  • We had a very relaxing stay at Jenn’s place - it was just as described with many thoughtful touches including fresh flowers, milk, coffee pods and other useful condiments. Jenn was also very proactive, checking in to ensure we were ok during our stay. The balcony is very private being at the end of the row and we enjoyed watching the birds, wallabies and potteroos with sundowners on an evening. Check out the gin distillery next to the onsite winery too - great distinctive flavours and a friendly host/ owner.

    Phil2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is pretty much exactly as listed. Modern, clean and well equipped with views to the vineyard and river, and the bonus of wallabies in the scrub below at dusk. We both loved it and would happily recommend a stay.

    Simon2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer’s home was beautiful, stunning views of the vineyard and lots of local wildlife to see. A quick 15 min drive to the city hub and plenty of wineries nearby. We will definitely be returning!

  • Jennifer was an excellent host with a lot of communication and local tips that were very helpful. The apartment is beautifully decorated with a lovely view over the vineyard. Would recommend for those looking for a nice place to stay outside of Launceston.

  • Our stay at Jennifer’s is one we won’t forget. From the rain on the tin roof, the amazing view and the spacious bath! The added touches of stunning floral arrangements made it that extra special. All amenities are supplied to cook for yourself or if you like to eat out we had dinner at two very close restaurants. I can’t wait to visit this wonderful apartment again!

This is a tiny room on a steep busy street with no parking. You may have to park 300m away. There is a gravel driveway with difficult access and a big step. There is a young loud family of 4 upstairs with 2 dogs, we are not ninjas. There is another Airbnb next door adjacent to the room. The heat pump is next to the bed and may be noisy. Please note we are in the middle of renovating.
  • Good little room when heading through Launceston. Street parking across a main road can be a bit dicey if you have a lot of baggage - we left it all in the car. But the bed and room was comfortable and clean. Louis recommended Burger Junkie for dinner and it was great.

    Tash2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent communication and easy check in with lockbox, close to town we walked everywhere, cute apartment and breakfast provided - just what we needed for a short stay in Launceston.

    Ej2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy little spot (as the name suggests) in good location

    Hanne2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot, lovely views, very relaxing and cosy. Thoughtful inclusions for breakfast and meal prep.

    Roberta2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place is small but it was all we needed and for the price it was great! The breakfast items were well stocked and the place was very clean. Communication with the hosts was quick and easy. We had a nice stay :)

    Stephanie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Good little place, clean, cool design, good location and a great host who replies really quick to your messages!

    Luca2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Louis’ space was clean & cozy, complete with stylish decor (love the lights!) and an easily navigable entry. The sweet touch of bacon, eggs, muesli and milk (which we would’ve loved had we not hit the road early to get to the spectacular Freycinet National Park- just 2 hours from Louis’ place) in conjunction with the quick and friendly responses made this a really lovely stay :)

    Freya2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • A quite good value considering the location...easy check in when I needed flexibility...quiet, comfortable, affordable, private, and walkable to decent eateries... (Steves at Centenial) and easy parking off street. Enjoyable and entirely worth the journey.

Quirky , small, clean and tidy , close to city, bus stop 2 minutes walk, city 25 mins walk, You will walk past The Cataract Gorge and the Marina to get into the city. Close to the Tailrace park, walking and cycling tracks. Pleasant backyard to sit in , have coffee and enjoy the sunshine. Tasmania Zoo is 25 minute drive away and The Wetlands 10 minutes drive. Trevallyn Dam Reserve also about a 10 minute drive.
Not modern, however unique and quirky, clean, tidy and neat, everything which is required apart from clothes washing facilities. This however can be negotiated with the host.
  • The studio was clean, comfortable and Susan kindly left a few groceries for me. The location was good, though as described in the listing there is traffic noise at times. All in all a good place to stay for a week, or longer

    Diana2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Susan’s place exceeded my expectations in every possible way. The place is very well laid out, which makes it feel much larger than it is. There are extra touches at every step, from breakfast supplies to snacks to toiletries and even scissors when we needed them! What little we didn’t have, Susan went out of her way to provide. We didn’t get to meet, but she made her warmth and generosity felt nonetheless. I wouldn’t dream of staying elsewhere next time I’m in Lonny!

    Alex2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for around a month and I can't say anything bad about the place or about the host. Loved the place, very quiet and clean. And Susan is wonderful, every time I needed something she responded right away. Great choice.

