I love last minute requests!

  • Alvin and Joe were amazing hosts. They are quick to respond and are very helpful. I had stayed at their apartment with my fiancée for 5 nights and thought the price range was excellent, especially for an apartment in such a busy location. The two bedroom had more than enough space for both of us. We will be staying here again!

  • Joseph (and Alvin)'s pace was a wonderful place. We (six of us) had a great travel at there. The house was completely well readied and perfectly maintained. We greatly appreciate Joseph and Alvin's efforts!

  • Joseph was the perfect host. He met us at the apartment which was just as described. He oriented us to the neighborhood and made us feel welcome. We only had one day in Chicago and wanted to spend it at the art museums. Since the apartment is only a couple of blocks from the train, it was easy to get downtown to the museums. On returning to the north side in the rain, we dashed to the nearby Public House restaurant for a beer and dinner. Altogether a delightful visit.

    James2016-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Joe apartment is in an excellent location. 2 blocks to the train(red line). It takes 30 minutes to get to downtown Chicago. It is also 5 minutes walk to lake beaches. Neighborhood is very safe, and tranquil. The apartment furnishings are very outdated. Furniture is all mismatch and uncomfortable. The Bathroom needs to be updated and shower water pressure is very weak and hot water is a challenge.

    Nestor2018-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Joseph's place is nice. We had some troubles checking in as we were unable to inform him when we would arrive. After a short time, everything worked out. The location did not have working Wifi, which was frustrating, however the location was very close to the lake and the public transit. The water pressure was low, and it took a while for the water to get hot. The sounds of the neighbors can be heard, however during the night the apartment is quiet. Overall, nice place, clean and cozy. The public transit runs 24hrs, and since this place is close to the station, it is very convenient to commute downtown.

  • This place was great overall would definitely stay again. Only issue with this place is a cold shower but that’s all

    Anthony2018-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Joseph is a nice and communicative and prompted to reply person. He did all he could do to make us happy. He's also open to suggestions. He kindly treated us to wine as he found out it was my birthday. His apartment looks nice and clean and you will have whatever you need. I highly recommend him to other guests. :)

    Navid2015-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We were greeted by a man who helped us get settled. We booked last minute, so the place was not cleaned, but it was in pretty good shape anyway. It is very close to the lake and there are restaurants and all types of shopping nearby. The off street parking is convenient and the apartment is modern and well done.

  • Gorgeous loft and extremely comfortable bed! Free parking spot was a plus for the parking prices in the city were quite pricey. Dasha and Owen replied promptly to my messages and offered suggestions of yummy restaurants in the area!

  • Susan's house was a great stay. Super comfy beds, close parking, close food, etc. 10/10 would stay there again!

    Lance2017-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's place was the perfect place to stay. Her place was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The full kitchen was good for breakfast, snacks, and any meals you might want to prepare. Her son filled in for her hosting, and gave great local travel tips, regarding the places that I wanted to visit. This was very much appreciated, since I wasn't familiar with the area.

    Jane2018-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Susan’s place is a true gem. It was beautifully decorated— elegant and comfortable. Super clean and in a great location. Susan is wonderfully charming and she went above and beyond to make our stay magical. Thank you!

  • Susan is a great host. She is friendly and very helpful. The house looks just like the pictures. It is an older home but updated and very clean. I will definitely stay there again.

    Debbie2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, this was my first Airbnb experience and I must say, I am SOLD. Susan's place is exactly what she purports it to be and more. It is simply charming. The neighborhood is safe and parking is plentiful and without issue. The accommodations are spacious and well-appointed throughout. My bed was a comfy cloud. We didn't want for a thing. Susan is very thoughtful (after a 10-hour drive riddled with torrential rain and standstill traffic we arrived to find cold beers in the fridge), courteous and respectful of her guests' privacy. If you like English gardens and sleepy kitty cats basking in the sun, you'll adore this place. Five glowing stars and five resounding thumbs up!

Enjoy the low season when our prices are lower than summer, often $40 to $60/night lower. An exceptional value to enjoy all that Chicago has to offer. A large and sunny 2 bedroom 2nd floor walk up. Features big windows, a front & back sitting room, a fully appointed kitchen with oven, stove, Keurig, coffee press, great treetop views, and only a 7 minute walk to the train. Edgewater is a great neighborhood with restaurants, bars, and stores nearby. Close to Andersonville and Rogers Park, too.
Each of the guest rooms sleeps two, is furnished with a queen bed, dresser, closet with hangers, and separate keyed entry. The spacious kitchen is equipped for cooking with full set of dishes, pots, pans, utensils, glasses, and cups.
Historic Edgewater Glen is a quiet, safe neighborhood. It has a walking score of 91 which makes it perfect for those who want to explore Chicago on foot or by train. Fantastic restaurants and other amenities (market, dry cleaner, bars, coffee shops, etc.) are all only a block or two away. Free on street parking is available for those coming by car and depending on the time of day is typically easy to find.
  • This apartment is great! The hosts were readily available when needed, and the location is perfect for anyone visiting Chicago: close to the airport and close to downtown, or to any of the routes to other suburbs. The apartment is aesthetically pleasing, and it's lovely to sit in the dining alcove in the morning and watch the neighborhood wake up. The beds are very comfortable! The only thing: the pictures posted here of the kitchen don't do it justice. The kitchen is large, and has all the major appliances needed to cook any meal, as well as ample counter space.

    Karen2015-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • The place was exactly as described and located in a nice and quiet area. It was nice to come back to the appartment after a day in downtown frenetic Chicago. Could have done with a warmer welcome at the place. This was our first experience with Airbnb and it was rather positive.

    Anne2016-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • It is beautiful apartment in a cozy quite area. There are 2 spacious living rooms and 2 nice bed rooms. We had a wonderful stay in this apartment!

    Kate2015-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Amy & Holly provided a spectacular home, it was immaculately clean, spacious- and I mean spacious, a fantastic location, in a brilliant neighborhood. If you get a chance to stay at this gorgeous place, you will believe you are in a 5 star hotel! This place is perfect! I HIGHLY recommend them! I had the best experience! The hosts are caring and make sure you are comfortable and know where everything is at! I hope to stay again.

    Percy2016-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time I stayed at Amy and Holly's place and I would go back for a third time without a second thought. The beds are extremely comfortable and the apartment is clean. The location is close to the red line and to Loyola.

    Rachel2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amy & Holly's place was amazing! Big, clean and a great location! We hope to return in the future!

    Christina2017-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was really spacious, clean and comfortable. My friend and I were out for most of the day but the apartment was a great, quiet place to come back for rest after busy days. Didn't see Amy & Holly while we were there but they were very thorough in giving us easy-to-follow check-in instructions and contact information if anything came up while we were there.

    Jennifer2017-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • We met Amy when we arrived. She had a list of information posted on the refrigerator for us to access wifi and other things. There were four of us and we had plenty of room to relax. W The place was very easy to get to whether walking, using a cab, a redline or uber. We had a little trouble figuring out the television as we don't use roku but got local television to watch the Cubs game Tues. night.

My place is close to the Blue Line, the highway, Downtown, Logan Square, Wicker Park, Humbolt Park, Lincoln Park, and Bucktown. You’ll love my place because of the central location, free parking, delicious local restaurants, and easy commute to anywhere in the city. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
Hello Travelers! Welcome to our brand new loft in the city. This is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom space with an attic loft. There is a double bed in the bedroom, three twin beds in the loft, and a futon in the common area that can sleep one. This is a second floor unit located on Western Ave., so there is noise from the street, especially with the windows open. But if you're looking for a city apartment that's minutes from it all, this is the one! There is free street parking on Western Ave. The Blue Line Western stop is just a few blocks south. This is the train that runs from O'hare Airport all the way downtown. If you're driving, Kennedy Expressway 94 is just 2 blocks north, off the Fullerton exit. There is a secure lock box with 2 sets of keys for easy check in. The apartment is brand new and comes with stainless steel appliances, a rainfall shower head, and a unique loft space. My husband and I designed and built this unit. We hope you enjoy this simple, cozy, no fuss place that's so close to it all!
The apartment is located right between Logan Square and Bucktown. Avondale, Wicker Park, Humbolt Park, and Lincoln Park are just a few blocks away! There is an awesome local grocery store called Fresh Market a couple blocks down Western Ave. There you can get fresh produce, local liquors, and they have an amazing cafeteria with the best affordable food.
  • The picture is exactly the same like the room. They offer all kinds of equipments. Good location! I definitely recommend this place to others.

