  • Our 2 night stay was absolutely amazing - we couldn’t have asked for such a wonderful stay and such great hosts. The pictures don’t do this place justice. As soon as you walk in you feel right at home - the place is cozy, inviting and super clean. The maple syrup is delicious as well! Will definitely return again in the future 🥰

If you need to be in the area or don’t mind a 30 min drive to Burlington, this is the place! You wake up, open the curtains and look out over a beautiful horse barn and horses. This is VT living.

The house is on 10 acres and has a pond in the backyard. It is private and the backyard is bordered by woods. Located just off a main road in Fairfax. (Route 104), it has mountain valley views. There is a large porch with a picnic table and grill for outdoor enjoyment. The porch swing is perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails. • My friends and I had a great time during our stay at Christine's place. The location was convenient to Smugglers Notch and the house was very comfortable. We enjoyed being able to use the propane grill, and the covered parking spot was also nice to have.

  • Christines place is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway to Vermont! The house is up on a hill with beautiful views and a really nice front porch. Bedrooms are very spacious and the extra TVs were a nice touch. It’s very close to Smugglers Notch ski resort and was a great way to be close to the slopes while also getting some privacy. Christine was very responsive and accommodating, even to our last minute request to bring a dog. Would highly recommend!

    Julia2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as said in the description. Clean, spacious and comfortable stay. Hosts took the time to plow the driveway close to our check in as we arrived during a snowstorm.

    Nickole2020-02-09T00:00:00Z

I have a cozy, quaint, country chic home that I take great pride in. It's a 7 minute walk to Lake Champlain, the new marina, Bayside Pavillion Restaurant and bar, a fishing pier as well as a local park with farmers markets and running paths. A 5 minute drive brings you to the heart of St. Albans town. Surrounded by another park, breweries, shops and restaurants. I live on a very quiet street. 40 minutes to Jay Peak and Smugglers Notch.
I am very accommodating and want my home to feel like yours. I have full screened in porch, grill, fire pit, garden and fenced in yard. I have a cozy living room with an electric fireplace that gives off a nice ambiance. I have a fully functioning kitchen that I am happy to share! I do live in my home with my two dogs Wesson & Tucker, a boxer mix and a lab that only bark when you come to the door!
I live in a very sweet, safe area down near the lake! I’m located on a quiet residential side street! When you are relaxing in my backyard or screened in porch, you will think you are in you’re own little private world!
  • Tamara is a wonderful host! She truly makes her home feel like yours while you are her guest. Her home is beautiful and the bedroom for Airbnb is very nice with a comfortable bed. She added many thoughtful touches to the space as well, such as snacks and toiletries. If I am ever in the area in the future I would absolutely stay here again!

    Bianca2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very homey and welcoming. Price was great. Great place for relaxation and solitude. Close to everything.

    Melissa2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is the best place I'm gone since I use RB&B (few years)... The place is great, clean, comfortable and Tamara had so many way to make us at ease... Thanks a lot for every things... Tamara, Wesson and Tucker 💕

    Catherine2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • I don't know where to begin with my praise for Tamara's outstanding hospitality, her attentiveness and eye for detail! Having been her first guest, I for sure was treated like a princess! In fact, the room is so cozy and just perfect for one person. I could even get some work done at the desk by the window (I just loooove the view!). The skylight added to the snugness, especially when it rained or hailed. There are even little snacks and toiletries provided for free. Everything was easy, practical and clean: sharing one bathroom, cooking in the oh-so-well-equipped kitchen or chilling in the spacious living room. A perfect place for dog lovers as Wesson and Tucker love to be around people and indeed want to be petted all day long! :)

This Fairfax studio apartment in 13 miles from Smugglers Notch, a perfect stay for anyone wanting to hit the slopes. The view from the back deck looks past a quintessential Vermont farm over to Mount Mansfield. This space is above our detached garage and is only accessible by stairs. The space offers a kitchenette and amenities to cook limited meals. There is a small clothing rack to hang garments. Unfortunately there is not WiF but, there is a hotspot connection for Comcast customers.
  • Beautiful space! Close to Smuggs and the winery. Great location!

    Liz2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

  • Very cozy and clean space, with a great view.

    Natalie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Anastasia's house! We stayed to ski at Smugglers Notch which is only 20 minutes away from her home. The rental space was great and had an incredible view of mt Mansfield and Smugglers Notch. Plenty of room for 3 people. The place was very warm, clean, and well kept. The accommodations were great and we were pleasantly surprised that there was a oven/ stove. We look very forward to staying there again!

  • We really enjoyed our stay here. The bed was very comfortable indeed. The only thing I didn’t realise was the proximity to quite a busy road, didn’t take away from the lovely view though.

  • Inge was amazing. The house was spotless and very cozy. She made us feel at home right away. There’s nothing she didn’t have! Would definitely stay again if ever in Fairfax.

    Jessica2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Inge went out of her way to make us comfortable and made sure we have everything we needed. She gave us lots of local tips and even lended us snow shoes when we didn’t have any. The sheets and towels were so soft and we loved the pool table in the living room. Wonderful location too with beautiful view of the mountains. The perfect quiet place for a stay. We would definitely book again!