Our comfortable modern industrial style apartment is situated in our private oasis of a garden. With a queen bed, quality linen, fast unlimited wifi and Netflix. We have a few gorgeous chickens, a Springer spaniel pup and red kelpie dog. Located 15min walk to CBD, and 5min to shops and other necessities. Safe on-street parking directly out the front.
The studio space comfortably suits a couple. A kitchenette and fridge for the late night snack or a 3 course meal. The apartment is very private on its own floor with newly renovated bathroom. Our home is on the next level, so occasionally you may hear footsteps from above, as you might see from our reviews this is very rarely an issue, however we want to be transparent about the space. The accomodation is very safe and private with gated entry.
We live opposite Invermay Oval, a stones throw from UTAS Stadium, a short walk to Heritage Park and the North Esk river. We don't have any direct neighbours, so although an active area the accomodation is private and quiet. That being said, occasionally it can be a little active when the oval is being used across the road. Deli, grocery, laundromat restaurants and shops are a 5 min walk away.
  • Cozy, stylish and convenient location close to downtown, the Gorge and the beautiful Tamar Valley vineyards. Sparking clean and great hosts. Would highly recommend!

    Heather2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • With it's quirky/rustic styling, little treats (yum - fresh bread for breakfast!), a comfortable bed with big cosy pillows and a beautiful garden setting you will feel right at home in Anthony's studio. During our week long stay the resident dogs, Bam and Augie, kept us amused and greeted us like long lost friends when we returned home each day. They are gorgeous.

    Jill2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • The guest suite is a fantastic combination of stylish and cozy. There was a super helpful folder of local recommendations on what to see and do, as well as the best cafes and restaurants in town. Communication was easy and timely, check in was a breeze and Anthony was a welcoming host. If we’re ever back in Launceston we’d definitely stay here again!

    James2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had three nights at this stylish and comfortable studio. Access was streamlined via a key pad, and the thoughtfully designed studio is in a lovely old Launceston weatherboard, set in a beautiful garden. We were greeted warmly on Friday evening by August the young springer spaniel, and enjoyed every aspect of our stay - from the super comfortable bed, to the lovely walk-in shower, great wi-fi and streaming services, as well as a convenient location just out of the city. An added bonus was a Sunday morning walk on a nearby pathway along the scenic Tamar River.

    Jane2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and plenty of street parking. We loved the freshly baked bread - the smell of it was super welcoming when we stepped into the house and it was delicious! Overall, great place for a stop over with yummy food and attractions nearby.

    Alvin2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The studio was so stylish and set in beautiful gardens. It had everything we needed and more - we were very lucky to get fresh bread and eggs from the chickens for breakfast.

  • Anthony and Leeroy's space is lovely. So stylish and cozy. A basement unit that still feels airy and bright! The fresh bread was a lovely tough, as were the eggs. The garden was beautiful and I wish we had more time to enjoy it. As a basement unit it did have a bit of noise from movement upstairs but it didn't affect our stay. Thanks so much Anthony and Leeroy! Would definitely stay again!

The historic cottage which began life as the Rosevears Post Office (circa 1900's precise build date is unknown), is located directly opposite the river on a level plateau to the front of the property. Rosevears is situated along the picturesque Rosevears Drive, a meandering 8km stretch of road which follows the waterside of the Tamar River. The drive between Launceston and Rosevears is a scenic pleasure.

The views were beautiful, it was conveniently located (we loved having the Rosevears Hotel next door for dinner - and yet, no noticeable noise!) - and easy to visit many local attractions. The cottage provided everything we needed, felt welcoming, and was great value. Also enjoyed visits from neighbouring friendly chickens. Thanks Bec and Tom!

