The immediate neighbourhood is quiet and surrounded by farmlands. The roads are quiet and walking is a pleasure. We have prepared a guest book for the suite which details all the local places to eat and visit to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible. While tranquil and peaceful the amenities of Ferns are only a three minute drive away. Take away, pubs, restaurants, shops and a 24 hour garage shop. Ferns is an ancient town believed to have been established in the 6th century when a monastery was founded. Amazingly Ferns was not only the capital of the Kingdom of Leinster but also of Ireland. The city was destroyed by fire and shrank to its current size. However the remains of Ferns Castle is still standing and tours are available. Additionally it is a very easy drive to the towns of Gorey, Enniscorthy and Wexford. The glorious beaches of the sunny south east are easily accessible
  • Darrell is a great host. We loved his dog Alfie! Beautiful relaxing home, would recommend to a friend.

    Karen-Ann2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Darrell is such a gentleman as we couldn't find the place and he had no problem to pick us up in town. Lovely and cosy place to stay with a beautiful green view. Even better is the warm reception from his dogs. We definitely will recommend and come back in a near future.

    Osmar2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Not a single complaint, everything was perfect. Darrell was the friendliest host we’ve experienced, and as dog lovers we adored being able to love on the dogs if we so chose. Highly recommend!

    Ashley2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Darrell's house is the perfect place for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The room is exactly as in the pictures, and you'll have a lovely porch from where you can enjoy the garden, and the sound of the creek and a waterfall just in front. Alfie and Tannar welcomed us on the house, they are lovely. And Darrell was a perfect host. Totally recommend!

    Daniel2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A great rural location. Idyllic for a summer base with the brook outside the patio. Darrell and his wife are caring hosts and place a great deal of emphasis on attention to detail. Great value for money for a couple. Highly recommended.

    Des2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Darrell's place is a quiet utopia! Its breathtaking even though I only stayed 2 nights it was a gorgeous quiet spot - I visited in the rain so I can only imagine the beauty of it in the summer. The sound of the waterfall while we slept was peaceful to say the least. The space was perfect & super clean. Will definitly book again if needed for my visit's to my friends. Thank you Darrell. P.S. Your dogs are just the sweetest!

  • Amazing space! Would love to come back :)

    Kjetil2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really lovely experience here. It's a little off the beaten track but that's what makes it special. The room was wonferful and amenities very handy. It's lovely to be able to make a cup of tea and coffee. Darrell was an excellent host, great communication and the doggies were very friendly. I would definitely come back preferably when it's warm so we can enjoy the outdoor area and waterfall. One night isn't enough!

Located behind our family home, with it's own private garden and patio area. Situated on the Hook peninsula, several beaches, Hook Lighthouse and Loftus Hall within minutes. Wheelchair access and full disabled bathroom.
Davitt Cottage was once the stables for Davitt House. A few years ago we lovingly transformed them into a guest cottage.
Within a 10k radius there are several beautiful beaches, Loftus Hall, Hook Light, Tintern Abbey, Adventure Centre, walks, cycle routes and bars/restaurants
  • Had a lovely stay definitely worth a visit!

  • Such a nice, airy spot with lots of light and super private. The cottage is close to lots of gorgeous beaches, Hook Head, Loftus Hall and Tintern Abbey, and only 30 mins from New Ross. We loved the little touches like milk and juice in the fridge and fresh soda bread. We especially loved being able to bring our dog who loved all the walks and beach runs.

  • Better than a 5star hotel.

    Aidin2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great last minute stay in Anne's, can't fault anything during our stay. Clean, well decorated and in an excellent location close to Hook lighthouse and the surrounding areas. Nice extra touches such as fresh orange juice, bread and jams. Would definitely recommend!

    Cian2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay here. The setting is beautiful, the house was very cosy, and communication was very easy. On checking in Anne gave us loads of tips for things to see and do in the area. We unfortunately had to finish our trip early but look forward to returning during the summer months.

The Creamery is a recently renovated charming two storey stone cottage located just under 10 minutes from Gorey town, renowned for its great shopping and Restaurants. A great base to explore our beautiful hills and beaches which are close by.
The creamery has been recently restored and includes integrated modern conveniences. The interior is ambient and full of natural light. It is heated with air to water heating system (which provides constant hot water) and a solid fuel stove in the living area. There is a bathroom with shower upstairs, and a bathroom with bath downstairs. A brand new modern kitchen with dishwasher has been installed. A large bedroom upstairs with king bed ,and a second smaller bedroom upstairs with double bed. The Creamery is located on its own site with its own private entrance .
  • Fabulous place to stay. The creamery is comfortable and has so many fantastic touches that make you feel right at home. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, house and the heated floors were heavenly warm at all times. We’ll 100% be back again for another trip out of the city. Exactly what we needed and this place delivered above our expectations.

