  • Very comfortable space with a lot of thoughtful touches.

  • As Douglas was away, Daniel was hosting during our stay. The communication was terrific and quick. He responded quickly when I asked for a coffee grinder for my decaf beans-so nice.! The home is very stylish, clean, and a lot of work went into styling. Plenty of areas in the house to enjoy- was hard to pick a favorite. The alcove with the small woodburning fireplace was my favorite place to read. Our room was very beautiful and ample with a very comfortable bed and pillows. Closet space plenty for two! There were other guests in the house during our stay-all were very polite and respectable. He offers a complimentary continental breakfast which is so wonderful. There's always juice, milk, coffee, tea and, some homemade bundt cake, fruit, cereal, cookies at all times. They go above and beyond! I look forward to more stays with Douglas and Daniel. They really are Superb Hosts! Thank you !!

  • This place is such a gem! We stayed in the area for the weekend and loved staying in this sweet home! It is wonderfully designed and comfortable with unique design touches! My friend and I particularly enjoyed sitting on the porch swing taking in the neighborhood. Such a perfect place to unplug and enjoy!

  • A quaint and well-appointed room in a beautiful home. The continental breakfast and drinks were a nice touch. I would definitely go back!

  • We stayed at Douglas's home for just 2 nights but it was hands down one of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed at. The home was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean, there were breakfast options provided every morning, and we truly enjoyed spending time on the front porch / back patios just playing cards, drinking wine, and watching the sun set. This home is super close to Bash Bish falls and Hudson, so you can definitely have an exciting and jam-packed weekend in Hillsdale!

  • We came for a weekend of skiing at Catamount, and this place is perfect since it was just 6 minutes down the road. We found the room very charming, a nice combination of modern renovations and older details. The room is also well-equipped with a microwave, small refrigerator and sink, which were handy for breakfast. We ran into Carmen the first morning, and he helped us clean the snow off our car and offered to adjust the heat in the room. We didn’t need it, but it was nice to know he was available if we had a problem. The restaurant downstairs was a little noisy sometimes, but it was also handy to be able to go downstairs for a meal without having to leave since it was snowing the night we arrived. All in all a great place, and we’ll definitely go back.

  • Great host, and we had a good time at the bar downstairs!!

    Moe2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • This space was a surprise with how delightful and charming it was. I loved the decor and room’s efficiency and amenities. Also, it is literally right downtown and next to some very cute shops and restaurants. The bathroom has excellent water pressure and soft fluffy towels! I will definitely stay here again. It was the perfect place for my solo getaway after a women’s retreat I did at Metabee Farm.

  • What a great spot, and a real steal for the price! Super cute space, comfortable and charming, and we loved being above the tavern. Cute shops around us, and easy travel to hiking and great food!

Ten minutes from Gt Barrington, Simon's Rock, Butternut and Stockbridge, twenty to I-90, Tanglewood, Catamount and Kripalu, in a secluded and peaceful setting among old trees. Free ranging ducks contribute fresh eggs and entertainment. Coffee, tea and waffle ingredients are all provided. There is plenty of comfortable seating and Netflix or DVDs on the 60" TV. A propane fireplace makes it cozy in the winter, while a lofty ceiling, a/c and the shade of oaks and hemlocks keeps it cool.
The towels are dried on a clothesline so if you need exfoliation, and who doesn't, this is a plus. If slightly edgy art disturbs you deeply, if you have allergies, or a Daddy Long Legs freaks you out, this won't be your best choice. If you have bad knees, the furniture may be uncomfortably low. If mismatched sheets, or potatoes growing in tires offend your sensibilities, perhaps you should consider something more bland, which is not hard to find, but this isn’t it. Turkeys, bobcats, "trash pandas,” deer, ducks and the occasional bear ramble around at dawn and dusk. Frogs sing charmingly at night. Guests report sleeping very well.
Great for biking. Gently rolling hills, picturesque countryside, mostly respectful drivers, and a bike path through town.
  • The Treehouse is a great stay overall - good location, amenities, and aesthetic. We appreciated the breakfast fixings and the kitchenware and appliances. The place was cozy and had everything we needed. We liked that it was off the beaten path but close to town.

    Tammy2020-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t come to Claire’s place looking for luxury (she’d be the first to tell you that), but if you like character and eccentricity and real realness, this is the place for you. My three-year-old son and I loved our time here. There are ducks (and duck eggs for breakfast) and trails and wild art and a very strong feeling of life well-lived. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience.

    Kirven2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • As all the other reviews said, this place was great. Claire greeted us upon arrival and couldn't have been more accommodating, The fresh coffee, waffles, and duck eggs were such a great touch. She even gave us a few eggs to take home. The space was cozy, relaxing and private but also very close to town. I will certainly be back again.

    Michael2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy and interesting, Claire's place was fun to explore and comfy to stay in. Would stay again!

    Brighid2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a cool place! Highly recommend for anyone needing a place to stay in the area. Thank you Claire!

    Trevor2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, eclectic private space to stay while enjoying the beauty of the Berkshire area. Wonderful treat to be able to cook fresh duck eggs in the morning provided by the host. It was a perfect place to stay with my family while on a mini vacation, and it is very close to all the shops and restaurants in Great Barrington. Highly recommend and would stay again in the future!

