We spent a lovely Christmas in Maria's place. It is a cosy, clean, semi-detached house with a real fireplace easy walking distance to the town centre. Wood is 7 euros per load and Maria will give the details of who to order it from (in Spanish). Free on-street parking easily available. Maria met us in town and we followed her to the address - a few turns and one-way streets means this was a good decision! Maria was very hospitable and gave us a special Christmas torta which was very nice of her. She also provided a lot of information on how the apartment works (including changing the gas bottle which came in handy as we needed to do that - good that she had a spare to hand). Well-equipped kitchen with gas burners (but no oven). Washing machine and dryer both work well. Note there is no wifi. Grazalema is a lovely spot. We went on a nice hike direct from town; would also be a good base if you were driving further out on day trips. We wish we could have stayed longer. Gracias por todo Maria, hemos disfrutado mucho nuestra estancia.

On arrival, Maria Dolores was super nice and patient with our poor Spanish skills. This apartment is on the ground level and well-situated in a lovely little town. My family of three stayed two nights. We appreciated all the thoughtful touches, like plenty of paper products, some fresh fruit, and some coffee and tea. Unfortunately, on the second morning we did not have any hot water for taking showers or washing dishes. Maria Dolores indicated that there should have been enough gas for the water heater to last for several days; however, only two of us got a hot shower one time, and I don't think we were wasteful with hot water.

We were greeted by Maria Dolores when we arrived to the house. She was waiting inside with the fireplace lit on. After a brief introduction, she spent some time describing the location of the house, the nearest food places/supermarkets, proposed activities and gave us phone numbers to order wood. Everything was perfect and ready and Maria Dolores was always very attentive (after, meanwhile and before our stay). Description is accurate and location is pretty good. Fantastic for a weekend, staying warm at home or doing activities surrounded by nature and amazing mountains with plenty of trails. Recommended! Will come back :)

Very comfortable apartment close to the centre of Grazalema. Easy parking nearby and close to shops and restaurants. Maria was very helpful in spite of our lack of Spanish language skills. The weather was rather cold in March (maybe not surprising as the town i at 800 m altitude) so the log fire was especially welcome.

Lourdes was very welcoming. Apartment very central. Although small was very well equipped and planned. It more than Lived up to our expectations. Plenty of interesting local shops and restaurants. An added bonus was the Spanish water dogs show mid October 2016

Lourdes was a very nice host. She welcomed us personally and helped us to plan our stay in Grazalema. She also offered fresh fruits from her fantastic tree in the garden. If there would have been less and less old furniture, kitchen stuff etc. we would have felt even more like at home.

It was a nice and cozy Flat in the center of Grazalema. The visitor center right across the plaza. Maybe a bit small if you are 4 or more but enough for a bed after hiking. Good restaurants all over the city

We stayed at Maru's Namaste apartment for a week. The apartment was clean, attractive and well located to explore Grazalema and the surrounding mountain trails. The apartment was thoughtfully and nicely equipped with most everything that we needed. Maru and family were conscientious and quick to respond to all of our needs. We are very happy with the experience.

Great neighbourhood and our check-in was very good. Apartment is clean and nice. Our only quibble is with the bathroom. The shower is hand-held or positioned at mid-body height - no way can you actually stand under it. And the toilet is right up against the washing machine, making it really awkward to sit on. I think the only solution is to put the washing machine somewhere else, and attach a shower head higher up - you really need a good shower in Sevillan heat. But otherwise, though compact, it is fine, and a fair price.

Maru is a very warm and friendly host - we felt welcome from the point we arrived in Grazalema .The appartment was comfortable, roomy and well equipped. The location is perfect for everyone interested in relaxed, calm mountain village holidays. I can only recommend both the flat and host!

Maru's place is spacious and nicely decorated. Someone was there to greet us within a few minutes of our arrival. There was a nice little bottle of champagne to welcome us. Great location in lovely Grazalema, close to hiking trails. Maru was out of town when we arrived but easy to communicate with via text. Her neighbor meet us and showed us to the apartment. The apartment is well designed and comfortable with the central patio providing light to the three rooms (living room, kitchen and bedroom). The kitchen has everything you need including a manual on how to operate the complicated stove top. We had some difficulty with the internet password but help was provided and once online, it worked very well. The town provides ample food shopping options with several grocery stores and specialty food shops. Parking is easiest if done at one of the two large parking lots at either end of town. We highly recommend staying here and the nearby hiking.