    Lindsay2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona was an incredible host, with a beautiful home. The Creamery is just stunning, warm and cosy. Fiona thought of everything and we couldn’t have asked for more. She was so thoughtful regarding us being vegan, and made sure there were some lovely treats for our arrival! Can’t recommend enough, our only downside was having to leave!

    Aoife2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My Mom, sister and I have just returned from a fabulous weekend at The Creamery. From the moment we booked, Fiona's warmth and hospitality was apparent and this continued throughout our stay. The house is stunning, with so many special features. Fiona has thought of absolutely everything - from homemade brown bread to toiletries, sweets, games - the list is endless! We'll definitely be back!

    Aisling2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona and Claire's place is so relaxing to be at. Lots of lovely little touches like bathroom treats and fresh bits on the fridge for breakfast. Lovely space to be in and had a great night sitting under the stars just feeling away from it all. Will come back for longer next time not just to enjoy the area but to enjoy their lovely hospitality and warm welcome.

    Ben2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous house, very comfortable and warm. Had everything we needed.

    Aine2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • A stay at the Creamery is a must! The place is absolutely stunning and has everything you could possibly need. All of the little touches around the house really make it special. The two hosts, Fiona and Claire, were fantastic and very accommodating. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

    Kaya2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The best AirBnb experience we have ever had! I knew by the photos this place would be gorgeous but if possible it is even better than we expected! Fiona was so lovely to deal with and the her attention to detail was second to none. We really appreciated the little touches like fresh baked bread and cakes and eggs and bacon in the fridge! It’s a home from home and we can’t wait to go back again, I’m already looking at dates!

    Keelin2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had the best time at The Creamery! It’s a beautiful, cosy home that was perfect for a winter weekend away for two (although it would have had more than enough space for 4!). Everything was stylishly decorated, clean and well equipped. We loved putting the fire on after a long day’s walking, and relaxing in the living room each evening. The kitchen has everything you might need, and the underfloor heating and smart TV were a luxurious touch. Fiona was a great host - we arrived to find fresh baked bread and cakes, plus eggs milk and bacon in the fridge for our stay, shampoos and body wash in the bathrooms, and even a couple of Christmas crackers! And she was super helpful and immediately on hand when we had questions or needed anything. The main bedroom where we slept was really comfortable too. Would recommend hiring a car for getting around - Wicklow Mountains National Park is an easy hour’s drive and was stunning. All in all a brilliant stay - thank you Fiona!

