The room was perfect, exactly what we wanted: a simple, clean, comfy room to stay for the night while exploring all around Fredericksburg. Hotel Kitsmiller was close enough to walk to Main St. and explore the downtown area. Check-in was a breeze and parking right outside the room was ideal! Thanks for the hospitality and I will definitely keep Hotel Kitsmiller in mind for future visits and I will definitely pass on the word to friends and family about it, too!

We are located in the beautiful Pedernales River Valley 5 miles from town on the 290 wine run. These are lovely new cabins located in a quiet subdivision. We have a manager on site out of view to help with any issues that you may need. Also have another cabin, Copper Star Kabine for 4 people..https://airbnb.com/h/hauskabinecopperstar
We are Cindy and Mike. Founders of Alamo Springs Cafe and are quite knowledgeable about the area. We have dogs on property that are talkative and roam freely. We will have treats for you to give them. We have walkie talkies in the laundry room down the path to reach our manager for assistance or if you need us for any reason. We have a firepit with the cabin for use.
We are located on the very popular 290 wine run. You will have no issues finding things to do.
  • Lovely space to stay! Love it here.

  • This is a beautiful, sparkling clean cabin in a wooded setting out in the country. Outside was quiet and beautiful. We built a fire with the wood and things supplied by the host. Inside the cabin is beautiful and well appointed. Some juice, coffee and creamer, cereal and other things were provided that just gives that welcoming, you’re my guest feeling. We will definitely stay again and would highly recommend it to any other couple.

    Karmin2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is super cute and clean! It's a few minutes from town which makes it quiet and peaceful. There is a fire pit, which we didn't have time to use, but everything was provided to make a fire and grill your dinner if you like. Cindy left us several items for a light breakfast -- cereal, pastries, yogurt, milk, juice, coffee. We had everything we needed!

    Mike2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time staying at the cabins (we stayed in their other one last time) and it really is the best place to stay in Fredericksburg. You’re right in the middle of all the wineries and town. The cabins are extremely clean, cute, and loaded with literally everything you need down to the milk and cereal. We will ALWAYS stay here anytime we come to Fredericksburg.

    Donald2020-03-13T00:00:00Z

  • Great location off Main Street, with an easy walk. Very well-maintained property and super clean room with all the basic amenities plus a microwave, fridge and coffee maker in the room. Continental breakfast in the office had wide variety of items. Also, enjoyed a complimentary bottle of wine on our porch after dinner in town, and the water was convenient on our hike. We would definitely return! Thanks, Brett and staff!

Feel at home in this newly built rustic style guest house in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Just a short trip to the many local wineries and peach stands in Gillespie County, along with the well known Fredericksburg Main Street. Whether you're here to see the local sights or just to get away and enjoy some peace and quite, this is the perfect place to stay. Also located on this property is a family owned, seasonal, custom deer processing ideal for anyone coming to deer hunt.
Private drive and 2 car parking. This guest house shares property with Stonewall Smokehouse, which is a family owned, seasonal custom deer processing. Business hours are November to the end of February.
Wonderful town and a short distance to wineries and shopping, hiking and sight seeing.
  • We love The Sheds. It has become our “go to” when we are in the area.

    Mary2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was better than expected. Really, really enjoyed our stay. We didn't do much TV, so the lack of channels was not a big deal. Sipping wine by firelight and starlight was pretty romantic. We both loved the rustic feel and the cleanliness.

    Kevin2020-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful place for my husband and I to stay with our dog. It was very pet friendly, peaceful, clean, and spacious! It was also a very short drive to wineries, Luckenbach, and Fredericksburg. We will definitely stay here again!

    Austin2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cedar, country themed barn. Peaceful and beautiful scenery. Perfect for our weekend between Fredericksburg and Luckenbock.

    Skylar2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We booked the shed for a quick weekend getaway and it was absolutely perfect for the two of us and our two dogs. It was very homey and very clean. It was just far out enough in the country but still very close to Fredericksburg and a ton of wineries. It was very peaceful and quite with our sheep and cow neighbors. The only issue we had was the neighbors had their dogs left out in a cage seemingly 24/7, so when we took our dogs out there was a lot of barking. We loved the shed though and we will be booking again if we make another trip to Fredericksburg!

    Holly2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at The Shed. It was so stylish and clean. It was very peaceful being just outside of town and still close enough to all the attractions.

