Due to reasons outside of my control I had to move my overnight stay to a week later than initially planned but she let me move my reservation on the day I was supposed to check in with no extra charge which was really nice. She had good recommendations on where to go and made check-in easy. The room was neat and comfortable. I would stay here again if I'm in town for work.

This is truly the perfect place to stay while visiting SUNY Cobleskill. You couldn't be closer unless you were on the campus itself. I was extremely fortunate to have met both hosts who are charming and intelligent, AND I had the whole b&b to myself! There are three restaurants in close proximity to The Gables. We chose Justine's and were very pleased. Stuart's is an ice cream shoppe next to Justine's which one MUST NOT MISS! (Try the Colombian Coffee flavor). There is one caveat in staying at The Gables; you do experience street noise at night as the bedroom faces the road, second floor. This is not a deterrent for me and I would not hesitate to make this my #1 choice to stay while visiting my niece in Cobleskill in the future.

John was waiting on the front porch for us (we had given him our ETA) and he made us feel so welcome from the moment we met him. There are two houses on this property. We stayed in the brick house (not pictured here) which was very nicely done. The common rooms were bright, open, clean and welcoming. My daughter and I took advantage of the board games at night and had a really great time! Our room was also very nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a nice size. Room 2 has a private bath but it is not actually in the room. This was fine with us. We enjoyed the warm home made muffins our first morning - they are as good as everyone raves about :-) We left early in the morning the last 2 days of our stay but John made a point of saving muffins for us to take along so that we wouldn't go hungry. He is very thoughtful! There is a great place for dinner within walking distance of The Gables. We HIGHLY recommend going there. I would absolutely stay here again if we are back in this area.

The Gables provided a very relaxing getaway. John was a perfect host. The accommodations were large, quiet and comfortable with convenient off street parking.

John made us feel very welcome and at home. The room was clean and comfortable. If We were to be in the area again, we would surely stay with John. To top it off, the bran muffins and homemade jam are awesome .

The Gables Bed and Breakfast was clean, comfortable, quiet and secure. John was affable but not overbearing. He had some good tips about where to eat in the area. Parking was easy. I enjoyed my week there and slept well. The bran muffins and jam were the best I've ever had in my life.

The Gables was a wonderful place! The bed is comfy, John is lovely and everything was really clean. John's homemade bran and raisin muffins with homemade strawberry jam is enough of a reason to stay! If we're back in the neighborhood I would certainly come again.

This was a very convenient place to stay while visiting SUNY as it is so close by. Good restaurant in walking distance from the front door (.1 miles) with HUGE portions (so you might want to share). The home had a nice dining room table to work and eat at. John was friendly and welcoming and even brought me over a blender last minute so I could make a morning fruit shake AND happily let me back in my room after I accidently locked myself out the following day (that was embarrassing). I felt safe staying here. I may be back if I attend events at SUNY again.

John was very welcoming and accommodating of me and my 8 month old baby, which I really appreciated. The room was clean and cozy and the muffins in the morning were delicious!

Originally my sister and I were going to stay for 2 nights but do to the impending rain storm opted to stay only one night. We found the place without getting to lost. It's about 10-15 minutes outside of downtown Cobbleskill. Set back from the road, it's a quaint farm with ponds and trails. We hung out on the porch and watched the stars from the patio. We did have trouble locking the door, but finally figured out how to do it. I talked to Mindy on the phone and she was helpful. Just a few things people should do. Bring sugar or honey if you like the real stuff and when you have a fire the directions say bring the damper forward. That means towards the stone wall. Trial & error. You learn quick. Overall we had a nice time. The place is fairly remote but it's nice to relax and enjoy getting back to nature

Our stay at Mindy's went fine until the cook surface of her 15 year old stovetop cracked under the weight of a dutch oven. We tried to resolve but she insisted on holding me liable for the cost of an entirely brand new stove. I paid her for half of the cost of her 15 year old stove and that wasn't enough. Wish it turned out better.

Mindy was so generous with notes, towels, blankets and pillows-we felt right at home! The home is tucked away, but her directions were impeccable. Lovely weekend retreat with amazing views and a very comfortable, clean and welcoming property!