    Gorey, County Wexford, Ireland

Unique low impact chalet and charming purpose built kitchen and dining space on an old traditional small farm in rural County Wexford. 14 acres with regenerating woodland, stream, pond, woven willow hut, three family dogs and wandering badgers......
We are offering our lovingly built cabins in the tranquil countryside of Ireland's sunny southeast. Our place is an ongoing work. It encompasses a private, small, warm and bright chalet and separate kitchen in the middle of a family run 14 acre smallholding. The chalet is 32 sq metres and has a purpose-built sleeping loft with a double mattress (look closely at the photos and you will see the bed up the ladder in the loft). There is also a double futon sofa, that can be used on the ground floor as a second bed for families or groups. If you have larger groups, please inquire as we have other sleeping options. The space is heated by a woodburning stove, firewood provided! It was built over a two year period and many of the materials were recycled or sourced by the owner through his forestry work. Wifi is available in the chalet, or if your prefer it can be turned off. A raised deck connects the chalet to a bright, calm kitchen. There is a new five ring gas hob, under counter fridge, beautiful hand made beech counter and with 18m2 of space there is lots of time and space for enjoying the peace of the countryside. We have three family dogs that roam the land and lounge in the sun or hide from the rain! We provide clean bed linen and towels for all the beds/guests. There is a private dry compost toilet alongside the chalet and shower use is available in the main house. We are very conscious about keeping the space immaculate, so that the integrity of the building can be appreciated. The smallholding is very secluded, approx. 3km from the main road and only 7km from artistic Wexford Town. The chalet is tucked into a secluded, private place on the land, near our old apple orchard and wood store. We have established a new large orchard and a regenerating woodland. Our place is far from the road so it is very safe for children. We have a tree house, swingset and there is a small stream, for relaxing, paddling fun. Beautiful long walks and bike rides from your doorstep. There are also many easy, enjoyable walks to take with children. It is a perfect space for people who desire a quiet place to work, think or meditate. There is an abundance of wild birds and wildlife and often a fox, badger or heron can be spotted. The main house is located 20 metres from the chalet, down the lane. We are only 20km from Rosslare Europort. 15km to nearest beach, Curracloe. Many other beautiful beaches not much further down the Wexford coast. 2km to a beautiful walk along the Slaney river. There is a small dock along the river, and kayaking/canoeing is a popular activity. Wexford is the home of the Wexford Opera Festival on the 23rd of October to the 3rd of November. Wexford comes into full swing during the festival, so book your stay early. There is also a fringe festival at the same time. Wexford also has a vibrant arts centre for performances and classes. Wexford is packed with all types of interesting places to visit; from the wild and beautiful Hook Peninsula to the Irish National Heritage Park (just down the road from us). Wexford has many delightful restaurants, and we are quite choosy! from Thai to Italian... Wexford is a slow food town. the website for Wexford tourism is visitwexford Loads of activities for children... horseriding, surfing, a great public swimming pool, along with all the great beaches, 10 screen cinema, bowling alley and huge indoor play centre with climbing frames, video arcade, pool tables and cafe. so rain or shine... everyone can be happy. Wexford is a 3 hour train journey from Dublin, the route is down the east coast, with beautiful views the entire way. Or 2 hours on the bus. Glendalough is 2 hours by public transport, less by car. Cork is 2.5 hours. Kilkenny 45 minutes. Waterford 45 minutes. Both train and bus have a very flexible schedule with many busses and trains returning daily and can leave you in a multitude of places in Dublin or anywhere along the way. We think our home and area are very special and love to welcome people here.
  • Absolutely recommendable! We had a nice little kingdom in the "wilderness". Vivian and Chris helped us with tips, communication, check in ... everything went smoothly. A composting toilet is also an experience, but much better than expected. The location in front of Wexford is great, there is a lot to explore. Any time! Thanks to Vivian and Chris!

  • Very exciting drive along winding track and through gates to find this lovely cabin tucked around the corner from the welcoming home of Vivian and Chris. Vivian met us and showed us around. The kids (and we) loved climbing up the ladder to the bed in the 'attic' area (another 1.5 beds on ground floor), playing with the three friendly dogs outside, exploring the area immediately around us - woodland, apple trees, ditches and wild flower fields. Really eco-friendly set up. Inspiring! less than half an hour to the ferry terminal too

  • If you're looking for a break away from the world this is the place to go. The cabin is clean, cosy and has everything you need. The cabin is easy to find and is located beside a forest that is beautiful to walk through. Carmen is an excellent host!! Carmen ensured we had everything we needed throughout our stay and even went above & beyond by making us a delicious homemade stew to save us cooking. I highly recommend Carmen's place and will definitely be staying again.

    Samantha2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Carmens place, it was in a gorgeous area with an amazing view of the blackstairs mountains! Carmen was very kind and thoughtful, there were muffins & cake upon arrival and she made sure that I had fresh milk in the fridge. Carmen & Peter made sure it was warm upon my arrival by lighting the stove as It can be abit chilly in the night. Carmen was very helpful with telling me about places to visit in the local area and I would highly recommend staying here, especially if you like the countryside!! Thank again Carmen!

  • Look this place is not fancy so if luxury is what your after save Carmen and yourself the problems.. This accommodation is simple, private, cozy and warm and has all that you need. What's extra special about this place is Carmen herself.. There was an apple pie when I arrived and she cooked me my favourite Spanish dish , Tortilla de Patatas. And it was delicious. She picked us up from the bus in Enniscorthy and dropped us back and in the mean dropped and picked us from different things in the area. And it wasn't like she was obligated , she was happy to do it. I'm super grateful Carmen, thank you for a great stay!!!

