I spent a very pleasant three months at Paaj Annex. The pictures are accurate, and I found the apartment to be as I imagined. It is spacious and clean, and I had everything I needed during my stay. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Right around the corner, you'll find everything you need to cover basic needs. There are plenty of transportation options nearby (auto rickshaws, buses and train). The ferry to Fort Kochi is only a 20 minute walk from the apartment. Aadi responded to all of my questions very quickly. He made sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. His mother, Parvathy, was the person on site. She was very friendly, thoughtful and hospitable. You will be in good hands while your are here.

This unit was as expected. Small, cozy but big enough to spread out. Clean, throughout. Great location. Close to everything. Walk or cab. Good, food at good prices within a one block walk. Good hosts. Made sure we were welcomed. Highly recommended!

Was received by Aadi's mom at the Apartment around 11 pm. The car driver got lost, but Aadi's mom helped out over the phone. The Apartment itself is entirely netted, so no mosquitoes inside. It is on a clean and very non-commerical street, set amongst other MIG houses/apartments with regular families: feels good and safe to stay here. The commercial area is one street away on a main road, with bus stands, autorickshaws, shops etc all located on this main road. A supermarket, several small shops, pharmacist (medical store), ATM etc within 100 metres of the Apartment. There is also a dry-cleaner, several more ATMs and banks, a traditional Kerala restaurant called Kettu Vallam, salons etc within 500 metres or so. The main commercial centre is Kadavanthara Junction, about 1.5 km away- you'll find almost anything here! Don't forget to buy half-cooked packaged chapati (flat Indian unleavened wheat bread) from Chappathi point (100 metres away), made fresh onsite throughput the day. No preservatives. Cook on a hot pan, tossing once- no oil required. You can have fully fluffed up, soft and delicious chapatis in a minute! Probably the best in South India!!! Aadi's mom is always available on the phone, and helpful. Overall, a safe and convenient location in Kochi, and good value for money. Will be coming back!

I was in Kochi for work and was looking for a place to stay. I was looking for a place that was close to my office in Panampilly Nagar. So I shortlisted Adi's place. The positives Proximity. This place is close to every place. MG Road was 15 minutes walking. So if you want to indulge in shopping, that is just 15 minutes away. From malls to saree showrooms to artifacts to boat jetty to marine drive. Kadavanthra was 15 minutes walking. There tiny food joints around. Restaurants. Offices. A beautiful stretch of road to walk on. Panampilly Nagar is 5 minutes by Rikshaw If you want the best of restaurant in Kochi and experience fine dining, you could just take a rikshaw and experience the best restaurants in Kochi. Railway station: Five minutes by Rikshaw Bus stop: ten minutes walk. Highway: (via kadavanthra) It took me 20 minutes to reach vytilla junction from where you can get travel buses. Reminds me, there is Another interstate bus stop near Adi's place where you can get buses to Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai etc. Airport is about 30 + kms and takes around 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes (with traffic) The ambiance. The place is located in a residential area and is very quite despite being close to the every place you possibly would want to go to. (Woke up to the sounds of sparrows and birds chirping) It has a brilliant car parking space with a gate. The house is perfectly protected by mosquito nets so that is a blessing. The house is like a studio apartment. With two comfortable beds, a couch, a dining table with 6 chairs or was that 5. But hell yeah. And you have two wardrobes and a dressing table. Towels, shampoo, soap. A kitchen with fridge, gas stove, induction, cutleries. Pan. Utensils. Cups. Glass. Water filter. Damn. I could live here, if I was a bachelor. :) Now. The most important things. Clean bathroom/ toilet. Clean house. Wifi. Landline. Air conditioner. Wifi. Wifi. Wifi. Wifi. Wifi. Easy on the pocket. Yes. Adi and his family. They are some of the best people you will come across. Very polite, brilliant smiles, very warm and welcoming yet they talk to the point. Very helpful. Adi's parents, Mr and Mrs Iyer are one of the most friendly people I have met in Kochi. And while you interact with adi on the phone itself, you will understand how do portable the stay is going to be. The negatives. I won't call them negatives but rather goof ups from my end. I couldn't find the shampoo and soap because I didn't realise they were in the shelf. So maybe it should have been placed outside. Always. Always. Talk to the hosts and come to the place. Rather than trying to find the place on your own. Life is easier that way. So once again, Adi thank you for the amazing experience. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Iyer for being...

We stayed two days here and it was truely the best homestay we could hope for. Aadi's mom was very welcoming and helped us with all our queries. Definitely would suggest this place for anyone looking for a good place to stay with the comfort of home.

Attention to details, right from getting directions to every amenity provided, exceeded our expectations. Balu and his parents are the perfect host. It's secluded, private and lavishly spread out. Although 25kms away from the main Cochin hotspots, an uber or local transport is easily accessible. The property alone deserves a mention, look no further if your considering a stay in Cochin or Ernakulam. Special thanks to Balu's parents who were the perfect host and offered the required privacy and at the same time were very helpful and very humble.

