  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maria's Pod. Maria was very accomodating throughout, from arranging check-in, to showing us around the Pod, to meeting us when checking out. The place itself was lovely and in immaculate condition. It has everything you need for a night away. The wood fire that was prepared and ready to light on arrival was a lovely touch and really helped us enjoyed our evening. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in that part of the country again.

    Kevin2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

  • We are just back from a short stay at the Pod, we enjoyed our stay that much we even extended it by another night! The Pod is a super place to stay with a beautiful view of the countryside. It was so well equipped and Maria had some lovely little extra thoughtful touches to make our stay even more memorable. The Pod is finished to an exceptionally high standard and it is evident that a lot of time and money has been put into it to make it as comfortable for guests as possible. We found it really cozy & relaxing. It has everything we needed and was completely spotless. Comfortable bed, piping hot water, modern kitchen & a wood burning stove which completely heats the whole space! Would highly recommend!

Well located for exploring the area, especially with Carrick on Shannon close by for shops etc. The apartment was warm & cosy, and the kitchen had pretty much everything you'd need for creating your meals there. Really good value for my stay, and would very happily visit again.

  • We had such a relaxing time at the cottage, thanks to Ian for guiding us around when we first arrived. We loved the stove and underfloor heating, very cosy and spotlessly clean - what more could you want or need. If you want somewhere to chill out, this is the place for you.

  • Very clean , good parking and very quiet and secluded

    Daran2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very relaxing weekend in Ian-Elaine's picturesque and cosy cottage. They were very accommodating regarding our dog and had the fire lit awaiting our arrival. The later checkout at 11.00 was also much appreciated. Just to be aware the nearest shop is 8min drive, so if you want to settle in right away be organised and bring all the essentials with you i.e. peat for the fire, milk, shower gel, etc. Would definitely recommend for a short getaway.

    Alan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a lovely time in this very cosy cottage. The fire and underfloor heating meant it stayed wonderfully warm even on a wet stormy weekend in February. Ian’s welcome was great and helped us settle in on arrival. Ideal location to explore Enniskillen and around Fermanagh & Cavan. Highly recommended!

    Damien2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage. Perfect for our winter break. So cosy with the underfloor heating and stove which Ian kindly had lit for us on arrival. Super hosts, Elaine had even baked some goodies and they had went to the bother of putting a Christmas tree up. The cottage was absolutely spotless. Even the baby’s high chair was gleaming and I’m usually fussy about using others! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Nestled at the foot of the Cuilcagh Mountains and in beautiful unspoiled West Cavan lies Glendurragh House B&B. Located in a quiet country boreen, yet only 15 minutes from busy towns. The peace and tranquillity are only interrupted by the birds singing and the occasional tractor.
Glendurragh House began life as an old farmhouse dating back to the 1920's. The stone was reused to form the round tower & the trees that were knocked were recycled to form the exposed timber work inside the home.

  • A beautiful cottage in the centre of the village. Probably the most comfortable and cosy stays we've been to. We had a late check in that MJ fully accommodated and the bottle of wine in the fridge was a great touch as we quickly settled into our quiet surroundings. Absolutely spotless with all the amenities needed for you to feel like you're in your own home. We will definitely be back.

    John2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage in a great location. Accommodation is very clean and furnished to a high standard. Plenty of local tips available. MJ is a great host.

    Robert2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • MJ and Fiona have created a lovely welcoming little haven in Ballinamore! It was truly wonderful to come 'home' after a long day out. The cottage has been refurbed to a very high standard and this is obvious from the good quality fixtures and fittings and the excellent finish on the walls and tiles etc. However, it is the small details such as: the abundance of white fluffy towels; nice quality hand cream; delicious cake and treats; the good quality mattress and pillows that make you feel valued as a guest and want to return and recommend the cottage to others. The cottage was ideally situated for us to visit friends and family as well as for some sight-seeing. We can recommend the Glenview Folk Museum where a very knowledgeable and funny chap will give a guided tour of a terrific collection of items that will take you down Memory Lane! For 6 euros it was really good value and if you re the only person there he will give you a personal tour! Also Glencar Waterfall - an hour's drive away through beautiful countryside will leave you 'wowed' especially if it has been raining the day before! there is also a lovely little cafe (and gift shop) that serves delicious home-made soup, cakes and salads etc. There are plenty of good restaurants in Carrick-on -Shannon - a half hour's drive away - and we can heartily recommend the Oarsman on the Main High Street for delicious, reasonably priced food and exceptional service. We had several cosy evenings with a Guiness in front of the fire in Smyth's on Ballinamore High Street and we did all our shopping in the Supervalue supermarket which sells EVERYTHING! they bake fresh soda bread every day which is delicious! There is also a Tesco at the other end of the High Street but we preferred Supervalue as we felt it was more authentically Irish with friendly helpful staff. I would highly recommend Kitty's Cottage to anyone visiting Lovely Leitrim - you won't want to leave and you will certainly want to come back! recommend

  • An idyllic property in beautiful Ballinamore. MJ is everything you could hope for in a welcoming and friendly host. Kitty's Cottage exceeded expectations in every aspect and was a lovely place to stay.