  • Michael and Louise's house is beautiful. We spent three nights there with our young daughter and it was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house has been beautifully and tastefully restored - it's both spacious and cosy. There's also a Iovely garden for strolling around. The house had everything we needed for our stay. There were a few breakfast treats on our arrival, which was a lovely touch, and we also got to sample the delicious fresh eggs from the hens. The stunning Curracloe beach is a short drive away, as is Wexford town - both are well worth a visit. Michael and Louise were very welcoming - we would highly recommend a stay there and we hope to come back ourselves.

  • If you are looking for a home away from home, this is the place! You have the peace and quiet of the beautiful country side and yet just a drive away from wexford town, beaches and all the great local amenities. The grounds of the farm house are like something from a post card!! And the hosts are brilliant, very friendly. All round 5 stars!

  • My wife and I had originally planned to stay in Dublin. But I had always envisioned vacationing in the Irish countryside. This farmhouse in Wexford county was absolutely perfect. It was so quiet, peaceful, and beautiful that we just stayed "home" most of our stay instead of venturing out for shopping or tours in neighboring towns. The town of Ballymurn is about 1 km (15 minute walk or 2 minute drive) from the farmhouse. We got some food and snacks from the convenience store for cooking at the house. We had a drink at the Anvil where we found a friendly atmosphere of locals stopping by for a drink and company on their way home from work. Reminded me of "Cheers" and was not rowdy at all. We ate at the restaurant/bar inside the Slaney Inn in the town of Oilgate (7 minute drive). The food was good and everyone was very nice. On that note, everyone we met on our vacation was friendly and courteous. A note on dining, if you want to eat out after 6 pm, you will probably need to drive to drive to Wexford or Enniscorthy. Each is about 20 minutes away. We had intended to tour castles, etc., but we enjoyed relaxing at the house. My wife and i are dog people so it was nice having Tiggy there to greet us in the mornings and upon our return from outings. He is very sweet. He appreciates attention but is not pushy or obnoxious. Louise gave us thorough walkthrough of our accommodations upon our arrival and was always there to help with any needs. This place is highly recommended if you need a place to get away from it all and relax.

  • Michael & Louise’s house was amazing, we had a fantastic week at it, our young daughter loved the big garden, the chickens and especially Tiggy the dog. It’s a beautiful house with everything we needed, the most relaxing place we have got to stay in for a while, we would recommend it to anyone.

Hi, the rooms are charged per room but only to one party. If you would like two rooms please book for three people. Breakfast of cereal, fresh coffee and a selection of teas are included for guests to help themselves at their leisure in the kitchen upstairs. Wexford town is ten minutes walk with plenty of good pubs and restaurants within easy reach. Currocloe beech and Johnstown Castle are about 20 minutes in the car, there is public transport but it's not that regular.

  • Alans place was out of this world. Clean and perfect. We got good weather but I don't see any weather dampening this beautiful space. The marina and river walk are incredible and the sun coming up and going down being in perfect view was out of this world. Couldn't recommend more. Can't wait to go back.

The breakfast items were a nice surprise, and greatly appreciated. Having a washer/dryer was a great bonus and super convenient. My daughter was thoroughly entertained with the toys, games and books. Foley's Cottage is an old (18th century), restored , traditional, stone built farmhouse on a working family farm. The cottage has been restored sympathetically using original and locally sourced recycled materials. The roof timbers for example were sawn from trees grown on the farm. Also the kitchen units were handmade by a local craftsman, from recycled pitch pine. There are old beams and traditional real pine boarded floors. In addition, the cottage has all modern conveniences.
Foley's Cottage is an old (18th century), restored , traditional, stone built farmhouse on a working family farm. The cottage has been restored sympathetically using mostly original and some locally sourced, recycled materials. The roof timbers for example were sawn from trees grown on the farm. Also the kitchen units were handmade by a local craftsman, from recycled old pitch pine. There are old wooden ceiling beams and traditional real pine boarded floors. In addition, the cottage has all modern conveniences (ie. Wifi, ensuite showeroom, Jacuzi bath, power showers, wetroom, full oil fired central heating , washer, drier, dishwasher microwave, satellite tv, dvd player). Guest Access: Guests have full access to the entire cottage, patio, garden, lawn, parking and yard areas. Interaction with Guests We live in a nearby farmhouse (4 miles away) and will be often available to assist with information, recommendations and directions if, and as required. The Neighbourhood: Attractions in the area include the Lighthouse and 14 Beaches of the Hook peninsula, Tintern and Dunbrody Abbeys, JF Kennedy homestead and Arboretum, the Dunbrody Emigrant ship in New Ross, Killmokea house and Gardens, Johnstown Castle Museum & gardens, Loftus Hall, National Heritage Park, etc.. There is also fishing, sea angling and horse riding available. Getting Around Off-road Parking for several cars is freely available. Foley's cottage is a farmhouse in open countryside so a vehicle of some kind is absolutely essential as there is little public transport in the area. There are several really quiet country roads and lanes locally for walking, cycling, etc.. Other Things to Note + More .You’ll love my place because of the silence, the people, the ambiance, the outdoors space, the neighbourhood, and the extensive open country views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and pets.
Foley's Cottage is located, on our family farm, out in very quiet, open, country (near a few other houses), just off a quiet country road, about 7 miles South of New Ross. The birdsong and in particular the dawn chorus is most special. Because there is no light pollution, the night skies are quite spectacular.

