  • The place was stylish and cozy. We loved how clean everything was and the fireplace furnace was a huge bonus. KC and her husband are super nice and hospitable. They gave us great recommendations around town and were great air bnb hosts.

  • Light-filled, spacious spot. Close to Hudson with a beautiful view of rolling pastures out the back. The house was a bit chilly, but Kyralesa provided a space heater that kept the bedroom at a good temperature. Our hosts were kind and accommodating—we would happily return!

    Rosalie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The fireplace is really fun!

    Nick2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Kyrakesa s place is the ideal escape from the city. The wood burning stove makes a winters night warm and relaxing. Highly recommend it.

    Gregory2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The place was perfect for our needs of a couple’s quick weekend getaway from the city. Great standalone fireplace w wood stocked, artful decorations, comfy bed up in a loft. And quick easy drive to town. KC and Paul were fantastic hosts, helpful and accessible as needed.

    Chris2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Kyralesa's place is extremely spacious and a very convenient 8 min drive to Hudson. The bedroom with large skylight is an especially nice touch.

    Sydney2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication, far enough from town to get a little peace and quiet. The space has everything you need to feel comfortable.

    Sarah2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a marvelous time! The house is beautiful and cozy, filled with mesmerizing art pieces by Paul.. we particularly enjoyed our idealistic time by the fire place with a glass of wine and stepping out to a patio in the morning with a cup of coffee to enjoy the view and the crisp fall air.. KC and Paul are wonderful hosts - welcoming and attentive, and KC’s prompt responses and suggestions for things to see/do in the area were very helpful. We’d love to come back and maybe try an in-house massage we didn’t get a chance to experience this time :) highly recommended!

Charming, casual & comfortable country home with front porch, enclosed back porch on 1/2 acre. Lane has 3 houses on a dead-end quiet road. Three miles from historic city of Hudson with fine dining, art galleries & antiques. Minutes from Taconic Parkway & Lake Taconic. Less than hour by car to Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, and the Catskill Mountains. Two hour Amtrak ride from Hudson to NYC. I will be available via phone, text or email & can be at property within minutes if needed.
My home was initially purchased by my parents & moved to its current location at 17 Homestead Lane in 1969. My husband and I purchased the home from my parents in 1995. This summer, I felt it was time to list my home on Airbnb. Only 3 miles to Hudson, known as one of “the coolest small cities,” my neighborhood includes a small farm for rescue animals and is minutes away from some of Columbia County’s most picturesque locations, popular farm stands, historic Olana, the Catskills, and the mighty Hudson River.
I love living in this serene spot within minutes of shopping specialty stores and fine dining on Warren Street in Hudson. Hopefully, my guests will enjoy the beauty of the area and my country home as much as I do.
  • Nancy’s home was a wonderful place to unwind while in Hudson. The house exudes warmth, character, and charm and felt so comfortable from the moment we stepped foot inside. The beds were cozy, plenty of fresh towels and thoughtful touches. It exceeded our expectations. Even though we have been to Hudson many times before, it was nice to have a book of recommendations just in case we wanted something a little different, which Nancy provided. The home is situated 11 minutes from downtown Hudson, making it a perfect place to relax while still being close enough to enjoy everything the town has to offer. Thank you Nancy for a truly wonderful space.

    Tara2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful country home in a beautiful neighborhood. It's a short walk to commune with a stream or watch the neighbor's donkeys. The furniture is extremely comfortable. All of it. The kitchen chairs. The dining room chairs. The beds. The couches. It is a great place to relax with a large family and not be on top of each other. We really enjoyed hanging out in this really well appointed house, which was warm, while the cold wind blew outside. And, the host provided many, many special touches that made us feel very welcome.

    Vera2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy’s place is amazing. It is the ideal country house. She was a superb host. The amenities she provides are top notch. Nancy also responds very quickly to any questions you have about her home. My family and I look forward to booking with her next year for our annual trip to Hudson. I encourage you to book with her you will not be disappointed.

    John2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy’s space was set in a beautiful location and exactly as described in the listing. The bedrooms were nice sizes and the commons areas were very comfortable.

    Nicole2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean older home in quiet neighborhood. Nancy left plenty of towels, blankets & other comfort items and even had some eggs for us in the refrigerator! All three beds were very comfortable. I love that the house has filtered well water that is better than anything you could buy. Quick & attentive communication. I would book here again without hesitation!

    Maria2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This house is magical! There’s so much space with rooms to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the surrounding area. The beds were so comfortable and Nancy provided extra blankets for the chillier nights. My coworkers and I came up to Hudson to visit friends and it was the perfect weekend for it! The fall foliage was in full bloom and Nancy’s house provided MULTIPLE porches for us to enjoy the falling leaves :) Although Nancy was out of town during our time here she was very communicative and we really wished we could’ve met her! A reason to return! Thank you so much Nancy ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

  • I would highly recommend staying at Ilya's place. There is an Old World feel to it, while simultaneously offering modern decor and amenities. The toasty fireplace will keep you warm and toasty even on a cold winter night! Ilya was very easy to talk to, and made me feel right at home. I also want to add that Hudson was beyond anything I could have imagined - if you love antiques, history and a town that prides itself in restoring old building to accommodate world-class cafes, artisanal shops and restaurants then this is the place for you to visit!

