A great place with awesome views of the Smokey Mountains. The cabin was wonderful, comfortable and located in a great little town tucked in brtween Asheville and Waynesville.

This was an exceptional 4 day stay. This is an immaculate, apartment. The views are the best available around - perched on the side of a mountain at 3600 ft. Enjoyed an evening fire under the full moon. Comfortable bed. Only 25 minutes to Asheville and close to Blue Ridge Parkway for exploring and hikes. Recommend Pisgah waterfalls off 297 for a close hiking and exploring day. We got a chance to know Barbara and her husband a bit one evening - they are gracious hosts and made us feel so at home and welcomed. Highly recommend - their home is an experience more than just a place to sleep.

Barbara and Chris's hospitality is simply unmatched and their place is picture perfect!!! My wife and I were actually their first guests and we came for our honeymoon after Hurricane Matthew forced us to quickly change our plans. And boy, are we glad we did!!! Their place is nestled atop the mountains in this beautiful new community that is truly off the beaten path and is the perfect mountain retreat. They met us and escorted us to their place, cooked us dinner the first night and even sat with us around the fire and had s'mores on our last night. Every detail of their place is perfect and is clearly a labor of love. They gave us fantastic recommendations on where to visit in Brevard and Asheville. Our stay simply could not have been better. The pictures don't do this place justice. You've got to see it, especially in the Fall!!!!

Beth was such an incredible host! We are certainly thankful for her hospitality. She was up and ready to greet me when I arrived and made her home very comfortable. The room was very spacious and looked exactly like the pictures. Very spacious, clean and cozy. Beth was so sweet and left cinnamon rolls for breakfast and chocolate on our pillows. There were amenities for our use in the shower, a mini fridge and coffee/snacks available. The location is about 15-20 minutes from downtown but the drive is absolutely worth it. Would absolutely stay here again when we come to Asheville! Thanks Beth!

We travelled to the Asheville area to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway and as many of the other scenic routes we could take in Western North Carolina & Eastern Tennesee. We were not disappointed with the rides nor our stay at the Snowy Owl Cabin! Beth is the most gracious hostess and her place is absolutely beautiful, spotless & well set up for travelers. It's very private yet close to what we wanted to see and the grounds and views are stunning! You will not be disappointed.

Snowy Owl Cabin is a relaxing retreat to the country! Beth's gardens and the vista of the Great Smoky Mountains from our private deck were beautiful. She thought of every detail to make our stay so comfortable: home-made sweet biscuits with our morning coffee, water in the refrigerator for our travels into Pisgah National Forest, fresh flowers on the dining table, and little chocolates on our pillows! She greeted us with a big smile and warm hugs! A delightful hostesse!

Haley's wonderful off-grid cabin is a gem of an airbnb find. It's incredibly designed and they've provided all the necessities to have a great stay-the butane burner was easy to use and the hand-drawn maps and detailed instructions in their manual was just an added bonus. If you follow the directions, you'll have no difficulty getting there. To be this secluded but only be 20 minutes from the heart of Asheville is mind-blowing. Great spot! We'll be back! :)

Haley's place was fantastic and one of the more unique places I have ever stayed. Great place for the price. We enjoyed the great views and the proximity to hiking we wanted to do. The outdoor shower worked great and was very easy to use. I think my favorite part was the view from the bathroom. Haley was one of the best hosts with giving instructions and directions ahead of time.

My dogs and I had an amazing time at the cabin. Soon after booking, Haley messaged us with all the details for driving to the cabin, working the heater, and checking in and checking out. The cabin itself was perfect, small but with all the essentials - water, heater, power for lights and charging phones, cooking supplies, and a clean outhouse. Haley even came out and brought us extra toilet paper and helped us get the heater running. We'll definitely be making plans to come back soon!

This was my first airbnb stay, so I was a little apprehensive. Ashley and Ryan were great. There were a few hours between the end of my training and check in time, so they allowed me to park at the home early. I was able to walk downtown to do some shopping and found a brewery, where I hung out and had dinner until check in time. I had a nice chat with the hosts, then sat on the porch enjoying the view until I retired to my bedroom to read a few chapters before going to sleep. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished. I slept very well as it was a dark and quiet space. I never even heard the hosts moving about the house!

