  • A beautiful place in a very tranquil setting. Spotlessly clean and well equipped for a stay. Fabulous facilities, very close to Limerick and Tipperary Town. Andrew was an excellent host and chatted while respecting my privacy. The property is set in idyllic country side location with fabulous nature outside the door. Highly recommend.

  • This is a spectacular place to stay! The apartment was clean, cozy and well supplied with what I needed. Andrew responded quickly to any questions and was an amazing host. He made sure to provide me with tips regarding the local areas and recommended places to visit. You also can’t be the view of the night sky. A truly amazing view!

  • We absolutely loved our stay at Scragg Farm. The space was as gorgeous as it was cozy and it had the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. Andrew was lovely, had plenty of suggestions, and the loveliest pooch as well. Highly recommended, great jumping off point for hikes and walks.

    Sophia2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew is a lovely host. We arrived very late in the evening but he came across to the cottage to greet us. We were welcomed with a lit log burning stove. The cottage is lovely. Very clean and everything you need. It’s a away from everything but only a ten min walk to the local, Idlers Bar. We spent two evenings there, the landlord and the locals were really friendly and welcoming. We hired a car to get around. Had a lovely stay and would highly recommend Andrews cottages. Would love to return one day

    Maria2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Andrew’s place has been my favorite Airbnb experience. The cottage itself is outstanding in comfort, cleanliness, and charm. But the real star is Andrew himself. His genuine hospitality is unparalleled.

    Tina2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew is a fantastic host, who provided lots of great suggestions for things to do and see in the local area. The house is nicely furnished, comfortable, clean and warm. We would very much recommend a stay here!

We collected our keys without issue from the family pub - was shown to the house *quiet a steep driveway for weary drivers* but who doesn't like a challenge? Large homely house - perfect sized kitchen and sitting room with Wifi. Can't wait to go back (minus the storms) Thanks Cillian

We didn't get the chance to meet Jo Ann in person but she replies quickly and she made sure we were able to check-in easily. I would definitely recommend this airbnb to anyone!

    Brittany2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Jo Anna place is a lovingly restored old forge. It is really tastefully decorated and oh so quiet and restful. It is like Jo herself, small but perfect. We are a couple with 3 dogs and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jo was there to meet us and check us in and we had a great chat with her and her four beautiful children. (Superwoman eat your heart out) The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is toasty warm. The area is a nature lovers and walkers paradise. Book now and enjoy.

In the heart of the Irish countryside, you'll find yourself staying in a modern and stylish apartment that is cared for by wonderful hosts that manage to make you feel right at home whether you come from 10 minutes away or 100 miles away. As we booked it for Valentine's day, little touches were added by our hosts that really made the experience that much more wonderful.

  • Wonderful return visit here for 9 days and coming back again in April. I love the apartment, the hospitality, comfort and quiet of this cozy Airbnb apartment. It’s perfect for me alone and will be nice to return with my husband on a future visit. Keith and Danielle are attentive, warm and friendly. They offer the perfect balance of being there for you when you need them and giving you plenty of privacy and space to yourself. I love the welcome of a generous starter pack of food upon arrival. Flying in from USA and jet lagged, it’s a big bonus for me. I love the visiting kitties who will come in and hang out with me when invited. Thank you for providing a lovely space and a home away from home . I’ll look forward to many happy returns!

