Patricia is a really great host, we were a bit sad, that we could only stay for a night, because of our scheduled trip. She is really good with hosts and a great company to talk with. She helped us with everything we needed. Patricia is a really professional host. First we had some trouble with the internet, but i think this is all fine (maybe it is because of our non-american phones...). We had a great time in Beacon. It is a very cute city. We wish to go back again to spend more time hiking and so.

She was very flexible with our uncertain arrival time, and gave us lots of great tips for exploring Beacon's locavore/craft beer scene (great town!). Her place is conveniently close to downtown. Patricia was a wonderful host-- very kind and attentive. The room looked exactly as it did in pictures, and it was very clean and cozy. Plus, the proximity to downtown can't be beat (it's a block away!) The neighbourhood is really nice and quiet. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower were nice amenities, and we appreciated that we had our own spare set of keys which made it easy for our schedule to come and go. One of our favorite parts from our trip was the delicious continental breakfast she prepared for us with tasty homemade jams and locally made cheeses. Patricia even drove us to the train stop when we were returning so we wouldn't have to wait around for a taxi to come get us. We had a wonderful experience, and highly recommend her.

Immaculate room just steps off Main Street, close to the train station and everything in Beacon. Aga was welcoming, kind, and full of suggestions. The room is brand new and has a private entrance.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights as part of a trip around New England. We thought that the house was gorgeous, and in a perfect location to explore all the main attractions in Beacon. The decor in the room was beautiful and both the bedroom and bathroom were immaculately clean, with an amazing array of products in the latter. Aga was unfortunately away during our stay but we loved her photos of Antarctica that line the walls! David was really friendly and even offered us some of his home grown tomatoes.

My husband and I were delighted to find the Antartica room at Aga's. The decor is very nice, the bed is very comfortable, it's impeccably clean and frankly, I wish I had as nice a bathroom at home. You can't beat the location! It's just off main street but far enough back from the traffic that our room was perfectly quiet. Aga is a very gracious host -- and a talented one. The photos of Antartica (hence the room's name) are by her.

Kelly and Tim's place was amazing. It's literally steps away from the trail head. The place is very clean and has everything one can possibly need. We got to the place a little late at night. It was a humid/rainy day. Kelly has explained to us exactly how to find the place and even offered to pick us up from the train station. When we walked in, it was heaven. They had kept the AC on for us so we can walk into humid-free, clean room with a little lighting in the corner. It was so clean and so nice. Moroccon brand shampoo/conditioner, bug repellent, plastic utencils

Great apartment. We stayed for a couple nights in June. Perfect location at the base of Mt Beacon. The first day we hiked a trail up the mountain. The trail is right around the corner from the apt. So convenient! Second day we explored the town. Walking distance to everything on Main St and a short cab ride to the art museum Dia Beacon. A wonderful little getaway from the city for great value. Would book again in a heartbeat.

Kelly's place was beautiful! The room was large and modern and she had provided us with everything we could possibly need for our stay. The amount of amenities provided were much more than we could have possibly expected. While we did not meet Kelly or her family during our stay, communication and check-in were easy. The location is right at the bottom of Mount Beacon which is great for hikers, but it is a little further from Main Street, though still walking distance. I would definitely recommend Kelly's place without hesitation!

I couldn't recommend Tim + Kelly's place more. It's exactly what you expect an airbnb should be: it's clean, so comfortable, close to fun things, and they allow dogs! Initially, we were going to leave super early on Friday to catch a museum but our pup was sick which postponed our plans. Tim + Kelly were incredibly understanding and accommodating. After a congested trip to NY, we found the room to be perfect. My husband kept commenting on how it was the perfect airbnb after two stressful days. They left us suggested things to do around Beacon as well as tick and flea repellent for hiking. We would absolutely stay there again and plan to!

Beautiful place to stay - super convenient to Main Street in Beacon - and steps from the base of Mt Beacon! The room itself was perfect - everything you need and a really nice space. Kelly was a very attentive and thoughtful host - she thought of everything - from non-toxic bug spray to towels for our dog after the rain.