    Ibela2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very grand! A real old American experience with all the modern comfort. The room was extremely comfortable and Ilja a very nice and helpful host. Hudson is just down the road and a very cute town.

    Alexandre2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Loved, loved, loved our stay! We decided to go up to Hudson on the spur of the moment during our daughters' midwinter break. Ilija's beautiful home, the Catherine Bushnell Mansion, a historical landmark, looked very appealing. The rooms seemed very well appointed and tastefully designed. We were not disappointed. The room was impeccably clean. The best part: the in-room fireplace which made for a very cozy stay on a cold and wintry day. Our host was very thoughtful in providing amenities such as toiletries, microwave, small refrigerator and our favorite: several warm throws and plenty of extra blankets and down comforters. He also provided coffee, teas, bottled water and cookies in the charming kitchen. Ilja was incredibly helpful and present. He was very responsive and gave great tips about where to eat and what to see and do around Hudson. When you go, take his advice and go to Hudson Food Studio and Le Perche. We discovered Verdigris which has to-die-for hot chocolate. Already planning our summer and fall visits, and hope Ilija's is available!

    Treg2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Iija’s home is beautiful! It’s a quick drive into town and extremely cozy. When we arrived there was a fire burning in our room and a punch of cookies in the kitchen to eat. They really went out of their way to make us happy and comfortable. I’d highly recommend!

    Wendy2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place and great host. Ilja provided lots of information and is an incredibly friendly host. The room was nicely sized for our 3 person family (2 adults + 1 child). Dining room, lounge and other areas were shared. Close to Hudson and we were not disappointed by the recommended dining options. Overall, highly recommended! Thanks again Ilya.

    Christian2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! We were cozy in our double queen bed room. Location was great! Hosts were great. A lovely weekend!

    Cindy2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Ilja’s. He was extremely welcoming right from our arrival and gave us great suggestions for restaurants and nightlife. Our room was very clean and it was located on the opposite side of the house which gave us privacy. The house itself is located about a 5 minute drive outside of the main town area on a nice piece of property. It was nice to be surrounded by the quiet!

    Daniela2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Ilja’s home! Both he and Julius were extremely accommodating and made us feel right at home. The mansion is beautiful with lots of lovely historic details. The room was very comfortable and felt secluded enough from the rest of the house. The location feels very rural, yet you’re only about ten minutes away from downtown Hudson. Ilja and Julius were even so kind as to give us a ride into town. Highly recommend and hoping to stay again!

We are just a 10 minute drive from Hudson's bustling Warren Street in the historic hamlet of Claverack. We live on the property, but our guesthouse is separate and private. It's all surrounded by our 2 1/2 acre garden, which is our passion as well as our profession.
Our Sears & Roebuck kit house sleeps 2-3 people. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath w/tub & shower. Both bedrooms are bright and sunny. The blue room has a double bed (firm Sealy posture-pedic mattress with a pillow-top cover), and the green room has a single bed - guests have told us that both beds are very comfortable. There are feather/down pillows in both bedrooms, and we try to use vintage linens when possible. Kitchen is equipped with fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, electric skillet and electric kettle. Sorry, but washer and dryer are not for guests' use.
We are in the historic district of Claverack called "the hamlet". Along our road you'll find some of the county's most beautiful early homes. And as we are 5 minutes from Hudson's bustling Warren Street, you can enjoy all the shops, restaurants, galleries, and entertainment that Hudson has to offer, from a peaceful and bucolic home base.
  • This place was beautiful! The hosts were so great and hospitable. They left us some delicious scones and helped us bring our bags inside. We felt very welcomed and our stay coulden’t have been any better.

    Alice2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time at Peter and Stephen’s garden cottage. Their home is cozy and comfortable, full of beautiful books, art, and vintage treasures. The garden is a peaceful retreat. We cannot wait to return.

    Lisa2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Peter and Stephen were incredible hosts and went out of their way to direct us to local haunts and ensure we were comfortable at all times. Their home is magnificently well appointed with a fully stocked kitchen, a vast library and a beautiful and tranquil garden. My boyfriend and I were particularly amazed by the garden and took many photos of the myriad flowers and trees. I have stayed with other Superhosts in the past, but Peter is on a different level altogether.

    Anisha2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • I was looking forward to the Hudson portion of our New England fall trip but was completely thrilled by our hosts. They met us in the driveway and carried our bags into the guesthouse. The gardens are beautiful! The house was meticulously clean, full of character and the bathroom was well stocked with towels. Peter had beverages, snacks, fruit, and breakfast items waiting for us. Everything about the communication, personal touches and the space itself was amazing. I would very highly recommend staying here if you're visiting the Hudson area.