    Vicky2018-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in Chicago and staying at Margaret’s place was part of it! The apartment is nicely decorated and maintained. We felt happy and comfortable. It is a short walk to the Blue Line station, along the way you will find a nice grocery store and an awesome ice cream shop, Margie’s candies.

    Ray Imelda2018-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is very clean and very cute. All the beds were very comfortable to sleep on. Only change I would make to the bedding is to get cotton bedding and not microfiber. The bathroom was clean and had a number of toiletries. The living room, which faces a very busy street, has only single-pane windows. The street noise was definitely noticeable during the day. The location, for people visiting Chicago, is a little suburban. It's almost a mile from the L. We spent a lot of time and money to get around. We did run into a few issues: - The review listed Washer/Dryer unit as an amenity but it was not set up to run. When we asked why it wasn't running, we were told that it would be up in April - our stay was from March31st - April2nd. - The keypad for the digital lock pad started acting up and kept unlocking after we had locked it. We had to call and they had to fix it. - There was no full length mirror downstairs which made getting ready a little more difficult. I am 5'1" and could only see up to my waist. There was one in the loft space that we found later, we just didn't bring it down. Overall, I would recommend staying here for a pretty comfortable stay. And Margaret was very responsive to us.

    Prianca2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Margaret's place is spotless clean, with great attention to details, in a safe well communicated area. Communication was very responsive, pleasant and smooth. The super-plus, is a fresh food shop (open 7-21) two blocks away with the most amazing selection of fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, wine, pasta and lot-lot more (incl. a salad bar)! Perfect if you get tired of eating out. Would most definitely choose it again! Thanks a lot for the wonderful hospitality :-)

    Tiziana2017-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable condo in a really great, walkable location!

    Holley2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. The location is the only thing I would knock about this place. It’s situated on a pretty noisy, busy road and the outside appearance isn’t great. Inside though it’s very cozy and gorgeous. Seems like they recently did an interior remodel and everything is very modern. There are also 3 twin beds upstairs so you could fit 5 people here comfortably.

    Devon2018-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • The appartment is very nicely decorated, looks exactly like the pictures. Was perfect for the 4 of us, altought the upstairs area is perceived a little small due to the slanted & not so heigh roof (but I’m quite tall). However great value for money, loved staying there and would stay there again.

    Marieke2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • My far one of my favorite places is very stayed with on Airbnb. The location is very close to so many bars and pizza places. There is a really neat Tarot Card reading place right across he street. Parking was easy. We parked right in front of the house and we’re able to watch our car from the window. Margaret’s space isn’t the largest but us 4 fit comfortably and had room for our luggage. There’s a really cool shower set up (probably my favorite thing about the property) that has a rain head and a high pressured hose and bathtub. The stairs were fun and spiral that led to bed galore! Such a charming place this is and I hope in my next trip back to Chicago that this house is still open to Airbnb!!! Thank you Margaret.

Right next to a very tasty Mexican restaurant, and right in front of a bus stop that will take you directly downtown. The hosts are very responsive (immediate response). Would stay here again.

    Elena2018-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great little space. Bed was really comfy, it was very clean, and was easy to come and go. Netflix didnt work that well because of the internet strength, which would be my only complaint, because it is acts as the "Cable TV" amenity. I'd recommend still.

Shabby-chic 2-room studio at the end of a quiet side street in Uptown/Sheridan Park. Come stay in one of Chicago's most up and coming neighborhoods and enjoy this vintage 3-floor walk up! Perfect for travelers on a budget. People from all walks of life are welcome in my home! Chicago Registration Number: R (Phone number hidden by Airbnb)
Uptown is a vibrant up and coming neighborhood in Chicago. Often seen as a diamond in the rough, it is rich in history and diversity. Broadway St. is where prohibition took hold and Al Capone spent a lot of his time at The Green Mill, a jazz club on the corner of Lawrence and Broadway where they still play jazz every night until 4am. There are several theaters in the area where concerts are held, and if you're a Shameless fan you'll notice there is a pancake house on Broadway that is used for the inside shots of Patsy's. The neighborhood is seeing a resurgence with a new $75million project to update the dilapidated Uptown Theater and the new Chicago Market that will be opening in the Gerber Building. Enjoy the architecture and flavor this neighborhood has to offer!
  • Bridget’s apartment is a cute space for two people and easily accessible to all lines of public transport to see Chicago. The bed was very comfortable and we felt much at home in her space. We were so happy with our decision to stay here! Bridget is a top-notch host as well! • Bridget was very kind and helpful, she answered any questions I had very quickly. The apartment is cute, and walking distance from lots of cool coffee shops and restaurants. The water pressure in the shower is not very good, but there was always hot water. Overall, a great place to stay!

  • Location was fantastic! Super close to the train. The space was stylish and well put together. I could reach the host at all times and very quickly. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again! Thanks Nala!

    Brianna2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • This cute little studio apartment made us feel one with the city of Chicago! We used to parking lot that Nala recommended- it was just a few blocks down the street. It was easy and convenient. Loved every second of our stay!

    Erika2018-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location!

    Joseph2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nala’s place was clean & simple & in an excellent neighborhood! The washer/dryer came in clutch for us. We had some late nights while we were in Chicago so the location above a bar was fine for us — I might not recommend if you’re there for serious R&R. Nala was a caring and communicative host, it was clear she wanted our trip to be absolutely perfect. And it was!

    Willie2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Was great staying here, unfortunately there was a storm so I had no WIFI but that wasn't a big deal. Everything was nice and clean and well decorated. There were some weird banging noises happening during the morning though but I couldn't point it out where it was coming from but it sounded like it was in the apartment- maybe it was a freak incident. But overall, I'd stay here again!

    Linh2018-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • This space is beautiful and very clean but as mentioned there is a lot of noise from the bar downstairs both from music and from people standing outside talking and the sound really carries. It's nice that it is so close to the train.

    Colleen2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing. The unit is extraordinarily clean with modern and stylish furniture. The bed is more comfortable than my bed at home. There is a bar below, but we barely heard anything, even without the provided noise canceling speaker. We parked about two blocks down and used the train/Uber for transportation, the red line is less than a 4 minute walk. The neighborhood wasn’t awful but wasn’t the best either, we opted for the Uber after midnight. Just be aware of your surroundings and you’ll be fine! 10/10 would stay here again and can’t wait for our next trip to Chicago!

    Kyle2018-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • With quick and easy access to the “L” train Nala’s flat brought the huge city of Chicago into arms reach, even for a public transportation rookie like me. The flat was clean and modern, the bed was amazingly soft. The building itself was quite, neighbors where all very polite. There is chatter and music from the bar downstairs but not at any level that kept us up. The white noise machine was a big help.

One of the most sought-after areas of the city, the Chicago neighborhood of Lakeview is the most populated area in the Midwest largely due to its great dining, shopping and nightlife. It is a very young neighborhood, with much of its population under 30, as housing is slightly cheaper than neighborhoods nearer to the Loop. But its four mile proximity to the Loop makes it a prime real estate destination. Lakeview It is also home to the Chicago Cubs' Wrigley Field, and a part of the neighborhood is named for it. The many bars and restaurants are always full, especially during baseball season when they feed and entertain thousands of fans. The Wrigleyville section of Lakeview is bounded by Halsted, Ashland, Roscoe and Byron. There are more than 600 retail stores on the east side alone and Diversey, Clark, Halsted and Broadway boast strong commercial development. Chicago's gay district is located in Lakeview East in an area known as "Boy's Town". The population is diverse and alternative lifestyles are celebrated and embraced.
  • Good facility and accommodation.

  • The place is located in a great area of Chicago. The elevated train is close. A great breakfast place,Ann Sather's, is right across the street. Secure building. The place looks just like pictures.

  • This was a fantastically located apartment. Close to some great stores, bars and restaurants. The apartment itself was fabulous too. Very clean, cosy and really homely. I would definitely recommend a stay here. Irena was very helpful and details on accessing the apartment were timely and very straight forward. Thank you Irena for making our trip so enjoyable.

    Peter2016-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay! The apartment was very cozy and peaceful. Irena was always quick to reply to my messages. We would definitely stay here again maybe in the summer!