  • Helen's cottage is perfect for a quiet getaway and a great location to get out and about to explore so many historical areas. It is very rural, the nearest town is a few km's away so a car is needed. The house itself is lovely and cozy with everything supplied that you could think off. Lovely touches also, brown bread & other supplies on arrival. We were a group of 4 with toddler and dog and there was plenty of space up & downstairs. Helen left local recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants, historical places of interest etc. We would highly recommend staying here. Thanks Helen!

Spacious wooden round chalet in a rural setting, yet close to town, beach, and forest walks
Chalet is behind the main residence. Very quiet and peaceful area, cosy wooden interior with lots of light. Perfect for a quiet rural getaway. Fire place is an electric stove. The single beds are made up into a king size, but each with own duvet.

  • Beautiful location and an excellent place to stay. Lovely hosts and friendly dogs, what's not to love!

    Tina2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I spent a weekend at the round chalet and I can say it was great. The place is pretty new and all the furnished is and areas are well made. There are 2 bedrooms, the bathroom is pretty big and shower is huge, kitchen and living room are fully furnished and you cannot get annoyed here as there is a dvd player, a stereo, books, table games, everything to be entertained while you are here. The weather outside was not good at all, but you cannot get bored here. Good to know: there are 2 dogs, 2 cats and 5 hens here, and the host is so kind to leave in the fridge eggs and jams homemade. You can also find fruits, milk and butter, everything to make a good breakfast or at least a sneak. As I went with my wife and or little 5 months baby, I asked for a cot and they prepared one for me in the bedroom. I highly recommend this place for nature lovers, if you are looking for a comfortable place to spend few nights in total relax this is the perfect place for you.

  • We met this fantastic Irish family with a warm welcome. When we left we realised our tyre was flat. The family helped us for alsmot one hour to help us fixing our tyre. Thanks a million for your help and generosity. Accommodation was perfect, beds were great, we slept like babies. We loved it!

  • We had a perfect girlie getaway at the lodge. 4 best friends stayed for 1 night but the hosts were flexible on check out time which meant we had a leisurely lunch before hitting the road. The lodge was spotless and Philomena even brought us in an extra bean bag. It was lovely, warm and cosy on a wet winter Irish Saturday night. We cooked dinner and chatted over a glass of wine. Such bliss! Would highly recommend this space for. Girlie weekend. We also went for a forest walk nearby on the Sunday gorgeous...:)

Beautiful tree house with amazing views as seen on RTÉ's "The Big DIY Challenge". Enjoy a hilltop sunset over southern Ireland or watch a rainstorm pass over the fields from an elevated cozy site. Light a romantic fire in the wood stove and enjoy a glass of wine whilst taking in the views from multiple oversized windows. Stargaze from the loft bed through a large skylight. Enjoy grabbing an apple from the deck set within the apple trees which connects the tree house to the matching bathroom pod.
The tree house was designed to be beautiful and comfortable, it incorporates style and function seamlessly. From its white washed wooden walls to the high gloss kitchen cabinets which give it a clean crisp feeling. The kitchen consists of microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and small refrigerator all accessible but hidden out of sight so the space doesn't feel cluttered. Outside on the deck is a covered BBQ grille/cooking area. The tree house is fully insulated and has double glazed windows, the cosy wood burner heats it quickly and firewood or easylite fire logs are supplied, Also there is an electric heater for those who don't want to light a fire. It has all modern electrics with touch screen light switches and sockets with integrated USB chargers. The bathroom pod even though its 2 meters off the ground has a fully tiled floor, normal toilet and sink and a large 2 person shower with rainfall shower head. The shower has two massive windows which makes it feel like your one with nature but because of the height makes it completely private. Bathrobes are provided but we recommend bringing flip flops even though the bathroom pod is just a small distance across the deck from the tree house.
Located in a rural setting but only mins from N11 and the new M11 Enniscorthy bypass. About 1 hour from Dublin and 10 minutes from Gorey Town which has many restaurants, pubs and coffee shops.
  • Such a gorgeous setting. Doesn’t matter if it’s raining or sunny, this place impresses regardless. Great if you’re looking to get off your phone for a few days and relax