    Colleen Burns2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed at Peter’s for a quick weekend getaway. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and given some great local recommendations for food. The property is very conveniently located a short 5 minute drive from the town of Hudson, and the gardens are absolutely beautiful. One of the highlights of our stay was walking through them in the morning! We would definitely stay again when we revisit the area.

    Andrew2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Peter and Stephen’s property must be seen to be believed. It’s as if my husband and I were staying in our own private park. The beauty and comfort of their garden is wonderfully complimented by the house itself, which is charming, creatively decorated, and very relaxing. As hosts, Peter and Stephen were very accommodating, providing helpful recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. We especially appreciated the level of respect and privacy they maintained; at no point did either my husband or I feel intrusive or intruded upon. We had a wonderful time. Definitely recommend this place, and hope to be back soon!

Small House - Big Hospitality! Spend a quiet, cozy night in our charming circa-1911, Craftsman cottage. We are just one mile from historic Warren Street, Hudson’s food, antique & gallery center. Stay close to everything while enjoying privacy, the "most comfortable bed", & a full breakfast. Two nearly identical rooms with a shared a bath in the hallway between. Also full access to the living room, dining room and sunny enclosed front porch. We’re pet friendly too! Bring yours or enjoy ours!
  • Paul’s place was great! The bed was really comfortable, and Paul made us breakfast both mornings which was really nice and delicious (he even accommodated our vegetarian diets!) It’s close to town by car, and he gave lots of advice for local things to check out. Great value and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice affordable place to stay with a great host!

    Michael2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Paul and Francesca were very warm and welcoming. Paul went out of his way to accommodate my dog, Gia. He spent hours chillin' with her, which was a real godsend. Gia also got to hang with Francesca's dog, Grumby (?not sure if I spelled that right?) who is pretty awesome. Paul whipped up a veggie breakfast for me since I don't eat eggs or meat....he's clearly a foodie, and the presentation was A+. I would definitely recommend this for anyone traveling solo or with pets.

    Padmini2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Paul’s place is fine. It is fairly priced and convenient. Paul is extremely gracious and his home is charming. He even offers to cook breakfast! Do yourself a favor and engage Paul in conversation ! He is very interesting with lots of life experiences. I would stay there again

    Mary Jo2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Paul’s hospitality was top notch! His commitment to providing quality service for your stay was a highlight unmatched by other Airbnb hosts. The room itself is very simple. It’s a bed, a chair, a nightstand. Perfect if you are really just looking for a place to sleep at night. I will say the bed is amazing!! Which can be the downfall of many Airbnb experiences for me. Paul was also happy to whip up an incredible breakfast feast both mornings we were there, accommodating our vegetarian diet. The love put into our food made the whole experience unforgettable. Paul is hoping to open his own bed and breakfast some day, and it shows in his culinary prowess. Breakfast and the bed itself were the highlights. Perfect for what we needed for a two night stay! The location is also just a few min drive to the Main Street of Hudson. Very convenient! Note: he does have many dogs. They can be a bit noisy in the backyard. If you are a light sleeper, this may be of issue. I slept through the night, but my partner woke up a couple times the first evening there. The next night he slept with ear plugs. He didn’t mind and overall this was very minor for us. We will be coming back next time we’re in Hudson :)

    Serena2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Good location, quick and easy communication with Paul when arriving and staying at the place. Great tips about local restaurants and bars. Over all a great experience!

    Elsa2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Through the front door into a different world. Beautiful rooms, decor, antiques, art, and great conversations with Paul and his wife. He does cook up an amazing breakfast: guaranteed to have the best scrambled eggs ever (á la Julia!). We had a great visit there.

    Bob2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Paul was a very friendly host. He loves to cook and insisted on making me breakfast and coffee each morning. They both lead interesting lives and I enjoyed their company as well as the company of their animals. Great value and a relaxing stay.

    Erik2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place, great hospitality and local tips! A little bit away from the downtown area but it was an easy walk or cab ride. Yummy homemade breakfast too.

  • Staying at Sophie’s was such a fun and unique way to celebrate our anniversary. Her dad gave a a private tour and tasting of the distillery and it was fabulous!! The waterfall views from the farm house window are so serene and the food scene in Hudson as well as Ghent are Devine. Also The beds are so comfortable. Had a very restful sleep because of this. Thanks to all at Olde York Distillery!!! We will return when the 4 bottles we purchased are emptied:)

  • My friends and I had a wonderful stay at this property. The space was wonderful, the area beautiful and the distillery tour and drinks a great time. The hosts, Sophie and Rory, made our stay very welcoming and inviting. Go, you won’t be disappointed!

  • We didn’t have a chance to stay here, as our circumstances changed right before the start of our stay. However, I found our communication with Sophie to be exceptionally clear. Sophie went out of her way to help us out and was a pleasure to work with.

