Places to stay in Coeymans
Due to pandemic and government business restrictions we are only accepting long term guests. Stunning, hand crafted yurt made on property. This secluded, colorful gem is like no other experience. Be a part of nature with the comforts of a hotel! Tucked away in the foothills of the Catskills, our organic farm has miles of hiking trails and mountain bike paths to explore! We also have many friendly ducks, goats, peacocks, chickens, donkeys, a horse and a cow guests can interact with.
Very remote feel! Hundreds of acres at the end of a dead end road. Located only 15 miles from Albany, city life and great restaurants are only a short drive. The Catskill mountains and Thatcher stare park are also close by.
  • My boyfriend and I loved this place. It was a nice little get away and we were even given firewood to have a campfire outside. Bring everything you think you’ll need, including lights or candles. I did ask what I should bring before made the trip out there but didn’t get a response, unfortunately all the battery operated candles in the yurt were completely dead so we had no light but made the best of it! Place is exactly how it was listed, and we truly had a wonderful time. Good location as well, close to numerous beautiful state parks and hikes. Thanks Jason!

  • Beautiful scenery, perfect place for an escape in nature.

  • Book this place!! Incredibly beautiful and cozy environment. The farm staff was very friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back!

  • Jason’s place was fantastic! It was in a beautiful, perfect location - not too far from the city, but enough to get away and feel secluded and connected to nature. The yurt is very warm with the heater and it didn’t hurt that we went around a mild time. Naturally, there was still a lot of snow and ice on the ground during our visit; my low-horsepower car got stuck, twice (but Jason was very quick to help) - but it didn’t hurt too badly! It is overall a very cute place with cute farm animals just a short walk away from the yurt to boot. My girlfriend and I want to visit again in the summer. We had a lovely experience.

  • We had a lovely stay and a magical experience! The farm is amazing even in the winter. It was cold but the mighty little heater warmed us up right away. We really appreciate all the thoughtfulness in hosting and letting us feed the animals. We’re sure this will be a life long wonderful memory for our daughter and ourselves. We are so happy we found this listing. The yurt was clean upon arrival, bed was incredibly comfortable, Jason was very responsive and was a pleasure to meet. We can’t wait to come back in Spring!

  • Quite a whimsical place. It was great for us to stay the night and spend a night under the stars.

    Niamh2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cute and comfy! Highly recommend!

    Hayley2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a stellar stay! I loved meeting the cows and Rudy the pig. The yurt was surprisingly warm even on a a 30 degree day. The bed was soft and I had a wonderful nights sleep. The yurt was clean, smelled fresh and the heater was the perfect temperature. The hosts were communicative and we found the place no problem with step by step directions with pictures. I would absolutely love to stay here again!

Enjoy our home in the village of Castleton. Easy drive to: East Greenbush, Rensselaer, Albany, Troy. Watch wildlife in the yard via dining room's big beautiful windows. A cozy shared living room w/ couch & fireplace. We're around but also respect privacy if desired. We enjoy company so let us know if you want to share dinner or an evening of board games! Important notes: no WiFi here, and as of 10/5/19 we have an infant in the house.
The Lavender Room has a trundle bed that can be converted between two twins or one King sized bed. Please let us know your preference to set up either way. 1.5 bath across the hall, only shared because it contains washer/dryer (and we need those sometimes too!). Bedroom door locks from the inside.
Castleton-on-Hudson is a quiet little village on the Hudson River, about 10 minutes south of Rensselaer and Albany. At present, two local eateries (The Hill and Cherrybrook Cafe) within walking distance, and also the Castleton Public Library. Our home is in a developed area, but there's not too much traffic -- so walks and biking around are enjoyable.
  • Super nice hosts.

  • A perfect stay for our trip to some art museums! Aimee and Ben were very kind and easy to communicate with, and their home is lovely. Would definitely stay again.

  • Friendly place

    Kim2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Aimee and Ben were extremely kind and nice. The room was sweet and beds were comfy, the shower was super strong and hot. Loved it all. For last minute bookings like ours, realize the house is not where expected but behind the stated street. I didn't have access to my AB&B account so we felt lost but once we got on AB&B, we found it. We loved it out in the country: quiet, fresh air, trees... Castleton-on-the-Hudson is a beautiful small village, and a short walk to the sparkling Hudson River. Thanks Ben and Aimee!

    Paula2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely one night stay with Aimee and Ben on our drive home from the East Coast. It was not too far off the freeway so the location worked really well for us. We took them up on their offer to make us dinner and had a delightful meal with them. They were very gracious hosts.

    Nancy2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Aimee and Ben were extremely nice hosts. They even offered us to join them for dinner. The place is clean and spacious. Ben is a creator of card games, I bought one (omen peak) and already played it with my friends. All of us think it's a lot of fun to play. In conclusion: they go the extra mile for their hosts. Apart from the place this is what makes this a superhost location.

Welcome to my home in Selkirk just 10 minutes outside of Albany and 45 minutes south of Saratoga race track. Comfortable queen memory foam mattress in a large bedroom. I have some basic breakfast items available for free in addition to coffee, tea and water. Please know you will be sharing the space with my three cuddly Pomeranian and chihuahua mix pups. Note that I do smoke in the house and the guests are welcome to do so as well. Free WiFi available.
I am in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood.
  • Very nice and accommodating. Very helpful and polite. The house was amazing I would definitely recommend. Thank you again Fred

  • Staying at Fred's was an absolute pleasure. Fred is great and so is his place.

    Kevin2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fred is the consummate host! Great conversation, great welcoming committee (the pups) and a relaxing atmosphere. I get to house after work at about 11:20 pm and am welcome with chicken parmigiana, pasta with clams, or some other extravagant snack. His 3 Pomeranian/ chihuahua dogs are a delight. I wake up to the smell of coffee and eggs with home fries and bacon. I would recommend his hospitality to anyone. I have built a great friendship with Fred and can’t thank him enough 👍💙🌈

    Robert2019-02-09T00:00:00Z

    Michael2018-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely recommend staying here! Fred was a wonderful host and extremely welcoming. He's a fantastic cook and also a fantastic pool player! The house is beautiful, the bed extremely comfortable, the hot tub delightful, the company very enjoyable--everything you can hope for in a truly great airbnb experience. As a bonus, there's an adorable welcoming committee of tiny, delightful pups! If we find ourselves back in the area, we will absolutely stay with Fred again!

    Jenny2018-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Fred was a kind, attentive, and gracious host. He was very hospitable and generous, offering to share a meal he had prepared, which I accepted- it was delicious. He has some breakfast items, water, iced tea and coffee free of charge. I was in town to see a concert and he even offered to take me into town and showed me some sights on the way. As far as the house is concerned the bedroom has a remarkably comfortable queen, two dressers and a full closet with plenty of room to spare. The shower had unbelievable pressure and plenty of hot water. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful- I felt right at home. His dogs were adorable and loved some lap time. I would definitely stay with Fred again.