Kate and Liam’s home is located between Exeter and Glengarry, in the picturesque Tamar Valley. This area is located in Northern Tasmania, and is only approximately 50 minutes from the Spirit of Tasmania, and 30 minutes from Launceston.
We have recently completed the renovations on a unit that we have on our property, which has now made it a very comfortable and warm environment. The unit is not attached to the main house, so you will have full privacy. And free wifi :-) Guests will have full access to the unit, which has a small bathroom (with shower), queen sized bed, fridge, oven, toaster, kettle, and basic kitchen utensils. Guests will also have access to the outside entertainment/deck area. Our property is a hobby farm where you will see chooks, livestock, and a small cherry orchard. We also have pet dogs, which are friendly and spend most of the time inside the main house. We are happy for guests to bring your dog/s along, however prior notice is requested and they must remain on a leash at all times when outside, and they don’t rest or sleep on our furniture. Please note that the unit is comfortable for 2 people, however we do have a portable single bed if more than 2 people are wanting to stay, to a maximum of 3 people (the 3rd person will be an extra $20). Please contact us prior to booking so we can assist.
  • This was a perfect place to explore the area from, Kate and Liam were excellent hosts, and the apartment was spotlessly clean and comfortable - has absolutely everything you need! Would love to stay again!

  • We loved staying here! It was very clean, comfortable and cozy! Kate is very nice and helpful! Highly recommend 😁

    Helena2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, so much so we ended up staying a week ! The cabin is well designed, spacious & very well equipped. Liam & Kate were extremely flexible and able to bring our accommodation forward at the last minute. Despite them both being extremely busy, communication before and during our stay was excellent and they provided us with some great local travel tips. The location itself is very central to the Tamar Valley, Launceston, North Coast and the Western Tiers region, so it makes an ideal base. Thanks again Liam & Kate, we're sure we'll be back!

  • A quiet place with pleasant sites out the window. Very easy to find.

  • Clean and comfortable place for my wife, 2 year old and myself. My daughter loved feeding the chickens and collecting eggs in the morning. Comfy and practical throughout. Would much prefer staying here than in the city

  • Julia's lovely backyard cottage is located under a giant oak tree in a quiet area near to Launceston's amazing wetlands discovery park. There were so many special touches in the cottage from quality reading material to yummy breakfast food to a soft and comfy bed. While the area is not spacious, we were more than comfortable. The surrounding garden complete with chooks is lovely and communications with Julia was easy.

  • Comfort, good facilities, very good hospitality.

    Brian2019-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Julia's place is very nice. The bedroom is rather small (and so is the bed) - but the unit has a very comfortable living room with a small kitchen and a balcony on top. From there, the view is lovely. Julia added a lot of small details here and there that make the apartment very cozy and home-like. Julia was very responsive and nice to talk to. We would always stay there again and recommend others to stay with Julia!

This mini house was our trial run in building our main home using passive house principles. It is very cosy in Winter and just a pleasant place to be. We are approx 1 km from the centre of Westbury. The cottage is suitable for a couple, however the extra single bed does enable some flexibility for guests. We charge $20.00 for use of the extra bed. (i.e. f you wish to use both beds, the site requires you to book for 3 people.)
We have been interested in sustainable architecture and design since the 70s and have finally managed to realise our vision of creating an ecologically friendly homestead, using double glazed windows and a German-designed breathable membrane with ducted air system in the walls and ceiling of the buildings to maximise thermal efficiency and reduce our carbon footprint.
The quaint little village of Westbury, centrally located in the Northern Tasmania, is the perfect base from which to explore Launceston, Devonport, the Tamar wineries, Cradle Mountain, the Mole Creek Caves, the Northwest, and, of course our local attractions. •Nestled under the Great Western Tiers, Westbury is a classic Georgian village, surrounded by hedgerows and bursting with old English charm. It was established in the 1820's as a garrison town, and many of these buildings are still in evidence. Today Westbury is a classified historic town with plenty of attractions and charm. These include: •The stately Fitzpatrick’s Inn with its quaint little bar. •The picturesque English style Village Green. •The Westbury Maze and Cafe, a traditional hedge maze with over 1 km of pathways. • Pearn's Steam World, a collection of over 200 examples of historic agricultural machinery. Houses one of the largest collections of working steam engines in the world. •John Temple's Gallery where you will find quality photographs from all over Tasmania. •1840s White House Bakery at the southern end of the Village green. •Anglican Church where there are 13 examples of Nellie Payne’s wood carvings. •A short drive to Carrick where you will find the Copper Art Gallery. Westbury is a 25-min drive (34 km) west of Launceston and 45 min drive to the Spirit of Tasmania ferry sailing from Devonport.
  • Our stay here was absolutely amazing, highly recommended!! The place was modern, clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. The host was friendly, the location was great and the breakfast items and vege basket were a perfect touch.

