Places to stay in Cornwall-on-Hudson
Tuck away for peace in a quiet residential neighborhood located at the foot of the Mount Beacon, is our fully renovated 1966 cozy camper—a fifteen minute walk to Main st. The camper comes equipped with an electric fan during the summer months so you can stay cool in the cozy cocoon!
Located a five minute walk from Mount Beacon, spend the day hiking the Hudson Valley's famous trails or strolling along Beacon's Main Street while taking in shops, art galleries, bars, craft beer brew pubs, and restaurants. Retire for the night to the BEACON MOUNTAIN COCOON, a fully restored cozy 1966 Serro Scotty camper in all of its renovated glory, located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Pick up local meats from our nearby butcher and veggies from in-town markets, and enjoy preparing a wonderful dinner on one of our two grills. Crack open a bottle of local beer or wine and eat a delicious dinner in the Cocoon's dinette. After another look at Mount Beacon as the sun sets, you retire to the Queen ( it's the width of a queen but shorter. If you are more than 6'1" it will be tight) rear bed with quality linens equipped with extra blankets, an electric heater, and flannel sheets to ensure you stay warm. The mountain breeze will lull you to sleep in the silence broken only by the occasional owl 'hoot' or coyote howl in the distance. You awake to experience the sunrise with the finest coffee (or hot cocoa) prepared in your very own French coffee press and another day in a paradise you can't imagine is so close.
We live in a quiet residential neighborhood tucked away at the foot of the mountain.
  • Couldn’t have been cozier in the cocoon! Mike & Zoraida have set up a lovely space.

  • Very cute camper and Mike is a responsive host!

  • Great location for a night on our way through town. A little chilly, but such a cute space in a great location.

  • Such a great space and wonderful hosts!

  • Great place. Close to the mountain trails. Cool, quirky and clean.. a cozy little spot. Personally this is what I think is what air B and B is all about.

  • We had a pleasant stay upstate here, thanks again!

    Melissa2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Zoraida could not have been more warm and welcoming, they gave us a great suggestion for a restaurant, and shared freshly baked cheesecake with us! We had a great stay and wished we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the grill and the sweet little hammock. We sat outside under the full moon and let our city troubles fade away, then got nice and cozy in the camper and slept so well.

  • A dream. Charlotte was accommodating, responsive and kind. This space was everything my wife and I needed to not only get away, but also celebrate her 30th birthday. Clean, refreshing and majestic. The scenery is absolutely stunning and the space is necessary for anyone to unwind. I highly recommend it. You will not regret it.

    Eddie2020-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views perched up on a hill, very secluded great for a quick getaway from the NYC hustle, full chef's kitchen (nice range/oven). Probably best if you love horses/ animals, but nothing to be concerned about as they're very friendly.

    Tom2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous view from the hill and in great proximity to many great trails. Secluded but very convenient to get to downtown Beacon as well. Horses and donkeys are very cute and friendly, but best if you don't mind the smell as the house sits on top of the horse stalls.

    Peter2020-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • We spent two days at charlottes house. It was the most beautiful house ever, it is the perfect balance of luxury and rustic vibes. The house was clean and the host was a pleasure to deal with. The fridge was stocked with fresh fried eggs and butter in addition to other things. The small details made everything feel special. The horses and barn animals were adorable!

    Hannah2020-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible stay! Charlotte’s place is in a stunning location, is exceptionally comfortable and very stylish. The kitchen is really well equipped and the house had everything we needed for a peaceful retreat.

    Georgie2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable space in an attractive, natural setting with great views. Friendly horses and excellent nearby hiking make for a memorable experience.

    Sean2020-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay. The space is one of a kind. It is a both rustic-feeing and luxurious chalet built around and on top of a barn housing adorable donkeys and Icelandic horses. The occasional donkey braying during the night only brought us pleasure. The hot tub, sunsets, and breathtaking vistas were fantastic. The property is extremely secluded with great hikes in walking distance. The owners were prompt with any questions or requests we had. Would definitely recommend for a unique experience.

    David2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at this beautiful place was wonderful. We wanted to get away from the city and stay someplace remote, and this location was perfect. The magical forest at our doorstep was just right, and the views from every room were breathtaking. The animals in the barn are very friendly and it was such a treat to see them every morning. The host provided us with fresh eggs from the farm and it was wonderful! One thing I would call out is there is no indoor dining space so when it's cold outside you'll have to eat on the sofa.

Very private cottage located less than 2 blocks from Main Street. Walk to the train, DIA Beacon, and Main Street galleries and restaurants in minutes. entrance allows guests to come and go freely. Guests also have their own private patio area complete with Adirondack chairs. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. Need a private place to wait out covid19? We will consider longer term rentals for a discount. Our spot is perfect for quiet as well as walking distance to groceries.
Only a block and a half from Main Street and within easy walking distance to Metronorth, our cozy cottage makes for a perfect weekend retreat in fabulous Beacon, NY. The cottage is in our backyard, and while right in the middle of Beacon, is very private. The yard is fully fenced, and guests can come and go freely from a separate entrance. The cottage has a bathroom, kitchenette (with fridge, microwave, sink, crock pot and toaster), double bed, and a twin size daybed. There is a TV/DVD. We do not have cable, but have supplied the cottage with a nice collection of DVDs for guest use. And we have WiFi as of May 2020! The cottage is very light and airy, with lots of windows and a skylight. The bed is a new firm memory foam mattress. Memory Foam is different from box spring mattresses, and some folks take time to adjust to them. But for most, they are incredibly comfortable! The space is best for a solo traveler, couple, or for a small family. It cannot comfortably accommodate 3 adults. Beacon is only an hour and a half drive north of New York City, and an easy 80 minute ride on Metronorth's Hudson Line. Beacon is a fabulous little town with excellent shopping, museums (DIA Beacon), great restaurants and coffee shops, and even our own music venues! There is also incredible hiking in the area, including Mount Beacon & Breakneck Ridge. We are also only 20 minutes from Storm King Arts Center. The train and DIA Beacon are only a 10 minute walk from our house, and Main Street is literally around the corner, making our cottage a perfect retreat for a car-less NYC getaway. For those with cars, there is ample on-street parking. The cottage is fully heated, and can be rented year-round. We also have AC for hot summer nights, though we find the cottage cools down pretty substantially at night and is great for sleeping just with windows and fans.
Walk to DIA, restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, Long Dock Park and the River Park..... It is all a stones throw from our home.
  • The space was cozy and sweet. The host was very communicative and accommodating.

    Melanie2020-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • The space was as described. The location is great - right around the corner from the main part of Beacon. It’s a great quiet spot!