    Alice2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Claire's place is a gentle and artistic space that's great after a day of being out. It was sweet waking up to the cuteness of ducks out the window and having a nice kitchen to work in. Also, I found the bed upstairs in the loft to be really comfortable.

    Pete2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Claire’s Treehouse is a lovely little nook! Claire was a wonderful host and made herself available as needed.

The historic Mount Washington House is located in the center of Hillsdale, NY, where the Hudson Valley meets the Berkshires. Built in 1881, it is a mansard victorian that retains most of its original details and layout. In its day, it was traditional boarding house and due to its massive size, is in various stages of renovation at all times. This room is spacious and gets great light in the morning.
These are clean, modest, affordable accommodations in a great location. Often called the Mount, (Backoff Edith! My Mount was built first!) she is three stories tall, 139 years old, has 42 total rooms and is unique in that the building retains most of its original details. There is a tavern on the first floor but it is closed until further notice.
We're right in the center of the historic hamlet of Hillsdale, NY which is on the National Register of Historic Places. All amenities are within walking distance. We're right up the hill from the Harlem Valley Rail Trail and 3 miles from Catamount Mountain Resort. We have three amazing five star restaurants within 8 miles (The Suisse Hutte, John Andrews, and the Old Mill...in that order heading east, all on Route 23. The Mount is the best place in town! It is walking distance to a great grocery store, Roe Jan Brewing Co., Crossroads Food Shop, O's Diner, a brand new bakery, Village Scoop, Hillsdale General Store, Home Chef Cooking School and more. It is 10 miles from Great Barrington, MA and 18 miles from Hudson, 17 miles from Millerton, NY and 14 miles from Chatham.
  • Kelly's place was really special. Great, comfortable space in a great location. We'd definitely stay there again!

    Pedro2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • A charming place to stay, it's got such a nice historical vibe and it's so convenient to be able drop in to the tavern downstairs for food & drinks. The staff onsite was absolutely cordial, and the check in and out process were smooth. We stayed here on a snowboarding trip and it's also amazing how close it is to the mountain. We'll definitely be staying here on our next trip here!

  • I loved this space. As an artist, I found it quirky and inspiring. I was able to create here. The lighting from the windows was beautiful. There is a little sound pollution from the bar downstairs but I was there on a Thursday night and it didn’t bother me. The other thing I would note is that the WiFi was a weak signal and I had to use my hotspot to work so if you need to get work done that’s something I would take into account! Kelly a,so graciously let me shift my dates as I had a rescheduling with my client, which really helped me out.

  • Michael's place is absolutely wonderful. It is spotless clean, nicely decorated with minimalistic mid-century style. It had absolutely everything we needed and wonderful stylistic touches around the space. It almost felt that we entered yin-yang space with contrast of of light & dark. Coffee table books were also interesting & beautiful. The bed was comfortable and the birds outside put us to sleep. While Michael and his wife live above this apartment, the entrance to our space was separate and private. The outside space is breathtaking with a small pond and water brooke running through the property. We wish we could stay longer. Michael was available to answer any questions we had. Thank you both for being wonderful hosts.

  • Douglas and Danny’s space met and exceeded all of our expectations! It was absolutely gorgeous. Douglas has a fantastic eye for design. After a long day hiking, curling up on the couch in front of a fire and watching a movie was absolute perfection, as was sitting on the porch swing in the morning drinking tea. I loved that the breakfast and snack options were great before hiking (eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, trail mix), and my boyfriend loved the banana bread. Our room was a bit small (exactly as pictured) but had a HUGE closet so it was easy to keep tidy. We hardly wanted to spend time in the room when the house itself was so beautiful and cozy. We took Danny’s suggestions for dinners, which were great. We were 5 min walking from one more fun casual place and 8 min driving from a fancier lovely dinner. Lots of hikes, and bigger “cities” like Lee were also easy to get to. Great location overall.

    Molly2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • A friend visited with Douglas a few weeks before I did. She did a great job of setting expectations. I found the hosts gracious and helpful, the home was nicely outfitted and thoughtfully furnished, the house was conveniently located and my bed was truly comfortable.

  • another fantastic stay!

    James2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Douglas and Danny have a wonderful house with amazing accents. We enjoyed our amazing break from the hectic city life. We really loved everything about the town of Hillsdale; from the floral shop to the amazing food at crossroads. The highlight was just sitting in the amazing home that Danny and Douglas have created and watching the sunset from the porch swing. A must do. P.S. the homemade banana bread is AMAZING. 😍

  • A stylish B&B located in a tucked away, yet central, location for touring the Berkshires. The check-in was super easy and the hosts were very responsive. It was great for a short holiday!

    Douglas2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Danny was our host during our weekend stay. He was friendly, helpful (lots of excellent local suggestions), and willing to answer our questions about his old and lovely house! The bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and we appreciated having a nice living room downstairs for reading and computer work. Breakfast items were an added treat. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.

    Karen2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at this place! It was a cozy farmhouse with a modern twist which definitely sparked our interest. You can tell that Douglas had put a lot of attention to detail for this house and for our stay. The amenities were great to have and added to the experience. It was so fun to go out and explore a small rural town and then come back to this home. Truly a great experience!!

