The space
This is a fully air-conditioned private bedroom and bathroom with a private garden courtyard plus an outdoor, hot water, rain shower.
Your room includes breakfast, it has internet wifi and also full cable TV.
The freshwater swimming pool is in the main villa area and it's not a private pool just for this guest room. But, there's only 2 guest rooms so it's still very much a relaxed, quiet pool. There are NO chemicals in this pool. No chlorine, no salt, no bromine, it's as pure as a fresh mountain stream. Which means, no sore eyes, no itching skin and no heavy chemical smell.
Yes! We do have a large Master Suite which includes a large bedroom, a large full bathroom with spa bath and a private sun terrace. This is available also on AirBnB or contact us direct if you have a group/family of up to 5 people to make a booking and require 2 rooms.
The privately owned, luxury villa is just 5 minutes by car away from Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tenga, Langkawi's beautiful holiday beach and tourist destination. Shops and restaurants are too far to comfortably walk to. So transport such as hire car/scooter or use of Grab/taxi is recommended for your stay and convenience.
Your stay at Andaman Hills Villa includes a basic breakfast with fresh brewed tea or coffee, juice, breakfast cereals plus toast/croissants and high quality jams/conserves. This will give you a quick energy boost without being overly full. Then you can sample some of the many restaurants which the island has to offer. You could try light & local for brunch or lunch and opt for a sumptuous feast to tempt your senses for dinner.
Depending upon your budget or what you are in the mood for, we can recommend and advise you on many of the restaurants on the island.
YOUR ROOM
The bedroom offered has a Queen-size solid teak bed with a fabulous mattress, hand-picked by the owner, to be comfortable and supportive which will definitely ensure an excellent night's sleep. Your room is fully air-conditioned with it's own ensuite bathroom and it also has an extra, private outdoor rain shower should you wish to be just a little more daring. If you don't wish to have the air-conditioning on, you can leave your private courtyard doors open to allow fresh air to circulate and use your ceiling fan instead.
A fold up cot is also available for a baby and a floor mattress for a small child at an additional charge.
INTERNET
You will have full, free wifi access anywhere in the villa so you can connect either with your laptop, tablet or smart-phone.
DINNING IN OR OUT
Breakfast consists of tea (many varieties) or freshly brewed French-press coffee and juice, cereals, toast*/croissants* plus jam/conserves. This is included in your room fee. This western style breakfast is available from *8.30am to 10.30am. You can plan your day's outings over breakfast and we'll be there to help, advise and show you on the map where every thing is.

DRINKS
Additional fresh brewed tea or coffee is available from the kitchen. We have a wide range of teas to choose from and french-press brewed coffee.
Chilled for your enjoyment, there is a wide range of beers (local & western); soft drinks, juices plus red or white wines. There is also a small range of spirits available that are selected for the tropical drinks or cocktails. So, you can make tropical cocktails or drinks such as Lemon Drops, G&T or use one of the other recipes we have on hand. Prices vary depending upon size of pot, beverage drink or snack chosen but all are very reasonable and generally lower than standard local duty free pricing in bars & restaurants.
If you wish to dine out we can help advise where you can find budget priced local foods, full breakfasts or brunches and right up to high end European standard fine dinning but at low island prices.
CHILDREN
Although it is specified we can only currently host 2 people, we are able to provide additional sleeping arrangements for 1 or 2 children. It must be noted though that the premises are not to be considered to be child-safe and all children must be fully supervised at all times. (The pool has no fencing and is fully accessible from anywhere in the entire villa.)
Folding cot, single bed or Asian style floor mattresses are all available at an additional cost.
TRANSPORTATION
Depending on your budget and what you wish to visit while on Langkawi, you will need to hire a car or scooter to get around. There are taxis or small taxi buses but the villa is 20 minutes outside of the main town of Kuah and about 5 minutes by car from the main beaches of Pantai Cenang or Pantai Tengah.
If you are here only 1 or 2 days, a chauffeur driven car, which could be hired for several hours, plus taxis may be a good budget option for getting around and visiting the main tourist highlights such as the cable car.We can discuss your options via email once you make a booking. We also have a scooter available for hire to guests.
We will also send you an information package on what the island has to offer which will include brochures, maps and food information. There will also be some links to websites so you can do a little of your own homework to see what you want to do while here. We can also assist with airport transfers, hire cars, tour bookings and anything else you need. We only recommend reputable services so you can be assured of quality at all times.
Guest access
You will have access to most of the villa and it's facilities. Which are the pool deck area and public outdoor areas, the kitchen with its selection of wines, beers, soft drinks and spirits plus most sun terrace areas. As there is only one other room available for guests, you will most likely have the pool to yourself for most of the time. You also have your own private courtyard terrace area off your room which is exclusive for your own use.
With prior arrangement, cooking is available on a limited basis, in a very well equipped kitchen, with most large and small appliances available. It is not a 24hr kitchen and there are limits on its use to fit in with other guests and the hosts own needs. Guests are expected to clean up after themselves but will need to liaise with the host to familiarise themselves with the idiosyncrasies of the kitchen, equipment and procedures. There will be additional charges if the kitchen is left in any other condition other than the condition in which it is found or if breakages occur.
We also have a washing machine and dryer if you need to use them. There are small nominal charges to cover costs.
During your stay
As we also live in the villa, we are always available to assist with planning which tourist attractions to visit and when is the best time to do so. We can also help with hiring a car or calling taxis plus all the other minor things that always requires local knowledge. We suggest you put what app or we chat on your phone as wifi is available all over the island and it is an easy way to contact us if you need help or advice.
Other things to note
Check in and out times are flexible and can be made to suit your flight times depending on the arrival of our next guest.
These times are specified in case we need to do a priority cleaning service of a room for a new guest arriving on the day you are leaving.
If this happens, you will need to vacate your room by 10am but you still can enjoy the villa's facilities, such as having a leisurely breakfast or a swim in the pool, until you need to catch your flight. Perhaps even spend a last morning at the beach and leave your baggage with me until it's time to go. We also have an additional bathroom in which you can freshen up or shower before you leave for your flight.
For the same reason, check-in is generally flexible. If there is a back-to-back booking and your room isn't ready, you are welcome to drop your bags off, go for lunch or even start your island exploration. Just before you arrive, we can discuss your itinerary to see what you want to do during your stay.
