“Alexandra Park is a public park in Hastings. It occupies 109 acres, with its linear area stretching from the town centre out to residential areas. You can choose short or long walks through the vastly different areas, including reservoirs & lakes with wonderful wildlife, rose gardens, beautiful wooded areas, Cafe with play parks, tennis courts & the famous miniature railway. this wonderful park reminds me of Central Park in New York, but on a Hastings scale. I have happy childhood memories of spending whole summers in this park, where my Grandparents lived at the top most end.”
“The ruins we see today are the remains of a stone fortress (built after William of Normandy's coronation) which was practically impregnable from three sides”
“A modern restaurant making full use of the abundance of local produce. St Clement's seasonal menus include fish from Hastings’ beach launched fleet and produce is sourced from traditional butchers, rare-breed farms and non-intensive dairies, local farms, fishermen & grocers. It has a relaxed and informal atmosphere and is perfect for an intimate dinner. Accurately described in a July 2014 Telegraph review as "Michelin-level accomplishment with an easy-going charm". Perfect service and a real gem in the neighbourhood. I took my partner here for a birthday dinner and he loved it!”
“Because you need to eat everything in this shop - literally their almond croissants tastes like heaven, belgian buns bigger than your face and the best sausage roll I've had in ages”
“Delicious food here, breakfast, lunch and brunch menu, fantastic cakes and nice tea selection. Decent outdoor seating area but not great for views but the inside is fun! ”