Welcome to our non profit meditative homestead. Sun-Tues we run support and meditative groups. You'll have the bright green room with 2 twin beds facing southeast, great sunshine, fabulous views of hillside. Nearby cafes, farms, skiing, shops in town and we're 20 min in either direction to city of Hudson (west), and town of Great Barrington (east). We're right in between for a taste of quaint rural life. Other listing is a queen sized bed great for couples. Rent both for a family.
  • Liz's place was great. So close to our event and very comfy beds. The cool breeze of fresh mountain air through the windows was so relaxing. We loved having coffee available each morning. We hope to be back next year.

    Casey2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Liz’s hospitality was unswayed by her cough. Her home was warm and welcoming with plenty of space for hikers (like us) to unpack and repack. I enjoyed her book with quotes and the ability to control the temperature in our room with a space heater. I had a very relaxing and zen girls trip with my friend Jenny thanks to the rest I got in Liz’s quiet home, off the beaten path. It was the perfect escape from the city. We did see her goats at dawn when we woke up for our first hike. Although probably normal to some, very cool for a New Yorker 😂 The room is in the middle of her home with a shared bathroom, but I didn’t feel uncomfortable since Liz made us feel welcome.

  • Very beautiful country view, the landlord is very good, she has some goats. The room where the guest lives is large and clean. Thank Landlord Liz.

    Ping2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a one of a kind experience. Liz was very helpful and responded swiftly. There is still some remodeling and building going on, such as the construction of a green house and some house projects. We had an exquisite meal where everyone contributed some groceries. It was particularly special that 5 goats had been born less than a week ago and we also got to learn how one can teach a reluctant goat mom how to feed their kid. We observed how kombucha is made and split wood and lit the wood stove. our time there was very calming and different from our busy city life.

Situated on a quiet country road just 15 minutes from Hudson, this free-standing guest house was renovated in 2019 and furnished with new, high quality mattresses as well as local, vintage pieces and art. During your stay you are welcome to explore the farm, hike throughout 80 wooded acres, or take a dip in the stream or our spring fed pond.
Our two bedroom guesthouse is located on the second floor of a converted barn, originally built in the 1940's. Churchtown and the surrounding area is beautiful but rural and cell connection can be poor, depending on your provider. We offer a wifi hotspot for guests that reliably delivers email and web browsing but video conferencing can be choppy and big file downloads can slow. The east bedroom is appointed with blackout honeycomb shades. Note that the kitchen has a large convection oven that doubles as a microwave instead of a standard sized oven. The stovetop is electric and has four burners.
We are 2 miles down the road from the Churchtown Dairy, where you can see the cows milked at 4pm every day. We are a 12 minute drive from Hudson, great coffee shops, bars, antiques and restaurants. Lake Taghkanic state park is less than 10 minutes away with boat rentals, swimming and a concession stand. Last but not least, the beautiful Bash Bish waterfall hike is just 30 minutes away.
  • Great hosts, good location, comfortable stay. We cook, and are suckers for a functional kitchen. Love that center island. The range is electric, and the "oven" is a convention microwave, but we still enjoyed it. Could comfortably sleep two couples, though we had the place to ourselves.

  • The apartment is very charming and comfortable. The property is amazing! Beautiful trails in the woods for our morning hikes. Close to Hudson. The hosts left suggestions for things to do, including Churchtown Diary farm which was super fun to visit with our 4.5 yr old. He loved watching the cows getting milked and seeing all the chickens and pigs. Great getaway from NYC!

Scott came to greet us when we arrived by car and gave us a brief tour of the place. The fridge was stocked with fresh eggs & cream and plenty of cooking utilities for the electric stove. Very communicative prior to arrival. Highly recommended!

  • Our weeklong stay on Caitlin's charming farm was the highlight of my Airbnb year - the farmhouse space was warm, cozy and perfectly decorated, and I extra appreciated the plush pillows, custom art and premium sheets. Caitlin and Scott were super welcoming and responsive hosts, as well. It was wonderful to be able to take such a calming vacation away from the city and to be able to bring our pup. Thanks again!

  • The place is a great for a weekend away. Beautiful location on a farm and plenty of space for 3-4 people. The kitchen is really big so great for bigger dinners. Plenty of activities and restaurants around as well.

  • We loved our stay at Caitlin and Scott's place for our anniversary weekend. Their guest apartment was super cozy and had everything we needed for cooking a few of our meals in the space. Caitlin and Scott left us some fresh eggs and milk and had excellent recommendations for things to do during our stay- we loved the Churchtown Dairy cow milking tour, walking around their property, and our dinner at Gaskins.

Ten minutes from Great Barrington, Simon's Rock, Butternut and Stockbridge, twenty to Tanglewood, I-90 and Kripalu, in a secluded and peaceful setting among old trees. Free ranging ducks contribute eggs and entertainment. Lots of windows and a lofty ceiling keep you cool in the summer, baseboard heat keeps it toasty. Teas, and really good coffee is provided. There is plenty of comfortable seating, and a smart, 40" TV streaming Netflix. The sleeping loft is accessed by a secure, well lit ladder.
Great Barrington is charming, eclectic and great for a stroll. The area is perfect for biking. Gently rolling hills, picturesque countryside, mostly respectful drivers, and a bike path through town. The Treehouse is conveniently located between Butternut and Catamount.
  • Claire was an amazing host. Her communication with us was quick and always had an answer. Her waffle recipe is awesome , the duck eggs she provides are such a bonus, and the coffee really hit the spot. The space of The Nest was the perfect size for my fiance and i, felt like a cozy home and the bed is very comfortable. There are also many things in the area to do. We will definatly be going back. Thank you so much Claire!