We had a wonderful stay over Valentine's Day weekend on what were the coldest days of the season. The house definitely exceeded our expectations. It was cozy and had lots of space. There was a full kitchen with anything you could possibly need, a bathtub/shower, and a cute loft bedroom with a large bed and TV. Lots of windows and natural light. The setting was very secluded and beautiful. Despite being -20 degrees, the wood stove kept us toasty, added to the experience, and there was plenty of firewood provided. We cooked a full meal the first night and went to the American Hotel in Sharon Springs (~15 mins) for Valentine's dinner. A quaint town that's def worth a visit. Mindy was easy to communicate with. We'd love to stay again and visit in the summer. Thanks, Mindy!

Booked the house super last minute and Mindy was great with communication and making my first AirBnB experience a success! The property and surrounding area is beautiful. House is comfortable (wood stove kept us toasty) and kitchen is fully equipped. We managed to pull off an unplanned a pre-Thanksgiving dinner complete with apple pie! Loved that there's a compost bin. Looking forward to visiting again!

My boyfriend and I came up for a long winter weekend getaway and it was better than I even imagined! The house was so cozy and private, stocked with all the cooking amenities you could ask for. With Cooperstown and my bf's favorite brewery Omnegang only 20 minutes away, it was extremely convenient in terms of sightseeing and buying anything we needed. The wood stove kept us very warm and we just loved cuddling up by the fire, playing games, cooking and relaxing. What a great house!

Mindy's farm was great! The perfect weekend getaway from the city. The kitchen was perfect for cooking, the woodstove cozy and the surrounding farm existential for hiking and wandering. Our dog is still sleeping off her adventures! Only 20 minutes from Cooperstown, I can't recommend Mindy's place enough. Thank you for a much-needed weekend away.

Andrew's apartment is the perfect getaway from the busy city. We enjoyed exploring the trails directly behind the house. We had asked Andrew if he had a fire pit, he didn't have one but he got us a makeshift fire pit for our stay! The whole apartment was spotless and very inviting. I would recommend it to anyone!

A great place! We went to relax over Labor Day weekend had a great time. Andrew's apartment is private with all of the amenities you will need. 2 gallons of fresh iced tea waiting on the porch was a nice touch. The paths and trails around the property are cool and mazelike, and there is a large patch of woods to explore further. Andrew is very responsive if you need anything or suggestions of things to do in the area. Would recommend!

My longtime boyfriend and I stayed at Andrew's beautiful property for three nights. It was the most relaxing vacation I have ever been on! Andrew is a wonderful host! The apartment is in this beautiful old home and is gorgeously decorated with trinkets he has found all over the world! We arrived late but he did not mind at all! He had fresh fruit and honey waiting for us and made us mint sun tea! The property is absolutely breathtaking! We followed the property map Andrew made and we were able to see a pond with frogs, a marsh that an ambitious beaver recently converted into a lake and a beautiful pine forest! We also helped in the catch and release of a groundhog! The views from the home are beautiful and you go to bed listening to the birds and wake up to them singing! Andrew recommended a few fun places to visit. We spent a day at Howe Caverns, which is not too far away. It was a lot of fun! This was our first AirBnB booking and I have to say that it far exceeded our expectations, which were already pretty high! We had the best time and we had a great host! We are definitely coming back and I highly recommend staying there if you are looking for some peace and quiet!

Looking for a place to stay in this area? This is it! You will find a uniquely decorated apartment with everything you need. Andrew has thought of everything. And when I mentioned that I forgot to bring binoculars to use on the trails (bird watching) Andrew provided them to me. Don't think twice, his place is in the country; both quiet and peaceful. On his property there is nature for your enjoyment; but there are many other things to keep you busy not far from his home. He provides you with an email containing plenty of information about opportunities close by. I enjoyed my stay and hope to return again in the near future.

As always, Andrews place, his comfy cottage in the country was impeccably clean, sweet and comfortable. We enjoyed all the amenities - a wonderful meal on the porch, cozy living room furniture, fresh fruit, and most importantly, many walks through the paths in his forest. It was wonderful to sit by the pond and deep in the woods. We were able to relax and soak in all the gifts! And oh yes, we went to Sharon Springs again, a fun little town, and of course, Cherry Valley, town of my ancestors.

