Just steps away from shops, restaurants, gardens, casino, galleries and theatres, you will never be short of something to experience when exploring the surrounding neighbourhoods. This 200+ sqm apartment has a sensible and practical layout, thoughtfully appointed with all the necessities of home. Downstairs is an expansive living space, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. Entertain in style in the large living space with dining table for 8, BBQ on the oversized balcony with proper seating for 8, or make yourself Nespresso coffee in the fully equipped kitchen. Sink into the comfortable lounge which comfortably seats 10, with unrivalled views of Melbourne's city skyline, a large wifi enabled TV with Foxtel Play and bluetooth sound system. There is also a work space with desk, chair, lamp and NBN wifi. This four-bedroom property sleeps up to ten adult guests comfortably. The master bedroom features a king size bed, with the option for a fold out single, huge robe, wifi enabled TV with Foxtel Play, ensuite with an oversized shower, hairdryer, bathroom scales and double vanity basins. The second bedroom contains a queen size bed, further wifi enabled TV, and large robe. The third bedroom also contains a queen size bed with wifi enabled TV and large robe. The final master bedroom contains a king size bed, optional fold out single, wifi enabled TV with Foxtel Play and large walk in robe. The master bathroom contains a luxury full size bath and oversized shower, double vanity basins, hairdryer, bathroom scales and full laundry tucked away neatly inside a clever cupboard. All beds are dressed with quality Sheridan linen and our towels are also from Sheridan. We have a selection of complimentary toiletries in the bathrooms. We are family friendly. We can supply a baby gate for the stairs, highchair, step stool and travel cot on request. We have children's cups, cutlery and crockery. Single fold outs are made in Italy with latex mattress, and are comfortable for adults as well as children. The location and size of the apartment makes it the ideal location to get ready for your wedding day. Room to accommodate all of the groomsmen/bridesmaids (and their dresses!), as well as room for all to get their hair and make up done. A luxurious space to return to and spend your first night as a couple. There are snacks, cereal, Nespresso coffee and tea supplied, as well as a litre of real milk in the full size fridge. Staples in the pantry are provided for your convenience. We can also help you organise a delivery from a supermarket, liquor store or florist to coincide with your arrival. Open late is IGA, Chemist Warehouse and a medical clinic all within a two minute walk on Sturt Street.

  • AMAZING! Cannot fault this amazing vast space. We were a group of 10 and not once felt cramped! We stayed in for dinner as oppose to going out, purely to enjoy the spectacular view. Incredible location walking distance to the MCG, NGV, The Kettle Black & Southbank! We honestly can’t fault this property. Milk in the fridge, coffee pods, towels, linen, washing facilities! The most incredible Airbnb stay. Host was seamless to deal with and so prompt with her responses. If you have a large group definitely recommend this amazing apartment!

The location is fantastic and is a short walk to Crown and to the CBD. This place has all the amenities - made our stay really easy. We made very good use of the parking on the premises and this was another selling point for us for this property. George and Dorothy were very accomodating; we arrived in Melbourne later than planned and Dorothy kindly waited for us until we arrived at the apartment and made no fuss!

  • The apartment was nice and quite basic. We had a short stay so it worked well for us but the common space is a bit small if you want to stay longer. We had everything we needed and it was walking distance to tram. *****Make sure you book your private Spa Rooftop session in advance****** Unfortunately when we got there the host advised it was fully booked to use the spa and we have not been able to use these facilities very sadly.

The appartment was small, we had 4 adults and a 4 year old and found it a bit cramped. It was nicely furnished with basic furniture. It was a nice touch to have the fridge stocked with a few cans of coke. The cupboards had a few hand items such as sugar, salt and the laundry had detergent. The appartment was listed as luxury but in reality it is a fairly new appartment with functional furnishing and basic fixtures. It was a welcome touch having Netflix available, it kept the 4 year old amused in the evening.