  • This place has a really cool lofted bedroom, full kitchen, and eclectic art. It was very cozy! I loved hearing the ducks when they walked by the windows. The duck eggs were an awesome bonus!

  • We’d stay here again. The duck eggs and cat were amazing.

  • A great stay, and experience! Claire was very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed. An adorable, secluded and private getaway perfect for two!

    Melissa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a wonderful, relaxing extended weekend. Claire is so friendly and welcoming! She responds quickly to messages and is very accommodating. We stayed in both "The Nest" and "The Treehouse". Both places are clean, inviting, and stocked with all the necessities. The decor is fun and the beds are beyond comfortable. We really loved watching the ducks, and the eggs Claire provided us with are delicious. The location is quiet and allows for privacy, but shopping, dining, and activities are just a 5-7 minute drive away. This trip provided much needed relaxation and we couldn't have asked for a better host.

Ten minute drive over the border into Massachusetts for great restaurants and attractions or twenty five minutes to Hudson or Rhinebeck as well. The apartment is perfect for two people with all the amenities you will need and it cozy and comfortable. We will definitely be staying with Cori again in the future.

    John And Danielle2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Cori’s AirBnb! Hillsdale offered much more than we expected for a small town. We had an amazing brunch at the Crossroads Food Shop. We also had a great dinner downstairs at Hillsdale House. We couldn’t even believe the restaurant was below us, we never heard any noises from it during our stay. Hillsdale was a quiet town, and although the apartment is near the main road the traffic noise was much less than expected. The space had such a cozy atmosphere with beautiful details, very comfortable bedding and stylish furnishings. We loved our stay and would definitely come back again! Thank you Cori for offering such amazing accommodations!

  • Cute apartment located in a perfect location in Hudson. Communication with Michael was fast and easy and same goes for the check-in/check-out. Thanks for letting stay!

    Amal2020-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • I had a very nice and comfortable stay at Michael's place. The the decor and character of this Airbnb is very unique and I mean that in a positive way. The apartment is situated on the lower level inside of a townhouse. Despite being on the lower level I never heard much of any noise coming from the upstairs apartment. The apartment has its own entrance and is private which is a plus. The apartment is quite spacious with a small make shift kitchen (microwave, mini refrigerator, Nespresso, electric water boiler). The apartment isn't huge but for 2-3 people it a perfect size, there's also a daybed in the first room that has pull out mattress so it is possible to accommodate more guest. At the back end of the apartment opposite the bedroom there is a small patio area that is quite enjoyable especially on sunny days. It's a perfect area to go outside and have a cup of coffee, and enjoy your meal. I found myself out on the patio quite a bit as it was very peaceful and secluded. So all in all I really like Michael's place. I liked the eclectic decor, the bevy of books, the Apple TV that was signed into Netflix for easy viewing, not to mention the Nespresso maker in the kitchen that makes a great cup of coffee, and I almost forgot, I really was liking the heated floors throughout the apartment (even the bathroom) that's easily controlled by Google nest. The surrounding area is beautiful with two churches on each end of the block, post office down the block and nearby stores, bars and restaurants that are a short 10 minutes walk or just a 3 to 4 minute car ride. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is visiting the area, as I mentioned the kitchen is small but If you're not planning to do your own cooking and can get by with a mini fridge and microwave this place is really worth checking out.

  • Such a unique space! We truly enjoyed the homey feel of this apartment. The occasion we were traveling for was not a happy one, and it was comforting to come “home” at night. Mr. Michael was very accommodating to rent us his space during such uncertain times. Check in and check out were a breeze and communication was excellent!

    Kathy2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is the cutest little apartment in the best location. We went in the winter, and the heated floors were SUCH a treat. Great for a cozy getaway from the city. Michael also had great recommendations for the area. We will be back!

  • I was coming to the area for medical reasons under the shadow of COVID 19 outbreak for just one night. I chose Anton’s place because it was in nature, there was a place to cook, all other reviews had been great. What I discovered was completely unexpected! Anton is creating a place for the soul to rest. When I travel I usually go for a completely private space, but my instincts brought me here. Anton doesn’t only open his place to others, but himself. He was interested in who I am, as I was in him. He visited with me and offered me a beautiful and peaceful experience. We sat on the porch and listened to the chorus of peepers in the pond sipping hot tea, and talked about common interest, he walked me through a secret path to a place nearby to watch the sunset over the Catskills mountains as we shared our thoughts on the state of the world. I was completely at ease, which is unusual for me in a new place. The accommodations were simple and comfortable with nice touches like the organic shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. The space was clean and fresh. I hope to return sometime in the future!

    Ana-Aegi2020-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Taiga was absolutely wonderful. Anton has an extraordinarily beautiful home that perfectly sums up the name “wellness retreat”. It is also conventionally located near several towns with good food and shopping (e.g. Hudson), as well as a decent drive to hiking in the Catskills. I can not recommend this stay enough! Absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway.

    Rose2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Taiga is a place to slow down, to find peace within. Located in a healthy and beautiful community, this place is ideal to disconnect from the vicissitudes of life and reconnect with Nature and your true Nature. Anton is also a skillful massage therapist, if you need it. Highly recommended.

    Therese2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Anton’s home is truly magical. From the nature engulfing the cabin, to the calm and cozy interior, to Anton’s Qigong meditations and bodywork, my partner and I were thoroughly impressed with our stay, especially for the affordable price. We are excited to return in the summer!