    Enayat2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • R’s place is a small self-contained cottage that is literally a min walk away from the Main Street Beacon and 20 mins walk away from the iconic Dia. Besides its rather hidden location which can be difficult to locate for check-ins, everything else is fine. I would recommend friends to stay.

    Sebastian2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient, quiet and clean.

    Caitlin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable, centric, and private cottage a couple minuets walk from Main Street. I’d easily recommend it to others visiting Beacon.

  • Beautiful house nice views. Kj and Emily where very nice to us with whatever we needed.

    Moshe2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • KJ and Emily's place was so beautiful! Excellent hosts! Great location, private, spacious, clean, and fun! The sound system was AMAZING! the hue lighting was so lovely. The hot tub is something we didn't get around to using this time around but we'll definitely be back again soon!! Thank you so much for everything!

    Natalie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Xavier Acres was an incredible place! KJ and Emily were great hosts, easily accessible, and answered any questions we had. The sound system in the house was awesome, and the hiking was out of this world. The hot tub with a view was a great way to relax!

    Zach2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I do not have enough words to express how wonderful our experience at KJ & Emily’s home was. The house is unbelievable, plenty of room for my group of 18. They have great amenities that they encourage you to use (including an amazing set of musical instruments that we did live karaoke with!) an incredible kitchen with plenty of supplies and tools, and a smart house-esque setup that allows you to control lights and music from your phone (we couldn’t get enough of the Hue lighting system!) we got a ton of use out of the hot tub that overlooks a beautiful Mountain View and the BBQ (even in the winter!). But what really sets our stay apart is the kindness of our hosts. Kj and Emily met me and my fiends to do a walkthrough of the home to make sure we knew how to work everything. KJ was my point of contact throughout the weekend and he was so quick to answer any of my questions which really put us at ease. If you’re hesitating to book this house, I’m here to tell you to do it! You will not regret it! Thanks KJ and Emily!! We hope to come back this summer!!

  • Great place great time

    Gerardo2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home, nestled in the mountains, and the view does not disappoint! Great for a group over a long weekend, with the hot tub, fire places, and sound system being huge bonus points. We were there for our wedding weekend, and it was great to have such a welcoming space for our family to unwind after all the festivities.

    Joe2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This house is awesome! Comfortably slept the 16 of us, and the hot tub/deck views are unreal. Highly recommend for large groups in the Hudson Valley!

    Glen2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had an absolutely amazing time at KJ and Emily’s! The pictures posted simply do not to the property justice. The view is breathtakingly beautiful and the surrounding area is peaceful and perfect for a weekend getaway with family or friends. Communication with KJ was so easy and he greeted me and my friends with such kindness and excitement for us. KJ and Emily really care about their guests having a wonderful experience and that is what separates them from any other AirBNB experience I have had in the past. My friends and I are already talking about booking again next summer!

Spacious cottage with private back yard with a cherry tree, walking distance from the train and Main street. The cottage also functions as a photo gallery for the photographer Gil Gofer, presenting several images from his work around the world.
The cottage has a beautiful bathroom, kitchenette (with fridge, toaster oven and a coffee maker), dining table, new queen size bed, desk area and a couch. There is internet access and a TV/DVD (no cable, but a collection of DVDs). The cottage is very bright and airy, with 2 ceiling fans and 6 windows. The cottage is best suitable for a couple, or for a couple with a baby (pack and play available upon request).
Mount beacon and several other hikes, Dia Beacon, coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, shops, the river all are within few minutes walk or drive.
  • Eli and Taly's cottage was perfect for our short getaway to Beacon! The space was exactly as described snd depicted. We utilized the appliances (electric kettle and toaster oven) and had plenty of room to stretch out. The space is plenty for one and comfortable for two. Windows let in lots of gorgeous natural light and fresh air. The space is a bit of a walk from the train station, but no longer than 20 minutes. It's also located pretty close to Main Street, so you're in a prime location for local eateries and shops. I believe I did most of the interfacing with Taly, but regardless communication was cordial, timely, and highly responsive. Accessing the cottage was a breeze, as was checking out. Overall I'd definitely book again for future travels to Beacon.

    Jasmine2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at the Cottage was absolutely perfect. It's a beautifully decorated place, with a comfortable bed and nice, big bathroom, and the location is great: on a quiet, safe street, walking distance to Main Street. Easy check-in and excellent communication. I hope to stay there again soon!

    Cynthia2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Sweet, quiet little home base in Beacon. Walking distance to a GREAT breakfast spot - The Beacon Daily, just two blocks away, highly recommend it! Check-in was easy, bed was comfy, plenty of space. If you're looking for antiques, we found the best places were over the river in Newburgh - just 15 minutes away.

    Jen2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Eli and Taly’s cottage is a modern intimate and quiet spot to take advantage of all Beacon has to offer. It was cozy on a chilly weekend, and in warmer climes probably a really short walk from Main St. The interior is modern, crisp and clean, and a great home base for Hudson adventures. Cant wait to visit again!

    Dashiell2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Another terrific stay at the Cottage. My husband and I are regular visitors to Beacon and the Cottage is our “go to” place to stay. Perfect location, super clean, great hosts plus a really relaxing and spacious home.

  • Cozy, clean, private cabin with plenty of space, fun artistic touches, and a beautiful bathroom. Easy check in and out and quick communication. Quick walk to Street. Would definitely stay again!

The mid-century interior has original plank floors, a period brick fireplace and vintage treasures throughout. It's a great place to unwind in after a long day exploring the Hudson Valley or enjoy a meal with guests. The City of Newburgh is an artsy, architecturally important, historic town that is currently in the midst of an urban revitalization. Please read more about the description of the neighborhood below.
Your Hudson Valley hideout is a perfect blend of old and new. With original 6” wood plank floors, period brick fireplace and vintage treasures throughout, it's a mid-century modern retreat for design lovers, in a town full of historic charm. Wake up the right way with a fix from our coffee bar – including fresh coffee - after a great night’s sleep in the bedrooms (a master with en suite and Queen bed; the other two with double and single beds and backyard views). The bedrooms feature a cool monochrome palette, the master bath is awash in luxe all-white tiles, while the sleek chef’s kitchen has a grey backsplash, breakfast bar and aged wood dining table (seating 6) - all flooded with natural light. Will it be a history tour or wine-tasting today? Gallery-hopping or hiking? Your choice. When it’s time to get cozy, there are retro games, free wi-fi and Netflix waiting for you. Sink into the couch in front of the fireplace (it's non-functional, but big candles add all the flickering light needed for a romantic night) and enjoy our home's laid-back designer style. This home made us fall in love with the Hudson Valley – we know it’ll do the same for our guests.
The home is located on a generally quiet street but keep in mind that while driving in and around town you will see a city in transition with some houses newly renovated, others in transition or in rough condition. Depending on guest expectations, generally they do and should feel safe in the home and surrounding area. If you have any questions regarding the changing neighborhood, don't hesitate to ask. • Perfect location! Very spacious loft. Amazing views of the mountains from the living room. One of the best places I have stayed at in Cold Spring.