This was one of my favorite AirBnB experiences in the years I have used the service. I love Grazalema and the apartment was just lovely, art-filled, comfortable and everything Maru said it would be. Maru met me in the square, guided me through the town and suggested great hikes and tours nearby. A lovely experience.

We've had a great 5-night stay in this charming apartment. The apartment is spacious, well decoratated and has two comfortable double bedrooms. Our baby slept in the baby cot meanwhile we could enjoy the patio. We would like to come back when our baby is able to enjoy the surroundings with us.

Light, bright, airy apartment in a very central location in a beautiful village. Very comfortable and nicely decorated with plenty of room for four people. Lovely mountain view from the bigger bedroom. There were enough heaters and blankets for us to stay warm during cold weather. The shower is strong and hot, and the kitchen is very modern. It's wonderful to have a dishwasher and washing machine. We would be happy to stay here again. Appreciated all of the information that the hosts provided about the apartment, the village, and the surrounding area.

The house is just lovely -- beautifully decorated and well equipplt (it even has a dish washer). It is a perfect location for those who want to explore the park too. There are several moderate hikes very close to the apartment (just up the hill out of town) and some easier ones about a mile up that same road. Like many homes in southern Spain, it doesn't have heat, but the fireplace and space heaters work well. We visited at a chilly time of year, so we needed to use both, but we didn't mind. Maria was kind and helpful, as was Natalia, whom we met at the apartment. They were both very patient with my high school Spanish and gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our stay.

There was somebody in the apartment to show us around. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine. The apartment was very nice decorated.

The apartment was clean and pretty. Everything is new. We loved Grazalema and the location of the apartment made for a beautiful walk to the center. This apartment would be perfect in the summer because you wouldn't need heat. Because we stayed in the apartment in December, it was a bit too cold and we had some problems with the electricity going off frequently when we tried to use the stove to cook. or use more than 2 electrical devices, for example, the space heater and the stove or 2 lights etc. We used the great fireplace, but the wood is 7 Euros/bag and we used 3 bags over 2.5 days, so this would have to be figured into your budget. Overall, a good place to stay if the electrical problem were fixed and if there were a second space heater, and then it would be a cozy place to stay in the winter. : )

Maria and Natalia (who we met) were very responsive and accommodating. A quick tip for those driving to Grazelema - the main road goes right up to the apartment, so avoid going thru the maze of tiny streets like we did. We were a bit lost and ended up being late. The apartment was gorgeous and everything was very well thought out. We had an accident that was handled very professionally and thoughtfully by Maria. She clearly wants her guests to experience a great time. Two hikes are right across the street with several more scattered around. The restaurant for which there is a card in her home is excellent! We ate there twice.

Maria Jose's place is near the highest point of town, which affords a view over Grazalema and the valley below. The apartment is in one of the more newly constructed buildings that is now so commonly seen on the outskirts of so many Spanish towns. Though it is a short walk to town, the location is actually quite good if you have your own car as getting in and out of town couldn't be easier. The apartment was clean and orderly and well supplied. Logistics getting in and out were also flawless, and Maria Jose was attentive and responsive through the booking process.

A cozy, comfortable apartment with a fantastic view in one of the best villages in Andalusia. Everything worked well, and Maria provided lots of information. It was cold indoors in March, but the electric heaters and the fireplace helped a lot. Maria even told us who to call to get more firewood delivered. The apartment is at the far western end of the village, so everything is an uphill walk from the main plaza. But that means you get your exercise walking home after eating out or running errands. There is parking close by, and many hiking trails start from the campground just up the hill. The view from the bedroom window is glorious. Every morning when we opened the curtains we said "wow." Grazalema is our favorite village in Andalucia: as pretty as a picture, close to beautiful hikes and drives, with many good restaurants and all of the services you need in a village (grocery stores, banks, pharmacies, health clinic, shops, swimming pool, hardware store, etc.). We stayed in the village for two weeks, living a slow and quiet life, and could happily have stayed twice as long. Don't miss the fine dining at El Chico de Cadiz and Casa de las Piedras, the excellent tapas at gastrobars Contrastes and La Maroma, and the fine leatherwork of Fernando at Tienda la Chica.

The house is located in a rather quiet street, not far from the center of the village, which is beautiful.

I loved staying in this very traditional town house, in a great mountain village. I didnt meet Yolanda, but her assistant Ana was friendly and helpful. Lots of space, lots of charácter, and very good value.