    Renee2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Erin’s place was a homey shed that we fell in love with. The atmosphere was phenomenal and she definitely put a lot of though into extras to make us feel at home. The firewood and the fire pit was a great treat at the end of each day. We didn’t have a dog sitter so being able to bring our dogs and having specific bowl and potty areas for them was a special touch. We come to this area once a year and I think we have found our new spot to stay each time!! Amazing place at a great price!

    Joseph2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

  • Great place, quiet, very clean and not to close or to far from town. Beautiful view with wildlife. I will be booking this place again.

    Robbie2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. It is just outside of town and the stars were clear and bright. You certainly don't get that in town.

    Stacey2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, lovely, lovely. It is a very nicely attended-to casita. The setting is wonderful! Big stars, deer and the gobble of turkeys. Great and gracious hosts. Thoughtful touches like bottled water and plenty of towels. We will be back when the larger house is finished.

    Melissa2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Leonardo’s home was amazing to stay at. It was far enough away from the town to do some star gazing and close enough to grab some delicious food. Leonardo was very accommodating and even worked hard to allow an early check in! Can’t wait to come back to book this place again!!

This cozy cabin is surrounded by a wraparound, private deck. The cabin is a separate building, 3 miles from Fredericksburg in a country setting. See pictures for amenities, no cooking, kitchenette only. We are pet friendly, but small, so dogs over 15 pounds can be accommodated in our climate controlled kennel. (See pictures) Guests should query me so that I can a $20 fee, nonrefundable to accommodate any pets either in the kennel or in the cabin due to extra cleaning fees.
The pavement ends at Live Oak Road. As you travel the rugged Arlt Lane you will feel as if you are much further than 3 miles from our bustling Main Street. There’s livestock, including longhorns, deer, and the music of birdsong. If it’s evening you may glimpse a stealthy fox or a bumbling armadillo. The gate will be open in a big Texas welcome. However our visitors won’t need their cowboy boots to enjoy the view, for there’s a spacious deck from which to enjoy the country life and our dark star-filled skies.
  • I loved this place! So relaxing and beautiful. Clean, great amenities, especially the patio! I loved the horses, the land, and the quiet! Definitely recommend.

    Emily2020-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot with authentic and homey qualities with access to nature. Friendly hosts!

    Rebecca2020-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Best place in Fredericksburg! Beautiful, serene, private ranch with tons of walking space and livestock to admire. Host Mara was such a lovely person, so kind and helpful and so was her husband, Rick. The cottage is darling, sparkling clean and furnished with love and care, with the comfort of guests absolutely paramount. My little pug and myself really enjoyed having wine on the private patio and watching the two beautiful horses. PLUS, this perfect property is the best of both worlds...totally country and seemingly secluded...but less than 10 minutes from town!! STAY HERE. You WILL NOT be disappointed! We can't wait to return. Thanks so much, Mara!!

    Jennifer2020-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to get away! The dogs are super nice and friendly. You can hear birds singing and cattle moo-ing from the porch.

    Jeffrey2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was excellent! It was very clean and she communicated with us on our arrival time so that she could leave the lights on. It was very quiet and relaxing after being in town all day! Will definitely stay here again!

    Ashley2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay if you need a quick get-away like I did! Thanks, Mara.

  • The epitome of a romantic getaway with more than enough farmhouse charm for us. We stayed two nights for our honeymoon and could not have asked for anything better. Clean, great amenities, and just a short drive into town. Can't wait to go back!

    Adam2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the place because it felt so peaceful and remote despite being right outside of town. Great place to spend our 10 month anniversary and Kari was such an amazing host! She provided answers to questions very quickly and helped meet some special requests from us while we were staying there. We will definitely recommend the place to our friends and family!

    John2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • FIVE STARS!! This is the quintessential "romantic cabin in the woods" and we were beyond thrilled with our super charming, cozy digs! Every thoughtful touch you can imagine was offered (our favorites: the farm fresh eggs on the fireplace hearth and sparkling wine). The cabin has a large front porch with a swing overlooking a small tributary/river. The property is very large and remote which offers a really quiet and peaceful experience. We slept like babies in the super comfy big king-sized bed. There is a jetted tub (plenty of room for two) and nice shower with great water pressure. The internet is strong (unlike many of the Air bnb properties we've experienced), and we appreciated the two luggage racks at the foot of the bed (again, a very useful and necessary item that many hosts don't provide). If you are so inclined, you can watch TV from the bed or cozy loveseat (Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, etc). Kari also provided us with a nice list of wineries and restaurants to check out. We especially enjoyed going to William Chris Winery (off 290) where we had a fantastic bottle of Rose next to a firepit and listened to live music. It was a perfect afternoon. There is a LOT to see and do in Frederickburg and we wish we'd stayed longer. Just a fantastic stay and we will definitely be back. Thank you Kari!!

