Places to stay in Little Hartley
Ever wandered what it's like to live on a picturesque Apple Orchard or Hobby Farm? Well now is the time to find out! We will be providing you with the most unique and sort after farm stay experience. Stay in luxury and style while soaking up your own private blue mountains escarpment views. You're free to explore the Orchard and our secret lookout. Wonder through the apple trees, meet the animals or just sit and enjoy the cozy fire place with a glass of wine.
Sitting inside the tastefully restored Machinery Shed is like sitting under the stars as the ceiling is adorned with fairy lights. This stunning Machinery shed is located on the oldest remaining apple orchard on shipley plateau. Built in 1919 it has had a new lease on life. Set up for a romantic couples stay. The house faces iconic blue mountains cliffs and looks down on to the Kanimbla valley. Enjoy a bottle of champagne as you soak in the freestanding stone bathtub looking out on the the view and bush. Cuddle up by the fire under the fairy lights and enjoy the private oasis or watch the sunset by the outdoor fire pit. The machinery Shed is without a TV or any screens. Please note we only provide enough wood to get the fire going. You will need to purchase extra if you wish to use it all night. Firewood can be purchased from the local service stations, Hardware or the Friendly Grocer in town.
We are on 25 acres so you will not see much of the neighbours. It's a quiet little area
  • Location was stunning; and the views were amazing! Very stylish place and super cosy. Lottie the Mareema is the best, and up for a scratch - we absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back!

  • Highly recommend, it's beautiful.

  • This is an exceptional spot - I've stayed many times in the Blue Mountains over more than twenty years and this rates top for me. The views are extraordinary, ever-changing and the area around the farm is untouched by the recent bushfires, making it an oasis of lush green. The accommodation is very well appointed and very quiet and private. Asia was an excellent host and answered our questions extremely promptly. We appreciated the farm produce and luxurious bath supplies. We enjoy cooking and there is everything you need here if you want to stay put and enjoy the beautiful location. You can experience the beauty of the mountains here without getting out of bed but do take the opportunity to walk down to the picnic spot as described in the House guide. We saw an Eastern Grey kangaroo on the way. There are also excellent tips for walks from Asia. If that is your thing, I would also recommend the Porters Pass, Centennial Glen Circuit nearby while the bush on the other side of Blackheath recovers from recent fires and while tracks there might be closed. Outstanding. Thank you Asia.

  • Just what was expected! Beautiful place and excellent hospitality!

    Kiara2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect romantic getaway with picturesque scenery, including an amazing lookout point! The farm animals were great to interact with. We loved Lottie - the Maremma sheepdog, who loved pats and playing chasy!

    Katherine2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • It is completely consistent with the photos and there is no difference. The landlord communicates very accurately beforehand. The room is very large and there is a bathtub that can directly see the Blue Mountains. This is the best memory of our trip to Australia!

  • We had an absolutely incredible time at Logan Brae! It was so peaceful and relaxing whilst still being so close to all the great activities and walks. Asia is a wonderful host and went above and beyond what we could even hope for to make our trip as easy as possible, i have no doubt we'll become regulars quite quickly!

    L2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Asia's Machinery Shed is a beautiful, thoughtfully furnished space with amazing amenities! We had high hopes going into our stay and those expectations were far exceeded. Lots of amenities including fantastic toiletries, food and beverage from the orchard, and other touches like sweets. The views were spectacular. I highly recommend drawing a bath during the daytime in order to truly take in the sights! If you are on the fence about booking this stay make the decision now and book!

