“Your own private mini-estate! Squeeze sun-warmed lemons & oranges straight from the trees. Take your cocktail to the roof deck for sunset appreciation. Enjoy the fire table. Soak in the view of distant Joshua Tree park. Play games on the lawn; splash in the large pool. Hang under misters by the shady cabana. Stargaze from the jetted hot tub while you plan a hike. Slip into soft sheets. Relax!”

We love the dry heat of the desert! But we also LOVE to swim. And we love to rest while the kids play in the pool. Thus, The End of the Trail as the perfect escape from Canadian winters to a unique climate and chance to experience different birds, wildlife, and plants. I love learning about how First Nations peoples used the desert plants. I enjoy growing edibles. And of course hitting farm stands and farmer's markets for local avocados, citrus and strawberries. Our three young kids go to a Montessori program. Hiking and seeing cactus and desert flowers is amazing. Our most memorable sighting was a giant desert tortoise in nearby Joshua Tree National Park. My husband loves road biking and trail running and often goes extreme distances. He provides business and legal services to corporate lending and insolvency clients. Besides the American southwest, we love travelling in British Columbia, Oregon, and Central America. When we travel, we love to rent houses. It's fantastic having a kitchen and washing machine. I hope you will come and enjoy the uniquely beautiful American Southwest desert while staying one of the nicest vacation pads I've ever seen. When we saw it, we fell in love with it and knew it was where we wanted to spend a good part of our retirement. For now, we borrowed against our mortgage to buy it and use our rental income to pay the mortgage and many upkeep and upgrade costs. We strive to ensure the pool and gardens are kept very tidy, and that the house is well maintained and well equipped. The open air casita and the garage roof stargazing deck beckon! Enjoy our home, your home away from home!