We had such a great stay. We came in at night and didn't realize just how close we were staying to the actual trailhead. If your plan is to hike this spot is perfect. It's also a short drive to all the other destinations Beacon has to offer and Kelly is great to ask for recommendations. The room itself was modern, clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for 2 people and a small pup (who felt just as welcome).

Tim + Kelly's place was AMAZING. The space is exactly as pictured, even a little bigger than we expected. The room was well decorated and spacious with every amenity you would want to find in a hotel room. The bed was extremely comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. Tim and Kelly had some great recommendations that made our trip to Beacon even more wonderful. They clearly love hosting guests in their airbnb and it shows as every detail of the experience was considered.

What a great spot! We were here one night as we explored Beacon and Stormking nearby on our way up to Hudson. A few minutes walk from many awesome spots in downtown Beacon. Lots of character and a great neighborhood. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept on and the jacuzzi tub was amazing! Laryssa was a great host and communication was seamless. Definitely consider this spot if you are in the area.

Larysa's home is perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The room is exactly as listed, it even has a private entrance to a great patio area in the beautiful backyard. The room is incredibly clean, with exactly the right amount of space. It was a pleasure to send my parents to stay with Larysa for a weekend away and I hope to visit Beacon again soon. She is a kind host with lots of great tips for the area.

Fantastic! This was my second time staying at Branis' place and it was excellent. The location is PERFECT. You can walk all over town, and even walk up from the train! Highly recommend this place!

Branis was an outstanding host that I absolutely hope to stay with again! Her home is beautiful, incredibly clean and close to town, shopping and hiking. A group of 8 went up for a nice relaxing weekend in Cold Spring, taking the train from the city and walking to the house. There was no need for a car all weekend as food shopping, etc. were all close by. Branis also provided recommendations for kayaking, hiking and eating. We had a beautiful time and enjoyed the chance to cook at home and relax by the fire pit after our day's adventure.

Working with Branis through the reservation process and the stay was a dream. All questions were answered promptly and courteously. Our stay in this beautiful, spacious home was wonderful. It had everything we needed and then some! Being close enough to Main St to walk was such an added bonus for shopping and meals. We will absolutely stay here again when we return to the area!

We had 10 women on a girls' getaway to Cold Spring, and Branis's home was simply perfect. She is a wonderful host-- she met us, showed us around, and showed us how things work (heat/ac, the grill on the patio, where to find extra chairs, etc). We were so grateful to find a home in the heart of Cold Spring-- it made it easy that we didn't always have to hop in a car. It made things more relaxed that we could all walk to shops, cafes, restaurants, the train station, etc. The grocery store and liquor store are also about 1 minute walk away. Branis's home is very, very clean and had everything we needed for 10 people (places to gather, a table large enough for everyone, enough beds for everyone, etc). Thank you, Branis!

Branis could not have done more to make us feel at home. We were a group of 8 older adults from all over the country who came to the Hudson Valley for theater and history. Branis was always available for our host very ne d. Her home is beautiful with very comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen. It made an excellent base for our bi-annual reunion. Branis made sure it was a great five days!

The house was a perfect getaway from the city and I would really recommend it for a family, girls weekend, or a trip with friends. It's located right in the heart of Cold Spring, and near everything convenient- great restaurants, grocery stores, train station, etc. Branis was a lovely and inviting host and made us feel at home. Branis was a fantastic host with making herself accessible at any time. She and her husband were able to assist me and my friends with figuring out the tv/dvd player instantly. The house is in a perfect location, central to everything in the Village and having the supermarket so close made it great for last minute buys. The house and grounds are pristine and has everything you could need -- central air, pots/pans, grill, outdoor deck and wonderful porch. The beds are also extremely comfortable and it was the perfect place for us 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 2-4 years old). We all want to go back again very soon!

Chris and Penny are lovely hosts who have a lovely cozy house. They are very welcoming and friendly and the rooms are very clean and nice. It was also very nice to talk to them and they showed us the church.

