Excellent location, quiet community and walking distance to Rosewood beach. Laura and Nik were very responsive throughout the process. Only hoped we could stay longer!

Staying at Laura and Niklas's house was wonderful. Both are easy going, inviting and very friendly. Their home is located very close to Ravinia Festival grounds for those interested in attending concerts at that venue. The neighborhood is very picturesque, and convenient to everything. Easy walking distance to Ravinia and the Metra train for commuting into Chicago. I was invited to make myself at home and I did. Things important to me were internet access, kitchen access for breakfast, and laundry; all were readily accommodated. I occupied refrigerator space, made coffee, even watched part of a World Cup game with Laura and Niklas. In the wing of the house I stayed in, there are two bedrooms, even though I only used one room. The second bedroom has two beds in it for folks needing the extra space. Laura and Niklas are considerate of their guests with respect to noise and activities that may disturb the rest of guests. I hardly new they were there; I was probably more disturbing to them being an early riser. Any time my travel needs take me to the North Chicago area I will be contacting Laura and Niklas.

Once more, our out of town designer had a great stay with Laura and Nik. We'll keep using them when we have colleagues coming to Glencoe!

This was our first airbnb experience. We were a little unsure of what to expect, but our accommodations were superb and our hosts so accommodating that we'll never look back. Cozy BR, scrumptious breakfast and hanging by the fireplace to read after a long walk at the Botanic Garden down the road was delightful.

My husband and I had a very nice 5-night stay at the home of Laura and Nik. We stayed in the guest wing, with its 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. When we booked, we asked if they could set up a sitting area in the room with the 2 twin beds, and they were very kind in accommodating our request. We enjoyed meeting them, they are interesting people and they were helpful in every way. I grew up in Highland Park and still have family there, so we didn’t need much information on the area. We were glad to be so close to the train into Chicago. Their home is in a beautiful neighborhood and if the weather had been more conducive to walking we would have done a lot of that. They set out a nice continental breakfast, and my husband and I would relax with that in the morning, in the living/dining room, with morning light streaming in the wall of windows. It seems like they work a lot so we didn’t see or hear them very much - when we did see them, we enjoyed their company. We also really enjoy the architecture and design style of their home. I would stay here again.

Nick and Laura are wonderful hosts! Their place has a lovely mid-century decor with great antiques mixed in. The place was immaculate! The location is since jerky close to Ravinia, the train station and a 24/7 convenience store. Nik & Laura had lots of information about things to do in their local and Chicagoland area. Highly recommend and will stay here again!!

Greg and his family have a beautiful home in the north shore of Chicago. They were very hospitable in providing a beautifully designed home that was very comfortable, clean, and centrally located. I highly recommend to stay here whenever available!

Ray was warm and welcoming. Sadly, I wasn't there much as I was preparing for a large family party but he was always very available. The neighborhood and location was AMAZING for my North Shore needs. The magical midcentury house is located right on Lake Michigan! The room was clean and simple...exactly as described.

Mr. Ray was so wonderful, he was like my grandpa, making sure that I was taking care of and comfortable. He waited up for me until my arrival, and made sure that everything was fine. He made me feel at home! Him and his wife have an incredible home on the water, beach getaway!

My flight got in at 9pm and Ray and his wife were waiting and greeted me warmly. My room was clean and cozy. A wonderful place to stay.

we only stayed 2 nights as we needed to be close to be at a family wedding. The room was clean and has a seperate entrence. When the temerature got a little hot, Ray took care of it right away and checked if everything was fine. Very laid back and welcoming couple. The house is in a very exclusive neighbourhood. Dawn and her upstairs apartment above a super cool hockey store were marvelous. After a long day trekking around downtown, her space was the perfect refuge for quietness and comfort. She is incredibly personable and offered a very kind and warm touch to my first AirBNB experience! Great location in gorgeous Winnetka, surrounded by cafes, bakeries, and fantastic dining. If you're looking to stay in Winnetka, this is the place to stay!

Dawn's place was wonderful and she was the perfect host. We stayed there to visit some friends in Winnetka, and couldn't have been happier. Dawn was extremely responsive and welcoming the entire time. She was up-front about the potential for work being done on the roof while we visited (they were done before we arrived, so no issue at all) - something some hosts might conveniently forget to tell you. The location is steps from the train (though there's no noise from that), so getting to downtown Chicago was a breeze. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality, Dawn! We'll be back!