Charming 1850’s colonial in the quiet and historic hamlet of New Baltimore with sweeping 180-degree Hudson River views. Truly surrounded by nature and disconnected from city-life, this spacious two bedroom, two-and-a-half bath with multiple fireplaces is perfect for a romantic getaway or a relaxing vacation. Two hours from NYC and 20 mins from Albany and Catskill. Great Hudson Valley jump off point to Catskills hiking and kayaking, Saratoga spas and Hudson vintage shopping.
The perfect place to relax and detach in the picturesque Hudson River Valley.
Located on the Hudson River, the hamlet of New Baltimore is a small and quiet town full of outdoor activities. There are various hiking trails such as the Hannacroix Creek Preserve Trail and the Long View Park Trail, in addition to the town's very own kayaking launch site located in Cornell Park right on the Hudson River. For the best waterfront dining experience during Spring and Summer, head over to the Boathouse Grille. Yanni's Too is also right on the river, and the perfect option for year-round casual dining. Want to venture out further? The town of Hudson is only 30 minutes away, and so are the Catskill mountains.
  • The location on the Hudson River was beautiful. The sunrises are great and will probably be even better in the spring and summer. One reviewer mentioned not having enough kitchen supplies, but we did not find that to be the case. We had everything we needed. The deck is even better than the pictures show. Basic supermarket about 8 mins away but bigger stores about an extra 20 mins. Overall would recommend.

  • Great place, great space and stay. Desiree was super helpful and responsive. 10/10

    Jose2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Desiree’s place is in a nice Hudson River hamlet. Wonderful walking trails nearby and it is fun to walk around the historic community.

    Deborah2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Desiree's lovely home is a wonderful mix of historic architectural features and modern amenities. My sister and I really appreciated how clean and spacious the home was. The home has a very serene vibe, and we enjoyed taking advantage of the fireplace with the lovely-smelling wood left by the owner. In terms of personal preferences, my sister and I would have preferred a tv downstairs for movie-viewing, rather than a projector in the upstairs bedroom. We could not take advantage of the lovely outdoor furniture on the deck due to the weather, and would have liked a bit more cozy furniture options in the family room instead, to leisurely enjoy the fire, have a glass of wine, and read/talk/watch a movie.

My home is an 1880 Second Empire style Victorian house in the center of a small hamlet on the east side of the Hudson River. There are views of the Schodack Island Park from the cozy upstairs guest bedroom. Close to that room on the second floor is another small bedroom, a bathroom, and a room with weights and mats that serves as a fitness room. If its nice outside, there is an epic wraparound porch to shelter your relaxation.
It's a great opportunity to stay in a Victorian home with many furnishings from the era. The house was originally built for the owner of an ice house, as harvesting ice was major industry along the Hudson River in the late 19th century...Most of the original flooring, moldings, and hardware remain in house... I think you may enjoy staying here if you appreciate local watercolors, 19th century furniture, and political history.
A quiet scenic spot, in a true backwater location of Upstate NY---Yet only 15 minutes from downtown Albany, 22 minutes from the hip meccas of Hudson and Chatham, and only 13 minutes from quaint, historic Kinderhook! There is a State Park minutes away too. Great cycling and kayaking environments right outside the door. Route 9J is not very busy. Occasional Amtrak train will pass by down the embankment, but not very loud. Many bald eagles and blue heron populate the area.
  • Great spot

  • Tom is a very gracious host and goes out of his way to see to your needs. I loved his home and decorating style, it is a beautiful Victorian home with period furnishing in a very quite location, which I needed as I was there for work. I highly recommend a stay if your visiting the area. Tom is very knowledgeable of the area and is willing to help you navigate your way around.

  • I was so glad to have found Tom’s place to stay! Beautiful old house, wonderful quiet location close to the main routes.. Tom made me feel right at home and I was able to putter around as needed! Spacious second floor was private and comfy. Tom is a history buff and the antiques, maps, and artwork show it.

    Jennifer2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first ever Air B&B experience. Tom was very accommodating with us from the beginning. He worked with us for the late check in time. He showed us around the house and gave us some history about the house. We talked about local places to eat and grab a drink. He made us feel at home. If you’re in the area don’t pass up this place!! Beautiful house with a lot of history in it!

Our home was established in 1900, on the Hudson river. The front porch is perfect for boat watching, dreamy naps & the moon rise is a beauty. Our little hamlet is surrounded by cool destinations. Hudson,Olana,Woodstock & Catskill Point wedding venue.
Your bedroom is on the second floor of our home, just next to the bathroom. You will find a comfy full-sized bed, plenty of storage and cozy terrycloth bath robes. We are a working household, still getting up to go to work in the morning.
Our home sits on the West Bank of the Hudson River in the historic district of New Baltimore. We overlook the Shady Harbor Marina, a walk down the hill to the Boathouse Grille Restaurant. Take a hike to the waterfalls on the Interpretive trail. Antiques, farm markets, and all the leaf peeping you can handle. A short walk Cornell Park where you can put your feet or kayak in the Hudson River.

  • This place is definitely worth staying. Really nice place and awesome hosts. We reached late at the place but Wendy was awake late to welcome us and make sure we have everything we need. Thank you Wendy and Charlie.

    Vikram2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem! Wendy and Charley are the most thoroughly thoughtful hosts. Their home is a lovely mix of eclectic antiques and fun furnishings. The room and bathroom are charming, and reflect the sweet personality of the hosts. From the in room Kuerig and snacks to the luxurious soaps and shampoos you will feel comfortable and pampered! The view of the Hudson from the front porch is marvelous, a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. There are several good places to eat nearby too, but the location of the home is quiet and relaxing.

Their hospitality and attention to every detail made this a destination we would look forward to visiting again. The atmosphere is casual, warm and most inviting. They are sincere and attentive hosts. We were made to feel at home in every way and can recommend this location without qualification.

  • Theresa was a such a lovely host, and the home was charming and immaculate when we arrived. She would always respond to texts extremely quickly, and was a lovely person to chat with. This place is only 2hrs from NYC if you to have a little day-trip, and only about 20ish minutes from Albany aswell.

    Keith2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • My husband, dog and I stayed for 3 weeks (Mid-november to early December) in this cozy house. It was the perfect place to stay as we wait for our new house. Needless to say, it was a winter wonderland. We had a strong snow storm while we were there. Terry was quick to plow the driveway and made sure that we were safe and able to move our cars. Terry’s hospitality is amazing. She honestly cares for her guests to be comfortable. In addition, she has a welcoming, charming and generous personality. We will miss her. The place is located 20 minutes from Albany, NY. And conveniently near a nice supermarket, CVS, gas station, diners and ATM (around 2 minutes away). The area is safe and quiet. Terry runs a grooming business after 11 am, but you won’t even notice it. In Summer, the area must be gorgeous for outdoor activities because it is close to the Catskills. We are planning to return and enjoy the outdoors and Terry’s hospitality.