    Elise2018-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Secure setting with coded building access. Was worth the money. Not really on the high end side of things but definitely a good value stay. No real issues to speak of. Close to eltrain/subway. Quick uber pick ups. Twenty minutes to anywhere Would stay again

    Matt2018-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location and nice loft

    James2018-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I went to Chicago for vacation. We stayed at Irena's condo for 5 nights. It was in a prime location. There is parking to purchase behind the condos and transit a few steps from the door. Although we could hear the train it was a faint sound. We slept great! The condo was comfortable. We were a 12 minute walk to Wrigley Field. Super convenient! Also Irena was very accommodating. She was gracious enough to let us check out a couple of hours later since our flight was in the evening. We will definitely stay at Irena's place again when we go back to Chicago!

    Sarah2016-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible stay! The apartment was so nice and clean and literally in the perfect location! This apartment really made our Chicago experience! Irena is amazing and was so hospitable!

LGBTQ friendly, Vintage living in Chicago's diverse Rogers Park neighborhood. One block to the Clark #22 CTA bus which runs 24/7 to downtown Chicago, a 10 minute walk to the CTA's Redline train at Morse, or about a 5 minute walk to the Metra commuter train @ Rogers Park that'll take you downtown in half the time compare to the CTA Redline.
The bedroom we offer on Airbnb is located in the rear of the apartment with an attached sunroom / Office that can be used as additional living space during your stay (really its two rooms for the price of one). The room displays some of my partners artwork that he's collected over the years.
Get to Know Rogers Park A sprawling community in the northernmost section of Chicago, Rogers Park is the only Chicago community with direct access to Lake Michigan. In fact, many of its buildings have been constructed right next to the beach and offer spectacular views. Rogers Park's borders are from Devon on the south; the town of Evanston on the north, Western on the west and Lake Michigan on the east. What to do in Rogers Park Residents enjoy a lifestyle similar to that of their Near North neighbors, but with less expensive housing. Lake Shore Drive, the Metra Train and the CTA's Red Line give excellent access to downtown and to Chicago's northern suburbs. With eight beautiful beaches in Rogers Park, Lake Michigan is always just a few blocks away. Its lakeside location offers many recreational activities, such as swimming, boating, fishing, walking and relaxing. Rogers Park also has many small parks along the lake, which is ideal for its many growing families. Neighbors to Edgewater and Andersonville, Rogers Park residents have excellent access to those eclectic shopping areas and family-oriented summer festivals. On its own, Rogers Park offers many wonderful shops and restaurants influenced by a wonderful diversity of cultures. The community also supports many art and coffee houses, especially along on Sheridan Road. Rogers Park's Distinctive Housing Rogers Park housing ranges from large Victorians and bungalows, to converted condos and multi-unit buildings. Housing is affordable, but noticeably on the rise. As there is a high-rise construction ban from Sheridan Road east to the lake, most buildings along the lake area are either low-rise or two- and three- flats. Overall, the community has grown with hundreds of new affordable units being developed each year.
  • My stay with jerry and Jeff was very nice altought just for a couple of days. The room (and the flat in general) was very very clean; the air conditioning was keeping it chilled; the house is easy to find and very close to the El station. The evening I arrived we went out for dinner and I was shown the city and this was much much appreciated and totally unexpected. Thank you guys! I would stay again in your place if I'd ever have to come back to Chicago!

    Davide2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Phenomenal. Both the apartment and Jeff and Jerry are amazing! There is a reason Jerry is a superhost. Jeff and Jerry go out of the way to make your feel comfortable and to provide the best experience. So many details from a super clean apartment, brochures, towels, snacks, and their suggestions make this a great stay! Jeff accommodated us and allowed us to check in last minute, without any issue. We were in awe with how wonderful the apartment was, and Jeff gave great suggestions that fit our interests. The apartment is located in Rogers Park, a cute neighborhood that deserves attention. Take time to explore Rogers Park, it has a lot to offer. The red line is also only a ten-minute walk away, and there is a lovely coffee shop on your way there. If you do go downtown and prefer ubering, we suggest Uber Pool which is just an $8.00 ride. My partner and I left this Airbnb truly happy and inspired to style my own home! Jeff and Jerry deserve the best! Thank you both!

    Jessica2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jerry and Jeff are great hosts. They provide a great blend of hospitality and privacy. The apartment is immaculately kept and the room is very comfortable. We felt very welcome in their home. It was a great base to venture out from. The neighbourhood is eclectic and lovely, and the apartment is a short walk to the lake, which was a bonus. Thanks Jerry!

    Catherine2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • My second time at Jeff and Jerry´s. It is the best place in all relevant categories. The two are the nicest people, the place is comfortable and cozy, the room is very cute and I love the area around Morse.

    Inga2016-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • I've used Airbnb quite a bit and this was one of my best stay so far. Jerry and Jeff were incredibly welcoming and made themselves super available for answering any of my questions and making suggestions. The apartment is beautiful and spotless. Jerry and Jeff have incredible taste. The room was comfortable and I really appreciated the small breakfast foods they provided. The neighborhood was great. Just a 10 minute walk to the red line which takes you straight downtown...also a block away from the 22 bus that goes up and down popular Clark Street. Just a great location overall. Some good Mexican restaurants within walking distance as well. Absolutely would recommend a stay here!

    George2015-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jerry's place was wonderful. It was comfortable, clean, and spacious. They were extremely welcoming and helpful on providing directions to the house, recommending places to visit, and making me feel at home. The house is a little far from downtown but it's close to the red line which will take you about 30 min to downtown area. The neighborhood was nice and I felt safe even walking around late at night. It's a perfect spot if you've visited Chicago and have seen the major attractions in the city and want to stay at a quieter part of the town relaxing.

    Elaine2015-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff and Jerry are the best hosts ever!! It's a very nice place to stay and I would definitely come back! Totaly recommend that place!

  • This is a fantastic Airbnb! My boyfriend and I decided to spend a weekend in Chicago for our 1 year anniversary and we were NOT disappointed (with both the city and the Airbnb). The place was spotless and very aesthetically pleasing. We felt very comfortable staying at her place. We definitely will be choosing her place again the next time we come back to Chicago!

  • This was the first time I'd been back to Chicago for a visit after moving to California in 2013. I was so happy to find a spot in my old neighborhood. Not only is Jonathan's place incredibly conveniently located, just a few blocks from the Blue Line, it's in a great safe little neighborhood. The apartment itself is wonderful. Comfortable bed, really cool decorations, and omg he's left out some snacks?!!? I loved my brief stay and can't wait for a chance to come back.

    Alexis2017-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for the holiday and the experience was awesome! The spot is really hip, near to a lot of cool places and restaurants. Jonathan makes the stay easy and comfortable. Would most definitely come back for our future Chicago stays!

    Chloe2015-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect spot! Mere blocks from the blue line and only steps from much great coffee and food. Directions, check-in/out process and the wealth of neighborhood info left for you in the apartment made everything as easy as possible, but hosts were very accessible for anything else (in our case, incredibly helpful parking passes). Hope to return!

    Justin2016-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Friendly host; clean apartment. A lot of suggestions for the neighborhood too.

    Eric2013-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great stay in Logan Square. Place was clean, spacious and everything we needed. Close to blue line and easy to get everywhere. Would stay again.

  • This is my second time staying at Jonathan's apartment and I loved it even more than last time. Everything is nice and clean and I feel so save with the big red door latched and the double locks on the inside door. There is everything you need including snacks, towels, sheets and lots of fun Knick Knacks to make the place homey. The new manager is very nice and helpful. I just wish there were more TV channels to choose from the selection is very limited.