Ashley and Ryan are wonderful. They were super accomadating, communicative and helpful with any of our needs like coffee in the morning, a clean place to shower, and more. Their home is sooo lovely, beautifully decorated, cozy, clean, peaceful and words cannot describe how sweet of a place it is to stay. Love their dogs too! Canton is a cute town. From the minute you arrive you will be greeted with a smile from Rachel making you feel welcomed and at home. The cottage is cozy and sparkling clean! Where the cottage is located makes it very easy to take day trips into Gatlinburg, Asheville, Waynesville, etc. You could not have picked a better place to stay, and just know Rachel will check in on you to see if all is good and ask if you need anything. She & her husband are the best hosts!

West Cottage is beautifully decorated and has a gorgeous view. We truly enjoyed our time there. Rachel was a fantastic host who went above and beyond for us - we traveled with a toddler and got in late at night - she took the time to set up the pack n play for us so it was all ready! This is a wonderful spot for anyone to enjoy a quiet getaway in the mountains. Fantastic for families!

Stayed with my wife and 3 children for 5 nights. Rachel was an outstanding host and went above and beyond, even brought us fresh eggs from her chickens! Very kid friendly, games, coloring books, flat screen with Apple TV (just logged into our Netflix account) even cups and utensils for the little ones. Very quiet area, only 20-25 min west of downtown Asheville. Pack n play avaialble for the baby so one less thing we had to carry with us. Kitchen was fully loaded, blender, crockpot, toaster, coffee, etc. A tremendous value, you could never have 5 people this comfortable in a hotel room. Highly recommend it.

Rachel and Mike were fabulous. They thought of everything. Things like cards, games, cookies, bandaids, unique kitchen utensils, hand tools and fresh eggs were just some of the amenities we received. They were so gracious and kind. The cottage was spotless and fresh as well as very comfortable. We had a wonderful time and look forward to going back soon. The house is exactly as pictured and spotlessly clean. Rachel is an extremely thoughtful host. Right from the start she meet us at the house to help settle us in, even helping my mom carry her bag inside. Fresh eggs were provided. The nicest things were the small touches - hair dryers in both bathrooms, travel toothpaste if you forgot yours, packing tape in the kitchen, first aid kit, travel pamphlets for the area and even a loyalty card for the local grocery store so you could get the sale prices. The outside of the house does still need work and it is clear from talking to Rachel that will be completed as soon as possible. She really is the ultimate host. It really felt like a home away from home with all the the touches Rachel provided.

This place is awesome! If you were to image a perfect AirBnB experience, it would be West Cottage and Rachel! The cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything you would ever need and then some provided! Rachel is a wonderful host who made sure we had everything we needed, and even provided some wonderful dinner suggestions. If you are looking for a great place to explore the WNC mountains from, this is the place!

The green roof inn was amazing!! I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to visit Asheville. We stayed 4 nights. The room and house were very clean. (Pillows were the best!) The room is on the other side of the house which makes it feel like you have the house to yourself. The location was great, short drive to Asheville or the blue ridge parkway.The house is in an incredibly safe neighborhood with beautiful scenery all around. Matt was a very kind and helpful host. He gave us suggestions for places that made our impromptu trip a fun-filled vacation. There are two very cute and gentle dogs that live on the property and they greet you whenever you enter.

We had a wonderful stay in Matt's house! It was clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. Matt is a friendly, communicative host and we had a great time talking to him and his girlfriend (we look forward to hanging out in Asheville soon!). The value for the space is amazing and only 20 or so minutes to downtown (we made it to Biscuithead the next morning in a little over 15 minutes). It's great for visitors who are looking for a convenient alternative to the bustle of town and locals who would like to get away for a night or two. I highly recommend this fantastic place!

I gave four stars for the location because it's a little bit away from asheville but if you like it calm, it's perfect. All the other things couldn't be better. Matt is such a good host, he cares about everything, helped us planning our trips around Asheville, made coffee for us when we came home after a hiking trip and so on. The accommodation was also pretty nice with a very comfortable bed and a cozy living room. I just could recommend Matt's home.