    Laura2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • A wonder that this little cottage, modern and cozy at the same time, with everything you could dream of finding there to feel at home. Impeccable cleanliness, quality equipment at all levels and an absolutely charming and caring hostess.

  • Very nice house, very clean, lots of birds and rabbits running about in the yard. Great breakfast supplies.

    Stephen2020-02-12T00:00:00Z

    Loretta2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic eco cottage with a warm homely vibe. Great middle ground base to explore north and west towards Cradle Mountain. Day trips easily doable and Launceston is close by. Marg is a knowledgeable host and very welcoming. No hesitation to recommend a stay at her place, great experience! Thank you!

    Yuuki2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • The property has everything that we needed for a comfortable stay, clean and very well appointed. The surrounding garden is beautiful with a great variety of flowering plants and wildlife. Marg was a great host, easy to communicate with and very considerate, providing toys for our daughter and fresh berries for us to share. Westbury is a picturesque historic town worth a visit in its own right and we would definitely stay again with Marg.

    Martin2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Marg’s place is the perfect country getaway - quiet, comfortable and peaceful. It was an easy drive from Hobart and Marg gave us really good tips of places to see on the way which made the experience even more enjoyable. Marg left us a beautiful breakfast and in addition to that, she brought us a freshly picked bowl of berries in the afternoon which was to die for. The cottage was sparkling clean and has everything that you need for a comfortable stay including shops nearby if you want to stay in and cook. Highly recommended.

    Ana2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Marg and Ian are wonderful hosts, generous and kind. We enjoyed the cosy cottage and the whole property, along with the delicious fruits and vegs from the garden! Highly recommended.

Beautiful character home, 1890s, just out of the city centre, up on the hill with nice views, of Launceston. Just a short drive to the city, nice walk to the Cataract Gorge through the bush track. We welcome longer stays. A few minutes drive to restaurants, and attractions of Launceston such as Boags brewery, St Johns Craft beer, Cider house, Queen Victoria Museum and Inveresk art precinct. Penny Royal Adventure is just at the bottom of the hill.
We are offering you a private room in our Character home. The double bed is comfortable and the bathroom is shared by guests. Lovely garden and peaceful location. A warm welcome and....a coffee machine!
The property is situated just a few minutes from the city centre. You can walk or drive. We are located at the top of the hill. The home is on the edge of the Cataract Gorge reserve which is a nice walk through the bush track. There is a convenience store just 10 minutes walk, the Woolworths and Coles supermarkets are a five minute drive.
  • It is a very nice place, close to the gorge. The house is beautiful and Gina is a phantastic host. She is friendly and allways willing to help. She knows a lot about the area and the animals....If I ever come back to Launceston, I know where to stay!

    Jo2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Gina and Tony’s place was great. The older home gave it a nice feel of what Launceston of yesteryear was like. Gina was also very helpful and letting me know what was going on in town and we even had fun hanging out at the market one night and listen to music. We had good conversation and I highly recommend The stay. It was very close to the gorge and to get downtown even by foot.

  • This is a well-furnished place with virtually everything one could need furnished. It has a spectacular view over Launceston, with an easy downhill walk into the city. Coming back, you will either need to have a car or use an Uber or taxi, as it would be a very demanding walk back up.

