The neighborhood is a small friendly beachside community. The local general store stocks the essential food items and is open 7 days/week and only a short walk away. Beach access via a ramp is within 200 metres. You can drive on the beach. There is a playground and skate ramp around the corner. The famous Victory Hotel is close by and boasts fabulous food and wine. The local large shopping centre is 10 minutes drive at Aldinga Beach. The famous Willunga Farmers market is less than 15 minutes drive and adjoins the McLaren Vale wine district.

  • We stayed at this location for a weekend over April. The pictures do not do this place justice. Located within an hours drive from Adelaide CBD this is a fantastic getaway for both visitors from abroad or locals wanting to get away for the weekend. equipped with Miele appliances and several entertaining areas, it will allow for you to split into your own space if you enjoy your privacy. the attention to detail is fantastic, each bathroom have their own little shampoo/conditioner bottles and warm blankets if you want to sit on the balcony during the cold weather to enjoy the sunset. Within a short drive to the McLaren Vale wine region and beaches for fishing, it is the perfect place to go for a weekend to unwind. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Access to the beach is very convenient, but the quickest way by foot has quite a few stairs, otherwise you can go about 900m down the street for easier beach access. Glennis, the host, was very friendly and helpful in recommending local restaurants and attractions.

  • The home was light and airy, clean and well appointed. It is in a wonderful location with excellent views, perfect beach access, good shops and eateries minutes away. The weather was good and we enjoyed sitting outside during the day and eating diner while watching the sunset. There were plenty of plates, cups and glasses to cater for a myriad of drinking and dining options. There were vases for flowers. Towels, hand towels, face washers and tea towels were supplied and in good condition. All the appliances we used worked, with the exception of the refrigerator in the laundry and the TV in the downstairs bedroom. (Note no one used the washing machine and we did not use the BBQ.) We had two keen pianists who appreciated the well-tuned piano. Note there is no easy access to a downstairs bathroom. People either have to go upstairs or outside and through the laundry (or traipse through someone’s bedroom). My husband did not sleep well on the double bed in the downstairs bedroom and complained of backache; perhaps the other beds are more comfortable. All in all, everyone enjoyed a wonderful weekend. All 7 bedrooms conveniently located near one of the 4 bathrooms and with such a well stocked kitchen full of everything you need and spares of everything too. Everything had been thought of and planned for. Such a really great place to stay..... bed in main bedroom was oh! so comfy!! could have stayed in bed for hours if it wasn't for the amazing view and location outside which needed exploring. Definitely going back another time.

  • A well located house for a large family or group of friends; it works for up to 12 adults plus 2 children. The property requires a lot of maintenance to glass doors and windows, internal and external blinds, etc. Otherwise the house works well, except in the bad weather that we experienced.

  • Melinda's beach house is an incredible place to stay. Modern, well designed and full of beautiful furniture and art, but comfortable and relaxed at the same time. It's very spacious and perfectly set up for two families to stay. Melinda was so friendly and provided us with all the information we needed - she even let us borrow the bakfiets bike at the house which made cycling to the beach with our kids so much fun. We celebrated a brunch for my parents' birthdays and the space was excellent for 30 guests (we could have had more), with a lovely large balcony overlooking the beach. The house is in great condition and was exceptionally clean upon arrival. Carley is wonderful to deal with, extremely accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for the party, even providing extra chairs and tables for us. She certainly went above and beyond what we expected. We would love to stay here again!

Located on top of a hill, in Dawn & Johns’ private vineyard, from all rooms in the house and the terrace you have a beautiful view over the hills and vineyards in McLaren Vale. Great place to relax and unwind. Entrance to national park just down the road, where we saw a koala. We were recommended different vineyards to visit, 1 of which we went to and this was one of the highlights of the trip. Great hosts who went above and beyond.