This is a romantic and sensual open floor plan 2-bedroom apartment in a guesthouse on a 15 acre property. The lower apartment is another guest space that can be rented in conjunction, if so desired. This apartment has been designed in an eclectic style featuring vintage, antique and modern furniture and accessories. Enjoy a private back porch, access to a large lawn and a shared sunset-view platform! The guesthouse is set back from the road and has lovely western Catskill Mountain views.
The neighborhood is very rural with a horse farm, dairy farm and Samascott Orchards close by. The Hudson River is a beautiful bike-ride away and walks alongside the River evoke a pre-civilization landscape. For those seeking culture: Seven car minutes away from the farm you can visit the Jack Shainman Gallery in Kinderhook. The friendly village of Kinderhook offers quite a few historic mansions and old farm houses, like Martin van Buren's (8th President of the USA) "Lindenwald", the Van Alen House and the Vanderpoel House. Further away you find Olana, Clairmont and the Thomas Cole house. Historic Hudson is 20 minutes away and offers fine dining, galleries and vintage/antique shopping. Art Omi is in the vicinity as well with many culture and art events. Kinderhook has a Restaurant for foodies: "The Flammerie", with a "Biergarten" featuring Bavarian specialties among other things . And there is a lovely wine bar in an old townhouse called "Dyad". Down at the Hudson River is a Mexican restaurant called "Pico Di Gallo" with good food and friendly service. During the summer every Saturday morning you find a farmer's market in the main square of Kinderhook.
  • This is a beautiful place that has been carefully designed with attention to detail and color. The apartment has a wonderful flow, is flooded with light and has impressive Western views. We were amazed how layered the design was and how well the eclectic and unique mix of antique and vintage furniture and accessories was put together. The location feels private yet is conveniently close to historic Kinderhook, Hudson, Art Omi, the river etc.. Barbara was a graceful host and readily available when needed. We truly had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!! Barbara and Markus

  • It is a beautiful space and she did such a great job of decorating it.

    Jai2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • The location is beautiful and quaint. The design of the interior is beautiful.

    Marialisa2019-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara’s space was so aesthetically pleasing, so well decorated, and so refreshingly separate from the busy city while still close to cultural sites in Hudson (about 20 minutes). We stayed for three nights and made use of the kitchen (which has all the tools you’d need, including standard spices) and wonderfully decorated bathroom. The Wifi works well, and there are several interesting books around the apartment as well — keep in mind, there’s no TV, if that’s important to you! We absolutely didn’t mind and didn’t miss the TV. Overall we would absolutely go back, it was lovely and detached and unexpected.

  • Beautiful brand new home. Very quiet private setting.

    William2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a 2 bedroom place with a living room, gas fireplace, couch, kitchen, and bathroom. There is enough stuff around that it seems like someone is here often. The beds were fine -covered in plastic, an understandable precaution, sheets were clean and blankets available. The heat was turned up very high when we arrived but we were able to alter it on the thermostat. It is simple, not too far from the highway, and is a new build as people mentioned. I'm not sure why the stickers are still on the windows, etc, but it wasn't an issue. I think it was a perfect pit stop.

Leave the rest of the world behind in my private 12 acre ranch house with bucolic views. Quiet & peaceful. Spacious. Light filled. Picture window nature views. Berkshires sunrise and Catskills Sunset. Culinary equipped. Indoor deep soak tub. Star gazing fire pit. Heated swimming pool (May 15-September 25). Organic herb garden. Country roads leading you to Hudson (20 min away), Rhinebeck, Old Chatham, Catskills, Albany, Niagara Falls, NYC and more....
Hudson Valley extends 150 miles above the tip of Manhattan. Designated as a National Heritage Area, the valley is steeped in history, natural beauty, culture and a burgeoning food and farmer’s market scene. Among many attributes, it’s the oldest wine producing area in the country, and the magnificent scenery inspired artists whose works became the Hudson River School of Painters. Lonely Planet describes the Hudson River Valley as “a real city break, with leafy drives, wineries and plenty of farm-to-table foodie options.” National Geographic Traveler named the Hudson Valley one of the top 20 must-see destinations in the world. PLACES TO EXPLORE IN COLUMBIA COUNTY, NY A visit to Columbia County can be as relaxing or stimulating as one desires. There is culture, history, recreation, antiques and unique boutiques, farm markets and u-pick orchards; bike trails and even a zip line adventure park. For art lovers, galleries, studios and an open air sculpture garden showcasing artists’ works from around the world. The architectural masterpiece, Olana, the home of Hudson River School artist, Frederic Church, and the Martin Van Buren National Historic Site anchor Columbia County’s many heritage sites. Miles of country roads take you through expansive breathtaking vistas where one can leave the city behind and embrace the countryside either by car or bike. Along the way, stop and visit one of the many tasting rooms on the Artisanal Beverage Trail. Year round theater performances, concerts and seasonal summer stock musicals and dance offer entertainment for all ages. CATSKILLS Small towns in the Catskills may be connected by country roads, but they retain an individual character. They each have pride in their hamlet. Between these villages, you’ll find rustic-hip farmers making cider from New York’s famous apples, quaint curiosity shops, religious communes, and the spirit of the artisan at every turn. That isn’t to ignore the main reason people move here: the incredibly beautiful landscape. The Catskills are a small but beautiful mountain range that offers skiing, hiking, rafting, streamside campsites, and some of the country’s best fishing. There is no shortage of memorable restaurants and hotels, and the best of which display the excellent local products of the region. Each one of these tiny towns has a central business district to stroll. Some might be as simple as two storefronts, others are a few blocks long. They each capture the wild spirit of the mountains. In the Catskills, the Bohemian Ethos of the 1960s has aged well.

Cozy, character-filled house combines completely new kitchen and baths with old-fashioned charm. In a lovely, peaceful, historic village. Fireplace, some antique furnishings, some Art Nouveau decor, equipped kitchen. Private back yard. Short walk to village square's farmers' market and restaurants. Close to outdoor recreation: hiking trails, rivers, lakes, ski areas, orchards, farmsteads, Hudson valley attractions and historic sites. Town of Hudson's Amtrak station is a 20-minute drive away.
First floor: Living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, 3/4 bath. Second floor: 2 bedrooms, a full bath. Back yard: deck with table & chairs, raspberries, currants, flower beds. Yard is not fenced, but screened with hedges.
The house is in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by more green, open space than many others in the village, as there's a little park directly across the street. The village center is an easy walk from the house and has 4 restaurants: the excellent "Flammerie," serving dinner only; "Broad Street Bagels," serving breakfast and lunch; "Dyad," a wine bar serving lunch and dinner; and the newly-opened Saisonnier, featuring artisan sandwiches, specialty cheeses, charcuterie, and craft beers, wines and ciders. Kinderhook is home of the Old School Art Gallery, which has gained an international reputation, and Martin Van Buren National Historic site, which includes woodland walking trails. The town of Hudson's many unique stores, restaurants, and events is a 20-minute drive away.
  • We had a lovely stay at this charming and quirky house in Kinderhook. The location can't be beat, within walking distance to the village and right across the street from what will soon be a fantastic, refurbished trail. There are plenty of local activities and it was great to come back to an updated, welcoming house. Great Hudson Valley find!

    Sarah2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The house is well-situated and you feel like you're in a world of your own. Loved it!

  • We abslutely loved the old charm and decoration of the house and the newly renovated bathrooms and kitchen. There are nooks and crannies everywhere with plenty of sconces and electrical outlets. A perfect place for those who appreciate an antique house with modern amenities, in the delightful village setting of Kinderhook close to the great orchards of Samascots and Golden Harvest.