  • Quiet location. Spacious with comfy beds. Has a small toaster oven to make grilled cheese. Nice oranges and yoghurt for breakfast treats. The bar is open on weekends which is lovely. Big lounge area. Stuart was a great tour guide of the whisky distillery.

  • Absolutely great place to stay for a night, 2 nights, a week, or an extended period like I'm doing for November. Great welcoming people in the family and if you're joining them for food, it is excellent.

  • A wonderful, quiet corner of Hudson/Greenport with easy access to the greater Columbia and Greene County area. Paul and his wife are a wealth of information about all the hidden gems that dot the Upper Hudson Valley. That is not to mention Paul's cooking, which is second to none. We cannot thank them enough for their hospitality.

    Alexander2019-10-14T00:00:00Z

This unique space has a loft provides a sitting area over the main house living space with large windows overlooking the park like yard and creek, where you may enjoy reading, many games or a quiet space to work, down a short hallway and is completely private master suite with walk in closet, full bath and lovely bedroom area. We provide coffee, tea, snacks, Keurig machine, cutlery, microwave and mini fridge to make your stay cozy and like home. Babysitting may also be provided!
Once inside you feel as though you are in an Adirondack cabin, with quaint coastal decor, the loft area provides a nice sitting, play and game room that overlooks the main living space and put the large windows to the park like acres and the creek. The owners are lovely and kind and invite their guests to feel free to use the main kitchen l, patio areas, bbq pit, and canoe if they'd like. If you are needing more of a private stay that is absolutely possible as well as the home is typically a very quiet place to be and the loft bedroom suite is secluded and has just about everything one needs to be able to stay in and work and find peace and quiet, but I do highly recomend sitting and enjoying some time by the beautiful creek.
This is on a semi secluded street away from any main roads but only a 10 minute drive to Hudson's popular Warren street, as well as 20 min to Caramount, 3 min drive to Olde York Distillery. There are many hiking trails, restaurants, farms and wineries as well, just ask and i will be happy to give you recommendations.

Enjoy sipping hot cocoa by the warm wood stove as you're blanketed in a handmade quilt from India. Relax with a soak in the deep cedar hot tub, and end the evening sitting around the outdoor fire pit. A seven-minute drive to Warren st, the heart of Hudson and just minutes away from groomed cross-country trails and less than thirty minutes to downhill skiing. This perfect rustic Classic Farmhouse on over 8 acres of laws and woods ensures your privacy for a perfect winter retreat. Cozy bedrooms and a large open downstairs makes the house perfect for large gatherings of friends or family.
Come enjoy your lovely old farm house. We live here most of the time with our two kids. We love to travel and we make the space available to others when we are away. Our huge yard is great for relaxing while the kids run amok. It is all very private with the nearest neighbors well out of shouting range. We have regular visits from deer and wild turkeys so keep a look out. Our in ground pool is perfect on a hot day. Kids will have a great time in the yard. We have a tennis court (not currently in use) where younger kids can ride bikes or shoot baskets. If you want to really explore the property there is plenty of room to roam. Our road is also great for walking through farm land. Our house is an old farm house that we have been restoring. If you love old houses you will love this one. It has two stair cases and a series of connected rooms. The master bedroom and bath has its own stair case although you can sneak through to other rooms via a low doorway. The living room has a nice wood stove and plenty of space for relaxing. There is a TV and stereo with speakers everywhere. We love to cook and the kitchen has everything you will need to cook up a feast of local delights. We will leave you a long list of places to pick up local veggies and meats. The master bed is spacious with windows on 3 sides and a queen size bed. Our second and third and fourth bedrooms have double beds. The downstairs bedroom has a double bed adjacent to the screened in porch perfect for cozy night in the summer. Kittle road is one of the most beautiful roads to venture down. Less than 1/2 mile out from our long driveway is gorgeous farm land, super serene jogging, biking and walking. Artists and photographers come to capture scenes which we have posted in photos at the end of our listing. We are sure you will love our home as much as we do. We are from Hudson and we will leave you information on all of our favorite places to eat, hike, visit and explore. We know you will have a great time.
The farmhouse location is well-suited for those looking to explore the city of Hudson as well as the surrounding countryside. Go for long scenic hikes and bike rides along the trails and visit the many restaurants, shops, and galleries nearby.
  • We had a wonderful time getting away from the city. The home had everything we needed and the hot tub is great. A heads up, it is a farmhouse so you may have some little friends join you in the home when it gets cold.

    Patrick2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay here! Very comfortable, warm, private. Close to Hudson, skiing, good restaurants. Hosts were gracious and accommodating.

  • Wonderfully charming house for a friend weekend getaway. Enjoyed the hot tub and space.

    Elisa2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great house to spend a cozy winter weekend at with friends. We loved having indoor and outdoor fires, hitting the hot tub, cooking in the big farm kitchen and having plenty of room to eat at the big dining room table. Check-in was super easy and Sam was very communicative. We'll be back in the summer to hit the pool.