The apartment is located on the edge of Logan Square and Avondale neighborhoods. Logan Square is known for its boozy nightlife, Michelin rated restaurants, walkability, easy access to public transit, and bicycle friendliness. A block away is the award winning Fat Rice, and its secret cocktail bar, The Ladies’ Room (hidden within their bakery), inspired by the gambling dens of Macau's red-light district. Down the street you will find one of the best wings at the Son of a Butcher, and best farm to table fare at Cellar Door Provisions. If you want a quick bite, head over for some traditional Ecuadorian food at Restaurant Ecuador across the apartment. Avondale was recently recognized as one the nation’s 10 hottest, need-to-visit neighborhoods by Lonely Planet. Jam, a brunch spot, and Parachute, a Michelin-starred restaurant, are new additions to this area. Kuma’s Corner is an old neighborhood gem, known for giant burgers on pretzel buns, and Honey Butter Fried Chicken is a must visit if you love fried chicken and brunch. Coffee spots in the area: Intelligentsia Coffee, Four Letter Word, Gaslight Coffee Roasters, Passion House, Arbor (cafe by day & restaurant by night, a hidden gem). The Milwaukee Avenue business district is filled with local small businesses such as Reno, Daisies, The Owl, The Whistler, and Hopewell Brewing Company to name a few. I highly recommend checking out the local eateries and bars. Logan Square Farmer’s Market occurs every Sunday during the summer months on Logan Square Boulevard, and it’s a 10-minute walk from the apartment. The 606 (a park on elevated former railroad tracks), Logan Square Boulevard, and Palmer Square are the three neighborhood parks to picnic in on a Sunday afternoon. 10-min Uber ride takes you to Lakeview, Boystown, Wrigley Field, Lincoln Park, Lincoln Park Zoo, and the Nature Museum.
  • Gorgeous bright apartment perfect for a long weekend! Loved my stay at Natalia’s place. Walkable to restaurants and nightlife in the heart of Logan Square, and only a few transit stops away from other main commercial areas. There’s a Divvy bikeshare station right by, which made for a great bike adventure through Chicago. The apartment was spacious, very clean, and well decorated with plants. Central AC was a plus too given the 90+ degree weather. Would definitely stay again!

  • Great location for the wedding events we attended. Short walk to the L. The place was clean, user friendly, and quiet. A great escape for us. We appreciated the umbrellas too! The only thing that would have made the stay 1 star better was the bed. It was too firm for us. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

    Maggie2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Natalia’s apartment is tastefully decorated and very welcoming, and she stocks it with thoughtful amenities such as coffee and extra toothbrushes and toothpaste. The neighborhood is charming and a short walk from Logan Square, with lots of restaurants and bars in between. And Natalia herself is an amazingly responsive, thoughtful host! Greatly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone and everyone.

  • I have not been to Chicago for work in long while. I decided to relearn the city by exploring its great neighborhoods. Natalia’s place is amazing. It perfectly located between a mix of restaurants, bars and the blue line. I would highly recommend you find a way to stay.

    Ron2018-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great decor, fantastic location! Natalia give us lots of great tips for food and was super fast in response. I have a lovely time and highly recommend staying!

    Ani2018-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Stay was true to what Natalia has on her place. Was a cute, 2nd level apartment in a nice area only minutes away in an uber from the City. Natalia has almost everything you would need for your stay if you were to lose your bag at the airport. (shampoo, conditioner, hand/dish soap, dishes and cookware, etc) I HOP and gym within a 2 min walking distance. We uber the whole trip which I am happy we did because parking was sort of first come first serve. Some days we came home and if we had a car, would have to park a few blocks away. Neighborhood is quiet and older but it gives it that Chicago flare. Natalia's communication was by far the best part of the trip and her brother in law waited for us until 2AM to give us the keys! amazing! You will love your stay with Natalia!

    Caitie2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Natalia was a great host. Although we didn't have direct contact, she always communicated quickly via email and my made my check in extremely accommodating. I would certainly recommend staying at her place. The area has a lot to offer and is convenient for Uber or public transportation

All are welcome at our place - we treat our guests like family.
Edgewater is a vibrant, diverse, friendly, safe, and residential neighborhood in Chicago. It has plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants, and it has a homey feel to it (neighbors actually say hello to one another!). We have lived in this part of the city for over six years, and we love it.
  • The place is great! This was my first time using Air bnb and Joshua was very easy to get ahold of. The area was safe and in a beautiful part of town. I would recommend this space!

    Avery2018-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place is close to downtown, 40-45 minutes using public transportation (Red Line) and bus. There are local coffee shops and affordable dinner places. College ambience, because of Loyola University is near by. Safe area. Room was cozy, comfortable and warm, clean bathrooms.

    Alexandra2017-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice space, Joshua was very responsive in helping us plan and on the day of arrival. Part of the reason for my trip was that the board of a non-profit I'm involved with was getting together. We were struggling to find a space and although we didn't end up hosting the meeting at Joshua's he was not only prepared to let us use the rental space, but to also use his dining room. Everything was clean and comfortable. If you're a light sleeper you may hear when anyone walks around upstairs, but didn't bother us. Was nice to be able to relax one night and watch a movie on the TV.

    Jonathan2018-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • I would definitely recommend Joshua's place to anyone ad everyone visiting Chicago. It was very comfortable, homey, clean and true to description. The kitchenette was very much appreciated. The bed is like your home away from home! (Just trust me on this). The neighborhood is quiet and clean with good street parking and reasonably close to downtown Chicago. I was not able to meet Joshua in person but his wife, Amanda, was there to answer any questions and concerns at any time of the day and was very accommodating to our needs. Also, if you love dogs, you'll fall in love with Sam :) Overall, 10/10.

    Patricia2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks to Joshua for making our first trip together to Chicago an easy one. He was able to communicate well with us, recommend and offer locations to visit and his puppy Harriet was wonderful. The place was warm when the outside was cold and the space had a lot of ammenities. The bottom floor was comfortable and well laid out.

    Kelly2018-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I have stayed in lots of Airbnb's in many cities and this is easily the best shared space we've experienced. The lower floor of the apartment is spacious, private, comfortable and well priced. Josh, the host, was pleasant and helpful, and very flexible when our travel plans we seriously altered at the last minute by bad weather. All in all, a wonderful place.

    David2018-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nice neighbourhood next to Loyola University. Great little restaurant across the street and grocery store on the next corner.

    David2018-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Joshua’s place was nice and spacious. He provided everything we needed and more. The bed was comfy and the entire floor was clean and organised. The bathroom had a lot of amenities for us and they were thoughtful about it all. Joshua was friendly and gave us the privacy we needed. The only thing that I found very annoying was the noise. If you are a light or even a medium heavy sleeper I suggest wearing earplugs and bare in mind that this apartment is not quiet at all. Multiple times we heard knocking on doors, steps and stomping coming from the neighbouring floor above us and yelling from outside the windows. All of this would happen extremely early in the morning around 5-7am and then around at 9:30-10:30pm. The walls in Josh’s apartment is thin as well. Overall a nice stay, just the noise which is obviously out of the host’s hands made the stay a bit unpleasant. Thanks for everything.

This apartment is in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. We are a mere one minute walk to the Red line train to downtown (15 minute ride). We are also within walking distance of Andersonville/Edgewater. We are the top floor of a three flat. The building itself is a little older but the apartment is spacious, private, and comfortable. There are four bedrooms. I (Steve) live in one. Sometimes the others are rented out (more often in the warm months), sometimes not.
This room is in a vintage building on the north side of Chicago. The apartment is huge (4br, two living rooms) and fairly quiet, being on the top floor. We’re super closer to the Red Line train, which runs all night, so you never have to worry about having trouble getting back to the place at night. The neighborhood is mostly Vietnamese, with great and relatively cheap food, plus nice shops. In my experience it’s one of the most unique neighborhoods in the city. Tons of character. We like to keep the environment laid back, so we hope you feel comfortable either hanging by yourself in your room or lounging in the common spaces. The apartment itself also has a lot of character, true to its vintageness. Personally, it’s my favorite of all the places I’ve lived. There are some compromises, as it is an older building. For example, I personally love the wood floors, but they’re also old and worn and sometimes attract dust. The water pressure is good enough for me, but it’s not the most powerful shower in the world. (UPDATE: We have a new higher-pressure shower head! Much better showering experience now.) But I do my best to keep the common spaces clean. Also of course the bedrooms are cleaned between guests and you'll always have fresh sheets. Basically, if you want a place that’s gleaming and new like a hotel room, this probably isn’t the best place for you. If you want to feel like you’re staying at your friends’ nice but not 100% perfect place, it might be! One other thing to be aware of: unfortunately we only have one shared bathroom. So if you need to be somewhere on time, please note that there’s a chance you might have to wait a few minutes for someone to finish showering or using the bathroom. If this is a significant downside to you then maybe consider booking a place that has a private bathroom. Most people who come visiting the city are really happy with this as a place to come back to after a day spent out exploring. The living room and the bedrooms are comfortable places to spend time in. It’s also good as a place to lay your head even if you’re just in town for a night or two—we get a lot of people who like to see live music in the area and appreciate this as a close option to come back to afterward. We really want people to feel comfortable using the common space, like the living room and the kitchen. I always encourage people to make themselves at home when they’re here.
Our neighborhood is very diverse, and has a significant Vietnamese and Southeast Asian population. There are amazing (and affordable) restaurants just outside the front door which you can walk to in under a minute. We’re only three blocks from the lake, so it’s a great place to stay in the warmer months (or the colder ones, if you like to visit the beach in the winter, like I do). Also we’re only a minute from the train—the Argyle stop of the red line train. We are super close to great bars and venues as well. The Riviera Theater, Aragon Ballroom and legendary Green Mill (once owned by Al Capone!) are all within blocks of our place. All the great bars/restaurants/cafes of Andersonville are a short walk away, like Hopleaf, which serves great crafty food and a rotating selection of fancy beers. Our neighborhood is generally safe—as far as I know, no one living in or visiting this apartment has ever had an issue. But for visitors unfamiliar with Chicago, we recommend using common sense in any neighborhood you visit or stay in.
  • Everything was wonderful!