    Featuring six bedrooms in separate apartments on top of one another, three bathrooms, three kitchens, and three living areas. There are up to 15 beds, but beds can either be separated or kept together as king beds. There are also bunk beds, and 3 double sofa beds. The kitchens offer microwaves and dishwashers, whilst the European laundries offer washers and dryers. The living areas have flat screen smart TVs and heating and/or cooling.     Coburg (like any Inner Northern suburb in Melbourne) is a fantastic place to live and stay, and has really held onto a wonderful multi-cultural vibrancy - in our educated opinion, it's the side to be on! You only need to read our reviews to see how much our guests love the neighborhood and it's easy access to the city! Coburg is home to the lightest, fluffiest falafel in all of Australia at one of the many reasonably priced Middle Eastern food shops. The Post Office Dining Hall/Cafe and Hotel (see pics at end of listing) is stylish, beautiful and just around the corner (a great place to have dinner, listen to some fantastic live music or sit in the awesome leafy beer garden with a pint. There is a lovely cafe just around the corner called 'True North' which we love and it's quintessentially 'Melbourne'. The 'Eastern Block' and 'East Timor' are 2 other great cafes nearby. There are new cafes popping up everywhere at the moment! The quirky Woodlands Hotel is also nearby and well worth a visit. And then, well Sydney Rd and Lygon street are fantastic and well worth a tram ride in when you're on your way to the city with lots of stop-off points! Be sure to visit Green – a cafe at the end of Sydney Rd in Brunswick for some amazing home-cooked goodness at cheap prices or Ray for breakfast. Also nearby is CERES, an environmental park with a cafe, farmers markets/stalls, a fantastic nursery and community vegie patches/initiatives. There is also a COBURG FARMERS MARKET. It's on every 2nd and 4th Sat of the month at Coburg North Primary School - lots of awesome produce there. Our neighbour, Brunswick (we are nearly on the border) is full of trendy cafes, shops, pubs, bars, restaurants, parks etc

  • Yellow door was a great place to stay, 10 of us stayed there for 10 days, there was more than enough space for everyone. The beds are super comfortable, the place is super clean and the shower waters are very strong even with all 4 going at the sametime. we cooked most nights and the kitchen has everything you need, loved the outside space for a bbq too. The supermarket is only a 2min walk away and it opens till midnite, which was perfect for us. We used the tram alot, super easy to get anywhere. Tram and train is just around the crn, a 5min walk, great location. Met the owners on the last day, really nice and easy to talk to. Thanks for the stay guys. YY

  • We had very pleasant stay at Yellow door. The rooms very just nice for 10 of us. Kitchen and dining were great and we done our cooking there most of the time. Personally I like the open yard very much. Eating our breakfast with chilling weather, it's amazing. Host is very nice and responsive. She even help to fix the rubbish when the big bin fully filled. Appreciated that. Overall we had very great stay during our family trip. Highly recommend if you are looking for one.

The pictures are very representative of the home and outdoor space. The harbor views are stunning and the swmming in the building is incredibly cool. They are all gorgeous with great design. The bed is comfortable, the shower is good, the Wifi is abundant, and Esther's communication is just right (warm and spontaneous, not overbearing). Her house rules require guests to respect other tenants. We don't mind at all, in fact, we enjoy being surrounded by local people. It makes us feel more like a part of city life. The senven of us even found something in the apartment that we had always wanted to read. This home really has everything!

  • Nicky and Sacha (and two lovely cats) made us feel very welcome. The 'loft' is as described and offers a lot privacy as it is separated from the lower level. The apartment is in a typical inner city suburb. I parked my car in the streets and it was very safe. The location is perfect as it is within walking distance to the Flemington Race course, Flemington town center and rail way station, and Kensington town center. Both town centers have cafes, pharmacies, restaurants, etc. Newmarket shopping center and an IGA are also within easy reach. I would highly recommend this property to others.