Hemos pasado unos buenos días en la casa de la Abuela de Yolanda. Muy bien atendidos y recibidos por Ana. Al ser una casa antigua, es algo fría, pero con el brasero, las estufas y los edredones se descansa perfectamente. Se aparca fácilmente en la calle y, como Grazalema no es muy grande, las cafeterías, supermercados, bares, cajeros,... están cerca a pie. Casa muy tranquila. Al ocupar una finca muy estrecha, la distribución de los espacios es diferente a la mayoría de las casas, y los cuartos interiores son oscuros. La decoración y mobiliario son de una casa rural antigua. No busques una casa de diseño moderno, aunque tiene todo lo necesario. Pequeño pero agradable patio con flores.

Ana's house is rustic and charming and probably typical of village homes in this part of Spain. It's clean and comfortable and Ana is the perfect host. She speaks perfect English but was more than happy to let me practice some of my faltering Spanish on her! It's only a one minute walk to the centre of the village where there is plenty of parking.

Entry instructions were clear and concise. We were staying at Ana's for the fiesta and the house was central to the town. We had a fabulous time and lived on the street food and wine. The house is a traditional Spanish with all the basics.

Ana is very friendly and we could talk a lot. Thanks to Ana we could spend a nice time in Grazalema. The room is quite close to the center and easy to reach the photographic points. Grazalema is pretty town and very photogenic. If you have a plan to visit some white villages, you should consider this town as well. I am happy to meet her and stay at her accommodation, and also was able to see the view of the town.

Ana is a great host and we enjoyed our stay. The place is in a great location in a beautiful village. The fireplace is great and the bathroom was very clean. The kitchen is useful but you may want to bring your own cutting board and pot. We warmly recommend staying there.

Marion was very welcoming and we had such a wonderful time at finca ranchilles! The surroundings and the view are beautiful, the apartment(s) brand new and with everything you need. And if you like horses you are in for a treat, because there a a lot of them! It is necessary to have a car, because it's about 10 min drive to the closest village (zahara, which is very nice). It's a lovely and serene place to be!

Our stay here was amazing. The location was superb, the welcome was warm, and the accommodation was clean and presentable. The pool and gardens are well kept, and it was good to see that the stables are well maintained, with animal welfare paramount. We hope to return again soon!

Relax in this rustic horse ranch . Overlooking the lake , mountains and delightful creatures around. The horses make the odd noise but add to the charm and this secluded spot is virtually faultless.

We had an amazing stay at the ranch. It was even more beautiful than expected (even though pictures were wonderful) and the apartment was very spacious, well-equipped and nice in all other ways. There are beautiful Andalusian horses at the ranch and we went out on a riding tour which was well-arranged and an memorable experience. We will definitely come back when we have the opportunity!

We really enjoyed our stay at this nice and secluded horse farm. The views from the pool area are mignificient. The people are nice and very helpful. There are many trips possible from this location but you definitely need a car. If you like nature, this is a good place to visit.

Ours was Santiago, one of 5 or 6 apartments and a perfect size for a couple. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. Large bedroom windows looked towards the reservoir, with beautiful horses immediately below. From the kitchen - no window, but the front door leads to a patio with table and chairs and view towards the swimming pool with loungers and sunshades. It's really well situated for walking and cycling (challenging!) It's near to the beautiful villages of Grazalema and Zahara de la Sierra, and not far from Ronda. If you like horses, all the better! Marion is a friendly and welcoming host who has lived in the area for 13 years, so can share lots of information. We had a great time here, wished we had booked for longer and are keen to return to see it in spring.

La casa es amplia y cómoda y se encuentra en una plaza muy tranquila y con hermosas vistas. Todo muy nuevo y muy limpio. Agua caliente (incluso demasiado caliente) abundante. El pueblo es muy bonito, en mitad de la Sierra de Grazalema que es bellísima. En la parte baja del pueblo hay muchos comercios y bares. Como única advertencia yo avisaria de que la escalera para subir a la segunda planta es un poco angosta y le puede resultar difícil a gente mayor o con movilidad reducida. La casa se alquila con plaza de garage pero esta se encuentra por detrás del edificio y cuesta un poco acceder. Si el coche es un poco grande van a hacer falta unas cuantas maniobras. Por lo demás, todo muy bien

Perfectly located house in Grazalema with the most outstanding views and in the center of the small city. We did not meet Carlos but the manager was living in the next house and she was very kind and helpful. The pool was dirty at out arrival, but the manager cleaned it just as we asked for it. Everything is working in the house, but it is quite worn down and needs a thorough cleaning. The pool is small and nice and there is a lot of sun on the terrace. There are 2 sun beds and a table and chairs. Grazalema is the most wonderful and authentic pueblo in the mountains and it is perfectly located if you like hiking. We really enjoyed staying in Grazalema.

