  • This place was amazing for a family get away! The large windows facing the Bay were breath taking. The bedding and towels were so plush and comfy! An outdoor table would have been great, but overall, everything was provided to make this a great trip!

  • Great place to stay! Elizabeth & Denise were very helpful and quick to return phone calls / emails. The setting is gorgeous and the house house and cabin were clean and comfortable!

    Dana2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • We needed a place to stay while working the area around our deer camp. Elizabeth's place fit the bill perfectly - clean, quiet and had all the amenities we needed.

    Kevin2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning surroundings. The hosts are warm and thoughtful with all of their touches they provide for you. They left us maps and suggestions for great nature spots and fishing holes to explore. The home was clean, warm, and inviting; exactly what we were looking for to unplug and slowdown for our anniversary with our hound dog. The views were stunning...breathtaking really. From morning to night, we were never disappointed. The sunrises over the cornfield and deer lazily walking through to the sunsets and blazing stars illuminating the milky way at night. You just don’t get to see that surrounded by the city. And the river. We would walk in the river with our dog as she chased crawfish and we watched bald eagles, ravens, deer wade, and snapping turtles. If you need dinner, just go into town for Gram’s pasties. Big win there! Honestly, if you need some real R and R, open your window, throw out your Alexa with its sleep sounds and come here. It’s worth every moment.

  • Kay’s place is the perfect place if one is looking for a quiet place to watch the world go by (or the river flow by). She is thoughtful in making her space welcoming for whatever brings me to town and even leaves a treat for my dog. It truly feels like home

  • A wonderful house with an amazing view of the river. The house is stocked with everything you need. We kayaked and fished. Would definitely recommend this place!!

    Corrie2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Kay's house is a great place to stay! We spent a long holiday weekend here and really enjoyed all the space in the house as well as the outdoor space up to the river. If you're looking for a nice, relaxing weekend up north, this is a great choice.

    Scott2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a delightful summer week at Kay’s gorgeous house on the Menominee River. I can’t think of one amenity we wish was available. The comfy three bedroom home offered plenty of space for us and our two teenage grandkids — allowing room for family activities and private time. The river setting is stunning and the house is filled with whimsical touches. As nature lovers, we were thrilled to see bald eagles, osprey, great blue heron and lots of hummingbirds, along with an assortment of toads and frogs, as well as black and gray squirrels. I can think of no better review than the kids asking if we can come back next year!

    Mark2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Kay’s has s an amazing host. Always a quick response. Her place is beautiful and welcoming. She is thoughtful and has everything you need for a great vacation by the lake. My family loved access to the kayaks and inner tubes. Fishing was a big hit with the guys by using the row boat or on the pier. We loved late afternoon and evening sitting by the fire. Kay’s beds are comfortable and inviting. We never had a problem with the temperature. Plenty of space to cook. We had a great time playing games from the game room. Thank you, Kay!

    Wendy2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place, and fun to be right on the water!

    Mitchell2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • We found Kay’s home for a couples’ getaway and knew we couldn’t have found a better place to stay, from the moment we walked in to see food laid out for us and a beautiful view of the river, accessible from the backyard. Kay’s home was so lovely and welcoming. She had two kayaks in perfect condition available for us to use and helped us arrange a ride up the river. She also had tubes available, giving us a lovely week on the river. The grill and fire pits gave us more options for spending time outdoors. As for the indoors, Kay’s home is fun and eclectic. We were very comfortable, with nice bedrooms and bathrooms and plenty of amenities in the kitchen that helped us cook great meals, even farm fresh eggs from Kay’s neighbor. We explored some places further away but also found lots to do nearby. Kay communicated regularly with us with information about the house, suggestions for our trip and answers to our questions. We felt at home and very relaxed here and definitely would stay again.

  • We had a great time at the cabin! There is a fire pit and grill available. We did shoreline fishing while we were there. Lori provided a handful of outdoor activities such as bean bag toss and horse shoes. The cabin is clean. I appreciated the hot showers after a long day! There were directions to get to nearby towns. Speaking as a mother of two, it was an enjoyable place for a family getaway!

