“Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. In late 2019, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo will become 'The Little Zoo That Grew' when we move to our new 25-acre home! The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is home to more than 600 exotic animals including lions, tigers, macaws, reptiles, kangaroos, lemurs, sloths to name just a few. The Zoo features a petting zoo along with seasonal animal encounters, a new mining sluice and interactive animal shows during the spring and summer months. The Zoo is the highest ticked attraction in Baldwin County and welcomed more than 175,000 visitors in 2017. The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is open every day of the year from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. The admission fee is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors (55+), $10 for kids 3-12 and kids age 2 and under are free. The mission of the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is to create compelling experiences that connect people and community with wildlife and inspire personal responsibility for conservation of the natural world.”
