I have stayed in a few places around the country on airbnb but I have never had the experience that I had at this beautiful place. Trisha and Tony could not do enough for you. I have never met two nicer hosts! From the moment we walked in through the front door they wanted to make us drinks, help us get settled and they even looked after our pug whilst I took my wife for a birthday meal. (Who by the way did not want to leave on the Sunday because he had made 3 new friends and been fed like a king). The fact our pug was offered a doggy menu for dinner was a lovely quirk. The bungalow itself was beautifully and stylishly presented, I can't believe how cheap it was considering their back garden has a view of the seaside and they cooked us a three course breakfast on both mornings. Trish and Tony constantly offered to leave us in peace as they have a lovely sitting area in the conservatory but we enjoyed their company and the interesting lives they've both led. Hastings itself is an interesting place to visit and there were lovely walks to go on in the surrounding area. We will definitely be visiting again, next time with friends and we would highly recommend! Jason and Kara

Best EVER stay. We loved every second of our Easter weekend. Most cosy bedroom, great communication and perfect breakfast. Patricia & Tony were so welcoming and made our stay really special. Our little dog Roxy was super unbehaved and growly but the 3 house dogs didn't mind and were super nice to our little monster :-). The garden is perfect with view over the cliffs, parking right in front of the house and stunning walks close by. For dinner try The Royal Oak as it's super cosy and amazing food. Or Izabella in Hastings, great Turkish restaurant. If you are looking to stay in Sussex, Patricia's place is the perfect choice.

Rita and Dennis were very welcoming, their cottage is spotless, comfortable and has everything one could need including a well equipped bathroom with a great shower. Rita cooked us a lovely breakfast, and was also on hand to give advice on things to see and do in the local area. Had we stayed longer (than one night) we would have spent time relaxing in the sun in their splendid garden. As it is we had things to do, and Fairlight is a great location for visiting Rye, Hastings and other coastal spots.

A lovely clean and comfortable room. The little touches like nice tea and coffee and toiletries were really handy. The location was nice and quiet and handy for little trips around the south coast. We cycled into Rye quite easily from here. Desi was a lovely and helpful host.

We really enjoyed our stay. Patricia and her husband Tony are very welcoming and friendly. We booked the place on a very short notice and had no problem. The house is nice but two big dogs really make it into a home.

I stayed in the Capa room with my partner for two nights over the bank holiday weekend. The room was small but newly fitted out, the bathroom was clean and the room nicely furnished with comfortable beds. Desi was friendly and easy to communicate with in the lead up to our stay. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were great (although these were not replenished during our stay). Some things to bear in mind if you are thinking of booking . Fairlight is a tiny village with no amenities within walking distance, so you will need to drive to get anywhere. There is a very small kitchenette which is shared with two other rooms but to access this you have to go outside. There is a picnic bench outside the rooms but nowhere else to sit and eat breakfast (or other meals) so this is fine in very warm weather but not if it's chilly or raining. In the Capa room and the other ground floor room there are no windows apart from the French doors which lead out on to the driveway so not possible to keep a window open whilst in the room which meant it got quite close and stuffy at night. Overall we had a nice stay but I felt that the accommodation was very basic for the price we paid compared to other places I have stayed.

We had a very warm welcome from Rita and Dennis, who were great hosts and great company! We were greeted with a cup of tea, the room was spotless and bed very comfy, breakfast was delicious, we couldn't have asked for more! The surrounding area is beautiful and close to walks, beaches and pretty towns and villages. Wish we could've stayed longer to explore more!

Rita and Dennis were wonderful hosts. They were so warm and welcoming and we enjoyed lovely chats with them over a cup of tea. The room was lovely- really tastefully decorated and very comfortable bed. The bathroom was great too. Rita has a great eye for design and the whole house is lovely. It's a great location and we did a walk down into Hastings along the coastal path, as well as visiting Battle and Beachy Head. Lola the dog is also a delight! Breakfast was hearty and tasty. I would highly recommend staying here - we felt so well looked after!