A king size bed and enormous bathroom await you in a country haven 3km from The Rock of Cashel in Co Tipperary. Helen will share her secret way to get FREE entry to the plus FREE parking at the rock. My traditional Irish country house is set just 3 km from "The Rock" on a quiet leafy country road. An ideal base to tour the Southern part of Ireland. Sink into a super luxurious King bed with hotel grade sheets. only the best.for.Helens guests!
The most tranquil and best value place to stay in Cashel. Luxury accommodation with complete peace and quite and only 5 minutes into Cashel. A car is essential. Guess access is a spacious double room with a divinely comfortable king size bed you wont want to leave. Care is taken with every detail... from duçk down duvet and pillows, memory foam mattress topper, hotel grade cotton sheets. The room has been designed professionally to create a restful space. The only sound you will hear are the birds. Your bath room is for your use only. It is a large bathroom with a full size bath and shower. Breakfast is not provided and there is no access to the kitchen or the rest of the house. However your host can tell you where to get a great breakfast at very reasonable prices. It is a perfect stopping off point between Dublin and Kerry or Cork and a great place to chill out. Cashel is the gourmet capital of Tipperary. Your host will give you recommendations based on your tastes and price range from the best fish and chips to the gourmet. She can tell you how to get into the Rock of Cashel for free (saving you 6 euro per person). Her passion is travel and finding out of the way unusual places far from the tourist traps and will happily share them with you. You will get your own key to your room and the house and can come and go as you please.
Peaceful area 3km from cashel. 4 min drive but not suitable for public transport. in the heart of The Golden Vale yet close to major transport routes. Tipperary is a county of immense natural beauty, with a unique and ancient heritage. Shaped by the rugged Galtee Mountains and the River Suir, Tipperary has some of Irelands most breathtaking scenery and dotted with towns and villages. Cashel is home to the iconic Rock of Cashel. One of the most spectacular tourist attractions in Ireland and one of the most visited. Cashel’s rich history is reflected in its built heritage, from prehistoric earth mounds to mediaeval monasteries and fortified town houses, a Georgian Cathedral and a 21st century Library (which holds regular exhibitions, workshops and concerts). The Georgian quarter also boasts the Bolton Library where you can find the smallest book in Ireland. With 3 mountain ranges nearby its a mecca for the outdoors. Cycling routes are endless! Sadly most visitors just overnight in Tipperary and miss out on so much. Instead of rushing from Dublin to Kerry like the masses, why not stay a little longer and explore Irelands Ancient East with advice from a guide who will help you find the interesting, less visited, less touristic places.
  • The room and bathroom we’re immaculately clean! Check in was easy, communication was prompt, and directions to her place were clear. The bed was probably the comfiest bed I had slept in and it was much needed as we had just landed into Ireland that day. Thank you for hosting us, Helen! I highly recommend the stay here. :)

The place is exactly as described - it is right on the water and the doors and windows frame the lake beautifully and make it feel like the lake is all yours. Barry is a great host - on hand for anything we needed! Can't recommend this place enough.

The word 'cashel' is an Anglicised version of the Irish word caiseal, meaning 'fortress' (related to the English 'castle', from the Latin castellum). Cashel is one of the proud tidy town winners in 2017. The town of Cashel owes its existence to a giant limestone outcrop of massive historical and social importance. Known as the Rock of Cashel, it was the seat of the Kings of Munster from the 5th century until it was given to the church in 1101. It's a five-minute stroll from the town the Rock.
Located in the heart of the golden vale. We are centrally located 1.2 km from M8, only 2 km from Rockwell College, founded in 1864 Its list of former pupils and teachers includes two Presidents of Ireland Éamon de Valera, Taoiseach and President of Ireland and Dr Patrick Hillery, President of Ireland 1976-1990. Not far from Coolmore Stud, Glen of Aherlow, Cahir Castle, Mitchelstown Caves, numerous parkland golf courses all within less than 20 mins drive. There are lovely walks close by such as the lake of Rockwell College, the famous river suir where you can park in Cahir and stroll down the river, around the walled town of Cashel. Spacious and safe off road parking, during the summer you can sit in the porch and relax in the garden soaking up the sunshine. You can watch the cattle in the field rise in the morning and retire at night from your bedroom window.
Our home is halfway between Rockwell College and exit 9 off the M8. We are 2mls (3km) from the centre of Cashel and 2mls from the historic Rockwell College in the heart of the golden vale. 15km from out home you can visit the historic Swiss Cottage located 2km south of Cahir Town on the road to Ardfinnan (Cahir is a Heritage Town). Close to Cahir you have easy access to Ballyporeen the ancestral home of former US President Ronald Regan. You can also visit the historic holy cross abbey in holy cross village on the river suir between Cashel and Thurles town.