    Brunson2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • I've been an Airbnb user since 2012 and this was easily the nicest place I've stayed at through the app. Stylish, clean, large and bright space in a really ideal location for New Yorkers who like to escape to the Hudson Valley for release, or anyone who happens to be passing through that part of New York and wants an authentic village experience.

    Justin2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Alex's place is probably the best Airbnb experience I've had so far—the place is not only beautiful, but it was clean & functional! Communication was great, the check-in instructions were clear & local tips/suggestions were so helpful. A wonderful place to stay if you're looking to enjoy a quiet getaway!

  • All we can say is wow- beautiful location overlooking the mountains and river, smack dab in the main thoroughfare surrounded by cute shops and cafés. The space was well appointed, modern in its sensibility, minimalist to perfection while still retaining a level of comfort and warmth. Very responsive and helpful hosts, easily one of our best vacations due in no small part to this magnificent home- worth a repeat visit!

Wake up to views of the Hudson River, and then have coffee on the balcony while enjoying the view. Take a stroll by the river, or head to Jones Farm - where you can see the free roaming chickens while eating brunch and picking up a pie or fresh apple cider donuts. A perfect home base for exploring the Hudson Valley. Take in the arts at Dia Beacon and Storm King art center. Go kayaking to Bannerman Island. Or if you want some retail therapy, check out the world famous Woodbury Common outlets.
This is a private apartment with its own entrance, in a two family house.
We are very close to the Hudson River. There are many fine restaurants in the area some have beautiful views of the Hudson and the rolling hills . We are fortunate because many of our restaurants are staffed by chefs that are culinary institute graduates ,the CIA is located not far from here. You will be able to walk the Newburgh Beacon bridge from the house or take a lovely jog down the road.

This quiet room with private entrance has views of the Hudson River and Highlands. Bird feeders and deer trail in back yard. Walk to nearby local eateries. Close to Woodbury Commons, hiking, art cinema, kayaking and ten minutes from West Point.
  • Jeanne's room has everything you need for a few days away from home. The bed is a pullout sofa which is very comfortable. The location is right outside the park which is very convenient. She supplied lots of towels and bath and body products. The microwave and refrigerator were nice to have. An overall good experience!

    Holly2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jeanne's place was clean and cozy. Very lovely views of the Hudson River and we saw a number of deer everywhere, even right by the window! We were attending a wedding at West Point and the Airbnb was by far a better option than what we found in town. Thanks for a lovely stay and your recommendations around town!

    Susanna2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Super location right on the Hudson with a short drive to West Point and plenty of restaurants. I wish I had found it sooner!

    Michelle2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Jeanne's. Her place is about three miles form the Storm King Art center and walkable to some area restaurants. Jeanne was quick to respond to any questions to clarify the arrangements. She had left some chocolate cookies out for us which were also a nice welcoming treat.

    Robin2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Jeanne’s space has everything you need for a short stay: comfortable bed & bathroom, mini fridge & microwave, and a desk area with a coffee maker. (There’s a TV as well, but we didn’t even turn it on.) The view is gorgeous from inside, and there’s a small outdoor table with chairs to enjoy it outside, too. A perfect space for two people!

    Sarah2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jeanne is a nice and responsive host. She is flexible with the check in and everything was smooth. The room is clean and neat and had everything we needed. The view from the room over Hudson River is really beautiful too. The area offers many activities such as hiking and kayaking and we really enjoyed our stay there! PS. The homemade cooking was very delicious!

    Sonny2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • The bed is a pull-out sofa with a pad on it. I found it perfectly comfortable (small framed lady) but a large person with back issues might not. What I most appreciated was the sense of SPACE and Jeanne's HOSPITALITY. The view is spectacular. Ample closest/drawer space; private entrance; easy access to an ironing board; huge desk with chairs... gourmet coffee and even a carton of cream in the fridge! Good water pressure in a very clean shower. I felt at home & thank you from the heart. ❤

    Therese2019-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Jeanne...You and your delightful place made my stay for a family matter much more pleasant and manageable. Great cookies!!

  • Had a great stay at Kim's place, I would definitely come back!

    Daniela2019-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kim's place is a great value and a solid place to stay before/after using the airport. Be ready though, you're highly integrated into the household and won't really have any privacy. If you're the kind of person who's down for that kind of immersion, then definitely stay with Kim. If you're looking for a quiet isolated place, I then I'd recommend somewhere else. It worked well for me because I enjoy sharing space and peeking into people's shtick.

    Jonathan2019-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Kim was super friendly and her daughter was so cute and friendly. Very very very convenient if flying from or to Stewart International Airport. Would stay again if ever travelling through SWF

    Maddie2019-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Kim is a great host and her property is very conveniently located for people departing from or arriving at Stewart Airport. She was very kind and dropped me off to the airport in the morning, and also asked me to join her family for dinner while I was there. I'd definitely recommend her place!

    Vivan2018-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great! Kim was very nice, picked me up when I arrived and was very welcoming! Accommodations were comfortable, and walking distance from Stewart Airport.

Tiny 650 sf cabin Within 15 miles of West Point and Woodbury Commons Beaver Dam Lake usage for fishing and boating. Many nearby hiking trails. Walking distance to NYC train station. Within 8 mile drive to Newburgh waterfront on Hudson River.
Everything about this cabin is small. This includes downstairs bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. It’s not a cream puff, but it has its own charm.
Rural development is good for walking, and biking. Small park on dead end road opposite cabin.
  • Great place - as described charming little cabin. I would definitely rent again!

  • My friend and I enjoyed such a wonderful stay at this charming cabin, and we credit Lou's exceptional hospitality for much of our experience. As a host, Lou was incredibly responsive and did all within his power to ensure that we had a positive experience; he went above and beyond the call of host duty, even if it meant going out of his way! As for the cabin, the views and fresh air were incredible and the house was spotless and perfectly simple, just what we needed for a long weekend outside the city.

    Kimiko2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lou is such a nice host. He showed us the cabin very thoroughly when we arrived and prepared us a nice cabin with coffee, tea, clean towels and even toothbrushes and floss. The cabin is small, charming and cozy. The sun room was very bright and warm, perfect for having breakfast. Surrounded by beautiful scenery but not isolated, we felt very comfortable. We have all we need to enjoy a weekend getaway. Thanks Lou for sharing your home. We will definitively return in the future.