Unfortunately we only had 1 night booked at Chris & Penny's place - their hospitality and the location certainly deserve more than just 1 night! Their place is a perfect starting point for hiking nearby Schunemunk Mountain or exploring the quaint and friendly little towns located within an easy driving distance away. We stayed with them a few days after a major snowstorm - can't wait to see the area once Spring and Fall come around! They were above and beyond nice and welcoming to us - offering all sorts of snacks, breakfast the next morning, and drinks galore. Stay with Chris & Penny, you'll definitely love it!

Chris and Penny were wonderful hosts. They were extremely friendly and thoughtful. They went out of their way to make my family feel welcome. They were understanding when we came in late on our first night, and they saved me a trip to the store to get milk for my toddler. They provided toiletries in case we forgot something, and a few snacks and water bottles, as well as a great bagel and fruit breakfast. Guests are given access to a refrigerator and a microwave. They also live in a quiet beautiful neighborhood that is still close to town and the train station. So much better than a hotel, such a great value!

It was my first Airbnb experience, and penny and chris totally exceeded my expectation, they were very warm and kind and welcomming, the place( 2 bed rooms and living room and bathroom) was very clean and comfortable, their home was located at beautiful mountain area close to storm king art center, in very quiet neighborhood. I would strongly recomend this place to anyone !!

Chris and Penny are such warm people and have a beautiful place. We had a whole floor to ourselves and everything was immaculate. They both went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome in their home, including offering us breakfast in the morning. They are perfectly located for visiting Storm King or Woodbury Commons (as we did) and I imagine it would be even more beautiful there in the summer. We would highly recommend their place to anyone thinking of staying in the area!

Great place! We loved our stay here. We were in town for a wedding. There were 4 of us plus a little one. Very nice and comfortable furnishings along with amazing hosts. We would definitely stop back in if we are ever back in this area of NY. Highly recommend!

Rachel's cottage is an ideal location from which to explore Beacon and its surroundings. Just a block off Main Street, but very quiet, it is clean, light, and airy, as pictured in the listing.

We arrived at the cottage during a snowstorm, only to see that Rachel had already shoveled the walkway to the cottage! A very thoughtful gesture, and the cottage itself was super cute, cozy, and warm which was essential during the cold nights. A great location, 15 mins. from DIA, right off Main St. a 10 min. walk to Quinn's and 20 min. to Dogwood, both great local bars. If you want to feel snuggled up while in Beacon, this is the perfect place to stay. Also, the mattress was incredibly comfortable. One suggestion: a dock for an iPhone to play tunes.

The little private cottage is incredibly cute, cozy, perfectly appointed, comfy, and immaculately clean. It's one small block's walk from the best part of main street. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. The hosts are simply wonderful. I can't imagine having anyone stay anywhere else in Beacon! I'll definitely be renting it again.

Rachel's cottage is SO lovely. Really a perfect place from which to visit the whole region. It has everything you might need, including privacy. Rachel is super helpful and responsive, but also happy to leave you to your own devices unless you ask for help. Highly recommended!!

The cottage is in a nice neighborhood off Main Street. It is well equipped and close to restaurants and bars. The only issue is that it became quite hot inside but thankfully there were ceiling fans and a small fan to help.

This cottage was so great for a weekend getaway! The space is beautifully decorated, cozy and I felt right at home! We had everything we needed and Rachel was a great host in offering recommendations and tips for getting around! We were also provided tea and coffee which was a nice touch. It was just my boyfriend and I, but the space could definitely accommodate 4 guests (would be great for a girls weekend getaway or something along the lines). I would definitely recommend this space and hope to return someday!

What a cute cottage! Minimally designed but we liked that. You have everything you need: a comfy bed, a nice bathroom, a pullout couch and a small kitchenette. You can enter and leave without disturbing the main house and the location is great -- just a few minutes from Main Street where there are lots of restaurants, cafes and shops. The main attraction for us was Dia:Beacon and that's a quick 15 minute walk downhill from the house. Perfect place for a weekend getaway. Rachel was also very thoughtful and turned the floodlights on for us so we could get back to the cottage safely at night. We didn't interact but stayed in touch over text messages.