    Maria2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our weekend away at Taiga Retreat was just what we were hoping for: a quiet, relaxing, and welcoming place -- a home away from home for a few days. Anton created a very warm and comforting environment, which helped us (my partner and I) recharge and reconnect, taking time to just be with and listen to each other. Anton also took time to engage in conversation with us, and my partner received some helpful bodywork while we were there. I highly recommend staying at Taiga Retreat for anyone looking for a place to reconnect, relax, reflect, recharge, etc.

    Daniel2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Another amazing weekend stay, thank you!

    Boris2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the Taiga Retreat was one of the most amazing and memorable experiences for my wife and myself. Anton lived up to the expectations you can imagine - from educational point of view and as professional Master of Healing modalities. He also educated us on a lot of Qi Qong principles and opened up a completely new world of mindfulness and spirituality within ourselves. We are definitely looking forward staying at his place again in a future and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to explore different healing techniques and modalities. Thank you, Anton!

    Boris2019-11-03T00:00:00Z

Wifi worked though isn't the fastest if that's what you need. A bit of a drive from shops and restaurants so you should bring food for a few meals with you. If coming for Suarez bring a growler in case they don't have cans of everything you want.

  • Merry's home is full of charm and located in a beautiful area of the Berkshires. My dog and I had a wonderful stay.

    Jodie2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Merry's 1820's farmhouse is a big ,furnished period- style 'real home of Merry'... The property setting is very pretty...Merry has 3 adorable dogs and 4 cats that live indoors a lot.. Outside are free range ducks and hens.... One gets a sense of an earlier historical period, and a sense of a small -style of farmlet. Merry, her partner Guy, and the 'house and farm animals' all help you feel accepted... The bed was comfortable, aling with the rest if the house, (which is shared) and there were some good local tips, lovely fall leaf-peaking, and gregarious vibes...

  • Merry’s place is wonderful! The view on top of the hill is amazing. At night, there’s a constellation of fireflies with the soundtrack of grey frogs and ducks. The home has so much character and history as well, being built in the early 19th century. Not to mention, merry is a warm and inviting host! Will be coming back.

  • Danny & Douglas’ home is truly beautiful. The charm of their home cannot be understated, so many modern personal touches mingling with the rustic charm of a home built in the mid 1800s. Their kitchen was well stocked, and they even included homemade cookies in a welcome package. The neighborhood is quiet and quaint, it’s also centrally located to hip towns and stunning natural beauty alike. They were very flexible about check in, which meant a lot to me. • What a great place to stay and a perfect host! Merry made us feel right at home right from the start with a tour of the house and room and super insightful suggestions on all the the surrounding areas. Loved the home's country setting. Merry's house is cozy, clean, comfortable, with a spacious bedroom and bathroom and a warm and inviting feel. It couldn't be more conveniently located to all the Berkshires/Hudson Valley has to offer with its central location. It was a less than half hour ride from the house to explore West Stockbridge and Stockbridge Mass to attend a play we loved that evening at the Unicorn Theatre, part of the Berkshire Theatre Group. We spent the next day exploring and enjoying downtown Hudson New York which is less than a half hour away as well in the opposite direction with all its fun places to explore, shop, and eat. That was totally from Merry's great suggestion as we had no idea Hudson was so close and so fun as it was not on our agenda. Great personal communication from Merry before, during, and after the visit, it was nice knowing she was so easy to contact and seems to be a truly natural host. Would love to stay again, Thank you Merry, you're what makes AirBNB so special!

    John2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Merry's house is spacious and homey with beautiful old wood floors, great light from large windows, and lots of welcome little touches in keeping with the era and location. Mom particularly loved the handwoven baskets and creels. The bedroom was large and nicely appointed, as was the shared bathroom and coffee makings were all laid out for the morning.

    Kathy2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Merry’s Sunset room was the perfect place for us to recharge in between hiking excursions in the Hudson valley. Merry met us when we checked in and gave us very clear directions about the house, and also lots of local recommendations that we loved. The home is quiet and clean and we slept very well on the mattress and warm blankets. We went to the farmers market on Saturday morning (at Merry’s recommendation!) and then brought breakfast back to eat in the quaint adorable kitchen. We went hiking to Sunset Rock and Bash Bish falls, and also Harvey Mountain. We had delicious dinner in Hudson. A wonderful and relaxing weekend trip. Lovely home to stay in if you need to get away.

  • I would highly recommend staying at Ilya's place. There is an Old World feel to it, while simultaneously offering modern decor and amenities. The toasty fireplace will keep you warm and toasty even on a cold winter night! Ilya was very easy to talk to, and made me feel right at home. I also want to add that Hudson was beyond anything I could have imagined - if you love antiques, history and a town that prides itself in restoring old building to accommodate world-class cafes, artisanal shops and restaurants then this is the place for you to visit!

    Ibela2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very grand! A real old American experience with all the modern comfort. The room was extremely comfortable and Ilja a very nice and helpful host. Hudson is just down the road and a very cute town.

