House Rules

On off-grid power - please switch off lights and any power usage that is not immediately required. No night lights to be left on, please bring a torch if heading out/returning after dark.

Appliances such as hair dryers, electric kettle and toasters cannot be used. If you bring an electric appliance, please check with us if it's ok to use first. Use of heavy-usage electrical appliances will quickly drain the battery bank causing total power shut down and irreparable damage!

Weather that is overcast, raining or during winter months generates very little solar power into the battery bank. This means that power saving measures, efficient use of electricity is even more important during this sort of weather/season.

Phone chargers can be used, as can laptops. Please note that we are on rainwater tanks not mains water. An electric pump operates water supply to the house, so please minimise use of water after 11pm to reduce electric pump noise for others.

The accommodation was great. The location was not far from Bright, and quite close to the Wandi pub. Everything was immaculately clean, and the hosts were helpful without being intrusive. As mentioned in the description, cooking facilities weren't extensive (fine for breakfast) so you're best to eat dinner out instead of cooking it yourself. The resident geese were a bit noisy around 7am, but not for long. The bedroom was nice and dark when the curtains were closed, with big black-out curtains which made sleeping in easy. Overall a great experience. We'd happily come back.

Stayed at Megan and Geoff's place for our anniversary. Megan put the extra effort to make our stay extra warm and welcoming. Lovely to meet very kind people who care about the earth. Thanks guys!

Megan's place was super clean and comfortable. Exactly how it looks in the photos. She was a lovely host and allowed us to just do our own thing. We loved the cheeky little pup too!

Megan was a fantastic host, her communication was the best we've had. Her place was very clean and cosy and the bed was so warm and snuggly! Gorgeous place for a weekend getaway! Make sure you purchase some fresh eggs, they were absolutely delicious!

Megan's place is a lovely secluded space in the country. This is the perfect place to stay if you're laid back and likes nature and tranquility. We thought we wouldn't be warm enough as we stayed in the middle of winter, but we had some of our best sleeps here! The bed is so comfortable! The place is minimalist but has everything that you need. Megan is also a very lovely host. Definitely recommending this place!

We had a fantastic stay! The accommodation was a great little base to enjoy all we had planned in the Alpine region. Very clean, warm and cosy, with a nice big bed to collapse into at the end of the day. Megan was a great host, it was a pleasure dealing with her. We would definitely recommend this Airbnb, and hope to stay again!

A nice little base for two for a snow or cycling getaway. It's just up the road from the Wandi pub which was good for dinner and a drink. Make sure you try Megan's delicious eggs; they taste of cinnamon!