    Kaleigh2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • A very nicely decorated room with a nice view. Ideal would have sat, even if a table for writing would have been available. With Inge we appreciated the exchange about the country and the people.

    Brigitte2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We found the accommodations better than it looked. The location was great for our leaf peeping. This is a great place to enjoy northern Vermont. We would definitely return.

Camping site on lake Champlain. Site includes a Tiny House for sleeping with a small building with toilet and sink and lake water. We have a futon for sleeping, however we do not supply the bedding. This is a large private lot with full access to Lake Champlain and is also located on the Vermont bike route.
The camp site has a Tiny House for sleeping and is located right on Lake Champlain. It has a futon and a rollaway bed for sleeping. Because we supply the Tiny House for sleeping for only two guest we no longer allow campers or tents on the property as they kill the grass. However we do allow parents with one child as long as the child sleeps in the building with parents.
The camping site is located on Lake Champlain approximately 35 miles north of Burlington Vermont.
  • This little camp has all the charm and location shown in its write up. Although my travel plans changed several times during the week, my host was kind, patient, and responsive!! I will be sure to make plans to stay here in the future. Great location, close to UVM, close to Montreal, close to nature!! Thanks, Cindy!

    Sharon2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so great, we adored the cabin and location!!

    James2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time! The other reviews already describe the property pretty well. Definitely a memorable stay!

    Dominique2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Cute cabin right on the lake with a spacious deck that's ideal for sunbathing and admiring the beautiful views. The fire pit is a bonus as well. This is a great place for those looking to get away and enjoy time in nature, while at the same time being a short drive from local attractions and shops in St. Albans. Cindy and Phil are gracious hosts and attentive hosts. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back!

    Monica2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a great little get away! It is right on the water and has beautiful sunsets! We were greeted with a beautiful flower arrangement on the front porch and a paper listing everything going on in the area. There are also brochures for various activities in the local area as well as playing cards and tic tac toe. There are a couple picnic tables and some chairs to sit on the deck and take in the amazing view. There is a bathroom with a flush toilet and running water set a bit back from the cabin. Top everything off with a rip roaring fire at night and this place is the perfect mixture of roughing it and a home away from home! Cindy and her husband were very welcoming and sweet. They stopped by to check in on us the first and second night and we talked for quite a bit! They are very kind and understanding. For things to do....St. Albans is a cute little town about 15 minutes away - we recommend Mimmo’s if you like Italian. Burlington is about 30 minutes away and has a bunch of great breweries/distilleries/cideries. This place is far enough away from the hustle and bustle, but close to the necessities if you need to make a pit stop!

    Jennifer2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This spot was perfect for me! It is very simple, but has everything you need. The deck is unbeatable and the sunsets amazing! Cindy and Phil responded right away when I had questions. I will definitely be back!

    Melissa2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable hut, ideal for folks used to tent or RV camping. Cindy and Phil are hard-working, warm people, and it's amazing for us city people how much of the property Phil has built with his own hands. Land has been in Cindy's family for some generations and the host's connection makes this stretch of beach even more special

    Natalie2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Staying here was great. Cindy and Phil were friendly and made sure we had what we needed. The tiny structure was great for sleeping. The views were great and we enjoyed swimming in the lake. It isn't far to get to several destinations in Vermont from here.

  • This was our 2nd visit to The Secret Passage. Alisha and her husband, Tim are such gracious hosts. You couldn’t ask for better! We drove up to a welcome sign on the front porch, the smell of fresh baked brownies when we walked in and hugs like we’re visiting old friends or family. Everything is clean, thoughtful, and homey. The accommodations are super comfortable, the breakfasts are delicious! There’s lots to do and see within an easy drive from here. Can’t wait to return again, we always hate to leave:(

    Kay2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Secret Passage made us feel right at home! Alisha, Tim, and Bella were all so welcoming! Each morning we were served a delectable breakfast - courtesy of Tim and his incredible cooking skills! They were very considerate and accommodated the various dietary needs for all guests. The location was perfect - situated off a quiet rural road, but close enough to easily access the Burlington/Shelburne/Waterbury/Stowe areas! They’re very knowledgeable about the area and want to ensure you have the best experience! Hopefully we can come for a stay again soon! ❤️

    Jessica2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is an extraordinary Airbnb. It sits across from a beautiful river, very picturesque, and calm. Alisha and Tim accommodated us last minute on our way back from Montreal and made us feel very welcome. The house is a gem, over a hundred years old and beautifully decorated and maintained. They provided a wonderful breakfast with the other travelers. We highly recommend their place and would return if we visit the area.

    Jack2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome stay! Alisha and Tim are so nice and welcoming :)

    Jordyn2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Alisha and Tim have made The Secret Passage something very special! You feel at home the moment you enter and meet them. The bed was so comfortable, their hospitality stellar and the breakfasts such an added bonus. The location is excellent, quick and easy access to Burlington, Waterbury, Stowe and the Champlain islands. We would recommend to family and friends and we hope to return some day!