    Anna2016-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • The location of apartment was good. It was half a block away from Red line CTA train station. The building was a bit rundown. However the apartment was adequate with basic amenities located on 3rd floor walkup. The room was clean with a window airconditioner and bed comfortable. We had the place to ourselves practically. Beth was very nice and welcoming. Its a perfect place if your looking for a place just to sleep with easy access to public transportation to explore the city.

    Edgar2016-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • It is perfect from all aspect and arrangements were appropriate as shown in the picture . Always available to feel you safe and comfortable. I would definitely go there again.

  • I didn't meet Peter, but Beth was a great host. She met me when I arrived and helped me find a parking spot. We stopped by the train stop and she help me select a pass as well. The Argyle train stop was less than a block away which is really nice for getting easily into downtown Chicago. The neighborhood has a nice variety of ethnic restaurants and food options.

Beautiful large vintage apartment right next to the lakefront and a short walk to take the red line "L" train straight into downtown. My name is Bobby and I'm a part time Second city actor. When I'm not at Second City, I'm working at my sushi restaurant. The apt is wonderful and you will have plenty of space to kick back and relax when not in the city. You will be sharing the apartment with myself (My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
There are 3 bedrooms in this apartment. I am Airbnb'n the other two. The apartment is huge with alot of space to make your own.
I believe this is one of the best neighborhoods in the city. If you are looking for a diverse selection of foods, restaurants, bars, along with enjoying the parks and waterfront there is no better place than uptown.
  • Bobby is a very responsive and kind host and his accomodation is spacious and very comfortable, especially the beds. Can recommend to anyone looking to spend a couple of days in Chicago sight-seeing.

    Sri2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Bobby's place is extremely spacious and in a great part of Chicago. Would definitely stay again.

  • Great stay, thanks Bobby!

  • An excellent choice for budget stay in Chicago - close to all the locations(less than 20 min by bus), quiet neighborhood, comfortable bed, A/C in the room, a nice host and.. less than 1.2 mile to the Argentine tango (Almagro Tango) studio :)

    Dmitry2017-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great location when in town for shows at the Aragon or Riv. Parking is difficult, but is also free street parking.

    Brett2017-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Bobby is very friendly guy and easy to communicate with. Location is great, close to downtown, many close restaurants. We were happy to find free parking but the only issue was that it's kind of impossible to find parking after 8 pm. Also the heater was controlling the entire building so we were not able to adjust the room temperature. Other than that every thing was great.

    Mohammed2017-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Bobby's home is charming and in a perfect location! Blocks from either the lake and beach to relax, or a red line stop if you want to travel to other areas of Chicago. We just returned from a 12 day stay with Bobby and my daughter has too many food allergies to eat out for every meal, so we required a kitchen. Bobby's was more than accommodating, giving us fridge space, all-access to his home and incredibly responsive to questions. There is even laundry facilities in the basement.

The apartment is located in the Ravenswood/Uptown neighborhood, which offers free parking, many unique shops/restaurants while still being within blocks of all public transport methods keeping you minutes from downtown and Wrigley field without the noise and congestion that downtown and Wrigleyville have.
A little bit about the building. It's a classic brick walk up style building that is over a hundred years old. Being over a hundred years old it is a one of a kind beautiful building. The apartment is on the Tthird floor. The building has a ton of character and a few quirks, which makes for a unique stay. If you are looking for a truly classic Chicago experience, that is far from your normal tourist trap location look no further. (The room is a little tight for 3 adults, its recommended for families with children) ---------------------------------- Your Private Bedroom Will Include ---------------------------------- *One Queen Bed and air mattress if needed (I do not recommend the room for 3 people if you plan on staying for more than a couple of days) *Work Desk and Chair *TV with a HDMI Cable, Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime *Desk Lamp *Nice Clean Sheets, and Towels *Iron board and Iron * Hair dryer * Dresser * Air Mattress if needed *A/C in the Warmer Months and a Space Heater for the cooler months * Extra linens located in the dresser. *The room can accommodate 3 people but it is a tight fit. I would not recommend booking my location with 3 guests for a stay longer than a few days. ----------------------------------- The SHARED Kitchen Will Include ----------------------------------- *Wine Bottle Openers *Wine Glasses *Nice Refrigerator with Ice / filtered Water Dispenser *knives, forks, spoons *Plates, Glasses, Pots, Pans *Blender, Microwave, Other Cooking Tools Such as a Rice Cooke(URL HIDDEN) and Wok *Oven that you may use to cook *There is Tea available, and Kettle *Distilled water in the refrigerator *Ability to use fridge refrigerator ----------------------------------------- The SHARED Living Room Will Include: ----------------------------------------- *New Couch under 6 months old *Dining table * 55 inch T.V with Cable and Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime *Board games *Printer (with a wired and wireless connection) ---------------------------------------------------- Your SHARED Washroom Will Include: ---------------------------------------------------- *Two Towels *Hair Dryer *Toilet paper included *Shampoo, Conditioner, Body wash, Hand soap -------------------------------- Included In Your Stay -------------------------------- *You may cook in the kitchen, and use all needed utensiles and tools. *If you like or store your items in the refrigerator *Free WiFi Internet (please do not download torrents) *Washer / Dryer (You will need to pay the machine to use it) --------------------------------------------------- Why Choose My Home? --------------------------------------------------- (COMMUNICATION) I respond promptly, in most cases under an hour (CONSISTENCY) We wont cancel your booking, I've been hosting for over three years now and have never canceled a reservation. (REVIEWS) I have over 75 great reviews and work hard to keep my guests happy (RESPECT) I respect you and want your stay to be great. It's important to communicate with me and I will always work with you to solve any issues or requests you may have. (SAVE BIG $$) Hotels in downtown area start at $250.00 each night and they wont be nearly as nice as my home. We're here to save you money. Free parking which unlike most parts of Chicago (parking in other parts of the city will cost you more than 25$ a day and you would not be able to move your car.) (Cats) I have 3 of the friendliest cats you will ever see. The all previous guests love them and they are very easy to keep out of your room.
The neighborhood is on the north-side of Chicago very close to Wrigley field. It is very safe, quiet, and friendly. Despite being a quiet neighborhood there is no lack of things to do and the closeness to transportation makes seeing the rest of the city a breeze. The neighborhood has a lot of amazing local specialty shops along with amazing restaurants everything from pizza, sushi, Hispanic, Asian, and even a great pub all within 2 blocks. There is a ton to see and do with in walking distance, but we are also right by a CTA hub that allows you to get to any part of the city in minutes. --2 blocks from the Brown line train- an easy el ride downtown to see all of the sites (30 min). --5 bus stops within 3 blocks that will take you downtown to the lake or to Wicker park -3.5 blocks from the Ravenswood Metra station that can take you into the suburbs, Milwaukee or downtown. --Great restaurants, bars, and parks within walking distance of the apartment. --Easy parking, non-permit --Lots of essentials right outside the apartment! Within a few blocks of our apartment you'll find: Starbucks, local coffee /bagel shop,a bakery, grocery stores, late night pizza place, great places for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and great bars.
  • Cameron was a very accommodating and friendly host and he made us feel at home as soon as we met him. He responded immediately to inquiries. Since he had a guest before us, he went out of his way to make sure all our schedules would work out so the room would be ready by the time we arrived. His home was clean, neat, and as described. I was actually surprised that the room was bigger that I thought it would be. My husband, myself and our small pooch were all very comfortable during our stay. His 3 cats are very friendly and would often visit us in the room for a quick snuggle. He recommended Glenn's diner and Molly's cupcakes which are part of our best experiences in Chicago. You may hear the sound of the train and the occasional neighbor at times but for it's location and price, Cameron's home is worth it. The neighborhood is amazing, with great restaurants and transportation all within walking distance. It was our first time to use airbnb and it was a great experience. We definitely recommend Cameron's home if you plan on visiting Chicago.