    John2018-11-07T00:00:00Z

Budget priced double-bed room in a friendly suburban home. Off-street parking, NBN WiFi, bedding, towels, electric blanket, heater, desk & chair. Ingredients for a light breakfast. Suit 1 or 2 people who can appreciate this room in our busy, unique 'cheap & cheerful' family home! Share bathroom, toilet & laundry. Profile pic showing your face required. Please confirm that you AND 2nd guest HAVE read ALL my detailed description (Click on 'Read more about the space') or I'll request you to do so!
The quiet, comfortable Airbnb guest room in my vibrant, busy and unique Peel Street West Launceston family home offers you an economical alternative to being in a backpacker hostel or camping. We are actually cheaper than a tent site at the local caravan park!! My home is welcoming, friendly, cheap & cheerful and, some say, a bit unconventional, quirky and cluttered, and my private areas of it may not be as neat and tidy as your home is! Please DON'T book to stay here if you will find this unacceptable, as I care about my guests, and need to know that their expectations will be met. My many belongings ARE in full view! We are NOT a hotel, you are staying in a room in MY home with no pretense of pristine luxury, and this is reflected in the affordable price I charge for the budget conscious traveller. We are actually cheaper than a tent site at the local caravan park!!! My Airbnb listing is best suited for independent, easy going travelers who appreciate the quirks of my budget-priced, friendly and vibrant place, don't criticise my messy clutter, understand that they will be sharing facilities (inc bathroom) with other residents, and that this is a vibrant and busy family home. We are a busy, vibrant household with people 'on the go' at all times, and WE LIVE HERE TOO!! As well as myself and my 30 year old son (Ariel), a Chinese student (Will) also lives in my home (so Mandarin Chinese as well as English is spoken). Sometimes there is a friend or Helpx helper also staying here! Like most Australian families, we have pets. Two cats, "Kilara" and "George", also live here, but they keep to themselves, and we have some chooks that just roam in the garden. Free NBN WiFi available. My kitchen is NOT part of the Airbnb listing. We are LGBTIQ / Gay Friendly. We are in a safe, quiet suburban neighborhood with off-street parking provided in a designated spot beside my house. As we are on an 'internal block' behind the house facing the street, there is a long gravel driveway to access my property. Please drive slowly and carefully when you enter and leave my driveway, there is a bit of a 'dip' at the street end. Children OK, if sharing your bed. Your room, which also has a separate door opening onto an outdoor verandah area, is bright, quiet, neat, tidy and clean. It is suitable for either a single person or a couple, as there is only one (double) bed in it, and no space to add another. The room has a heater, desk and chair, mirror, cupboards, bedside lights, and a comfortable double bed with an electric blanket and good bedding. Tourist information, reading material, free book exchange, towels and toiletries are also supplied. Ingredients for a light breakfast, use of a small fridge, microwave and tea/coffee/toast making facilities are provided for you in a utility room close to your bedroom. I provide freshly laundered towels and bed linen, and your room is neat, clean and tidy. If you accidentally make a mess in the bathroom or toilet, there are cleaning supplies provided for your use. When booking, please indicate that you, and the 2nd guest (if there is one), HAVE read ALL my detailed description by writing "Yes, I read all your detailed description" or I will request you to do so before I accept your booking. Please let me know the NAMES of ALL guests and make sure you have a clear photo of all guest's faces. I like to know who is arriving to stay with us here! . I don't charge you an extra cleaning fee or bond, to keep my prices low and affordable. There is no en-suite (you will be SHARING the bathroom, toilet and other facilities with all of the other household residents), but my Airbnb room is priced accordingly and I offer guests great value for money for the budget-conscious traveller who appreciates staying in a local family home, and the amenities I make available for them. These include providing ingredients for a light breakfast, fruit, tea and coffee, toiletries, tourist information, reading material and a 'book exchange', as well as laundry facilities on request. You can come and go as you like, and have total privacy in your room, but this IS a vibrant and busy household with visitors visiting and people on the go at all hours... though your bedroom is at the quiet end of the house, with a lock on the door and a key, ensuring privacy when you are in or away from the room. Free NBN WiFi Internet available. All facilities are shared, including toilet, bathroom (with shower and separate bathtub) and laundry (which has a modern washing machine and dryer, plus washing powder, for you to use, as well as an iron and ironing board). A small fridge, with its own little freezer, plus tea/coffee making facilities, a microwave oven, a toaster, sandwich toaster and ingredients (bread, cereals, jams & spreads, fruit, milk, tea and coffee) for a light breakfast are provided for you in the laundry/utility room, next-door to your bedroom, so you can help yourself whenever you like! PLEASE NOTE THE LOCATION! My home is in West Launceston, a suburb about 10 minutes drive from the CBD, and about 20 minutes from the airport, and like most of Launceston, we are on a HILL and the street is STEEP. We are NOT in the CBD, but are an easy, short drive away. PLEASE note that my exact location is pinned on the map with my listing, so before you book check this carefully, so there will be no need for YOU to make a mistake on 'location' and unfairly penalise me for this!! I get VERY upset when I find that guests give me a lower 'star rating' for 'Location' because they made a mistake when they chose to stay here, or didn't bother to find the exact address on the map and complain that we were 'hard to find' or that I didn't give you the correct address. There is a large sign on a tree at my letterbox that the entrance is 'this driveway' and this is also written in Chinese at the bottom of the sign! There is a local bus service, and a bus stop just up the road, but we ARE in the suburbs, not in the city, so there are no shops or restaurants in my immediate neighborhood.. but there are a couple of supermarkets and places to eat a short drive away. I can usually arrange to collect you from central Launceston on request. To get to my home from the airport, there is a taxi (about $45) and shuttle bus service ($25 per person). I can often arrange an airport pick and/or delivery (for $20 per journey each way). My home is number 91A, it is on an INTERNAL BLOCK, access is via the LOWER driveway, DOWN THE HILL from house number 91 and DIRECTLY beside it. I am located BEHIND that house! There is a sign on a tree at the beginning of my long gravel driveway saying "91A Entrance This Driveway". Call or message me if you need more directions.
LOCATION. Please note, I am being extremely accurate about my location... we are in the SUBURBS, not the city! West Launceston is an appealing, safe neighborhood about 10 minutes drive from the CBD and about 20 minutes from the AIRPORT. Like most of Launceston, we are on a HILL. There is a long gravel driveway from the street to my home, which is located on an 'internal block' so is not visible from the street. There is a sign on a tree near my letterbox, saying '.... this driveway....'.