The apartment was in a very nice area with easy access to the train. Everything was clean and the furnishings have a nice vintage style. Would recommend this as a good place to stay just outside of the city.

Staying at Dawns place was great. She is easy to communicate with and extremely responsive. Check in was simple and the apartment was clean and cozy. The location has everything you need: coffee shops, grocery store, and a few restaurants all within short walking distance. Dawn was great from the minute I arrived. She knew I was driving in from a long road trip and had the fridge stocked with snacks,ice coffee and other fun stuff. We chatted several times and was such pleasant conversation. Check out her cool little shop downstairs as well!

This house was so perfect for our family!! A 5 minute drive to my husband's office, so close to everything we needed and the basement, WOW! I saw toys in the picture so I decided not to bring any and thank goodness for that! It would have taken two weeks for my daughter to play with everything. It was so nice to have that to keep her entertained. The tri-level was also really nice, it made the basement feel easy to get to and we were constantly down there. And because it wasn't a full flight of stairs away, it didn't even bother my daughter if I went up to the kitchen. Also, super responsive host, great internet, lots of kitchen utensils, cable tv, great washer and dryer with a huge drying rack, wonderful backyard... honestly we couldn't have asked for more!! Thank you again!!

My family and I were in town for my niece's 2nd birthday. Danielle's house was perfect for us! Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was big and well appointed. The family room had a nice big TV and an awesome play room. Danielle's friend Lane greeted us, gave us a tour, and was very responsive if we needed anything. The house is also very close to the downtown area of Northbrook and not far from downtown Chicago. I would highly recommend this place and we really enjoyed our stay!

Juliane and her family made every effort to make our stay comfortable. We stayed 8 days between Christmas and New Years while their family traveled to Germany. We did run into a few issues that required attention. All it took was an email to Juliane to get them resolved. A leak developed under the kitchen sink which prevented use of the sink or the dishwasher. Within a day someone was dispatched to get it fixed and it was back in operation the next day. Also, the TV service had been interrupted and that, too, was resolved within a day. We had a snowstorm during our stay and had to clear the walks on our own. The city of Winnetka did have a plow that cleared the sidewalks. We all had a good time and I hosted a party for about 25 of our extended family at their home.

We loved this house! Such a great place for our family of 5. We were so lucky to move out of our hotel and into this comfortable home. It was in the perfect southeast Winnetka location for us to visit our friends in Wilmette and have access to everything. The kids used the bikes and walked back and forth from Winnetka to Wilmette. They also went to the beach. We went to the fourth of July parade in Winnetka too. Shopping at the Grand and Starbucks and restaurants in Winnetka are close by. We went to Cafe Buon Giorno and Avli which are both in the Laundry. And we got bread and pastries (amazing) at Cafe Fleurette in the Winnetka train station. Everything clean and working well. Loved the back area- so happy to sit in the back and read and get some sun. My son loved to sleep in the hammock. Very private! Thanks again so much.

We are a family of four with two small children. We had a wonderful stay! We were well informed when we arrived with all the necessary information. We felt completely welcome and at home. The house had wonderful light, a nice layout and a great working kitchen. We had the option of eating in their beautiful garden which we took advantage of. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. We were steps from a running/biking trail. We also walked to restaurants, coffee shops and parks. It's also walking distance to the train if anyone needs. We stayed for a week and recommend it to anyone!

I can't say enough good things about this wonderful house and hosts! The absolute perfect way to visit the North Shore. Juliane went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was amazing. It was such a great surprise to arrive after a long travel day and realize we didn't even have to go grocery shopping. We were able to make a great meal from the well stocked pantry and collapse into our big comfy bed. Resident cats Ivy and Bean are adorable and cuddly, an extra bonus for cat lovers. The house has a very happy and serene energy to it. Hope to return!!!!

Our stay in Winnetka was great! The house is beautiful, very well furnished, and spacious. We were not cramped -- four separate bedrooms were perfect for two couples, three kids, and one baby. Great big dining tables inside and outside. We had great weather, and so we took great advantage of the beautiful patio and proximity to parks and playgrounds. Driveway held our two cars, and it's not too too painful to drive into the city. We had everything we needed (dishes, linens, laundry, space in the fridge, wi-fi, tv). A/C kept us comfy (we didn't have to tax it). Our hosts went overboard to make sure we were covered.