Fantastic location right next to Hastings Country Reserve which has beautiful views of the cost and great walking. The room and house are beautiful, with lovely views of the garden and sea beyond. Desi's place is a comfortable and cosy accomadation. We rented all 3 of her rooms and paid extra to use her photographic studio across the courtyard from the rooms as a sitting area to eat breakfast in as it wasn't warm enough to sit outside on the bench and tables which is the only other seating area for meals. So if you have kids, best to book the studio too. Bathrooms were fantastic and rooms heated up really quickly. The best bedroom if you're only renting one room is the one on the top (can't remember the name of it), it's really warm and cosy. Desi was a great host and really helpful. The location is the best! 10 minute drive into our favourite town Rye which is so picturesque and fantastic restaurants. 5 min drive down to Pett Level beach for a beautiful walk along the beach (better than Camber sands) and her place is a walk away from the beautiful Hastings country park trail which you can walk along the coast for magnificent views. So all in all recommended. Main area of discontent is nothing to do with Desi but Air b n b's outrageous new service charge fees they've added without advertising. £115 service fee was added onto our bill which makes a big difference if you're trying to save money by using Air B n B instead of a hotel and even worse it's non-refundable if you cancel your trip even if the host has a flexible cancellation policy. This has left us wondering whether it's worth using air bnb in the future. Desi's place was great though and I noticed you can find her place in Rooms in Sussex instead of going via air b n b if you wanted.

We stayed in Beaton Room in April 2016, Desi has done a great job converting this into a beautifully appointed accommodation. There are thoughtful touches in the room like tea making facilites, fridge (with water & milk for tea!) & toiletries. Bed linen and towels were all great quality. It is tucked away in a peaceful location in Fairlight. Desi was very accommodating & helpful to us throughout.

Desi was a great host. She was very helpful to provide recommendations prior to our trip and also provided ample information on the local area in the room. She was also readily available during our stay. The location was great for exploring both Hastings & Rye. It's a beautiful area of England!

We have just had a lovely short stay with Desi. Desi is a very welcoming host. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated and each had access to a kitchen. As the weather was nice we could sit outside together for breakfast. If you were a big group using all the rooms, be aware that there isn't a lounge area for you all to hang out in. This didn't matter for us as we were out and about all weekend but probably good to know if you're a family.

Desi was very helpful and provided us with very good recommendations on where to eat and what to visit. The rooms are in a very good condition – beds are comfortable, bed linen is very nice, everything is new and clean. The location is great as well, the sea is quite close and the Fairlight village itself is a very green and beautiful place. The only thing that we missed a bit was a living room, however the internal patio is very beautiful and cosy; we spent all our time there even when it rained. The barbecue is newly built and of a really good quality.

We had a great stay at Seaglint. It's a great house for both adults and kids with lots of open plan sociable seating areas but also quiet spaces to escape to such as the upstairs living room with amazing sea views. We had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay. Fairlight is a quiet village but ideally placed to visit Hastings and its surrounding attractions and places of interest. The house is perfectly positioned for walkers being on the lane that leads to Hastings country park. Overall a great stay!

A stylish, scenic and very comfortable retreat!

My husband and I stayed at Colin's place with our almost two year old and it was great. The trampoline and toy kitchen were a great addition to a lovely, spacious and scenic house. Colin provided a detailed itinerary of ammenities at the house and near by, which was great. The nearest beach is a 5 min drive, which was fine but it is a little out of the way for other activities for little ones so we spent quite a bit of time driving to different towns.

Easy going and friendly family home. Clean bright room as in pics..very flexible host who let me checkout midday which was nice. Thanks Anneli, just what I needed.