    A massive, light-filled and luxuriously appointed family home with multiple living spaces and a stunning roof terrace. Featured in 'The Block', 'Postcards', 'Mansion' and 'Vogue Living. It's only a ten minute ride to the top of the CBD and a five minute walk to buzzy Brunswick Street. This home is a grand but comfortable family base to explore funky, inner-city Melbourne. Easy street parking.
    This is a unique, art-filled family home of large, but cosily appointed living (3) and bedrooms (3) and vistas of the city skyline, parks, tree tops, nearby roofs, distant spires and historic landmarks. In summer, the large garden terrace filled with roses just off the master bedroom suite with its stunning skyline views acts as a fourth living area. It's perfect for morning coffee, quiet reading and is furnished for outdoor dining and with a BBQ for meals. Entry to the house is via a grand, marbled floor hallway which leads to a stately breakfast room and a large, fully equipped kitchen (induction hob, double oven, 2 drawer dishwasher, garbage disposal) which looks out to small pond and fountain. The laundry (washer/dryer) and a guest powder room also lead off the hallway. The rear of this floor houses two interconnected and grand, but casually comfortable, living rooms with multiple soft couches and armchairs for lounging, and a grand piano all sitting on dark, hardwood floors. The main staircase with its vast fan window leads to the second floor which houses one very large bedroom and one medium sized one. A large bathroom with double sink and large tub and overhead shower services this floor. The beds in all three bedrooms are dressed with European linens and feather pillows . The third level, accessed by another set of stairs, is occupied entirely by the master suite with queen bed (with bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, microwave, AC ), and bathroom (double sink and double shower). This huge, light filled suite has a massive mirror, sofa and armchair and opens through wide French doors to the spectacular and completely private, rose filled and ivy-festooned roof terrace. Its skyline views are perfect for watching fireworks at festival times or for gazing at the hot air balloons sailing overhead at sunrise in summer and autumn months.
    Melbourne is one of the world's one of the world's top liveable cities (along with Vienna) according to 'The Economist' while 'Time Out' recently declared it the second 'most fun city' in the world (after Chicago). The epicentre of the fun is in in the inner north where our home is located. Fitzroy and the adjacent neighbourhoods of Brunswick, Collingwood and Carlton are filled with the adventurous restaurants, boho cafes, bookshops, wine bars, tiny theatres, street art, indie movie houses, pubs, live music clubs and retro/antique and independent designer stores for which Melbourne earns its reputation as a food, design and cultural leader. Although our house is grand, our neighbourhood is upbeat, youthful, vibrant and multicultural. It's also a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Melbourne, RMIT and Australian Catholic universities, 4 major hospitals (St Vincent's, Peter McCallum Cancer Centre, Royal Melbourne, Royal Women's) and medical/science research centres and the massive Melbourne Museum. Fitness, yoga, pilates, dance studios and parks are abundant. An Olympic length, public, outdoor swimming pool (heated in winter) and gym is a 5 minute walk away. An indoor 25 metre pool and gym is 15 minutes walk in the other direction. The famous sporting arena (the Melbourne Cricket Ground or MCG) is visible from the roof terrace and is 15 minutes by tram, or a 25 minute walk. Rod Laver Arena is also a 18 minute tram ride away and Melbourne Zoo is a 35 minute walk or a 15 minute bike ride by the bike path about 200 metres from our house. The Royal Children's Hospital is also a 30 minute walk and 15 minute bike ride away and the Victoria Market a further 10 minutes walk. Four public high schools - Fitzroy, Princes Hill, Northcote and University high schools are all between 5 and 25 minutes walk of the house, while two primary schools, North Fitzroy PS and Fitzroy Community School, are both within 5 minutes walk. We are also about a 5 to 8 minute drive to St Patrick's Cathedral and the main Melbourne wedding registry office at the Old Treasury building is a few hundred metres beyond on Spring Street in the CBD.

This house has a great vibe to it, situated in a great location. The house itself is a mix of old world charm and some modern features in the interior. The highlight most definitely is the amazing rooftop terrace with views across to the stunning skyline of Melbourne. The living rooms inside are very comfortable and definitely carry a Parisian vibe. The rooms in the house are large bright and comfortable it was a pleasure to stay here with our family leading up to our wedding. Our photographer also loved the house as it provided him with a beautiful backdrop for pre-wedding photos.   • Esther's place is perfect for a group looking to explore all around Melbourn City. The location is a quick free trans or uber to all of the great shops and restaurants, and there are also grocery stores, coffee shops and cafes within walking distance. The neighborhood is very luxurious and safe . We were a group of eight and the the property was still spacious so you could definitely fit 10 comfortably. The large balcony is great for enjoying the night views and drinking beers outside. Esther was very responsive and great to communicate with, and we look forward to staying at the her house again soon!