The hosts made us feel very welcome by arranging pick up locations with our driver in the local language. They also made us a delicious breakfast and showed us around the house and garden estate. The online listing was very accurate and matched the beauty of the house perfectly. Apart from the slightly difficult to reach locality, the surroundings of the house were very pleasant and complemented our stay well.

I was travelling with my parents and 2 year old Daughter. We stayed at Balus Place for 2 nights, this is one of the best villas I have ever come across. the bungalow is nestled between an plantation. The stay was very comfortable and the place was super clean. The host Balu was very helpful right from the time of booking. we had a great stay and absolutely loved this place. Hope to be Back soon.

HI , WE WERE A COUPLE WITH PARENTS VISITING KERELA. we were fortunate to have a stay @ balu james house. we were the first AIR BNB guest to their place. he was perfect and continuely in touch with maps and direction and food preparation help we need , with all positive results. the home was a dream home perfectly designed , very very spacious . away from city crowd in pleasent village atmosphere within reach to city by car in 2 to 5 min . blessed with coconut, banana, tomato plantation balu's parents were really helpfull in all ways from start to end of our stay, they helped us arrage a special vegeterian kerela dinner , breakfast and banana leaf lunch. Really seems like our own parents, MOM could talk in malyalam AND papa onveyed us her feelings and help in english. our city tour by city cab ner them was arranged with a eversmiling driver and ready to show complete city attitude. ola costed rs. 270 from ernakulam north station to balu james house . easy to find with all the videos and directions given to us . the house was modern, wifi was perfect , the tv room was great , bed room was cozy and spacious with new aircons, needs more indian hindi channels. the breakfast was tasty . kitchen was pefect and complete . over all a perfect place to stay from city crowd.

We stayed at 'The Heaven' for 3 nights and it was everything we hoped it would be. We booked the entire place and it is probably one of the best villas I have ever stayed at. It has a beautiful garden with many varieties of vegetables and we had lunch in huge banana leaves from the garden. The stay was very comfortable and home-like. The skylight in the living room made the villa look beautiful and its been our favourite part of the house. The hosts stay in Singapore and this huge estate is handled by their parents alone, and its needless to say that they are doing a wonderful job. The villa is located close to the highway and also near many backwaters. All in all, it was a wonderful experience to have stayed here!!!

Really loved the place, the location is lovely, its quiet and far from the hustle bustle of city traffic. The best place for spending with friends and family. The house looks exactly how it is in the pictures. The owner has been accessible before and throughout the trip. Directions given were very precise and the hosts were really helpfull and polite. We will surely be looking forward to come back.

A wonderful welcome by the whole of the family! Perfect location for airport transfers. I slept so well and enjoyed an absolutely tranquil arrival in kerala before exploring the city. Sneha's place is a must stay! It was located in a beautiful and quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I went walking in the morning and it was beautiful to walk among the trees with few cars. Sneha and her family are very welcoming and friendly people. The room is absolutely beautiful, very spacious and the bed is so huge and comfy! hot water is readily available and it is a quiet place to sleep. I am very grateful to have stayed here. I was lucky to eat an Indian breakfast which was delicious also! Definitely stay here, it is definitely worth it!

Short and sweet stay! Extremely homely environment with plentiful of flight attendant and backpacking stories along with delicious dinner. Sneha was also prompt in conveying the directions to her place well in advance, saving me the embarrassment I usually experience in a new town with an unknown tongue twisting language. Looking forward to meeting her and her family again.

A good, clean and cheap place to stay in Aluva, a bit away from the town. The host, Sneha, is a very friendly person and greets you with a warm smile. I would recommend the place to anyone.

Sneha was so kind to us despite our very late check in due to train delays. We highly recommend staying in her beautiful home. The room was exactly as described.

Awkward homestay, shower drainage not good and ants everywhere in bathroom, in morning dead cockroach was in the bath with a million ants surrounding the bath making it impossible to shower before an early flight in the morning , host was not helpful after I pointed this out and he just pointed at the bucket and sink showing me that I can clean myself this way, did not feel comfortable in the house and was defiantly not a posh home stay ,

We really enjoyed our stay at the 'Suraj' house. Vasantha and her husband Mohan Kumar were very welcoming and hospitable to us. Vasantha's South Indian cooking was memorable for its' deliciousness! The area is relatively quite and the beautiful and mighty Periyar River flows calmly by about 2 blocks away. We look forward to coming again one day.

The location is perfect away from all the busy cochin city traffic. Tessy will give you directions. The bank adress in (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps takes you right to the house.You get the entire upper floor to yourself with seperate enterance. 6 beds fully furnished with kitchen. Ideal family stay for 6 people. Tessy and her family were great hosts. They even made us breakfasts in spite of our late notice in the middle of their sunday engagements. Will definetely stay here next time I am in the city
