Zoo
“we took our grandchildren to the Hamilton Zoo and for Gus who loves to follow a map and find a reward, he wasnt disappointed at the rather exotic animals he found!!! He loved the walkways under the trees and seeing the tall giraffes heads over the wire enclosures was fascinating. The zookeeper was feeding the animals and Gus got to talk to him, and learnt about the personalities of the animals at the zoo. We brought a picnic and just sat under the trees then had an icecream at the onsite cafe- the hungry Morepork. This was a great day out for our family.”

Natural Feature
“Not for the faint of heart and we would recommend hiking boots or sneakers you're not afraid of getting covered in mud. In winter it's a pretty treacherous track, in summer it's more doable - but still muddy bits along the way. A real achievement when you make it to the top, and there is a Doc hut at the top that you can book if you're early enough.”

“With a large outdoor area in amongst the brewing tanks, the Dining Hall is the perfect spot for enjoying a glass of beer in the sunshine. Good George’s menu is crafted to match the beers, and their award winning ‘Blue Me, I’m Irish’ burger has gone on to receive popular acclaim. Proudly Hamilton, proudly Waikato - these enthusiasts are local favourites and community heroes. People gather a few times a week for confession, under the stained glass windows depicting hops and beer.”