    Natalie2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This charming house in Kinderhook is a fantastic place to stay! The beds are comfortable, the showers are great, and the kitchen is fantastic! This historic house has been renovated beautifully - staying here feels like stepping back in time. Barbara and William communicate well and quickly! Kinderhook is delightful, with charming cafes and a touch of history, and it is an easy drive to Chatham (including the Mac-Haydn Theatre) and Valatie. This was my second stay at this home and I would book again in heartbeat!

    Lori Brandt2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in Kinderhook... a short walk to the center of the little town and also right near the Samascot orchard. Beautiful old house with a private, quiet and green back yard.

    Evan2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very quirky, very cool place in a great location. We liked it so much we're coming back in August. Barbara is great (though we haven't actually met her). Responses to request\inquiries were quick. She always added some personal sentiment to her messages which made it seem like something more than just contacting an Airbnb host.

    William2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! This house is a gem! Very clean, with lovely decor that includes some fun & unique touches, and comfortable furnishings. Cozy and relaxing. The backyard is a green oasis. I also enjoyed exploring the super-charming village, with its restaurants and historic sites only a short walk from the house. I will definitely be coming back to stay in this relaxing area and sweet house! Highly recommend this stay.

  • We had a great three-night stay at Stuyvesant House with our two dogs. It’s a beautiful house in a beautiful location. We especially loved the extremely comfortable king sized bed, the awesome kitchen, the shower, and the proximity to plenty of great (and non-crowded) hiking trails. Highly recommend!

    Carly2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place to visit. The Stuyvesant House is a beautifully redesigned farmhouse with a clean, airy mix of rustic and modern. All amenities were topnotch. Most evenings we enjoyed cooking, unwinding and hanging out by the fire. Each day we raved about how well we had slept in the fabulous king size bed. Since we are avid hikers, the area offered us plenty of parks and trails within easy driving distance. For us, our stay was a perfect balance of tranquility and activities. Our terrier couldn't have been happier roaming the fields in the mornings. Alix was a kind and super communicative host. We are so thankful for her tips and quick responses. Thank you Alix and David for sharing this precious place! Stella, Lars and Mitzi

The cabin itself, along with the homestead, sit directly below the Kalkberg Indian Trail. Less than a mile away you can find the Bronck Home Museum and Gallery. In town you can find almost anything you need for your stay, with great restaurants like SoGo Sushi, Paul's Italian, Red's, Pegasus and Che’ Figata. Start out your day grabbing breakfast at the local it spot, Chrissy & Tim's Diner...and grab a great sub at Griffin's Market. In the historic Reed Street section of town you'll find period brownstones with great shops and favorites The General Store and The Yellow Deli. The Reed Street Bottle Shop boasts a great variety of wines and spirits and is a must see. Our local in town pub is the place to go any night, the Cask & Rasher has amazing food and a repertoire of IPA's that is pretty impressive. My favorite these days however is the Pear Cider, it's dangerous good! If you're a die hard beer lover you likely already know about our local fav's at Honey Hollow, google it to find out how to hang out with the owners and grab a growler...or two;-) In season you can head out to a movie at the local drive in just a few miles down the road where you can also hit up Blackhorse Farms and Barbara's Country Treasures, both are can't miss locations just minutes away and can supply gift items and then some. Feel like you need more? Athen's is just 15 minutes away and boasts a few great restaurants like The Crossroads, Rive Gauge and Bonfiglio & Bread. Just a few minutes more and you'll be in the city of Catskill, quickly becoming known for it's arts movement...you can find my favorite Thai food restaurant called Wasana's right on Main Street. Live music can be found at The New York Restaurant, which also boasts some great Polish dishes too and a fantastic bar that is hopping pretty much every night of the week. Hudson is Hudson...I need not say more;-) If you've not been to Warren Street it's only 20 minutes away and just over the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. Speaking of (URL HIDDEN) you are crossing the bridge take note of the historic landmark OLANA, Fredrick Church's Moorish inspired mansion that sits atop the mountain overlooking the Hudson River. On your trip 'back' it's worth pulling over the car at the park and walk area before the bridge and get out for a stroll on the Rip Van Winkle walking path to take in the breath taking views of the Catskill Mountain range! Up for a hike? Try Kaaterskill Falls. Is skiing on the agenda? Try Hunter or Ski Windham in NY or just over the border you can go to my favorite family friendly mountain at Jiminy Peak. If you haven't guessed by now there are MANY weekends of activities here you can enjoy...that is if you ever leave the cabin;-)

Walking distance to so many great places, simple and stylish decor (which may inspire some redecoration at my own house), an amazingly comfortable bed, and the cider donuts and sparkling water were an appreciated treat after a long drive! The best of all are the hosts, Guenter and Renee! They are excited to host you and great local tips!

    Jennifer2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot speak highly enough about the Cottage! My partner and I spent the better part of a week upstate, and the Cottage was a perfect home base for spending time in Kinderhook in addition to taking day drips around the Hudson Valley + Massachusetts. The home was clean and very well appointed - we even enjoyed browsing many of the books housed throughout. Guenter and Renee were fabulous hosts who offered great tips about food and activities in the area.

Rustle up recipes in a restored, 100%-authentic Art-Deco-era kitchen, complete with decorative antique stove. Sit out on the porch rocker. Play the piano next to a gas-burning stove before drinks, round the campfire in the tree-lined fenced-in garden. Take a stroll down to the end of the street and walk along the mighty Hudson river.
Of note: Antique stove not permitted for use. Two electric burners are available for your use. -Restroom located on 1st floor. Campfire: You will need to provide your own wood and keep the fire low (below the stone ring) as we are in a residential area. Our kitchen is 100% authentic Deco era, minus the vaulted ceiling. After being mistreated for many years, we put back all of the detail that had been taken. Each door, molding, appliance, piece of hardware was obsessed over. Our home still has a ways to go, needing an exterior painting and finishing in the closets. We have come very far, please overlook the few "To-Do-List" items. Enjoy!
Set on a residential street, this 1880s Queen Ann Victorian is a 20-minute drive from the Hudson NY Amtrak station and 2hrs 20min drive from NYC. Stroll in the park and launch boats into the Hudson river, right at the end of the street. Wander among timeless brick buildings, stopping off at coffee shops and restaurants.
  • This is such a charming place that feels so cozy the moment you walk in. The attention to detail is amazing and makes you want to stay longer than you planned.

  • Really cute house, very comfortably slept 5 of us and was only a 2.5 hour drive from the city. Thoughtfully designed and very easy communication with the hosts!

  • Whitney & Isaak’s beautiful home in the tiny town of Coxsackie was perfect for the four of us to escape the city and wind down upstate over New Year’s Eve. The house itself is well appointed, with more than you need for a comfortable stay. The property is well located close to all you could need in Coxsackie, and a short drive away from other towns like Athens and Catskill. The character features and furnishings really add to the experience, with every room beautifully and thoughtfully presented. Little touches like a welcome bottle of wine and detailed tips on exploring the area made this an excellent stay. Definitely recommend.

