Live like a Portland native for a short or long term stay. Park in the driveway and easily walk to every corner of the city. Original pumpkin pine floors, nine foot ceilings, exposed brick, and sunny southern exposure make this 177 year old Greek revival feel immediately like home. A recently renovated kitchen and bathroom offer modern comforts steeped in historic surround.
“A private urban flat provisioned to make you feel immediately at home.”

Portland, Maine, United States
Located perfectly harbor side where the commercial Old Port meets the historic West End. This steep sloped corner of the city is steps from a 2.5 acre city park, playground and surrounded by historic architecture. A coffee shop is across the street and a gastro pub with craft cocktails is 600 feet from the front door. Within a seven-minute walk is an organic grocer, a deli, a dive bar, a bakery, butcher, and waterfront fish monger.

I willfully and purposefully wandered far, long into my twenties. When I stumbled upon the City of Portland, Maine, her icy cliffs rising high above the sea, a kinship I never expected, cemented. I consider myself an adopted son of these brick sidewalks, and I seek to share the niche and familiar destinations to which they lead. Travel is intrinsic to my nature and a shared value with my husband Andy. Together we reside on the second floor of the Captain Hasty House in our own comfortably minimalist flat. If you seek recommendations during your stay, we welcome your curiosity. If you seek solitude, we understand as we travel for similar purpose. I've spent twenty years rehabilitating derelict and forgotten properties and this 2 family home is the one of which I am most proud. Thank you for the opportunity to offer you, our first floor flat, share the majesty of Portland, and welcome you to a residence that immediately feels like home.
