Tranquil Karekare Valley Home

Tranquil Valley Home, 4 guests 2 upstairs bedrooms. Following the floods in February there will be major works on the Karekare Rd. Access to Karekare will be via the Lone Kauri Rd, from Oct 9th 2023 to Feb 2024, which will add about 15 min to the trip. Our place and Karekare are fine and safe to visit. The beach and walks are still beautiful and lifeguards will be on duty over the weekends and school holidays. Just a little more remote than usual. We look forward to having you stay.

Karekare Stream Cottage

Sweet bohemian cottage set in a lovely lush garden with fresh water stream dissecting the property. The beach is a 10minute walk from the cottage. Karekare was badly affected by Cyclone Gabrielle but our cottage has stood strong & unharmed & unchanged for the last 40years. KK environs & roads were badly damaged. Lone Kauri Rd will be closed for slip repairs from 8th April '24 There is no wifi & phone coverage can be patchy. Dogs welcome but let me know first.

Incredible Views Kiwi Bach

Come and stay in our stylish 1950s bach with one of the best views in Piha. Set back from the road, the house feels wonderfully isolated as it sits level with the tree-tops. The amazing view from the deck looks down on South Piha and up the coast to the headland. To the right you can see up the distant valley of native forest. There's two sunny living areas, a simple kitchen, shower and downstairs there's two bedrooms.
