For something a little different, Bonny Hills plays host to the Surfing Santas every December. Around 40 to 50 surfers gather on Rainbow Beach and catch a wave in full Santa Claus costume for a bit of holiday cheer. You can also immerse yourself in the world of tango at the yearly Port Macquarie Tango Festival, which typically happens during the last ten days of February. For those planning their holidays later in the year, you won’t want to miss the Slice of Haven Food, Wine and Beer Festival held every May. Beaches

Bonny Hills has two beaches right on its doorstep in Rainbow and Bartletts Beach, so you can easily spend your morning exploring one and your afternoon at the other. Sea Acres National Park