The hosts are most friendly and helpful. The room is perfectly comfortable, clean and equipped with everything one could possibly need including a helpful binder with lots of information about potential adventures to take around Cold Spring. The house is located as convenient as it gets and still quiet enough to sleep like kings and queens.

I booked this place for the weekend because I just needed an easy place to land while running around Putnam County for my friend's bridal shower. Jimmy made everything super easy, the location was even better than expected (right off of Cold Spring's main street), and the room was comfortable. Couldn't ask for much more, really.

Jimmy and Rene were the best hosts I could have imagined. Jimmy helped with arranging outdoor activities and pointed me to the good restaurants. He even gave hints on where to find a nice but hidden beach to cool off at the end of my hike. The room was exactly as described, very quiet and bed was very comfortable. They even provided some bottles of water, which came in very handy on the first hot days of summer. Staying at Jimmy's was what I had in mind when I decided to spend some time at Cold Spring. I will definitely stay with them again when I'm there the next time.

This is a wonderful retreat! My partner and I are regular visitors to the Hudson Valley; Cold Spring, Hudson Rheincliff. This is one of our best experiences. Not only was the home well appointed, clean, local to all the amenities of Cold Spring, but our hosts, Jimmy and Rene, made a lasting impression on us. They greeted us, trusted us and lit a fire in the backyard so that we might relax outside in comfort on a chilly July night. The photos posted don't do the space justice. A lovely room, sparkling clean with all that you need: TWO private bathroom spaces, cable, wifi, bottles of water, clean towels and soaps, coffee machine, and a genuine desire by the hosts to make our visit special. We will definitely be back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. (Why spend twice as much to stay in a hotel room?)

Jimmy and Renne were awesome. Jimmy communicated with me back and forth, and when we couldn't check in at the agreed time, he gave us a gift certificate and offered to drive us around if we're in a hurry as a result. He made myself very available, but at the same time, gave us all the space we needed to enjoy and be on our own. You won't regret this room! :)

I had a fantastic stay at Bebe's house for the weekend with my boyfriend and a couple of friends. We took the train up for NYC and Bebe's description of the uphill walk from the train station to the house was accurate, but we had minimal bags so it was totally doable. The house was very convenient to Main Street (restaurants, shopping, activities etc), the dock for the Bannerman Castle tour, and Dia Museum - easily walkable to all. Would totally recommend staying here - great communication, easy, and welcoming home - wish I could go back every weekend!

The snug and cosy cottage is a classic turn of the 19th century small home, updated beautifully, with 21st century vibe and homey feel. Kitchen and bath are fully outfitted and functional, though our stay was too short to take full advantage. (We did take full advantage of the very comfortable beds.) Bebe made sure we had all the info needed on the house's systems, and was quick to reply to any questions or concerns. I’d agree that it’s not a house for small children, though if you have older, responsible children, I’d say it’s not out of the question. Just be aware that there is only one full bath; the downstairs bath is currently just a toilet in a closet, though a true half-bath makeover is in the planning stages. It's walkable to the train or Main St.; though if you aren't reasonably fit, you will become a bit out of breath on the uphills. If you need a very early breakfast before grabbing the train, it's a quick ride on I-84 E to Route 9 Fishkill, where there is a 24 hour Dunkin Donuts. If you have time for a more leisurely treat, then take advantage of the artisanal choices on Main St. instead, like Bank Square Coffee (closest) and Glazed Over Donuts. We'd definitely stay there again; it's the perfect home base for exploring Beacon.

We loved this cottage and will be booking again! The house, on a quiet street, backs directly onto a golf course and yet downtown Beacon is less than a ten minute walk. The interiors and furnishings are brand new and primo, we especially loved the open kitchen with a large gas range and a full Nespresso setup (all things we lack at home in Brooklyn). Bebe was a stellar host; check-in/out was a breeze and, during a big storm, when we briefly lost power she was in constant communication with us and the utility company, directing us to LED lanterns and candles. This is one of the nicest Airbnb's we've ever stayed in, you seriously cannot go wrong here.