Blackheath has a real village atmosphere. Its so nice to go up the street and see familiar faces, say hello and have a chat! You're never far from pretty streets, beautiful parks full of special trees and plants that have been here for decades. In the Autumn many streets become tunnels of colour – its easy to see why the cameras come out! The Memorial Park, (down Govetts Leap Road turn left at Gardiner Crescent, entrance on your right at first intersection) has the most beautiful faerie walk under huge old rhododendrons – you might feel like a pixie! A sweep of grassy hills, playgrounds, duck pond and delightful bush paths too. Great place to dream, picnic, walk and play. Campbell Rhododendron Gardens at the end of Wentworth Street are a treat too. Volunteers have loved this garden since the 1970s. It's full of rhododendrons, maples, camelias, azaleas – all planted alongside the local plants and trees – totally in harmony! You can wander the many bush paths past huge termite mounds, mossy pagoda rock formations, soaring stringybarks, tiny ferns and gorgeous local ground covers. A lovely lake reflects the sky, trees and flowers! Ahh. The Grose Velley can be viewed from many places – it's so special, you feel like you're gazing deep into the planets prehistoric past. It seems so untouched. Govetts Leap is the easiest spot at the end of Govetts Leap Road. From there you look east and no matter the weather or time of day it's very special. There is a spectacular walk to (and from) Evans Lookout which gives you another unique aspect of this very special valley. Anyway, you get the picture? Its all great! And there are lovely local cafes, restaurants, browsing shops, galleries and a great hardware store!!
  • Fantastic location, only a few minutes walk to the local town and close to the highway so you can visit all the little towns throughout the mountains. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Grace and Peter have all the technology you could ever want, netflix, google home and a virtual reality console. I would stay there again if I was traveling the area.

    Hugh2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little studio, great location & lots of thoughtful touches. Sitting out in the garden with a glass of champagne, watching the all different parrots was lovely!!

    Emma2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous cozy space with uber comfy beds and bed coverings. Everything was great and although we had limited time it was nice to know we could have tried the virtual reality if we wanted - so fun! Thank you Pete for all the local tips, the lovely conversation, the home made bread and the warm and welcoming heart! We definitely will be back!!

    Gemma2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Friendly and accommodating hosts. Plants of local tips

    Brett2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding hosts- Grace + Peter went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. There place has everything you could need and so much more. Thoughtful touches like the delicious spread they had our for us and the bottle of champagne. The place was beautiful and clean, we loved the garden area and the super comfy bed! I cannot thank these guys enough for their hospitality!

    Rebecca2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cabin, thoughtfully appointed, great location

    Jenny2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Grace and Peter are wonderful hosts. Grace greeted us when we arrived and even came out to say goodbye to us. She showed us how everything works. The unit is stylish and lovely. The bed was so comfortable we had a wonderful sleep after a long hike. Peter baked a loaf of fresh bread and we enjoyed our breakfast with different jams and fruits. We appreciated the option of soy milk. It’s a pity we couldn’t sit outside for breakfast as it was raining. The garden setting is beautiful. Thanks Grace and Peter for your beautiful hospitality.

    Annette2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Grace and Pete are very thoughtful hosts - we stayed in the lovely cabin, which is easily accessible from the house’s front entrance (conveniently located right behind the train station) and is fitted out with Google Home, cozy bedding, and a sweet array of homemade bread and jams. All of these details facilitated a perfect, restful stay. My only suggestion would be to add a lock to the bathroom door in the cabin, as the door didn’t fully shut. Pete and Grace offered many suggestions for activities in the local area - we enjoyed the delicious mountain air while exploring Govett’s Leap lookout in Blackheath, and the town centres in Leura and Katoomba. We can’t wait to return and try out one of the other rentals in Pete and Grace’s backyard!