We loved our stay and made wonderful memories. Charming summer home, in a picture perfect tree lined neighbourhood, complete with a hammock, fire pit for smores, plenty of bicycles for the family and a park nearby to let the kids run. This is a great house in a great neighborhood. It was built in 1916 and full of charm. It was immaculate and very, very comfortable. The location was perfect. We were about a half mile from Sheridan Road / Lake Michigan, a mile to town, and an 1/8th of a mile from a greenbelt. This came in handy as they let us use their bikes and it was a great place to ride. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to others.

Susan and her family were very warm and welcoming, making us coffee and fresh baked banana bread for our breakfast along with fresh fruit and a protein. Their accommodations were as described, and the private bathroom was lovely. Susan maintained great communication as well. Susan's home was very close to the train station and a mile's walk from a private beach. Attending many public attractions for free necessitates a Highland Park parking sticker on your car, which you can only get if you are a resident. You can pay to enter these attractions by car but they can get pricey ($40 a day for the Rosewood Beach and $30 for parking entry to the Chicago Botanic Gardens), so it is a good idea to bring bicycles if you have the means; biking is very prevalent in the area and lots of local attractions, restaurants, outdoor trail, etc. are all accessible via bike.

Susan is a very good communicator. The house is gorgeous and full of music. We were in town for the Port Clinton Art Festival. Susan's space could not have been more perfect. We were able to walk to the festival everyday with ease. The neighborhood is safe, and the walk is an easy 10 minutes. Her family is warm and engaging. We are always very tired and busy when we are working a show, and Susan created a calm oasis for us to recharge. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay! The neighbourhood was quiet and safe. There lots of amenities near by, which was great for people who aren't familiar with the area. It's also a short drive to transit into the city of Chicago. Our host was quick to respond to questions and suggestions and had a very friendly demeanor. She listed the place accurately and everything was better than what we expected. The place was newly remodeled and all the furniture and linens were brand new and clean. We stayed there with 4 couples for the Nebraska vs. Northwestern game, and everyone was comfortable and pleased with the accommodations. Neighborhood seemed friendly and was close to interstate. Good carryout pizza shop right behind the place too. Within a few miles of the purple line to downtown Chicago. Overall we thought this place was a good value and had a nice stay.

Beautiful home in a great location!

The house was amazing in a great neighborhood near Chicago. Excellent for a large group. The neighborhood is super quiet and cute. There's lots of good restaurants nearby, especially for breakfast. The host had the place spotless and a fresh plate of cookies waiting for us! She found out we were coming to watch a football game and had a "Go Seahawks" sign! Nice touch! We will look for this home specifically the next time we come to Chicago. We can't recommend it enough.

This is an absolutely wonderful AirBnB. Nancy and her family were wonderful hosts. I'd say this is among the best in which I've ever stayed. It is cozy and feels like being at home. You can walk to a beautiful park nearby and there are restaurants beyond that. It's really a very centrally located place too. I would absolutely stay here again when I visit Chicago next time!

Nancy and Marty were the kindest people one could hope to meet. I felt so safe there. I was there for a class in nearby Northbrook and it was so easy to hop on the highway to get to the hotel where the class was held. I had everything I needed, and felt like I was welcome and at home while I had space to do what I needed to do, be it making tea and in the kitchen in the evenings or practicing my guitar in the room I was staying in. My hosts said I could practice in the family room but when I said I'd rather be alone to practice (a little shy, and not wanting to be distracted by that), they brought a stool up to the bedroom for me to use while practicing. The little bedroom is cozy and has a most comfortable bed in it, and ample closet space. There were also great books on a bookshelf and interesting things to look at on the walls. Even though all the bedrooms are on the same floor, it was quiet and easy to fall asleep early each night, which I greatly appreciated too. Early mornings making tea with the dog was fun too. Their dog is a sweet heart and was well behaved. Everything was freshly done in the house, there was a lot of intentionality in the way everything was and yet it was comfortable and cozy. The neighborhood was sweet and serene. Just a great space to rest during a long four day weekend filled with learning.

Nancy and Marty were great hosts! They were very attentive to our needs and always willing to help and make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Unfortunately, we were unable to take them up on breakfast (maybe next time). The house was clean and wonderfully decorated. Also, the bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept on. This is a wonderful value!