    Grace2016-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cameron was very helpful and kind. The neighborhood is great! Walkable, close to the El, and easy parking. Everything was as expected.

  • Cameron was very accommodating and easy to keep in touch with. The neighborhood is incredible and just a short walk to CTA. The place was as advertised, and we would definitely stay there again. Overall, an awesome experience.

    Tyler2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodations were excellent. Cameron made me feel comfortable as I was at home. His cats were extremely friendly and being a person who loves cats they would love to come in the room and snuggle with me whenever possible. The use of Netflix and Hulu was wonderful during my time in Chicago to keep me busy during off times. The location was within short distance from anything I needed or would like to do. I did not need to adjust my schedule around Cameron for preparing to go to work or any other excursions for hygiene as we was rarely there. However, if I needed anything he made it clear that I could contact him at any time. I was very impressed at the quality and value of this trip to Chicago when staying at Cameron's place.

  • Cameron is a great host. He was friendly and kind to give us a brief guide even though we got there late, right before he had to leave for his work. The room was very clean and cozy for a young couple to stay. One thing I liked was that the air conditioning worked great on a very hot day. Oh, and his cats are super cute. The house is located not far away from downtown, and his neighborhood is nice and safe for us to walk around at night. It was great staying at Cameron's! Thanks for having us, Cameron.

  • We liked staying at Armando's accommodation in Chicago. It was about 15 minute walk to the train which could get us where we needed to go. I wish there was more appliances provided in the kitchen. There was no toaster. Not many pots or pans to do cooking with. If you plan to use the kitchen, bring what you need. There was a nice grocery store nearby called Devon Market. Parking on street was easy to find. We had a comfortable stay and we were glad we booked. Armando was easy to get a hold of and attentive with hospitality.

    Erin2015-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The house is quite old but very spacious. The wood floor let you know when someone is up and moving around and there was paint peeling off walls. This house needs a little TLC. I had a hard time feeling totally comfortable because it wasn't very clean. The sink was clogged but Armando did come by and pour some draino down it. The parking at night was very bad but he did offer his garage for another $25 a night.

    Melanie2015-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I stayed at Armando's apartment for a reunion weekend. The neighborhood is a bit out of the way from downtown but has cute places and things to do within walking distance. I was pretty disappointed with the state of the house when I arrived - many things were not clean (I.e. Dirty dishes in dishwasher), a lot of furniture was either broken or wobbling, and I didn't feel that it was properly advertised. The space is large though, the patio outside was nice to sit in and the kitchen was very functional (although not a lot of kitchen supplies so bring your own). Overall, until the host checks the quality of this place and ensures that it is cleaned up, I would not recommend this listing based on the value (we paid over $300/night).

  • We were in need of a last minute place to stay and Armando responded right away and had the place ready for us! Good location and plenty of space for a great price!

    Kimberly2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Armando was very helpful and quick to reply. I booked the apartment last moment and he made it very easy. we were there for two nights and of course we spend all day in the city and went there to sleep, it worked out perfectly for us. Parking is hard to find after 6 pm what makes sense, but it is still possible. The house needs some mentaince as everyone says in reviews. Overall we had a great time.

    Rinata2016-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to access public transportation and the neighborhood felt safe. This unit is sandwiched between a lower level and upper level unit that are also airbnb's. When they are rented out, the noise level can get disturbing and depending on everyone's schedule, it can disturb sleep time. Overall, this was a decent place to stay for the price and if you communicate with Armando, he will do what he can to resolve any issues that may arise. He is very quick to respond.

A beautiful, clean, and safe space in Logan Square! We are located in the southwest corner of the neighborhood and that means that this home is perfect for folks who like to be in a quiet residential area, off the beaten path and away from the craziness that is this popular part of town. This private room has beautiful exposed brick and a large bay window that allows in lots of daylight. The room offers a cozy full sized bed!
Greetings from John and Sean! We are a ten minute walk to the Logan Square or California, Blue Line stops (coming from O'Hare airport is wildly easy) and in the cold months we are happy to come pick you up in our car! Just a block away are grocery stores, a coffee shop, a beautiful park, and award winning restaurants. We are a few blocks from both the Armitage and Fullerton buses. This home is hosted by two people (and two cats) who work from home each day so we are usually around to answer any questions and to help you navigate Chicago!
Logan Square is full of coffee shops, award winning restaurants, cocktail bars, and grocery stores. There are a few parks in the neighborhood; the Logan Monument park and also Palmer Square.

  • Great home in a lovely neighborhood outside of the busy city. A short walk from restaurants, breweries, shops, parks, the blue line, Divvy bike share stations. Nice room set aside from the other two bedrooms, easy and well described check in instructions, two sweet cats, awesome book selection, list of nearest/best recommendations for everything from coffee to breweries to parks. John was very welcoming.

  • John’s place was conveniently located and a comfortable environment. His cats were sweet and the room offered plenty of space.

  • John's place was perfect. I'd highly recommend anyone looking to have a home base to explore some of Chicago. my husband and I were just in town for a concert Saturday night, and this place was really close to concord hall and John gave us great directions even before we arrived. He was also really helpful, making sure we had what we needed as well as suggested places that we could check out in the neighborhood. Its unfortunate we didn't get to spend much time at his place, to get to fully appreciate what a cool place it is with everything we could need for a longer stay, including an awesome kitchen and dining area. Our bedroom itself was no frills but we didn't need much besides a bed and a heat source anyway, and the exposed brick was cool! We also found a parking spot right outside his place mostly out of luck, but it was free so that was great. Wish we'd gotten to play a bit more with the adorable huge kitties! But if you're someone who doesn't like cats, he kept them away to accommodate. Overall great short stay!

  • John and Sean were wonderfully accommodating. I wasn’t around to talk to them much, but my stay was lovely. The room was clean and easily accessible. It’s just a hop skip on the 74 bus to the Blue Line. The room was nice, quiet, and perfect for an overnight trip. 10/10 would stay with them again.

  • It was very nice to stay at Johns home. Everything was very nice and the bed was totally comfy. I can highly recommend to stay at Johns house. Thank you John!

Welcome to Chicago (the Windy City)! A cozy 1-bedroom apartment in Portage Park is great for both leisure and business travelers. It is conveniently located between O'hare airport and downtown (25 minutes each in Uber/taxi). Also the neighborhood is very safe and quiet, the bus stops are very near (5 minutes walk) and the near blue line stop is (10 minutes in bus)
It is an entire 1 bedroom apartment with a double bed and a small closet space, a living room with a sofa bed for another guest, a TV with Netflix and Roku to watch tv series, movies and the news, also a desk with chair if you need to read or work, while you are not enjoying the city. The kitchen is alongside the living room with all you need to make breakfast or cook your favorite dishes and a nice and neat bathroom. Also we have a laundry room with coin machines and other common spaces: corridor, balcony, and backyard. Wifi internet connection available.
The area is notable for its Six Corners outdoor shopping district, centered at the intersection of Irving Park Road, Cicero Avenue and the diagonal Milwaukee Avenue, the Portage Theater and for its namesake - Portage Park.
  • Great place. Recommend it to everyone.

  • Nice place, great price!

    Ying2018-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place to stay for the price. In a residential neighborhood, parking was easy, we parked right outside the building. If using Uber or Lyft only about 30 min from the loop depending on traffic. Check in was very easy. Freddy was easy to communicate with, friendly, and responded in a timely manner. The only negative thing is the unit above was noisy at times, nothing earplugs couldn't solve though.

    Meaghan2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was a nice locations. Kids upstairs are really noisy & it gets pretty cold at night, so use the space heater he gives you! But overall a great experience

    Allen2018-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Freddy was a great host! The place was clean and comfortable and in a quiet, neighborly part of Chicago. It was perfect for one night. If you're arriving by public transportation, the location is a little bit of a hike from the Blue line and may require some knowledge of bus routes if you don't plan on walking/Ubering.

  • Great place! Very spacious!

    Kim2018-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Nice safe neighborhood with ample parking and little neighborhood stores in walking distance. The apartment was basic and clean. Just what we needed for our short stay in Chicago. Communication was fast and efficient. Check in and check out was easy and effortless. Additional perks where WIFI and NETFLIX.