    Megan2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely farmhouse is a gem. I came with a group for an upstate birthday getaway, and it was everything we hoped for and more. The house has genuine vintage character with modern upgrades (new wood burning stove, new hot tub) and plenty of space for cooking, dining and lounging. When we had a question Sam responded by calling me within 5 minutes of sending my message and was so helpful. We would love to come back in the summer for a pool weekend too.

    Julie2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had a pleasant stay at Sam and Laura's rustic farmhouse. We especially appreciated the cozy living room; easy check-in and departure process; the house's easy-to-use Sonos system; great hot tub; the quick drive to Hudson; and the peace, quiet, and privacy of the property which made for a relaxing stay. Parts of the house were a little dated and the house creaks a bit but we personally found that those features added to the charm. Would definitely recommend for a larger group wanting modern conveniences and rustic charm near Hudson.

    Matt2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Hot tub was a highlight - as well as the proximity to town whilst feeling in the middle of nowhere. A refreshing stay!

    Will2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay! Laura and Sam were excellent hosts and they even left fresh veggies from the market. I would definitely recommend this place for a stay in Hudson.

  • Incredible property! It felt like home away from home. Close to everything, but a an oasis in and of itself. Hope to be back!

    Deborah2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed in a lot of airbnbs. Each one was lovely, thankfully. But this one. This one is THE tits. The grounds and home are exquisite, a federalist plantation that makes you feel a thousand miles from anywhere...yet 10 minutes from the bustle of Hudson (and 4 minutes from grocery, wine store, etc). The pool is massive and has chairs o' plenty, tilting umbrellas and wide stairs for wading and for young children to practice their swimming skills! The creek at the bottom of the property is superb for adventuring and taking a dip, the outdoor dining area is lovely overlooking a cattail-edged pond. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, the kitchen is huge, the living area is warm and cozy. The veranda has gorgeous wisteria hanging from edge to edge and is a heavenly place to sit and relax. Erika is an amazing chef, cooked two superb meals for us. The caretakers, Valeria and Jarek took such good care of the property inside and out and cooked us a lovely breakfast. We never wanted and hardly needed to leave. We can't wait to go back!

Stay in a gorgeous, sanitized, former 1800's ice house, newly renovated & expanded to make a modern, light-filled, pastoral retreat, less than 10 minutes to Hudson. Wander 25 acres & discover the pond, apple orchard, woods (find our gnomes!), & fields of wild flowers. If there's snow, x-country ski or snowshoe. Sit on the roof deck & enjoy views of the Catskills, or our pond, framed by graceful willows and reeds. Or stay cozy & appreciate views, birds, & wildlife, from the huge picture windows.
*Given the current Corona situation, we have added more time between visitors to ensure the most thorough disinfecting possible. Our caretaker meticulously cleans all surfaces, door handles, hand rails, linens, keys, and any other high touch areas) between guests.* This is an architect-owned and designed house, that was just completed. After years of looking for the perfect upstate property, this came on the market and we knew we'd finally found it! The land is spectacular and the house had so much history and promise. The renovation was a labor of love and the final result is something we could not be happier with. This is an ideal country retreat, with plenty of food/activity options within close driving distance. Hudson's main street, Warren Street, is only a six-minute drive. The house itself is airy and open and perfect for families and couples to gather, cook, and relax in. Although the inside of the house is complete, we still have some ongoing outdoor projects (like the patio) and construction materials that won't be complete/gone until spring. Please note that two of the sleeping areas (lofts) do not have doors separating them from below (but you can not see up into them even without doors). If two couples are sharing their stay, the master suite is in it's own house with a door separating it from all the living spaces below the big loft.
We used to be part of a farm/orchard and there is still an apple orchard, Philip Orchards, a few hundred meters down the road. Hudson is less than 10 minutes away. Catamount skiing is apprx. 20 minutes away and Windham is about 45 minutes. There are multiple farms and farm stands, distilleries, hiking, and charming upstate towns only quick jaunts away. If you have a few days at the house to explore the area, we aren't too far from Berkshire amenities.
  • Dan and Anna's beautiful Ice House is the perfect blend of style and comfort set in the most picturesque and quiet location - just minutes away from everything Hudson has to offer. This unique home has a fascinating history and we so appreciated that Dan and Anna chose to honor that history in the renovation. Thoughtful touches are everywhere - from the very comfortable beds and pillows to a welcome gift and thoughtful notes on where to find things around the home. Furnishings are comfortable and stylish without being fussy. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a great supply of staples at the ready. The home is spotless and Dan and Anna have thoughtfully provided everything you might need. Our favorite time was spent in the living space looking out the amazing picture window at the serene pond - scanning for wildlife and enjoying the beautiful view as the sunlight shifted. The home is very quiet despite not being far from route 9H - at night you hear nothing but the occasional coyote. (Yes, we heard them - more than one for sure - crazy for us city slickers!) We can't wait to return to see the property thru the seasons - when the weather is warm enough to enjoy the roof deck, patio and grill and to see the orchard trees in bloom. As a frequent traveler and fan of Airbnb, I can honestly say this was one of the best rental experiences I've enjoyed to date. The communication with Dan and Anna was easy and I appreciated their thoughtful check in's to make sure all was well with our stay. I would recommend The Ice House to anyone looking for an escape to upstate - quiet and removed yet minutes from the restaurants and shops of Hudson. Thank you, Dan and Anna, for sharing your beautiful home with us - we look forward to visiting again soon! Mia & friends NYC, NY