Andrew was very attentive to questions and responded to emails very quickly during our set-up phase for arrival. Once we arrived he did a quick tour of the property and described what areas of the house/yard were specifcally set up for guest usage. The apartment was exactly as described and pictured, which was very comfortable, accessible, and quiet. Andrew had a property map of the trails he'd created, which was very helpful. He also went above and beyond the call of duty and left us sun tea on the deck, had little amentities throughout the apartment, and even sent us detailed information about points of interest after speaking with us about our plans in the area. So we had links for hiking opportunities and food venues right in our email to make navigating the region easier. He was very relaxed about our check out time, as well. We really enjoyed our visit.

The property was beautiful. A really great, quiet, cozy get away from the city. So much wildlife and comforting nature. The bed was SUPER comfortable. Clare welcomed us onto her beautiful and secluded property with a tour through her flower fields. She led us, accompanied by her very cute dog, to a small cottage situated right over a beautiful vista. It was naturally cool indoors and had everything we needed to relax over a long weekend (board games, cards, a wood stove, some fresh fruit). I think the simplicity of staying there really got me, it was so easy to wake up and sit on the porch listening and looking out over the view with a cup of coffee (beans provided and fresh ground!) and to just relax. The woods are sprawling and at night you can see the Milky Way. It was so relaxing to be there that by the end of our stay we realized we hadn't left the property. Only on the last day did we drive to a local stream to swim before heading back to the city. This cottage is truly a dream, a small cut out from reality and also a really nice reality in itself. We hope to stay again.

My girlfriend and I had a great weekend at Clare's cottage. The photos don't do it justice. The view is amazing (especially with a full moon) and the space is very well thought out. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a weekend in the wilderness.

My girlfriend and I had the most wonderful weekend at the Little Green Cottage. If you are looking for gorgeous scenery and complete isolation, look no further. The views were picturesque, the cottage was beautifully constructed and private, and the location proved to be nothing but relaxing and comfortable. Clare and her husband were incredibly accommodating during our stay. She is full of great suggestions for local hikes and farmers markets. Though we only crossed paths a couple times, we felt very welcome on her property. I can't wait to visit again - my girlfriend and I are already looking into weekends to return to the Little Green Cottage this fall!

This was my second time staying at Clare's with my boyfriend, the first this past summer. We wanted to come back during the fall and had an equally amazing time the second time around. Clare's is beautiful and cozy; the property is private and expansive. Clare is able to give you all of the inside scoop on local trails and goings on about town. Can't wait to come back as soon as we can!

This is probably one of the most under-rated places I have ever stayed on Airbnb and I don't know why more people haven't discovered this place! As some other reviewers commented, the pictures actually don't do this place justice. It is over the top cute and really felt like our own hideaway in the woods/mountains. My husband and I stayed here for 2 days over a long summer weekend, and we felt so relaxed the whole time. The cabin was built by Clare on a private part of her property, at the top of a small hill that has undisturbed views of the mountains and valley below. It is set apart from Clare's house itself up on a hill and you definitely feel as if you are staying in your own recluse. While the cabin is simple and basic in terms of amenities (gravity fed water, electricity via a battery), I think that's what makes this place even more charming and you will easily adjust your habits to make you wonder why you ever needed modern amenities in the first place. The cabin is very well decorated and you can tell that Clare put a lot of time into thinking about what the guests may want (breakfast, board games, hiking maps, etc). Clare even gave us some fresh tomatoes from her Garden! I loved waking up in the morning, stepping outside into the glorious sunshine, sitting in the chair with a magnificent view of the catskills mountains below and enjoying coffee and breakfast. We also went for some day trips to the many farmers markets, country stores and hiking trails around the area, but really you could also spend the whole time on the property as there is even a short walking trail directly connected to the house that is part of the estate. All in all, we had an incredibly relaxing weekend and this place helped us connect with nature and eachother, and I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for the same!

We LOVED our stay at Clare's cottage! The place is magical. Chipmunks, birds and butterflies were all over the property. The cottage was super cute and clean. We can't wait to come back!

An incredible idyll in the woods with all of the best amenities. This is wonderful get away with complete privacy, the cleanest air and a truly charming and romantic setting. We arrived several hours late due to weather and traffic but were happily greeted with the warmest hugs. Thanks to Clare and Neil for making our stay so lovely and memorable!

