The space
A Victorian terrace house with period charm and modern convenience. Enhanced by natural light, period features, high ceilings with ceiling roses, wide skirting, stain glass doors and original mantels. It includes an arched hallway, bedroom, living room, well appointed galley style kitchen opening to another lounge & dining room, and bathroom with unique sunken bath.

The rear section of the house was designed by architect A. Cronin and completed in 1983. It is a timeless fresh, light filled design with cathedral ceilings and high north facing windows to maximise light.

The house opens out through double French doors into a luscious green garden with stunning canopy tree. This space is shared with the studio at the rear of the garden. Known as Studio 58 this space is also available on airbnb and may be occupied during your stay. Both the house and studio have their own courtyards with bench seating. Seating pads are available for increased comfort.

Guest access
Guests will have access to 1 x bedroom, formal lounge, kitchen, bathroom, additional lounge area including dining, and front and rear garden areas.

The rear garden is shared with the self contained studio apartment at the rear of the property. Both areas have their own courtyards, and further privacy is achieved with plants, privacy glass and custom blinds.

Other things to note
Parking on Disraeli Street is limited to 2 hours on weekdays (not weekends).

A parking permit is available for use during your stay. We require a $100 deposit paid through the airbnb platform prior to arrival. You'll find this waiting for you along with the house manual on the kitchen bench when you arrive. A refund will be authorised upon return of the permit at the end of your stay (within 1 day).

Please note:
If you would prefer to avoid the permit process there is unrestricted free parking further down Disraeli Street and in the neighbouring streets (Eglinton Street and
Gladstone Street)

Kew is known for its charming blend of culture and convenience. It's close enough to the city to be convenient, far enough away to get out from the hustle and bustle. It offers scenic tree lined streets with a mixture of architectural styles, vast parklands including walking & bike tracks, quality groceries, fresh produce and gourmet delights, plus a diverse range of unique cafes and restaurants. Whether you're in the mood for a quick coffee fix or a leisurely brunch with friends, Kew's cafes provide a delightful array of options to satisfy every palate. All of this and you're only 7 kms from the heart of thriving Melbourne city.

Arranmore is a short walk away from public transport, the Recreation Centre, a fabulous contemporary art museum (Lyon Housemuseum), and High Street (the main thoroughfare into the heart of the shopping strip) You'll find wonderful providores, cafes and restaurants. I recommend Toscanos (fruit & veggies) , Woodfrog bakery, and Cannings butcher for your groceries. There are many quality cafes and restaurants to choose from, some of my personal favourites include Ora Cafe, Frank & Harri, Xocolatl (they make the most delicious hand made chocolates - truly special), Cru and Centonove. You'll find these detailed in the link below with all accompanying links. In addition the Yarra river and parklands are a beautiful 10 minute walk away, and within the area you can do bush walking, hire row boats and play golf. We really have the fortunate lifestyle blend of city and nature here in Kew.

Lives in Melbourne, Australia
I am from Melbourne, though think of myself a person of the world. I travel whenever possible, ideally staying long enough to absorb a little culture and stimulate further learning. I am curious by nature. Drawn to architecture, art, food, beauty, and nature I like to take in all that surrounds me. A stylist who loves to create, I specialise in interiors, food and events. I've lived and worked in many places around the world and am always ready for more of the same. When home I love being a host. I enjoy preparing and sharing my spaces and creating memories for others.