Matt was super nice when we arrived--he gave us a tour of his home and introduced us to his wonderful dogs! His home is very clean and nicely updated. The house is close to the interstate, but very quiet inside. We enjoyed our stay!

My visit was really short, but Matt was patient with my late arrival & the place was clean & comfortable. It's just a short drive out of Asheville & not too hard to find. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying in Jackie's cottage. The location was great for us and the accommodations clean, spacious and had everything we needed. It was a bit cold during our stay, so we didn't get to enjoy the fire pit outside, or the nice yard. However, I am sure in the summer time those are lovely! Jackie was very attentive throughout our stay, giving some great recommendations on what to do in the area. We loved her cottage and look forward to returning in the warmer months :-)

"Quiet country cottage" describes this spot perfectly. Situated at the end of a long driveway, there are 2 neighbors and friendly dogs. This was the perfect spot for us and our elderly dog. Cottage is comfortable and cozy. Jackie gave us ideas for nearby hiking and a couple of restaurants. Nearby Waynesville is a sweet little town with good restaurants & Asheville (our interest) is short ride. Whether exploring the area & just need a place to rest, or looking for a quiet get-away, this is a great place!

If you are looking for a home away from home, this is the place. Quaint, exceptionally clean and spacious. The master bed (and secondary bed) was extremely comfortable. There was another bedroom with bunks that we didn't even use. Perfect house for a family. Great water pressure in both showers. Decorations were Pinterest worthy. There was even a piano that my son enjoyed playing. First thing my 18 year old son said when we walked in, "This place smells so good." That is a seal of approval in my book. John the host was extremely attentive and answered all our questions in a prompt manner. Directions from GPS were clear and made it easy to find. This is definitely going on our favorite list for the area.

This house was such a deal for traveling in and around Asheville. While its about 25 mins outside the heart of the city, we didn't mind since we would be visiting most places outside the city anyways. We did uber one night into Asheville and it was $23.00 one way (IMO totally worth it.) Valerie and her husband were quick to reply to messages and there to help as needed. The beds are SUPER comfortable and the kitchen well stocked for cooking needs. We had everything we needed for a great and safe stay! Thanks!

My experience at this lovely mountain oasis is one i will always treasure. The warm cabin and surrounding beauty of mountain views and beautiful horses made this the idyllic setting for my visit to North Carolina. Lisa is such an amazing host. I felt like i had booked reservations at a five-star hotel. There were beautiful scents through out the house, warm lighting, hand rolled towels, every toiletry you could ever imagine to indulge your self in the free standing tub from which i watched the sun set into the mountains and most of all the host herself. She was so very attentive from the moment i arrived to the moment i left. She offered me a wide selection of teas and organic foods, gave me directions to the most beautiful collection of waterfalls for my hike the next day and provided brochures to all of the local attractions. My overall experience is one that i would highly recommend. In fact, when i return to the area for visits there is no where else i would rather stay. This felt much more like coming home than being on vacation.

Lisa was a great host, the bedroom and bathroom had everything we could have needed and we were super comfy. Lisa was friendly and accommodating -- she even provided us with a continental breakfast and coffee when we woke up! She pointed us in the direction of a great hike about an hour drive away from her cabin (looking glass rock). We spend most of our weekend visit in downtown Asheville, but when we were spending time at the cabin, Lisa was there the answer any questions, but still gave us our own space/time when we needed it (although you will probably hear her sweet dogs walking around the hardwood floors in the mornings). Lisa had the hot tub warm and ready for us whenever we wanted to take a dip. We soaked up the cool night air around midnight with a little stargazing. Overall, a great trip and a cool, unique place to stay!

Lisa's cabin was wonderful! I felt cocooned by the physical setting and also by Lisa's extra touches....you literaly feel wrapped up, with all needs taken care of...lisa has a way of seeing to every little detail...she's very intuitive...She made her home so welcoming...fires and candles burning, candy dish, coffee on in the morning...lots of tips and information about the area.....If you are looking for a place "far from the madding crowd"..this is the ideal oasis...you can sit in the hot tub looking over at Cold Mountain...there is an outside fire pit...a porch swing..animals...i'm a five senses (URL HIDDEN) for me it was a feast.....i will definitely return and urge anyone i know to do the same!