Whenever I have visited picturesque villages there is always a house on the hill with the best view, and I have always wondered what that view is like. This is that house and the views are breath-taking - from the pool deck, breakfast table on the living room balcony, the bedroom balconies, in fact from every window at the back of the house. All this, plus the front door of the house faces onto one of the main town squares with parking straight outside. The house is old and grand with high ceilings, lots of dark wood panelling, cool tiled floors and lots of space. As it is not a modern house, there is no air-con and the bedrooms did get hot at night when we stayed (late July/early August – 40C during the day) but good ventilation (there are lots of big windows and doors) kept the temperatures down during the day. The kitchen isn’t set up to do much more than basic meal prep, but does have a dish washer and washing machine. You can eat in the kitchen, the living room or downstairs on the pool deck. Grazalema is a beautiful, quiet and sleepy mountain town with friendly residents, restaurants and shops. Great for a few days chilling out and winding down (although teenagers might get bored after that with the lack of wifi!). We visited with 10, 12 and 14 year old children who loved the house, but due to the very steep drops into the valley from the pool deck, probably wouldn’t recommend for kids younger than 8. That is the pay-off for getting such beautiful views that greet you when you open the shutters in the morning. Grazalema is a good base for visiting the equally beautiful Ronda, Zahara de La Sierra, the white villages and taking scenic mountain drives. There are a few small-ish supermarkets in Grazalema itself, and bigger ones 30 mins away in Ronda. Life in Grazalema is very typically Spanish - the shops take a long siesta in the afternoon, and most people seem to eat out at about 10pm, and it takes very little time to slow down to Grazalema pace. We had very good communications with Carlos before our visit, and checking in and out was straightforward and quick. We would thoroughly recommend Carlos, the house, and Grazalema and would love to visit again in the future.

this was a dream house, with what is surely the best view in Grazalema, right at the foot of the town with an uninterrupted view of the valley. I had a misunderstanding with Carlos when booking the house and as a result arrived a day earlier than he was expecting. though entirely my fault, he left us a bottle of wine as an apology. 5 stars

This place is well represented in the photos and description. It has wonderful views and lots of space. We cooked dinner one night and all the things we needed were there (except for a sharp knife). It is in the center of town and is convenient to everything.

We had an excellent experience here. We were a group of nine, and enjoyed the views, the close proximity to restaurants and coffee houses, and the kids loved the pool. Carlos was helpful and attentive. Highly recommended!

It's a wonderful place! The house itself, the location, the furnishing, the cleanliness - everything was fine. We (4 people) enjoyed our short stay so much! There was nothing to complain about.

The description was very accurate, except it was even better than it sounded, and very spacious. The setting was completely idyllic and the house had everything we needed. Getting the keys was very easy, even though we messed the owners around with dates and times a bit at the last minute.

Ursula's father, Jack, was very helpful and welcoming. He met us in Grazalema and showed us the way to this wonderful farmhouse. A creek with a waterfall runs right past the house, and the setting is beautiful. The house itself was nice and clean, and just as described in the listing. Wood was provided for the fireplace. Other reviews mention that the hallway is a little cold, but it's really not as much of an issue as they've made it out to be.

The house is amazing and we wish we could have stayed longer. It was super peaceful and relaxing. The only downside was that one of the rooms was significantly less nice than the other two. Communication with the hosts was excellent. Great base for exploring the white villages.

This rural house came as advertised- a fantastic setting, with a waterfall and stream right beside the house. On a few days there was even a real "el pastor" who brought his sheep through the neighbour's property. The town of Grazalema is close by and has some nice restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the proximity of some great walking/hiking trails in the Sierra de Grazalema NaturalPark (including one suggested, peurto de las palomas). This house would be better to visit during the summer months when the coolness could be more appreciated than April (but some of the trails in the reserva zone are closed during this time so it's a trade-off).

Beyond incredible. The house is set in the most beautiful location that you could ask for with its own river and waterfalls next to the house which help you drift straight to sleep in the evening. The area itself is great for walking, we used it as a base to explore Andalusia and had a great time visiting Grazalema, Zahara and Ronda (20 minutes drive away).

This place is literally unbelievable- I've stayed in a lot of places on Airbnb but none even remotely as magical as this. Just go there - it's better than the pictures. And the area is like the garden of Eden. Maybe it's just because we came in spring but the diversity and abundance of wild flowers was mind-boggling.