    Yannick2020-01-19T00:00:00Z

Contemporary, comfortable guest suite with private entrance in Hudson River view home. Close to historic West Point with hiking, biking, skiing, golf, kayaking, Storm King Art Center all within minutes.
Ground floor guest suite with private bath and entrance.
Cornwall on Hudson is a quaint riverside village with fun dining spots, great river access, and plenty of hiking trails.
  • My fiance and I stayed here for two nights while visiting West Point. It's a very fun space, with a bedroom, kitchenette, rec area, private bath. It is nicely decorated with thoughtful details. This was my first air bnb experience and so the fact that the suite is completely private and has its own entrance was really appreciated. Though we didn't get to meet our hosts (they were away) Michael and Kristin kept in touch, checked in with messages to see that could get in ok, and were readily available by phone and email in case of problems (there weren't any). The suite was very clean. The bed was more comfortable than my own, so I had a hard time leaving. I wish we had more time to spend here - it's conveniently located for exploring Storm King. We would definitely stay again.

    Angela2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wow!! Loved this place and Mike was so cool. He even lent us a map and recommended an incredible hike that we did and were so grateful for the rec. (the hike started from their front door btw) would love to come back here. Top notch.

  • Michael and Kristen’s place was wonderfully located and spectacularly clean. Their house is beautiful and the suite is nicely renovated. We visited Storm King Art Center and it was less than a 10 minute drive from their place. The TV with the home theatre was also fantastic. Good food, CVS and anything else you might need is also nearby. Overall great weekend getaway and we would love to come back.

    Madeline2019-11-24T00:00:00Z

  • We loved this apartment in the heart of Cornwall! It was perfect for our stay and loved that it was dog friendly as our dogs come with us everywhere we go. The space is actually much bigger than I had thought it would be. Laurie had cookies and wine waiting for us. She really tried to make our stay as nice as possible. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was big and if you wanted to cook dinner she had everything you needed. It is a great spot for people looking to escape the city and head up to Cornwall. We will be back!

    Jesse2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is adorable and perfect for a quick getaway from the city. The Airbnb is greatly located and was very clean. Laurie is also a very sweet host. She greeted us with fresh baked cookies and I found two mini champagne bottles in the fridge for my birthday!! Overall a great experience and I definitely recommend you stay here!!

    Vanessa2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This little gem was perfectly located near everything we wanted to do in the area on our short stay (Storm King, Motorcycle museum, waterfront dining, new craft beer joint). The apartment was immaculately clean and sweet, with thoughtful touches throughout (variety of tea and coffee available, Prosecco and water in the fridge, freshly-baked cookies, toiletries, good wifi, etc.). Bed is very comfy, lots of hot water, and Laurie epitomizes everything one could want in a host - welcoming, accommodating, knowledgeable, and charming. She suggested Captain Jake's for dinner, and our meal was delicious. Lovely, lovely stay and we'll be back! Thanks so much, Laurie!

    Allison2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Laurie is an amazing host. She went above and beyond and helped me find a kennel for my dog. She also left some yummy cookies for me. The place is perfect for a visit when I go see my cadet at West Point. Cutest town too! I always check this place first when looking. Laurie is wonderful and makes my stay great.

    Jania2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • There is a reason why Laurie is a super host. When I walked in there was a welcome sign for me, 2 bottles of Prosecco in the fridge, fresh and delicious cookies and greenies for our pup as well as a full water bowl. She is so thoughtful and wants you to have the best stay. It’s right down the street from Storm King and many other wonderful places in the area - so a perfect location. We would definitely recommend to others venturing out to Hudson Valley!

There are window ACs located in the Screening Room, Map Room, Woodlands Room, 80s Room and Loft. Currently, the Film Noir Room doesn’t have AC due to the casement windows, but each bedroom is equipped with a box fan for the window and the rooms get quite cool in the evenings! Q: Is the place professionally cleaned between guests? A: Yes, and we take pride in providing a clean home for guests. Q: What is that sound when I flush the toilet or run water in the 1st floor bathroom? A: The beautiful, brand-new bathroom on the 1st floor runs on a pump system (the only way to add a ground-level bath in this 1850s home!) As a result, please make sure to only put toilet paper in the toilet. All other objects (tampons, q-tips, tissues, wet-wipes, paper towels etc...MUST be thrown away in the trash. Any pump clogs due to flushed will be billed to the guest.) Q: Should I include children when entering the size of my party? A: Yes. And please enter infants as "children" and NOT "infants" if Airbnb gives you the option to specify (this seems to only pop up for some users). The party size needs to be registered with our insurance company and children definitely count as people to insurance. Also, please understand that all listed "extra person" charges are a function of the increased cost to insure larger parties, including children and infants. Q: I am looking for a last-minute stay. Can I make a same-day booking? A: If you're looking for a same-day booking and the place is free, please inquire and we'll try! It depends on whether our cleaning crew can accommodate last minute, which isn't a sure thing. For same-day bookings, check-in may also have to be later than the listed time in order to make sure the place is ready. Still, can't hurt to ask! Q: What's my total booking price? A: With fees included, Airbnb only shows the guest, and not the host, the total cost. This figure should be present after you enter your dates. Note that, pricing varies on a daily basis, and Airbnb uses their own algorithm to adjust it automatically, so we don't control it.

  • Really enjoyed staying at Sparrow House. Cute house with a lot of charm. Loved the kitchen and yard.

  • Our group of 9 guests had a great time. Highlights were playing music, watching films, a bonfire, hike up Mt. Beacon, cooking, and just catching up with friends in a fun, creative, scenic setting. The house was perfect and Sarah was an excellent host.

  • Memorable week at the Sparrow house priceless family time! We had a tremendous pleasure of hosting our Thanksgiving week at the Sparrow house. We combine business with pleasure by commuting to local New York businesses and tied in family to join us for our Thanksgiving dinner. We love the charm of the house and the sense of humor of the light switches. The rooms were comfortable and allowed us to fit our family easily. We were thrilled at how well the house was stocked with cooking supplies, allowing us who are traveling to easily cook a Thanksgiving meal. Plenty of room to eat and hang out. The views were tremendous. We took advantage of the media room and watched movies as a large group. Sarah our hostess had a extremely detailed welcome guide and provided numerous recommendations of how to enjoy the house and the surrounding area. Rave reviews from the family old to young.  A perfect setting for a family gathering.