My place is close to Escanaba Michigan, restaurants, dining, and the beach. You’ll love my place because of the views, wonderful river frontage and peaceful atmosphere. Couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids) are welcomed year round!
This property is the best of both worlds. Located in synergy of deep woods and the picturesque Cedar River, that flows in to Lake Michigan and all it has to offer, From newly built marina, lake front restaurants to a 20 minute boat ride to Door County. Dock your fishing boat, jet-ski or watercraft right on this property, and enjoy the river or the lake waters! Boat landing is less than half mile away down the river. Land your canoe, kayak or raft right from the shore of this property. Campfire on the rivers shore or the fire pit in the back yard woods . If you like to pitch a tent chose from two tranquil streams that run through the yard. Fishing is big here, both in the river ( stocked with trout ) and in the bay, where walleye, smallmouth bass, perch, nothern, salmon and brown trout are plentiful. Cedar River State Park is 6 mile down the road. It has groomed cross country ski, 4-wheel and snowmobile trails. Dogs are welcome, however we would like to keep this place as new and fresh as  it is now, so we kindly ask you to secure your dogs in a crate while you are  not there and at night. For your convenience we have 2 large dog crates stored in  garage, feel free to use it. We take pride in providing you with unique and  quality accommodation, and have many people returning here because of this fact. Besides all the outdoor activities right on the property such as great fishing , Kayaks I provide , hiking, biking ( bikes in garage )and swimming... There is Wells state park a couple miles away also several sandy beach parks on lake Michigan all a short drive. An abundance of fantastic super clubs ( up nort dining restaurants ) just about every direction you drive. Fine dining and adorable. Two small harbor towns Menomonee and Escanoba with artsy , outdoorsy , and small town shops. Both towns have a lake front beach walks. I definitely suggest a day trip to Munising mi. . White water rafting about 50 minutes drive. Locally you could sign up for guided canoe trips on the Escanoba river. Golf , winery and believe it or not an awesome zoo.
The Home is set on 6+ acres . Most of the homes on the river are 5 to 20 acre each . That being said you should have all the privacy you need .
  • Had a great stay at Tyler’s place. Kitchen had everything we needed besides the food of course. Being across the street from the river gave us great access for swimming and boating. Highly recommend!

    Justin2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Nice setup for 4-6 people. Cedar River steps from the door, Wells State Park and Fox Park nearby offer plenty of opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. Continue north to explore Escanaba and Fayette Historic Townsite.

  • We have been vacationing in the Ceder River, MI area for 40 years, but had always stayed along the bay.....we thoroughly enjoyed Tylers cottage on the Cedar River....so quiet & view of river directly across the road with a bench & dock where we sat each day even if only 10 minutes. We saw River otters, Wood ducks, Kingfishers, & Bass. The neighbors are friendly & the cottage fit us very well.

    Laura2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location. Just the right touches. Our families experience was outstanding. Brought the family dog and used one of the crates available from the garage. Fished the river every morning and evening. There is such a peaceful tranquility that sets in as you spend time at the river. We hauled in huge bass after huge bass. Bring you nightcrawlers, minnows, frog lures, perch lures, and extra tackle. Used the kayaks on the river. Met the neighbors who offered great fishing advice and tons of free firewood. The property had plenty of yard for any outside activities. We plan to make this our regular stop.

    Mike2019-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a few days to have a quiet getaway, and that's exactly what we got. Everything was clean and organized, with plenty of cookware and other basics. It's a quick drive to Escanaba for anything else you might need. Wells State Park was very close and was really nice for a short hike along the lake shore. Overall, we had an excellent stay.

  • Brian’s place is so perfect for winter getaway! It’s close to stores and gas stations but yet far enough that no one bothered you and we hardly saw vehicles. We were a large group visiting for some snow sports and unfortunately the weather and some small factors did not allow us to. However the stay was so beautiful and with a full kitchen allowed us to make the best of the time. One of my favorite things was the fully stocked kitchen! Brian was very responsive prior to the trip with recommended activities. We’d love to go back to maybe try the atv trails next.