    Neil2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Kitty's cottage. The cottage is beautifully renovated with everything you need and is so cosy! It's is lovely and quiet but in a great location for shops, restaurants and bars. Fiona is very welcoming and had lovely touches to make our stay even better. Highly recommend this cottage for a break away!

  • Staying at Suzie's is like going home to your Mammy. She is so thoughtful and kind. A super host.

    Deardriu2019-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Suzie and her family have been amazing hosts, they literally went through a storm just to check on us, in case we needed something. We had an amazing stay! Suzie and her family are very nice people, who went above and beyond! For the check in Suzie picked us up in the nearby village and showed us where the cottage was located. The cottage was filled with some groceries, which was very nice after our travels. There was enough wood and turf to keep us nice and cozy for more than a month. During our stay we had good communication and they came by if we needed something like picking up garbage, or help with the heating system. They also helped us with all our questions regarding Ireland and local areas. The surroundings are very beautiful, and very peaceful and quiet. Would recommend this to everybody!

    Maurits2018-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderfull cottage with a even more wonderfull host. Suzie was the best host we have came across and we have had a few good ones. So thoughtfull and here home is such a relaxing place with all you need in a great location. Staying here is a must if you want to visit Fermanagh etc being just a few miles over the border. Thanks to Suzie and see you again. 5 Stars

    Richard2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended and very quiet and cozy place. They are lovely

    Alberto2018-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much for our wonderful stay in your cottage, from the minute we arrived we were made so welcome, Suzie is so nice and really went to a lot of trouble with the cottage and all it’s little touches, each touch was very much appreciated eg. some lovely scones left for us, turf and sticks ready in the fire for us to light, fresh flowers on the table, dvds for the kids to watch, books left on the bookcase for a browse if we wanted, night lights left in kids bedrooms, etc, there was absolutely everything we needed for a wonderful holiday, so very thoughtful, the area is beautiful and scenic with lots of things to do nearby, also had some lovely neighbours of sheep and goats! we loved our stay and will definitely be back again very soon, miss the cozy cottage already! Oh and the very comfortable master bed! Thank you Suzie! See you soon

    Sharon2018-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Can only reiterate the previous review. Suzie is a fantastic host, so attentive & even bought our kids little activities just for them! She goes above and beyond! We came here as a family as a base for Marble Arch caves & stairway to heaven, which the cottage was ideal for, though the setting of the cottage is so rural and quantisentually Irish making it even more of a wee gem!! We were lucky enough to watch a meteorite shower whilst staying here too, it added to fab memories at Riverside Cottage! Well worth a stay & we would definitely return!!

    Stacey2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was our favourite Airbnb ever (& we have stayed in a lot of places!) We were so sad to leave. Everything was absolutely perfect for us, from how welcoming Suzie was to us, (a nicer, more kind & genuinely welcoming person you are unlikely to ever meet) how well Suzie provided for us (the cottage had everything we needed & more), the location on a mountain by a river, the sheep, goat & friendly little pony providing a lovely pastoral backdrop. Everything! We will definitely be recommending it to other friends & already cannot wait to come back. A truly wonderful, 100% rural Irish experience.

Curry's Cottage is in a deeply rural location convenient to Enniskillen in Co Fermanagh and Belturbet in Co Cavan. It is close to angling facilities and local sights such as Marble Arch Caves and Castlecoole. You will stay in a modern cottage but be able to enjoy the historic thatched cottage beside it.
Experience a relaxing and peaceful stay in this quiet rural area of Fermanagh. The modern cottage is comfortable and compact and has all the facilities you will need for a comfortable stay. The adjoining thatched cottage is a grade-A listed building with mud walls and cruck thatched roof, little changed in over two hundred years, and visitors can absorb its ambience at their leisure and learn about life in rural Ireland in the 19th century.
Close to the Marble Arch Caves and Enniskillen town is only a 20 min drive away. Bundoran Beach is approx 1 hr picturesque drive away. The french watermill restaurant is stunning and only approx 15 min drive away close to Lisnaskea.
  • Modern, spotlessly clean, snug and cozy living quarters in the Annex surrounded by idyllic countryside. Ideal for short or long term stay. Hearth the hosts are always very responsive if anything is required. Highly recommended.