    Boris2018-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The location was fantastic! Right off the freeway but in a quiet neighborhood. Parking wasn't an issue at all and the communication was great. Easy check in and out. Perfect value and a great place to stay in Chicago!

  • We had a great stay and a great time exploring the neighborhood. It felt private and Aishwarya really provides a great hospitable experience.

    Morgan2017-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Convenient location, wonderfully decorated and very comfortable place with amenities. Didn't get to meet Aishwarya but she is super responsive on phone. Great experience overall

  • I did not get a chace to meet with Aishwarya since my trip was so short, but her appartement is really well located and full of little attentions. Bed is perfectly confortable and room is well decorated.

    Frederic2017-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Aishwarya was such a gracious host! She gave us restaurant/bar suggestions that were nearby. Lula's was great for breakfast and very close by! Free parking was just down the street, which was a plus. Her apartment was very home-y and both the bedroom and bathroom were equipped with all the comforts of home.

    Carleigh2017-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Aishwarya's apartment is comfortable, very clean, quiet and tastefully decorated. We had everything we needed including a super comfortable bed and coffee! • I agree with the reviews regarding the Bar. The aircon was my "noise canceler" The hospitality is 5 stars and its hassle free thanks to the self check in. The coffee machine is a plus and all amenities are brand new which is rare for Airbnb including great bedding and pillows. The neighborhood is a minus.

  • I stayed for just one night as business traveler and was very impressed by the beauty of this cute apartment. The check in is easy and convenient 24/7 via a lockbox outside. I found the apartment to be extremely clean, well designed, all furniture and amenities completely new. The interior design and decoration is very beautiful, probably the nicest I have seen so far using AirBnB. Raindance shower! Thank you so much for hosting me!

  • Nala's place is as good as a 5 star hotel (if not better) for a fraction of the price. Very pristine and clean, super stylish, easy check-in, and convenient locale. Just a few blocks away from the beach and an easy drive from the main attractions in the city. The bed is unbelievably comfortable and the shower is fantastic. Definitely willing to stay here again if ever I'm back in the windy city!

  • This place was beautiful. Very clean and stylish. Only downside was the neighborhood. It was kind of sketchy and I didn’t realize that until I got there. Besides that, place was wonderful!

  • We had a great stay! I highly recommend this spot.

    Kayla2018-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Nala's place is (Website hidden by Airbnb) made me want to re-do my apartment! The decor is very Scandinavian-Bohemian. The overall space is bigger than it seems in the pictures, and was a perfect place for my boyfriend and I to comfortably crash for a night on a layover in Chicago. Nala offered great suggestions for things to do in Uptown, and we had a wonderful experience. Having the el so close by was amazing and made everything in the city easy to access. And the air conditioner was a godsend since it was a hot summer night! I would absolutely stay here again!

Relaxing studio with tech amenities. My place is equipped with Smart tv(complimentary Netflix and hulu),Amazon Alexa , Controlled lighting (by voice) and Playstation 4 and other cool gadgets.Crash on a comfy(tuft and needle brand) bed when the day comes to a end.Located in Andersonville a place sprawling with events and arcade bars with Starbucks literally right next door to get your morning off to a fantastic start.Free street parking on my block (for about a mile).Plus your only a 10-15min Uber ride from lively downtown Chicago!!!
This place is great for single or couple guest that want to get the biggest bang for there buck and enjoy what Chicago has to offer.
  • Cameron has a very nice small appartment in Andersonville; a fun, vibrant neighbourhood with lots of shops and restaurants. It is also located at walking distance from the beach. The appartment is clean, has a kitchen with a coffeemaker which was very convenient. Cameron was very clear with his instructions and replied realy fast at any messages. The tv, ps4 and the Alexa were a realy fun extra. It is not the most luxurious appartment in the world but it definitely is a cosy, convenient one.

    M.T.2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Cameron was a really great host. He's super responsive and even had some super awesome ambient lights everywhere that can only make me wish I had them at home. Although I wasn't able to fully enjoy most of the amenities offered, I was only there for a brief stay for my girlfriend's graduation ceremony. The atmosphere does have a tendency to fall a bit more for the younger crowd in my honest opinion, but who doesn't love Star Wars (part of the decor) and DBZ? The ONLY small complaint I would've had is that the hot water for the shower tends to be a bit weak. But honestly, I did not mind it for the brief stay that I had. Would definitely highly recommend this awesome spot.

    Andrew2018-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in a fun neighborhood! We highly recommend it.

    Michael2018-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great Star Wars theme apt and detailed instructions! Although the place is not very large, the host made good use of it with awesome stickers, lights, paintings and a big TV with netflix hulu play station and so on. The host is very sweet and thoughtful. I love the swan made of towels!

My girlfriend and I were very comfortable and Cameron had provided everything we needed to be more than satisfied with our stay. Beautiful studio, 1 batroom apartment, fully furnished, perfect for 3 people, 2 blocks from the nearest train station. 15 minutes away from Chicago downtown by car and 30 by tain. 5 minutes walking distance to from the beach. Near to bike rental station. Conveniently locted in a safe and quiet neighborhood with plenty of stores nearby. Free street parking.
  • Great place for the price. Near Clark and Broadway St so there were more good restaurants than I had time. I couldn't turn down the radiators so it got a little stuffy, but otherwise a great stay.

  • Nice, inexpensive place to stay in the area. It was clean and comfortable.

    Jonathan2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The good: The place is clean, we had no trouble finding free street parking (arriving Friday evening), bed and sofa were quite comfortable, wifi worked well, the place is larger than it looks in the listing, and the owner was friendly when I called with a question. Towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner were provided, as well as a few kitchen items (silverware, glasses, plates, bowls, dish soap, paper towels, hand towel). There is an outdoor balcony which we did not use, but would be nice to sit on during warmer weather. The not-so-perfect: There was no microwave as shown in the picture. There was a "welcome" sign on the fridge charging guests for soda ($1), beer ($2), and water (50 cents), something I have never seen in an Airbnb. Also, no coffee or filters to use with the coffee maker. (Perhaps the host will upgrade these things based on feedback?) Overall, a decent, private place to stay when in the city.

This is a visitor dream! You will have an abundant amount of transportation to get you where you want to go at whatever hours of the day. Close to the beach and Culture galore. Restaurant, Beach, Shopping,...a train ride to downtown. Chicago living!
I live very simple with a touch of vintage. I want my guest to always feel at home.
The area is very multi-cultural but the neighborhood is primarily minorities. It's an up and coming area. There have been some bad histories in the area but as with any major cities. I've live in the neighborhood for almost 4 years and have not had any issues. If you are not comfortable with diversity it may not be a good fit for you. There are so much to do in the area. So many restaurants. The train to everywhere is in the same street as the condo. It's a high rate of individuals that struggles with a mix of professionals.
  • Barbara was an amazing host -- so friendly and accommodating. It was great chatting with her. Her place is comfortable and clean, and I felt so at home there. The room is spacious, the bed was comfy, and the location was great, with easy access to trains. I enjoyed my time there and would definitely go back.

  • Barbara is the perfect host. She is a very warm and comforting person who gives you a lot of space if you need it. She respects your own space - which is your room. At the same time, she is always ready to have a quick chat with you when you meet each other in the kitchen, which is really nice. She helped me out with many different things and I really enjoyed my stay. The apartment is very clean, the room is nicely furnished, Barbara is a great person. I like the diverse neighborhood as well, so I can totally recommend to stay at this place!

  • Barbara's place was very convenient to the redline train to cc Chicago, that was a big plus. She gave us a parking space so we didn't have to drive our car at all. Her place was just what we needed to maximize our budget. We were able to tour the city for two days on a limited budget and see everything. I love Chicago and definitely will return.

Apartment is simple but clean, with a Queen bed, couch, private bathroom and small kitchen in a studio format.
We are in a unique, quiet little residential nook that sits on the border between North Center and Lincoln Square -- two safe neighborhoods with young families, single people and elderly -- a whole range! We are a hefty walk or car-share ride away from the quaint but bustling and hip Lincoln Square shops, restaurants, bars, and more. We also have great restaurants that are just a couple of blocks away, a little off the beaten path.

  • Sarah’s place is adorable and spacious! We were there during a 95+ degree heat spell, so it was warm up there, but Sarah reached it to us ahead of time, and in the end, the window AC unit and fans made it cool enough to sleep comfortably at night. The bed itself was quite comfortable. Sarah responded quickly to all questions and communication and was an attentive host. I definitely recommend staying at her place, and I hope to stay there again in the future also!