  • Jo’s place was fabulous and I would highly recommend. Jo was accommodating, quick to respond and the small touches were amazing - shortbreads on arrival, hand written welcome note, ingredients to make raspberry muffins to name a few. Ideal space for kids - a toy cupboard, craft cupboard, bath, cot, highchair and bunny rabbits to feed each day - our daughter didn’t want to leave! The location was perfect, only a short drive to the city centre, monkeys, gorge, riverbend park. The views along the river were beautiful. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed.

  • Great modern apartment in a vineyard. Excellent wines, and good place as a base for daytrips.

    Kees2018-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay in the Tamar Valley. We stayed in apartment 12 which had an amazing view of the valley and Tamar River, even from the beautiful bath tub! The apartment was spotless and very comfortable with everything we needed. It is only a short drive to shops and well located for trips to wineries and other tourist locations. Tamar Ridge Vineyard, a short walk from our door has stunning wines and worth the stroll. Our host Helen communicated with us well prior to our arrival and when there was an issue with the air con, they came the next morning (Sunday) and fixed it immediately. Totally recommend this accommodation.

  • This place is incredible. The property is absolutely breathtaking, and there is basically a private river that you can sit by! It was like being on our very own relaxation resort! There is a lot of space to walk around and explore, and the home itself is gorgeous. The decorations (especially check out the bathroom and bathtub in the pictures) are so unique and special, and Cindy was an incredible host. She was very responsive and caring, and made our stay wonderful and comfortable. Her dog is also incredibly well-trained and we SO cute!! Everything about this stay was great. Definitely recommend!!! :)

  • What a wonderful experience we had staying at Rivers Edge. So close to the beautiful river this place is truly unique. Our space was perfect and bigger than expected with a separate sitting room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom for our exclusive use. Very private with everything we needed. Cindy was a perfect host with plenty knowledge of the surrounding area and we enjoyed meeting her and her lovely fur family and having the  opportunity to sample the country lifestyle for a few days. Very relaxing. We would highly recommend Cindys property.

    Jackie2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had enjoyable stay at Cindy’s place. The place looks rustic with all the aesthetic little touches. Cindy even made a cheese plate for us upon arrival. Looking forward to coming back to Tassie!

  • Absolutely amazing. Right on the river front. We sat on the deck and had a glass of wine and watched the river. The bathtub with fireplace and candelabra and inside garden were just wonderful. Huge towels. Great little kitchen had all we needed. Separate lounge area and a big bedroom with medieval iron cast bed frame. Outside area was stone with beautiful gardens and trees. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The winery just two mins walk away was perfect for the afternoons. The apartment itself was very comfortable, the kitchen very well equipped and just generally a very relaxing place to spend a few days. Welcome, experience the 1840's in comfort in our latest airbnb (please check our other apartment's reviews). It is warm, comfortable, spacious & enriched with history and character. Former residence of Frank Browne, first man to conduct xray in Tasmania. Great location, CBD-3 min walk to restaurants, shops, city park & aquatic centre. The interior's been lovingly restored & currently there is restoration work on the exterior including a rear wall. This will not impact your stay.
Experience the heritage of this 1840s building in the heart of Launceston. Everything is in easy walking distance including many main attractions.
Fantastic central location with easy walking access to many attractions e.g city park which hosts events like Festivale, James Boag Brewery who host the beer festival. Also 5 min walk to shops, restaurants, supermarkets, and the aquatic centre. Approximately a 20 minute walk to University/Aurora Stadium and Inveresk museum. Downhill there and return walk is up the hill of Tamar Street.
  • Always a pleasant experience when I stay here. Definitely recommend

  • We enjoyed our stay here: the location is just fantastic, Bernadette is a great host who is very easy to communicate with, and the apartment has everything you need. It is comfortable, nicely renovated and very good value!