    David2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Alisha's designation as a super-host is well-deserved. She is a GREAT communicator and clearly wants her guests to be comfortable. Everything in the description and guest-reviews is true and accurate. We came with bikes and kayaks to explore the area for the first time and the Secret Passage is an ideal location to explore from - riverside rural quiet street yet very short drive to the city and Island Line Bike Trail. Guests have access to a great screened-in porch with tables and chairs, kitchen, and upstairs TV sitting area so there are plenty of comfy spots to read alone or interact with other guests and hosts as you wish. Breakfasts and snacks were wonderful. We are not done exploring the area and want to return to the Secret Passage next year.

    Jandy2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • A Wonderful Bed and Breakfast. It is hard to describe what fine hosts Alisha and Tim are. Let me make a few observations from our recent stay. This is a meticulously maintained and spotlessly clean 200 year old farm house with beautiful landscaping, peaceful acreage and river frontage. Whether it is watching sunset from the dock, savoring breakfast on the screened in porch, relaxing in the upstairs parlor and enjoying the lovely guest rooms or sharing a bottle of wine with other guests and the hosts; this place is just wonderful. A couple of surprises. The location is even better than advertised. While it has all of the charm of a Vermont farm experience, it is 3 minutes from the interstate and one exit away from all that the Burlington area has to offer. The Secret Passage is perfect for a parents visit to St. Michael's College or UVM and ideal for an extended family get away where you rent the entire three bedroom upstairs. Tim and Alisha have created a perfect spot for a post graduation reception or, maybe if you asked real nicely, a wedding venue. These hosts take what's possible in innkeeping to a whole different level. They elevate it from a job to a calling. Stay at Secret Passage before the "secret" is so well known that they are booked a year in advance.

  • You won't be disappointed! Beautiful historic farm house, clean, bright, airy. Very centered and easy access to all attractions, quaint villages and towns. Relaxing, quiet atmosphere. Friendly, helpful and all around great hosts!! Great breakfasts and baked goods which were real treats! Nice conversations in the varanda, excellent wine! Truly a Magical Place! We are now closed for the winter. We want to thank all our wonderful guests for being a part of a very busy and enjoyable season. We will be opening for the 2020 season on May fifteenth and are looking forward to another season of meeting fun and interesting folks. See you then! Sam and Fran
PLEASE READ THROUGH BEFORE RESERVING. Alder Brook Cabin is a tiny rustic lodge on the edge of the woods. Jericho Road is a main route to the northeast corner of the state and can be busy during morning and evening commute times however, the cabin is secluded from the road. It features a single room with attached screened porch, bunk beds for two, electric lights, a small fridge, coffee maker, microwave and WIFI. Enclosed outdoor hot and cold shower and marine style toilet are located twenty five feet away. These amenities are "open-air" but lattice enclosed for privacy (see photos). The screened porch is a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee, a glass of wine or a dram of scotch in the evening. Board games are available on request. There is a fire pit with benches outside for cozy evenings by the fireside and marshmallow toasting. Firewood is supplied. This is "Glamping" at its best: almost camping but without sleeping on the hard ground! Instead, be close to the outdoors but enjoy clean, pressed sheets cotton bath linens, and the hottest, strongest shower you've had in years. What more could you ask? We are ten miles from the Burlington waterfront and four miles out of Essex Junction. Stowe and Ben and Jerry's are a forty minute drive. A multiplex theater, grocery and outlet stores, restaurants and mini golf are all found within a mile of the cabin. Parking is a few feet away onsite and we are on a limited bus route. (no weekend service) This is a place for folks who want to "rough it" a bit but still maintain some creature comforts. We have spent many nights in the cabin and we love it but, all the same it's not for everyone. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. This year the cabin has additional electrical outlets and a station for convenient charging of electronic devices. We're already off to a great season with our usual wonderful late spring weather and lots of new friends lining up to visit the cabin. We're looking forward to meeting and welcoming you to our special little corner of Vermont. To us there are no strangers, just friends we haven't met. See you soon! Check in time is 4:00pm to 9:00pm only. Please be respectful of this. We have very busy lives and much of the time it is just not possible to have the cabin ready for occupancy before 4:00.
The neighborhood is a fairly quiet residential area. Behind the cabin is an extensive forested area with a brook.
  • This is a great option for a one-night stop or for the thrifty traveler who packs light, as the space is very small. The beds are VERY comfortable, and the cabin is quaint and cozy!

    Katie2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • It is rustic in that the shower truly is outdoors (nice hot water) and the bathroom is a portapotty (spell?). It’s a cute space very accessible to Burlington and a supermarket and restaurants nearby.

  • Great location close to Smuggler’s Notch and Autumn was quick to respond to any questions.

  • Comfortable space just 10 minutes from Smugglers Notch! The perfect spot for a weekend ski trip. The apartment was cozy, easy to find, and very easy to check in to. We would definitely come back again

    Mika2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Autumn's place was perfect for myself and 3 siblings to stay overnight for a Smugglers Notch ski day. Just big enough for 4 people. Not a full kitchen so don't plan on bringing food to cook, but it's a great place to crash for the night before hitting the slopes the next day. Would for sure stay again if i was up in the area again!