  • This property was ideal for us. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here. We travel frequently and use AirBnB for our extended stays. This property was one of our best experiences. The location puts you in the heart of the city. Steps outside your door are fantastic locally famed restaurants and popular Collins St for shopping. There were also a couple of theaters within walking distance if you want to catch a show. We used taxis to get around and the unit was on a main street where taxis passed by very frequently. The property is spacious, modern, and has many amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped if you choose to cook at home. The view from the floor to ceiling window walls is fantastic and the unit overlooks the picturesque Treasury Gardens. Luxico truly is like having a hotel concierge. Our representative was extremely helpful getting us settled in and finding our way around. She was knowledgeable about most things and was quick to get answers to any inquiries she didn't know off hand. I very highly recommend this property.

  • Truly fabulous! This is a wonderful flat in one of my favorite neighborhoods. Perfect location close to the Free Trans.( Docklands to the CBD) and so easy to walk to several other neighborhoods, museums, galleries, etc. Very friendly neighborhood filled with great cafes, restaurants and markets in every direction. The apartment is GORGEOUS: amzaing views, tall ceilings, lots of windows providing incredible light, tasteful modern upgrades like the kitchen, meticulously clean throughout, and thoughtfully furnished and curated.   • Positives: New building, good location as it’s close to tram stops and bus stops, clean place with good facilities such as pool, gym and lounge. Negatives: Poor communication from host, very hard to get hold of even on the day of check in. Biggest issue was that I explicitly filtered for onsite parking before even selecting any location to book in Melbourne knowing we would stay for 7 nights and parking can get really expensive. The day before check in we were told that there is no onsite parking. Ended up waking up at 730am daily in the winter cold to pay the street side parking (4 dollars an hour). Alternative is to park in the opposite building for 14 dollars per day, per entry. Very troublesome and I found it dishonest for free parking on premises to be included in the description and then amended. we ended up spending a lot of money for public and private parking. The host also said he would call us back for supplies but never did throughout the 7 nights. We ended up buying our own toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, soap, bin liners and other supplies. I really hope the communication and service would improve for future guests as this is a mid tier option and the premium should be justified.