My stay at Goodyacre Farm was absolutely wonderful. The place is gorgeous - the mountain views, the house, the landscaping, even the farm animals were impossibly cute. And Nicole and her family were so friendly, so cool, we felt at home from the moment we arrived. My 2 little boys loved it and practically refused to leave. The guest space/studio is spacious, the sofa and beds were super comfy, the local coffee in the kitchen was delicious, and I'm still squeezing the last drops out of our little bottles of fantastic local artisanal soap. Plus Nicole immediately took of anything we needed. I can't say enough good things about Goodyacre Farm - just book it!!!

Nicole and Joe have created a great destination for either a couples or family-friendly venue. My daughter and granddaughter we're ecstatic the entire time, and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves watching them interact with all the farm animals. It was great to also help with the "chores" that are needed to be done with the farm life. The "entire place" catagory is an understatement. Our family cannot recommend their place enough, and we promised them we would be back. They were not only great hosts, but now new friends!

Nicole is a great hostess! Responsive, flexible and super friendly! Very flexible policies. We were able to check in early for our plans. It's a private, stand alone unit. Not upstairs or downstairs of the owner's house. Big plus. Nice, neat, and spacious for 3 of us and our 2 small dogs. We'll definitely come back when we visit the area again!

Goodyacre Farm is even more amazing than the pictures make it look. It is a magical place and you *must* stay there! Though it has a Waynesville address, it's just outside of Canton, close to Pisgah and Asheville. Hosts Joe and Nicole were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their story is pure serendipity. The farm animals are very accessible and amiable and the grounds are so lovely -- rolling hills all around. Our family felt very safe and comfortable here; it was the cherry on top of another great vacation in Western NC. We'd love to visit Goodyacre again someday!

Our Stay @ Goodacre's Farm was Amazing . The view was spectacular , the room was Amazing & even included some of the hosts favorite local coffee,handmade soaps & lotions. We had a Bride getting ready for her big moment with us, so Nicole put out champagne , juice & helped us pick the perfect photo locations on the property. We put on the record player , used the beautiful shower & had the best nights sleep in the beds.We will be back to stay soon !

I loved staying at Goodyacre farm! It was soooo cute! This was my first Air BnB stay and it set the standard! The suite was beautiful. I walked in to jazz playing, essential oil fragrance, a welcome note and hand made soap, lotion and local coffee. The place was very neat and tidy (something very important to me:) The decor was eclectic, artistic and fun, which made the environment really relaxing. I felt immediately at ease. I came in from a long day of exploring in Asheville and Nicole and Joe greeted me, showed me around and welcomed me to check out the farm and then let me have my privacy. I saw from other reviews that families enjoyed the farm, but I would say this is also great for solo travelers and particularly solo women travelers. I felt very safe and secure, plus it was great that they were able to greet me so I could talk to them, but also I could enjoy the space at my own comfort. Checking out the farm and the VIEWS the next morning was a special treat. This was a great choice and I plan to come back!

The mountain views are amazing!!! Great location for a day in Asheville or a hike off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The house is very well decorated, everything seems brand new! We will definitely be back sometime in the future.

If you're looking for views, privacy, and all the stars, but with all the class of city life this is the place for you. It was definitely a little different for us, but we did not regret it one bit. It was GORGEOUS and perfect for a romantic get away to the mountains. AND it is dog friendly...couldn't have been happier with our decision to stay here. We loved it so much we added and extra day to the trip and Barbara made everything easy as can be. HIGHLY recommend this home.

My wife and I visited Cynthia's cottage on a final baby moon in the last month of our pregnancy. The cottage is down a beautiful scenic road, nestled beside a little row of apple trees. It's quiet and gorgeous. My wife and I spent our mornings taking our tea and coffee on the porch where we were serenaded by the rolling creek and we watched the hummingbirds and deer. It's secluded, peaceful, relaxing, and we would definitely recommend.

Cynthias place is wonderful. My girlfriend and I net up after 8 years of not seeing each other and we had a great time sitting g around the fireplace, listening to the creek run through the property. Her beds are great with crisp clean sheets. The house is so clean with everything you could possibly want. You do have wifi, look on the sheet by the TV. Enjoy
