All About Glenworth Valley

Glenworth Valley is a picturesque town in the hinterland of the New South Wales Central Coast. The town is nestled within the rugged wilderness of the Popran National Park, with the crystal-clear waters of the Popran creek running through it. Popran National Park is steeped in 11,000 years of Aboriginal heritage and protects several Aboriginal sites, including rock engravings, sandstone shelters, and foreshore middens, all important sites to the Aboriginal community. The Park has several walking trails to explore and an abundance of local wildlife to spot at every turn, including sugar-gliders and yellow-tailed black cockatoos.

Glenworth Valley is known for being home to one of Australia's largest outdoor adventure centres. Here you can explore 3,000 acres of unspoilt wilderness with natural rock pools and tranquil trails. There’s a range of activities to try, including quad biking, kayaking, abseiling, and the unique sport of axe-throwing. You can even take on the state-of-the-art laser skirmish facilities, set in a natural outdoor environment.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Glenworth Valley

The region is a year-round destination, and there’s a range of Glenworth Valley accommodation to suit every season. In June, the region’s biggest event takes place — the Glenworth Grazing Food and Wine Festival, when foodies come from far and wide for the delicious dishes, delectable desserts, and award-winning wines from the local area. There are also boutique stalls, live music, and markets to explore. Remember to pack layers, as it can get cold in the region during winter. Spring and autumn provide beautifully sunny days and mild nights to enjoy all the outdoor activities on offer in the area, while in summer you can expect hot days and nights. The Lost Paradise Festival takes place around New Years, celebrating community and creativity with art activations, long table feasts, wild and unique circus acts, and music.