    Peggy2018-06-20T00:00:00Z

  • I am so thankful that Sarah has opened up her home and upstairs apartment to AirBnB. I spent a week in the 3rd floor apartment, first timer in Chicago, and I felt right at home. I stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute. Sarah is a delightful owner who is very responsive and accommodating. I walked every evening from Lincoln Park; and used Uber in the mornings to get to my location. The apartment is clean, very quiet, and more spacious and cuter than the pictures. I was very happy with everything. The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools and dishes; and plenty of other household things to make your stay feel like your home. I hope to return in the fall for another week. This is definitely the Best Deal in Town! A+ Rating!

Fantastic classic Chicago space in an unbeatable location. New top of the line Alexander Select Signature Mattress from Nest Bedding! This mattress is better than anything any hotel could provide.
Located in a classic Lakeview building, this new redecorated studio is larger than most in the neighborhood and has space for a sleeping area and living area in the main space. There is a separate kitchen space to cook and enjoy meals in as well.
East Lakeview is one of the most special neighborhoods in Chicago. The studio is located at the center of both the world class Boystown and Wrigleyville entertainment districts. There are also 24/7 cafes, drug stores and quick food options right out the door.
  • James was very friendly and accommodating. His apartment is extremely easy to get to via public transportation from O'Hare, and it is quite well-situated. I'll definitely be staying there again on my next trip to Chicago.

    Jeffrey2012-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • James is a great host and provided a step by step guide on the location and how to get into the building. The studio is the perfect size leaving out no necessities. The place felt homey and had things a hotel room normally wouldn't provide. Great value & experience staying in Wrigleyville! 10/10 would stay again.

  • A great place to stay for checking out the city. Good price, no unnecessary frills, all the basics you need. Good: Check in was easy (key lockbox) great location for public transit and shops/restaurants essential items available for use (toiletries, paper towels) Host communicated well, checked in with us frequently Space heater for chilly nights Not great: Noise from hallway is significant when neighbors walk by (which was only a few times per night) Shower water took a few minutes to warm up Kitchen has basic cooking stuff, but somewhat disorganized

    Kyle2016-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • James was a great host. He was flexible about check in and out, left clean towels and sheets, and offered good suggestions of things to do. The location is great! Two blocks from the train and right on top of two major bus routes. The location can't be beat.

  • 10/10 would recommend! There will likely be someone staying in the other bedroom, but it was a non-issue for me. Super clean; someone came to clean every day I was there. Kitchen is yours to use, and there's a grocery right across the street. Bed is super comfy with fully loaded TV and air conditioning. With keys to the place, it's basically like having your own apartment. Great value!

  • We had a really pleasant stay at Umikah’s place. It’s very nice and clean; walking distance for supermarket, restaurants, close to main roads so it’s very convenient as well. 100% recommended

  • I highly suggest this place. It’s modern and everything you need is in one place. It wasn’t far from the downtown area.

    Ally2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was an ideal AirBnb experience. Umikah’s place was cute, clean, and spacious (5 of us fit comfortably). It was easy to come and go as we pleased. The amenities were wonderful —including a kitchen, laundry room, and Netflix/WiFi. The neighborhood felt safe and I was able to simply step outside the house and go for a nice morning run. Umikah was also incredibly friendly and responsive to our questions and requests. I would absolutely recommend her place to others and would stay here again.

  • This place is very cute and comfortable! It is centrally located between downtown Chicago and Great Lakes boot camp. This was my first time to Chicago to watch my daughter graduate from Navy boot camp and I high recommend this place to call home while visiting. Salcido’s

A lovely (and large) bedroom in a beautifully appointed home in the best area of Chicago. Close to the lake, transit, exciting nighlife....not to mention complete with an overly friendly cat named Angus and a rather outgoing host
If you choose to stay with us, you give to experience something that straddles the lines of a little too perfect, a little too quirky, a little too posh, and a little too Martha Stewart. The flat is in a creeky-old, yet very typical, Chicago building. It is on the 8 step elevated ground floor and is blessed with broad expanses of windows that face into a courtyard. Our home was once four separate apartments that have been stitched together. Each retains all of it's original character and is a mix of modern elements introduced into the vintage building. This bedroom is about 15' by 15' with a wall of windows and is what would be the formal 'dining room' for one of the flats. It comes complete with original built-ins and beautifully painted woodwork and walls. The room is entered by a pair of French doors that have had the glass obscured for privacy. It includes a full size (a bit smaller than a queen, ok for two normal sized people) four poster bed, great linens, and really lovely curtains. It is commonly home to one friendly young black cat, well groomed, who may or may not be present depending on the whims of the guest. The ambiance of the flat is something else entirely. The space is filled with beautifully painted serene rooms that are home to a well curated collection of French and American furniture from the 1940s to the 1970s. A rotating collection of modern 20th century fine art and pottery keeps the rooms fresh and interesting. One note about the furnishings; folks who are terribly allergic to wool or adverse to cow hides and taxidermy will find the interior stuffed with enough wool kilims, mohair upholstered things, and fuzzy animal hides to perhaps be uncomforatble. Host A self admitted gay fellow and is a white collar professional with perfect taste, a stellar sense of purpose, and a writing style / sense of humor that can only be described as unique and self assured. If you need cultural information or any product that is home related, he is the guy to turn to. Hosts B, and C are three more happy gay fellows, all in their early to late 20s and white collar professionals.
The location is stunning. Literally a two minute walk from the red (main) line train, a 10 to 15 minute stroll to the lakefront parks, so close to Wrigley field you can sometimes hear the roar of the crowd, and so close to the booming nightlife of the 'boystown' gay clubs and the sports bars up and down Clark....all of that is outside of the front door but the street is quiet. Within a minute of walking you can be at a nice coffee shop, and there are well over a hundred places to eat (and three grocery stores!) within a 15 block radius.
  • I arrived Friday afternoon and was let in by one of the house roommates. He adequately explained things but I was feeling a little uncomfortable but told myself you will be there very little so don't wort about it. The next morning I met the host David. He was very warm and welcoming, completely different than the roommate. I was going on an architectural boat tour and David had the foresight to give me sunscreen which I had neglected to bring. Such a life saver. He is very knowledgeable of Chicago and how to get around. The place is in a great location and very near the " L". Lots of places to eat etc... I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

  • I had a great stay. Very convenient location. Hope to stay again next time I'm in town.

    Will2015-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • David and his housemates provided a perfect Airbnb environment. I came into town for a medical school interview, and this was the perfect location. It was quiet enough to enjoy a stress-free night before the interview, yet conveniently located very close to many entertainment spots to celebrate post interview. I would definitely and easily recommend staying at this listing to any of my friends, and am planning to stay here for any future trips to Chicago.

    Amanda2015-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place is beautiful. I loved the interior and what went into it. Highly recommend for any future guests!

    Donald2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Before my arrival, David actually asked if there was anything I needed for my stay. I have been a guest at his home before.....and he has always made me feel truly welcomed. His home is interesting, filled with interesting people and very well located. Great restaurants, and only steps from the Red Line. I have found my fellow travelers that join me to be engaging and convivial, as are the fellow housemates. David's discerning eye and his aesthetics make the home truly beautiful....and I place in which I can feel at home. David is top notch. I actually only book my time in Chicago based on his availability. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

    Susan2015-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. What a great host and apartment room. We felt very comfortable staying in David's house... The place is very close to Addison station and Wrigley Field stadium. Around are many places for food and drinks... It was a great stay... Highly recommended.

    Manuel2015-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great week-long visit to Chicago staying in David's apartment. The amenities were exactly as David described. It's very close to the L and in a quiet part of the neighborhood.

    Michael2013-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a wonderful stay at David's mini-mansion! As all the other reviews have professed, yes, the decor is absolutely drop dead gorgeous with taste, personality, swagger and oomph--definitely outdoing any boutique hotel out there. There is quite an art collection and plenty of coffee table books to indulge in while sipping tea on the velvety arm chairs. You can tell that every detail in the home is an accumulation of love for aesthetics. The kitchen is professional grade (my favorite was the tea kettle). David goes out of his way for guests and is also a master of entertaining guests and even invited us to a friendly gathering he hosted for Valentine's Day. We felt very much at home and are sure that you will enjoy this destination if you book it during your Chicago stay!
