Lovingly referred to as “The Dairy,” the farm operated from the 1930s until 2008 and has a history almost as beguiling as the land it's on. (To boot: it used to sell milk to the famous Biltmore Estate!) Though just 25 minutes north of hip, brewery-soaked Asheville, the farm is guaranteed to transport you to a simpler, far more relaxed time.

Tour the Blue Heart Sanctuary- a place of love & peace
Welcome to the Blue Heart Sanctuary! A place of refuge that exemplifies Love in Action, Peace and Compassion. Upon arrival, you'll be warmly greeted by the "welcome crew" of several rescued dogs who have been graced to call the Sanctuary their forever home. The dogs will most likely lead the way as we take a stroll through the lower field where the goats live. We'll make our way along the mountain stream up to the woodland forest where the land is covered in sparkling mica and abundant with large mossy boulders. The goats will undoubtedly come say "Hi" and if it resonates, you'll be invited to feed them some yummy snacks. After enjoying their shenanigans, we'll walk from there into the paddock and pasture land that the sheep call their home. The girls will likely keep their distance but, the boys, Cupid and Atlas may come over to feel the Love. After taking some time to visit these adorable creatures, the tour of the Sanctuary will wrap up by the natural spring fed koi ponds. Here we'll gather to share some organic tea made in part from herbs that have been gathered from this sacred Cherokee land. 100% of all revenue generated from this Airbnb Experience goes directly to the care and feeding of the animals who have been Graced to call the Blue Heart Sanctuary their home.

Create a personal glass object in a hot glass workshop
I offer hot glass blowing classes at my studio in Hendersonville, NC. Classes are currently available for 2 participants at a time. Classes last for approximately 1.25 hours and each person would make one of three objects; Pumpkin, Oil Lamp or a double sided bowl. All work is continuously supervised by myself. The object is to be safe, have fun and create something out of glass. I've been blowing glass since the early 1990's and have been offering classes at my location at Horseshoe Gap Village in Hendersonville for the past 4 years.