  • We have spent a wonderful trip in this cottage. Waking up surrounded by such friendly sheep, going out fishing in a magnificent countryside, and spending the night around a cosy fire. We will come back for sure!

    Marie2018-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Curry's cottage is amazing. Old and new compliment each other. Great surroundings. Sheep, birds and pine marten at the back of the thatched cottage. When the sun shone it was wonderful. I caught two rainbows. When it rained i was dry, snug and warm. I'll come back.

  • Had a lovely last minute get away in Conors place. He was very accommodating, considering we enquired and booked our stay with very little notice. House is quaint and in a very peaceful setting which is exactly what we were looking for. There was turf and sticks available for us to use so were able light a fire. Tea, coffee and milk available also. Conor is very quick at responding which always helps. Lovely stay.

Close to pristine lakes, beautiful mountains and the picturesque village of Keshcarrigan, this peaceful sanctuary is the perfect base from which to explore the many attractions this spectacular county has on offer. A rejuvenating retreat for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

  • Geraldine and Noel are two of the nicest people you could possibly hope to meet. The attention to detail and little touches around this beautiful cottage made our stay so memorable. From the warm scones on arrival to breakfast in the fridge we were made feel welcome immediately. The bed is so comfy and the shower is fabulous. The heating was turned on and the electric blankets on the bed were just perfect for a frosty night. There were other thoughtful little surprises sprinkled around the house for us to find and this just added further to the lengths that they both go to to make their guests feel welcome. We'll definitely be staying here again. Beautiful house. Beautiful hosts. 5*****

  • Caroline & Patrick were excellent hosts. They made us feel so welcome. The house was beautifully decorated with french style furniture. The indoor heated swimming pool was the highlight of our holiday, my two boys really enjoyed swimming everyday, twice a day! Caroline kindly left out swimming gear she had for her boys. The location was really beautiful with huge gardens over looking a spectacular lake with geese and ducks. Patrick recommended a visit to lough key forest park, we had a great day there and the boys got to drive miniature tractors and a jeeps! I would highly recommend a visit to Leitrim and staying at Carolines and Patricks house.

  • Patrick and Caroline are lovely people and very welcoming hosts. The house was sparkling clean! Our three children loved the pool and we also made use of the BBQ facilities. The little boat which and with the house made it extra special and the children had a great time rowing out across the lough. Close to several towns and lots of activities around! We plan to return next year!

  • We had an amazing stay here at Caroline's place. The house was spotless and really spacious, it had everything we needed. The view from the house was stunning and looks down on to the river, it's so peaceful and quiet but still handy to several towns. Caroline was a great host and greeted us on arrival and showed us around. We where lucky and had the whole pool to ourselves which my daughter took great advantage of! Would highly reccomend this place!!

  • Patrick and Caroline are great hosts! They go all the way to make us feel very welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. We stayed for four days in early July. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the private heated pool with bubbles. Beds are very comfy and the house is complete for all our basic needs. We loved the nature walks near Lough Scur, the floating Boardwalk on Acres Lough in Drumshambo, a day out in Lough Key and Adventure park where kids had lots of fun especially zip-lining and also very much appreciate the nice evening walks by the marina in Carrick-on-Shannon. Mobile 4G access was limited/poor(one bar and upstairs only) and house is without wifi but most of our time were spent outdoors anyway. Brunch at Sweet Geranium cafe in Drumshambo is the best. All tasty, home made and organic! Driney house was a perfect getaway for myself, wife and four children. I highly recommend the House to anyone looking for a quiet countryside retreat with its private heated pool (with bubbles)!