    Alexandre2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Loved, loved, loved our stay! We decided to go up to Hudson on the spur of the moment during our daughters' midwinter break. Ilija's beautiful home, the Catherine Bushnell Mansion, a historical landmark, looked very appealing. The rooms seemed very well appointed and tastefully designed. We were not disappointed. The room was impeccably clean. The best part: the in-room fireplace which made for a very cozy stay on a cold and wintry day. Our host was very thoughtful in providing amenities such as toiletries, microwave, small refrigerator and our favorite: several warm throws and plenty of extra blankets and down comforters. He also provided coffee, teas, bottled water and cookies in the charming kitchen. Ilja was incredibly helpful and present. He was very responsive and gave great tips about where to eat and what to see and do around Hudson. When you go, take his advice and go to Hudson Food Studio and Le Perche. We discovered Verdigris which has to-die-for hot chocolate. Already planning our summer and fall visits, and hope Ilija's is available!

  • Iija’s home is beautiful! It’s a quick drive into town and extremely cozy. When we arrived there was a fire burning in our room and a punch of cookies in the kitchen to eat. They really went out of their way to make us happy and comfortable. I’d highly recommend!

    Wendy2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place and great host. Ilja provided lots of information and is an incredibly friendly host. The room was nicely sized for our 3 person family (2 adults + 1 child). Dining room, lounge and other areas were shared. Close to Hudson and we were not disappointed by the recommended dining options. Overall, highly recommended! Thanks again Ilya.

    Christian2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! We were cozy in our double queen bed room. Location was great! Hosts were great. A lovely weekend!

    Cindy2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Ilja’s. He was extremely welcoming right from our arrival and gave us great suggestions for restaurants and nightlife. Our room was very clean and it was located on the opposite side of the house which gave us privacy. The house itself is located about a 5 minute drive outside of the main town area on a nice piece of property. It was nice to be surrounded by the quiet!

    Daniela2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Ilja’s home! Both he and Julius were extremely accommodating and made us feel right at home. The mansion is beautiful with lots of lovely historic details. The room was very comfortable and felt secluded enough from the rest of the house. The location feels very rural, yet you’re only about ten minutes away from downtown Hudson. Ilja and Julius were even so kind as to give us a ride into town. Highly recommend and hoping to stay again!

  • Gethen was very hospitable! During our short stay, she provided us with recommendations for hiking. Provided fresh eggs and s'more supplies, when the wine opener broke she dropped off a new one and when I accidently locked the bathroom door she came to open it. This air bnb is in a quiet location near farmland and a great weekend getaway! We loved our stay!

    Meghan2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful spot! We enjoyed such a cozy stay at Gethen's. Waking up to the gorgeous mountain views was our favorite part of the trip. We will absolutely be back!

    Claire2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay in this awesome camper! It was well stocked, clean, and roomy. Communication was quick and easy before and after. Highlights of our short time here: S’more pancakes (we were too tired to stay up late for s’mores), enjoying some fresh farm eggs, watching Ice Age (one and two), admiring the view of the Catskills, a surprisingly refreshing shower experience (I’m almost 6’4” and there’s no way I thought this would work in a trailer but it did), and the fenced-in courtyard area which had a real Zen feel but also served to keep the kids corralled. But the most impressive part of our experience came shortly after we left. I had left my youngest son’s stuffed animal behind. A couple hours later, Grethen texted a picture of the orphaned puppy and offered to mail it back to us. We were already well on our way by then so this was a very gracious offer. Overall, we had a great stay! The boys have decided we need to come back next year.

    Rob2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful! The only reason we gave her 5 stars is because we couldn’t give 6!

    Becca2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Such cute little touches like fresh eggs and s’mores making kit and a wonderful area with farm animals and fields! Highly recommend!

    Rhiannon2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was wonderful, wish we could have stayed longer. Farm fresh eggs were the perfect breakfast. Beautiful views, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Definitely would recommend!

    Katie2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at Gethens. Very comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Awesome view and location

    Ben2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Gethen’s place! Our first experience in an RV and it was a great one. She had a greatly stocked kitchen (we made pizza, grilled burgers, and made pancakes & eggs successfully). The patio space is real nice for day and night hangs. Bed was big and comfy, the sofa bed (seems to have only been one) was decent, but if you have a bad back I would say not ideal. Shower works great - hot water too. The space was clean. Good for family or friends!

  • Ingrids place is clean comfortable and perfect for a couple. The area is great for hiking in the spring, fall, and summer.

    Gretchen2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Ingrid’s place for a ski trip and it was nothing short of amazing. The amenities, location, cleanliness, and communication was beyond our expectations. Highly recommend Ingrid’s place to anyone looking to stay in the area. We will be returning again soon!

    Taylor2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ingrid's space really exceeded our expectations. There were so many thoughtful and elegant touches. We were impressed! It was a very high quality Airbnb; one of the best we've stayed at. The only thing I'd mention is that an electric fireplace apparently doesn't produce real flame, something that I wasn't aware of when booking. While I may not have booked the space if I was aware that an electric fireplace is more like a space heater, I'm still glad that we stayed there because everything was so lovely otherwise. We wouldn't hesitate to book again if we were in the area.

  • A lovely and scenic spot for two. Very clean, modern and charming all at once. Ingrid was always available for any questions or needs. Highly recommended!

    George2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Ingrid’s home is beautiful, cozy and serene and was one of the nicest Airbnbs we have stayed in. She was very communicative about check in instructions, and her home has many thoughtful touches like local recommendations, chocolates, candles and a variety of teas and coffee. We plan to visit again in summer to take advantage of the in enclosed deck!