  • The place was great! Perfect little getaway for me and my boyfriend. I was more than amazed how it looked; exactly like the pictures, to a T. We wanted to stay forever, to be honest. That’s how comfortable it was. Very close to Main Street. Which has all the things to do, night and day. Definitely will be back. How much for the house??😉 kidding....thank you so much Kari!❤️

  • This house is located right outside of town, but right in the middle of the wineries. You are next to the other two rentals, but we never heard a peep out of either of them. The fenced in courtyard with the hot tub was a nice way to wrap up the day.

  • The hot tub was nice and private, the bed was comfortable (I have stayed in AirBNBs where the mattresses were not - and this one was great). There were lots of upgraded finishes and nice touches, such as a high quality quilt on the bed. Great for a private romantic getaway!

The bed is comfy, the bathroom well-stocked, lots of coffee and snacks, and best of all, quiet. Great communication, excellent local recommendations, and ... did I mention QUIET? Thank you, Mary!

  • Awesome place for a weekend get away. Short drive to main st. Great place to sit in the morning and drink coffee and watch the wildlife in the field. Highly recommend!

  • Great cottage for a weekend trip, a little out of the way

    Lucas2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our two night stay at Mary's place. The amenities: cookies, chocolates, juices, and hot drinks were very welcoming. The cottage is situated beside a meadow which was visited by five deer during our stay. It was so restful sitting at the outside table and chairs, enjoying nature!

12 minute walk to the center of town in a quiet residential neighborhood. Barn style cabin built 2018 with a deck looking over Barons Creek. The deck and roof attach to my residence but there are separate entrances for guests. You can hang out on my creekside patio or in the hammock. City of Fredericksburg Permit # FBGTX-17039.
The Canoe Barn is made of Ponderosa pine with cedar beams. Floor is finished concrete. The deck will be your favorite place to hang out in Fredericksburg. Barons Creek flows through the back yard. Anything you need to cook which isn’t provided I probably have, just let me know what you need. Washer/dryer/iron/ironing board are in my kitchen, just inside the door from the back deck.
This old neighborhood is a 12 minute walk from the heart of downtown. Because we are in a bend in the creek, this block is quite short and the street does not connect to other blocks on either end.
  • This location and room was perfectly as described. Just beautiful, quiet, and close to everything. Robert is an incredible host who is quick to respond and give tips on local sites/dining. This weekend was perfect. We will be back!

  • Perfect little getaway! Quiet and peaceful

    Cristelle2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Fredericksburg was fantastic. The location was perfect for hiking at enchanted rock and for enjoying the amenities of downtown. Robert was a wonderful host full of amazing stories.

  • Awesome place, sparkling clean with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. Great location and Robert offered much advice of the area. Anyone staying there should take advantage of the knowledge that Robert possesses to enhance their stay.

  • You will live staying in the Canoe Barn! Robert is the best host!

    Ron2020-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Canoe Barn is perfect place for a get away. It's located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the downtown historic district of Fredericksburg. The "barn" is comfortable, extremely clean with all the amenities you will need to feel at home. Robert is a perfect host with extensive knowledge of the area and things to do and see.

    Barbara2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Robert’s hospitality is without equal. The room was immaculate and came with more than I would have expected. It’s so centrally locates to downtown Fredericksburg your never more than a mile away from anywhere you want to go. Anytime I come back into town this is where I’ll be staying. There’s a reason he’s usually booked 3 months solid in advance.

  • Amazing place!! Perfect for a quiet getaway! Everything you could expect and need! James is the perfect host!

    Reka2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely love Absolute Repose! We spent my husband’s birthday out at this great place and it was totally perfect! The house is spotlessly clean and the fridge is fully stocked with almost everything you would want to kick off a great holiday (eggs, OJ, bacon, coffee pods, and tons more). James is one of the best hosts we’ve ever had (and we’ve had many). Lovely place with amazing service! The house is perfectly situated between Fredericksburg and Johnson City. Close to tons of wine, food, and entertainment, while still being remote. James will send you a really good list of things to do and they are all spot-on suggestions. Don’t hesitate to book this place – you won’t be sorry! One last thing, there’s a pond with fish and James provides fish food! SO fun to feed them!

    Sandy2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Absolute Repose is wonderful! It is clean, contemporary, and perfectly furnished for all your needs. The deck and views from it are fabulous. James is a proactive host who anticipated all of our needs. I highly recommend Absolute Repose and look forward to staying here again.