This waterway allows for ample fishing and boating opportunities. 5km away you will find the picturesque town of Ballinamore. Ballinamore is widely acknowledged as an anglers paradise surrounded by 28 lakes within a 5 mile radius. Located within the middle reaches of the Shannon-Erne Waterway, a narrow canalised river connecting a series of lakes from Lough Scur to Garadice; there is a great variety of waters to be discovered. 14km away you will find the quaint town of Drumshanbo. Every July Drumshanbo plays host to the award winning Joe Mooney Summer School - a week long festival of traditional Irish music, song and dance named after the man who did so much to promote the cause of Leitrim and his beloved town. The committee continue to emulate his high ideals, endeavouring to promote Leitrim's heritage of traditional music while handing on the best traditions of the past to future generations. 20km away you will find the Arigna Mining Experience. This Energy Centre provides visitors with a unique insight into what coal mining life was like in the Arigna Valley, since its beginning in the 1700's until closure in 1990. During the underground tour, visitors will experience what it was like to work in some of the narrowest coal seams in the western world. The tour which will last 45 minutes brings visitors to the coal face of the mine, where the methods used to extract coal are demonstrated. Lighting and sound effects in the mine, add to the authenticity of the underground experience. 24km away you will find Carrick-on-Shannon - the hub of Lovely Leitrim with several restaurants, tea rooms, traditional pubs and modern bars. Carrick has earned a reputation as a Foodie's haven with several award-winning restaurants and coffee shops along with a farmer's market, a craft brewery and lots of specialist local food suppliers. Take a walk out over the River Shannon on the boardwalk. Enjoy browsing in boutique clothes shops, antiques, interiors and book shops. Within a 25km range you could treat yourself to afternoon tea and a visit to the gardens of the beautiful Lough Rynn Castle. Kilronan Castle boasts a truly wonderful spa and do great day packages if you fancy some pampering. 40km will take you to Lough Key Forest Park and Activity Centre where you can try ziplining, take a tree top walk or enjoy a picnic on the lake shore.

  • Returning to the area after a 30 year break with myself and 2 other gents in our 50++ we were looking for a comfortable base for our fishing trip. This property is superb in many ways, our hosts Geraldine and Shaun, the Cottage was absolutely fantastic, my bedroom curtains that were never closed due to the fantastic views of the lake and the Donkeys in the field and the fact the we had a visit from "Elvis" (the Dog) every morning that seemed to coincide with our breakfast and later joining us to watch TV. We unfortunately managed to have extremely unusual weather for the time of year and it was testing for fishing but we did fish and catch some special fish including 6 lb+ Bream from our door step and 5 lb Tench from the village. This is a fisherman's Paradise or a lovely place to relax and unwind.

  • A beautiful house! I don't often give 5 star reviews but Michael and Rowan Lodge more than deserve it. A lovely super clean house with great amenities and lovely finishing touches. Warm, comfortable and classy is how I describe Rowan Lodge. Everything about Rowan Lodge is a pleasure. Charming Kath checked us in and gave us a quick tour, showed us all the amenities and left us with lovely extras such as fresh eggs, milk, cereal and many more items. The house is super clean and well cared for, warm with easily controlled heating and plenty of hot water. The beds are comfortable with nice linens, so many great things about this house I could go on and on. I recommend experiencing Rowan Lodge for yourself and it will now be my first choice when booking accommodation at Drumcoura. Thank you Michael for sharing your beautiful house.

  • I was always wondering what a superhost was. Now that I met Geraldine and Paul I know. I really enjoyed my stay and I will come back for sure

    Ditmar2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Well I have to say this was a lovely place, ticked all the boxes, it’s by far the best I have stayed in.

  • Much space. Friendly and correct. To recommend.

    Paul2019-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect B&B with large rooms and comfy beds. Geraldine is extremely welcoming and charming and will make you feel right at home. Park yourself at their giant kitchen table while she gets the tea kettle going. Paul, a chef, will prepare the finest possible full fry, delicious beyond what you could imagine. Paul is also a top self fishing guide and will take you to some supreme fishing spots. He will share with you some of his secret boyhood fishing locations. The scenery is gorgeous and the fishing, for me, was tremendous. Come here if you enjoy spending the day in the boat exploring beautiful fishing holes. Killashandra is a classic Irish town, and set away from the main motorway. You can walk from the B&B to LoughBawn hotel for a hearty and tasty supper and also to Kelly's pub for a pint. Great fishing, food, hosts and scenery... looking forward to coming every year.

  • This is a lovely spacious apartment on the side of Bettys home. Big screen TV, big bedroom and bathroom, well equipped, clean and very comfortable. I felt very relaxed here and Betty made sure I needed nothing. Somewhat off the beaten track, quiet location, you do need a car - shops/pubs in Killashandra couple of miles away. Cavan 20 minute drive. A peaceful setting that I would highly recommend. Thank you Betty for your hospitality, my favorite bnb host this summer!

    Jo2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Betty and Fergus were great hosts! I stayed for over two months and never had any problems. The apartment was lovely, and betty was always checking to make sure I didn't need anything. You definitely need a car at this location, but the town is only about 2miles away. I was looking to stay in a rural area, so it suited me perfectly. I would definitely stay again!