  • Sparrow House was a wonderful weekend getaway! Plenty of space to hang out inside and a huge back yard that our kids loved! Very convenient to Cornwall and close to Storm King Arts Center. Beautiful location right on the Hudson, and remote enough to feel secluded while still quite close to NYC. Sarah was very responsive and provided all of our needs for the weekend (soap/shampoo/towels/blankets/etc). Recommended!!

    Joseph2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s home is a perfect place for large gatherings of family and or friends. The kitchen is large, and very well equipped with dishes, cooking tools and appliances. We had a great birthday party with 10 guests, with plenty of room for multiple cooks. The view of the Hudson and mountains greeted us each morning. The yard is well maintained and lovely. Sarah is very prompt to respond to questions or concerns. The home has many amenities, with multiple movie options, including an extensive private collection, as well as Netflix and rental options. The home is decorated thoughtfully: We enjoyed discovering hidden treasures throughout our stay including books, unique antiques, and interesting artwork. Sparrow House is a treasure.

  • The perfect place for a weekend getaway. Cozy, spacious room, and very warm and hospitable hosts. Would stay with John and his wife again in a heartbeat.

    Jonathan2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Prompt communication. Easy check in. Friendly dogs. Great location to the main part of the village. Coffee (and tea and sugar, honey and creamer), fresh water and mini fridge in the room. I didn’t have a car, and therefore walked all over. It was a delightful stay.

    Reid2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • John's place was fabulous. The dogs are lovely, the home is beautiful, and centrally located. We had a wonderful time! Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.

  • This is a terrific space full of charm. And, their two furry friends (Ollie and Penny) were great too. John and his wife are great hosts, very nice and friendly. The space is clean and very quaint. We love the Cold Springs area and we loved John's space as well. He and his wife a very nice hosts!

    Chris2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Kind & generous hosts, lovely location & home. We were very happy with our stay!

    Stephanie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I came in from the city on the Metro North Railroad, and John’s place is about a 10-15min walk from the Cold Spring station. They were incredibly accommodating and allowed me to check in early and drop my bag before going out on a hike. I was welcomed by their two adorable dogs, and my own dog was able to join them for a quick runaround in their fenced-in backyard. John was very helpful in advising my hiking route, as the trail starts just up the road from their house. Once I returned from my hike, I was able to settle in to the CUTEST room and make use of the small tea/coffee station provided. The bathroom is simple, but the soaps in the shower were exactly what I needed after a day in the woods. There are many shops and restaurants within about a 10 minute walking distance, where I was able to pick up some delicious dinner. I didn’t even plan on watching TV at John’s place, but I was pleasantly surprised to find they had B1G network on the room’s TV, and I watched the Michigan vs. Rutgers basketball game before heading to bed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room’s radiators headed up quite nicely to make for a cozy night. I’m so thankful John recommended Hudson Hil’s for brunch. They have a covered patio with heaters, and they were able to accommodate me and my dog (even in February!) for a perfect brunch before I headed back down to NYC. I would absolutely stay at John’s again in the future. It was the perfect escape from the city that I needed!

    Reilley2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • John's place was a quiet, peaceful escape from the city. John and Charlotte are hospitable, kind and did everything to ensure that I was comfortable. They also shared all of their knowledge about Cold Spring and surrounding areas which was so helpful during the 5 days that I was there. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Historical apt circa 1865 along the foothills of the Hudson River. 15 minutes from West Point, an hour from GWB. Exciting and quiet get-away steps from the Hudson River. Nearby points of interest: local river parks, apple farms, wineries, Storm King Arts Center. Local hiking: Appalachian Trail, Storm King, Black Rock Forest Reserve, Bear Mountain, and skiing at West Point.
I purchased the historical home in early 00's. It was a lot of sweat and tears, but finally available for all to enjoy. Please respect my home as if it were yours, I want my guests to experience what I did when I came to the Hudson Valley.
Cornwall on Hudson is a quaint Hudson River town with shops, restaurants and parks only short distance from house, walk or drive. Local supermarket, convenience mart, church, Hudson views.
  • Very nice, comfortable place in a great location. Clean and well appointed. Rob is very responsive. Definitely a tight driveway but unless you are driving a full sized pickup or SUV, it shouldn’t be a problem. We were visiting our son at West Point and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future.

    Michael2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little home, perfectly located for exploring Hudson Valley and Stormking. Very comfortable with everything you might need for a short stay and river views from the bedroom. Super responsive host.

  • So convenient to West Point! Visited my nephew during Family Weekend. If you are looking for a quiet AirBnB in a great location, this is it!

    Sharon2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The super-cozy apartment had absolutely everything we could have needed for the perfect weekend getaway. It was clean, well-organized, and was found in an ideal location for exploring the area. Thank you for an awesome weekend!

    Kevin2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely wonderful weekend staying at Rob's place! It is a lovely one bedroom apartment with so many thoughtful touches that really made it feel like home: coffee & tea, games, lovely toiletries and much more. Easy walk to the Hudson River and breathtaking views. It's also a quick walk to the center of town with great restaurants. Rob was a joy to communicate with; he was quick to answer, help, provide recommendations for the area, and just make sure that we were having a good time. We went to a restaurant he recommended and ended up having one of the best meals of all time. He was a top-notch host and we had a great weekend!

    Gina2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We chose Rob’s place for our weekend in Beacon, NY. The drive was no more than 25min to downtown Beacon and was cheaper than other options in the area. Overall, our stay was comfortable, everything worked properly, and Rob even stocked some groceries for us. The only difficulty was the narrow driveway, but nothing unmanageable for our sedan. Would recommend for sure!

    Jono2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place: comfortable, clean, and cozy. Rob was communicative and informative, and I have no doubt that if I had had any concerns, he would have addressed them. The bed was nice and the neighborhood quiet. I would stay again in a heartbeat. One warning is that the driveway is VERY narrow with a brick wall on one side. If you have a wider than average car you would not have been able to park. Also, the parking lot is super tight with other cars. If you were traveling with any kind of trailer (such as a bike trailer), you would have been unable to turn around and would have been really stuck. Rob says in the welcome letter that there is alternative parking up the street and I didn’t need it, so I didn’t see it. But there would be people who would object to this arrangement. But this is my only concern. Otherwise, I would recommend this apartment without reservation.

    Jack2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a great two-night stay at Rob's place! It's a very cozy space, with a comfortable bed, sofa, lovely bathroom, and well-resourced kitchen. Had all the amenities you could want! For folks concerned about the relatively narrow driveway - it is narrow, but we managed to get an SUV in and out throughout our stay with no problems (you just need to be careful when pulling in). The location is great - very close to the water, a short drive from Beacon, Cold Spring, Bear Mountain, etc. Thanks, Rob!