Hatter's Hideout transects a deep mountain gorge, with lush cool temperate rainforest to natural bonsai in wind swept heath; to woodland with panoramic views across Mount Wilson and Wollemi National Park, the World Heritage Area and home of the prehistoric wollemi pine. THE CAVE Set amidst towering escarpments, the Hat Cave is a huge sandstone cathedral, sculpted by nature to provide an ideal bushland retreat for modern cave dwellers (troglodytes). The natural acoustics are a musicians dream. NB Due to a minority of irresponsible guests who have ignored my requests to minimise volume, speakers are now limited to re-chargeable portable speakers ONLY...Speaker systems that require 240v power are not permitted. It has been carefully developed using minimal impact construction and facilities to ensure the environment remains as pristine as possible for future generations to enjoy. FACILITIES Camp fire with kindling and 20kg wood. Gas barbecue; ice box; tables and chairs. Solar powered lights for reading, cooking etc.; candles for intimacy. Rainwater on tap for cooking and washing up. Kitchen sink, utensils and basic cooking condiments. Composting toilet. First Aid Kit. LODGE A spacious mountain lodge with 3 Bedrooms and Loft, hand crafted in a classic Australian style featuring artistic decor and views over the spectacular Wollangambe Wilderness and Wollemi World Heritage Area from most rooms. BOOKINGS INCLUDE An interpretive “Bush Walk & Talk” to the Cave, to introduce you to the environs, facilities and “minimal impact” philosophy of Hatters Hideout. Exclusive use of the lodge that sleeps 8 adults in 3 king bedrooms (or 1 king and 2 twin) plus a large loft with 2 "king single" beds. There are 2 lounge rooms, 2 bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, wilderness views and a 4+ star luxury rating. Private use of the Cave, which is a 10 minute / 500 metre walk. It is well equipped for a group picnic or party and can sleep 10 in natural luxury with camping gear provided, but you would need to be keen campers in the winter months... gas for the BBQ and 20kg of firewood for the campfire are provided. It is ideally designed for groups of up to 20 (some may camp in the cave!) to have exclusive use of a unique bushland property with outstanding natural facilities.
The ever changing dramatic spectacle of the sky over the wilderness still excites me after having lived here for most of 35 years.
  • Wow. What a venue! The cave was incredible.

  • Mark is an amazing host and this spot is truly magical. I can highly recommend this special place

    Lucy2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Marks hospitality and attention to detail makes this place one of the most unique experiences I've ever had. The house can sleep a lot of people and the cave is really something else. The sound in the cave is incredible and the swing in there is lots of fun. Just do it! :)

    Lance2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place with an awesome cave feature! Mark took us on a little tour and gave us some interesting info of the area. Highly recommend!

    Alyssa2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much! We are all in love with the cave, and the lodge too. Mark hasn’t missed a thing and our expectations were beaten despite already being high! Everyone needs time in nature even if they don’t realise it yet. We felt so lucky to experience the mountains this way and will treasure the weekend’s memories for ever. Everything you might need is provided including local knowledge from Mark. He even picked some of us up from the station as we were arriving earlier. Thank you so much from all of us!!!

  • Mark was a fantastic host, who went above and beyond to make our stay great. Can’t recommend Mark and Hatters Hideout enough. Will be going back with family very soon 10/10

    Jane2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • A very special place with its own piece of the Blue Mtns escarpment in its backyard! Simply breathtaking. The Cave itself is huge and well equipped, and the house is very warm and comfortable with everything that you need. The local bird life and King Parrots that would visit daily were another highlight. Mark’s local tips and knowledge were fab. Our young family loved our time at Hatters and look forward to coming back and enjoying it with extended family. An awesome spot for groups!

    Domonique2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • I wanted to spend a night in a cave for a book I’m writing and found Hatters Hideout just 2 hours from Sydney. Mark was communicative, helpful and flexible. He welcomed us and helped us carry wood and all our items down to the cave. He has worked so hard to create the most magical space to share with others. What an adventure we had spending 2 nights in the cave while the wind howled and it poured with rain. We will be back. Thank you Mark

Belle-Gordon is an elegant light filled garden studio 5 minutes walk from Blackheath Village
During this time we are hosting guests more long term with a few days between guests and using enhanced cleaning techniques. Belle-Gordon is a newly built garden studio with separate access on a quiet cul de sac only meters from the famous ‘Fort Rock’ and 'Centennial Glen' bush walks and 5 mins walk to the train station and town. We love the village atmosphere, stunning scenery and being able to walk to cafes, pubs and local markets and hope you will too. Sit on the terrace with your bottle of complimentary bubbly and enjoy the sunset. The suite has a queen bed with beautiful linen, a claw foot bath for a deep relaxing soak, a TV to curl up in bed and watch your fav flicks (free Netflix) and a coffee machine for the morning. There is also a small fridge, microwave, toaster & kettle. The reverse cycle aircon and electric blankets means you will always be nice and comfy. We supply some gourmet muesli, yoghurt, fresh fruit, local sourdough, jam /spreads & a selection of beverages so you can enjoy breakfast overlooking your own private garden before taking in the delights of Blackheath and surrounds. The studio is a short walk to great cafes in the village if breakfast out is your your preference. We have a little dog, a cat and a few chickens. None of which have access to the apartment or garden with the exception of Jemima (cat) who needs the occasional reminder that the space was not created for her! We are around most of the time and happy to chat about local must do’s or leave you in peace, your holiday your choice.
Beautiful Blackheath sits at the top of the Blue Mountains less than a 2hr drive from Sydney. Stunning vistas surprise at the end of Govett’s Leap and Evans Look Out Rds, both a short drive from the village. If gardens are your pleasure, then the Campbell Rhododendron Gardens on Bacchante St will not disappoint. Oct-Nov is recommended as the best flowering time. Blackheath has a true 4 Season climate, warm Summers, stunning Autumn colours, chilly Winters with occasional snow falls and a glorious Spring with cherry blossoms and daffodils. Foodies & gourmets are catered for too with great cafes, restaurants, bakeries and local markets. Whether you are a hardened adventurer, or out for a pleasant stroll, the walks, tracks and canyons in Blackheath and surrounds, offer a variety of outdoor activity.