  • My guests and I had a lovely weekend getaway at Whitey & Isaak’s cozy home! The house was decorated beautifully and included all amenities needed (we especially loved using the projector). The only downside of the house is that it made a lot of noises at night (due to heating/water system) so it was a bit hard to sleep, however I completely understand why since the house is on the older side. Put on some music to fall asleep and you’re good to go! Whitney & Isaak were quick to respond and were very accommodating. We hope to return soon!

  • The space was beautiful and comfortable. Whitney and Isaak were great hosts. My family and I enjoyed a wonderful holiday at their house.

  • Gorgeous house with lots of character. My parents and I had a wonderful time at such a unique house.

  • This place is absolutely wonderful and is decorated with such a nice touch, that will leave you in awe. The decor is tasteful and the additions of some modern touches such as Google Home and a projector to enjoy some movies and tv shows on really make you to just soak up the entire home. We ate at Crossroads Brewing Company and Bonfiglio & Bread and were just blown away by the food. I completely recommend this place as a lovely getaway from NYC!

  • The home was perfect. A cute hide away; antique character mixed with modern design. Gorgeous high ceilings and bright large windows. The bathroom was especially luxurious featuring a large, refinished stand-up shower with antique door and google home available to play your favorite tunes as you get ready. All the amenities needed for a relaxing get away. The The general store in town is just a quick walk down the road and just past it, beautiful views of the Hudson River at a small park. The convenient location made it easy to commute to Hudson as well as a few other quaint towns in the surrounding area. Check-in and out was super easy. Whitney and Isaak were responsive and accommodating. They left a helpful guide to the house and surrounding area. They've truly thought of everything. They even left a bottle wine for us to enjoy. Would definitely book again!

Central location with stores a short drive away, there is a nice patio to relax and even a quaint farm stand in the neighborhood. • Great place to stay especially for last minute booking. Pamela wasnt there while checking in but her husband was nice enough to show us around. She then messaged us when she got out of work to make sure we were okay. Was very private for us which was a plus. They both went out of their way to make sure everything was going well for us. We will definitely book this again if we had an option to.

A century old brick barn renovated in 2018, 10 miles from Hudson, close to Kinderhook, now a quiet, secluded, unique residence. Surrounded by gardens, sheep, and ponies, set off a country road, with a converted jungle shower, loft, close to Hudson, Chatham, bike/ hiking trails, walk to a waterfall, etc. Vegetable garden. Easy drive to Columbia County and Berkshire treats. The farm shares space with nature: insects, reptiles, wind, sun, etc. all exist regardless of their impact on visitors.
There is a queen bed upstairs in the loft (with secure gate for kids) and a queen size, new sofa bed downstairs plus full-size day bed. The kitchen is new, gas stove. Skylights and extra doors and climate controls added in 2018. The jungle shower changes over time and the photos here might not be up to date. More plants, humidifier, etc. We're always working on it. Another nice thing is how far back from the road the house is. If you have dogs or children, you can open the door and let them run out (assuming your dog is not interested in eating my sheep or your kids are okay outside). The shed by the house has bikes and the area only has gentle rolling hills, so I recommend a ride. If you want to ride horses, we can talk about it. The house is completely surrounded by pasture. There may be sheep and goats right outside. They don't smell or make noise -- they aren't that close. You are welcome to go in the field and pet them, say hello. The ponies may also be around, or in the fields just a few feet away. The animals have babies in the spring and that is lovely. We rotate them on different fields during the year, so you may or may not be surrounded by them but they are always pretty close by. In the winter, we have as much firewood as you'd like. Please be extremely careful and talk to us about fire in the house. Quite cozy, but, of course, potentially hazardous. Critters: This is an old house in the country. Mice do come in the house in the fall although you are unlikely to notice them. It's possible some ladybugs will emerge from the windows. Other flying and crawling things will be in the area, outside and maybe even inside from time to time. If this information about the usually very gentle and harmless but not completely and totally tamed local environment causes you to panic, you should probably look elsewhere.
Hello and welcome to the barn guesthouse. My family and I (Will) have lived in the hamlet of Stuyvesant Falls since 2004, moving from Brooklyn, and my mother Susanna move here from Vermont in 2015, next door. The barn that is renovated is on the 5 acre property with Susanna’s house and we have 15 acres next door. The pond is on our property, the garden and barn guesthouse are on my mother’s, but basically it’s all connected. We own sheep, chickens and ponies (plus many dogs and a few cats). Please say hello them. We also have bikes, canoes, inner tubes, ice skates, cross country skis and kayaks and pick up truck and all of that can mean a lot of fun, and we’d be happy to loan items out, but we need to plan in advance. Depending on ages and sizes, we may need to rent bikes until we can get more good bikes available for guests, depending on interest. There is a local swimming hole, but again we need to show you where it is, then you can go on your own. Local towns: Hudson is a city of extremes, with lots of investment, and housing projects. The media like to write about it. The occasional rock star, etc., plus tons of local life and cool stuff, as below. The town of Chatham is usual for being normal. Some of the Massachusetts towns are exceedingly fancy, some of the New York towns can be run down, other towns, like Hudson, are unique, but Chatham is just nice, normal, with plenty of great stuff without being too perfect and not expensive without being rundown and shabby. My opinion, of course. Plus, it’s a rural town with lots of city people on summer weekends. Kinderhook/Valatie neighborhood includes a lot of people who commute to Albany every day, changing the culture of the town. Philmont is close to the Waldorf School Hawthorne Valley and while the Rudolf Steiner/Anthroposophical philosophy is not everyone’s cup of tea, that community, centered in and around Philmont, makes the village is something special in America, although the casual visitor might not realize. The world’s most beautiful farm is there (well maybe that’s an exaggeration) but it’s a real working farm and they are pretty busy, Threshold. The roads back behind High Falls are gorgeous. Copake, Hillsdale, etc. etc. Greenport is kind of a strip mall and not a pretty one. Stuyvesant Landing: the cafe restaurant is great with stunning views. Nutten Hook/Ice House is historic and trails and canoeing is good. If you want to jump out of the canoe, I would suggest the Stockport Creek, also very near by. Hudson has an Amtrak station, many antique shops, restaurants, the Hudson Opera House, TSL, Basilica Industria, Club Helsinki, Spotty Dog Books and Bar. I like the cruelty-free diner with excellent local meat, Grazin’ Acres, with the cows from Kinderhook Farm on your way to Chatham, back roads. Swoon and Crimson Sparrow are great for fine dining -- and it gets finer in Hudson, Farmer and Sons and Fish and Game -- or good pizza a Baba Louies (a lot less fine, but still fine). Farmer’s market. Chatham has McCadden theater and PS 21 and a great movie theater (beautiful 1920s restored). The Pub has new owners. The brewery, Chatham beer, is great. Ron’s bike shop it top notch. The town park Crellin has a pond you can swim in and trails next to a creek, in addition to all sports, tennis, skateboard, playgrounds. You should also go to Borden Pond to walk around and Ooms Pond is stunning. Kinderhook. Farmer’s market. The Flammerie is nice as a restaurant. The cafe in the center of town is good with ice cream. Winter: Fire is obviously serious business! The wood stove must be operated with great care, please. Never remove anything from the stove (ashes, wood, etc). We’ll do that. Put only wood and paper in there. Always make sure the doors are securely closed when you go to bed or out of the house. Try the handle out before starting the fire, when it’s cold, wiggle it and see if you can securely close the doors. If you want to have the doors open to look at the fire, put up the screen and keep an eye out for anything falling out of the stove. There is a fire extinguish on the mantle behind the stove. • Will was a great host, and the farmhouse is a great place. The stay was pleasant and the accommodations were really great. Nothing like sitting by the fire, playing piano, and eating good food. Minutes from Hudson which has all of the provisions we needed for a great weekend of cooking, eating and being merry!