Stay in a beautifully restored 2 bed farmhouse in Ballylooby, Cahir, Co. Tipperary in the heart of the Golden Vale. Situated on a working farm, this 100 year old farmhouse comes full with Irish charm and character.
This is an incredible opportunity to stay in a beautiful traditional Irish cottage in the heart of the Irish countryside. Located in a working farm with cattle and horses, this cottage is a real gem with the famous Irish hospitality included. Contains 1 bedroom with double bed, and 1 single bedroom.
There are TONS of things to do in the area: COUNTRYSIDE: Walk the Vee in the nearby Sugar Loaf mountains. The Vee is famous because of the breathtaking panoramic views afforded to travellers and sight seers going through the pass. The journey rises to about 2,000 feet (610m) above sea level above Bay Lough, and as it does so it gives wonderful views of a portion of the ‘Golden Vale’ between the Knockmealdown and Galtee Mountain Ranges. RAMBLING: If walking is your thing, then the area around the Vee, Bay Lough, Loughglenbridge, Sugar Loaf Hill, Knockshanahullion and Gortacullen Wood (just under the Vee following the Tipperary Heritage Way sign) offer a multitude of choices no matter what type of road walking or mountain climbing you fancy. Take a look at our Walks section to give you an idea of some of your options. HISTORY: Visit nearby Cahir Castle, one of the largest castles in Ireland, is sited on an island in the river Suir. It was built in 1142 by Conor O'Brien, Prince of Thomond. This is a magnificent must see option for any visit to Cahir. The Rock Of Cashel is also a short drive away. It's huge, it's complex, it's iconic, there is nothing like it anywhere else in the world and it's right here in Cashel at the heart of Tipperary. The Rock of Cashel (Carraig Phádraig), more formally St. Patrick's Rock, it is also known as Cashel of the Kings. Reputedly the site of the conversion of Aenghus the King of Munster by St. Patrick in the 5th century AD. Long before the Norman invasion The Rock of Cashel was the seat of the High Kings of Munster. SHOPPING: The cottage is a short drive away from the heritage town Cahir, full of interesting shops and pubs and an excellent tourist office set on the banks of the majestic river Suir (perfect for a lazy afternoons picnic!) GOLF: There are many golf courses in the area, including Cahir, Tipperary, Thurles, Ballykisteen and Dundrum House golf club. If you are a golfer this is the perfect location for you! EQUESTRIAN: Tipperary is home to Coolmore Stud in Fethard and many equestrian entreprises due to the superb quality of its limestone based grass. Whether you want to go horse trekking, racing or play polocrosse, there is something for everyone here. Cahir is a really beautiful part of Ireland and we look forward to welcoming you!

  • A big thank you to Maureen and her family. We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt comfortable. The breakfast is great and the little details like offering tea and cookies or setting the table for our breakfast were wonderful. It is a super nice and clean house. The family is very friendly and it was also no problem to speak with them about everything you want to know, so you can get nice advices from Maureen to plan your trips. The dogs of the family, which you mostly see in the garden, were a plus for us. Overall, this is exactly what Airbnb is made for, very friendly hosts trying to give their guests a good time. The room was very beautiful and very clean. We also could use a private living room. Thank you so much Maureen and your family

  • Irish hospitality is legendary and alive and well in rural Tipperary! Maureen was a great host and the house was as warm and welcoming. I instantly felt at home. Maureen was also keen to help with any aspect of my journey giving lots of useful information and offering relevant advice. Although there were other guests staying it was very quiet in my room and there was space for everyone with a guests lounge / tv room downstairs. An ideal place to unwind and slow down.

Would definitely stay here again if I was in Tipperary.

  • A stunning property in an even more stunning location. Andrew was a perfect host even supplying fresh eggs every morning.

