This 1920 home is on a tree lined street. The interior of the home is a mixture of modern and period decor. The Very best area of the city!

Great bed frame, mattress, new pillows and bedding. All sheets are white and go through a sanitize cycle when laundered. During cold weather, this queen bed has a dual control heated cotton mattress pad.

The space
Large 1920 built Edwardian House - warm and friendly atmosphere. Several areas of the house have gone through an update/renovation. The listing bedroom comfortably fits 1 or 2 guests. There is ample parking. An oscillating fan comes standard in the room.

The neighborhood has larger, well kept, century old homes. Streets in this area are tree lined. Quick access, just beyond the neighborhood, to shopping and popular restaurants. The expressway is a few blocks away.

Other things to note
An EPA approved professional strength disinfectant will be used daily on all high touch areas in the public areas of the house as a preventative measure to kill cold, flu and coronavirus.

The house has a fairly quiet atmosphere. Though vegetarian friendly, there is also a meat eater on the premises. LGBT friendly as well.

The houses were all built in the early 1900's (from (phone number hidden)). Every property on the street has at least one tree in the front yard and most trees are close to 100 years old. The street is extra wide, which gives it a feeling of spaciousness. The area is quiet and in my opinion it's also very safe.

All of the Airbnb private rooms are named after streets in the area, which, in turn, are named after famous scientists from throughout the ages. I have a large house in a central location. I co-own this house with a good friend and business partner who's name is Brett. He also acts as a host. Depending on the days of your stay and the hours you keep, you might see one of us more than the other. Both Scott and myself have worked extensively in the hospitality industry. We both genuinely enjoy hosting Airbnb guests. It's well understood that some people come into town and want their privacy. Additionally, there are those that would prefer to know their hosts better and enjoy friendly discussions. You, as our guest, will make the decision as to how much interaction there is. We have 3 rooms that are available for Airbnb guests with 1 and a half bathrooms for use. We supply 400 thread count sheets with a variety of pillows, cotton bath sheet sized towels, hand towels and wash cloths. We also maintain an ample supply of soaps and shampoos in the bathroom. A hair dryer is available. We do go out of our way to be considerate and listen to our guests. While you're here, we do understand that this would be your home away from home! Please let us know of any special needs you may have when you book your room. The Internet connection is fiber to the house with high speed WiF to all locations within the house. During our first year with Airbnb, we hosted many more women than men. Additionally, we've been lucky to host guests from all over the United States, as well as Canada, Ireland, England, Belgium, Germany, Austria, South Africa, Brazil, China, Japan and Australia. The house is located within walking distance of shops/boutiques, banks, restaurants, bars and grocery stores. If you are without an automobile, a bus stop is within a hundred feet of the house. Our street has large, hundred year old trees on most properties with many great gardens. Although the house is in the city, there’s a lot of green around the house during the spring, summer and fall seasons. Many guests have remarked on the beautiful homes that are close by and how much they enjoy walking the area. Two of the most expensive houses in the city are within a casual minute walk and one of them is Rochester’s only Frank Lloyd Wright house. We’re fortunate to not have the same criminal activities present that can be found in so many other areas of the city. FYI to UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER STUDENTS - the U of R bus shuttle is very close by. Many U of R students have found this very convenient -- living in a nice neighborhood and having convenient local transportation to the campus. Rochester Institute of Technology, St. John Fisher, Nazareth and Monroe Community College are close and can be traveled to via the local city bus line. The George Eastman house is a casual 10 minute walk.
