Apartment in Belváros-Lipótváros
Sightsee from the Window of a Classical Apartment
This gorgeous, 50 sqm luxury apartment is located right in the very heart of Budapest, on the city's most central square, Kossuth Lajos Square. Overlooking the iconic and world famous Parliament building, this wonderful retreat offers a fantastic and relaxing time in Budapest for short or mid-term stays. The apartment is situated on the 2nd floor of one of Budapest's most beautiful classical buildings built on the turn of the century by the National Mining Company (you can still see the hammers symbolizing mining on some the original cast iron works decorating the impressive main entrance doors). An incredible, winding set of stairs lead up to the apartment, but of course there is also a modern elevator. The apartment itself has been very recently and fully renovated, with new heat and sound insulating doors leading to the balcony, hardwood floors in the living room and the bedroom, marble and granite floors and tiles in the entry hall and the bathroom. New and custom made furnishing, arranged in a modern and tasteful way. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality appliances, nespresso coffe machine, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, etc. We provide the basic amenities, tea, coffee, milk creamer, mineral water, etc. The bathroom has a large, comfortable bathtub. Blowdryer, and basic bathroom toiletries are provided. The living room features a cozy sofa bed, facing a large LCD television with installed Apple TV, DVD player, surround system and fast wireless internet connection. Large bookshelf filled with DVDs, all kinds of books You can also find an alarm clock and a BOSE iPhone dock sound system in the apartment. The bedroom has a premuim, queen sized bed and mattress with extra pillows and duvets. Large wardobe to easily and comfortably unpack from those suitcases. Top-quality sheets and different size towels are also provided. A separate utility room accomodates the washer and a tumbler dryer. The apartment can comfortably accommodate 4 people, there’s a double bed in the bedroom and a comfortable sofa bed in the living room, the bedroom can be fully separated. Shutters can fully black out both the living room and the bedroom. The apartment also features an alarm, security doors and a brand new air-conditioning system. I like to greet guests personally, show them around the apartment and perhaps give you a few tips about supermarkets, restaurants, wine bars, etc. I live about 10 minutes away from the flat so if you run into any trouble or need any kind of help, I'm always available on my mobile phone. I use whatsapp, viber, telegram, iMessage to make communication easier. Located in the city's banking district, the neighborhood is an ideal mix of alive by day and quiet at night. Take a short walk to find a different side of the area, where cafes, restaurants and bars abound, and it's easy to have a good night out. Very close to all kinds of public transportation (tram lines 2 and 4-6, metro lines 2 and 3, several bus lines), but everything you'd need is in walking distance.

Your guide to Budapest

All About Budapest

There’s no shortage of things to enjoy in Budapest, Hungary’s vibrant artistic capital. The city is bisected by the River Danube, with the hilly and historic district of Buda on one side, and the action-packed district of Pest on the other — home to stunning buildings, art galleries, restaurants, cafes, and nightlife. You’ll find a range of Budapest holiday rentals on both sides of the city.

Thanks to its rich and complex history, Budapest features a range of impressive architecture and an abundance of classical, Baroque, neoclassical, eclectic, and Art nouveau buildings. Must-see attractions include the Hungarian Parliament and Buda Castle, which — along with the centre of the city and parts of the river — are part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After a long day’s sightseeing, the city’s renowned thermal baths are the perfect place to relax and unwind. There are nine medicinal baths to choose from across Budapest, the largest of which is the Széchenyi bath, which is located in Budapest’s City Park.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Budapest

With its mild climate, year-round cultural attractions, and mix of indoor and outdoor sights, Budapest is an ideal city to visit at any time of the year. The city hosts a range of vibrant festivals, so be sure to check if any are likely to be held during your stay.

The most popular time to visit is during summer, from June to August, when many Europeans are on holiday. The longer days during these months allow you to make the most of the city’s nightlife.

However, the shoulder seasons of March to May, or September through to November are also ideal times to plan a trip to Budapest. This is when the city is a little quieter and the weather is milder. The city is also very enticing in winter, and often gets a sprinkling of snow.

Top things to do in Budapest

Thermal baths

Sometimes referred to as the “city of spas,” Budapest is renowned for its many thermal or medicinal baths, which are spread across the city. Each spa takes advantage of a huge reserve of spring water that runs beneath the city and produces millions of litres of thermal water every day. There are a range of baths to choose from — each unique in terms of its size, style, and architecture. The most famous is the Széchenyi Baths — also the largest medicinal bath in Europe.

City Centre: a UNESCO World Heritage site

You can’t leave Budapest without taking a stroll through the inner city, including the banks of the Danube river, the Buda Castle Quarter, and Andrássy Avenue — all of which form part of a UNESCO World Heritage listed site. This is thanks to their stunning, well-preserved pre-war architecture, and many historically significant monuments, including from the Roman city of Aquincum and the Gothic castle of Buda.

Great Market Hall

Budapest has many colourful markets — the largest and most renowned of which is the Great Market Hall, situated in a restored neo-Gothic tunnel and built in 1897. It’s well worth a visit to marvel at the architecture, pick up some unique souvenirs, and sample all kinds of delicious Hungarian produce.
