This villa was built in the early 20th century, but it was completely renovated in 2015. A garden of about 300 square meters, with flowers and orange trees, comple it.
It is beautiful, large, and romantic: a truly original piece of the Eternal City.

The space

Beautiful, comfortable, spacious villa for 8 to 16 people a few steps away from Trastevere station (train terminal to / from Fiumicino airport). Full of light, quiet (even though it is situated in close proximity to Rome’s thriving old centre), the villa is on 2 floors of a 1911’s building. It has been redecorated and furnished with care in 2015. At the ground floor it has a spacious living room with double sofa bed, a fully furnished kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, fridge with freezer, oven and 4 burner stove), 1 bedroom with king-size bed, and one bathroom. At the second floor there are: 1 bedroom with king-size bed, 1 bedroom with a bunk-bed, 1 small bedroom with a queen-size bed, two bathrooms (one with shower and one with double sink and tub) and a balcony. Behind the kitchen there is a terrace with tables and chairs and a seating area. Air conditioning, wireless internet connection. In the basement there is an independent apartment: if the number of guests exceeds 10 units the outbuilding apartment allowing you to easily accommodate other guests: you will have two more bedrooms another bathroom with tub and shower. To see the photos of the dependanc, please go in my profile and select: "Bright, quiet apartment, close to the centre"
A beautiful and well-decorated large space, an accurate service, silence and comfort will make your holiday unique.

This was a great villa for our group of 10, with a good balance of amenities and location. The neighborhood borders Trastevere and Testaccio, both of which are packed with bars and restaurants, yet the villa itself is on a quiet residential street of gated homes. We found the location to be extremely convenient -- it's an easy walk from the Roma Trastevere station (with access to the airport), is close to multiple bus lines, and is an easy (5 minute) walk to two of the main electric tram lines (lines 3 and 8, which head up to the Pantheon and Colosseum, respectively). A 1.5-euro transit ticket will get you passage on any Rome metro, bus, or tram... good for 120 minutes from time of validation, I believe (tickets available at local tobacco shops, bars, news stands, stations). It's also possible to take a regional train (FL3) up to the the Vatican from a station that's about a 10 minute walk from the villa (tickets 1 euro each). If you want to stroll all the way to central Rome (or the Vatican), count on roughly a 40-minute walk (we did this a couple of times, checking out the neighborhoods and parks encountered along the way). There's a well-equipped grocery store just a few blocks up the street. And for those arriving by car (as we did), the villa has private, gated parking (in the villa driveway) for a modest daily fee. The villa itself was well equipped, with a large kitchen, an indoor dining area that will accommodate 10, and several nice outdoor spaces, including a large rooftop terrace that affords views of the surrounding neighborhood and nice evening breezes. Note: this is probably not great place for anyone who has issues navigating stairs (it's on three levels, including the rooftop level); this was not a problem for our group, but worth considering for anyone with mobility issues. Also worth noting that while the villa (first floor through rooftop, including rooftop terrace) is private and you'll have it to yourself, the outdoor spaces on the main level are shared with residents of a basement apartment. This caused us no concerns or problems. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. The villa caretaker was very patient and accommodating when we had troubles with our rental car that led to a delayed departure. Our only minor disappointment: the lights on the rooftop terrace weren't working during our stay, making the otherwise fantastic rooftop space a bit less functional and charming than it would have been otherwise.

The house is really very beautiful, it has been newly decorated with taste and creativity. We particularly appreciated that the rooms were all very spacious and full of light, sometimes it is hard to make out size and light from the pictures and you can get disappointed upon arrival. Since the weather was excellent we manged to exploit a lot the outdoors; the garden was beautiful, also there is a lovely terrace at the back of the house where we had our meals and spent long evening s chatting and relaxing. The area too was very nice, elegant and quiet but also friendly and with a touch of real “romanity” about it. For what concerns transportation it is very easy to reach downtown with a tram that passes every few minutes. It was a very pleasant stay, thanks you Danila and thank you Rome!

On arrival, our welcome was pretty poor, the person who received us was not personable and seemed in a hurry to leave us ... In addition, we chose to rent an entire home and we were surprised to meet in the garden, several tenants occupants basements of the house, over the days. Every day, without being forewarned, we also find an unknown person with the key that was never made, and who was there he seems to clean the car owner, to tidy up, or others. .. The house is spacious, well laid out and well decorated. However, it lacks a few drinks in the kitchen and air conditioning, despite its high cost, is essential in August because of the heat and the presence of voracious mosquitoes. Finally, despite what is said, the house is not located in the heart of Trastevere but so close to over 3 km from the historic center.

Our host Danila was excellent at communicating with us before our trip and while we were in Rome. She suggested many wonderful neighborhood restaurants. And when we had specific requests at the villa she was quick to make sure we had enough linens, etc. At no point did I feel like I was not in the best hands for our stay. It was a great feeling to know that if I had an emergency I would have someone to help me. The villa was every bit of what it was advertised.

Splendid - that's the word for this villa - splendid in every respect. It is stylish, spacious, cool, it has outside dining areas, comfortable beds and was a delight to stay in. Highly recommended.