  • Jen & Mal’s place is truly a gem. It is superbly comfortable and stylish and the owners have gone out of their way to ensure guests have a wonderful stay. So many thoughtful touches and attention to detail make it a pleasure. The accommodation is set in a gorgeous garden to one side of the house with a little outside covered area. It is very private and certainly a place we will return to. We met Jen & Mal and they are the perfect friendly hosts.

    Robert2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • I always love coming to stay at Belle-Gordon, such a wonderfully quiet street with closeness to shops but enough away from the busy to fully relax. Loved having the birdlife explore the pretty garden the studio looks out onto and comfy bed to sleep in on!

    Susan2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This stay was amazing, just a 10 mins drive to Katoomba where cafes, restaurants and supermarkets are mostly located. It was a quiet place and was lovingly furnished. The pantry was very well stocked with quality products. There were unexpected touches like bath salts, candles and Google Chromecast which makes us feel at home. Jen and Mal were very responsive to our questions and ensured that we had sufficient food in the pantry. Would love to stay with them during our next stay at the Blue Mountains!

    Jollyn2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The review is in and we could not be happier to give it a rave! Our stay was truly magical. Jen & Mal are wonderful, attentive, thoughtful hosts and the studio - though charmingly small - has everything you could possibly need for a dream Blue Mountains getaway. We'll be back!

    Claudia2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place, had everything you could need. Very clean and stylish. Saw a beautiful sunset from just outside the apartment. Good location, went to a great restaurant (fumo) 5 minutes walk away. Blackheath is a good spot to stay, lots of amazing view points nearby and less crowds. Near to Katoomba.

Elphin is on a steep private gully and faces north and east, with its beautiful new interiors, stylish antique pieces meets rustic chic, large windows and views in all directions, a great deck and a comfy bed that guests have named “the cloud”. The gully is full of terraced gardens and native fern bushland and sits above Leura Creek which feeds into the great Bridal Veil Falls. There is a bedroom with eating table and a full new kitchen, super creative bathroom and private deck.
Elphin is the lower level of our home, with exactly the same views to the gully and rainforest as we have upstairs. Please note that if you don’t have a car, Elphin is 15 mins walk from Leura and 20 mins walk from Katoomba (uphill!). There is a completely separate entrance accessed down the side of the house with a keypad security door. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need being away from home including herbs and spices, sauces, oils, balsamic, tomato paste, and a tea drawer of every variety known to man plus Nespresso and supplied pods and milk.
Elphin is in the centre of the Blue Mountains exactly half way between the two major villages - Leura and Katoomba (15 mins walk to Leura and 20 mins to Katoomba). Our favourite places for walking with the pooch are the Charles Darwin Walk, Wentworth Falls Lake and the abandoned (but beautifully mown) Katoomba golf course with its century old, established gardens and magnificent trees.
  • Lovely place to stay. Everything was spotless and and well equipped. Would happily stay again!

  • Lou's place is right in the center of two beautiful historic mountain towns, nestled in a valley around a lot of trees so privacy is just whats intended. Although the fires and floods had swept through the Blue Mountains there are hiking tracks open like the Grand Canyon (our favourite)or just spend the day checking out the eclectic shops that Leura has to offer.