    Aoife2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy and warm beautiful views including many wild birds. The greatest shower you will ever take and one of the best spaces you will ever stay. Matt and Ruth went over the top to make sure we were ok they even had a personalised card written for us. (which we kept by the way) 100% reccomend staying at "the hideout" Thanks Matt and Ruth

    Magdalena2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our 2 night stay at the treehouse was amazing. It’s called the hideout for a good reason; you have the run of the place and feel totally removed from day to day life. Matt and Ruth have it kitted out with everything you could possibly need. You’re left to just sit back, enjoy the amazing nature views and the cozy interior. I had to drag my partner out of the place!! We’d happily go back.

    Alan2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and my boyfriend spent our one year anniversary in the hideaway and it was absolutely fantastic! What a wonderful space Matthew and Ruth have here, it is everything you want for a relaxing weekend away. It is an experience we will never forget and hope to come back soon! Thank you Matthew and Ruth for being such attentive friendly hosts!

    Ailish2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay at The Hideout. The directions were spot on getting there and Matthew and Ruth were very welcoming upon arrival. The Hideout is just a slice of heaven. No other way to describe it. Everything we needed for our stay and more. All the little touches were just amazing. When we needed more firewood all I had to do was text and they had it to us problem. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back!

    Sarah2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most amazing time at the Hideout. Ruth and Matt have thought of everything. The little touches, snacks, diffuser etc! If you are looking for a chilled getaway with no distractions this is the perfect place. The view is also sensational! I can’t recommend this stay enough. We couldn’t fault anything.

    Aoife2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The most amazing experience with amazing hosts! Personal touches and little details are amazing coupled with such an amazingly unique space and experience! Really and truly the best experience we have had in the form of accomodation something everybody should experience thanks so much !! 😃😃

    Aaron2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We are just back from one night in the hideaway during an orange storm warning and honestly, it was the most incredible experience. You can thoroughly immerse yourself in nature while remaining dry and warm. This place is a completely Gem and Ruth and Matt were exceptional hosts. The treehouse was immaculately clean and the overall experience was outstanding. Thank you Matt and Ruth!

  • We had an amazing stay at Alan's with our toddler and baby. The apartment was spotless and the location is simply amazing - overlooking farmland, a river and hills in the distance. With chickens and lambs to visit, swans on the river (which has a lovely walk along side it and private access to the riverwalk from Alan's property) our toddler was never bored. Alan and his family are so welcoming; always ready to share local knowledge or invite our toddler to help feed the chickens - they couldn' t have been better hosts. The flat is great and there are lots of thoughtful touches - breakfast supplies and lots of fresh eggs. We would absolutely stay here again!

    Caitrin2020-04-09T00:00:00Z

  • A real gem in this area. Top class stay in all aspects. Excellent communication from Alan, large modern and comfortable space, will not want to get out of the shower! Within a few steps of the Barrow Track, brilliant for running, cycling or river walks. Alan provided all the essentials for a hearty breakfast, including his own free range eggs. 5 star stay, we’ll be back!

The apartment has Gas heating, elevator access, open plan kitchen and living area, upstairs there is the double room with the single room just off the bedroom. Main bathroom with shower. I unfortunately have no travel cot available at my apartment.

Ann’s newly renovated apartment was most comfortable and very convenient to all of our needs. Wexford offered to us a wonderful slice of Irish life. If we return to Ireland, Ann’s place in Wexford will be at the top of or list.