We had a wonderful time staying at Bebe's house for a long weekend in Beacon! Great home base for exploring the town--about a 20 minute walk to Dia and the metro north station, a 10 minute walk to main street, and a 30 minute walk (or 7 minute drive) to the Mt. Beacon trail head. We had a car, but you could easily get by if you just came by train, as long as you're okay walking around a bit more. Highly recommend going to the farmer's market on sunday and cooking dinner in the lovely kitchen. We definitely made use of the grill and the nespresso machine as well! Bebe was very organized and communicative, and the place was very clean. Very easy stay, no hiccups!

This listing was absolutely gorgeous! I stayed at Bebe's home to get ready for my wedding at The Roundhouse which was only 5 minutes away. It was very conveniently located and in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The house was updated, clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were so comfortable and I felt so comfortable and well rested up until I left to get married! Bebe was very kind and easy to get in touch with and would email promptly. Beacon is an absolutely beautiful place and I look forward to returning to stay in this amazing home!

I cannot recommend this place enough. We were super close to the train station and right on Main Street, which meant we could fill up our bellies up on Mimosas for brunch and literally roll home, as well as get our fill of shopping without having to travel very far at all! Alex was an amazing host, very attentive, gave us a quick tour when we arrived of the apartment and helped us organize our hiking route which was very sweet. Thank you for being so wonderful - we hope to return very soon!

We had an excellent stay in Cold Spring. This is our second time booking Alex's place and on both occasions it's been clean, Alex has been a great host, and the apartment is excellent: centrally located, right off the train, and very cool.

Also, it's in the perfect location for a trip to Dia and to walk along Main Street and visit the galleries and shops. We're already talking about returning to Beacon in the future and definitely hope we'll be able to book David and Eleni's place again.

The apartment actually looks better in real life than in the pictures. It was simple yet had everything you would want for a short stay. David even ground up some fresh coffee granules for us. It was a 20 minute walk from the station, mostly because of the hill and well located - a very short walk to the main street. The weather was pretty bad on the second day and David even offered us a ride to Dia:Beacon. Lovely stay.

This delightful little studio is brand new, quiet, and yet close to all the goodies of downtown Beacon. There are some thoughtful touches such as yummy teas, natural/biodegradable soaps and shampoo, and a terrific guide book on local hikes and points of interest. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with my sister, exploring, and dropping out a bit. Terrific space!

We had a lovely stay at David and Eleni's house. It was very cozy and perfect for what we needed. We got an awesome restaurant recommendation for our Anniversary dinner (seriously -- go to Kitchen Sink omg). David brought us down some organic coffee for the morning. Everything was easy and comfortable. David and Eleni responded to all my questions in an incredibly timely manner. We had a great time.

Eli and Taly's was perfect for a weekend stay. The cottage was immaculate, the location was good and they are really nice people! Beacon is a lovely town, such a good choice for a getaway from the city.

Taly and Eli were extremely easy to communicate with and so sweet. The cottage was convenient and walking distance from the train, Main Street and Dia. They have amazing taste and the studio is decorated wonderfully. It was immaculate, bright, and comfortable. Highly recommended! We will definitely stay here again.

You literally have a detached cottage all to yourself, with a 12-cup coffee machine (for those who need to work during the day, like my husband) with coffee and sugar available for you to use, hot water boiler for tea (which they also provide), toaster oven, nice sized fridge, a tv with DVD player and an HDMI cable, and plenty of space for you and a companion. i don't know if they mention it, but there are two ceiling fans which kept us amazingly cool, in spite of the humidity... but if that's not enough, there's an A/C unit that, in spite of its size, will freeze you if you set it too high! The bathroom is also amazing - size, decor, function, perfect water temp... and the apartment is styled incredibly well! Put simply: you are taken care of. Eli and Taly are very welcoming and even answer questions about Beacon, from what to do to discussing what it's like to move and live here. Eli and Talys cottage is the perfect place for a getaway from the city. Everything was so clean and we had everything we needed. Communications was great. Loved their collection of movies too and having a quiet breakfast on the garden. Will be a great choice if we come back in Beacon again. Thank you

I was very happy with our stay. Monique went above and beyond our expectations. The house was beautiful, as it was in the pictures. I've also experienced many "continental breakfasts" and this was one of the best...fresh fruit salad, yogurts, berries, bagels and pastries. I also enjoyed the wine and assortment of cheese on Saturday night. I will definitely stay here another night!

