*Cozy one bedroom condo with spacious kitchen, one bathroom with tiled shower & tub, gas fire place, front loading washer and dryer, and balcony. A mere three 1/2 block walk to the festive downtown. Free parking space in safe, gated lot. Free Wifi.

The space
I posted this listing for the occasions that I am out and about for more than a few days, as this is the only time I am able to rent out my entire condo. Usually, because this is my home where I live, I only rent out a private room with kitchen and bathroom availability. With this in mind, please treat this space with the respect and the knowledge that this is my home that I love very much and look forward to coming back to very shortly!!! :)

I do have one very friendly cat--Spooky-- feel free to give him some kitty love or ignore him and he will eventually go away. He will be fine either way. He has plenty of food and water in my room.

**Special Note: please be aware that I do not issue refunds for guests who leave early due to cat allergies. Having said that, many guests with allergies to cat dander have stayed here for lengthy periods of time with absolutely no problems, some have even come back to stay again. But please know you are waiving your right to a refund if you know you have severe cat allergies and choose to stay at a place where a cat also lives.

My home is in a very convenient location: about a 3 block walk to the lively downtown area, and across the street from the lovely, sunny, River Street cafe that serves wholesome, organic meals till 5pm, as well as the Patagonia Outlet. I am also half a block from a few more eateries and shops including Shun Feng Chinese Restaurant, Chipotle, Cost-Plus World Market--not to mention a 15 minute bike ride to the Boardwalk, and a 5 minute car ride to Pogonip-- Santa Cruz city's own local, hiking spot in the woods-- with quite a few scenic trails to explore.

My home is right off the freeway too-- so it is extremely easy to get to, and a relief when you are tired and just want to rest instead of drive through numerous mazes in town.

A little about me: I am an elementary school teacher who adores her students and commutes Monday through Friday to San Jose where I work. In the summer of 2015 I followed my dream of purchasing a place of my own in Santa Cruz--my favorite place in the world. However, I knew upon acquiring my two bedroom condo that I would need to either rent out or Air BnB the extra room to stay afloat. So one extra bonus for you is that, upon reserving a night at my quaint, relaxing nook, you can feel good about supporting a local teacher!! ;)