    Kat2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • My wife, kids, dog and I stayed at Brians place as we were out in wausaukee with a surprise visit to my grandparents house. The cabin was amazing and was such a wonderful retreat. The house was very spacious, comfortable, clean and fully stocked with dishes, cookware, condiments as well as well stocked with sheets, towels and toiletries. All of the beds were extremely comfortable as well. Brian was a very communicative host from the start. We will definitely be staying at Brians place whenever we go to Wausaukee to visit my grandparents.

When we are not using it we are happy to share it with you! We have some outdoor games such as horseshoes and washer toss for you all to use. There is a nice size fire pit out front and for the rainy days we have a nice size rec room with a pool table, dart boards, poker table, arcade game and 70" TV. Linens not included.
Beginning 7-27-17 the upstairs bedroom that sleeps 5 will have air conditioning!! Also included is a propane grill for you to use. Another nice feature for the ATV riders is that you do not need to trailer your ATV's anywhere, you can ride right from our property! Pets are welcome as long as you clean up after them. Thank you!
    It is very peaceful!

If you are looking for a fun, relaxing time, head to the North Woods of Wisconsin! This clean, well-equipped log cabin retreat is set in 40 acres of towering pines and has everything you need to enjoy a true "Up North" vacation. Rivers, lakes and trails await your adventure.
Listen to the birds and watch the wildlife. Take a walk in the forest or on the many walking paths that meander through the property and encounter all kinds of animal life. Sit by the fire pit at night and gaze at the twinkling stars. Feast on the wild blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and hazelnuts that pepper the property. From the moment you wake until you fall asleep at night, you’ll want to spend every minute outside enjoying all that this wonderful property has to offer. No matter what your interests are, if you love the outdoors, there’s something for everyone here! You can hike throughout the property or on one of the many county hiking trails. You can drive your ATV, UTV or snowmobile right out the driveway for access to the trails. If you like waterfalls, Dave’s Falls is a short drive away and Marinette County is the waterfall capital of Wisconsin. If you are adventurous, you can find white water rafting, zip lining, kayaking, hunting, and skiing close by. There are plenty of swimming holes in the area as well as lakes and rivers for fishing…and if you don’t feel like cooking in the cabin there are plenty of supper clubs, café’s, bars, and restaurants available for meals and entertainment. There are also grocery and convenience stores a few miles away in case you need to get something. Hunters can take advantage of the excellent deer and grouse hunting in the area. If you’re looking for something else, bird watching, wildlife foraging, and mushroom hunting are also fantastic pastimes. The gorgeous main log cabin has 2 beautiful bedrooms (master with a king-sized bed and guest room with a queen and twin bed), 1 bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, great room with fireplace, TV and DVD player, a large dining area, and sleeps at least 5. The bunk house is charming and has 1 bedroom with a queen-sized and a double bed, a living room with a pull-out couch, a kitchenette, and sleeps at least 5. There is also an outhouse near the bunkhouse. The screen house is nestled in the woods just off the back patio and has its own deck for private sun bathing or simply finding a little extra retreat. It’s a great place to set up your buffet or simply to relax playing cards or board games. It’s also a great place for those that want to try sleeping outdoors. Prepare to fall in love with the secluded and beautiful atmosphere, created by the towering pines and up North experience. No internet or cable at this time. Cellular service is typically great!!!

  • Sue & Dick’s place was incredible! My family and I had all the space we could have ever asked for and the pup had a huge plot of land to explore. We brought our kayaks and had a great time paddling through the lake under the bald eagles by day and having bonfires under the Milky Way at night. Marinette and Escanaba were both a short drive away, but with a house and property so nice we barely left. Thank you so much for having us and it was really nice meeting you, Dick. Can’t wait to return next year!