  • Such a beautiful and comfortable home. Great views, well decorated and overall great spot for a weekend getaway. Will be back.

    Colin2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fantastic and relaxing weekend! The house (and huge plot of land on which it’s located) is gorgeous, renovated very stylishly and modern, but still possessing its old charm. The windows were stunning and gave the house ample natural light. It’s clear that a lot of love and thought went into the renovation/remodel. Daniel and Ana were thoughtful and completely available. Loved the tea and local honey they left for us! Coffee fixins being available was also a huge plus, along with a good selection of games for a fun time with family or friends. Beds were super comfy and the bathrooms made showering feel downright luxurious. The house is close enough to town (8 mins or so) that it’s convenient for outings, but far enough removed that you feel isolated. Can’t wait to come back!

  • We found the perfect upstate getaway for our little family. Yes the house is spotless, decorated and appointed with superb taste and had everything you'd ever need, and frankly, just super cool, but what I loved the most was the stargazing we were able to do. Even though we travel far and wide often, it is rare for us to see the moon and stars the way we could from the Ice House. That we were able to tell our three year old all about the moon and constellations through the huge amazing (and spotlessly clean) windows of the living room and kitchen while holding warm drinks in our hands, without any light pollution or traffic noise, was simply sublime. During the day we basked in the beautiful architecture of the comfortable house, explored the large property including the pond where we skipped rocks on the ice, drove the scenic country roads to taste delicious local fare and visited local farms and museums. On the way home we drove to one of the excellent dairy farms with an honor system farm store where the farmer invited us to walk through the rows of cows in the barn (!!) so my toddler could see the pigs he wanted to see on the other end of the barn. This was no curated farm visit folks, but is the kind of experience that having come to the Ice House has allowed us to have. Our brief stay couldn't have been better, and we can't wait to go back in the spring and fall.

    Caroline2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Ice House is uniquely modern and has open floorplan with big windows surrounded by beautiful views. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider coming back in the near future.

    Katelyn2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • As a frequent weekender in the Hudson Valley, I can honestly say that Daniel's Ice House retreat was the most picturesque, relaxing place I have ever rented in the area. It was such a treat to feel like we were staying off grid while actually being just minutes away from downtown Hudson. The pictures don't even do this place justice. THE WINDOWS! They are absolutely incredible, and it was hard to want to leave the house because it was so lovely to relax and look out at the scenery around. The interior is tastefully decorated. Super clean, very comfortable for our group of 5, well-stocked, uber convenient, and literally STUNNING. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend.

    Kerri2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our Ice House stay was a delightful last minute escape from the city. Dan’s place was awesome - he’s put in some unique and thoughtful touches - and the location couldn’t have been better for our quiet weekend away. Check in was easy, and Dan was very helpful and had great recommendations for the area. We had some fabulous meals (the Bartlett House is great for meals and baked goods), visited Kinderhook farms which is an adorable local farm and farm store, and walked around Art Omi which was really beautiful even in grey weather. Most importantly for us, we loved relaxing in the house. It is so bright (even on dreary days), cozy, warm and lots of great games. A true home away from home. The kitchen was well stocked and just beautiful to cook in. We loved their local goody bag and their house host stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. We will be back!

    Karina2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, the “Ice House” is simply amazing! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect since I was the first official guest, but had high hopes based on the pictures and excellent communication with the host. The house far exceeded expectations and was the perfect mix of country retreat and high-end living. It was clear a lot of thought and care was put into the layout, decor and design. The little touches made it feel like a home and we enjoyed our time around the house as much as exploring the neighboring towns and sights. Speaking of sights, the "Ice House" is surrounded by orchards, nature, markets, picturesque towns, shops, supermarkets and it's 10 minutes from Hudson. The amenities were plentiful including a well-appointed chef's kitchen with high-end range, appliances, dishwasher and cookware - seriously awesome. The stone counter tops, flooring and island were gorgeous. The bathrooms were beautiful and offered amazing showers/baths. The beds were cozy. The house was well stocked with kitchen supplies, toiletries, bedding and even board games. We had friends over one evening and the kitchen and massive dining table made entertaining a breeze. My favorite part of the house had to be the immense windows that immersed us in the landscape and bathed the house in beautiful light throughout the day. The views from every room were awesome and we spent a lot of time checking out the active wildlife, including a bald eagle that we spotted right over the house. On a snowy day, we canceled plans and hung around the house - it felt like we were in a snow globe. From a logistics standpoint, it couldn't have been easier. Dan was very helpful and left great instructions for the house and tips about the area. Looking forward to another visit. This place is magical!