    Elyse2020-02-20T00:00:00Z

  • Autumn was a great host and very accommodating to our later arrival! The house was also really warm and comfortable :) Thank you!

    Christina2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Homie, cozy, just what we needed for our MLK weekend snowboarding/ski trip to Smuggs. Our hosts were very welcoming and extremely helpful! The place was just what we needed at a great per night rate. We were only there to sleep, and freshen up since we spent the rest of the time on the mountain so it not having a full kitchen was not an issue. And it being a close drive to Smugglers Notch was a plus plus. Will definitely think about coming back here for another Smugglers Notch trip.

    William2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Autumn's space is awesome! As noted by the other reviewers, the apartment is clean and has all the amenities one could need. Furthermore, the location is idyllic. Autumn is a responsive and kind host. I would highly recommend staying at her place and would stay there again in a heartbeat!

A special little retreat. 12 minutes to Smugglers Notch. 25 min to Stowe. Off grid. 222 square foot Cozy little log cabin, wood stove, composting toilet, on demand (small in size )hot water shower, solar electricity. Full kitchen with refrigerator. The cabin is private with parking . Everything about this special place is small but it's very homey and has everything you need . Verizon cellular works perfect with full 4g LTE.
Log cabin tiny house. Homey , Airbnb has made it so that guests can cancel at anytime. I would prefer a little notice if possible but I understand as well. I do hope that you come. The cabin is a good place for people to get away. My plan to keep the cabin a safe place for people and to ease peoples concerns is that I will be bleach wiping surfaces . I would prefer if Guests brought their own bedding and towels at this time. The beds are full and a single. Also I will have a min 48 hours between reservations. I hope this helps.
Awesome little ski town 12 minute drive to Amazing skiing at Smugglers Notch ski area. The cabin is just 4 miles to great restaurants, grocery story, galleries, canoe/kayak rentals, 30 mile bike trail, horseback trail rides, distilleries, and Wineries , day spa covered bridges and more. In the summer time is 23 minutes to Stowe over the historic mountain pass called Smugglers Notch. 50 minutes to Burlington. 32 minute to jay peak
  • The little cabin was great! PK was a great host. With everything that is happening in our world he made extra effort to make us feel safe and comfortable. Would totally recommend staying!

    Marie2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place was just what we were looking for. It was great to experience the off-grid type living in a tiny cabin! Pk was a great host and he was there to give us instructions about the cabin when we arrived. We had no problems and slept like logs with the running stream just behind us. Very private I would recommend to anyone looking for a similar experience!

  • We had a great stay at the cabin. Came up for a weekend in the winter which was beautiful. It has a good location for accessing Mount Mansfield, Smuggler's Notch, and town is close for meals out. Pk was helpful at check-in with the details of the cabin and local spots to check out. It's a simple, beautiful cabin!

  • Audrey and John are the most genuine, warm and welcoming hosts you will ever come across. They have a beautiful house along the Lamoille river in a bucolic setting of rolling hills on a country road with a covered bridge. Quintessential country Vermont from a Currier and Ives painting. The room is spacious with large windows looking out over the river. The bed was terrific, the pillows dreamy and the bathroom and shower perfect. There is an attached private den with TV and coffee machine. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and talking with hosts.

    Donna2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • John & Audrey were so amazingly down to earth and extremely accommodating. They gave us great recommendations for things to do in the local surrounding areas as well as things to see on our way home. Their home is so gorgeous and immaculate and their property was a beautiful sight. We were not sure what to expect as this is our first Airbnb experience, but this was definitely something to come back to again in the summer. They are just great people all around and made us feel so comfortable within the first few minutes of meeting them. Highly recommended this to anyone wanting to experience Vermont country setting in a peaceful atmosphere. We were completely relaxed and couldn’t be happier!

  • The greatest place to be in St Albans very close to everything that you would love to see and do. Highly recommended

  • This was my second time in St. Albans. Driving all the way from New Jersey, I was so pleased and happy when I arrived to Lisa's home. It was so clean and cozy and offered me exactly what I needed after a long drive. I would check her guide book for food and other suggestions because that's where I found out about Twiggs Gastropub, where I had a great meal. I highly recommend Lisa's studio, and I would def come back again.

  • Great location walking distance to downtown. Probably the best stocked kitchen I have seen in a air b&b! Hosts even had the place decorated nice for the Christmas holidays.... saw one post with a lady saying the entrance was hard because she was a senior, there is 2 exits and the emergency exit is the harder one, not the normal one. Thanks for our stay

  • Edmund was a great host. He spent time hanging out with us, giving tips as to what to do in the area. He offered us food and coffee in the morning, let us use his home for showers, and gave us for a tour of his beautiful property. The location is beautiful, a bit out in the middle of nowhere, but just perfect for hikers. The cabins are very nice, clean and neat. No heating in the small cabins, so be prepared. However, Edmund did bring us extra blankets! The beds in the photo are inflatable, which was a bit unexpected. However, the entire experience was very nice.