  • Bernadette’s place was lovely in a great historic building. It was conveniently located for our stay in Launceston. Definitely recommend and would stay there again when back in town.

  • Bernadette's apartment won't disappoint! Generous extras such as shampoos and a first-aid kit in the bathroom, and we especially loved the well-appointed kitchen and the decent sized coffee mugs It's the little things that count. The beds are extra comfy, as are the lounges. Julie

  • We spent 2 nights here and it was a wonderful stay! Fantastic location and convenient check in with really easy to follow instructions. The apartment itself was a great size, it had everything we needed and more! Thank you, Bernadette!!

A great value room, close to the city. Looking forward to having you. This is a small room on a steep busy street with no parking. You may have to park 300m away. There is a gravel driveway with difficult access and a big step. We are a young loud happy family of 4 upstairs with 2 dogs, but we are not ninjas. There is another Airbnb next door adjacent to the room. The heat pump is next to the bed and may be noisy. Please note we are in the middle of renovating.
Quirky and tidy minimal space, great budget accommodation. Can sleep 2 comfortably, and a port-a-cot with baby. You have your own bathroom. Separate access. You will get a unique key box code to enter the room with. NBN wifi available, minimal kitchenette facilities, microwave, hotplate, toaster, kettle, Crisp white sheets, towels, amenities, and a comfortable bed. Walk 20min into town, less to the supermarket, cafes and bars. There is steep hills though. Bus stop 500m away every 30min. Please keep the noise down after 10pm as it may disturb other guests. Eg. TV noise.
Walk into town, the supermarket, or cafes and bars. There is a few MOLE hills so make sure you don't mind getting the old heart rate up.
  • The property was clean, comfortable and a short walk from the hospital and centre of town. The host added extras to make the stay easy and stress free. The communication was very prompt and always happy to assist in anyway. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • I loved this place. I wish every town had a Pod Inn. Clean, quiet, and professional. Thank you.

  • Well, I am from India & we are used to big spaces. When I first reached Pod Inn around 3 pm in the afternoon, very honestly I got very petrified. But with each hour passing by, I started feeling very comfortable. The pods were extremely clean, the mattress & linen very comfortable, the washrooms were spotlessly clean & the staff was extremely cooperative. In fact by nightfall I had started enjoying my stay here at Pod Inn. I slept very well & by morning I was completely enjoying my stay. It was a first time unique kind of an experience & I am now looking forward for a chance to stay at Pod Inn again. & I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to my host Zac who went out of the way to help me with everything.

  • Gerry was a fantastic host and we became very close. The accommodation was first rate and in particular the surrounds were lovely. The only thing to be aware of (which we bought up) was that the on-suite was between the bedroom and the main area, so visits to the toilet had to be coordinated.

  • Peter and Jancie's place was absolutely amazing, stunning property with a great view from the balcony! couldn't recommend any higher

  • This is an excellent place! Stylish, great attention to detail and very clean. Kitchenette is equipped with electric kettle, toaster and microwave (no burner) and all crockery & cutlery. Spectacular view over the Tamar River. Great base for a Winery Tour: We highly recommend Swinging Gate (Doug is really a service wizard and the wine is great, too.) and Holm Oaks. Pete is an excellent host, very helpful and has lots of tips. Don‘t stay in Launceston! Stay here, it‘s much nicer and if needed you are in the city in less than 30 min. We felt very home and love to come back. Highly recommended!

Michelle’ s attention to detail, ensures that her guests “ want for nothing” and can totally relax in a unique place , that feels like “ home from home”. We highly recommend it to others and would love to stay again, if ever we are in the area. Michelle is really friendly, helpful and approachable. I read through the visitors book and everyone of her past guests have thoroughly enjoyed their stay, also. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  • A very pleasant cottage and garden. Roses and apple tree, with a classic old dunny (no longer used) and sheds makes a classic garden setting for wine and cheese platter under the trees. Inside is a well stocked pantry and thoughtful touches throughout. Just lovely.