  • This place is the perfect getaway! A true renovated barn with incredible charm in a wonderful location - the house is surrounded by large fields and friendly animals. Hudson city is a short drive away and full of great restaurants and shops. The host Will was very easy to communicate with and made our check in/check out super easy. I highly recommend it!

  • We were looking for a nice quiet space to spend the last days of summer and Wills place delivered. The kids loved reading to and feeding the sheep and ponies and we lived the proximity to swimming holes and good food in Hudson. My husband was nervous about the temperature over night but the barn is perfectly outfitted with fans that we never had to turn the AC on! It was a lot of fun, we sat by the fire pit every night!

    Missy2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful and cozy space, then Will’s home is the place. Our family had complete privacy, and Will was nearby if we had any questions. The grazing sheep in the field next door were lovely neighbors during our stay, and there was plenty to do in the area. We had a great time and hope to return in the winter.

    Christine2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We couldn't be more pleased with our accomodations at Will's barn. It's set off the road and spacious inside. The loft was easy to access, even though my husband and I are older adults. It just had a wonderful, peaceful feeling inside, with the rustic beams and woodstove. The rain shower is a hoot, with its "steaming pots" amongst the plants. It's in a central location, easy to get to interesting places within the Catskills. Make sure you check out Art Omi, with its captivating outdoor art installations and beautiful grounds. We always loved coming "home" to our restful retreat. We did have an unexpected problem during our stay, but Will handled it quickly and professionally and for that we will always be grateful.

    Carla2019-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • We loved being surrounded by the sheep and our kids absolutely loved it too! At this time of year the sun is up super bright And early and our kids were up with the sun, and had trouble going to sleep until it got dark, so if you have small kids like ours just be wary. This obviously is no reflection on Will and the space, just our early rising children. Will was very responsive and great! About 15-20 min drive to Chatham or Hudson with great restaurants and hiking/parks. We'd go back again but without kids next time.

  • My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at the barn. The entire place is beautiful and well decorated; the shower especially was a treat. Would highly recommend for a peaceful vacation. The location was also super convenient for lots of delicious local reataurants and great hikes. Will definitely visit again.

  • If you are looking for an airbnb experience that includes hanging out with tons of friendly, cute animals, do not hesitate to book this place. Will and his family are present and nearby and very accommodating. The barn is at the heart of a lively family farm and you will witness the many goings-on. The space itself is comfortable and cozy, and the renovated silo shower is super cool. We had a great time :)

RATE HAS BEEN LOWERD DURING COVID-19 Our home is a close drive from Hudson, Kinderhook or Chatham, NY and a ten minute walk to the Hudson River and a boat launch. Enjoy miles of country roads for walking and biking and our nine acres through meadows and woods on mowed paths. Guests have access to an Adirondack style cottage overlooking a pond. Close to numerous restaurants, galleries, antique shops and cultural activities. This property is good for couples, a group of friends and families.
This private (pet free) guest house includes three bedrooms with private baths on the second floor, with a living room, dining room, full kitchen and half bath with washer/dryer on the first floor. The living room has a gas fired wood stove. The house is surrounded by spacious lawns, meadows and woodlands with mowed paths. A spring fed pond and charming "pond house" with deck for outdoor fires and relaxing is located just behind the house and is available for guest use.
The house, built in the late 1800's, is a short walk to the Hudson River. At the river, a park has a boat launch for kayaks and canoes. The property is close to several dairy and organic farms. The town's quiet nature is ideal for walking or biking the surrounding roads with a park for younger children a short walk down the road. We are approximately 15 minutes to Hudson and Chatham and 5 minutes to Kinderhook. The Berkshires, Catskill (including several ski locations) and Saratoga, NY are all within an hours drive.
  • This is a truly peaceful and beautiful place. The amenities are exhaustive and really well-thought-out. At no point during our stay did we have to worry about not being able to fulfill any of our basic needs. The little pond house in particular is a great place to spend an evening together chatting or playing with the accompaniment of crackling wood in the fireplace. The hosts Deb and Mike are very friendly and communicative, and will help you with any questions or concerns you might have during your stay.

    Marileidy2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very quiet, secluded spot with sole access to a lovely pond and a wonderful deck overlooking the pond. All the beds are quite comfortable. The trails around the place make for some lovely and interesting, if not particularly challenging walks. A good value for a quiet stay. Hostess Debbie was very helpful in directing us to local restaurants, farmers markets, grocery stores, etc.

  • We were in town for a wedding and debbies place was perfect for 3 couples. It is very clean and had more than enough room for our party. We had a blast down by the pool house feeding the fish and walking the grounds. The property is beautiful and we would love to come back!

  • Amazing place and incredible hosts.

    Andrés2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic rental! Perfect for a summer weekend away from the city. We loved playing games in the large yard, having drinks by the fire pit next to the pond, and visiting Chatham and Hudson (both 20 min drive). Debbie was a gracious and helpful host, and we especially liked the coffee and breakfast items that she stocked.

    Christine2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • We (four women) stayed here as a friends-getaway trip and it was wonderful. The house may look small but we each had our own large bed and all 3 bedrooms upstairs have bathrooms (in addition to one downstairs). Besides, there is so much lovely space to walk around and lounge outside. The interior is charming and clean. Debbie left us great local food for a simple breakfast and was a welcoming and responsive host. Highly recommend and hope to return myself!

    Julie2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Simply stunning!

    Eva2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie and Mike obviously love their property based on the care and attention that have gone into guest house and the grounds. We fell in love with it too! The house is charming and comfortable. They supplied a tasty, organic, local breakfast. They were quick to respond to any needs. Our family (2 exhausted parents and two energetic, young children) were entertained by feeding the fish and walking on the trails. I would recommend coming in late June to enjoy the fresh strawberries and the nightly light show (a field of fireflies!)

Our lovingly maintained carriage house is light & bright, having full kitchen, dining & living areas, with a wood stove. The cozy bedroom and private bathroom add to the space, offering a wonderful farm experience or a simple country life retreat.
Fairland Farm is located on County Route 21, Kinderhook, 20 min. from Hudson, NY and 2.5 hrs from NYC. Fairland Farm produces organic vegetables, and is located in scenic Columbia County - the gem of upstate New York.
Both the Village of Kinderhook and the greater Town of Kinderhook offer a variety of eateries, small shops, and roadside farm stands, as well as the expected, and more familiar, retail establishments such as grocery stores, banks, churches, and car repair shops. However, Kinderhook is a rural community with a multitude of working farms and you should expect, during growing season, to see and smell, all that entails.
  • We totally enjoyed our stay.