    From the days of grandeur, this beautifully restored c1851 three bed room and two living area residence, sits on a very large block for this part of Melbourne, approx 450sqm. This home is full of character, charm and history and is just delightful with lots of modern touches! Our home was originally lived in Ivo Bligh, the captain of the English cricket team to whom The Ashes were presented and our master bedroom fireplace is where Ashes cricket wickets were once burnt after the game. * Hazelwell is our family home when we live in Melbourne, we travel regularly and when we are not living in Melbourne we offer our home to others to live in. The style of the home is quite modern, yet there are many historical touches including the intricate pressed metal ceilings each with a unique patterns for each room (which I love staring up at whilst in bed – always finding a new pattern inside the patters), four marble fireplaces, and original wide board timber flooring. * The home is in a very quiet part of the city, and the only sounds you hear are those of the occasional bird visiting the garden. We are in a quiet and respectful part of the city, there are only houses in this part of our street (no apartments), and our home is very unique because it is single level and double fronted, and is set back further from the street compared to many other homes and this provides a very spacious front garden. We are the only home in the street with a front garden large enough to have a grassed area. You will love the sun rising in the morning and sitting on the front porch whist you have a coffee, being able to walk to several “milk bars”/general stores and small supermarkets, wine shops, cafes, restaurants and delis get your daily supplies. * Hazelwell is very well appointed with: - 3 bedrooms (the main bed room has a king size bed with a beautiful handmade frame/bed head from a salvaged slab of Messmate by a local carpenter) plus a spacious ensuite - the second bed room has a king single bunk bed (pictures need to be updated) - the third bed room has 2 king size single beds which can be joined to make a king bed - a dining room area in the kitchen has a handcrafted 8 seater dining table (made from the same slab of Messmate as our bed by our local carpenter) - there are two bathrooms (2 toilets, 2 showers, 1 bathtub) - Wifi, 100cm LCD television with 17 digital TV channels, Netflix, BOSE surround sound system and DVD player, plus there is a second TV in the main bed room - The kitchen has a Miele oven and Miele 4 burner gas stove, Miele dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee percolators, and all the crockery/pots/pans you will require to cook, plus generous storage area and large fridge, and many beautiful items including our “Bourgeta” French copper saucepans and pots * Our home has hydronic heating to every room keeping an even temperature 24 hours a day during the colder months, and reverse cycle air conditioning (however this is not needed often as the house is double brick and keeps rather cool in summer) * The laundry is located within the main bathroom and there is a wash tub, Miele washing machine and Miele clothes dryer * The living room is open plan leading to a second living space, both rooms have soaring 3.4 meter high ceilings (with intricate pressed metal designs), we have been using the second living space as a play room for our children, however it could be set up as a second sitting room, or study (we can provide a desk and chair, printer, photocopier etc. if these are required). * The backyard is perfect space for relaxing on the outdoor lounge chairs, there is a gas Weber BBQ and also a Weber Kettle BBQ fired by coals. Our vegetable garden always has an abundance of herbs, and depending on the season there will be a variety of vegetables to keep your plate full * There are a many restaurants, cafes and bars just a few minutes walk away, whilst Melbourne's most famous cosmopolitan shopping districts of Bridge Road, Smith Street and Brunswick Streets are just a hop, skip and jump away. * You can access Collins Street in the Central Business District (less than 1km) but walking less than 9 minutes walk and some other local points of interest are: Melbourne University (3km) RMIT City Campus (1.7km) Australian Catholic University (650meters) Hospitals (St Vincent's - 1.1km, Royal Melbourne Hospital – 2.9km, Epworth Richmond – 900m) * Powlett Street is a magestic tree lined street, boasting the longest continuous row of double story terrace homes in Australia (between Gipps and Hotham Street), where there are mature elms and beautiful inner city mansions and lots of little laneways to make every walk around the suburb unique. If you have young children, there is a lot for them in the home and the local area for them. The second living space has a children’s table and chair set, plus there are books, a cupboard busting with art supplies, and lots of toys. Our children’s bikes are there for you to use (our children are 2 and 4) and so are our adult bikes, there is a trampoline for the back yead, and there is a fenced children’s area and play equipment on the corner of Grey Street and Powlett Street, just 100 meters away. There is also a play ground in the Fitzroy Gardens (just 300m away), and in the park opposite the 7-11 Store on Wellington Parade (500m away). * There are tennis courts for hire in the next street, plus Melbourne city hire push bikes, car share cars within a few minutes walk (FlexiCar and GreenShareCar), and there are many guys and public swimming pools nearby. We provide our bikes for you to use during your stay.
    Recommended local food and drink Persillade – 150 Wellington Pde East Melbourne, My favourite coffee shop! Il Duca - 132 Wellington Pde East Melbourne, there is a café and also a restaurant next to each other. The restaurant does nice take away for dinner (pizzas and pastas), and the café does nice lunch time quick meals East Melbourne General Store – 53 Hotham St East Melbourne - is licensed and sells a full range of groceries, fruit and vegetables, newspapers, magazines and wine and beer. DVD and video hire are available or you can enjoy a quick snack and coffee in the café area. East Melbourne General Store is located on Hotham Street and is open seven days a week. Tribecca Complex - 66 Albert St, East Melbourne – this complex had coffee, cafes, fish and chips take away, wine bar, and an IGA supermarket. Wine shop/ bottle shop: corner of Powlett and Hotham Streets – your local place to buy a drink to have at home, open until 8pm. City Wine Bar, The European, and Galati Shop – a 10 minute walk through the park to the city area, you will find these 3 stores in a row on Spring Street, between Bourke and Little Bourke Streets. All three owned by the one person are great established little eateries, and there is also a hidden gem downstairs below the gelato store – a cheese shop, and another little hidden gem, The Supper Club, and upstairs local hangout – only accessed by the discrete door from the street between the Wine Store and The European restaurant.