    Lisa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is our THIRD time renting James AirBnB and cannot speak highly enough of what a consistently enjoyable experience it is every time. James attention to detail with how everything is laid out makes your stay easy and very manageable even though you are out in the country. The location is far enough to be unplugged while still within driving distance of interesting activities. I can very easily recommend this place to anyone wishing a nice getaway but with all the modern conveniences to make your stay stress free.

    Alvin2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is the place you always look for. It was simply perfect!

    Jeff2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Absolute Repose feels brand new, and James has added perfect touches of hospitality. He communicated very quickly and thoroughly, and he gave us lots of suggestions of things to see and do. Seamless check-in and -out. The view from the kitchen of the sunrise was breathtaking. Location is near Hye Rum, Hye Cider and lots of wineries. Hye Dance Hall and Albert Dance Hall are both very close, too!

  • The room we stayed in was very clean and accurate. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you are a light sleeper, since the walls are very thin. We could hear everything going on in the rooms next to us. Overall the experience here was great and just what we needed for a one night stay!

    Brittaney2019-11-17T00:00:00Z

Almost no light pollution made for great stargazing. Tamara was available for questions as needed but gave us our space. Well done. Would recommend and would stay again.

Authentic Glamping in a converted barn! Glamping is like camping + AC/heat, and all the supplies needed for an enjoyable adventure included. Full kitchen, seasonal stock tank pool, outdoor theatre, minutes to downtown Fred, and 1 mi to Luckenbach. What else could you need! Pick your own eggs! Book a trail ride while you’re here! Rustic + unique, we can’t wait to see you! Every stay helps save more horses from slaughter.
Like no place else! Experience REAL Glamping in Fredericksburg/Luckenbach and true authenticity. Our place was thoughtfully put together after the old Luckenbach bar interior (and we nailed it! Just sayin) Go check it out 1 mile down the road and you’ll agree! Our Glamping barn is unreplicable, totally unique, and nothing like the sterile impersonal new-build cabins that all seem to be the same. Who would enjoy Glamping? The city dweller looking to escape and unwind, the country dweller that’s looking for a unique country experience outside of what they do day to day. The Star-gazer looking for dark skies in the Texas Hill Country. The Fredericksburg tourist looking for something other than a “traditional bnb”. Luckenbach bands. The horse lover! Grandmas/Grandpas, kids, all generations, anyone looking to HAVE FUN! Glamping at its best in an old barn- We’re your all-in-one Airbnb lodging + experience! The feel is very much like a beautiful rustic cabin (except this is Glamping remember). It’s like the outdoors turned inside out! Our barn is converted with large guest quarters. The interior is finished with completely reclaimed materials “Junk Gypsy” style- so it’s very rustic, comfortable, charming, unique, and eco-friendly! You’ll get the 1000sq ft converted barn, 800sq ft covered outdoor space, and the best TX sunrise views you could ever hope for of the horse pasture out front! 7 minutes to Fredericksburg, 2 minutes to Wine Road 290, and just 1 mile to Luckenbach. We’re at the heart of it all! Located on a historic ranch where we rescue Kill Pen Horses bound for slaughter in Mexico. Every guest stay helps us rescue more US horses from slaughter. Inside- large full kitchen and dining room, with wood-burning stove. Play Chicken sh!t Bingo in the open dining area! (Yes, I just said that- and it’s FUN. Catch your own chicken outside) **COFFEE SITUATION- as of 5/5/20 we have a Keurig coffee machine. I provide enough Kcups to get you started, but you may want to bring more depending on your coffee preference and how much coffee you drink. Also recommend bringing whatever else you like in coffee. I provide some coffee to get you started and Stevia sweetener. There’s also a smoke room just off the kitchen perfect for storing ice chests. (We use it to smoke meats in winter) Two bedrooms each with a memory foam bed. Bedroom 2 has enough room to put up a cot or air mattress if needed. It is long and narrow with two entrances. Bedroom 1 is spacious but cozy with beautiful views out two windows. Birdwatching is spectacular out the north window where you’ll view your own private deer feeder just right for watching all sorts of wildlife! The living room has a den-like atmosphere and is perfect for a cozy game night or a little relaxing around the TV. An electric fireplace adds the cozy with the touch of a button! A leather couch, stately leather recliner, leather love seat, and antique rocking chair provide enough seating for 6-7. The full bath is tiny but chock-full of amazing details! The sink faucet light runs off of hydro-electricity when the water is turned on! The 