  • We had such a wonderful weekend staying here! Quick drive to downtown Hudson, but totally calm and relaxing. From the very chic living space (upscale and beautiful but very comfortable furnishings, sky high ceilings, wood beams) to the multiple outdoor spaces (upstairs deck overlooking the pond, yard, porch) this is an ideal spot for taking a deep breath and really recharging. Couldn’t have asked for better.

  • This barn home is one of the most memorable airbnb stay we have had. The place is very stylish yet still make you feel at home. It is very new and sparkly clean. My family spent the most relaxing weekend there. One night we bought some food and enjoyed a movie night in. The house is very well equipped with all the amenities we need for a quality weekend: smart TV with netflix, the huge kitchen with all the utensils and cooking tools. The little garden and a pond outside the house are also a nice touch to our weekend getaway. The house is close to everywhere we were planning to go- a short drive to the city center of Hudson, where you can walk around the cute small shops and find great restaurants, fruit farms around Ghent and Germantown. A very strategic location where you're secluded to enjoy the nature and peaceful vibe but close enough to where the action is. Highly recommended!

  • Such a sweet space! Gail clearly put a lot of care into it and the extra touches were really lovely.

  • Fabulous space close to town, with everything you need to stay comfortably and happily for visiting the surrounding area. Spacious and light, we so enjoyed our stay. Gail is absolutely wonderful, generous, thoughtful and everything you need is right there for you. I would stay again and again. Thank you Gail!

  • This place was absolutely perfect! We had a little living room with 2 couches for conversation and reading. It was spacious and very, very clean. We loved the amenities; fridge, coffee, tea, plates and utensils! Even a blow dryer with a diffuser! Gail welcomes us and made herself totally available. And checked on us to make sure we did not need anything. She even left ya fresh muffins to have with our tea. The place was spotless! Which is a huge one for me! We had parking and private entrance. It’s like we had our one little apt in Hudson! It was 4 minutes from the venue we were attending a wedding at and about 10 minutes to Wareen street where all the little restaurants are. Also, 10 minutes to Hudson- Chatham winery. So very conveniently located!!! Loved it and would definitely recommend Gail!!

Hudson is truly remarkable. Complete with world-class restaurants, antiques, great bars, museums, the Hudson Opera House, art, and plenty of great shopping. A short drive (or walk) to downtown (warren st.) which features great shops and antiques stores, never mind fabulous restaurants and a famous music scene (as illustrated by Rolling Stone magazine!). It’s short transit to both the Berkshires and the Catskills. During the season, pick your own apples at Love Apple Orchard; strawberries, raspberries or blueberries at Thompson Finch Farm. Biodynamic produce is available at Hawthorne Valley farm.
  • The best value Airbnb I've ever stayed in. Jennifer and Larry's place was immaculately clean and the photos didn't begin to do justice to the space. Communication with the hosts was prompt and clear. Having a car is best if you're staying here, but it's only a very short drive into town. I would definitely recommend this place to friends passing through Hudson, and I hope to be able to stay here again on my next trip there.

  • Jennifer’s home was awesome. We were the only ones there all weekend. Jennifer and Larry were very quick to respond to our request and made it very easy to check in and out (via lockbox code). Clean, comfy and very roomy. Great stay! A very short drive to Warren Street.

    Wendy2018-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's place is perfect for a visit to Hudson or the surrounding area. It's in a peaceful spot by the cemetary, and only a five-minute drive/cab into town. The house is spacious, comfortable and very well-equipped, and Jennifer and Larry are very communicative and attentive hosts. They even kindly upgraded me to a bigger room, as no-one was booked into it for the weekend. Thanks for a great stay, Jennifer and Larry.

Experience the relaxing country life, only a few minutes from Warren St. Situated on 1.5 acres in Claverack, NY (a hamlet of Hudson), this historic farmhouse was built in 1770. We overlook our neighbors' beautiful organic farm and the Won Dharma meditation center. Ideal for small groups (2 to 4 guests) who want to enjoy the classic Hudson Valley scenery. We rent the 2 bedrooms for one party at a time in order to host a better experience to our guests. Find us on Instagram at @HudsonForecast
Note: This is not a private listing, though we are considerate of prioritizing community spaces for guests. We are a quiet couple simply wanting to share all of the wonderful experiences of Upstate New York. We have 2 bedrooms available upstairs with a shared full bathroom. Downstairs is a newly renovated kitchen, media room, and reading sunroom. Feel free to make yourself at home. We have a small 12 lb pup that is very loving and friendly. Each bedroom is equipped with a new mattress, Brooklinen sheets, and fresh bathrobes and towels. Feel free to use the house's amenities and let us know if you find that you're missing anything: - Nespresso Vertuo Line Coffee - Microwave oven, convection oven, toaster and blender - Tea Kettle and a selection of teas - Milk, Sugar, and Calorie-free sweeteners - Kitchen Utensils, dinnerware, glasses, and mugs - Clothe Steamer, Iron, Hair Dryer - Fast Wireless Internet - Access to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, HBO Go, DirectTV - Sonos soundsystem
We are located within a 10-minute drive to downtown Hudson, which offers boutique shopping and restaurants.