We had a marvelous time at the Little Green Cottage. Clare built a great hideaway that allows you to really relax in the midst of the forest. We enjoyed waking up to the magnificent view of the Catskills and ending the day sitting around the unique fireplace.

Very spacious, quiet and cozy house. We we're a group of 10 and everyone had a comfortable bed. 35 minutes from Cooperstown, where we played two games in the weekend. Great place to relax. Only regret is we didn't have time to visit the vast land around the house.

I spent 4 days at this absolutely beautiful house with my entire band. We made music, we played games, we went hiking.... It was one of the most fantastic experiences I have had in years. The owner made us feel very welcome, he embraced the arts as much as we did and the house was very clean at arrival. Plenty of towels, plenty of bedding and sheets. This place has all you can wish for. No neighbors. Beautiful landscape and nature. And it became clear very soon that the owner makes sure that everything is up to date and working well in the house for visitors. Will definitely be back !

Dennis was a tremendous host, and the beautiful Sky Acres Farms was everything he (and the other happy visitors whose reviews I read) said it was. Despite our being late due to traffic, Dennis waited patiently for us to arrive, showed as around the house, gave us a bit of history about the home, and then left us to enjoy the 200 acres upon which it is situated. He even left us some groceries for the next morning (including some delicious fresh eggs from his chicken). The home itself was immaculately clean, comfortable, and had every accommodation we could hope for. And spending a late afternoon and early evening up by the fire pit (with incredible views for miles upon miles outward) playing frisbee, enjoying a bonfire, and doing some stargazing was pretty much the perfect close to Saturday evening. In short, whether you're looking for a quiet, calming place to spend a relaxing weekend of hiking, hanging out, and cooking out or you want a place to unwind after hitting up other local attractions (we went to the Baseball Hall of Fame--Dennis left directions for his visitors that made the trip much easier), you will definitely have a tremendous time at Sky Acres Farms. Impossible not to love the home and the host!

The high of our trip was definitely sitting by the fire one night and taking in the view. We had a memorable trip as Sky Acres was just what we were looking for. My only regret is we didn’t have enough time to explore all 200 acres.

Spending Christmas at Marty's home has been a joyful and calming experience. Her secluded and very charming cottage is engulfed by a huge fairytale forest, turning every window in the house into an intimate Impressionist painting. Lovely home, beautiful surrounding nature (even in the dead of winter), and a superb host--there was nothing more to ask for... Good times!

Looking for a getaway that's beautiful, clean, quiet AND has wifi?? Then this is your place. We rented Marty's place for a long weekend while visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and found this charming house to be exactly what we wanted. And exactly what was described. Everyone had their own room. Plenty of space. Huge kitchen. BBQ on the porch. Two full bathrooms with possibly the biggest showers you will ever see. All of it clean and in great working order. House provided everything we needed and then some. Only thing you need to bring is food. Washer and dryer in basement were very helpful to have on site as well. Ran into one small, common issue early Sunday morning and within five minutes of texting Marty she had her handyman on his way to the house to resolve the issue almost immediately. Shocked and unbelievably impressed how fast the response was. (And yes, the handyman fixed it and cleaned up as well). Marty also happens to be the sweetest person with whom to communicate. She had great recommendations for just about everything from food to sites/attractions, to turning off the porch lights at night and watching the fireflies put on a show in the backyard, etc. She also has clearly listened to former guests and/or friends who've stayed there because all of those questions/issues that would naturally arise while you're at her home she answers before you leave your house!! If your bringing a bunch of kids who will sit on their iPads all weekend this is not the place for you (heck, Upstate NY flat out is probably not the place for you). They'll miss the point and you'll miss the fun. But if you want peace and quiet, to see real wild life, hear the galloping of horses next door in the morning (not loud, just enjoyable), and sleep like a rock with that clean mountain air, then look no further. Plus, there is satellite tv and wifi so you still 'can' be connected when necessary. Would highly recommend to families, couples, or even singles looking to have a relaxing night (or five). Personally I woke up very early every morning, looked out the huge kitchen windows to the sprawling forest while making coffee, then sat out on the porch and enjoyed the serenity of it all. Would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone I know. Went in the summer and even though it was 99 degrees in NYC, a fan and the fresh, cool air brought by the trees and open windows made for comfortable sleeping conditions.