This flat is a lovely, quiet and private space for couples, solo or business travellers visiting Launceston and the Cataract Gorge. It has a cozy feel and a captivating view over the Tamar River and Launceston. The flat has its own entrance, and you are completely self-contained with everything you need to enjoy your stay.
This flat is the first level of my house and is very light, bright and modern. Trevallyn is a safe, quiet and pretty suburb only a few minutes drive or walk from the city, the Cataract Gorge, Trevallyn Nature Reserve, Trevallyn shopping centre, Penny Royal and some charming cafe restaurants. Most parts of Trevallyn are hilly and have driveways which are steep to some extent. My driveway is quite steep. I suggest parking on the street, there are always plenty of parks right outside my house. To get to the flat, you walk down my driveway (see in photos) then down five stairs to a pathway which takes you around my house to the flat's entrance. The path is well lit at night and not too steep but there is no handrail. There is a well-equipped little kitchenette so that you can make a simple meal. The bedroom has a 'walk-in' wardrobe for hanging your clothes and a lovely ensuite with a shower over the bathtub. Outside the flat is a little undercover sitting area perfect for morning coffee in the sun (you will find good coffee and a plunger in the kitchenette) or to admire the view at any time of day or night. You may hear some of my footsteps above you from time to time and you will probably see my dog Chocky in the yard.
Trevallyn is a lovely, leafy suburb that overlooks the Tamar River and City of Launceston and borders the Cataract Gorge and Trevallyn Nature and Recreation Reserve. It is a delightful location from which to explore all of Launceston's treasures. You can walk down to the city in 20 minutes and catch a taxi back up if it is too steep for you. Trevallyn has a well-stocked grocer and delicatessen with fresh and fine foods from around the world. It also has a well-loved cafe with gluten-free options and outside sitting, a hairdresser, chemist, bakery and newsagent. The unique Trevallyn Nature and Recreation Reserve is central to Trevallyn, and it offers visitors a broad range of activities, including a club run, well-marked walking trails, dog walking, exercising, horse riding, cycling, orienteering and rock climbing. Lake Trevallyn is used for water skiing, canoeing, swimming and windsurfing. Trevallyn is only 2 kilometres from the Cataract Gorge, a rare and natural phenonemon widely considered Australia's most beautiful reserve. Apart from the gorge itself, the chairlift and stunning grounds, Cataract Gorge has walking trails, coffee and dining, a swimming pool and children's playground. Penny Royal is a unique adventure playground with well regarded dining facilities only a four-minute drive or twenty-minute walk away. Trevallyn is close to all the sights you must not miss if you come to Launceston!
  • Wonderful place to stay, and the view absolutely amazing

    Teresa2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and daughter had a very enjoyable stay in Launceston at Torna's place. My daughter, being a florist, appreciated the back garden filled with flowers and plants. The view during the day and night was spectacular. The location was perfect being so close to Cataract Gorge and the City. There is also a nice little cafe and bakery not too far away if you don't feel like going into the city to eat.

    Shane2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Tornas place is very handy to local shopping centre & city. High on the hill with outstanding views and cottage garden. A very spacious, comfortable & modern apartment with all the extras you might need. Torna is a lovely person to chat with and a wonderful host.

  • We loved staying here! This little apartment became our little home away from home. It’s got everything you need, plenty of space and an amazing view. Central location too

    Sarah2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Torna's apartment was the perfect location for my partner and I to explore Launceston with a luxurious, clean and thoughtful place to hang our hat. Her apartment offers fantastic views of the city and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Thank you, Torna!

    Julia2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Torna's place is very clean and she includes little extras like toothpaste. Great view.

    Kara2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great, close to some sights, and on the mountainside, the house has a very good view. There is also a kitchen for simple cooking and highly recommended. If the luggage is large or a lot, it may be more troublesome. Walking from the street to the door of the house requires a short downhill. Everything else is fine.

    Julie2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Torna's place was perfect for us! Small and private, self contained with some cooking facilities, fantastic views (especially for NYE!) and so close to the city and the gorge. You can even get around on foot (though getting back up the hill is quite a hike!) Highly recommended.