Located on 40 beautiful wooded acres in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the Lundgren Tree Farm was founded by my grandfather Vic Lundgren in the early 1960s. Originally it was an 1880s homestead farm with a two bedroom log cabin and several out buildings. Over the years, my grandfather planted tens of thousands of trees on the property, painted hundreds of water colors and oil paintings documenting the natural flora and fauna, and converted a barn and other structures into additional bedrooms, an art studio, library and meditation room, and the Silver Dollar Pool Hall. As a lawyer, judge, artist and nature lover, Vic stocked the property with art, books, records and sculpture making the Lundgren Farm incredibly beautiful, inspiring and authentic. Just blocks from Lake Michigan, the Farm is a refuge for animals and artists alike, with trails, a fire pit, and rich solitude from city living. The log cabin farmhouse hosts two bedrooms, the kitchen, dining area, living room and full bath. It is filled with art, books, antiques, and a functional record player, organ and cast iron fireplace. The barn is not your ordinary structure, as it holds five seperate rooms - two bedrooms, an art studio, Vic's office and the meditation room. The open common area is rustic and contains a small workshop. The "Chicken Coupe" is a one bedroom outbuilding located behind the farmhouse, with a full bath (and one of the more modern sleeping quarters). All of the bedrooms have nice linens, wool blankets, mosquito netting (sometimes necessary) and antique furnishings. The screened gazebo next to the pond, is a wonderful place to read, eat or just sit back and listen to the frogs, birds and other wildlife that frequent the property.
  • This was out second stay and it was as wonderful as the first. I knew I’d be back before the season was over and my family plans to come back as soon as the season begins again! It was notably cooler outside this trip, with winter right around the corner, but the every room was comfortably heated and they made sure to have extra blankets available. Such an amazing experience yet again!

    Sara2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at this farm is like being swept back to the simple time of the past. It was so pleasant to be unplugged and enjoy spending time together as a family, to disconnect in order to reconnect. We listened to records, played games, worked puzzles, shared many meals, explored the property and the Upper Peninsula and just talked. If you are looking to unwind, this is the perfect place. We also appreciated being close to a great grocery store. We've stayed in places in the UP that were quite a hike to civilization. This place has everything you need to relax, unwind and leave your busy life behind for a while. We definitely want to come back.

    Laura2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to get away for a few days. Definitely will return.

    Emily2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Lundgren Tree Farm is incredible. There is room to roam and a quaintness to the entire estate. You get the sense of being highly and peacefully isolated but are only 15 minutes from town and any resources you may need. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking supplies (pans/utensils, etc) and the beds were comfortable. Temperature was easily managed in all the spaces! The grounds are fun to wander through and the fire pit enjoyable. We absolutely hope to go back again soon!

    Sara2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a magical place! We were entertained all weekend: hiking, to reading the amazing collection of books, poking through the hidden nooks and treasures, playing in the art room, and relaxing by the fire pit at night. All the rooms were very cozy and comfortable, and the house came equipped with almost everything we needed. This is a great place for an artsy, adventurous group who want to turn off and relax for a while. We will definitely be coming back for more adventures!

    Jackie2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Lundgren Tree Farm is an amazing place to unwind and spend some down time with family or friends. Although you'll need A LOT of bug spray, the premises are extremely well maintained, well-stocked, and the description is very accurate. We had a terrific time and wish we could have stayed longer.

    Daniel2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • It is difficult to sum up all the ways in which we loved our stay at the Tree Farm. Our family covered 3 generations and each and every one of them did not want to leave when it was time to pack up. We savored our time together in this dreamy and magical place. With music of all kinds coming from the turn table and the deep and beautiful woods as our backdrop, we played countless games of pool and cards, loved finding all of your grandfather's incredible artwork tucked here and there, told stories under the stars and just relaxed and listened to the wind blow through the trees. Thank you to all of your family for sharing this special place with ours. We leave relaxed, rejuvenated and filled with many good memories.

  • Perfect lake house getaway spot. Great amenities and hosts. Look forward to visiting again.

