“Lucca is a lovely medieval town, encircled by perfectly preserved walls (where you can walk), with a magical appeal. You will find several interesting sites to visit, like the antique towers (among all don't miss the Guinigi tower) as well as an interesting food and wine offer with plenty of shops and restaurants.”

Amusement Park
“The Pinocchio Park is a memorial park of the famous fairy tale and is located in Collodi, part of the municipality of Pescia (PT), around 50 km east of Viareggio. You can get there by car or bus. Collodi is the town where Carlo Lorenzini, the author of the Adventures of Pinocchio, spent his childhood and from which he later took his pseudonym. The park is conceived as a theme park for childhood education, it is not the usual amusement park, but rather a place where one has the feeling of retracing a living fairy tale within a path marked by a combination of art and nature. Near the entrance is the sculpture of Emilio Greco of Pinocchio and the Fata, near a flowerbed arranged to draw the effigy of the famous puppet. An area follows with a small theater and a refreshment area. The Piazzetta of mosaics preserves the mosaics of Venturino Venturi. Following the "Village of Pinocchio" and the various sculptures, made by Pietro Consagra (the Carabiniere, the Gatto and the Volpe and the Serpente), Marco Zanuso and Augusto (Bobo) Piccoli (the Grande Pescecane).”

Plaza
“Located in the hearth of the historic center, this unique square is certainly one of the most attractive sites in Lucca. Preserved as an open, oval piazza, its name comes from the original 2nd century Roman amphitheater on the remains of which it was created.”

Lake
“You can visit the Lake of Torre del Lago by boat, but you cannot swim in it. The boat leaves from the square in front of the Lake, where the Puccini Villa Museum is. Timings vary, so it is better to go and check directly.”

Establishment
“The Antro del Corchia, with its approximately 53 km of tunnels and shafts, holds the national record for the largest underground karst system. The difference in height, with its 1187 m of height between the opening and the higher end of the cave is one of the highest traceable in Italian and European territory. The special feature of karst system of Corchia lies mainly in its extreme morphological complexity and evolution. It is actually a three-dimensional lattice enclosed in a volume of marble and dolomite about 2 km long, 1 km wide and nearly 1200 m high. A trail, about 1 km, allows tourists to penetrate inside the Corchia and reach the heart of the mountain and karst system. Suitable for children.”

Park
“A “must” for all nature and trekking lovers is the Orecchiella Park, a natural reserve, established in 1980, protected by the State Forestry Corps, which covers about 12.400 acres on the territory of 4 municipalities (Piazza al Serchio, San Romano, Villa Collemandina and Sillano). This area with high natural value is dominated by dense forests of fir, beech and chestnut trees; many wild animals live inside those woods (deers, roe deers, wild sheeps, foxes, badgers, wild boars, small rodents like squirrels etc. ….). In addition, if you are lucky, you can see two important kinds of birds of prey in the skies of the park : golden eagle and the peregrine falcon.”

“In Collodi, a small town about half an hour away from Lucca, you can visit the very original Pinocchio Park dedicated to the famous long-nosed marionette. The park is set up completely outdoors. Walking inside the large garden, surrounded by the well-cared after vegetation, you’ll find all the main protagonists of the story: Pinocchio, the Fairy with Turquoise Hair, the Cat and the Fox and many other characters from the novel virtually accompany visitors and remind them some of the most relevant passages of the book. ”

“A great experience that our territory allows is the Canyon Park: it is an aerial route, consisting of metal cable ways and tibetan bridges, located in one of the narrowest gorge of the Lima creek valley, just near the village of Bagni di Lucca. Visitors can also swim and dive into the creek or try the paddle board experience.”