    Ian2020-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Andrew's place in the middle of March. We spent the week there and loved it. It is out of town, but never seemed to far away. We liked the idea of having a "home base" instead of finding a new place every night. We stayed for 6 nights and we visited Blarney Castle, Ring of Kerry, Limerick, Shannon, Cliffs of Moher, Rock of Cashel, Rock of Dunmase, and Bunratty Castle. We were able to do all of these with early starts and able to be back in the evenings to just chill. The fireplace was lovely and the cottage was great to just relax in after the day. There were guest in the other side of the cottage some of the nights we were there and could not hear anything through the walls. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals, so stopping at the store and buying our groceries helped alot. We often did breakfast and dinner in the cottage while ate lunch out. Andrew was great to sit and chat with for a while and was so full of knowledge and his love for his land and the entire area came shining through. During our stay was when the Corona-virus really picked up, and the government shut down Ireland, we were blessed to be able to do everything we wanted before it all shut down, but Andrew was great to make sure we were well aware of what was going on. We were still in Ireland when the travel ban to America took effect, but managed to make it home with very little problems. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to people who don't mind being off the beaten path!

  • A fabulous hideaway from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to it if that’s what you’re after. Andrew is a great host

    Maurice2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Andrew's! He greeted us along with his beautiful dog Storm who was absolutely lovely. His place definitely has a cabin-feel with amenities such as stovetop, small refrigerator, woodstove, electric heater, etc. We found the bed very comfortable and stayed warm through the night. We also really liked walking to the nearby pub (the Idler Bar) that Andrew recommended. Overall we had a great stay. We would stay here again especially if it meant more time with Storm!

  • Andrew was the perfect host, with a warm welcome and quick to respond to communication. The property is wonderfully located - a peaceful rural setting just a short drive to Limerick city. The place was clean and cozy - ideal for a mini break.

  • What a wonderful place. Peaceful, quiet and cozy. Log fire was super. For a break away from the outside world, complete relaxation, this is the spot. Will defo be back again. Stars at night amazing.

    Ellie2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew’s cottage was perfect. We had ample space, we were able to cook up a majority of our meals right there at home, and he gave awesome tips for what to do in the area (and all over Ireland really). We’d highly suggest this pristine getaway. His property is gorgeous, and we didn’t want to leave.

  • Very good for families with small children. The accommodation is well equipped and lovingly decorated. Everything was also available for children and the surrounding area with a large garden is ideal for exploring Ireland.

  • Fethard is a small town. If the visitor has a car - the town is quite as well as located between three other towns/cities and is a good base for sightseeing the area. If no car, as was with me, public transportation into, and around, the Fethard area is limited. Still, a pleasant stay...nice accommodations, and an exceptional host.

Recently awarded 'Most Unique Listing in Ireland' by Airbnb! This cabin is nestled in a tranquil woodland setting, with uninterrupted panoramic views over Lough Derg all the way to the Sliabh Aughty hills in Galway. The cabin is far away from busy roads and street lights and is a haven of birdsong, starry nights and spectacular sunsets with "one of the best views we have ever woken up to". Fully equipped with kitchen, bathroom and lofted bedroom; and is suitable for all seasons.
You have a seperate entrance and car parking facility. We live adjacent to the cabin but it is not overlooked. The cabin was designed and built by Stephen (a master carpenter) who was inspired by the 'Tiny Homes Movement' which advocates living simply on a smaller scale. It is built from locally sourced timber, is fully insulated and has low voltage led lighting; all designed to increase sustainability and minimise the environmental impact. Although small in scale, the cabin contains everything you could need for a perfect holiday experience.
This area is far from the busy tourist trails and is a well-kept secret haven of natural beauty. However, our central location means you are only an hour from the 'Wild Atlantic Way' and less than two hours from Dublin.
  • A perfect little place to get away and relax. We had a lovely despite most places being closed due to covid-19. We spent more time walking and sight seeing and zero time in the pub, it was actually great. Would definitely recommend you check this place out.