Nestled at the end of a pot-holed lane adjacent to Rock Lodge, this cottage is a lovely converted stone-built stable block in a peaceful rural location. Situated a few minutes from the beautiful Tintern Abbey and within 15 minutes of the lovely beaches at Duncannon, Cullenstown and Fethard. Both Wexford town and New Ross are within easy reach as are the popular tourist deitinations of Hook lighthouse, Dunbody Famine ship and the Irish National Heritage Centre.
The cottage is beautifully furnished with its original old stone walls, newly fitted kitchen with marble work tops and funky old wrought iron tractor seats as bar stools. With one double bedroom with double bed I’m afraid we cannot accommodate small children. Rock lodge is cosy, warm in winter and bright in summer but just doesn’t have the room for travel cots and put up beds for little people. We are perfect for 2 people...
We have beautiful beaches just a 10 minute drive from the cottage. Also Tintern Abbey, Hook lighthouse, The Dunbrody famine ship and many more attractions. 15 minutes from New Ross and 25 minutes from Wexford Town. We have a little shop in the village to pick up any essentials!
  • A lovely quaint cottage! Everything we needed for a quiet weekend! Really enjoyed our stay in Rock Cottage. Dealing with Steph was a pleasure!

    Stephen2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is in a great part of Ireland and Steph goes above and beyond for her guests. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to stay here while exploring Wexford and Waterford. One thing worth noting; the Wi-Fi is in and out so if you're considering a night in, bring a deck of cards.

  • Great place. Carmel is a friendly and available host. The chalet is really great with the most which is the wood stove ... It feels like in a cocoon.

  • Great little cozy place, perfect for a solo traveler or couple. Very friendly hosts that go out of their way to make a nice stay. Beautifully scenic area and close drive to New Ross which will have everything you need.

  • Cosy, comfortable and clean, excellent host and location. Just wonderful.

    Michelle2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in the cottage. The location is perfect. Not far away from the cities of Waterford and Wexford, and close to the amazing Hook lighthouse. We cooked our meals in the evening as we were travelling with our baby boy so didn't do much night time exploring. Kitchen is fully equipped and you'll find all you need to prepare yourself a nice meal. We loved the fireplace and the all the little decorations in the house. Also, the mattress is super comfy. Would love to stay here again! Thanks Carmel&Sean!

  • Joan is a wonderful lady and host. Her home is warm and beautiful. The bedroom is lovely with a very comfortable bed. On suite is excellent. I cannot say enough good things about my stay except to advise anyone visiting Wexford to stay there.

  • Joan i s a wonderful host , she cannot do enough to make your stay even better , her home is spotlessly clean ., and so close to all amenities . I would highly recommend a stay at Joans

  • Absolutely five star all the way. Joan is a superb host and her house is immaculate. The bed is so comfortable I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in ages. Joan was so helpful and kind and I would stay there again if I went back to Wexford. Thank you Joan for a great stay.

  • Joan's place was pleasure to stay at, comfortable Ensuite Room with toiletries, breakfast was tasty. Joan was great to talk with & the location is great, not even a 5 min drive to Wexford town & a 12 min walk so ideal. We'll definitely be back to Joan for our next trip. Many Thanks Lorraine

  • Wonderful stay, amazing host and fenomenal breakfast!

    Anelle2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Joan was great! She served a nice breakfast and gave me a lift into town to the pub. I had a nice time chatting with her. The room was very comfortable and quiet, and the bed was super soft. Note: my gps took me to some kind of dorm/school housing. That’s not it - her home is a private single family home. So, if your gps is being as “creative” as mine was, type in the area code she gives you to avoid this confusion.

    Kris2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Joan's home is such a comfortable and warm atmosphere to stay in. The room was extremely comfortable for my mom and I, and conversation with Joan in the mornings with a delicious breakfast was nice to wake up to. Always felt welcomed. The area is great, a close walk to town, the bus and train station and all the food shops and pubs. Highly recommend.

Great location for walking due our close proximity to the blackstairs mountains. Surrounded by farmlands making it a tranquil stay. 1
Cosy living room with great movie/book selection. Wood burning stove makes it really cosy in the evenings.Kitchen is stocked with essentials to save you from having to go get oils & spices. Luxury log cabin set in the grounds of a Georgian Dower house build in 1710. The cabin sits in a private and secluded spot with total peace and tranquility. Ideally located for the coast and countryside. With good walks, gardens and fishing within easy reach as well as historical towns like Waterford and Kilkenny. We are only 5 miles from New Ross where the famine ship Dunbrody is located, 20 minutes from Kennedy Park and the coast. Wonderful historical gardens & abbeys are all within easy reach
We have horses and two very friendly dogs so ideally you are dog loving, countryside lovers. However if you are not a doggie person just let us know and they will be 'banished' from cabin garden! Pugs will be very disappointed though as she is used to her treats from cabin guests! Horses graze the paddock immediately behind the cabin and you are welcome to walk and enjoy our 8 acre grounds. We have been slowly renovating the house and grounds for 2 years and there are still parts waiting to be finished so we hope you like historic buildings and will enjoy the work we are doing.
Good restaurants and facilities within a few miles. If you are looking for nightclubs and razzmatazz then this is not for you.
  • I can't recommend enough this place. Liz is so welcoming and makes sure to provide everything you would need to enjoy your stay the most. We had a lovely weekend there and luckily the weather was beautiful which helped us to appreciate the gorgeous view. Liz brings delicious pastries every morning for breakfast, and you also find many other amenities to prepare your meals. If you are looking for a quite place where you can have a relaxing stay I would highly recommend.