Marty was immediately and consistently in contact with me from the time the bid was accepted until I left following my stay. She was thoughtful and helpful in arranging the residence for my visit. As a final touch, I arrived to find a welcoming note and a refrigerator stocked with milk from the Cooperstown Dairy, local bread, eggs and maple syrup. Combined with the blackberries and raspberries I gathered from the yard each evening, breakfast was special whether eaten in the dining room, the enclosed porch or umbrella table on the deck. The rooms are farmhouse simple: Beds, chairs and couches are comfortable, lighting is helpful for the reader, and curtains easily modify the amount of light. Board games, a tiny TV (with an eclectic selection of titles to view) and plenty of interesting coffee table books offer nice diversions. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities were a big surprise. You could easily cook a full Thanksgiving Dinner for ten in the well-appointed kitchen. All the appliances, large and small, and tools necessary are present. There are two bathrooms with plenty of light, mirrors and spacious, walk-in showers with plenty of water-pressure. The basement laundry with new washer and dryer was a bonus. I went home with only clean clothes. The farmhouse is on a street with a few neighbors visible, although the only traffic was early in the morning and after the workday. At night the sky is pitch black. Summit is quite rural and the area does not offer anything other than the most basic breakfast and lunch restaurant and a place to get take-away deli offerings. Cobleskills, host to a SUNY campus, about 20 minutes away, offers additional, limited choices for dining. Cobleskills also has a full size, full service grocery store. My best meals came out of the farmhouse kitchen.

Marty made us feel very welcome in her charming home. The fridge was stocked with maple syrup and other breakfast goodies. After she queried as to our dietary restrictions, she provided organic items from a friend's bakery. She was also very responsive by email when I had questions regarding her property and it's location. We didn't get to enjoy the outdoors because of weather and time, but the home was cozy. The kitchen was remodled very nicely as were the bathrooms. The beds were comfortable too.

Wow!! Such an amazing place to spend an amazing week! First of all my new wife and I were blown away by the amazing scenery and fall colors of the region as we drove into the area. The area is nice and hilly providing surprise views as you drive along the roads. Just the drive itself is a fun escape from the world. Upon arrival we pulled into the driveway, looked at the weathered-rustic siding of the house and went right on in! To look through the whole house was really fun and enjoy the coziness of the house. Yes it is someone else's hoe but I think after day one we were already calling it home. Once we got the fridge and cupboards stocked with food from Tops in nearby Stamford we got cooking in the awesome kitchen stocked with all you need for coffee (unless you like bringing your own Chemex or Aeropress), cast-iron pans, Cutco knives, a KitchenAid and much more. We had an awesome time making delicious meals in the kitchen and then eating them in the cozy dining room. We slept in the downstairs bedroom and out on the beds on the window-porch (super comfy beds on the porch). Plenty of nice bedding and towels too! The bathrooms are both really nice with great cabinetry and tile work. Nice big shower with the fun original claw foot tub. There are neighbors on either side and you don't have a view of the area from the house but the location is still very beautiful and relaxing. Explore the area, take a hike, enjoy the beautiful spot! We got to meet Marty in person as we were packing up to leave at the end of our week and we are so glad we did! Communication over phone was great beforehand but it was a joy meeting and talking with her hearing a bit more about the house and the surrounding area. So check it out and call it home for a weekend or even a week! Cheers!

Marty was amazing from the start. Very open in answering any questions. House was much bigger than I thought. The kitchen is amazing and the house was so fun for my 3 kids. It was like staying at Grandmas house. Property was fun to explore! One morning a deer came and ate apples from the apple tree. The bathrooms are all updated with walk in showers and a claw foot tub. Location is a good mix of seclusion but also close to civilization. There was also so much to do in the area. Coopertown is about an hours drive and we ran into a u pick apple farm on the way. Highly recommend this listing. We WILL be back for sure!

Wonderful stay over the weekend. Lots to do in the area including hiking, sightseeing and winery's. Marty gave us all the information we needed to know and her place was great! Very peaceful and quiet place surrounded by nature. Would stay again!