The room is nice. The shower didn't work when I was there, though, so that was a little inconvenient. I don't really like taking baths, but they do have a bathtub. The hosts were really nice and helpful. They made sure I had everything I need. Wifi was good. They have a kid that I didn't meet when I arrived, but I could hear running around starting at about 6:30 am. Good place to stay for the night, as long as you're not looking to sleep in late. ;)

I had a wonderful time in Anneli's place. The room was cozy and bed comfortable. The house is in proximity (1-2 miles) to the Hastings Country Park. In the room, I could find a bunch of maps and leaflets about local attractions, what helped me to decide what to visit the next day. Both Anneli and his husband were very nice and communicative. There were also very helpful - just before I came to their house I had slightly injured my hand. They helped me to bear my hand, saving me from an inconvinient visit in the local emergency center. The next morning I got a tasty breakfast. Overal, the whole stay was fantastic. I can really recomend this plae to everybody.

Anneli and Julian are very easygoing hosts. Very friendly and very helpful. I felt very comfortable in their home from day one. I stayed with them for a month and had some space in the fridge and the in the kitchen and I was able to cook daily. I am very grateful for all their help for my new beginning in Hastings!!

We stayed three nights in Bindu and Alex's apartment. It was our first trip to Hastings and had a really great trip. The apartment is situated across the street from a really nice park, as well as having great views of the sea, and a short walk down the hill to the old town. The apartment itself was perfect for our stay, being spacious and well equipped with games and cooking supplies to make our stay easy and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend a stay in this lovely apartment if you plan a trip to Hastings.

Hastings is an interesting place to visit and Bindu's flat a fabulous place to stay, welcoming, comfortable, she has a great eye for detail and also the view is wonderful. The old town is a steep but enjoyable close walk. The pier and new town just a little further. Great places to eat and friendly locals. If you want to chill I would really recommend bindu's place.

We visited Hastings on the 31/01/17 for one night while we were viewing houses to buy. Decided to stay at Bindu's as we have a 9 month old baby and we knew it was more logical to get an aibnb that a hotel room. What we didn't know is that we were in for a treat!!! The Flat is very homely, we felt very comfortable during our stay there and the more we were discovering about the place the more we were discovering about Bindu's attention to detail, everything was there for a reason practically and aesthetically. It's very airy and very bright, have big windows with views directly out to the coast and although its on a hill it feels you are right next to the sea. It's a fantastic place to be with a very young child, clean, safe, even have a few toys that our little one loved. The flat is well situated only a short walk downhill into town with a couple of pubs a little shop around the corner that has everything you need but Bintu has made sure that the flat is well stocked and there everything you might need for a short stay. Bindu and her flat embody the spirit of Airbnb, its what made this community what it is today, full of great hosts and great places to stay, thank you very very much.

Bindu was a fantastic host - she met us at the flat (despite it being after 8pm on a Friday) and showed us around. The flat was as lovely as pictured and Bindu had prepared a folder of suggestions for places to go/eat/drink/etc. Perhaps my favourite moment, though, was waking up on Saturday morning and looking out of the giant windows in the living room, out to the sea. The view simply could not be better. Bindu was also very accomodating with our departure time and was nice enough to liaise with one of my friends as my phone wasn't cooperating in the town! I'd definitely stay at Bindu's place again and will be recommending it to any friends who are looking for a seaside getaway.

Julian and Anneli are a very nice couple. The beds were comfortable, and we had no problem using the shared bath with another guest. There is a really nice Aldi's grocery store just down the hill from them.

Julian and Anneli have a wonderful home, and the bed is so comfortable! As hosts, they are extremely kind and generous and they always made sure my stay was enjoyable. We had many great conversations and when I had questions about British culture or other things in general, they were very knowledgeable. On the first day, Julian offered to drive us to a local pub that he had suggested and they loaned us 10£ for a taxi back, as we had not exchanged our euros yet. Overall the stay was very nice and gave me an experience that I will never forget.

Emma was a perfect host. She made us feel very comfortable and at home and provided us with a great breakfast to start the day. The place was clean and tidy and not far to drive from the town center. The bedroom was a bit basic but fine if all you need to do is put your head down for the night.

Emma made me feel very welcome. Even picked me up from the station. She is knows a lot about the surrounding area so offered me advice as to how to get to my destination the following day (even offered to give me a lift). I really felt at home when I was there.

