LOCATION CAN NOT BE BEATEN. Conor was awesome to communicate with! We knew exactly what to expect, and he was very clear about some questions I had on the reviews other guests had mentioned like heat and noise. Personally, we stayed on long wknd and the noise and heat were minimum and less than what I expected from a main road. Everyone slept well with windows open and fans Conor had provided. I stayed with my mum, sister, and 2 small kids, and we were all very comfy, and grateful to Conor for making the space work for us. Pool and beach across the road made for perfect evenings of playtime, and sunset picnics. Bus stop, coffee, pizza, store all in a stones throw. It was perfect for what we needed. Parking is a nightmare, but we were made well aware of that, and its doable with patience. The apt is still lived in by Conor and his roomie, obviously they were away when we stayed, they leave all of their personal items out, and does have a student bachelor flat feel. Would stay again for location!!!

The location of Conor's apartment is fantastic! Right across Kits beach and right next to a bunch of restaurants. Its also located next to the busstop from where you can take a bus to downtown. The place was simple but clean. Conor was not in town, but very responsive to any questions we have. Just a quick note to travelers: It did get quite hot in the apartment and there is no AC. (But to be fair, we visited on a particularly hot weekend and Conor had provided fans in every room which was very nice). Also, there is no microwave in the apartment. But those aren't very big concerns, and I highly recommend the place.

The unit was very clean and nicely decorated. Without air conditioning, the Windows need to be kept open in order to sleep. This location, is on a main road and very noisy even with ear plugs at night. The owners provided fans which helped with airflow. The unit does not have a microwave or chairs to eat away from the living room. Great location, but noisy.

Conor was a tremendous and helpful host. As someone who rents homes/apts/condos all over, his apt was my first that I hadn't inquired about certain things like, a microwave, Tv, coffee pot, dishwasher. I guess one just expects them to be in place whether you use them or not. There is no a/c so the bedroom off the kitchen was unbearably hot for sleeping . We did leave all 3 fans going full speed blowing towards that bedroom all night long. This DEFINITELY is not a rental if you have little children!! Lots of noise, neighbors doors banging, conversations out in the hall til midnight. It's a very tired and very run down in the hallways so if your looking for nice paint, clean hall carpeting you won't find it here...and be prepared there's a lot of stairs to get in the bldg which sits atop Starbucks. We were fine with that as we're all walkers/hikers. Again it's more or less a beach apt so do NOT expect any glam at all ! Also there is a shared laundry room in the hallway. This is def a place I'm sure beach bums would be more than comfortable, but a family...not so much. It is in an area close to certain places but we still took many cabs . We didn't see any parking so I was happy we hadn't rented a vehicle. All in all I would stay again. Don't think we'd have anyone stay in the one bdrm however as even our grown kids couldn't take the heat just trying to get ready in that room! Conor couldn't have been more helpful, him I'd give a 10+!

Response from Conor:
Shannon. On behalf of my roommate and I, we're happy to hear that aside from a couple of shortfalls, you enjoyed your stay and would stay again. We're genuinely sorry about the few areas that didn't meet your expectations. With respect to amenities, our AirBnB profile states that we don't have a TV or AC. Our hope is that when guests stay here, they make the most of all that Vancouver has to offer, and save watching TV for weeknights at home. You're right -- Vancouver can get hot in the summer! Fans are provided. We're considering adding AC, but it's only necessary a few days of the year and the fans typically work fine just fine. In terms of coffee - we've provided a French Press. We will include clearer instructions for it going forward so that everyone can get the caffeine boost they need to jump start the day. Alternatively - I'd recommend Viva Cafe (local, amazing, and just across the street) or for something familiar: Starbucks is directly downstairs. We apologize about the noise - we're located in one of the most popular areas during the summer, and one of the evenings you were staying had Fireworks which draws hundreds of thousands of people, and that usually means the neighbours have people over to enjoy them as well. We'll be mindful to give a heads up going forward for big events like this. That's great feedback on your part. With regards to the hallways, I wish we could do more to brighten them up. It's the owners and building manager who take care of them so it's sadly out of our hands. We are proud and take very good care of the apartment itself, and have received many compliments from previous guests on the look and feel. We hope you felt the same way about our home. Lastly - re: parking. In an ideal world we could provide a temporary parking pass to anyone staying with us. The city of Vancouver doesn't grant temporary permits. However, you can usually find a spot within a few blocks, and there's a loading zone outside our building which allows you to park temporarily to drop off and pickup your luggage or people. Ultimately - thank you for the feedback, and we'll definitely be looking at how we can improve the experience for future guests. If you're considering our place -please feel free to reach out with any specific questions and we'll respond as quickly as possible to make sure your stay is exactly what you're looking for. Cheers, Conor

Conor was very accommodating about meeting my son to provide a key since I was arriving late. Location is fantastic and I loved having the waterfront right there. Be aware that it is on a busy street and there is traffic noise at night. This is not an apartment that is unused except for rentals so it is a personal space with Conor's items evident, but I really enjoyed his selection of music.