  • When I wanted to book a 'one month before wedding' getaway for my fiancee and I, 'the cabin', as we took to referring to it after our wonderful first visit two years ago, was my first and only thought. We love this place! It's so warm and cozy, great for a quiet weekend away. Laurence and Ilze are total pros, the cabin is perfectly set up as an AirBNB, and they have thought of everything. Perfect hosts. Can't wait to return!

    Matt2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend Ilse and Laurence's cozy and charming house. We are a family of four avid skiers who stayed at the house a number of weekends this winter while we skied at nearby Catamount Ski Resort. The house lives up to the lovely photos. Decorated in a homey, country style, it is clean, well maintained and well outfitted and the location, just off the Taconic and Rte 23 is very convenient. The hosts are very responsive and accommodating while fully respectful of our privacy. Its a great value worthy of the excellent reviews.

    Jonathan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is simply... amazing. Perfectly located off the Taconic, near plenty of restaurants and activities. The home itself and so cozy. Beautifully decorated, very clean, charming, lots of space! Ilze welcomed us as soon as we arrived and was quick to respond to all our questions. It was so pleasant, we ended up extending our stay. Thank you Ilze!!

    Kyle2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our time at Laurence and Ilze's nicely decorated home. You definitely feel like home. The only suggestion is if you plan to go there on a winter time, make sure your car is equipped. The house was awesome with so many cool places around to visit. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Eda2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at the Raspberry Ridge Cottage! It was a cosy and delightful spot to spend a few days in the winter season. Ilze and Laurence were easily accessible as we prepared for our trip and once there. We definitely plan on coming back!

Sheffield Lodge is a warm and inviting rustic Bed and Breakfast, secluded from the stressful city life, nestled in a forest of tall pines, maples, and birch trees. NOTE: The Everett Room is pet friendly. It is on the first floor near the entry door. Susan’s home is located in Sheffield, Massachusetts, United States. All within a 20 minute drive, there are activities galore throughout the Berkshires during its four glorious seasons. Summers in the Berkshires offer a continuous schedule of cultural events (Tanglewood music festival, Jacob's Pillow dance theater, theatrical stage productions and art museums), plus hiking, mountain climbing, and winery and spirits tours. Winter season offers skiing, hiking, or move indoors to the museums, stage performances and arts, crafts and antique shopping. Guests who seek nothing more than peace and quiet at the Lodge, may prefer to read, listen to music in their room, or in the living or dining rooms. While quietly enjoying the peaceful surrounding forest, there is always the possibility of seeing wildlife wandering through the property. In the spring the initial butterfly vegetable garden is planned along with a fire pit for toasting marshmallows with friends in the evening. Shoppers may enjoy visiting local artisan and antique shops, or discover unique dining experiences at nearby restaurants. A favorite lunch place for delicious home cooking is Mom's Cafe, just up the road.
  • Susan's place was wonderful! Great location, the breakfast was delicious, and the place was lovely. Would be happy to stay again

  • The Sheffield Lodge was an absolutely perfect getaway for the weekend! With hiking and skiing close by and only about 15 min to Great Barrington it was convenient but also tucked away in the woods at the same time. Susan was such a kind and generous host! Her breakfasts were delicious by the fireplace and she had great tips for exploring the area. We hope to come back and stay again!

    Lily2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's BnB was truly a wonderful find. Located just ten minutes from Great Barrington, it's a perfectly quiet little place to get away but still feel at home. Susan was so kind and accommodating. She made a wonderful breakfast and made sure we were well fed (even when we slept late and nearly missed breakfast hours), and also left out snacks during the day. She was attentive to our dietary restrictions, which was very appreciated. The room itself was cozy and situated with an electric blanket, and there was a very sweet back porch we sat on and drank coffee in the morning. There were a few cats roaming around which was also a cute plus. We had a lovely stay and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet getaway to the Berkshires.

    Julia2019-10-15T00:00:00Z

  • Staying with Susan has to be one of the best spots we've ever stayed at. Susan is wonderful, very accommodating, warm, friendly, and a great chef. Her breakfasts were a wonderful way to start the day. She is very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and gave us great suggestions for hiking trails. Besides all that, the residence was incredibly beautiful! Perfect spot to have a nice relaxing weekend. I highly recommend if you come across this spot to definitely book it asap! We can't wait to come back!

    Miguel2019-09-02T00:00:00Z

  • Susan runs a warm and welcoming lodge. We stayed in the Everett room which was great...a private bath and a nice little deck out back. We spent many an evening reading and enjoying a glass of wine. Every morning Susan served an amazing array of breakfast items: fruit, eggs, veggies, pastries...a great way to start the day. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend The Sheffield Lodge to our friends.

  • This Airbnb is lovely. The bedroom is spacious, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. The water pressure in the upstairs bathroom is great, and the coffee downstairs in the kitchen hit the spot.

  • It was such a delight to stay at Merry's place. It was clean, beautiful, had all the amenities we needed, and we felt very taken care of by Merry. The bedroom was very comfortable. It was especially fascinating that the house is from the 1800's. The pool was refreshing and the large and colorful property was a treat for the senses. Their tips on hikes and places to go were very useful and easy to follow. If you're looking for a wonderful place to stay in this area, this is it!