    Thad2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely breathtaking!!! We cannot say enough about the place and everything it offers. Eileen has thought of everything that a person needs to stay up north without the hassle of packing anything but your clothes. I honestly couldn't find anything that she didnt already think of to leave on site. This home is amazing. The views to the lake are not only stunning but allow someone with childeren to view them playing in the lake while inside. They have multiple kayaks and canoes which we took full advantage of every day we were there. The lake might as well be considered a private lake because we almost never saw anyone and it was completely no wake and calm. The kids enjoyed the paddle boat and pool floats as well as the many board games left upstairs. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing time to get away and unwind.

  • Awesome place!!

    Jake2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Check in was easy. The house was very clean. Even the showers and bathrooms. Three flat screen tv's. Every appliance, pots, pans you would need are there. Five adults and six kids ages 4-15 fit very comfortably. Plenty of space. The lake is very quiet and peaceful. We all enjoyed swimming, fishing, using the provided boats. Campfires at night. The only negatives: neighbors lighting of huge fireworks pretty late one night, the washer was broke, no wifi. But that's being picky. The house and property are beautiful. Our family made great memories here.

    Kim2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin cabin with an unbelievable view and location!! Would definitely stay here again

    Cj2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Eileen's cabin was beautiful, quiet and comfortable as always. The lake is great for swimming, there is an abundance of early morning wildlife (deer, turkeys, hummingbirds), and there is a large porch for relaxing on to escape any mid-afternoon showers. Town is only a quick car ride away, where you can find groceries, the banks, gas stations, and shops to grab anything you might have forgotten to pack. Plenty of space, amenities, and nature!

    April2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was amazing. The cabin is beautiful and friendly! The lake was wonderful. Our host left us a nice welcome gift with a note and a bunch of helpful info. My friends and I stayed here for three nights, and we enjoyed every day. We just wanted a space to get away from our jobs and we found the perfect place. A lot of us are artists and have to be constantly plugged in for freelance. We were able to escape and it was everything we hoped for. I was in love with the place immediately upon seeing it!

This is our summer home and it is rented just a few weeks per year. Swimming, sailing, boating, fishing, off-road trails, beach fires, and hiking. This is a special part of the North Woods that visitors love, and many return to this comfortable log house with room enough for six people.
Ours is a 2100 sq. ft. log house in Cedarville Township, MI, on the shore of Green Bay across from Gills Rock, Door County, WI. We look at Gills Rock from the vintage glider on the porch and the view is quite expansive. The house sits on the beach, which is all sand, and walking is delightful in either direction. The water is warm and clear, and is shallow near the beach with several sandbars in the near the shore. This makes the spot ideal for children. There is a municipal harbor and boat ramp 4 miles south of the house with very good fishing. The area is rural. The house is prepared for your visit: Dish TV with Chicago locals and ROKU with Acorn, Amazon Prime, Netflix and Starz. It is fully furnished with a modern, well-equipped kitchen with a Viking Stove. Please bring your own sheets and towels. Pets are not allowed. Please do not smoke inside the house. Feel free to bring your own boat. We anchor ours between the sandbars. A security deposit is required. You can opt to clean the house before you leave or pay for a cleaner, which is $75.00. If visitors arrive directly after your visit, the cleaning fee is mandatory.
The Upper Peninsula is rural in nature. What neighbors there are are usually private and quiet.
  • This is a beautiful log vacation home right on the beach. You can walk forever. The furnishings are very nice and it is very clean. Communication with Mike by telephone was pleasant and we experienced no difficulties. WiFi was strong and there was great tv options for the evening. The kitchen is gourmet with everything you could possibly need. We explored the UP area and just loved decompressing there. We will definitely be back!

  • My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mike's Log Home on the Beach. The shore of the Green Bay was just steps away from the front door. The view was spectacular. We enjoyed kayaking on the Green Bay and Cedar River nearby. Accommodations were great, ***** for comfort, cleanliness and views. Mike's directions were very helpful including suggestions for restaurants and grocery stores. It was a great get away, we only wish we had more time to spend there.