The Lodge in Milton is a cozy, cabin-like space surrounded by nature. The house is only 25 minutes from downtown Burlington and the perfect place to stay if you don't want to be surrounded by traffic. Guests have a private entrance with a gorgeous deck and gas fireplace. There is space for four guests. Because we are nestled in the woods, WiFi is spotty - but you won’t need it since you’re surrounded by nature! We also have a steep driveway, 4WD/AWD recommended during the winter months!!
The Lodge has one bedroom with a queen size bed. There is extra sleeping space for two additional guests m on the full size sofa bed in the living room. The pool is shared only with Molly and her fiancé, Stephen.
Only 20 minutes to all major surrounding towns, this is the perfect location for a getaway. Downtown Burlington is only 20 min away. Coming to Vermont for a ski trip. Smugglers Notch Ski Resort is 30 min away, and is one of the most popular resorts in Vermont. Smuggs is also known for being the most family friendly resort!

  • The place is much nicer than the pictures let on. We went for our anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised. It was very comfortable and cozy. Loved having wine by the fire at night and coffee by the fire in the morning. It was just a peaceful place to put your feet up and relax. Not to far from town either which was nice for when we wanted to have an adventure.

This is a new apartment I constructed myself. Besides the electrical and plumbing I have done all the work myself. It took a year to create a space I would want to stay in if I were traveling. One bedroom full bath with walkout egress window in bedroom. Fully stocked kitchen. Queen bed in bedroom. Closet space, bureaus and bathroom necessities. Fold out queen size couch in living room. 3inch topper for sofa bed available on request. Cozy and comfortable. We will take care of cleaning bathroom, kitchen and apartment. We will change linens and vacuum. If you rearrange furniture please put it back before you leave. Thank you

  • This place is in a great location. In a nice quiet neighborhood yet still within a few minute drive to plenty of restaurants and things you may need. The apartment is very cute. Renzo did a great job really filing the place with everything you need and may need. So you probably won’t need to run to that store for a forgotten item because Renzo probably already has backups for you. It was nice and cozy warm on our arrival. Very clean space. A great spot to end our days of snowboarding. Renzo’s instructions are clear and easy about getting into the apartment. It’s a great stay! We definitely will look to stay here again on our next trip up there.

    Zoe2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Renzo's space was very clean and homey. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Renzo was also very efficient with communicating. I would certainly recommend this space to those looking to stay in this area.

  • Renzo's apartment had everything we needed for our trip to Vermont! It was conveniently located and easy to access. We did not have any issues arise while we were there, but it was comforting knowing that Renzo was nearby and available if anything came up. The apartment is clean, cozy, and well stocked. I would recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to the Essex Junction area!

  • This was such a great place to stay on our trip to Vermont. The place was lovely and had plenty of thoughtful touches! We enjoyed tea and coffee that was available. The bathroom had plenty of towels and many toiletries readily available. The bedroom had a great size bed for two that was comfy and cozy. The living room had plenty of information on local foods and places to go. Overall, we thoroughly enjoy our stay and would definitely recommend staying here!

  • Beautiful, comfortable place with wonderful hosts. Lovely grounds and common areas, delicious breakfast. We stayed in the Yellow room which has a great bed and a charming deck overlooking the garden, pool and large yard. Only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

    Darius2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, quaint and all the amenities of a hotel without all the hub bub. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful. We had the yellow room with a deck to the pretty back yard. The hosts were just the right amount friendly and respectful. And believe it or not so were the animals. We may come back every year for a peaceful beautiful anniversary.

    Jesse2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful breakfast. Very clean with an amazing pool and hot tub as well! We hope to be back in the future!

  • Jacquie and Brad have a spectacular Bed and Breakfast. We stayed one night with a "full house" and another night where we were the only guests. It was great either way and a delicious breakfast was provided both days. The room was clean, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable! We hope to stay again soon!!

Our beautiful home is situated on 12 acres over-looking the hamlet of St. Albans and the islands of Lake Champlain. The view spans from Whiteface Mountain in New York to the far north of Canada. On clear days we can see the skyline of Montreal, Quebec! Come, relax, enjoy the sunset. #incredibleviewvt
A comfortable home with plenty of space and lots of room to spread out with a private room and bath to call your own. Our deck is the perfect place to unwind and soak in the beauty of northern Vermont. #incredibleviewvt
You have to look hard to see a neighbor but you don't have to look far to see the beauty of what we call home.
  • You will absolutely love this beautiful place. The view of Lake Champlain is awesome. You will feel so lucky to have found such a nice place to stay. And there cute dog will love you like family. Brad Wills from Mansfield Ma

  • When I first realized that St. Albans was 30 minutes north of Burlington, I was worried we wouldn't have access to night life or cafes for breakfast during our long weekend. I was certainly wrong! St. Albans has two breweries, three cafes, and lots of restaurants to try. There's even a speak-easy if you can find it. Dave and Sue's home is located slightly out of town, but they are willing to be your designated driver if you need one for the evening. They aren't kidding when they say you should have an all wheel drive car to reach their home in winter though - my manual civic was able to make it up the first hill, but we had to park at the bottom of their driveway and walk the rest of the way up. If you are undeterred by a steep uphill walk, their view is definitely worth it - Lake Champlain and New York State are both visible, even on hazy days, and the stars are overwhelming on clear nights. When you do want to head into Burlington, they are located near I-89, so you'll be there in no time. I'm definitely looking forward to future visits in other seasons to see what else the area has to offer, and when I do visit the area, I hope I can stay with Dave and Sue again.