Private bedroom and bathroom in beautiful town home. I mostly live on the main floor with occasional use of the loft if I have to print something. Bright, airy, open concept, vaulted ceilings, skylight. Just beautiful! Guests share kitchen, laundry, deck, living room. There's a pool in the complex. The unit is very quiet, private, and surrounded by nature, trees and shrubs. It's an oasis! 10 minutes from Mount Saint Mary College, 15 mins from Woodbury Commons and only 12.5 miles from West Point!
Quiet, beautiful community with pool. Very close to restaurants, grocery stores, hiking, the Woodbury Common outlet stores, close to I-84, the NYS Thruway, Newburgh Waterfront, Mount Saint Mary College, and West Point.
It is a beautiful, wooded, well maintained complex. Most of the people who live here have lived here for 10-30 years. It is serene, safe, quiet, and peaceful.
  • Second time around staying with Kerry. She offers a clean and cozy environment with plenty of privacy. It’s also located in a very safe and beautiful residential neighborhood. She’s an amazing host. You won’t regret booking with her.

  • It delighted us to stay in this comfortable, quiet, private bedroom with our own bathroom. We needed a place that provided easy, quick access to West Point and Kerry’s wooded oasis filled the bill perfectly. During our four-day stay, we traveled quickly and easily to and from the Academy each day. We had complete access to the kitchen, and the nearby stores, eateries, and coffee shop provided everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant Kerry recommended. Our first Airbnb experience provided a fantastic value, exactly as advertised.

    Michael2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Kerry’s place is absolutely impeccable. Decorated tastefully with personal touches makes it feel like home away from home. Kerry made sure there was plenty of room for us to settle in the kitchen and the house overall. With ample linens and towels, staying at Kerry’s never felt short of staying at home. Kerry goes the extra mile and will make sure you are comfortable. Her recommendations in the area were amazing and the place is equally comfortable for a day in to binge watch or catch up on shows. We ended up extending our stay and were lucky enough that Kerry had the capacity and welcomed us to stay another week last minute - which we are super grateful for! :) Truly an amazing experience and will recommend to anyone thinking of visiting the vicinity.

    Jalees2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kerry’s place was an amazing and very comfortable experience. It truly felt like home. We felt like friends/family, and there was everything to make our stay smooth and worry-free. It was very clean, and their dog is the best friend to have around! Along with the indisputable favorite, Kerry and Rob are also amazing to talk to and get to know. Highly recommend!

  • Kerry is a fantastic host and the bedroom provides a ton of privacy. Her house is so clean and well decorated and really makes you feel at home. • Kerry was very helpful in giving us tips and ideas for things to do/places to go in the area. The bedroom and bathroom were beautiful, pristine and had lots of nice touches including water, snacks, coffee and tea. Absolutely loved the patio and meeting Poco!! Welcome to Newburgh. Our 2nd floor apartment on Benkard has just been fully renovated. It can be rented as a 1 or 2 bedroom with plenty of amenities and just 2 blocks from the main drag of Liberty St. We love to use this space as a retreat from Brooklyn regularly. Newburgh is known for its racially diverse population and you can appreciate this on our block, with long time residents and newly settled artists.
The shops on Liberty, waterfront and ferry are a short walk. There are plenty of places to eat and galleries to visit while you are here, we will leave a list of our favorites for you. You probably will drive here, if so don’t forget to hit the farms, vineyards and breweries.
  • Me and my partner had a wonderful stay in Rob's place. It is a little oasis with great furniture, a stylish and functional kitchen and comfortable bed in a large bedroom. If you dont know Newburgh definitely do a little research on it before your stay, and you will love it!

I highly recommend his place and will look him up next time we are here.

We never drove more than 10 minutes to any of our local destinations. This included our kayaking host and our hiking destination. Phyllis provides everything you need/expect and plenty of nice touches. We actually read one of the books available and ate the snacks she provided. There's no kitchen but we knew that bc the listing makes it clear. All in all, a wonderful weekend.

Victorian house built in 1900 renovated with original details and decorated with luxurious, modern day charm. This studio apt has a private entrance and easy access to the wraparound porch with unrivaled views of the Hudson River. Newburgh is a very beautiful and charming historic town in an upswing after years of economic hardship. Please scroll down to read more about the description of the neighborhood below.
There are 4 additional apartments in the building that can be rented for a larger party.
Heights House’s place is located in Newburgh, New York, United States. Newburgh is an up and coming historic town that is in the midst of overcoming years of decline. It has beautiful old architecture and is filled with fascinating history dating back to George Washington and the Revolutionary War. There are wonderful new restaurants, shops and museums nearby as well as hiking and biking excursions. The town still has evidence of harder times and may be shocking to some folks, but it is very safe and crime levels are low now. Our immediate street along the river is generally quiet but keep in mind that while driving in and around town you will see a town in transition with some houses newly renovated, such as ours, and others that are still in a rough condition. If you don't have experience with neighborhoods that are changing, please inquiry for further information. Most of our guests should and do feel perfectly comfortable in Newburgh but depending on your expectations, we are happy to answer specific questions. Unfortunately we cannot accept cancellations upon arrival so please be sure to do your research.
  • I love the space, the view, the park across the street, easy parking, great communication and helpfulness from the host- overall a very nice spot to stay. It’s private enough yet close enough to get to everything one might need.

  • Beautifully dedicated home with cozy fixtures. Wrap-around porch with great view of the river and valley. Very close to Beacon, NY. Would recommend!

  • Amazing views, stylish decor, super responsive hosts - we will be back. The City or Newburgh is a gem and Heights House is too.

    Megan2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute and clean - exactly as pictured. The view is very romantic even in dreary winter. The host was very accommodating and responsive - super kind and professional. As a carless city dweller I was worried about Newburgh vs Beacon but there is easy walkable brunch/coffee/bars & we took lyfts to Dia & hiking trails. A bit chilly in winter despite blasting the heat but it is a victorian & there were extra wool blankets and throws and tea to get cozy. only qualm - seconding the sulfur bathroom odor. overall good experience & good value 👌

    Rachel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Heights House was beautiful! We loved the stylish space, the apartment had lots of character with modern updates. Super clean and a nice place to crash after a day of hiking Storm King Mountain.

    Deanna2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is so cute, newly renovated, and super clean. The hosts were easy to communicate with and gave clear instructions. The location is on the river but I recommend having a car, as the neighborhood is not the best. Thanks for having us!

    Megan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely space on the Hudson nestled in the incredible old architecture of Newburgh. Close to a major commercial corridor but (cafes, restaurants, grocery) but far enough away to be quiet and serene.