  • Steve and Aine are wonderful hosts. They picked and dropped us in Nenagh city centre as we didn't have our own vehicle. They provided us with all the essentials we asked for and helped quickly. The house itself is so full of amenities that we enjoyed every bit of the "Human nest." Enjoyed the nature at it's best. Birds chirping and the smell of the wet ground and grass was therapeutic and made us feel content. Amazing place to stay. Go for it. ♥️🙂

  • We had a terrific experience staying at the Art truck. 1st we signed up for Bryce's bike tour. The Galtee mountains are beautiful and the bikes are a blast (electric assist 😉). Bryce is a great tour guide and has an excellent knowledge of the local history. The art truck is so unique and has been set in the perfect position on the property. We woke up in the morning to the most serene view of the Galtees and such a great way to start the day 😊. Deirdre is an accomplished painter and her incredible artwork is all around to admire. We had an amazing time and would recommend the art truck experience to anyone. Thanks again Bryce and Deirdre.

You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the views, and the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets). We are only 45 minutes from Cork city, 1 hour drive from Waterford and Limerick city. The new Greenway in Dungarvan is a big attraction for cyclists and keen walkers well worth a visit, Ardmore village is well worth a visit , with the lovely cliff walk and and lovely beach, Youghal is also worth a visit, with lovely food at the Sir Walter hotel
The Cottage is compact yet it is more than adequate for 2 people to have a quiet relaxing short break in comfortable surroundings.
We live in a very lush and mountainous area of West Waterford, North Cork, we are so fortunate to have lovely views and gorgeous scenery
  • The place is a cute one bedroom apartment with kitchen-livingroom area all together. The bedroom is spacious and has a small wardrobe for leaving belongings. Note that the shower is inside the bedroom separated from the bathroom, also, if you have long hair, be aware that there is not much water pressure. The central heating worked perfectly and there is fireplace as well that can be used if needed. The kitchen is fully equipped with plates, cutlery and pots and was kept clean. All-in-all, the stay was pleasant and the place has all you might need for a weekend or a few days surrounded by nature!

  • Just returned from a fabulous weekend in Theresa’s cottage. It is such a gorgeous little spot and there were some lovely little touches. The fire was lit upon arrival which made it very cosy. • Just returned from a wonderful night stay at Theresa's cottage. Lovely peaceful location to unwind. Cottage very clean and cosy with a beautiful stove fire burning when we arrived. Everything we needed, will definitely return.

    Alison2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is a beautiful place to stay! Theresa allowed me to check in slightly earlier because it was empty from the night before, which was very handy as I arrived earlier than expected. The stove was lighting when I arrived, a lovely touch! There's plenty of kitchen utensils and cooking facilities, and the dogs that greet you at the doorstep in the morning are very friendly and excited to meet new people. Would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a walking trip, or a cosey quiet night away!

  • Hollyford Hillside Haven is a beautiful, peaceful place with nature all around yet within a reasonable distance of the railway station where you can go anywhere on a Eurail Pass (I think only for Australians though, must be bought there). Even with no car, the rural location was no problem because the hosts usually go to town anyway and are happy to give you a lift there and back. Everything is clean, comfortable and just lovely. Best is the warm, friendly people. Fabulous hospitality and also a great place to write or read or relax. - Penny.

  • Anne’s place was great, nice and cozy! They had the heat going so it was nice and toasty when we arrived (it was a chilly rainy day). Great location to see some local sights and she had homemade scones for us with breakfast that were amazing too!

