Set in peaceful, rural countryside yet within easy reach of Bath, Bristol and Wells, The Granary at Manor Farm is a beautiful old stone barn that has been converted to provide all the comforts you need for the perfect break. Bright and spacious with high ceilings, exposed beams, splashes of colour, contemporary furniture and access to an indoor pool and extensive gardens. The Granary at Manor Farm is on the upper half of a traditional Somerset stone barn. The accommodation comprises a bright, spacious open plan living and kitchen area plus a bedroom and bathroom. All rooms enjoy high ceilings, original oak beams and lots of light from the south facing windows. We have designed it to be private, peaceful and to take full advantage of the views across the garden and lovely Somerset countryside beyond. The Granary benefits from underfloor heating throughout and a Morso wood burning stove, so plenty of comfort for those who enjoy a quiet night in. Where possible we have retained or recycled features from the Granary’s previous incarnations to achieve an appealing blend of the old and rustic with the new and comfortable. The furniture and fabrics are all new. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher and large Liebherr fridge freezer. In the living area there's a TV, Freesat and blu-ray player. The bedroom is simply furnished with a kingsize divan bed and high quality 400tc cotton bedlinen. The bathroom has a free-standing bath with a separate, spacious dual-head rain shower and a double basin. Outside, we hope you will enjoy the extensive garden which we open one day each summer for the National Garden Scheme. There are lovely areas to sit and we can lend you a barbecue if you would like to enjoy some al fresco dining. Beyond the garden we have a couple of paddocks which are (usually) occupied by sheep, and the garden is surrounded by fields, so it is not over-looked. You will also have access to our indoor heated swimming pool and conservatory area in the lower half of the Granary building. Please let us know in advance when you would like to use the pool and we can make sure that you have exclusive access at the arranged time. We provide towels and bedlinen, soap and kitchen essentials. Our welcome basket includes milk, bread, tea, coffee and home made preserves. If the dates you are looking for aren't available don't forget we also have Manor Farm B&B listed on Airbnb. A huge, luxurious en-suite bedroom, delicious breakfast and the use of the swimming pool! The Granary is a self-contained holiday apartment. You will need a car (or bikes) to take full advantage of the local area and there is a large car parking space adjacent to the accommodation. We can provide secure storage for bikes. Guests with limited mobility need to note that it is a first floor apartment, accessed via external stone steps. The apartment itself is all on one level. Guests are welcome to use the large main garden and, by prior arrangement, the indoor swimming pool. We will do our best to ensure that the pool is available to use during your stay but occasionally there may be circumstances which will mean that we have to close it. We live in the original farmhouse with our two small boys. The Granary windows face away from the farmhouse, so you may hardly see us! However, we will usually be on hand to welcome you and help with any queries you might have. We will be happy to recommend places to go and things to see in the local area. Otherwise, we will leave you in peace to enjoy the space for yourselves. Stowey is in the heart of the Chew Valley on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Chew Valley Lake offers first class opportunities for fishing, sailing and birdwatching. Rural walks and bike rides can be accessed from the door and we are right on the edge of the Mendips with further opportunities to explore the beautiful Somerset countryside. There are many great pubs & restaurants close by including the Michelin starred Pony & Trap. Bristol, Bath and Wells are all easily reached. We are in great cycling and walking countryside but you will need a car to take full advantage of the area. We can provide taxi numbers, but please note that as we are in a rural area, taxis are best booked in advance. Babes in arms are welcome (and we can lend a travel cot with prior notice) but the apartment isn’t suitable for toddlers due to the external stone steps and ponds in the garden. Stowey is in the heart of the Chew Valley on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Chew Valley Lake offers first class opportunities for fishing, sailing and birdwatching. Rural walks and bike rides can be accessed from the door and we are right on the edge of the Mendips with further opportunities to explore the beautiful Somerset countryside. Restful Retreat with garden in Farrington Gurney

Bring in the day amid wood surfaces and classic cabinetry in a bright kitchen as you cook a delectable breakfast to enjoy on the garden patio. Sprawl out with a paperback on the sofa amid charming fixtures, nature-inspired decor, and hardwood floors. A 1 bedroom self contained bungalow in the grounds of our house, all newly refurbished with tasteful decor throughout. The bedroom has a double bed but we can also offer a sofa bed in the living room, additional single inflatable floor mattress & travel cot (if needed). We provide fresh bedding & towels and even though we don’t offer breakfast we also provide fresh bread, butter, milk and bottled water on arrival. We are dog friendly for which blankets, dog bowls, treats etc are also provided. In addition to this we also have a private lawned/patio area to the side of the annex which can be made completely secure for dogs or children. You will have the use of the entire bungalow, off street parking & private garden with lawned/patio area to the side of the annex. We are on hand should guests need us or have any queries, but we also respect our guests privacy. The home is located in a country setting in Farrington Gurney, just down the road from the Farrington Park Golf Club. A handful of quaint eateries and pubs are all nearby, as is the local produce and bakery at the Farrington Farm Shop. If arriving by car then off street parking is available for 1 or more cars. The main bus route is located on the A37 which is about a 5/10 minute walk from the property. If you are looking to go further, Wells is about 10 miles, City of Bath is 8 Miles and Bristol is approximately 15 miles, all by car/bus.

The Pretty Shed, near Bath.

Rustic, self-contained outbuilding, at the top of my garden. Private, cosy space with double bed, electric hotplate, heater, tea & coffee, lots of reading material and covered area for morning tea with the birds. Glamping for a fraction of the cost with electricity, but no running water. Water is provided in a 10l container, chemical flushing toilet in the same room. 20 mins from Bath, 20 mins from Wells, 30 mins from Bristol. Off road parking. Own car ideal, but 522 Bristol/Bath bus is hourly.