    Nate2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Such a relaxing and quiet getaway. The studio is lovely, stylish, sparkling clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook and hangout. We also appreciated the great river view and open green space for our dog across the street. Would definitely love to stay here again.

  • Christina’s place was exactly what I was looking for. Christina was very hospitable with very quick responses. I travel for work and needed a convient, clean place to work remotely from as well as relax after a long day. Right on Main St in Beacon, minutes from 84 and RT 9, this apartment was perfect. I recommend this place for anyone looking to explore Beacon/Dutchess County and for those traveling for work.

    Leah2020-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Christina's place is in a great location, within walking distance of most Beacon's bars and restaurants and only about a mile from the Metro North station. The place is clean, stocked with amenities, and even has it's own Netflix login. I would highly recommend staying here if visiting Beacon.

We love being a short walk from everything! Take a Kayak on the Hudson and explore Constitution Marsh or the ruins of Bannerman Castle. Take in historic sights like Boscobel mansion and the West Point Foundry Preserve. Stroll along main street and enjoy the charming village of Cold Spring, with its quaint shops and dining.
  • This is the cutest space and in the perfect location for Cold Spring. You'll be at the door 5 minutes after exiting the train. I loved all the attention to detail from the keyless entry, to the incredible bed linens, to the beautifully designed bathroom. It was better than I imagined and that's a great feeling to walk away with. Thanks for sharing your beautiful space with us!

    Philip2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Loved their place! Right next to the train station and downtown, a short walk to a number of trailheads, and a stunning vinyl collection :-) I would definitely stay here again.

    Janos2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Erika’s apartment. The location is right in the middle of town within a block of Cold Spring’s shops and restaurants.

    Jamie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Don't waste your time looking for a different place to stay if you are in Cold Spring for a few days. This place is top notch for: convenience, cleanliness, coziness and charm. We will hopefully be back soon and will recommend for anyone visiting Cold Spring!

    MK&Carlos2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Erika's place is pretty amazing. A short walk from the train station and steps from Main Street which has loads of bars, shops and restaurants. The apartment is well thought out and very comfortable. Also, if you're a jazz fan, they have an unbelievable jazz record collection and turntable. We really enjoyed that. Thanks Erika!

    Pierre2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Place was very clean, tidy, and spacious.

    Jeong Hyun2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was a beautiful space. Great location in town, allowed us to go hiking during the days and stroll through the city at nights. This had great privacy and really felt like we had our own place in Cold Spring for 2 nights. We loved our experience.

    Dennis2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Erika's suite is now our favorite city getaway in Cold Spring! Perfect for two people and couldn't be more convenient to the Metro North station and everything the town has to offer. There were many thoughtful little touches throughout that made it extra special - we especially appreciated the white noise machine and amazing memory foam mattress, both of which made getting out of bed nearly impossible. =) You won't regret a stay here and will want to come back again and again.

Very quiet private neighborhood with convenient parking for 1 vehicle.
  • Dean was an excellent host! He greeted us right away and showed us around the place so we felt at home. Everything was exactly as pictured and as expected! The entire experience was effortless from beginning to end thanks to Dean’s thoughtfulness. Would definitely return!

  • Dean’s place is great and very spacious!! Great views. We stayed for just a short time but felt very comfortable. A good spot to go and get out of the city, have fun, rest, etc :))

    Saylor2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had a lovely stay at Dean's place for New Years Eve. Great location and not too far from NYC.

    William2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a hidden gem. The location is gorgeous, on bluff overlooking the Hudson River. It is about halfway between Beacon and Cold Springs, two warm friendly towns. Most importantly, this is easy walking distance (under a mile) to the train station and hiking trails. The pictures don't do the house justice!!! While the decor is not new, it is painstakingly maintained and the house was spotless. Dean (and his wife) were great, accommodating and helpful hosts. We can't recommend them highly enough!

    William2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • An excellent stay with lots of room, stunning views to the river and trails nearby, highly recommended!

    Anssi2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place! The view of the river was outstanding, and the proximity to Beacon (about 4 miles) and hiking can’t be beat. The place was far more spacious than we expected, and incredibly quiet. Dean was an incredibly thoughtful host, who was there if you needed. We found the space extremely private and filled with all the amenities one could ever need.

    Ali2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great clean and cozy apartment with a wonderful view!! Dean offered helpful local recommendations and great communication throughout our entire booking experience. It was really a treat to have a warm home, filled with every amenity you could need, to come back to after hiking and exploring all that the area has to offer. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!!

Stylishly renovated 1890 Rowhouse in Newburgh's up-and-coming Washington Heights District. Enjoy your morning coffee with views of the Hudson River and Mountains. Just 75 minutes from NYC, this home is a short drive to the Newburgh Waterfront and Liberty Street's hip new shops and restaurants such as Ms. Fairfax, The Flour Shop, Liberty Street Bistro, Mama Roux, The Newburgh Brewery, and more. Close proximity to the Beacon Ferry and a short drive to the Beacon train station.
The space is a cozy 2nd floor apartment with views of the Hudson River and surrounding mountains. This 19th century Rowhouse boasts many original details such as original restored wide plank floors, yet updated with modern charm. The street is quiet with Hudson River and Mountain Views and is just a short drive away from many tourists attractions such as Beacon, DIA Beacon, area hiking trails, kayaking, West Point (22 minutes), Storm King Art Center, Woodbury Common Outlets, and more. Newburgh is a beautiful, historic city that is in the midst of a Renaissance. Please read more about the area in the neighborhood section below.
Newburgh is experiencing a Renaissance after many years of economic decline. The architectural details are gorgeous and the area is filled with history, as seen by George Washington’s Headquarters just down the street! There are new hip shops and restaurants in the immediate area with more coming in the next couple of years. While driving around town, it is noticeable that there are store fronts, buildings and homes undergoing renovation on nearly every block. Our renovated home is situated on a quiet street with families living in the surrounding homes. They are very nice and keep to themselves. There is a large mix of homes in the area that are renovated, homes undergoing renovations and houses that are still in quite rough condition that you will notice driving into town. Homes that are in rough condition could be alarming to some. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! We will not accept cancellations upon arrival.
  • This space is absolutely beautiful. Amazing lighting throughout, spotless, and gorgeous style with thought put into every room. I really loved the full kitchen and that they provided a coffee grinder as well as some really nice coffee. Just a really wonderful find all around.