    Renee2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and a fab and cosy place to stay will definitely be back.

  • The Alpacas in one paddock and the goats in the other & kangaroos hopping and grazing can all be seen from the apartment. The bird life in the morning was a delight. The place is comfortable and cosy and a great location from which to explore this side of the mountains. Thanks to Jo for being a great host and always willing to help out.

  • Enjoyed our time

    Joy2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at this cosy mountain accommodation. We had the upstairs space all to ourselves, a large bedroom with a terrace (visited by gorgeous birds) overlooking part of the property and hills in the distance, a small living room to watch tv, wi-fi, a kitchenette and small dining area for a quick breakfast/snack (equipped with microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle etc, tea and coffee) & private shower/toilet. A second double bedroom is available if needed. Jo was friendly, helpful, and extremely quiet, and her gorgeous dogs are equally lovely and you barely know they are there! A cafe a few minutes way is great to grab a snack, and a pizza place down the road (walking distance) should be re-opening soon! Would definitely love to visit again!

    Karen2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a beautiful stay at Jo's place! The accommodation was very spacious and located on a beautiful, peaceful property. We loved sitting out on the balcony with a glass of wine, listening to the nature that surrounded us! The location suited us perfectly, as it was outside of the main towns, but still a close drive. Jo was so lovely (as were her dogs!) and was very easy to communicate with. We will definitely look to stay here again on our next visit!

  • The only bad think about when I stayed there is because I couldn’t enjoyed more time at ‘home’. I just arrived to have a shower and sleep. It’s ashamed from me, because the place is so comfortable and beautiful, I felt like home! Trish always answered fast and helped a lot. Super easy checkin, which was essential for me! Thank you, Trish! ❤️

But the communication and assistance we received once we were notified was astounding, very much supportive and kind. Not only was there prompt communication with us and air bnb, we were also offered some great recommendations. Thankyou so much for your kindness and professionalism Julian and André! My partner and I hope to stay at your beautiful property soon.

Step out of the city and onto this working produce farm. Accommodation is rustic and basic as opposed to four star but the air is fresh and the stars are a work of art. Come and enjoy the tranquillity.
As a way of introduction, some basic housekeeping information about our cabin …. Firstly this is a working farm, so accommodation is rustic and basic as opposed to four star. Our bathroom facilities are an outside shower and composting toilet about a 20m walk from the cabin but the bonus is we have just had instant hot water installed and the shower is steaming hot. There is a hand basin outside the cabin with cold running water for drinking and washing. We will always leave a torch in the cabin for your use, for those late night adventures! For your convenience there is a refrigerator, microwave, kettle, drinkware, cutlery and plates. Linen and towels are provided and the fridge will be stocked with milk and cold water. There is no hot and cold running water inside the cabin however as I mentioned the hand basin outside will provide cold water for hand washing, teeth cleaning etc. Animals roam free on the property and the cabin overlooks our dam where the ducks and geese take their families to swim. As I mentioned earlier, this is a working farm and business and we do have a dam in close proximity to the cabin; this is NOT fully fenced, so please be aware that is it your sole responsibility to supervise your children at all times – animals are also freely wandering the grounds in the way of chooks, alpacas, sheep, goats, geese and dogs (we have 8 rescue dogs of all shapes and sizes), so please be aware that free range is just that, again supervision will be required. Adequate footwear for children would be an advantage as the walking tracks can be rutted after bad weather and working farm means dirt and animal poop (just to add to the fun) so obviously safety is the best prevention. We'd love to show you our little part of the world and welcome you to our home. We welcome lots of interaction with the animals and there is a big open fire that you can sit around and toast marshmallows and chat or a smaller one outside the cabin to take in the fresh air and the canvas of stars.
The Blue Mountains / Lithgow / Bathurst area has a lot to offer in the way of sightseeing and local interest spots. In the cabin we have included a folder of places to see and things to do including local restaurants and swimming holes.
  • Fantastic cozy little spot in a rustic area! Would love to come back when the weather is better!

    Jacob2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Get up to Little Hartley and explore the surrounding area. The community needs all the support after the recent bushfires. The cabin is great, rustic as described but with a lovely outlook. And if you love dogs they currently have 10 rescue pups, all different shapes and sizes. We loved sitting around in the morning with all the dogs.