Jan made me feel most welcome in her lovely home which is just as shown in the photos. The house is amazing with views sweeping down the hillside to the pond and the beautiful scenery beyond. My room was cozy, light and very comfortable. The pond is only a few steps away, but if you prefer the indoor lap pool, you have either choice! There is a lounge and dining area, and the kitchen is stocked with anything you could want for preparing meals. Parking is abundant in the private driveway. The porch is a great place to sit surrounded by flowers and with more beautiful views. Perfect place for a stay in the area. Easy to travel to (by car), and extremely comfortable, well decorated, and cared for. A very relaxing time! Thanks Jan!

Staying at the Pond House was a wonderful experience. What a refreshing get away for me and my canine friend! The pool and pond were pristine. The kitchen is well-appointed with everything that a chef would need to prepare a gourmet meal. The stunning interior design made for a soothing yet interesting encounter. Everything was spotless and well thought out. I enjoyed the valley views and local markets for fresh meat and veggies. The pond house was a perfect getaway, with a location that allowed us to completely ignore the world for a few days. Evenings were spend grilling outside and relaxing by the pond, looking at the beautiful view over the tree tops. The local farm shops allowed us to cook the freshest, most tasty food. When we first arrived we saw a baby deer by the pond, which was a great welcome party. Everything we needed was in the house for 3 couples (and a dog). Would happily go back for another relaxing trip.

Jan's house is beautiful! It's a bit of a trek from the city, but very relaxing and the decor felt like an episode of mad men. We loved it and loved swimming in the pond with our dog. The kitchen was great for cooking as well. Can't wait to come back.

We had such a wonderful stay at Jan's house! From swimming in the pool to cozying up by the fire or walking around the peaceful yard it was all wonderful. Very nice, large well equipped kitchen. Hope to make it back when we can enjoy the pond!

My family and I decided to book The Rocks during President's wknd for a chill and relaxed trip that everyone could enjoy. Fortunately, the house was all we hoped for. Perfect place to spend time with the family including my one year old niece. Plenty of space for everyone, lots of books and decor/antiques, conveniently offers 2.5 bathrooms, two fireplaces, well equipped kitchen and 3 adorable cats! So many positives that will overrule any negative. The huge backyard is a plus! Joe made a bonfire for us that we really enjoyed during the sunset. My whole family loved staying at The Rocks. Only downside could be location but this is pretty much self explanatory when visiting upstate. Thank you Joe and Mary for everything!!

Joe and Mary were so kind and inviting. My boyfriend and I needed a winter getaway and this was just the place. The property is situated with beautiful views overlooking a valley and other farms, and inside is full of beautiful antiques, art, and wood-burning stoves!! Is also very easy to get to and from Albany. Would love to stay here again!

As a city dweller, I was in need of some country time R & R. I was traveling alone, so I wanted to pick a beautiful location where I could rent room, and not an entire house. The Rocks was the perfect answer. I had a beautiful, cosy bedroom in a comfortable farmhouse from the 1700's, on a spectacular property in the Schoharie Valley, with rolling hills beyond. I loved every walk there at all times of day, and the stars at night. Mary and Joe are excellent hosts, and I enjoyed the time we shared together. I had access to the living room by the fire, the dining room by the fire, and the friendly kitchen. The house has four more bedrooms. I look forward to returning with friends in all the seasons.

Great place to stay. Quiet atmosphere, and the owners are very accommodating and friendly. My son and I stayed there while we took a workshop at SUNY Cobleskill. Convenient commute, and we were very comfortable the whole time.

Joseph and Mary were very communicative and helpful. They took great care of our large party while also giving us the space we were looking for. The house is very cool and had plenty of room for our group of 8 plus a dog. Would love to have the chance to stay there again.

Doug's place is in a quiet neighbourhood. Its an excellent house which is very clean and has all the things you need to have a perfect vacation.the photos in the entry doesnt do justice. You have large space in front of the house for your pets to run..or for you to hang out. The neighbourhood is (URL HIDDEN) bring some good movies and enjoy the it with good sound system of the house. Best place for dine is at Cobleskill Diner..excellent food. DOUG is an excellent host...quick enough to come and show us around....We will love to come back in spring or summer....