Main bedroom w/toilet and two additional rooms, my town house has all mod cons, except TV, and is on the main Limerick Road into Tipperary. Opposite the Costcutters Petrol Station open until 11pm and 2min stroll to Corneys Pub. Free parking & great for any Galtee Walkers or Wedding guests. Bus/Train accessible.
So convenient ... but it does over look the main road so there is a price for every convenience.
Tipperary town hills are at the back of the house, great for a jog or after dinner stroll.
  • Second stay in Gloria home and was all perfect, central location walking distance to the center of town and ideally based to explore the vicinity cities. My place is a five minute drive to Kilshane House Hotel for wedding guests. Beautiful walks nearby my Cottage here. I'm less than a one hour drive from Cork, Kilkenny, Dungarvan and Waterford and 40 minutes from Limerick so central. The beautiful Glen of Aherlow is nearby with great walks, cycle trails and horse riding. You’ll love my place because of the stove, the comfy bed, the kitchen, the cosiness, the high ceilings and the views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and families
I'm also 5 minutes from Cahir, the historical town with Cahir Castle and the Swiss Cottage in the beautiful Cahir Park with mature trees and the river Suir. The Mitchelstown caves are a 15 minute drive away. The town of Cashel is also a 15 minute drive where u have the fabulous Rock of Cashel which is a must see!! For the golfer you are spoilt for choice of golf courses nearby. The Glen of Aherlow scenic drive is just down the road from me, drive along country roads with fabulous views of the Galtee mountains ( which are fantastic for hikers) and continue on to Aherlow House Hotel where u get the most amazing views of the Galtees and on the way home stop off at the Coach Road Bar for a drink and meet the friendly locals. As you can see, plenty to do when you stay at my cottage.
  • Patrick was a very accommodating host sharing his wealth of knowledge on the area for things to see and do. The fire was ready for us on arrival which was a nice touch and the cottage had all the amenities needed to ensure a cosy and relaxing few days away. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet break

    Joseph2020-03-18T00:00:00Z

  • Really nice cosy place. Patrick had a fire lighting for us when we arrived which was a really nice touch. Really enjoyed our stay

    Robert2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great location especially if you want to visit Rock of cashel and Cahir Castle. Patrick’s place is extremely cosy, he had the stove lit for us when we arrived which was a lovely touch. This is a real home away from home with everything you could need for your stay. Patrick gave us some great recommendations of places to eat and where to visit. Thanks so much for a great stay 😊

    Roisin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • A great house to stay in the South Tipparary area. Warm and clean with all the amenities you will need for a short stay. Great communication from Patrick and a warm welcome. Recommended.

    Rik2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Patrick's cottage is an absolute gem. Patrick went the extra mile to ensure our stay was a great one. From great local recommendations of places to eat, to ensuring the wood fire was lit before we arrived. A lot of thoughtful touches in the cottage, including hot water bottles and toiletries. Highly recommend if you're passing through!

  • Great place, great ppl and great scenary.....my third time back and gets better every time

    Daire2020-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was great and had every you could want - milk coffee and fresh eggs were left in the kitchen area and the cottage was always warm. Annabel was very accomodating and communication was brilliant before and during my stay - would highly recommend to stay here if in the area or looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

    Daire2020-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to visit for Animal and nature lovers. Our family of 4 had the best time on the farm. Coziest log house and everything you’ll need to cook and keep yourself busy. Friendliest hosts! Annabel and Andrew spoilt us with eggs from their farm and even let us borrow their Wellies for the weekend. It is also lovely to see how well their animals are taken care of. Thank you for a wonderful time. We’ll definitely be back

    Elsabe2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Annabel’s place was perfect! It’s in a beautiful location in the country but close enough drive to town if you need anything. If you’re an animal lover like myself you will have no regrets staying here. The home is comfortable and clean and had everything we needed to cook dinner and breakfast. I miss it already and will definitely return my next time to Ireland. Thank you Annabel and Andrew!

    Lynsay2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Could not wish for a better getaway for a weekend. This stay is truely unique. The cabin was perfect and LOVED the tour of the animals. We particularly loved the little goats. Would love to come back to visit again.

    Mairead2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place! The cabin was so clean and super cozy, but of course the best part was Annabel taking us on the grand tour of the animal sanctuary. Take outdoor boots and plenty of apples and bananas for the lemurs and raccoons, and prepare to cuddle the most adorable baby goats. It's a surreal experience waking to the sound of howling wolves, and we can't wait to go back and do it again!!