    Melissa2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancee and I stayed at Dave & Sue's place for a wedding. Though we didn't have the opportunity to meet Sue, our interactions with Dave were very helpful and informative. Their space was very clean and nicely laid out. The view from their property is absolutely breathtaking (the pictures don't do it justice). I would highly recommend that anyone who needs a place to stay in the St. Albans area to check out Dave & Sue's place.

    Dylan2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We were very comfortable staying at Sue and Dave's place. They took the time to introduce us to the area and the lower level of their home, where we had a pleasant and very clean place to stay and rest. The views are spectacular. I would highly recommend this home and its owners to friends looking for a place to stay in northern Vt.

    Mary2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Dave & Sue are amazing hosts only matched by the views they will show you once you arrive. They are extremely warm and welcoming people. Their home is sparkling clean with very comfortable mattresses, a private level of their home for the guests, and a playful little puppy that will always entertain. They offered us beverages, fresh picked Vermont apples or rides into town. They are "all-star superhosts."

    Joseph2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sue and Dave are very nice, friendly, and hospitality. Sue waited outside to welcome us. And she recommended nearby attractions and restaurants. The most wonderful is their house is an incredible scenic view point, especially at sunset. The park nearby is a wonderful site to view Lake Champlain. The rooms are very cozy and the beds are comfortable. We also have a private living room and bedroom to use. We highly recommend their house for a great vacation stay. It could not be better.

  • Dave & Sue's place was a true gem. The view from the home is beautiful. The space is roomy, quiet, private and comfortable. Sue and Dave gave great directions and recommendations for our short time in St Albans. Thanks so much!

  • Dave and Sue are excellent hosts! We shared some great conversations and they were extremely accommodating. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and the views from the deck were absolutely amazing.

We actually went skiing to Stowe, and as our trip was kind of last minute, everything around the mountain was sold out. This place is about 50 mins away from the resort in the winter as some roads are closed, and we didn’t regret booking it.

Our beautifully renovated century home is fully furnished and equipped. Four bedrooms plus overflow space sleeps maximum 12. Chef's kitchen, gorgeous views, 2 miles from interstate exit 18, 35 minutes to Smuggler's Notch ski resort, situated halfway between Burlington and Saint Albans, Vermont, 90 minutes to Montreal. Canoes and kayaks available for a paddling on Lake arrowhead in season. Bed and bath linens provided, gas grill, wi-Fi, satellite TV, hiking trails, secluded yet close to restaurants grocery stores - all Vermont has to offer. Set on 23 acres and backed right up to the railroad tracks.
This century home has been lovingly renovated and has the beauty and charm of its age with all the comforts convenience and flow of a modern house. The living space is characterized by the wonderful views of arrowhead mountain lake from the living space, dining room, kitchen, and front porch. Hardwood floors throughout our mostly original and in excellent condition. The living room and dining room are laid in an alternating pattern of maple and red birch. There is a main floor bedroom located across the hall from the half bath. Upstairs are three bedrooms, the master having its own bath en suite, and the common hall bathroom. There are three queen size beds, one double, and a pullout sofa making a queen bed in the living room. So when we say “sleeps 10” that’s two per bed. The kitchen has a gas range, dishwasher, French door refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, waffle maker, immersion blender, portable mixer, toaster, crockpot, Keurig, dishes, pots and pans flatware and utensils.
We love the feeling of seclusion afforded us by the fact that we are the only house on this road. The short hill approaching the house is fairly steep for which we are grateful since it affords us a wonderful view in all seasons of Arrowhead Mountain Lake. Guests enjoy birdwatching, including osprey and heron nesting on the lake, and have reported turtle, deer, and turkey sightings. The railroad tracks run along the back of the house and provide another point of interest. Many guests enjoy hearing the train as it goes by - the Amtrak almost silent, and the freight trains heavier and making their presence known. People report hearing them in the night sometimes sleeping next to a mate who heard nothing. The fact that we are not near a crossing means that we don't hear the whistle except from far away when the wind is right. The house is not on the water, but is over the road from the water. 104A is busy at times, and is characterized by two lanes and a 40 mph speed limit. The canoes and kayaks are kept in a secure boat lodge which is one third of a mile hike from the house. For those who don't wish to hike to the boat lodge there is a private parking spot near to it. The boat lodge itself is directly across the road from the fishing and boating access. Boats may be portaged or carried on wheeled cradle to the water just over the road. Stays under 30 nights are subject to cleaning fee $100 and Vermont State Lodging tax 9%.
  • Deborah's Elderberry Lodge was an amazing place to stay. The space was beautiful and very well kept. It had a very cozy feel that my friends and I loved and found ourselves missing as soon as we left. The view from the porch was amazing. I knew it was beautiful from the picture provided in the listing but seeing it in person was better than I could have ever expected.