6’ clawfoot tub was made in 1896 for a Bordello (house of “Ladies of the Night”) in New Braunfels, TX. You can still see parts of her pastel blue sides. The tub/shower faucet is a custom Industrial design made from reclaimed copper, complete with a rain shower head! The full kitchen/dining has HUGE 17’ vaulted ceilings and reclaimed timber wall, large fridge, antique 1941 electric stove (her name is Ethel), large 1912 sink, and 100+ year old butcher block countertops salvaged from the old butcher shop in town. The interior has painted cement floors throughout, and a mini-split AC. Bedroom doorways have curtains for privacy while letting the AC keep everything a comfortable temperature. Outside, you’ll be amazed at ALL THE SPACE underneath the covered sitting area. An 8ft filtered custom Stock Tank lounge pool is perfect to relax with a drink. Enjoy a movie on the 120” outdoor theatre screen! Plug in the projector and DVD player, you’re ready for outdoor movie night farm style! Bring popcorn and chairs or sit on hay bales! The space is perfect for a party, or just sharing around a campfire with your friends! A large charcoal or wood BBQ is just what you need to create the perfect supper after hitting the Wine Trail and distilleries all day. Sit on hay bales, bring a guitar! (Bring extra chairs if hay benches aren’t your thing) Pitch Washers in the Washer Holes! Did I mention how AWESOME the sunrises are out here? They’re AWESOME! Your very own pen of Pygmy goats is just waiting for you to get out your yoga mat and do some goat yoga with you! The chickens occasionally like to join as well. It’s an experience in itself! Be ready for Instagram worthy posts! Collect your own eggs for breakfast out in the chicken coop (do this the afternoon before). No guarantees how many eggs you’ll pick, take that up with Henny Penny and her hen friends. You may even get a duck egg if you’re lucky! Enjoy watching the horses out front. Take a little walk up the old road back behind the Barn. There’s a little trail skimming the fence line that circles back to the Barn taking you through a little patch of forest. If you’re here during the right time, there may even be Wild Mustang Grapes to pick along that trail! What is “Glamping”? Glamping is a hybrid word, glamorous+camping. There can be many interpretations of this term, but the common thread of Glamping is this- integrating the outdoors, nature, animals, wildlife, INSIDE with many of the comforts of indoors OUTSIDE. It’s kind of like camping and lodging turned inside out! Try our style of Glamping, and we encourage you to try others’ all over the world! It’s a thing y’all- and it’s here to stay. We know you’ll love it out here and have an unforgettable time! We can’t wait to see you! THERE IS NO WIFI BUT YOU’LL FIND THE BEST CONNECTION ; ) **Note on WiFi- there is NO WiFi out here for two reasons. 1) you cannot get a reliable WiFi signal inside a completely metal barn. It’s just not gonna happen. 2) The constant EMF’s emitted by WiFi are horrible for your health, animal health, and sleep. Be prepared to have a WiFi detox out here! Your health (and sleep) will thank you for it. Every stay helps our horse rescue! Over 100,000 American horses are shipped per year to Mexico and Canada for slaughter, and then consumed by Europe or Canada. Just staying at our Glamping Barn helps bring awareness to our cause. While we can’t possibly save 100,000 horses all ourselves, it makes a HUGE difference to each horse we have saved, and those we fundraise for that get adopted by loving homes.
We live in the middle of hay fields and forests on a working ranch, but we’re just 1.5 miles to Luckenbach! Downtown Fred is 7 miles, “Wine Road 290” is 2 miles from us. Altstadt German Brewery is 2.8 miles from us. Stargazing is spectacular out here, and the sunrises are breathtaking! We also host two small campgrounds on our farm, so you may see the glow of little campfires here and there as you drive up to the barn.
  • We had an amazing stay here. Such a beautiful space and a great get away in the country. It was so fun to be around all the animals. My daughter had the best time. We hope to come back soon

    Jillian2020-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Rozanna’s is a little piece of paradise. You feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere but it is still close enough to town to have anything you need available. It was awesome waking up to the goats and chickens outside your door. You can go in the pen with them. They are super sweet and cute. And being able to go in and get fresh eggs in the morning was fabulous!

    Debra2020-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Yes, just go there! I was solo and the animals kept me very entertained. Just soaking in the bathtub was worth the drive! I arrived to a couple of eggs in the refrigerator (thank you, because I don't know how that works). Everything was easy to find, and as a female solo traveler, I never had a second thought about my safety. The goats and chickens seemed to love corn tortillas, and we're always up for a chat. Very clean with insanely comfortable beds. I will most definitely go there again!