Privacy, very quiet neighborhood, small but cozy with a bed free from geopathic stress-line, gifts a healthy sound sleep and stay. Guests mentioned: rustic handcrafted place with unique features. W side of the Hudson River, N of West Point, close to Storm King, DIA, FDR's library, CIA; a real BnB (I live here); the only that is organic oriented, as much as possible. Arts, Historic sites, self helped breakfast, fresh baked bread @ choice, sound sleep. PS I also speak Português, Español & Deutsch.
All carpentry and general installation was done by myself, thus unique and not perfect. The house, which is also my residence, albeit built in the 50s, has been retrofitted to be as much green as possible but some parts were still kept in the original, like the tiles on the bathroom floor (there are some scratches or cracks but that isn't dirt, please!). It has the domestic hot water heated by a solar system and the sun also generates electricity to the whole house making it, averaging the year, self sufficient in terms of electricity. Extra attention has been given to thermal insulation as well. The bed is equipped with certified asthma mattress cover & allergy pillows. There is a steam iron available which is meant to be used to wrinkled apparel; please ask for instructions. Thank you! The bedroom and bathroom are independent and guest's exclusive rooms separated from the kitchen/living (also guest's exclusive) room which, btw, for insurance reasons, is not supplied with utensils to cook; just to prepare or warm up quick and simple meals in the small convection oven or microwave besides to be used for the self-service style breakfast. A refrigerator is part of the kitchen's appliances besides the coffee grinder and percolator. There are organic coffee ground/beans in sealed jars to be ground at your will and taste as well as all the goodies (most organic) in the refrigerator.
With a quiet neighborhood and the bed's location in a free geopathic stress-line, a healthy and unstressed sleep is a strong part of a real relaxed stay at the Queendom without the price of a rehab...
  • Uwe's place is comfortable and quiet. The wood decor is one of a kind. It is a great place to get away from the hustle of our modern world. You can write or read a book while quietly listening to music. And best of all the next morning you get another rare treat; fresh baked bread and the feeling you are in a different country during simpler times. It is a pleasure to stay here and I hope to do so again. Thank you.

Charming renovated cottage on the Hudson River located in scenic Cornwall on Hudson. Enjoy beautiful Hudson River views form your covered Trex front porch, perfect for sitting in your favorite chair and enjoying the view. Built in 1870, this darling three bedroom, two bathroom, 1250 sq.ft. home does have a narrow and steep staircase from the period it was built. We provide earplugs for those who are sensitive to the train across the street. The train adds charachter to the home.
Our Hudson Valley cottage has been renovated inside and out. This is quintessential small town America. Small village with quaint restaurants and picturesque views. Complete with the allure of trains passing by with the Mighty Hudson as a backdrop. Never fear, the train is no different than living on a main street thoroughfare where the whirring quickly becomes the "norm". Since it is a freight line, the passings vary from frequent to infrequent, we hope you won't let this stop you from visiting this quaint village and enjoying our belove space.
  • Wow, you can't get better then this. Great location and views. Quick responses and lots of information regarding local spots. My rustic home is located four miles north of Beacon, NY, with seasonal views of the Hudson River. The home is on 2+ acres of land. It is quiet, peaceful and private. I'm a woodturner (Rooster Studios on Etsy) and work at home. I have 2 bedrooms, each with King beds and great sheets. This listing is for 1 bedroom with a shared bathroom. The other listing is for a private bathroom. If you have a pet, please see my listing for 2 bedrooms, which allows pets.
This listing is not good for those who can't get up and down stairs easily because the bedroom is on the second floor and the shared bathroom is on the first floor. I just ripped up the carpeting on the stairs to refinish. No odor or dust yet. I'll update the listing when I enter that phase. Right now I'm pulling out all the embedded carpet nails. No worries for your feet. :) just want to set appropriate expectations.
I live in a small enclave of former summer homes one mile north of the Hamlet of Chelsea. It's 4 miles north of Beacon. Easy walk to the Hudson River but there are no shops or restaurants near by.
  • Jennifer’s place is the perfect example of “home away from home”. My girlfriend and I stayed there for an entire week, and it was absolutely magical. She is the most amazing person, the room was always clean and smelled good, the heated bed was great & the bathroom feels so homey as well. Will definitely be returning again!

  • Jennifer’s place is beautiful and quiet. She’s a talented artist and a great conversationalist. The home is cozy and clean. The property is very nice. The heated blankets and soft sheets on the bed were amazing. King beds are very rare on Airbnb so we appreciated that. Jennifer’s hospitality was so warm and genuine. The Inn at The Garrison is part of the lovely country property The Garrison, in a spectacular setting overlooking the Hudson River and surrounding highlands. Our 4 inn rooms (separate listings on AirBNB) have king beds, private bathrooms with showers, WiFi, TVs, coffee / tea set-up, mini-fridge with complimentary fruit, yogurt, water and granola bars. Our Valley Restaurant and bar is open for dinner Thu - Sat, and lunch on Sat + Sun. Our 18-hole golf course is open from April - November.
The hamlet of Garrison is in the center of the area known as the Hudson Highlands, a 10-mile stretch of the Hudson River where it flows through the Appalachian mountains. The landscape and views are breathtakingly beautiful. Garrison has low levels of development, hilly topography, and lots of land under conservation easement - an unusually rural and idyllic area so close to New York City. There is an abundance of parkland & hiking trails (the Appalachian Trail passes near The Garrison). There are many nearby attractions (art, design, historical, gardens, nature..), including Dia:Beacon, Manitoga, Boscobel, the summertime Shakespeare Festival, Magazzino Italian Art, Storm King Art Center, Stonecrop Garden, West Point Military Museum, & Constitution Marsh to name a few.
  • Great stay and Great Location !

    Manley2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at The Inn was so much better than expected. The pictures and description are truly accurate but it’s what you can’t see that made our stay more than 5 stars. Starting with the nice ladies servicing the room every morning after we left with clean towels and k-cups, to the great tasting food and exceptional people who work the restaurant and bar located on site. I’ve visited the Hudson Valley 5 times in the past year and The Inn is by far my most favorite place. I sure hope it’s available the next time are in the area. Thank you, Chip!

  • The Garrison is such a lovely place. We arrived when the leaves were turning and the whole place felt like being inside a painting. The room is big and has everything you need for a comfortable stay, the bed is huge and extra comfy. Waking up to the view of the Hudson was also very special. I definitely recommend staying here!

  • This Airbnb was simply delightful. A tremendous amount of hospitality and beauty packed into a small space. Quiet too! We would love to come back.

  • We’ve enjoyed our stay at the Inn. Space was sparkling clean, bed was huge and it’s only one flight up. Upon booking you could see Chips recommendations for the area, that helped us a lot to explore the surrounding area and enjoy our stay here.