  • Deb's house was great. Beautiful location well maintained house.

    Sharon2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Deborah met us at the house and showed us around. The listing provided fair warning of the train track, but it was fairly quiet. The main road can also get a bit noisy with trucks. The house was beautiful inside with plenty of space, bathrooms, and bedrooms. The kitchen was clearly designed by someone who likes to cook and was great to have. Overall, excellent stay for a wedding at Grace Hill Farm just a couple miles down the road.

  • We had a lovely stay at Kaitlyn’s place. There was plenty of room for our group of 3 adults, 1 teenager, 1 baby, and 1 dog. There was a dog crate we used when we went out to dinner. I loved the wood burning stove. We had a fun evening playing games that were provided. Close proximity to Smuggler’s Notch was a plus.

  • Everything about this stay was fantastic. The space is super cute and cozy and has everything you’d need for a weekend stay. Check in was easy and Katie is very responsive if you need anything. She also had some great local recommendations for restaurants/breweries/etc for our weekend. The space was about a 10 min drive to Smuggler’s Notch which so getting to the mountain was simple and quick. I would highly recommend Katie’s spot and we would definitely stay here again!

  • Out of 4 Airbnb's this vacation, this was by far our favorite! From the beginning to the end our experience was top notch! As we pulled up, we noticed a chalkboard welcoming us and congratulating us on our anniversary. Alisha met us at the door and gave us a tour of her lovely home and provided us with a complimentary bottle of wine, again nice touch :) ! Little did we know we would be spoiled ...daily breakfasts with fresh raspberries from their garden, pancakes, bacon, quiche, yogurt...what a spread! Tim printed out directions and gave us a tip to get to Montreal without waiting. Alisha also provided us with print outs of recommendations...another nice touch! Alisha and Tim were outstanding hosts. I cannot say this enough! We felt very welcomed and they gave us our space. But we really enjoyed learning more about them and enjoyed our time sharing wine together just talking. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the dock across the street. It's a nice focal point and a perfect place to watch the sunset. It also hosts the local rowing team. We wished we could have seen them in action but we did see the team set up...next time! The front porch is very inviting and is a great place to watch the sunset as well and play games. The bedroom had everything we needed and the bed was oh so comfy. As an Event Manager, I pay attention to detail and there were a lot of special touches throughout this home. Tastefully decorated too! Again, what a great experience. We highly recommend if you are looking for a special getaway!

  • The Secret Passage will soon not be a well kept secret! Alisha and Tim are the most warm and friendly and attentive hosts you will ever stay with. They have mastered the art of what makes a host home work well. They are completely tuned in to their guests, whether you are there for rest and retreat (as I was for 10 days!) And always ready to chat and share life stories as well. In my many stays at Air BBs , their place surpassed the rest. Comfortable, true to it's description, authentic in character . Lovely restored farmhouse, with important amenities taken care of, such as a heavenly bed, clean bath and fluffy towels and all the extra necessities, wonderful healthy breakfasts, social time on the porch, great tips for local places to go. I was lucky to get a little private boat ride on the Lamoille River on my last night. Am sitting at home in Colorado now, teary-eyed as I reminisce on a beautiful stay!

  • We had a great time at Alisha & Tim’s place! Oh my goodness there are so many good things we could say. Sitting on the front porch and relaxing for breakfast was so nice. The bacon 🥓 and pancakes 🥞 were delicious. They are so friendly and the tips they gave were so helpful! We love that they had a list of places that we might be interested in available when we arrived!! We are definitely planning to go back and would recommend this place if you are in the area!!

  • This was my first stay in an AirBnB and it was stellar. Alisha communicated quickly and clearly. She and her husband were welcoming, friendly hosts who allowed us to make ourselves at home. Alisha offered wine and conversation on their screened in porch when I arrived, and prepared two delicious breakfasts for us during our stay. The historic home is in a quiet, lovely place across from a sleepy scenic river. Three upstairs bedrooms with comfortable beds and a sitting area are available for guests, with a shared bathroom. The company was congenial and considerate, so sharing the bathroom was never an issue. While the location is quiet and secluded, it’s still close to main roads/highways and Lake Champlain, so getting out to explore is easily done, and your hosts will be ready and able to offer excellent suggestions and directions. I truly wish I could have stayed more than a couple of days!