Wonderful setting and nicely refurbished house. Location by river is ideal. Be aware there is no heating in bedrooms and bathroom and can be cold when the weather is colder or rainy.

La casa muy acogedora. Muy limpia y bien decorada. Las habitaciones no son muy grandes, tienen calefacción y las camas muy cómodas. Hay mantas de sobra, aunque no son necesarias. La cocina tiene de todo, no echarás en falta nada. La chimenea en el salón es fantástica, es cerrada, y mantiene la casa entera a muy buena temperatura. Y aún teniendo casi todo el día la chimenea encendida durante los 3 días... sobró más de la mitad. En el salón además de la tele hay 5 o 6 juegos de mesa, parchís, cartas... que harán tu estancia más entretenida. No es céntrica, está en la parte alta de Grazalema, a 5-7 minutos a pie del centro (eso sí... en cuesta). Juan José muy atento y agradable. Nos facilitó entrar temprano y la salida más tarde. Nos explicó varias rutas de senderismo. Sin dudas, un alojamiento muy recomendable para pasar unos días en la sierra. Los niños han disfrutado de lo lindo...y los mayores también! ;).

La casa está ubicada en una zona del pueblo muy accesible, desde la que se llega andando a cualquier parte. Juan José nos facilitó la llegada a la casa y nos dio total libertad para la salida. Nos sugirió varias rutas de senderismo por la zona. La casa está cuidada porque él mismo la utiliza ocasionalmente algún fin de semana, sobretodo si hay nieve ;) Todas las mantas que hagan falta, calefactores y chimenea (aunque tampoco hizo tanto frío) Repetiremos!

We very much enjoyed the staff, our lamb dinner, and our hike in the mountains. But a few factors made this experience pretty rough. Our reservation process was a bit messy, with back and forth to fix a billing problem that was more complicated than necessary. Moreover, our stay was close to ruined by a combination of poorly constructed paper-thin walls and rude guests with screaming children throughout the night. While the place of course can't control all their guests, particularly little ones, the thinness of the walls was a real contributing problem and made it feel far from private. Other reviewers, however, seem to have had much luckier experiences. We counted our blessings that we'd booked for only one night.

We enjoyed staying with Carmen at Tambor del Llano. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable and the location was wonderful surrounded by the trees (although the drive way was a little bumpy!). Carmen herself was helpful with providing information and knew a lot about the area including the famous Cork Trees. This place had 10 rooms, some at ground level with outside sitting areas and some upstairs with small balconies. Breakfast was an extra 7 euro per person and check out was mid-day despite it being listed on Airbnb as 15:00. Carmen honoured the Airbnb time however and stated she hoped to update the site soon. At night, there was an opportunity to choose to dine in house with bar service. Whilst we did not try this we hear that Carmen's chefs made great food!

Our stay at Tambor del Llano was a great experience. Carmen and Joaquin created a beautiful place in the middle of an extraordinary natural environment. The rooms were extremely comfortable. Carmen cooked for us a delicious diner made out of local products. We also gave a try to a 2 hours horse-ride with Raul (in charge of horses excursions) in the middle of the national park and that was an unique experience.

Beautiful place in the woods, v scenic and peaceful. Unfortunately it was raining the entire time but the shared areas and dinner was lovely at the accommodation so you didn't want to leave. The floors were a little chilly but the heating was good, I would recommend staying in the spring and summer and to expect to be around families and young children! But a beautiful peaceful stay!

We spend two nights in Carmen place and it was very very nice. The place was really beautiful and the room we got was perfect! Clean and cozy. Carmen was helpful and pleasant. The breakfast and the diner was very delicious. We were enjoying our visit every minute. If you want to relax in the nature there is no better place than this. Highly recommending .

Beautiful, very secluded Hotel - surprisingly easy to find. Just spent one night here on the drive to Granada but we definitely liked it! I could have easily spend a few more days here and enjoy nature, read a good Book....easy and very friendly communication.

El apartamento está en la zona alta del pueblo, de fácil acceso y aparcamiemto. A 5 minutos a pie del centro del pueblo. Tiene las comodidades básicas. Isabel, la señora que nos recibió, fue atenta y servicial. Para nosotros fue algo incómodo. Hay cosas que tiene que mejorar. Cuando llegamos la calefacción no estaba encendida y el termo eléctrico apagado. La chimenea no va bien y llena de humo toda la casa, sólo la encendimos una vez.