    Sylvia2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • I’ll be back. The ranch is a beautiful, unique environment. Roxanna is a great human being and her husband is very creative and utilitarian. First time I’ve slept in a barn but this one is comfortable, pleasant and surprising. You can even go horseback riding on the same ranch with Roxanne as your guide. She actually rescues retired trail horses from being slaughtered for the export of horse meat. Stay here when you’re in the Fredericksburg area. You’ll never forget it.

    William2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in the middle of a chaotic and uncertain time. It was a great space for a family of 3, including the teenager. Buttons and Bingo [the friendly goats] were awesome. It was cool to wake up and meet some horses right out the front door. One horse came to greet our wise old dog, who was also interested until the horse gently touched noses and parts of her back in greeting. Then, our dog decided it was better to watch the horse from behind dad. :) The birds were funny, but be ready for a rooster wake up call. Fresh eggs were delicious. We had a great time, and even the teenager liked it!

    Lindsey2020-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • WE LOVED IT HERE! Would definitely recommend this spot to others traveling to Fredericksburg. It was the perfect size for my boyfriend and I. We really loved the backyard/patio set up. The only thing we didn't like was how close it was to the road. Thankfully you couldn't hear cars from the bedroom but everywhere else it was faint.

    Kathleen2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay if you want to be close to some awesome local wineries! Beautiful space and makes for such a fun trip.

    Cara2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Private hot tub with tv was AMAZING! So clean, so stylish, so homey! We will totally be staying here again!!!

    Lindsay2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is the perfect romantic getaway location that is just outside the city limits. You are close enough to drive into town everyday but out of town enough to enjoy the country side, plus you are surrounded by tons of wineries! It is super clean and super cozy. You can tell they put lots of thought into every detail. Even though the unit is close to the road , you do notice the highway noise but it dies down at night and you can’t really hear it in the bedroom. We plan on booking this place again for our next trip to Fredericksburg.

We loved wine tasting and heading back to this lovely home. Coffee in the mornings outside was delightful! We want to come back when peaches are in season!

  • We loved this place so much we ended up staying an extra night! Caroline suggestions were on point! We went to as many places as we could and the drive to Fredericksburg from the cabin is so beautiful we didn’t want to leave! Thank you guys for an awesome stay!

  • Loved the sweetness of the host!!

    Debra2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space! We loved our time in hill country and were so comfortable in this space. What a great place to recharge and get away! We’ve had some bad luck with air B and B before and have been let down with spaces over and over again; Caroline and Matt have made an amazing space that lives up to expectations and then some! They were very easy to communicate with and so accommodating. Will be back for sure!

    Amelia2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect quiet cabin for couples young and old. It was a great way for my husband and I to disconnect from everyday stresses and enjoy nature as well as each other (without our teenage boys)! The cabin is just as described and the pictures are spot on. The cabin is cute with a rustic charm and the small details (like fresh flowers) sporadicly placed around the cabin were a nice touch. The back porch is a great place to sit and enjoy nature (yes we had several deer walk thru) and watch the sunrise.....simply beautiful! At night you are away from the city lights and the stars are brighter than I’ve ever seen. There’s a fire pit and a grill on the side of the cabin. We did not get to use the fire pit due to burn ban in effect. The cabin is centrally located between Fredericksburg and Luckenbach (which we went to both). Caroline and Matt are great hosts and super quick to respond. They gave us some great suggestions on places to eat and/or grab an adult beverage. My husband and I can’t wait to come back!!!

    Kristie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderfully peaceful setting, very clean, and Caroline had many thoughtful touches throughout the cabin. Would definitely stay again!

Located just over 2 miles from the center of downtown Fredericksburg, my home offers the convenience of being just a few minutes from all of the attractions of downtown while also being able to enjoy a quiet and relaxing space that gives the impression of being in the country. Our guests particularly enjoy the outdoor space where with plentiful seating and a chiminea for those chillier evenings.

The Pot-Belly Stove Cottage is ideal for any couple. You will enjoy the cottage's private entry and stone-laid patio shaded by oaks. Relax on the tree hung swing by the small pond and watch the deer come to feed. Enjoy Fredericksburg's extraordinary sunsets and stroll along the country roads and relax under the peaceful star filled nights. You will find the Pot-Belly Stove Cottage your home away from home, surrounded by peace and quiet, the perfect place to get away from it all.
  • This cozy cottage is a must stay for the perfect weekend getaway and is very close to Main Street!