Staying with Emma was just like staying with a friend.She was friendly and bubbly and really helpful during our stay,providing lots of useful info on the area and even a lift to Ore Station for us to catch the train.Breakfast was more than adequate and set out for us each morning.We didn't need to ask for anything as Emma had really thought of everything! The house is in a quiet residential area but only a ten minute drive from Hastings centre-so very convenient. We had a really enjoyable first experience of Airbnb staying with Emma and would definitely stay again.

I loved my room which had a sloping roof with a window's view onto the stars. It was clean, comfortable and private, with tea/coffee and a kettle provided. There was just enough mix of being able to chat and/or have a quiet stay alone. Highly recommended for a nice stay in Hastings!

I loved the eight days I spent at Francesca’s busy home in Hastings. Because she offers two AirBnB rooms I met people from Australia and Holland. I also got to know her friends Annette and Janice and to become acquainted with her son Steve. I have to admit that Finley may have been my favorite. It really was nice to be with so many friendly people. Francesca’s big six-room house easily accommodates AirBnB visitors. She has worked hard to make each room very comfortable. The included breakfast Francesca provided each morning was a treat. I was glad to finally visit Hastings, a place that’s been on my to-do list for a long time. The old town is delightful. The beach was full of families because I was there during a school vacation week, and that made it even more fun. I would gladly return to Francesca’s in the future if the opportunity arises. Thank you Fran!

A cosy and comfortable room with all I needed for a happy stay. Nice sea view through the Velux. Francesca was friendly and welcoming so I felt at home straightaway. It was very nice to have breakfast left for me so I could follow my own hectic schedule of relaxation! A great visit all round, thank you.

Jennifer accommodated a super last minute request. I was made to feel right st home and offered drinks and nibbles. Queenie the dog and the cat were adorable and my dog had a great time. Both in the room and in the large garden. The bed was comfortable and the curtains were black out so no light came in during the night. Light sleepers should be aware that the bedroom is right next to the flats only toilet where you can hear every flush but it didn't bother me at all (especially for this price). I was invited to stay for breakfast which was fantastic with homemade jams and breads made by the fabulous hostess. I was made to feel like an old friend rather than a paying guest. Highly recommended and a superb place on a budget

This is the best airbnb house i ever been. And the best accomodation as well. Is the best refurbished house i`ve seen. The bedroom is lovely and the detail of the boiler and the little golden tea set was nice. Everything in the house has been refurbished by her in an amazing vintage style. The pictures on the toilet, her art proyects in the living room, the kitchen accessories, the wooden house in the garden....every detail of this house is nice. She also provides you fresh bread, eggs and milk for breakfast. Jennifer was abroad but her house mate was friendly and helpful...oh and the two little dogs made our stay even more confortable.

Compact cottage in a great location to explore the Old Town of Hastings. Currently being refurbished but clean with all necessary facilities and excellent value because of this. Ideal size for a couple or young family, with parking adjacent although this is a little expensive and you may have to wait for a space as it gets very busy. If you like pubs don't miss The Stag on All Saints Street which is a couple of minutes walk away.

Ann's place is a small old cottage as it is mentioned. It is being renovated and still needs some fixing here and there. It is a good place to stay a couple of days and explore Hastings on (URL HIDDEN) is located in old Hastings where you won't need a car. Thank you Ann!It was a lovely way to start our vacation.

This lovely little cottage is ideally located for nightlife and beach visits. Locals are amazing and friendly. Freshest seafood on your doorstep. Perfect little place to rest your weary feet. With potential to be even more. Only downside decor slightly dated but when you are merely resting up this doesn't matter. Beds super comfy!!!!

The host is very nice and it's a great little cottage located on a busy road in the old town. Easy accessible and with good parking options - just make sure you pay & display as Hastings have some very active parking officers, even on Sundays. The host is currently doing up/fixing the place, but it's perfectly liveable with good heating (needed in Nov), warm water and cooking facilities.