  • Great location! Lots of beautiful walks. The living area was lovely and comfortable, the shower was excellent, and the pool table was a great treat. Don't be fooled if the lake seems shallow, the minute it rains it becomes a beauty :)

  • Dionisio's home was pleasant, clean, and as described. We had a bit of a hiccup in the check-in process, but Dionisio's team worked with us on alternate accommodations, and got us set to check in as soon as possible.

This beautiful *completely renovated* second floor in an 1865 farm house will invite you with its open space, original craftsmanship and convenience to downtown Hudson (two blocks from Warren Street and all the trendy restaurants and antique shops), as well as a large outdoor balcony with dining table and chairs to enjoy the most peaceful views. The balcony is in my opinion the most relaxing spot in the entire house ready to take in the quiet mornings, lazy afternoons or gorgeous sunsets.
Brand new kitchen. Brand new bathroom. Queen size bed. Wall-to-wall bookshelves in a dreamy Gothic library. Original moldings, hardwood floors. Outdoor balcony with table and chairs. Clean, cozy, perfect for a week or weekend getaway.
Since you are literally two blocks from Warren Street, be sure to check out: Moto, for the best coffee; Cascades, for the best lunch sandwiches; Talbott and Arding for the upscale cheese, meats and lunch specials; as well as an array of bars, restaurants and shops. Further up Warren is my favorite restaurant: Hudson Food Studio.
  • What a charming place with floor to ceiling bookshelf in the main room and the same again in the bedroom. Nice and cozy with the gas fireplace keeping things toasty. The apartment retains its old charm with pops of modern decor and appliances. The couch is comfy too.

  • Reading the spines of the books makes you feel part of a community. Especially recommend to people who like to read, write, draw. It was great to have a desk in the bedroom. There are movies, events, and readings at TSL nearby.

  • We had a great stay! The apartment was super clean, and all of the books were a nice touch! Just two blocks off of Warren Street, so everything was a very short walk away.

Restored 19th century Carriage House that is now a charming one bedroom cottage. Views of orchards, gardens and pool. Peaceful relaxing setting in a small village that time has forgotten. A short drive to vibrant Hudson, Red Hook, Rhinebeck and the Berkshires and all of their amazing offerings.
A quiet rural village that is 10 minutes from Hudson, Red Hook and Bard College. The Berkshires are less than an hour.
  • Risa & Lewis's carriage house is really special. It's quiet, private, spacious, comfortable and cozy with full amenities and a warm gas-burning heating stove. Also enjoyed the sunny back patio in the morning. Lots of beautiful paintings and ceramics throughout the house. It's great for a getaway and for creative inspiration and focus.

  • Quietly located in the middle of a couple of different small towns so you're always a quick car ride away from different restaurants and attractions! The hosts are very welcoming and the space is very inviting and warm. The pictures do not do this place justice in terms of how quaint and charming the house is. You're minutes away from some spectacular breweries, Warren St., and half an hour drive from the Catskills. This is a fantastic getaway!

You can walk down to the lake and lay out by the lake or use the dock to launch your Jet ski, Boat, or Kayak. Ask for launching a boat in this lake. The kitchen is well stocked for most of anything you want to prepare to eat. Remember, this is our Lake House and we use this place often and keep it in top shape.
  • Alejandro’s place is a perfect place to get away for a weekend or even an extended stay. It is located conveniently equidistant from Hudson and Great Barrington and near many family friendly hiking trails. The house is immaculate and stylishly furnished and has everything you would need for your stay. Alejandro is also very attentive and responds quickly to questions. We have loved our stay on Copake Lake and have had fun exploring the area. We highly recommend Alejandro’s place!

    Alice2020-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Alejandro’s place was clean and perfect for our little getaway. Everything you need is there! Lake views were a highlight! Can’t wait to stay again.

    Joshua2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Alejandro's house was well appointed for our . It is nestled into a quite community where you can truly relax. Kitchen had all the tools needed to make great meals and layout of house was very convenient. Alejandro reached out to offer local tips as well as advice for having an enjoyable stay at the home. We would definitely stay here again if looking to be in the area for some snowsports.

    Boris2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had a lovely stay. While it was cold we were still able to enjoy the views of the lake. Would have loved to come in the summer. House was clean and beds were comfy.

    Caroline2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Alejandro’s house was fantastic! We took our two boys and two dogs to ski at Catamount. Very easy to get to the mountain, and a nice drive to Great Barrington. The house was beautifully styled, perfectly simple and uncluttered. It has everything you need. It was perfect for our kids (6,4yrs) but I might be nervous with toddlers/infants because the staircase upstairs doesn’t have a rail and the bedrooms are on different floors. My kids had fun with the board games. It was very comfortable. We’d love to come back again! Thank you!!

    Abby2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Not only is Alejandro’s home lovely and comfortable, but he is very responsive and was proactive to ensure that we were happy and had all that we needed. His house is on a fabulous location with views of Lake Copake, and it is very comfortable and well-designed. The decor is very calming, and this was one of the cleanest and best maintained AirB&Bs we have ever stayed in. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, which is well appointed for a vacation rental, and using the fireplace in the evenings as we were here on the coldest day so far this winter! The beds were very comfortable and the linens and towels were in excellent condition. There was coffee and soap, and even some pantry basics in the kitchen. We and our 2 big kids were very comfortable, and it was quite close to Catamount for skiing. Thanks for a great stay!

  • Really great location if you're looking to spend time out of the city and enjoy the fresh air and smell of a burning fireplace. 10/10 would recommend based on location, food options, and coziness.