The Inn at Buck Hollow Farm is an award winning, 27 year old, fully licensed, 4 room inn. We offer a “Vermont Experience” rather than simply a room. Yet 3 of our 4 rooms are only $ 110/night plus tax INCLUDING FULL BREAKFAST (which guests rave about). Also listed are the blue, yellow and foliage rooms. AAA (three diamonds). Vermont Meals and Rooms Tax license # MRT-10126712. NOTE, we do not add a service charge or cleaning fee.
Our Blue room has a four poster queen sized bed and is decorated with both antiques and reproductions. It's coziness makes it usually selected by honeymooners. A rollaway can be added for a third person. We also provide robes for all guests.
We are a country inn in the country, 15 minutes from St. Albans, 35 from Burlington and just 90 minutes from Montreal. Views of mountains and valley.
  • The inn is gorgeous, and the breakfast is delicious! Jacquie and her husband were amazing hosts, and very welcoming and friendly. The room was beautiful, and the inn also has a hot tub (still open in winter!!) and comfy common rooms guests can relax in. We will definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Vermont!!

  • We had a very short but charming visit. Loved meeting Jacqui and her dogs, delicious breakfast, beautiful location very convenient for our local plans. Highly recommend!

    Nicole2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful experience! The location was beautiful and a perfect county setting but close enough to nearby towns. Jacquie and Brad offered wonderful hospitality but with enough privacy! The hot tub gazing the stars was a perfect ending! Ill be heading back this summer with the kids. And I was even able to take a trail and cross country ski for the first time. Go enjoy this perfect B&B you won’t be disappointed.

    Justine2019-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy warm place in Vermont! The farm is beautiful, Brad is lovely, gave us all the information we needed. The food served there is topical Vermont style and delicious!! We will defiantly come back!

Brand New "Tiny Home" very open, there is no loft so it doesn't really feel like a tiny home. Very comfortable to get around.
only 396 sq feet, but very open feel. one level so you don't have to worry about climbing up to get to a loft.
Close to Smugglers Notch, 2 miles up a dirt road so in the fall its a beautiful drive with the foliage. located on a property that already has an airbnb apartment, so if you need more room for people we can accommodate more if needed!

Walking distance to a park, pool, and library makes the space great for those visiting with kids. In the summer you are a short drive to Indian Brook Reservoir and great mountain bike riding at Saxon HIll. Close to Smuggs, Stowe, and Bolton Valley for skiing or Montreal for day trips. This is a great spot if you have events at the Champlain Valley Expo or The Inn at Essex! A short drive to UVM, SMC, and Champlain College. Large back yard is fully fenced in, plus front & back porch!
Primarily a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of privacy despite the suburban setting. 2 great ice cream spots within walking distance. Live music and food at Mad Taco. Summer food truck events. Movie theaters, grocery stores, and anything else you need is less than a mile down the road.--
  • Perfect place to stay, was beyond my expectations. David and family do a great job thanks we will use this place again.

    Jessica2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful apartment, great location and wonderful hosts. We had our dogs with us, so it was so helpful to have a huge fenced in yard for them to blow off some puppy steam.

    Brenda2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful host. The apartment was clean, had all the amenities needed, good coffee was a bonus, and close to Burlington and Mt. Mansfield. We greatly appreciated being able to have the dog with us for the weekend. As many places don’t allow pets. Would definitely return for a ski weekend! Thanks again for your accommodating and enjoyable space.

  • This was a very nice private place for a couple. It is attached to the main house but at no time did we hear anything. The space downstairs was comfortable. Only thing is the TV is upstairs in the bedroom. Everything was clean. I liked the skylights upstairs. The moon shone in at night and added a nice atmosphere. The porch is great! Screened in with chairs and a table. Perfect for drinking coffee in the morning. We brought our dog and the fully fenced in yard was a bonus. Chaos was cute and super friendly! The hosts kids were super friendly and curious of the new dog. This place was exactly what I was looking for for our weekend in Vermont! Definitely saving this one!

Named the Presidential suite in honor of the two Presidents born in Vermont (can you name them ?). The suite is decorated with antiques and memorabilia of those and other presidential candidates. A sliding door leading to a new private deck adjacent to the perennial garden and expansive lawn with a view of the pool area. Very convenient for our guests with pets.
We are a "country inn in the country" , so a vehicle is a must.
  • The place was great. Extremely friendly hosts, who made us feel very welcome. Went for a dip in the pool during the day, and it was clean, well kept and tons of fun. Will definitely visit again when we pass through the area next.

  • Great stay! Lovely!

    Julia2019-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first B&B experience and I have to say we are hooked. We felt right at home as if we were just staying over at a relative's house. There was a fantastic choice of snacks and beverages that we could pick from (very useful for the kids' late night cravings). The breakfast was very tasty and the kids enjoyed seeing the owners' dogs. The view was spectacular, we'll have to come back and see it during the summer! Thank you

  • Fantastic place with a great country setting

    Justin2019-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a great Air B&B experience, Jacquie's place is there place for you. The quiet location, beautiful views, the food and the hospitality can't be beat. The maple syrup served on the maple and oatmeal pancakes was made by Jacquie and her husband from their own trees. This full breakfast included juice made by them and a choice of meats to go with the pancakes. We enjoyed spending time visiting with the other guests in the large common space warmed by a fire in the gas fireplace. We had a wonderful time!
