Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Rowan County

I rented this home for my daughter's 16th birthday and we really had a wonderful time! The house is very nice and the lake with the kayaks and the paddle board were fantastic! My daughters also loved the swings and the hammocks. We did have an issue out of the owners control and they responded within minutes and were willing to do whatever they could to help. We would definitely love to go back at another time!

This is our 3rd time staying at High Rock Lake, we’ve bounced around and this was one of the best spots to stay! First we were stoked about an early check in, that was 1 extra hour we got to spend on vacation!! The house was very clean and was well put together. It came with lots of special touches like a dog kennel, bowls and a mat; separate towels for the lake, and black washcloths for make up’d faces. The screened in porch was our favorite spot and we spent a lot of time there! The kitchen was stocked with all of the appliances you could possibly want and plenty of cookware. We had a small issue upon arrival (out of everyone’s control) and our hosts were quick to respond and resolve and it was much appreciated! We really enjoyed the kayaks and fishing off the dock - it was nice there were so many chairs and it made it easy to enjoy multiple spaces. If you’re looking for a great getaway, this is the spot!

We stayed here when we came to town for our family NASCAR trip. Both kids had their own room we had our own room the house was very neat and tidy. Have nothing bad to say and would definitely be staying here again when I come back for another trip

Unique building built in the 1900’s but fully updated inside with all the amenities you need. Since it’s older it has its quirks but is comfortable and a great location for historic Salisbury and a couple museums around the area. It’s nice to have a fenced in yard for the pups and also use of the garage which came in handy the morning of checkout since it was raining we were able to keep ourselves dry while loading the car. It’s on a sort of busy street during the day so you do hear some car noise but not a big deal if you’re used to the city. At night didn’t seem bad at all and was able to sleep like a baby on the huge king bed. Thanks again for everything

We had a wonderful time there and the house is beautiful and it is very peaceful. I wish we had better luck fishing as the water is very low for about 100 ft out or so. But overall the stay was wonderful and the host is amazing and very proactive and easy to communicate with. We will be back later on in the year for sure.

Jeremy's place was a great value: comfortable beds, clean and cozy spaces, fully equipped kitchen, and in a quiet neighborhood where we could take our morning walk. We found “Maine state of mind” in Kannapolis a well equipped home close to DT. The owners Hunter & Jordan were extremely accommodating and they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed ! We certainly would recommend them as hosts. Thank you . Pamela & Ken Brodhead

We loved our stay ! It was very peaceful and so beautiful, our 1yr old son enjoyed walking through the property and seeing all the beautiful animals. I would definitely stay here again !

We loved staying at Laurie’s home and had an incredible weekend. The space was perfect for our 20-person baby shower and the home was a cozy place to relax before and after. I was a little concerned if the A/C would be sufficient in an older home, but it worked great along with the updated appliances. You are about 12 minutes from town but feel like you’re miles away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This property is the perfect place to make special memories with loved ones and we hope to stay here again someday!

This place was perfect for our crew of 8. Everyone had plenty of room and the space they needed. The location could not be beaten with the water being right across a private road with your own dock access. We spent many hours out there and in the private pool in the backyard. The host also let us check in early since we were ahead of schedule. Five star stay

The cottage is a beautiful escape into an quieter and simpler way of life. Well equipped. Easy commute to the transportation museum, downtown shops and restaurants and wineries. Our second stay, and the whole family had another truly remarkable experience. Will be back 💕

Tina’s place was a 5 star oasis. The place was very clean and peaceful. She had everything that we needed there. We did not have any issues. We would definitely recommend.

Thanks everything was great from me asking how far you were from the location of our event for the weekend. To me and my family making memories. It’s hard to make memories with adult children in the start of their careers but this home allowed my husband and myself to make those memories. From myself and my youngest being able to open the windows and talk to my husband and my oldest down on the dock fishing and my grandpup watching his mom and pop pop fish with granny and auntie. So thank you for opening up your home to us. It’s definitely worth the money!

The place was amazing booked it for my wifes bday and our anniversary the pictures do not compare at all the place looks even more amazing in person it was very clean it was very peaceful being there Ranin was very pleasant to deal with and communicated back and forth almost immediately with any questions or concerns i had the pool and hot tub couldve used a little cleaning but it was just opened for the season so im sure itll get the attention it needed overall the place was amazing i 100% plan on coming back to this place

This was the perfect house for our family. We were attending a wedding in a nearby town and needed a lot of space. There were thoughtful amenities, like coffee filters , coffee, even a bottle of cold brew, cooking oil, salt and pepper, dish detergent, laundry detergent. There is even a basket of yoga mats and blankets! We didn't have to go shopping for essentials. I always received a prompt response to my questions. There were plenty of linens and towels. The kitchen had everything you needed for cooking for a lot of people. Plenty of plates and pots and pans and utensils. All in all, this was a great spot to stay for a week. We would have used the provided grill and outdoor space much more if we hadn't encountered so much rain! There is a lot of noise from Lane Street, but we only had to open the windows for one night, that's when we noticed it. I highly recommend this house if you have a large group.

Zachary’s home was perfect for our weekend stay with our two little ones. Everything was very clean, nicely decorated, looked like it was recently renovated, and had everything we needed for our stay. There is a park just down the street that has a playground and pickleball courts. Close to restaurants and grocery stores.

Enjoyed this lakehouse. Had all the essential amenities. Check in was easy. Beautiful views by the firepit.

This house is a gem. An older home in an older established lake front neighborhood with friendly but unobtrusive neighbors, it is a period piece from a more peaceful time. The furnishings are older, but oh so comfortable and clean - we loved all the recliners! The dressers are solid vintage. The beds are super comfortable. Toni is super helpful and friendly and communicates when and if you need or want to. Perfect! I brought a babygate for the back porch so we could hang out back there with the dogs. A wonderful stay overall.

My family and I had a great stay. The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Aaron was friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was perfect—close to everything but still quiet and relaxing. Would definitely stay here again!

Janna's lake house is adorable. Beautifully decorated. So clean. and that view makes for great sunsets. I loved it. Can't wait to visit again. the neighbors are great too!! highly recommend!!