    Robyn2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • It was a lovely true farm experience. Denise and her husband were lovely hosts and went above and beyond.

    Nicole2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Denise & Michael were outstanding hosts. We now have two new friends and a place where our dog to stay when we go on holidays. Our primary motivation for the stay was to give our young boys, aged 2 and 4, a different experience from the inner city life that they are accustomed to and it certainly delivered on that goal. We will be back without doubt.

    James2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our family had a fabulous time at Denise’s property. Their hospitality is simply amazing and the cabin is clean and tidy. Our kids and us learnt a great deal about sustainable farming during our stay, and the highlight for us was certainly the lovely dogs! Sitting by the fire pit in the evening is warm and fantastic! Skipper woke us up to a scrumptious breakfast cooked by Michael. Overall, an excellent stay and lovely hosts! We look forward to coming back to stay again. Thanks so much Denise and Michael!

    James Wan Ping2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place! This was for sure one of the best accommodations (and experiences) I've ever had! The farm is lovely. We arrived late but we could enjoy ourselves by the fire pit that Denise and Michael left on for us. The accommodation is rustic, comfortable and very tidy. They also left some marshmallows to toast by the fire (such a cute detail). In the morning baby Skipper came to say hello and to call us for a delicious breakfast that Michael prepared to us. We had the pleasure to meet this incredible place and we can't wait to come back. This was the first experience that made us feel so welcome with small details. Thank you so much Denise and Michael for the amazing experience, for sure we will come back to stay longer! ❤️. Send hugs to all doggies of the farm especially Skipper, they made our weekend much better!

    Kercia2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We were only there for a night but had a great time! My daughter loved visiting the animals, especially the Guinea Pigs. Michael and Denise were so friendly and made us feel right at home.

    Patrick2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Surpassed our expectations! Stunning location ( we had a perfect for star gazing!) and only a short drive to Katoomba/Leura. Our host Michael was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We loved roasting marshmallows over the pit fire and enjoyed having a chat with Michael over breakfast and meeting their many dogs. Would definitely stay again!

Little Hartley is just under 2 hours drive from central Sydney. We do our grocery shopping at Lithgow which is 15 minutes away as it has a number of major retailers. Blackheath is about 15 minutes drive, Katoomba 25 minutes drive, Jenolan Caves 30-40 minutes and Bathurst 1 hour drive away. More to come about Little Hartley and how special it is...
  • This is a fantastic property, full of beautiful unique touches, warmth and individuality. We spent a good hour walking around the house, enjoying its architecture and attention to detail. It was the perfect place for our relaxing girls weekend away. Fantastic hosts who offered us suggestions for places to visit close by before returning home in the evening to a fantastic sunset. A truly wonderful place to call home for a few days.

The Barn itself has been beautiful constructed, with the interiors designed and styled to perfection. It was luxurious and comfortable, yet family friendly. The kids loved the country landscape and feeding the sheep. We will definitely be back! Thank you Tarona.

  • We had a very enjoyable weekend here! The combination of being relatively close to Sydney, dog friendly and offering an amazing view over the Blue Mountains, made this property such a gem. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, we could even bake a birthday cake! The view from the deck is stunning, as is the view from the living area, which has a gloriously large fireplace! We would definitely return!

    Laura2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great country house on a hilltop with expansive views. There are lots of nice areas to relax, including the terrace, in front of the fireplace, and strolling the grounds. Good amenities and easy check-in. The hosts were very accommodating which we really appreciated. We had a great stay all round!

    Julian2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! We spent 2 nights at Wendy & Wayne’s place and had the most wonderful time. The property is so peaceful and private with spectacular views in all directions. The house is charming with everything you could need and more. Our 3 sons completely forgot about devices and got swept up by all the fun things to do outside and around the house. Highly recommend and can not wait to stay there again.

  • Great cabin for our weekend away! Had everything we need and was super close to town centre.

    Monique2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing cabin in an idyllic forest in the Blue Mountains. It was cozy and idyllic. When inside the cabin you really felt like you were in the middle of nowhere with no one else around. The space was well designed and while small was perfect.