While we ended up having to cancel this stay due to unforeseen circumstances, Rachel was a great to work with leading up to our stay and was very helpful with the lay of the land in the area. Hope to one day have the chance to stay here!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to cancel my reservation immediately after I booked it (the same day) and Rachel was very accommodating. Rachel was very welcoming and helpful. The house is even better than it is in the pictures, the backyard and the view is incredible.

Had a girls weekend up in the area and stayed at Rachel's. The view is LOVELY - we wish we got to enjoy it more. The house is located near vineyards and breweries which made it very easy for us. Rachel was very easy to communicate with and got back to you quickly if you had a question. Slept 6 people very comfortably.

Rachel was a wonderful hostess! The fire pit and chairs in the backyard are especially perfect...they are situated so that you can enjoy the beautiful view of the lake! There was a small row boat and a kayak available for us to enjoy as well... Beyond the house, Rachel was exceptional! We were at the house over the 4th of July and our dog ran away from the house, due to the fireworks. 14 hours of searching later, we were reunited with our dog and Rachel was incredibly generous and helpful with the search! Very grateful that we found a great lakehouse with an even greater owner!

This is a terrific house on a wonderful part of the lake. The lake is literally in your backyard. The master bedroom and living room have a beautiful view and Rachel was an awesome hostess. Highly recommended.

As a long time host, Andrew and Kat's place was fantastic for the Hudson Valley. The value was fantastic and restaurants were right around the corner. Communication was frequent and clear.

A convenient place for Newburgh Marina and DIA Beacon. The ferry doesn't run at the weekends but was easy enough to get to Beacon in a car.

Andrew and Kat were very sweet and helpful with getting settled. The guidebook they provided was great and helped us pick some fun things to do in the area. The actual space was so cute and cozy! It was the perfect size for my three friends and me. We all had such a good time. This space is highly recommended!

If you're staying in Newburgh this is where you want to be! It's a charming apartment with tons of attention to detail throughout. It's spacious enough for four people but still maintains a cozy feeling. We had fun exploring the unique vintage decor, eclectic artwork, plenty of books and so many other treasures. Check in was easy and the apartment was spotless when we arrived. We can't wait to visit again!!

We really lucked out staying at Ophra's and Marcel's place. The space was as wonderful as it was described in the listing. It was peaceful, clean, spacious, comfortable and decorated with interesting colora and textures. (My taste!) the bathroom was extraordinary! If you stay here, don't pass up taking a bath. After a very good night's sleep, a light and healthy breakfast was served- along with a thoughtful conversation about the environment and healing. This was a great kick-off for our vacation.

Ophra's home is outstanding! The location is great for exploring the many wonderful attractions of this region. A very quick drive into Beacon, Storm King and Cold Spring if you want to explore outside Newburgh. The bathroom is the highlight of this Airbnb and we only wish we'd stayed another night to get to use it once more. The views are fantastic and the enormous tub create a very relaxing atmosphere to return to. The bed is insanely comfortable and the small morning breakfast is just what we needed to start the day. Ophra and Marcel gave great recommendations while we were there for a hike and evening activities. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay. The only criticism was not getting an answer at the door on arrival. The hostess expected us to inform her of our ETA. That point was not communicated to me when I booked. I works have let her know if asked. However she did answer my message and gave the key location. Everything else was very satisfactory.

We we're lucky that is was going season. Ophra had lemon balm water, mint water and fresh greens from her garden. Beautiful view of the Hudson River valley.