The place was amazing, it looked just as good as it did on the pictures, and the amenities were great as well. Doug was fantastic as well.

We had a great stay with our dogs! The home was very clean, updated, and comfortable. The setting/land was beautiful and idyllic with fantastic views. We even did some snow sledding in the yard. We loved the fireplace, satellite tv and surround sound. The home did smell of smoke, which did not bother us, but might be a concern for some. Doug was a fantastic, welcoming and helpful host and we hope to return to this property again.

The house was very spacious , clean and cozy. We loved the granite and marble countertops throughout the home. Knowing the house is smoke friendly we anticipated a strong odor which was present. We brought scented candles and incense which definitely took away the cigarette smell. Doug was a great host and we will definitely go back.

Carol and Robert's home is lovely. We had two adult couples, a single adult, and a toddler stay in the home for wedding festivities one weekend. Carol and Robert were super communicative. Finding and getting into the house was easy. We were greeted by guides and goodies upon opening the house. Each room had a window air conditioner so we were very comfortable even on really hot days. The parking was easy and fit both of our cars quite easily. The backyard had a lovely dining table and lounging area where we ate our breakfast. They also provided Keurig coffee. Their kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you'd need to make food at home.

Carol and Robert were wonderful hosts! My family enjoyed both the lovely country home and the quaint town of Sharon Springs. It was a short 30 minute drive to Cooperstown, which was our main objective of our trip. We greatly appreciated all the information that Carol and Robert left us as well as the little Welcome Bag!

This was my first Airbnb rental, and wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I couldn’t have had a better experience. Carol and Robert were fantastic hosts. Upon arriving at the house, we were welcomed with a gift bag filled with all the essentials…K-cups for the morning coffee, pancake mix to start off breakfast, tons of brochures about the area attractions and a complimentary bottle of wine. I was blown away. The house exceeded all expectations. The pictures don’t do it justice. The entire house appears to have undergone a recent remodel. Everything is immaculate. The bathrooms / bedrooms are fantastic. The location couldn’t be beat. It’s about a 2 minute (no exaggeration) walk to the heart of Sharon Springs. I’m already planning a return visit to Sharon Springs and this is the only place I will stay.

My friend Lisa and I decided to celebrate our 50th birthdays in Sharon Springs so that we could attend the Harvest Festival in mid-September and visit the Beekman Farm, and it was one of the best vacations we've ever had. A big part of the success of our trip was staying at the White House. This was by far the best rental experience I've ever had. Everything was perfect--from the *excellent* communication with Carol letting me know about the house, activities in town, places to go, etc. to the amenities in the White House. They provide *everything* you will need and more, even Beekman 1802 lotion! The house is so clean and beautiful and centrally located. We look forward to going back!

My family and I had an amazing stay at the White House on Main. It is a beautiful home in a really cool small town. Carol and Robert left us a wonderful bottle of wine and breakfast treats and plenty of information about the surrounding area. It stormed on our first night and the cable/internet was knocked out but they were able to get it fixed incredibly quickly. They were great to communicate with and left clear instructions for everything. We would highly recommend a stay in this awesome house. A huge perk is the proximity to Beekman 1802 (which is my new favorite store!!) Thank you Carol and Robert for the wonderful stay!!

Lovely, spotless, comfortable home just a few doors down from all the Sharon Springs shops and restaurants. Delightful, enthusiastic hosts who welcomed us with hospitality and terrific info, though they host from afar. We enjoyed the White House with another couple after attending a dinner at the Beekman Farm. The next two blissful days spent reading books on the porch and meandering to the Black Cat for meal after meal. Heaven. Thank you!

The house is charming and a very convenient location in Sharon Springs. The owners were very helpful and responsive. The two bedrooms are quite comfortable, the bumpus room is best suited for a child with a small uncomfortable bed and low ceiling. A few items prospective renters should be aware of: first the house has AC window units for cooling and they are incredibly loud. Second, apparently a long term renter lives in the house and vacates for short term rentals so there's personal belongings throughout the house as well as left over food in the frig and freezer. We were told to just shove it aside to make room or go ahead and eat it if we wanted. Found that a bit disgusting frankly. Oh, and when leaving you have to strip the beds and take out the trash and recycling. If we went back to Sharon Springs we'd probably opt for the American Hotel or a B n B, about the same cost.