    Kim2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place has it all: it's peaceful & quiet, some of the most beautiful views and above all a couple of great hosts. We had a wonderful time at Annabel and Andrews place, and the work they do to give all kinds of animals a good and loving home is admirable.

  • Ade and Frank's cottege is a real trinket on a hill overlooking a beautiful green valley. The interior is very functional and pleasant. The kitchen is well equipped with induction hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. Ade's reception was very accurate and friendly, available and attentive to our needs. We found so many good things at home for our breakfast and we were able to prepare our dinners by shopping in the supermarkets of the town that close late at 9 o'clock. The children while we relaxed drinking a beer and looking at the splendid panorama, they had fun to play with the nice Poppy lover of their cuddles. Nice living room.

  • The most amazing stay ever! The photos looked great but pixies Penthouse was even more amazing in real life! So spacious and such beautiful decor. Even wee touches like sensor lights which came on as we walked up the old stone steps to the door was just lovely. My wee boy had to come with us at the last minute unplanned and Louise and Claire couldn't have been nicer! They got a wee bed set up for him and even had colouring book and pencils on arrival and a wee kinder egg. Also lovely touch was the crisps and drinks etc. that were left out for us and even tea bags which was just perfect after a 5 hour drive! Honestly the most peaceful, beautiful setting that allowed us to totally escape from any pressures or stress and totally switch off. Was such a beautiful experience! Even that there was no formal check in and we arrived with key under the mat it felt so stress free and easy like a home from home. We didn't use the sauna because of the storm while we were there but had a nosey round the area and it looked beautiful! There also seems to be a wee bbq decking area which would be so lovely in summer. The day we checked out the storm was raging outside and we even got a message to tell us to take our time leaving and helped us find a safe way out while letting us know we could come back and wait for the storm to calm if the roads were too bad! Honestly such a perfect place to stay and such value for money too! Well worth the drive down, we will definitely be back!

  • Awesome place, the place is really beautiful ! The property looks 100% better than photos !! Its a little paradise! You will need your own transport to travel because it is in the countryside, away from the hustle and bustle, thats the main purpose ! We didnt get to meet the host but the check in was really smooth and easy ! The house is equiped with everything and they even prepared a basket full of chocolate and candies just to welcome us !Thankyou for the wonderful stay ! We will be back !!! Xoxo

  • Beautiful penthouse for two. There was anything we needed and if we needed something extra, Louise made it possible. And the sauna was really awesome. Thanks for this wonderful stay.

  • Stayed in pixies penthouse for a couple of nights over New Years - great communication before and during the stay, peaceful location, secure parking and the hot tub was an added bonus!

    Grant2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in pixie's penthouse was lovely. Everything looked so quirky and cosy when we arrived and there was a very convenient set up (enough cooking equipment, a good oven etc). The hot tub was a brilliant addition to our stay. Super comfortable bed, and a great tv and DVD selection. We would highly recommend it.

  • The place is not very big, but it's neat and lovely. I had the independence I was looking for but the hosts are next door, just in case you need it (like I did). Really closed to town. Lovely area. They're the best hosts I've ever had. Not only they took care of every detail, but they treat guests just like family. I totally recommend it and I have no doubt I'll come back next year.

    Michelle2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • An unforgettable experience! The house was really clean and cozy, and with a well equipped kitchen. We loved the breakfast (eggs from their own chickens), and the water from the well. It's really nice and quiet around the house. There is basically no light pollution, too - you can really see the stars at night if it's not too cloudy. It takes just about two minutes to drive to town from the location. There is plenty of space to park around the house and it was very easy to go in/out with the car. They have the cutest animals around the house - a couple of ponies, fluffy (chinese) chickens, and rabbits. We were lucky enough to get to play with them, and took some amazing photos! :) The hosts were extremely nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying with them and will most likely book again if we come back to the area.