  • Everything was great

    Jocelyn2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was truly an amazing experience. It was the perfect space and so charming and cozy! We really appreciated the snacks and drinks they had for us and loved all the little touches throughout, like the guest book with notes from previous stays and the wood to start the potbelly stove fireplace. It was super close to town, yet far away enough to feel peaceful and quiet. There are tons of deer in the area (we saw a lot driving to and from the cottage and they even leave you some corn to feed them if you want to) I would highly recommend staying here to anyone who is looking and I can’t wait to come back myself!

    Jade2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • We loved everything about our stay! This was our first wedding anniversary that I wasn’t pregnant and it was everything I could have wanted for our couples getaway. Thank you so much for the hospitality. I think the only thing that would have improved our stay is more cooperative weather :) Lovely spot. We will be back.

Still hosting during Covid. Updated master bedroom suit with private entrance. Two blocks from Main and War Museum, Otto's, and Tubby's. Great location to explore FBG on foot. Private little entrance area with a 380 SF room. Shared walls (insulated) with one other full BNB apartment and my house. Extra long soaking tub and large walk-in shower with a traditional wall shower plus a rain head. Off street parking and fire pit in the front. Check out Casa Tranquila for more space!
The room is the old guest/master bedroom of the main house that I live in and has been newly remodeled. The private access is from the rear of the house. There is a little space to dine-in if you wish or do a little work if you need. There is a large coffee pot, with coffee and tea provided. Also a microwave and mini fridge in the kitchenette area. The mini fridge has a small separate freezer. The bathroom has an open design with a curb-less shower. The tub is in the corner and extra long and deep for soaking! There are a few items not finished such as the counter top but you won't hardly notice the temporary one! Landscaping is still progressively happening also. There is a shared wall with another Air BNB unit. The other shared wall is that attached to my house - My personal office is next door so little or no noise. There is a double commuting door that is only used when I have personal guests. The door is not accessible during stay and fully locked on both sides/both doors. Fire pit is a fun place to unwind after a long day. Also the back area is all your's to use. It is a great jumping of place to hit all the Hill Country has to offer at a great price. STR# FBGTX 14482
Nice neighborhood especially at night. Side street gets a little busy during day but its all local traffic avoiding main street. The bedroom is not against any street and very quiet. Schubert street is great to walk-down and I know most of our neighbors.
  • Great place to stay in Fredericksburg! Location is ideal. Very clean, comfortable. Outstanding bathroom! We really enjoyed our stay!

  • This was our second time staying with Kelly and we love it! Everything is perfect and very quick with responses and help getting around!

    Meghan2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly's place was great. The location is walk-able to Main Street but there also was a row of bars/restaurants only 2 blocks away that were really cool I'd recommend checking out. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was HUGE. Nice touches to the place like coffee. As Kelly stated, we were connected to another AirBNB separated by a wall. Heard a small amount of noise but you'd hear the same thing if were you staying at a hotel and it was never too loud to fall asleep or anything like that. We just turned on the fan. Kelly was super fast to respond to a few questions that arose and overall we had a great stay.

    Matthew2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly's place was perfect! Very clean, comfortable, and amazing location. Would recommend this place to anyone.

La Paloma on Centre is located 6 blocks from Main Street, which is the hub of our little town. Marktplatz, shopping, wine shops and restaurants are all within safe walking distance. Enchanted Rock is just a 15 minute drive out FM 965. Mid century modern style will surround and delight you while you are here. Come to enjoy and relax.
The house is filled with all things I love. Carefully collected, some things are new to me, some I have had for years. In my retail life, I also sold mid century home and gift items, and this is my new outlet for them. I collect, change and re-arrange all the time, drives my husband crazy at times. Just next door at our house, you might see my children playing, the Silkie chickens scratching around, and Copper our lumbering loveable Goldendoodle.
We are in the heart of the old neighborhood. The neighbors are wonderful and friendly, you will often catch use visiting in the front yard or walking across the street to chat.
  • This place is perfect for a weekend getaway! House is decorated super cute and cozy. La Paloma is walking distance from Main Street. Would love to stay again!

Unfortunately do to limited space we can only hold up to 50 people for an event. We do provide the tables, black chairs and white tablecloths. Thanks~
Wonderful out door spaces, walking trails, and being so close to town. If feels like we live out in the country but only 5 to 10 min drive to the store is wonderful.