20-minutes from the house are our favorite farm-fresh American restaurants such as the Bartlett House (Ghent), John Andrews (Egremont), and Gaskins (Germantown). If you’re up for nature, there are iconic parks such as Art Omi, Lake Taghkanic State Park, and the High Falls Hiking Trail. For a longer stay, we recommend exploring the Berkshires. You can drive 30 minutes-1hr and explore the contemporary art museum, MASS MoCA, in North Adams. You won't be bored if you're looking for activity! There is always something going on around town.
  • Loved staying here! The house is beautiful, cozy, and stylish. It was very clean as well. Communication with the hosts was easy. A perfect and luxurious getaway!

    Anne2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This home was just terrific in just about every way, thoughtfully and stylishly curated with original art, diverse and interesting books and furnishings. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped (with THREE types of coffeemakers!) and fun to cook in. The TV was huge and the Sonos sound system was excellent in all rooms. The towels and bathrobes were top notch and the beds warm and comfy. Despite being an old farmhouse, it was warm and not the least bit drafty (which old houses can be in the winter.). Hudson is a delightful town with a vibrant and quirky center. We enjoyed meals at Le Gamin and the West Tahgkanic Diner. Eric, our host, was very helpful and communicative and a pleasure to deal with. Highest marks all around.

  • Eric and Bruno were the perfect hosts and they were generous enough to let us be their first entire property guests (much thanks!). I'd happily recommend their place for a countryside getaway with boutique hotel luxury! The period farmhouse has been lovingly updated into a light welcoming stylish home, with excellent modern kitchen, all the mod cons, comfortable bed and high quality towels and sheets. The property sits in large gardens with a view across adjacent farm fields (you will hear a rooster at dawn!), creating an idyllic get away but only a quick jump into Hudson with all its cafes. 2 mins walk away is the great Farm at Miller's Crossing, which sells a wide range of organic veg, milk, eggs and meat - so you can stock with farm to table goodies the moment you arrive. Eric and Bruno were excellent hosts - communication was fast. Looking forward to coming back! John, Dale and Dingo

  • This charming house and garden are like a postcard of Hudson Valley joys: beautiful light, character, amazing vegetable garden, clear pool, and vast expanses of green grass and old trees. I relished hanging out with Teresa and chatting about the local treasures and the joys of finding new ways to use giant zucchini crops. Outstanding hospitality, relaxing environment, and beautiful space.

  • Teresa's place is a lovely respite in the country. The mid-19th century home has a lot of charm, and the room is spacious, and the bed very comfy! Teresa left fresh cut flowers and a pitcher of water in the room, which was very thoughtful. Her breakfasts (included in the price) were hearty and yummy. Overall, I had a relaxing time staying with Teresa and would recommend her home to anyone.

The house is set back from the road, in a rural setting surrounded by several acres, with a nice pool out back. It's a short drive to Hudson, which has an impressive variety of good restaurants. • My husband and I had a lovely, quiet weekend getaway in Hudson at Jennifer's place. From the moment our stay was booked, Jennifer and Larry were in communication with us about what to expect and helpful tips for settling in. The check-in process was smooth and simple, and clear instructions left by the hosts helped us figure out everything quickly. Our room was wonderful, with a massive en-suite bathroom and shower that had us swooning (we're from NYC, where space is a commodity!). There were so many smart touches throughout the house, my favorite of which was the inclusion of a hair dryer in the bathroom, which I luckily discovered after forgetting to bring my own. The property was in a serene, quiet part of town, and we had the best surprise one evening when we came outside and saw a flock of wild turkeys grazing on the lawn! We did not have a car with us, and the walk into town from the location was no problem. Thanks again for having us, Jennifer and Larry!

My husband and I have a bedroom with a bath in between another bedroom occupied by our daughter.
The house has period hardwood floors throughout, antique fixtures, beautiful light and views of the surrounding setting. Located on 5 acres with an in ground pool in the back yard along with an organic vegetable garden and a beautiful spread of lawn. Surrounded by a 5 acre park like setting with large trees for shade if needed, there are many patios and porches around the house and yard for relaxing or reading a book or to enjoy views of the Catskills. Perfect setting for a weekend get away or if you need a place to stay when in the area for a wedding or special event.
We are conveniently located off route 9H for easy access to Hudson, Albany or the through way.