We are a family of 5 and Hazelwell had everything we needed including a play room and a great craft cupboard that our our three children aged 9, 7 and 4 really enjoyed. The kitchen and laundry are very well equipped for families. This home is located in the best and most attractive suburb in Melbourne and is walking distance to the city, Fitzroy Gardens, Captain Cook's Cottage, the MCG and with all the action of Richmond and Fitzroy close by. Trams are at each end of the street. Restaurants, cafes and shops are walking distance away. Thank you Robert and Golna. We didn't want to leave!

His home is superb, it is spacious and well designed, the master bed room is huge and the pressed metal ceilings throughout are amazing. The kitchen is well equipped, the entertaining areas are a great setup with couches, there are two TVs with Netflix, and the backyard is a great spot for a late afternoon drink and BBQ with our guests. We loved being able to walk everywhere; to the city and tennis centre - we hardly used our car at all.

  • If you are planning a trip in Melbourne, this is the best place you will ever rent. What I write just won’t explain what a wonderful stay we had in such a fabulous Melbourne location. 10 minutes walk to the city, MCG and tennis centre! Rob was very accommodating – greeting us on arrival and answering all our queries, he helped us settle into his grand home and made sure we had everything we needed. I’ve never imagined a house like this so close to the city, his listing is understated in every way; the garden is beautiful, the location is second to none, the home is charming and modern, but with many historical touches. We did not expect to find a clean and stylish home with a front and back yard in the city area of Melbourne. East Melbourne is a beautiful and safe part of the city. Rob’s instructions provided prior to our arrival were fantastic, including how to get to his home form the airport (recommending a personal taxi service), and a local area guide so we knew where the local attractions, shops, cafes and recommended restaurants were. Rob recommended some great dinner locations, all less than 10 minutes walk from his home within the city grid and along Smith Street Fitzroy. We ate at the European on Spring street and Cookie on Swanston Street, and had lots of coffees and breakfasts at Persillade which is on the way from Rob’s house to the MCG and Tennis centre. We did not see Rob after we checked in but he always responded promptly to any queries we had. The beds were comfy, there were plenty of towels, the air conditioning worked perfectly, these was a well stocked kitchen, 2 TVs - both with Netflix, super fast wifi, and a very comfy Tessa armchair in the lounge room! Overall the house is better equipped than a rental because it is used by the owners most of the year. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and cooking utensils/pots/pans, a Miele oven, stove, washing machine and clothes washer and dryer, large screen TVs, a photocopier and printer, Webber BBQs out the back, and plenty of veges to eat from Rob’s garden, plus bikes which were handy for getting around quickly - we did not need a car. Overall we had a great short stay in Melbourne, I can see why Rob is a Superhost, he was accommodating, and everything was taken care of. We will be back to his grand luxurious home for our next stay.

Communication is great though we personally didn’t get to meet Esther (She has a team to host guests) This place is seriously amazing from being clean to having anything you might need.     Easily accessible to and from the Melbourne CBD, our home is a 10 minute train ride or a 10 minute drive from Melbourne's CBD. A short walk to popular Abbotsford Convent/Yarra River and just down the road from Smith Street, Collingwood - one of Melbourne's best known food and nightlife areas. You’ll love our place because of the location, the ambiance, the people and our lovely husky, Mishka. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers
    The house is cosy with a cool Melbourne vibe. There are lots of great shared living spaces like the sunken lounge room (with a working fire place that gets regular use), a daybed that looks out into the backyard and gets the afternoon. The guest bedroom is equipped with a king size bed and a brand new mattress. (The mattress is seriously amazing! We wanted to use it as our own when we got it, but decided to leave it for the guests to enjoy). The room is located at the front of the house with quite a bit of privacy from the rest of the house for those who want to have their own space. There is a shared bathroom with a toilet and a shower but there is also a second bathroom upstairs with a bath and toilet so the shared bathroom is not overcrowded. We're pretty big into home decorating and at the moment a lot of our furniture and homewares have been sourced from the likes of the Collingwood/Abbotsford area.
    The neighbourhood is the best part! Just behind Johnston Street in Abbotsford we are a few seconds away from great bars (e.g. Dr Morse), pubs, record stores, cafes and good eating spots. We are walking distance to Victoria Street with its abundance of Vietnamese restaurants, and also Abbotsford Convent (which is a great place to hang out any time of year and any time of day). And probably our favourite, we are few minutes' walk to Smith Street (basically the best place to go in Melbourne for eating, drinking and nightlife). We love Abbotsford because it is close to the Collingwood hipster scene but it also has a leafy green sort of family friendly way about it. The Yarra River is also a favourite for us. It takes about two minutes to get to the river and then there are miles of trail for runs, bike rides etc.