We had a wonderful stay in Middleburgh. The farmhouse is charming and well equipped. The caretakers were very responsive and helpful; they quickly responded to to our requests, and even brought us coffee!

Corey and the caretakers are extremely hospitable, and did everything to ensure we had a nice stay. We were four couples with small children, and they even bought a pack n' play for my daughter. The farm and surroundings are beautiful. I found the place more rustic than the photos let on (which was to my delight, as it gave it more charm), but thus perhaps a bit overpriced. Also the bedrooms don't have curtains or shutters, which might be problematic for those who like to sleep late.

Our stay at Corey's home was perfection. The house is so comfortable and beautiful and the property is breathtaking. We had the absolute best time!

Lovely house in a lovely setting. The main house is wonderful and comfortable - there are 5 beds there. The secondary house is, on the other hand, much more rustic and less comfortable. The hosts were extremely responsive and friendly.

This property is a perfect vacation house for large groups. 10 of us spent a summer weekend in the house and enjoyed our stay very much. Both Main house and Guest house are very clean and cozy. The Kitchen is fully equipped and you can find everything you need there. What we loved the most and made this property so unique is the big barn they have. The barn is like a huge party house and its inside looks amazing. We spent 2 whole nights in the barn and had lots of fun there. Highly recommended!

Amazing house! Private and beautiful with amazing views of cornfields and mountains. Very stylish and the kitchen is amazing. We had such a relaxing time and loved picking up groceries from the local farm stand. Corey always replied promptly and provided a great list of things to do in the area. The caretakers Rhonda and her husband greeted us to show the property and were available in case we needed anything (they don't live on the property). All around such a relaxing and fun weekend!

We loved our time at the farm house. The property is so beautiful in the snow and the house is the perfect place to cozy up for the holidays. Corey makes it so easy for us to settle right in. Thanks for another wonderful trip!

Sharon was an excellent host; very friendly and welcoming. She made sure everything was set and in order so our stay was easy and comfortable. Beautiful, quiet country setting that was easy to find.

Very private and beautiful location. Quite clean and large. Tina was very communicative before and during the stay.

Tina was an amazing host and also the owner of a beautiful property. My husband and I throughly enjoyed our weekend away with our pups. The house is very large with lots of space to relax, eat, and cook indoors. The outdoor space is out of this world gorgeous with a pond and deck with Adirondack chairs, views of rolling hills, a huge lawn in front and back, and luxurious lounge chairs to read in and bask in the sun. We also loved the covered porch to read, eat, enjoy a glass of rosé, and relax on. The house is also very close to Mine Kills Park with free access to an Olympic swimming pool. We also followed the beverage trail, visiting distilleries and breweries including Barbers, Green Wolf, and Kymar. We bought delicious local vegetables and cooked them in Tina's spacious and well equipped kitchen. There's even a nespresso machine! We ended our trip hiking up to Vroman's Nose, a short quick hike up to an expansive view point. We had a really great time and would go back in a heart beat.

Tina and William were excellent hosts. They welcomed us into their home and truly made us feel comfortable in their space. Their land is beautiful and the home is extremely well equipped with everything you would need in order to feel at home and relaxed. It is evident that they have put a lot of love and care into of every nook and cranny of their home. We loved every moment of our stay and highly recommend this getaway :)

Gorgeous farmhouse indeed! My family and I loved staying at the tranquil, clean gorgeous farmhouse. The outdoor space available is huge and very private. The view from the property is stunning! We couldn't time it better with the fall colors! We will definitely be back! Thank you Tina for sharing your place!

Everything was great with our stay with Tina. The house was perfect for our weekend getaway. The property is very private and secluded so we were able to relax and enjoy what the property had to offer.

The host made us feel very welcome. We loved the farm house and it was perfect for our family (7 adults and 1 toddler 1 baby). The setting is secluded and peaceful. The property is well maintained and magical. Tina was extremely responsive. We did not have any trouble with the wifi or any of the amenities. One thing to mention is the office upstairs does not have a pull out couch. We thought this was the case and one guest slept on the couch rather than a sofa bed. This was our error. We will definitely come back. Thanks for such an enjoyable weekend!
