The space
Designed by world renowned architect Greg Burgess, this rustic dedicated Air Bnb works great for medium to large groups looking for a place to stay together whilst maintaining privacy.
The New Zealand Karri outdoor traditional Japanese spa can fit 6-8 adults and is a lovely way to unwind in the evening. It’s auto heating and will be ready each night around 6pm.
The 100 year old cottage area has two queen sized beds which are separated by a pot belly fire and several comfy couches. The master bedroom in the contemporary renovation has a queen size bed and the separate studio has a queen downstairs and a queen and one single bed in the loft. This area also has a pot belly wood fire.
There are large outdoor sheltered dining areas, as well as smaller garden nooks where a couple might have breakfast or sit and enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching kangaroos feed in the evening. The fire pit is great for friends to gather around, tell stories and roast marshmallows.

Guest access
You will have the whole place to yourselves. Have a wander around the various wings of the house and choose the room that best suits you. With it's own bathroom, kitchenette, potbelly fire and bushland views, the studio is a home within a home.

Other things to note
We supply pillows doona’s and blankets but not the bed sheets, doona covers, pillow cases, tea towels, shower matts or body towels. Please bring your own.

There are spare woolen blankets in a chest located in the old granite cottage.

We supply essentials like soap, toliet paper, tea, sugar, salt and pepper.
The kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils, pots, pans, percolater, plunger cutlery, plates and cups etc.

Please do not adjust the spa settings as it’s all auto and will be ready to use every night around 6pm. Put the cover back on after each use to help keep the heat in. Also, please make sure to keep the water level above the inlets so it can circulate and get warm!

Please only use scavenged timber for the outdoor fire pit. The cut firewood is for the indoor fires only. There is plenty of timber to scavenge in the bushland surrounding the cottage. Due to bushfire risk, the outdoor fire is not to be used in summer.

If you are with Telstra you will enjoy good mobile reception, Optus/vodaphone users can usually get some reception up the top of Oslers Rd (our driveway).

We're in a drought and rely on rain water so please use water responsibly.

Please let me know if you’d like a late checkout and I’ll endeavour to make it happen. If there is another booking on the same day it will not be possible.

In Summer, please download the Vic Emergency app and pay close attention to alerts for total fire ban days, bushfire warnings etc etc. It's important you take responsibility for your safety (and that of your family). Evacuate if necessary and seek refuge in Stawell. In an emergency tune to abc local radio on FM 107.9AM or AM 594 for warnings and advice.