    This listing is for TWO luxury dwellings, professionally cleaned after each stay and on the same property. Together, they sleep up to 16 guests. They can be accessed separately if required or they open up to each other using a gate in the garden. It is the perfect property to stay at if you have a large family/friends gathering or for wedding groups! AUTOMATIC DISCOUNTED PRICE FOR OVER 6 NIGHTS AND MONTHLY STAYS. 3 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY Extra guests beyond base price of 12 is an additional $30 each guest per night. Children over 3 years old are an additional $20 per night. The front house is referred to as FRONT HOUSE 1. The rear house is referred to as REAR HOUSE 2. Please see details below; FRONT HOUSE 1 4 large double bedrooms with 2 x ensuites and 1 main bathroom. 3 Bedrooms with a queen bed each. 1 bedroom with a double and single bed. FRONT HOUSE 1 / BEDROOMS The main bedroom has a large, luxury ensuite/wet room, bedroom 3 has a small ensuite, and bedrooms 1 + 2 share a bathroom with shower, basin and WC. All beds are made up with beautiful high quality white cotton sheets/bedding and come with soft fluffy white towels and washers. A wooden cot can be made up on request, with a high-chair and toys supplied also. Children are welcome. FRONT HOUSE 1 / THE KITCHEN Wonderful open-plan kitchen to cook in and stocked with all the kitchen essentials. SMEG 900mm wide oven/gas stove top, fridge, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine + pods, Bosch dishwasher, clever fold-out pantry, rice cooker, utensils, saucepans, fry pans etc. FRONT HOUSE 1 / LOUNGE AREA Living space with lots of wooden sash windows and double French doors which open out onto a side garden and lovely rear deck. 2 x leather lounges which seats 5, and 2 x arm chairs. Large 40" Full HDTV with FOXTEL Platinum package, WIFI/Cable Internet. FRONT HOUSE 1 / OUTDOOR AREA French doors in living area open up onto a deck, which has a Ziegler and Brown BBQ, and gorgeous leafy garden landscaped with established natives and fruit trees (olives, apple etc) and grassed areas – your own little oasis complete with a hammock and an outdoor dining table with benches and outdoor chairs to relax on. FRONT HOUSE 1 / HEATING + COOLING Hydronic heating in the bedrooms and living area makes the house lovely and toasty in winter. Air conditioner in main living area and fans in all rooms. FRONT HOUSE 1 / LAUNDRY Located at rear of front house for both houses. Access to a large commercial washing machine, portable clothes line with pegs and gas dryer. REAR HOUSE 2 Literally just finished. Architect-designed with oak floor boards, wool carpet, high ceilings, high-end finishes and fittings. REAR HOUSE 2 / BEDROOMS 2 bedrooms with queen beds (Bedroom 1 is upstairs, Bedrooms 2 and 3 downstairs). Bedroom 3 with 2 x single custom made wall hung beds (pics to come soon once they are installed early/mid Feb 2015). Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a bathroom. Top storey has the main bedroom, luxury ensuite and living area. Features amazing curved ceilings and walls, high end fittings and finishes. All beds made up with beautiful white cotton sheets, hotel quality pillows and luxury coverlets/bedding. We provide quality high end shampoo and conditioner for use during your stay. REAR HOUSE 2 / LIVING AREA Surround sound system, 65" Smart TV with Foxtel Platinum package, WIFI/Cable Internet, super large comfy King Furniture lounge, custom joinery and beautiful cushions. ACCESS FOR REAR HOUSE 2 / OUTDOOR AREA Access can be via the front house or lane down side of front house. There are steps that go down into the rear property which also has a lovely landscaped courtyard area.