For the safety and protection of our guests and cleaning staff, we have implemented enhanced cleaning procedures as recommended by Airbnb, which includes a 24-hour buffer after a guest checks out to ventilate the unit, wearing gloves, washing hands before & after cleaning, clean then disinfect with at least 70% alcohol, cleaning soft surfaces, using heat settings for laundry and checking expiration date of cleaning supplies.
Pardon our progress - We've taken advantage of this time to do property improvements including a new septic system. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to return the beauty of our country property as soon as possible. In Sonnen Haus, the perfect weekend awaits you. At 400 square fee, it includes a small living room and kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator stocked with take-one-leave-one beers, microwave, toaster oven, portable countertop burners, pots, dinnerware, glassware, and silverware. Brew your morning cup of joe in the Keurig single-cup coffee maker (K-cups, sweetener and creamer provided). The home includes a private bedroom with queen bed and a bathroom featuring a walk-in shower, small open closet and hangers. Basic toiletries provided include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hair dryer, hair spray, facial cleanser, and a basic first aid kit. Grab a book from the small library or read your own on the private covered porch furnished with barrel height stools and a Garrison Brothers Distillery bourbon barrel which serves as an end table. An outdoor fan keeps the air moving and the mosquitos away as you and your crew play cards and board games chosen from wide selection included. Enjoy a stroll down to the creek, which feeds to the Pedernales River, and feed the fish. Bring your pole—you may need luck to catch one but it sure is relaxing to try. The property includes a cell phone signal booster, Wi-Fi, and is partly powered by the sun. A solar array on the roof of the large garage helps keep this country oasis as green as the hills.
Last Stand is a 5 acre country setting off Highway 290 in downtown Stonewall, with access to a local cafe, diner, and general store. The outside highway noise becomes a hum once you step inside the cottage. Hye, TX home of Garrison Brothers Distillery, Hye Market and Hye Rum, is about 5 miles east of Stonewall. Main Street Fredericksburg is a short 15 minute drive west on Highway 290. While the area is known for the many local wineries, the options for spending your time are endless. Be sure to check out my Guidebook for my favorite local recommendations.

  • This was our third visit to our favorite little cabin and will not be be our last! James has created a perfect little escape for someone wanting a quiet, peaceful place close to everything Fredericksburg/the hill country has to offer. Unfortunately, we arrived during quarantine but it did not deter us from having a wonderful weekend, with our friends staying in the neighboring cabin. A great escape from the madness going on. I would rather keep it a secret but I have to recommend it! Too good not to share!

The outdoor spaces here are well suited to increased social distancing, and I have implemented some cleaning procedures which meet the highest standard for stopping the spread of viruses. Your lodging unit will be thoroughly cleaned before and after your stay. Additionally, no other guests will have stayed in your unit for 48 hours before and after your stay. Any shared areas are cleaned frequently by the host and you will have access to Lysol/Clorox cleaner/wipes and paper towels to do extra cleaning immediately before your use. We have plenty of soap on hand but hand sanitizer is not always available locally. * If you have been sick in the last two weeks, please stay at home for your health and the safety of others. In Winter bring clothing for a cold weather camping experience. Work closely with host to learn best use practice with solar power to have adequate battery charge for all-night use of an electric blanket. Start a fire in the fire-pit for Texas cold nights and I recommend sweatpants/sweatshirts for sleeping. The nearby travel trailer which serves as a shared bathroom for camping guests, is heated on cold mornings. • My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay in the Skoolie! Wayne was an awesome host and made sure we had all we needed and more. Sadie was also a delight to be around. The location and views were great and we really got a chance to enjoy nature. Overall, a perfect getaway!!

    Alyssa2020-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wayne has really thought of everything and this property is full of thoughtful touches and amenities. The entire property is a central Texas delight. You have access to the river, great bird watching, and flowers blooming throughout the property. The camper van was a perfect glamping stay. You could easily stay in your private area to stargaze and hang out by the fire, though the shared amenities are the cherry on top for this stay. You can cook on a grill, chill in the hot tub, star gaze, and canoe the river. There’s really no reason to leave Wayne’s place once you arrive. Chatting with him and hanging out with Sadie the Great Pyrenees were unexpected highlights of the trip as well. This is the type of place that you want to schedule your next visit as soon as you leave. Can’t recommend enough!

    Mallory2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • The bus was really cool and fun to stay in. Very cozy and right by the river, which had great views.

  • This is a cool base camp to explore the area and is a little adventure in itself! Quiet, peaceful, comfortable, safe, memorable, and fun in a pretty spot by the Pedernales. Wayne’s obviously a worldly traveler with travelers’ needs and comforts in mind - and he’s as friendly and welcoming as they get! Lots of fun touches, and a posh semi-camping setup for guests in the Skoolie and on the property...great getaway!