    Ana2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Liz’s place was fantastic! It was a great location with amazing views, and we wished we could have stayed longer. We definitely would stay again!

    Eryn2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • If you need to stay in this area of Ireland, stay here! So so so cute, larger than expected, and Liz has thought of everything you might need. Books, movies, breakfast, toiletries- it was a perfect stay. Really really wish we had stayed longer.

    Brandon2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We were unfortunately only one night in the cozy Prospect Lodge. Very comfortable and lovingly furnished. The well-kept garden and the views are a force. Everything is there for a cozy breakfast. We can only recommend Liz as a host

    Eveline2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely wooden cabin, lot of great touches and a very attentive host!

    James2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Liz's place is a beautiful tranquil haven, we look forward to another visit soon. We have 2 under 2 and I loved watching my 20month old run free in the huge garden while I rocked my 3 month old from the veranda. We were very lucky with the weather and only decided to go on a trip that very day, Liz was more than helpful to accommodate my last minute booking and answered a bombardment of questions so quick which made our choice so easy. Liz went above and beyond with the amenities available and even brought warm toast and croissants each morning! It really felt like we were in the south of France! My only constructive criticism would be to rewrite or update her description of the dwelling because she definitely under sells herself. A fabulous place, a wonderful staycation.

    Sarah Eva2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth's hideaway lodge was a perfect place to relax after a long journey with views which are far reaching and totally unspoilt, and peace which was broken only by the cows in the adjacent field. A great welcome to Ireland and within an hour of docking in Rosslare. Highly recommended.

The host provided an amazing space at an incredible value, and found that perfect balance of being warm and friendly and providing space for her guests. If you don’t stay here, you do a disservice to yourself. I’m definitely coming back.

  • We had a great stay in Eamons really quirky cottage!

    Luke2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really great time at Eamon's cottage. It was so peaceful and cosy and our kids and dog really loved the amazing garden with all of its nooks and crannies and fun swings! The cottage is a 5 minute drive from the beautiful beach at Kilmore Quay and Éamon was a great host with lots of knowledge about the local area. I would definitely book this accommodation again and look forward to a return trip when the sun is shining!

    Susan2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay at Eamons cottage! Excellent communication throughout the process, would recommend

    Stephen2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Eamon's house with our 2 kids, 3yo & 5yo. Eamon was very welcoming and provided us with local information. The weather was terrible unfortunately but the house was very cosy and we had the fire going in the evenings which warmed the house perfectly. The house was very clean and well stocked out with everything we needed. Our two boys loved playing in the large garden with all the swings and play equipment. The house is well off the main road so very safe for families with young kids. We would definitely recommend Eamon's house.

    Alan2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely place to get away , me and my friend came down from Belfast and enjoyed the whole area around us , thanks again to Eamom for the quick responses and lovely home. Definitely be back again

  • If you want modern, contemporary, totally spotless.. then don’t go BUT if you want traditional, unspoilt and in the most idilic setting hosted by a great chap Eamon.... then go. Don’t miss this place. It’s fab

    Julia2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great welcome on arrival. Eamon gave us all the info on the area and surrounding hinterland, where to visit, etc. The house was very comfortable and homely and the perfect location to get away from it all and centrally located and within easy driving distance to all the main tourist attractions and the best beaches. We could not recommend Eamon or his home highly enough.

    John2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • A great weekend getaway, we loved it! A fantastic place tucked away near Kilmore Quay. Very comfortable and cool pad, lovely bath, a real sense of nature in the relaxing back garden with sheep in one neighbouring field and cows in another, and Eamon was great with communication and easy-going with times. This is what Airbnb is all about! Daniel