  • Second time at Bill's carriage house. Really, really lovely time. The pool, which we used every day of our stay, is incredible, and has such a breathtaking view. Bill was a great host, very communicative, and provided another wonderful stay. Will be back again next year!

    Keith2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Had such a great time at Carriage House at Fairland Farm. Bill was the perfect host providing us with great local suggestions, breakfast/snacks, and checking in on us to make sure we were having a great time. The apartment it self is perfect for a getaway with a fully operating kitchen, cozy living room, and comfortable beds. Super market and local stores were within 5 minutes driving distance which was great! We absolutely loved having access to the pool, we spent a lot of time there and the views of the farm/nearby mountains from the pool were breathtaking. We even got to walk around the farm which was a great experience. Make sure to catch the sunset while staying at Bills, it was mesmerizing! As we were getting ready to leave our group was already discussing when we could return! We will definitely be booking again with Bill!

    Matt2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our family (two adults and children ages 5 and 8) truly enjoyed our stay at Bill’s place in Kinderhook. It’s such a lovely carriage house on working vegetable farm. We used the pool each day of our weekend and that was such a nice addition to have. Bill welcomed us with items stocked in the refrigerator as well as some pantry items for us to snack on. The carriage house is so nice and larger in person than it looked in the photos. We slept comfortably and enjoyed our day trips to Hudson, Athens, Chatham and Valatie. There’s so much to do in the immediate area and plenty of eating places too. Mother Nature took the power out while we were staying at the carriage house and Bill was so responsive and extremely helpful in accommodating us. It was a great trip and we will be back again. Give this quaint place a try and it won’t disappoint.

  • Debra's house was absolutely lovely. It was a very welcoming and cozy space. The house was sparkling clean and had everything we could have needed. Debra was a fantastic host and very accommodating. When we weren't relaxing by the fire, we enjoyed walking our dogs on a trail behind the house and visiting the local brewery in town. It was the perfect relaxing getaway!

  • Debra is the perfect hostess. Her thoughtful touches just add to the charm of her cozy and charming home. A sweet place to stay!

  • Debra greeted us and made us feel right at home. The house was impeccably clean. We enjoyed taking our dog into the snow-covered back yard then coming in and sitting by the stove. The internet worked great, and we loved using the Roku with lots of channels. It was a memorable trip!

  • Debra is a superbly super host! The hideaway is charming, clean, perfectly furnished and nicely situated in a lovely wooded spot that’s a convenient distance from town (on foot or otherwise) and many other cool spots by car. I look forward to returning!

    Annabelle2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the house, and hope to come back in the warmer months to use the back porch.

    Patrice2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Debra made us feel extremely welcome. Her home is lovely and perfectly appointed, in a beautiful secluded space where you can be close to nature. Debra was an effective communicator. She left small treats for us, she is both a gracious and thoughtful host!

    Julie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Debra's home is truly an oasis. It was so relaxing and the perfect getaway from the city. I hadn't expected the lovely downtown of Kinderhook to be as close as it was, and the farmer's market was amazing! It was the perfect home base for us to explore the area, and to come home at night for a fire and a delicious meal, from all local ingredients. Debra has really put every effort into making the space welcoming, and we can't recommend it enough.

Our quiet 2br apartment has two light-filled bedrooms, bath with clawfoot tub and beautiful sunrise views over the Hudson. The apartment is the entire second floor and includes a shared backyard with fire pit. Located a two-minute walk to the historic village of Coxsackie and riverfront park with a general store (coffee, food, beer), wine shop, and restaurant. Conveniently located to local venues and a 10 min drive to Athens, 15 min to Catskill and 20 min to Hudson amtrak
Our home is nearly 120 years old and we're new homeowners in the process of bringing it to its full potential. While we can't promise perfection, we tried our best to capture our home as-is and will do our best to make your stay as convenient and pleasant as possible. We live in the downstairs unit with our dog Duke and are always happy to offer recommendations in town and the surrounding region. Located between the Capital Region and Mid-Hudson Valley, Coxsackie offers unique access to events, cideries, breweries, antique shops, parks and places to hike. Long-term rentals and rental of the entire home (4BR, 2BA) is also available upon request
We love that downtown is a short walk from the house and close to many wedding venues. Here are some of our favorite things to do: Blackhorse Farms: open seasonally and great for produce, local meat, cheese, bread, plants and desserts, specifically pie! Hi-Way Drive-In: Quintessential 80's style Drive-In movie theatre showing first-run double features with a cheap and delicious snack stand! Reed Street Bottle Shop: this might be my favorite winestore ever. Great under $12 selection and the owners Susan and Shia make excellent recommendations for those looking for something special Mansion and Reed General Store: local stop for coffee, milk, cheese, bread, salad, beer and cider as well as dry goods. Seating area with WiFi and a lovely barrister! Che Figata: Standard Italian restaurant serving up hearty portions of fare. We love their caesar salad and pesto pastas. Cask and Rasher: Lively gastro pub with serious BBQ, great beer selection and outdoor seating. A 20 min walk or 5 min drive from the apt Coxsackie Antique Center: 100+ vendors. You can find anything here, including great bargains! Thomas Cole House: A short drive to Catskill brings you to the Thomas Cole House. The Hudson River inspired a whole school of painting. Find out why! Coxsackie Riverfront Park: Ideal spot for a water front picnic. The park has stations to grill, a boat/kayak launch, playground and river walk with beautiful views. There is also live music in the gazebo over the summer
  • Our stay at Katie's two-bedroom apartment in Coxsackie was an absolute delight — I can't say enough good things about it. Three of us were visiting (one couple + one individual), but the space, which takes up the entire second floor of the building, seems like it would also be very comfortable for two couples. The apartment was beautiful, with expansive windows that look out on the Hudson and very tasteful decor. It's a good size, bigger than we expected, with two cozy sitting areas and two very comfortable beds. Heat and hot water were powerful and reliable during the chilly weekend of our stay. And the hosts left thoughtful touches throughout. For instance: a record player and curated selection of albums with handwritten notes on each LP about the music; a solid list of nearby breweries, restaurants, stores, and more; extra quilts and a picnic blanket; a bottle of wine; and more. I highly recommend and would love to stay again.

    Miriam2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Katie’s place is very clean and comfortable, with a great view of the river. It’s also easy walking distance to downtown Coxsackie. The apartment is full of thoughtful touches and amenities and has been nicely renovated. Highly recommend if you’re planning to be in the area.

  • I can't say enough nice things about Katie & Charles's place. It was so cozy and peaceful with a fantastic view of the river. They were excellent hosts who went the extra mile to make sure my stay was enjoyable. Their home was filled so many thoughtful touches (like a delicious bottle of welcome wine and the vintage record player) that made for an awesome and relaxing stay. Having the general store and bottle shop so close was an added treat. Highly recommend.

  • Katie’s place is amazing. I had such a great time. Highly recommend staying here.

  • Katie's place is absolutely charming and wonderful. It's on a quiet street surrounded by a lot of nature, and pretty close to Catskill and other nearby towns and destinations. Katie was very nice and gave us recommendations for fun things to do and places to eat - which we did try out and thoroughly enjoyed! I highly recommend staying at this place; I know I would again.