    The Neighbourhood Coburg (like any Inner Northern suburb in Melbourne) is a fantastic place to live and stay, and has really held onto a wonderful multi-cultural vibrancy - in our educated opinion, it's the side to be on! You only need to read our reviews to see how much our guests love the neighbourhood and it's easy access to the city! Coburg is home to the lightest, fluffiest falafel in all of Australia at one of the many reasonably priced Middle Eastern food shops. The Post Office Dining Hall/Cafe and Hotel (see pics at end of listing) is stylish, beautiful and just around the corner (a great place to have dinner, listen to some fantastic live music or sit in the awesome leafy beer garden with a pint. There is a lovely cafe just around the corner called 'True North' which we love and it's quintessentially 'Melbourne'. The 'Eastern Block' and 'East Timor' are 2 other great cafes nearby. There are new cafes popping up everywhere at the moment! The quirky Woodlands Hotel is also nearby and well worth a visit. And then, well Sydney Rd and Lygon street are fantastic and well worth a tram ride in when you're on your way to the city with lots of stop-off points! Be sure to visit Green – a cafe at the end of Sydney Rd in Brunswick for some amazing home-cooked goodness at cheap prices or Ray for breakfast. Also nearby is CERES, an environmental park with a cafe, farmers markets/stalls, a fantastic nursery and community vegie patches/initiatives. There is also a COBURG FARMERS MARKET. It's on every 2nd and 4th Sat of the month at Coburg North Primary School - lots of awesome produce there. Our neighbour, Brunswick (we are nearly on the border) is full of trendy cafes, shops, pubs, bars, restaurants, parks etc Our house has excellent fast access to transport of all kinds. Firstly, trams and trains are literally just around the corner, making it super easy to get into the city or other places along the way such as Brunswick (neighbour), Melbourne uni, the hospitals, Queen Vic markets for fresh food or the Royal Melbourne Zoo! In addition, right behind our house is a bike track which goes into the city (with great stop-off points along the way like Lux Foundry. The other option is to take a walk down Sydney Rd, along Merri Creek or around the beautiful Coburg Lake. Whether you're into op-shopping, unique, independent fashion, boutique wine bars, great pubs/live music, restaurants, coffee, fabric, gardening, vintage, jewellery, bridal wear, Melbourne-made craft, the zoo, or record stores, there's something for everyone on this side, if not on Sydney Rd, Lygon, Nicholson or Brunswick Street, than tucked away in little lane ways and unexpected places that no travel book will know about.
  • My folks and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at yellow door! It was my wedding weekend and the yellow door was the perfect place for our bridal party to get ready at. The design and finishings are a treat. My relatives and family were impressed with the property and facilities! The host Jayne is very responsive and friendly always accommodating to our request and change in guest numbers. I definitely recommend stays at the yellow door or with Jayne. We only wished we could stay longer.

  • This place is amazing! It's beautiful and clean and has everything a group would need. The common outdoor area between the houses is a great set up for being together while having the very separate living quarters is great for peace and quiet. The train runs behind the back house so light sleepers avoid the round bedroom upstairs. The other rooms were much quieter.

  • This is a gorgeous modern house (amazingly decorated) with everything we needed and more. We all loved staying here, it was so close to public transport and shops, and there were great coffee shops and restaurants which Jayne recommended that we really enjoyed. It was lovely to have a stocked pantry & toiletry supply and great coffee machine! Jayne was a wonderful host, and nothing was too much trouble for her. It was a great place to chill out and relax, and so close to the city (only 20 mins by tram) so we had the best of everything. Thanks Jayne, I'm sure we'll be back!

  • Fantastic house, well set up, and in such a great location. Really appreciated the local neighbourhood tips for food and drink. Serious value for money if travelling with a big group. We were hot in the bedrooms which weren’t air conditioned - but our visit was in the middle of a heatwave with near 40 degree temperatures! - and this likely wouldn’t be a problem outside of January.