  • It was like a dream come true to be able to stay at Rutland Hall. It is such an amazing place, not the cheapest, but it is well worth it. The house appears classic at first glance but it is fully equipped with the latest technology and amenities. Automated front gates, integrated aircon throughout the house, centralized lighting panels to easily turn off everything when you're heading out. Very large kitchen with all the cooking utensils you can dream about and most importantly a big dish washer to clean everything. A freezer, large fridge, 2 coffee machines and the list just goes on and on. We stayed mostly outdoors this time, barbecue-ing next to the pool, and plunging into the jacuzzi every now and then. And we also played a couple of games of tennis with the rackets they provided amongst all other things that was there. The 4 bedrooms are huge and nicely appointed. Felt like a king staying there, I just wished I had more time to enjoy it.

  • This house is stunning. It is even more amazing in real life than in the photos. We were blown away by the comfort and quality, and the small touches everywhere. I cannot recommend it enough. My husband and our family from overseas stayed here the night before and night of our wedding and we couldn’t have imagined a better place that was more well equipped for all of us. From the large dining space, the incredible kitchen (and super facilities for cooking up big breakfasts and great coffee) to the warm and large lounge area to relax in, the house was nothing short of luxurious. We even had a hit of tennis in the evening! Jane and David were amazing hosts. They were there to welcome us on check in and explain everything, and check out was simple. They were in contact before the big day, confirming bedding arrangements in each of the rooms and were genuinely lovely people. Location was fantastic - close to the city and not far from the hills or the beach. I highly recommend this place and next time I have lots of family over for a special occasion, I’ll definitely book again!

  • The ultimate weekend was had in this place. The photos do not do this place justice. The rec room is about 30m x 10m. It had a pool table, 2 table tennis tables, a beer pong table, 2 dining tables, multiple couches and an amazing combustion fire. The whole place was toasty and made it feel like it wasn’t the middle of winter. The cabins were amazing. The land was great and had so much to explore and offer. Definitely going back here again.   • Fantastic entertaining house! BBQ area, Pool, Tennis Court.. the photos are exactly how the house looks! No trick photography. Stan hosted 8 Melbourne boys who flew across for the Ashes cricket test, and while that could be daunting for a host to have 8 males at their house, Stan went over and above for a host. We loved the trip and would recommend staying here.

  • Monique was very easy to communicate with and always responded promptly. The cheese board and bottle of bubbles on arrival was an extremely nice gesture and set us up for an excellent few nights.   • The place was incredibly spacious and brilliant location. Certainly bigger than what we needed. The upstairs balcony and area was great for entertaining, albeit not all that clean upon arrival and aircon didn't work up there. The main living area was much more modern and had better mod cons. Communication was excellent and we were allowed early check-in. Handy with 2 car spaces too. Thank you!

  • This place is amazing!!! About 7 of our friends from interstate stayed here for a wedding over the weekend. The view is absolutely mindblowing and the penthouse is extremely modern, clean and comfortable. There is a huge amount of space , particularly given there are 2 levels. The location is perfect, 1 minute walk to the beautiful beach, awesome restaurants along the marina pier and the food and dining district of Glenelg. Really not that far from Adelaide City either. Marco the host was fantastic. Very accommodating and adaptable. He was very flexible with our check and check out times and even set up an extra bed for us because there were a few additional guest. Great with communication. Couldn't have asked for more. The place is expensive but completely worth it. If there's a special occasion and you want to celebrate in style, could not recommend this place more.

The manor chauffeur driven car may be available due to availability though taxis are available at any time or if you wish the Manor has available for guests to hire a BMWZ4 roaster convertible for those that want to cruise around in style. The Manor offers a selection of Guest Services including massages, outdoor cooking facilities, picnic hampers, special romance packages, the BMWZ4 convertible car hire plus winery tours by car or even by helicopter.   • The house and grounds are lovely, but I had a very disappointing experience due to misleading information posted on the listing and issues with the host. This would be a nice place for couples to stay for a night, but is not actually suitable for "family functions" despite being advertised as such.