Kinderhaus Folk Art Museum, an extremely sweet and crooked house from 1770 full of art and antiques, is located in the historical village of Kinderhook, just a few minutes’ walk from several cafés, excellent restaurants, antique shops, library, bank, and Jack Shainman’s gallery, “The School”. It’s also just a short drive from marvelous Hudson and all of it’s antique stores and galleries, many local organic farms and farm shops, as well as the Shaker Museum and Shaker Village.
  • Jenny's home was a veritable museum filled with her artwork and an impressive collection of antiques, curios, books on folk art, and vinyl records. Each lovingly decorated room was a joy to explore. Jenny was a fantastic host whose communication was prompt and seamless. She is also an old friend of Tasha Tudor and an artist in her own right with a fascinating story. I highly recommend her place to folk art lovers and anyone traveling the area (Kinderhook was in itself a charming town, The School is not to be missed!). Oh, and she found & returned the entirety of my travel money that I'd left behind by accident. I really can't thank her enough.

    Sung2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • I could spend hours looking at the art and objects in this beautiful little Kinderhook home. It was a lovely stay in a peaceful neighborhood, and convenient to Hudson.

    Tessa2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing house! The folk art is wonderful, beautifully displayed and layered to make the home feel quirky, cozy, and fascinating. The garden is so inviting, and it's only a block walk into the center of Kinderhook. Jenny left a thoughtful chocolate on the nightstand and the directions for everything were easy, clear, and no-fuss. A delightful stay!

    Meredith2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny’s place is a dream come true, such a beautiful home nestled into the lovely town of Kinderhook. We had such a great stay, her communication was great and we had no issues at all. Thank you Jenny, I look forward to returning one day!

    Josie2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Walked to breakfast and dinner. Jenny provided much appreciated Pellegrino and chocolate on arrival.

    Larry2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful stay at Jenny's lovely home. The space is beautiful and thoughtfully decorated. I couldn't stop staring at her incredible collection of folk art! Her house is old but with modern amenities, so you still get that traditional country home feeling with updated appliances, the best of both worlds really. It's in a great location with a farmers market, restaurants, antique shops and The School gallery all within walking distance. We didn't get to meet Jenny in person but she was very responsive and kind.

    Mia2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Jenny’s house, it is full of surprises and interesting antiques and art work. The communication was great and Jenny is very nice and helpful. Highly recommended!

  • Jenny's home is a true gem! The location is wonderful: Kinderhook is a great town with the cutest houses and its close to Hudson and other nice towns. Jenny is an artist with a great eye for decor! The home, as well as its garden, is so lovely. We learned so much about folk art and enjoyed seeing the pieces on display through out the house, especially the Howard Finster piece. So much character! I cannot recommend the Folk Art Museum enough!

  • Very nice apartment and although we did not get to meet Katherine she was very helpful during our stay. She provided her phone number and was quick to respond to any questions. Easy check in and out. We were supposed to be there 4 nights but our flight to Albany got cancelled so it ended up being 3 nights. There was more room than we needed and it was very nicely furnished. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes and cooking utensils you would need. Very clean and well kept. We did not spend much time there as we needed to spend time with our family who lives in Coxsackie. The location was great for easy walking to the town. The WiFi worked well. Only one of the TV’s worked and only for Roku. No local cable for local news and weather which we did not realize when we booked. We would definitely recommend staying here.

  • We loved staying at Jeff and Juan’s. The house is beautifully decorated, clean and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies. The plants throughout the house are an extra touch and provide a very relaxing environment. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Jeff and Juan's home is a sweet sanctuary. The entire space has been carefully crafted with detailed decorative attention and lots of love. Expect to arrive and not ever want to leave! For all the cooks out there: the kitchen is fully packed with everything you need to make special meals not to mention beautiful dinner and silverware sets that pair perfectly with the kitchens cozy decor. There is plenty of lounge space and bathrooms are fully packed with essentials. Bedrooms are the most comfortable and the entire place is spotlessly clean. It was a perfect stay! Jeff and Juan are fantastic hosts and my friends and I will be going back soon!

    Stephanie2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This house is just perfect is you want to be surrounded by nature. The peaceful sound of the river next door creates such a calming environment. The house is very charming, well decorated and equipped with everything you need. It actually doesn't feel at all like a renting house but more like a real home. Jeff is an adorable host who will do anything to help you have the best time. I have forgotten my trekking shoes and when he and I realized we were the same size, he did not land me one but three pairs so I could enjoy walk in the beautiful countryside! The only small downside is the distance with Hudson if you want to go out for dinner as it is a 15-20min drive.

    Carl2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff & Juan’s place is perfectly set up for a quiet few days away from the hustle of busy life. The decor is thoughtfully curated, the plant life provides a great surrounding, and the to top it off communication with our hosts was easy. We will definitely be back!

    Brian2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful home! We really enjoyed our stay in this stylish, comfortable space and can’t wait to return. Jeffrey is a perfect host, was very quick to respond, and was super friendly. I cooked a big meal for my family of 7 who came for dinner and the kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The house is spotless, the beds cozy and the location by the rapids is beautiful and relaxing. We loved it!

  • My wife and two young kids -- with grandparents in tow -- had an ideal experience for a quiet Thanksgiving respite. Jeff was on hand to answer any questions we had. The cottage is stylish, comfy, friendly, spotless, and convenient to Hudson and the surrounding areas.

  • Shilpi and her family were absolutely amazing hosts. Their hospitality was so good that I felt like I was part of the family. They have a very easy-going and fun-loving attitude. Shilpi is an amazing cook (we are both vegetarian) and offered me dinner every night, which I was thankful for considering my busy work schedule. They invited me to partake in activities with their two wonderful kids; I will miss them dearly! Although we interacted a lot during my stay, they were cognizant of giving me privacy to study or work when needed. It was truly the perfect balance. Shilpi and her husband went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. A few springs in the mattress I was sleeping on were broken and they replaced it the same day with an extra mattress from the kids bedroom. They allowed me to eat or drink anything in the fridge. I had full access to the house including the very peaceful backyard. The bathroom is not attached to the bedroom that is rented, however, it is essentially a private bathroom since the family mostly uses the attached bathroom in their master bedroom. I truly could not have asked for a better place to stay. Shilpi and her family have become my friends and I look forward to staying with them again. If you are looking for a loving family to take you in, look no further! If you are looking for a place with every amenity imaginable, look no further! If you are looking for a place with great food, look no further. If you are looking to make friends like family, look no further!

  • Kerri's place was perfect for our New Years getaway! Great location, easy to get anywhere – easily drove into Catskill and Hudson during our stay. Kerri sent over an amazing list of things to do in the area and we did a bunch of them! We went to Rams-Horn Audubon Conservancy for a great trail walk (even on a gloomy day!) The New York Restaurant was very tasty, Helsinki Hudson is great for live music, and The Cascades in Hudson had AMAZING sandwiches for lunch. Kerri's home is even better than pictured and super cozy, so although there is plenty to do in town it's great for a quiet night in. I brought my dog and she had a blast. Would definitely stay again!