  • We had a lovely stay. The cabin was so lovely and cute - and the view was beautiful :)

    Steph2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. What absolute bliss!! The cabin is super cute and has everything you need (incl. a solid DVD collection). It’s nestled in between many beautiful trees and you cannot see or hear any neighbours. All you hear are the birds and the bees. I was here two nights and read 2 books and did a 3 hr hike with 9 waterfalls (Wentworth Falls Pass)!!! Needed time out from the city/crowds/cement/stress/noise/traffic. This was perfect. The host, Christopher, is amazing. I will DEFINITELY be back. Highly, highly recommend.

    Emily2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This spot was an ideal last minute booking to get away from Sydney to meet some work deadlines. Christopher was a breeze to organise the booking with. Quick & efficient. The cabin itself was amazing. Perfect on all fronts. Surrounded by bush but close enough that you weren't too isolated. Clean & had all the little knickknacks you needed to live in solitude for even the shortest of times. Plenty of great walks nearby also. Perfect time away.

Blackheath has a real village atmosphere. It's so nice to go up the street and see familiar faces, say hello and have a chat! Ahh. The Grose Valley can be viewed from many places – it's so special, you feel like you're gazing deep into the planets prehistoric past. Her place is very well equipped - you would find almost all kinds of kitchenwares you need which is very handy. Impressive detail about her thoughtful cold glass in the fridge for enjoying cold drinks if needed. • We spent a week in this stunning Airbnb. Heather and Jeff are lovely hosts, welcoming, friendly and helpful. The unit is spotlessly clean, air-conditioned, immaculately presented with great attention to detail, comfy bed, modern luxury bathroom, breakfast provisions, and easy access to the highway. There were several cool, rainy days during our visit but we were warm and cosy inside the unit and the undercover parking for our car right next to the unit was excellent because we could come and go without getting wet. We also enjoyed looking out of the big windows at the garden. You will never want to stay in a motel again after staying in this Airbnb.

  • A beautiful cottage with outstanding furnishings, quality and comfortable clean bedding. The personal touch in every room was welcoming. There is nothing to bring , just come and stay. Even the outdoor entertainment area could accommodate 8 guests, which the house comfortably suits without anyone being in each other’s pockets because it is very spacious. I loved reading my book by the window curled up in the lounge. Thankyou Wayne snd Wendy. Highly recommended.

Even a Christmas cake, fresh bread and fruit would be lovingly provided. Since we could not go hiking in the national park because of the bush fires, we have been browsing in the beautiful garden with beautiful books from the library.

  • Loved, Loved, LOVED this place! Not only is the house gorgeous, but it was styled with a beautiful, 1920s-esque Agatha Christie style feel. I feel Poirot or Ms. Marple would be proud to call this place home. Beautiful stained glass windows, lots of natural light, comfy yet stylish furniture, and lots of stylish and homey touches make this place top of our list. My husband and I felt so at home here and didn't want to leave. Plus, Annette and Bob left us a delicious sourdough loaf of bread and also the most delicious cake, as well as delicious tea and coffee and the basic essentials in the fridge and pantry. And the house is conveniently located a five minute walk from town. We definitely plan to come back in the future and I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to have a quiet retreat in Katoomba.

    Alyssa2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful, unexpected experience. The house is excellent and the hosts very generous. A pearl seldom found these days.

  • I can't speak anymore highly of Annette and Bob as hosts! And there house is absolutely stunning! They have truly thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable and homely as possible.

    Patrick2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Came back here again , I think it is our 5th time. Once you known this place, you don't want to go others. everything is more than 5 🌟

    Sophia2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time we have stayed in Annette & Bob’s lovely cottage. The special touches of fresh citrus cake & sourdough on arrival, the well stocked pantry and fridge, the fully equipped kitchen, lovely toiletries for a long bath after a bush walk make it so special. The cottage is immaculate & clean with gorgeous furniture. Love having the Netflix option for rainy days. We walked to Katoomba a few times to dine out or just to wander through the shops. Very convenient having the brand new RSL club across the road, but no noise from it. Still the best Airbnb we have stayed in. We would love to return again soon.