This is a really beautiful house with stunning balcony. Everything is brand new, full of memory. Nicolai and Maria had a warm welcome and very considerate, preparing us a map with all key info on it. I will definitely visit again and recommend friends to be here.

We had a wonderful stay in Grazalema! This house was beautiful and really added to the enjoyment of our trip. It felt like home. Maria was great and made us feel very welcome and provided a history on the house. Everything in the town is easily walkable. We brought a car, which was a little challenging to park and navigate through the hilly, narrow, cobblestone streets, but we always managed to find a spot that was not too far away from the house. I would definitely recommend Grazalema for a nice, quiet retreat with great hiking and I couldn't think of a better house to stay in.

Truthfully the best Airbnb experience we have ever had. A magical, amazing place. Maria's massive house is perfect for families or multiple couples traveling together, furnished with the most thoughtful and authentic decorations and furniture you could ever ask for. Every single room is a welcome surprise. Great staging location for hikes or other activities in the area, or perfect to just buy a bottle of local wine in town and relax on one of the three patios. We cannot recommend this house enough!

We spent 14 nights at Casa Los Abuelos and never wanted to leave! We booked through Nicolai but his aunt Maria was our contact in Grazalema. Nicolai kept in regular contact before and during our stay to ensure everything went smoothly and was extremely helpful in addressing any questions we had. The welcome we received from Maria and her family upon arrival was truly special and she was extremely helpful throughout our stay. She showed us around the home and fully explained all the workings of the house as well as taking time to explain the village and where we could shop and buy necessities. We loved hearing about the history of the house and how much it means to the family and it was evident that they all took great pride in the renovation of a truly spectacular historical family townhouse. The home itself is fantastic and has everything you could ever need. Although it is full of character and charm it has been so well renovated that it also has every modern convenience you could ask for while retaining the traditional elements. The house cannot be faulted and is stunning. The two terraces and the courtyard are fantastic places to enjoy the weather and spend time outdoors sunbathing or dine al fresco in the evenings. However, the house is fully air-conditioned if you need some respite from the heat as we did when temperature was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit for a few days. Although the home is in the middle of the village it is very peaceful and none of the outdoor spaces are overlooked and so feels very private. The views from the roof terrace are amazing! We were lucky enough to be in Grazalema during the Fiestas del Carmen when the town was in full fiesta mode with so much to see and do with the village bustling with food, music and dance for many days (and long nights). It was spectacular and Maria ensured that we were delivered a programme of events to ensure we didn't miss anything and could take full advantage of the fiesta. The people of Grazalema were so friendly and the village felt like a working village rather than a tourist hot spot which we loved. Although Grazalema is small there were many bars and restaurants to try so there was a surprising number of options to enjoy and we felt that the quality of food and drink was great and very inexpensive. There are many local shops selling local delicacies such as meat and cheese as well as butchers and bakers in the village with fantastic produce. There are also a few small supermarkets so you are never short of anything. Grazalema is a fantastic base from which to explore the local area and towns and easily accessed from Seville or Malaga airports by car. The countryside and mountains are amazing and we enjoyed a few mountain walks on trails which one can access straight from the village. In two...

Our hosts were very accommodating. Despite a problem that affected the hot water, they made extreme efforts to make us comfortable and to arrange it so that we had no loss of comfort. The house is charming and authentic, and provides a great home base for exploring the area around Grazalema.

Prior to arriving we had has all our email correspondence with Nicolai. He was able to answer all our queries and was very prompt and efficient. We were met at the house by Maria (Nicolai's aunt) and by chance Gabriel (Nicolai's father) was there as well. They gave us a really interesting guided tour of the house. It has been in the family for several generations and has only recently been restored and rented out. It is a beautiful house with lots of history that has been very sympathetically and tastefully restored and full of lots of family and historic artefacts. It is very quaint and really comfortable. The views from the roof terrace are spectacular. It is close (3 minutes walk) to the centre of the village and also there is a great little bar just around the corner which does very good tapas. I can not think of a better place to stay. Grazalema is a very pretty village with a lot of bars and restaurants but at the same time very peaceful and tranquil. This was the first time that we have stayed in an Airbnb house. the house way exceeded our expectations and was a fantastic find.

Genial. En el centro del maravilloso pueblo de agraza lema y cerca del parque natural de los alcornocales y los pueblos blancos. Bien equipado y confortable.

Una casa recientemente arreglada, bien acondicionada, con todo prácticamente nuevo y muy limpia. Un campo base muy agradable para recorrer los pueblos blancos de la sierra de Cádiz.
